[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam Waking up dreaming dark so long I cannot find meaning hold my hand let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all the these demons always roam me in this red light because me he is reaching out consuming.
[00:01:30] Speaker B: Hello everybody, welcome back to Goblins and Gaze. I'm Aubrey, your gm, and I'll tell some of my players to introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get rolling into things.
[00:01:38] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Maki. My pronouns are she, her and I play Gravewing, the Nagaji sylph, vigilante monk slash air kineticist who also uses she her pronouns and she is the party mom slash strategist of the rebellion.
[00:01:57] Speaker D: Hello, hello, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them and I play Leith Idrisi iv, the matricidal Dampier, dandy, rogue and spymaster who uses she any pronouns?
[00:02:10] Speaker E: Hello, I am Dusty, I use they he pronouns and I'm playing Yurido.
Just Yurido. Still, they are our nephilim cursed boy of a problem.
They are going to be the party and this rebellion's firebr and they also use they he pronouns.
[00:02:30] Speaker A: Hello, I am Faris, I use she her pronouns and I am playing Alouette Valer, a totally normal Nephilim thaumaturge bard having a very normal and good time learning all about her way more cursed family.
She also uses she her pronouns and is the anathema partisan.
[00:02:48] Speaker F: Hello, I am Sparlock, and both me and my character use he him pronouns.
I'm going by Alistair Whiskerfield, wizard detective extraordinaire, as heir to the fine, distinguished family of wizard mice, Ratzerts, Esoki, Arcanists, I swear I was always aware of it. I keep my whiskers to the ground to uncover the truth of the powers that be who subjugate us. By which I mean I'm our recruiter.
[00:03:20] Speaker G: And hello to round off the group. I am Tick, I have he, she, they pronouns and today you'll be late playing Nile, a flesh warp sorcerer who is just a totally ordinary cook and quartermaster for the group and definitely not a cannibal. Parentheses, He's a cannibal, but it's a dietary restriction, so don't be too mean to him.
[00:03:39] Speaker B: So what happened last time?
[00:03:41] Speaker G: Awesome. We had a fun totally normal shopping episode that was actually kind of a normal shopping episode for most of us.
Lou took the Pours to the shopping district to pick out some nice dresses for the masquerade.
I was very excited about it.
Alistair picked out the Worst looking outfit physically possible from the Wizard's Tower. And I think we're kind of gonna have to make him look a little bit more acceptable to society.
We had a bit of back and forth, and we figured out Yuri is very much trapped in a building that does not have a solid blueprint because it keeps constantly changing. So we're probably gonna have to just hunt him down and break him out at the ball. And honestly, we're doing ball prep. We're prepping our balls. You know, they're getting ready for this infiltration that we now are very.
It is a trap, but that is mostly. We are preparing to go to a fancy ball. We are prepared. We have gotten our little outfits. Yuri is sitting in gay jail with someone who will not stop yapping his ear off, who is also related to Grave Wing.
We love the ADHD yappers in jail because you can't escape them. And they can say whatever they want. But, yeah, some yappers, some messages, and we definitely know this ball is a trap, but all we got to do is walk right into it.
Heart emoji.
[00:04:56] Speaker B: Exactly. And the thing is, we do have one more round of rebellion actions before we get into the ball. So we'll start this session off with that.
It is the. It is a new week.
[00:05:14] Speaker G: But maybe another one for information gathering about this ball. Anything last minute that we might need to know.
[00:05:20] Speaker B: You've done a lot of information gathering about the ball.
[00:05:22] Speaker G: Okay.
[00:05:26] Speaker C: I believe we wanted to set something up potentially to make this mission a little bit easier, since we are aware that it is a trap.
[00:05:37] Speaker F: Yes, yes, agreed.
[00:05:41] Speaker A: Like, can we get somebody to smuggle weapons in for us or armor or both.
Is that a thing we could try?
Because the backup plan is just all of it goes under. Loose skirt.
[00:05:54] Speaker B: Yeah. If you wanted to have. Try to get somebody in there that will smuggle in, essentially, I will say depends on how well you roll. If it's weapons or armor.
[00:06:08] Speaker C: Hear me out. Hear me out.
I would like to use, like, majority of our actions to just keep setting up, because we're only thinking about breaking. We're not thinking about how to get out in a place that moves.
We're also not thinking about how to stay unseen or how to cause a diversion to even break in in the first place. So it's. If we're thinking about, like, let's say, smuggling. Smuggling gear.
Armor specifically, I'm going to point on that one. But weapons are also good.
Smuggling gear, a way in or distraction and then a way out, I think is very important. Because there is absolutely no guarantee that we can just our way out.
[00:06:54] Speaker B: With.
[00:06:54] Speaker C: The metagame knowledge of the.
[00:06:56] Speaker A: Of the.
[00:06:56] Speaker C: Of the moth thingy coming in and out, taking basically a whole day by a way in.
[00:07:03] Speaker A: Do you mean beyond, like, actually entering the party?
[00:07:05] Speaker C: Getting, like, beyond actually entering the party?
[00:07:08] Speaker A: Yes. Okay.
[00:07:09] Speaker C: It's. It's like, here's the party floor. We have to get out of the party floor full of people and. Or guards to get further into the house. In theory. That's the easiest part.
[00:07:19] Speaker G: Part.
[00:07:19] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:07:20] Speaker C: But, like, you know what I mean? It's like, do we cause a dis. Like, if we wanted to prep a distraction, right.
[00:07:26] Speaker A: Where.
[00:07:26] Speaker C: What. How many are we? We're like eight people getting in and out because we're bringing Lorelei and Juniper. So we're like eight people regardless. And then we have. We're gonna. We're gonna leave as 10. So, like, that's what I'm thinking. We need to. We're in a public place technically, with a lot of people.
[00:07:48] Speaker A: Just, like, off of that. But not necessarily related to setup. Just to say it so I don't forget for later. It's probably a good idea for us to enter in clumps and not as a single group. And to stay spread out apart from when we actually, like, slip away.
And the slipping away should also probably be in clusters, as opposed to, like, one or two at a time, just to keep association between us down and also to draw less attention to ourselves because we will be smaller groups.
This is not just an excuse to make out with Leith as a distraction.
[00:08:26] Speaker B: I promise.
[00:08:27] Speaker A: This is natural.
This is actual tactic.
I've been watching a lot of leverage. Okay.
[00:08:34] Speaker G: I don't know, man. That last comment at the end really got me unconvinced.
[00:08:38] Speaker C: I was. I was on your side of my.
[00:08:40] Speaker A: Sentence, and I realized I was setting up a possibility for that, and I just.
[00:08:45] Speaker D: I had to acknowledge that for myself.
[00:08:46] Speaker C: You should have just kept that to yourself, because now I have doubt.
[00:08:49] Speaker G: You had us in the first half, and then you had to. You were like, hold on. I got to confess to what I just realized.
You know what? I'll pretend I didn't hear you say that last part. I think it's a really cool strategic idea.
[00:09:00] Speaker C: I won't. I know how this relationship works, but, yeah, no, for sure.
Definitely thinking that way as well. I'm just more worried about the fact that we are all wearing very fancy outfits that are big, and then we're going into essentially, the basement that is also a maze, and then we're Separating also around there.
That's.
[00:09:28] Speaker A: That's.
[00:09:28] Speaker C: Those are the parts that I'm thinking of. So that's why I'm like, I'm.
I'm pitching for two minimum of. Of of our rebellion things to be put into setup.
I really don't think we need to recruit this week.
[00:09:43] Speaker A: We have priorities this week. If we spend the whole time setting something up, I'm happy with that. I don't think anything else is critical for this week.
[00:09:53] Speaker F: Wait, why are we splitting up again? I mean, can't.
[00:09:55] Speaker B: We just.
[00:09:56] Speaker C: Might have to.
[00:09:56] Speaker A: Because it's a maze.
In order to search it without getting found. Like to search also.
[00:10:02] Speaker C: We're also looking for the control room.
[00:10:05] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:06] Speaker C: Which we're going to plop Juniper in and then we have to get her out as well as getting Yuri and my brother in law out. So the idea. Idea is we don't want eight people to go in together and then come out as 10 people.
[00:10:20] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:20] Speaker C: This is not World War II. We are not Lithuania. Liechtenstein. There you go. We're not that. Yeah.
Liechtenstein went into World War II to fight in one war and came back with more people because they made friends with like Italians and stuff.
[00:10:36] Speaker A: Plus we might also have to leave people behind for distraction purposes potentially depending on what the situation is when we get there.
[00:10:45] Speaker C: The idea that we're gonna be. We will be split up is more likely.
Yeah. Than us wanting to.
[00:10:53] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:55] Speaker C: And then again, I'm also thinking about ways out.
[00:10:58] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:02] Speaker G: Yeah. I'm not against using everything I you. My default is to be like, let's just try to lower our threshold a bit. But also, I don't think we did much this.
[00:11:11] Speaker A: We did nothing shopping and that was it.
[00:11:14] Speaker G: Yeah. And outsider knowledge. We're already fucked. But like inside our knowledge, our threat.
[00:11:18] Speaker A: Level is really low.
[00:11:19] Speaker C: Like.
[00:11:20] Speaker G: Yeah. Like we probably won't trigger an inquisition or anything like that. You know, like, we're fine.
[00:11:26] Speaker C: No. We're at threat level 23.
[00:11:28] Speaker B: 23.
[00:11:28] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:11:29] Speaker B: 14 is what you rolled last week.
[00:11:31] Speaker C: Yep.
[00:11:31] Speaker B: Yeah, we.
[00:11:31] Speaker G: We decreased it a lot last week. If we triggered an inquisition, we'd have to roll a 14. But we don't know anything about that, so it's okay.
[00:11:39] Speaker A: We certainly wouldn't roll below the number twice.
[00:11:44] Speaker G: Yeah. That would be super unlucky and something only me or Faris could do. Anyways, I'm down using all three actions to prepare.
Like one for smuggling stuff in, one for escape routes type of deal.
One for getting Yuri out. I almost said getting Lou and Lake the kiss. And I was like, hold On a second. I shouldn't say that.
[00:12:04] Speaker A: We don't need us spend factions on that. We can do that all on our own.
[00:12:08] Speaker C: We also don't need to spend anything to get Yuri out. Because in theory, that's what we're doing in the first place.
We gotta spend. I think we should spend something to set up a distraction that is big enough to get eight people in fancy costumes away without it looking like, oh, so the group is going this way.
[00:12:31] Speaker A: Something that's not an explosion, probably.
So we don't necessarily.
[00:12:36] Speaker C: Absolutely not.
[00:12:37] Speaker A: We don't want them to be like, oh, hey, Anathema, we're here.
[00:12:41] Speaker C: Huh?
[00:12:43] Speaker A: They'll probably know anyway.
[00:12:44] Speaker C: But if you say, Dusty, I don't want anything that will bring. That will alert more guards to an area.
[00:12:54] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm just saying. I got you as far as distractions.
[00:12:57] Speaker A: Oh, super quick. Food poisoning. Helpful.
[00:13:00] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:00] Speaker C: Also, again, yeah, I was gonna say, like, food poisoning. Loki makes sense.
Starting, like, I don't know, like, bringing in people and being like, okay, new surprise music act. Things like that. I mean, where the crowd and the attention will go to, like, one area versus the fact that we know that this is a trap.
[00:13:21] Speaker A: Allowed breakup.
[00:13:23] Speaker D: I was going to say l could do a distraction, but I was going.
[00:13:26] Speaker C: To say a loud breakup could work. We might need. The idea is we might need multiple distractions here.
[00:13:31] Speaker A: Yeah, that might be how we get everybody back backstage. Quote, unquote. Is having a loud. A recom. Maybe Lathe can fight a duel for me. You know, who knows? We'll just have to play by.
[00:13:45] Speaker D: Is good at dueling.
[00:13:47] Speaker A: Not noticeably.
[00:13:52] Speaker C: Oh, nice.
[00:13:56] Speaker A: All right, I'm just gonna roll these.
[00:14:00] Speaker G: Can I roll the Poison people's food, like, for the. For the prep thing as a distraction?
Listen, you just said food poison. My brain immediately just went, mama would be so proud of me.
[00:14:10] Speaker F: You know, I can cast a signal skyrocket within a thousand feet using one of my.
[00:14:21] Speaker C: Scrolls.
[00:14:22] Speaker F: One of my scrolls, yeah.
[00:14:26] Speaker B: Well, so what are you going to set up?
I want you to know that, like, trying to massively poison food is not something you probably can set up.
You could poison a little bit of it, but there's just going to be a lot that is going to be cooked constantly, essentially.
[00:14:53] Speaker F: Do we just make sure one of the cooks doesn't, like, wash their hands?
[00:14:59] Speaker C: I was wondering if we can maybe poison what the guards eat. Because the guards don't eat the same thing what the people.
[00:15:05] Speaker B: If you're, like, focusing on something like poisoning guards food, that's much easier than just Poisoning food. Because it's also like, you're going to a massive masquerade ball. There's going to be so much food.
It's very opulent. These people like to show off that they have money.
So you got like, you're gonna have like full course foods and you're also gonna have desserts and then like just sort of, you know, finger food and things like that.
[00:15:31] Speaker A: Be able to just like poison like a bottle of like whiskey or something like that.
[00:15:36] Speaker G: Usually the water supplies.
[00:15:39] Speaker C: Yeah, but they're not drinking water. They're rich people.
[00:15:43] Speaker G: Do they not drink? Do rich people not drink water?
[00:15:46] Speaker C: Not at a party, no. Rich people are gonna. The rich people will crack open like 50 year old drinks and then not drink it.
I'm scared of pretending we are. We gotta think. You got to think. Please think.
Like very nouveau riche French Revolution rich. The kind that started people killing more people because they said, fuck your taxes, I want cake, so.
[00:16:14] Speaker B: Exactly.
[00:16:15] Speaker C: Which is also not what she said. I play tug of war with French Revolution. I love the French Revolution.
But like, that's the idea. You need to think kind of really gross expenditure. Like.
Like Katy Perry going to the moon.
[00:16:33] Speaker B: Exactly.
[00:16:33] Speaker C: Not to the moon. To space. For 15 minutes to overshadow the. The two women that should have been in there in the first place.
[00:16:40] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:16:40] Speaker C: Like that. That vibe. That vibe. It's like the world is suffering. What if I did this face?
[00:16:47] Speaker B: Yeah. It's these. These are people who have more money than Niall you would ever see in multiple lifetimes. They are there. There is going to be a lot of food. They're not going to be drinking water. And if you were to po.
Might like fall out into the district itself.
[00:17:05] Speaker A: Yeah.
Honestly, poisoning the alcohol seems like the best route.
[00:17:09] Speaker E: Yeah. If you poison water, you have a.
[00:17:11] Speaker A: Higher chance of like not the. The guest alcohol than the guard alcohol. Because they're guaranteed to have something, whatever.
[00:17:19] Speaker C: The guards are eating or drinking. Poisoning. That makes the most sense because they will. Those guys will unfortunately eat and drink the same thing.
[00:17:27] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:17:27] Speaker C: They're here. They're here to do a work.
[00:17:31] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:17:32] Speaker C: Even when they slack off, they're still not available.
[00:17:41] Speaker A: So let's roll.
[00:17:47] Speaker B: Yeah. So first one who would like to roll for that? I mean, if it's. It makes sense for crafting.
[00:17:56] Speaker G: Wow. I like to poison people's alcohol when they're not looking.
Not water because they're too fancy to drink water. They only drink water that comes from the moon itself.
[00:18:04] Speaker A: You're so hard. Let's be honest. Water is harder to Poison anyway.
[00:18:07] Speaker G: Lacroix water.
I don't know, it sounds fancy.
I got a nat 20 for a 34 of poison.
[00:18:22] Speaker C: Very good.
[00:18:23] Speaker G: I'm really good at it. I made something that will upset their stomach.
I wish you guys watched Assassination Classroom. I would have a great reference for it.
But it'll give them a really bad stomachache and not kill them, but make them shit their innards out.
[00:18:38] Speaker A: That's the idea.
[00:18:39] Speaker B: That's the hope.
[00:18:42] Speaker G: Oh, no. Don't smile at me like that.
Be nice to me. I'm small.
[00:18:48] Speaker C: Hey, hey, hey. Critting. Hey, Critting. If you see right here.
[00:18:53] Speaker A: Crit.
[00:18:54] Speaker C: Success on Set something up as you get what you're looking for. And one more thing. Up to the GM's discretion. Don't fucking do that to us. We just said we want to avoid a murder, you dumbass. Like dehydrate them because they're so hard. Like, do that instead.
[00:19:07] Speaker E: They're rich.
Who gives a.
[00:19:10] Speaker C: Not the guards.
And when the guards are knocked out and other people see they're gonna call for more backup. That's the thing we don't want.
[00:19:20] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, you'll definitely get something more for that as well. I was just making a joke that, you know, you may be too successful with the poisoning.
[00:19:31] Speaker C: Don't joke like that, bestie. We gotta rescue two people. One of them being a PC that like, kind of wants to die. We gotta.
[00:19:37] Speaker D: We gotta.
[00:19:38] Speaker C: We gotta stop this.
[00:19:41] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely.
[00:19:43] Speaker C: On us.
[00:19:43] Speaker B: Two more actions.
[00:19:49] Speaker C: Can I roll for finding an exit?
[00:19:52] Speaker B: Finding an exit. Yes, you can.
[00:19:53] Speaker C: Yeah.
Would you say society or survival?
I would do survival. I was like. I was going to argue society.
[00:20:04] Speaker B: I mean, honestly, either of them would work because it's. It's either one of your skills. But society would be make sense for. For maps and knowing layouts. Survival would just be survival.
[00:20:16] Speaker C: This mushroom edible gonna do society.
All right, nice.
That's 26.
[00:20:30] Speaker B: Yeah, 26. It is not a critical success, but it is a success.
[00:20:35] Speaker A: Nice.
[00:20:36] Speaker C: So we have.
[00:20:37] Speaker B: There will be somebody in the. That will give you an exit.
It essentially is going to depend on what. Like the exit is going to depend on, like, what configuration the house is in at the time. But they will have an exit for you.
[00:20:52] Speaker A: Perfect.
[00:20:59] Speaker G: Third one is smuggling stuff in.
[00:21:00] Speaker C: Right.
[00:21:00] Speaker G: Like weapons.
[00:21:03] Speaker A: Getting gears.
[00:21:08] Speaker G: Who's good at smuggling?
[00:21:14] Speaker D: I was gonna say I can smuggle things.
[00:21:16] Speaker G: I would say Leith is very good at hiding her feelings. She's probably good at hiding armor and weapons.
[00:21:19] Speaker C: Too late is so bad at hiding their feelings. It's the intentions that they're good at hiding.
[00:21:28] Speaker A: Let me make them lying about their feelings.
[00:21:32] Speaker C: No, no, no, no, no. You gotta. You gotta. You gotta be correct if you want to make fun of Leif.
[00:21:40] Speaker D: My stealth and thievery are the same, and that is a 26.
[00:21:45] Speaker B: 26. Also a success, but not a critical success.
So for a success, I will let you choose either between weapons or armor.
[00:21:58] Speaker D: If. What if we have hidden weapons, like on hidden weapons?
[00:22:02] Speaker B: Hidden weapons will.
That's the thing that you will make, like, checks to sneak them into the party itself.
[00:22:10] Speaker D: Okay, cool. Then my boat would be armor. But I am happy to listen to folks. The only thing would be like getting a weapon for Yuri. But we could, like, steal shit.
[00:22:20] Speaker A: I can handle that. Oh, I already have a plan for it.
[00:22:30] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:22:30] Speaker A: I think armor then.
[00:22:33] Speaker C: I benefit from neither because I don't use weapons or armor. So it's. It's truly up to y' all.
[00:22:40] Speaker G: I also don't use weapons or armor. I don't think.
[00:22:45] Speaker A: I definitely do.
I think it's a lot easier to smuggle a weapon than armor.
[00:22:55] Speaker B: Yeah, there are.
[00:22:56] Speaker A: Because I have a poofy dress.
Put it underneath.
[00:23:00] Speaker B: How's your thievery?
[00:23:03] Speaker A: Don't ask.
[00:23:04] Speaker D: I have a poofy outfit. You can put it on me.
My thievery is good.
[00:23:12] Speaker A: If Laythe hides it in Lou's skirt.
[00:23:15] Speaker D: Does Leif get to roll the thievery chest?
[00:23:18] Speaker F: It looks like it's actually stealth. Possibly the conceal an object.
[00:23:25] Speaker A: It better.
[00:23:28] Speaker G: Chemical stuff that might need to be smuggled in. But I can go without male chemical stuff in a pinch.
[00:23:35] Speaker C: You just keep it in a flask and be like, so I can't bring in my own. Did you check everybody else for their flask?
[00:23:43] Speaker A: An old man.
[00:23:44] Speaker B: They're just really good at hiding their flasks.
[00:23:46] Speaker A: Look at this.
[00:23:47] Speaker G: Suspicious. It's like, hey, what you got in the vial? It's vinegar. You want to take.
[00:23:54] Speaker C: Nile downing vinegar in public just to prove a point.
[00:23:59] Speaker G: Nile drinking suspicious. It's like, hey, we want to make sure the poison. I'll just drink a shot of whatever the is in the alchemical vial and be like, all right. Understandable. Have a good day.
[00:24:10] Speaker B: Things like that, you're going to have to roll to sneak into the party. Unless you want them. Unless you want to send them with the like. Say, if you were doing weapons and you wanted to get your alchemical stuff in there, that would count.
[00:24:27] Speaker F: It might be good to sneak weapons. And I don't.
I don't have anything that's useful for me. That's light Bulk.
[00:24:39] Speaker G: I don't think a lot of us really use like armor much, so maybe weapons might be a good idea.
[00:24:46] Speaker A: It is difference of one for me if I have armor on or off. So I guess weapons are maybe better.
[00:24:55] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:24:57] Speaker D: Two, but I'm fine doing weapons if that's better for folks.
[00:25:03] Speaker F: There is also a question, like, because we couldn't like, come in and like chain mail or plate mail, but we might be able to hide leather armor under our clothes.
Question mark.
[00:25:19] Speaker B: You're gonna have to.
You're gonna have to roll for things like that.
[00:25:24] Speaker A: Fair.
[00:25:25] Speaker B: If you were seeing if you had something like an armored coat that would be a lot easier to sneak in than, you know, actual leather armor.
Well, that.
[00:25:35] Speaker F: I mean, that's what I'm saying is that that's basically what leather armor is. Is. It's a.
[00:25:42] Speaker B: There's an actual item called armored coat.
[00:25:44] Speaker A: What does it take to get the armored coat? Actually, because I've. I've had it on my wish list for a while and I forgot about it.
[00:25:52] Speaker F: I've never heard of this thing.
[00:25:56] Speaker B: It's been literally.
[00:25:57] Speaker E: That's what Yuri was wearing for like the past.
[00:25:59] Speaker A: I think that was my prologue armor, actually.
[00:26:02] Speaker B: Yeah.
It's 20 gold.
[00:26:05] Speaker A: I have money.
[00:26:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:26:08] Speaker A: I'm gonna buy an armor coat.
[00:26:11] Speaker B: I don't know if Yuri was wearing this.
[00:26:12] Speaker C: We don't have 20 gold anymore in the area.
[00:26:14] Speaker E: I was.
I. I wear the coat.
Do it. Yes. No, I wore the coat because I was still traveling. I didn't. I only had my ax gun because I didn't want to let it out of my sight. Good. That did.
That was my entice fault, but I was wearing my coat.
[00:26:35] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:26:35] Speaker B: Yeah. The. The spider silk coat that you got from.
[00:26:37] Speaker C: I was just a spider. So we did get an armored code, but it went to someone else.
[00:26:44] Speaker F: So.
[00:26:45] Speaker B: Yeah. If anybody wants to spend the. The 20 gold for the armored coat, it is a lot easier. I will say, like, the armored coat is super easy to.
Because it is.
It makes a lot more sense where you would easily incorporate something like that into your look or, you know, it's cold because it is fall and it's.
Let me ask them. Let me ask the. The map. The calendar how. What the temperature is today.
[00:27:16] Speaker A: It's also better AC for me than what I was wearing. It gives me a. But a 2 bonus versus apparently just one.
[00:27:26] Speaker F: I actually have the same with.
With I'm unarmored versus the armored coat.
[00:27:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
So the. Because yeah, it's got a dex penalty on it.
So it would be 4 to 9 degrees Celsius that day.
[00:27:46] Speaker A: 4 to 9.
[00:27:48] Speaker C: That's chill.
[00:27:49] Speaker B: Yeah. 4 to 9 degrees Celsius.
Chili.
[00:27:54] Speaker C: Chili. Depends if it wins or not. Yeah, but, like, otherwise pretty, pretty fine.
[00:28:01] Speaker F: Can you translate that to freedom units?
[00:28:04] Speaker A: It's about 40. A little 40, maybe 42 at most.
Basically, what we've been having.
[00:28:11] Speaker F: I felt dirty saying that.
I do have a good argument for why to use Fahrenheit over Celsius specifically, though, but not right now.
[00:28:22] Speaker A: It's human temperature.
[00:28:23] Speaker B: Well, this is the only option that the. The map gave me, so.
[00:28:26] Speaker A: Fair enough.
[00:28:28] Speaker C: The map is correct.
So are we. Are we doing weapons? Are we doing armor? We are doing weapons.
[00:28:40] Speaker A: If you want armor, you have to bring it yourself.
[00:28:42] Speaker C: Okay, that makes sense.
I'm putting, like, in the rebellion notes, I'm just putting weapons for the party, plus Yuri, like, because I feel like if it's gonna be that big, it.
[00:28:52] Speaker B: Should be able to, you know, can get Yuri's weapon.
[00:28:56] Speaker C: Bring in something for Tristan.
[00:28:58] Speaker B: Yeah, you can as well.
[00:29:00] Speaker C: Nice.
[00:29:02] Speaker B: Bring a gun.
[00:29:04] Speaker C: Yeah, I was gonna say bring guns.
[00:29:07] Speaker B: Aubrey.
[00:29:09] Speaker A: Would I have to smuggle in my tarot deck, or could I bring that in? Like, look, I'm gonna do pretty tricks.
Like, I can send it along with the weapons, but if I.
[00:29:20] Speaker B: No, I. I think that would be super easy to pass off as, you know, because it's not obvious. No, like, that the. The cards are weapons.
[00:29:31] Speaker A: Excellent.
[00:29:31] Speaker B: They'll just be like, oh, that's a hero deck. Okay, that's fine.
[00:29:34] Speaker D: I'll put in a little drawstring purse.
[00:29:36] Speaker A: And be like, I'm gonna do party tricks.
By which I mean stabbing people. Just kidding.
[00:29:52] Speaker B: All right, so, yeah, you're going to spend that last one until you'll get weapons.
And so also, you have all of the moths. They arrive at some point, this swarm of mechanical moths, so you all can at least smuggle in one of those.
[00:30:16] Speaker E: Oh, nice. How many? How many did.
I don't think we actually said it on thing. How many? The same heart sent them.
[00:30:22] Speaker B: Let me roll something real quick.
You have. Counting the original one, you have seven.
[00:30:30] Speaker E: So great. So seven total moss.
Did. How many are. Did Steinhardt just send one back to Yuri?
[00:30:41] Speaker B: Yeah, you would have. You would have the one. The one.
[00:30:43] Speaker E: Okay, cool, cool, cool. Sick beans.
[00:30:47] Speaker B: So if there's any messages that you want to send the.
Essentially leading up to the ball.
[00:30:55] Speaker E: I. I do, but I want to make sure all the rebellion shit's done first.
[00:30:58] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah, the rebellion stuff, all three actions are done just for shits and giggles. Roll me that D100.
[00:31:06] Speaker G: Can I do it?
[00:31:07] Speaker B: Sure.
[00:31:07] Speaker A: And do worse than I did. I want to trigger.
[00:31:10] Speaker G: You can't do worse, right?
[00:31:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:31:14] Speaker A: I mean, we can't do it again.
[00:31:19] Speaker F: Double inquisition.
[00:31:21] Speaker G: Can we get a double inquisition?
[00:31:24] Speaker B: No.
[00:31:24] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:31:25] Speaker G: Okay, that's.
That's a good thing. We can't get a double inquisition.
[00:31:32] Speaker C: Don't give her any ideas.
[00:31:35] Speaker G: Hey, she already said it. I got a five.
Just a five.
So.
[00:31:43] Speaker A: Theoretically, in a different system, this would be great news.
[00:31:48] Speaker B: This is called Cthulhu. You'd be so fine.
[00:31:54] Speaker F: Nothing bad's happening.
[00:31:59] Speaker G: Inquisitions. Me specifically. Now we're getting to five.
[00:32:02] Speaker B: Yeah. No. Rebellion actions are done. And we are leading up with all of you preparing for the ball. Yuri, messages you want to send?
[00:32:12] Speaker E: Yeah, first message I want to send.
Like the day after we get the new moss.
I want to like it kind of dawns on your. Recently they haven't said to the party, so I'm gonna say that's who it's being sent to.
I don't have anyone eat or drink anything at the party.
Potencia has been making a very dangerous poison and selling it to all the nobles.
They've been testing it on that and it's working.
So just make sure to keep an eye out.
The first signs are paralysis and such.
Stay safe.
I'm just going to send that out to the wind.
[00:33:18] Speaker B: Yeah. Lou, you get that moth that gives you that wonderful positive message?
[00:33:26] Speaker A: Yeah, that's distressing enough for feathers.
And she's gonna go tell the group that maybe we didn't have to spend all that time poisoning the guards. Maybe they're just gonna get poisoned on their own. And also, you know, my aunt sucks.
Add to the family list of family members who suck. Auntie.
[00:33:57] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:34:00] Speaker G: Oh, well, that's okay, I guess.
A little sad about the nautilus, a little sad about their poisoning going to waste.
[00:34:09] Speaker A: But it's all right. We have no guarantee that it is happening or who it is targeting. So it's just a precaution.
I was mostly joking because otherwise I will turn into a giant bird.
[00:34:25] Speaker C: Also, I don't think that they would be poisoning their own guards.
[00:34:29] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:34:33] Speaker G: That does make more sense. Yes.
[00:34:38] Speaker A: Do we have anything to tell Yori in return about this or anything else?
I don't want to give them too much information in case it is not secure, but any sort of thing we should pass along.
[00:34:58] Speaker C: We shouldn't be passing along anything unless we actually have information I don't want them to have them on.
It's a little weird, but it's Just, they just need one guy to overhear it and then they'll know exactly how it works and can make it work for them.
[00:35:23] Speaker A: If we don't send one back, though, they may think something is wrong.
Can you send your wind message to tell them this?
[00:35:34] Speaker C: Yeah, I just got to get back within the district.
[00:35:43] Speaker B: Yeah, I can say you can pass that along. At some point during the week, you'll obviously be heading to the midnights at least once to get everything ready.
Well, yeah, and.
[00:35:59] Speaker E: I. I was going to say, what, during this, like, week period, could I cause, like, problems at the prison house possibly?
[00:36:09] Speaker B: What kind of problems?
[00:36:12] Speaker E: I.
So I'm mostly. Tristan is talking still, and I. I want to ask, like, have you tried just like, what are these doors made out of? Have you tried just going out of here?
[00:36:32] Speaker B: Well, these are made with a Titan steel alloy that has like, five different metals that I list and say they're immune to. They cannot be melted, and yada, yada, yada, essentially is you'd have to have some of the real good from my shop to get through these stores.
[00:36:52] Speaker E: And can they be opened by any of the guards, per chance?
[00:37:00] Speaker B: They've never opened them while I'm in here. They magic everything in that we need.
[00:37:11] Speaker E: Well, then this is very fortunate all around.
Like, later, could I wait for one of the guards to come by and start talking at them?
[00:37:33] Speaker B: So, fun fact, guards don't walk by on a regular basis.
Yeah, they. They kind of just have left you down here.
[00:37:42] Speaker E: So, like, it's been a minute since I've seen anyone.
[00:37:44] Speaker B: Yeah, anyone. You just hear Tristan. You actually haven't seen him. He's in the cell beside you. Yeah, yeah, Literally. It's just you're kind of being left down here for the time being.
[00:37:57] Speaker E: Okay, then I.
The answer is, I cannot cause problems.
Yeah, I could just be one, but even then, they don't care.
[00:38:05] Speaker C: Cool.
[00:38:06] Speaker A: Yeah, that's me. Continue.
[00:38:09] Speaker B: Yeah, you send the message off and we slowly approach the day itself.
Leo, would you like to draw a card?
[00:38:29] Speaker A: For like a hot second there, I thought you were asking me to draw from my Omen deck and I about lost it. I'm like, no, I'm not ready.
[00:38:41] Speaker G: Any card.
[00:38:42] Speaker A: Yeah, I want to draw from this. I want to draw a Harrow card. Jeez.
Is that how you all felt? Visceral fear?
[00:38:51] Speaker B: Yeah. No, exactly.
Eventually you all will hear Forbidden project.
Okay.
You pull over this card of a snake.
It's a liar.
The Chaotic Evil card in the.
The crowns.
[00:39:30] Speaker G: That doesn't sound very good.
And be honest with you guys, it sounds a little scary.
[00:39:39] Speaker A: How's that one?
[00:39:40] Speaker B: Liar. It represents destructive, treacherous love.
The Lamia signals obsession, Star crossed lovers or unrequited desire.
[00:39:50] Speaker C: I don't.
[00:39:52] Speaker A: I don't like it.
[00:39:54] Speaker G: This is very good. Can we draw a new one?
[00:39:59] Speaker A: Stop reading me out loud.
Tarot cards. Cheese.
[00:40:05] Speaker C: So it's just your current relationship with everybody?
[00:40:11] Speaker A: With my entire. Anyone who mattered to me as being.
[00:40:15] Speaker C: I wonder who the common denominator is.
[00:40:18] Speaker A: Me.
[00:40:22] Speaker C: Oh, God, this.
[00:40:23] Speaker A: This is burning. Everything Lou has ever thought about herself.
Cool. That was chaotic Evil, you said?
[00:40:35] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:40:36] Speaker A: Okay, I get to make you at disadvantage. Rad.
Are we. Is this day of or day before this?
[00:40:55] Speaker B: Day of.
[00:40:56] Speaker A: Okay, can I do also my talismans while we're sitting here?
[00:41:00] Speaker B: Yeah, give out your talismans.
[00:41:02] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:41:04] Speaker C: Actually, can I request something during the nebulous time before.
[00:41:08] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly.
[00:41:09] Speaker C: Okay. You do your talisman shit first, though, because I interrupted you.
[00:41:13] Speaker A: Oh, no, no. If your stuff happens first, we'll go chronologically for ease.
[00:41:21] Speaker C: I still have something. I have something to give Nadia, but I don't really know Nadia, so I have to give it to Laithe and tell Laith to give it to Nadia.
So during our nebulous week, I will pluck lace from the sea.
I don't know where you are, stop you from going out or something like that. Like, just as you're about to head out and be like, hey.
[00:41:49] Speaker A: Hey, I.
[00:41:52] Speaker C: Have something for your sister.
I pull out a little pouch, I toss it over to you.
[00:42:01] Speaker D: I will take it and not open it, but sort of weigh it in my hand and say, what is it?
[00:42:09] Speaker C: It's a little trinket I'm having.
I'm having. Having so many trinkets made, I'm superstitious as fuck. So there's a lot of whack shit going on.
Think of this as, like, warding off bad vibes and enforcing good ones.
She should not take it off. I don't trust.
Literally, the next few months.
[00:42:44] Speaker D: Leith sort.
[00:42:44] Speaker A: Of.
[00:42:47] Speaker D: Looks down at the little bag again, opens her mouth to say something, visibly chooses not to say it, and instead just says, yeah, I'll pass it along.
[00:43:03] Speaker C: All right. Oh, if it breaks, just let me know. I can fix it.
[00:43:09] Speaker D: Right?
And Laith will pass it along to Nadia, but basically tell her, like, I don't know what this is or why. I figured you could do something. And she, like, does a little, like, magic finger waggle and figure out if it's, like, magic or tracking you or something.
[00:43:42] Speaker B: And not, like, okay. And it effectively is a level Zero.
You know, spellcaster. So there's at least access to cantrips.
We'll use detect magic and be like it. There's no magic here.
[00:43:57] Speaker D: Oh great. Just a gift then.
[00:44:05] Speaker B: Yeah.
And we'll. It was a. It was a. Like a bangle, right?
[00:44:14] Speaker C: Oh, I think she should have a pendant so she can wear like a necklace. Yeah. A lot of people are getting pendants because they're the easiest thing to make the bangles and the earrings very hyper specific.
[00:44:25] Speaker B: Oh yeah. No, I was. I wasn't sure who was getting wet.
[00:44:28] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:44:28] Speaker B: So. Yeah.
[00:44:29] Speaker C: Which is made too. So this is. It's a little easy to confuse them all.
[00:44:33] Speaker B: Yeah.
Saya. She will wear the necklace. You know, graveling is scary. Graveling says this is for your protection. Nadia will wear it.
[00:44:44] Speaker C: It's a cool looking necklace though. Iridescent scales.
[00:44:52] Speaker B: All right. And talismans.
[00:44:57] Speaker A: Aye.
Okay, so I need to make a new. The new talisman.
[00:45:13] Speaker B: One.
[00:45:14] Speaker A: One hot second.
Yeah. I have to do it. May not matter now since we're smuggling in weaponry actually instead of armor. I can't smuggle in armor for Yuri.
So they're just gonna have to not get killed. Or take my coat. One of the two.
I'll do it anyway because I feel like more weapons is more good for Yuri.
So I'm going to attune a little like glass prism.
I'm gonna wear it as like a necklace and attune it to one of Yuri's smaller guns. Anything that's a bulk one weapon. I'll let Yuri actually choose which one it is.
[00:46:07] Speaker C: And.
[00:46:09] Speaker A: Also is going to do a lover's knot which is gonna go 2Laythe.
Don't read into it. You have no con. You die in every combat situation.
Yeah, and we'll. We'll get that.
Actually do I want to do a scene with Lays.
I'm gonna do a scene with Lace. Can I have a scene with La La?
Okay then. Yeah. I think while she's readying the last talisman like we'll calm down wherever Laythe is and say Laythe. Can you come here please?
[00:47:05] Speaker D: Oh, everyone has something for me today. And she will go to you.
[00:47:12] Speaker A: And we'll tie the talisman around your wrist or wherever it works best with your outfit.
You will be careful, right? You will not be reckless.
[00:47:30] Speaker D: I won't be any more reckless than I need to be. Alouette.
[00:47:35] Speaker A: Can you be none? Can you be none Reckless?
[00:47:41] Speaker D: We're in reckless times.
[00:47:46] Speaker A: Yes. Well, I would appreciate it if I did not have to worry about you for once during all of this.
[00:47:58] Speaker D: If worrying about me is the cost to get Yida back, I think that you can bear it.
[00:48:06] Speaker A: I.
Every moment trying to not become a uncontrolled bird monster, which is more difficult than you can imagine.
So really, the last thing I need is worrying about you.
And if I have to watch you fall on death doorstep one more time, please just forward. Can you look out for yourself?
[00:48:37] Speaker D: Would that mean that you would stop looking out for me?
[00:48:43] Speaker A: Of course not. That is what this is for.
It sort of pats the talisman.
[00:48:52] Speaker D: Then I'm sure I'll be fine.
And Jaredo will be fine as well.
[00:49:03] Speaker A: I.
I cannot speak to that. I don't think hope is as bad as pessimism right now.
[00:49:23] Speaker D: Well, I'll carry the hope for you until we reach him.
[00:49:34] Speaker A: Thank you.
Also, Leif, there is a possibility that you might hear things at the ball that concern you. And just don't worry about them, okay?
Don't worry about them?
[00:49:51] Speaker D: That's been my experience at ball since I started going to them.
I can't imagine.
I mean, for once, the rumors will be true. I really did kill my mother, so.
[00:50:06] Speaker A: Oh, right. The mother killing. That's not what I thought of. But you're so right. And that is what we're going to say. I was thinking of.
[00:50:17] Speaker D: What were you thinking of?
[00:50:25] Speaker A: You know, Metrocyte and other things that start with M.
[00:50:34] Speaker B: Bells are ringing in the background.
[00:50:45] Speaker D: Are you concerned about any rumors? Have you heard anything lately?
[00:50:58] Speaker A: Absolutely not.
Maybe. Except for a little something that maybe my father mentioned in passing more than once.
Okay. If I tell you something, can you promise not to get mad at me about it? Because.
Because I am trying not to be a giant bird monster at any moment.
[00:51:25] Speaker C: All right.
[00:51:30] Speaker A: There may be a small, tiny, tiny, little, temporary rumor that. That there is an engagement between two present people in this room right now.
[00:51:47] Speaker D: I'm sorry. You knew about that?
[00:51:49] Speaker C: I started.
[00:51:52] Speaker D: What?
I'm not upset, Alouette. I'm just a little confused.
[00:52:00] Speaker A: Okay. Well. Okay. So I went to tell Papa that I would not be living at home for the time being, because obviously you could not be doing this and living at home.
But I can't tell him what I am doing because I would probably get disowned at the very best, if not just outright allowed to die. I don't know. It is heresy.
And. And I.
You know, I haven't had a lot of practice thinking of things on the. On the. On the fly, as it were. And so I thought of the only thing that made sense for why I was suddenly leaving home for the first time out of nowhere. That wasn't jail.
I should have said community service last.
But anyway, congratulations. But don't worry, it's temporary. It's. It's gonna be so easy. So easy to fix. I promise.
[00:53:04] Speaker D: Leith, I think, starts to reach out to Lou, physically draws herself back and just says, you know, we're gonna get out of this, right? Like the world ends and we fail.
[00:53:31] Speaker A: Or.
[00:53:34] Speaker D: We get through it and you get to keep living your life, Alouette.
[00:53:45] Speaker A: I mean, I don't think. I do.
[00:53:51] Speaker D: Not.
I mean, it won't be the same.
[00:53:57] Speaker A: As it was, but I don't even think I can go home anymore.
So that's really this silly thing. Does not matter. Frankly, I just can't tell Papa without telling Papa. Anything else that is perhaps less good for him to know that I know that he probably already knows that I know.
But I didn't know that at the time of. Of saying that.
That we were eloping.
I. I didn't. I. You know, I just panicked.
As Thornus as there was there.
Yori knows. Yori found out elsewhere, you know. Wait, why do you know?
[00:54:55] Speaker D: I'm sorry, Yurto knew about this from you?
[00:54:59] Speaker A: No, no. Yori knows because my dad told his mother, because family talks and I did not expect Papa to go talking to people because Papa never talks to people. And then they suddenly decided, oh, what good news. Let me go share it.
But probably the first sign something was wrong, frankly.
[00:55:22] Speaker D: But he knew that you knew.
[00:55:24] Speaker A: Oh, yes.
[00:55:26] Speaker D: I'm going to kill him.
[00:55:28] Speaker A: Why? You can't.
He's in prison.
[00:55:33] Speaker D: We're going to unimprison him. And then I will stab him again. And this time it will take.
[00:55:39] Speaker A: Please dance.
Why?
[00:55:49] Speaker D: I heard about this. Obviously not that they were rumors from you.
I was concerned about how you would take it. And so I talked to Yuri about it, and they did not at all imply that you knew.
[00:56:15] Speaker A: Well, I did ask Yori not to tell anyone, so. I mean, they kept our promise.
I'm sorry.
[00:56:30] Speaker D: Oh, it's.
It's fine. I mean, it's.
If anything, it's flattering to my reputation and not great for years.
[00:56:44] Speaker A: Oh, well, you know, I didn't have like a long list of potential suitors that Papa would have believed.
I would wager it was a single name.
But I. You know, I did not used to get out much.
And the alternative was really Alistair. And that seemed unkind for someone I had known all of a week at that point.
And I worried that if I said yeah, it's Alistair. That's Papa and Alistair would both be. What? And that would have given it away immediately.
[00:57:29] Speaker D: Now, I understand you didn't have other options.
All right, well, if it comes up, I mean, did you want me to try and stop it or.
[00:57:47] Speaker A: I mean, maybe. I mean it, you know, I think that's up to you. I now that. Now that you know and are encountering it out in the wild, I suppose it is no longer my decision. So, you know, I. It would. It would be.
I don't have an alternative explanation beyond. Oh, hey, I found out maybe you helped my mother become a bird permanently.
So, you know, this is as good a reason as any to still be absent.
I don't know that I'm making any sense anymore.
[00:58:28] Speaker D: Yeah, I mean, betrothal is a good enough reason. Just if I won't be offended. I mean, you might not have had options at the time, but I know that you met a lot of people and. And the pronamer.
[00:58:45] Speaker A: So I hadn't yet, but also could never have. They were, you know, papa standards. No offense to them. They are lovely people. I enjoy their company quite a lot. But I am a Belair and Belairs must haves.
Moneyed. Moneyed families. Old families in the artisan. Foolish traditions.
[00:59:12] Speaker D: Yeah, foolish traditions.
[00:59:20] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:59:22] Speaker D: So we both know and we can react appropriately, Right?
[00:59:28] Speaker A: We are both aware and we can.
We can just be there and be.
Speak. Engaged.
A forgagement, if you will.
[00:59:40] Speaker D: Absolutely. And I mean, if we need to.
If you need to, you know, break up with me to distract.
Oh people. That is always an option.
[00:59:54] Speaker A: If you would prefer it to be a public breakup, then I suppose that's gonna be arranged. If it's necessary, you know, in the moment.
[01:00:08] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:00:09] Speaker D: I mean, not for the rumors, just. It seems expedient.
[01:00:14] Speaker A: Sure. Yeah. Yeah, of course it would be. It would solve the problem a lot neater than. Than I had planned.
[01:00:21] Speaker C: So.
[01:00:23] Speaker D: What did.
Did you actually think it through?
[01:00:28] Speaker A: What was your plan?
[01:00:28] Speaker D: Were you going to leave me at the altar?
[01:00:32] Speaker A: No, no, the other way around.
Because. Because then, you know, no one would.
No one would have expected anyone to show up for me anyway, so it would have made the most sense.
Your family obviously is in much better suicide descendants than mine. You know, and then we would have just been a little embarrassed, but yeah, wouldn't have been much.
You know, I thought it broke.
And then you wouldn't have to, you know, show up and. And potentially be arrested or.
Or married, which I suppose is probably equal problematic for you.
[01:01:19] Speaker D: I think Leith is just Sort of speechless.
That was a lot to process in a very short amount of time. Alouette just said a lot of very untrue things, like back to back to back to back.
And, hey, I'm sorry.
[01:01:35] Speaker A: I got my dad to accept it.
You just keep talking, and they don't know how to respond.
[01:01:48] Speaker D: I think she sort of takes a pause just for a second, and then we'll just say, I would be astoundingly foolish to leave you waiting for me at the altar, Alouette, even if it was fake.
[01:02:19] Speaker A: And that's gonna render Lou speechless because.
Because didn't they kind of a little bit already?
But clean slate. So not gonna bring that up and just say, that is very kind of you to say.
[01:02:50] Speaker C: Oh.
[01:02:50] Speaker A: Oh. If you do know, hold on. And she's gonna just rummage through her stuff and just find a random trinket and pull out a ring.
I suppose then we should. You know, it's a mascot. Right. But, like, I feel like they're gonna know who we are anyway.
Oh, yeah. So here you go.
[01:03:11] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. She will take it.
[01:03:16] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:03:17] Speaker D: And I think the only two rings she have Leith has are the gift from Nadia and her, like, family seal. So she will take off the Adrisi family seal ring and pass it over to Lou.
[01:03:34] Speaker A: You know, I said, just random trinket ring. And originally my brain was like, oh, it's just something the tarot shop. But then I remembered Lou got all her stuff back from prison, and Lou had a bunch of rings prior to going to prison. So I think it's actually the Valere Crest ring.
[01:03:52] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:03:54] Speaker A: Let's make this official.
All right, cool.
We did it.
I don't know what we did, but we did it. Okay. Let's go to a masquerade.
You look very nice.
[01:04:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
We'll leave the two of them to do whatever they're doing.
[01:04:26] Speaker A: Walking away rapidly.
Sure.
[01:04:30] Speaker D: In Lou's name.
[01:04:32] Speaker G: They're doing their best, which is not good enough for me. I want them to kiss.
[01:04:36] Speaker B: Yeah. Unfortunate.
So it is getting closer to the actual time of the masquerade.
Will you?
[01:04:50] Speaker A: What?
[01:04:50] Speaker B: Makes sense as a staging area for all of you. The midnight estate.
Yeah.
[01:04:56] Speaker C: Yeah, makes sense.
I do have stuff to give us, though.
[01:05:01] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:05:01] Speaker C: Because it's been a week, actually, so I would get my. I would actually get the group pendants back.
And then the rest of my order will be doing the thing, which. Aubrey. We still haven't actually talked about how much it costs yet, by the way. I have not paid.
[01:05:17] Speaker B: I meant I wrote a note and I meant to send it to you. It would just be 20 gold for the. For the party.
[01:05:23] Speaker C: 20 goldfish. I did not pay 20 gold last time.
[01:05:26] Speaker G: Holy.
[01:05:28] Speaker C: Oh, boy.
That's okay.
Last time it was not 20 gold. I don't remember last time, but I know that it wasn't 20 gold because I still had the. I still had the big number that I hoarded this entire time.
That's why I know it's. I mean, like, it's 20 gold now.
[01:05:47] Speaker B: It's getting one for the. One for each of the party.
[01:05:50] Speaker C: It's one for each of the party, excluding me. And then.
And then taking out the children, there would still be, like, at least six, seven more things being made.
So I would be paying in installments. Technically.
[01:06:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
Then. Then we'll say for. We'll say 10 gold for these, and then it'll be another 10 gold later on for the. The final. Final ones.
[01:06:17] Speaker A: Fair. Fair.
[01:06:17] Speaker C: See? Yeah.
Well, maybe, like, we're at the midnights and I, like, picked it up along the way and we're getting ready or something like that. But how the am I gonna get the group's attention? Do I ring a bell?
I don't know. I'll just wait for everybody to.
Lou, can I borrow a bell?
[01:06:40] Speaker A: No particular. Ring it for you.
[01:06:42] Speaker C: Okay. Can you, like, ring your biggest bell then?
[01:06:45] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
I'm gonna ring not the biggest bell because that's actually not that loud, but I'm gonna ring the loudest bell in a fun. I'll do a little song for you and everything. I'll change ring for you. I'm gonna use all the bells. There you go. You're welcome.
[01:07:01] Speaker C: I wanted their attention. So, like, as long as the group comes in.
[01:07:06] Speaker G: They certainly have my attention.
[01:07:09] Speaker D: The group is like, oh, it's just Lou practicing bells again. No need to go. Yeah, you know.
[01:07:17] Speaker C: Come here, you little shits.
I say is the technically the shortest. Minus Alistair in the room.
[01:07:24] Speaker G: Little, huh?
[01:07:25] Speaker C: Like last.
Like last time, too, because.
Because Groon was the shortest, and then it was a straight damn.
Now I'm the same people we were a few years ago.
[01:07:39] Speaker F: To be fair, I like playing tiny. Y' all have not. Well, Aubrey's seen me in person.
I'm compensating.
[01:07:49] Speaker C: I know that you're like gigantemasaurus. I know that you're like seven foot tall. You got that. You got the. The head that bangs on every single door, right frame with the rats along his back. His back.
I was trying my best not to quote that.
[01:08:08] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:08:09] Speaker F: I mean, he's A rat.
[01:08:10] Speaker B: So he's playing the rats.
[01:08:12] Speaker A: True.
[01:08:13] Speaker C: Imagine if Alistair. Yeah, I was gonna say what if Alistair was a seven foot rat.
[01:08:17] Speaker A: Dire rat.
[01:08:18] Speaker C: Dire rat in the future. It's amazing.
[01:08:22] Speaker F: Large person.
[01:08:24] Speaker B: Or speak of a medium. Wouldn't it? Because it just puts you one size up.
[01:08:30] Speaker C: You could still be like a six foot, seven foot rat. And that's still like medium sized though.
[01:08:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:08:37] Speaker C: Anyways.
Bell rings. Y' all are here. Or something like that.
All right, I got something for us.
It's not magical at all. Don't get excited.
It is superstitious though. So just plop it here.
No, I'll just like put it on a table so you can each just pick one. It's all the same thing. Like it's pendants. Probably with some sort of like string around it so you can wear it.
[01:09:09] Speaker A: Or whatever.
[01:09:12] Speaker C: Pendants made with the. With Kessie scale. So they're iridescent.
I am going to keep the others in the bag though because I still have Yuris and you're using here so you're will get it later. It's like each. You each take one and you don't think. You don't take them off.
[01:09:32] Speaker A: What is the superstition?
Well.
[01:09:39] Speaker C: It'S kind of a bunch of them conglomerated into one thing.
You just give people jewelry like this when times are weird.
Think of this as keeping all the bad vibes away and keeping all the good to yourself.
[01:10:09] Speaker A: That is very generous of you. Thank you.
[01:10:14] Speaker C: That's fine.
If it breaks, I can fix it.
Cultural. We don't throw this away, we just keep fixing it.
It's also from Kessie, so feel better, I guess.
[01:10:33] Speaker A: Yeah, I'd accept.
[01:10:35] Speaker F: Thank you.
[01:10:37] Speaker A: You're welcome.
[01:10:39] Speaker C: But seriously, don't take it off.
[01:10:42] Speaker G: I have a question. I raised my hand.
[01:10:44] Speaker C: Yes, Naro, I know we talked about.
[01:10:47] Speaker G: Not being recognizable and this is a very distinct penguin. Can I wear it but like under my dress?
[01:10:51] Speaker D: So you can't really see it very well?
[01:10:53] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:10:53] Speaker C: Yeah, that's what I assumed you would do.
[01:10:57] Speaker G: Making sure.
Yeah, it's very pretty. That's kind of sad to have to wear it under my dress.
[01:11:02] Speaker C: I mean you don't gotta like. You don't gotta keep wearing it under all the time.
But yeah. No, the idea is you just gotta keep it on you.
Doesn't work if you take it off.
[01:11:18] Speaker G: My eyes are open. I don't know why the bunny's eyes won't open.
[01:11:22] Speaker A: This looks so open. Jesus.
[01:11:24] Speaker C: Jesus crow.
[01:11:25] Speaker G: Okay, there you go.
[01:11:26] Speaker C: The way they opened when you yelled open too. I was like, jeez.
[01:11:32] Speaker B: So.
[01:11:32] Speaker G: But yeah, Niall will nod, put it on and look at it and it looks very pretty. Does it have like a texture to it or anything?
[01:11:38] Speaker C: It's a scale. Yeah, but like it's a Sea Drake scale. Right.
[01:11:43] Speaker B: So you know how you kind of feel like fish scales but like on a bigger, bigger size?
[01:11:50] Speaker G: Yeah, it's like a big scale. Yeah. Okay.
[01:11:53] Speaker A: Smooth.
[01:11:54] Speaker C: It's definitely very pretty. You know, tracks the light in a nice way. I would say that they're all in unique shapes and when I say unique, I mean mean semi spherical but not really, you know, just like how scales are supposed to be.
[01:12:09] Speaker G: Like from Drake and Josh.
[01:12:14] Speaker C: Which reference are you making here right now? Drake and Josh, invoking thy wrath, please.
[01:12:19] Speaker G: Spherical.
[01:12:21] Speaker C: Oh, spherical. No, no, no, no, not like that. Not like in Dragon Johnson. Yeah, because dragon, they, they, they were talking about specific spheres. Not that, that one.
[01:12:29] Speaker G: Okay.
[01:12:31] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm talking about like, you know, like when you, when you go look at a bunch of like stones, a bunch of pebbles. Right. But like if you draw them, it's always like in that circular shape.
But no, it's not. It's like that.
[01:12:44] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:12:45] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:12:45] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:12:46] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:12:51] Speaker B: All right. You all hit up your sort of staging area at the bend nights and get ready.
Do we want to go through fits one more time?
[01:13:04] Speaker A: I don't think we've gone through them at all yet.
[01:13:06] Speaker C: We never gone through them. Not on Streams, actually.
[01:13:09] Speaker B: All we did was in chats, but.
[01:13:11] Speaker A: Not actually on them all.
[01:13:15] Speaker B: Say it.
Why don't you all go through your fits?
[01:13:27] Speaker D: So are we trying to hide our identities or. Because Lou seemed to think that we would be recognized.
Okay.
[01:13:41] Speaker B: And it's. You want to attempt to try and hide, but you know, it is a masquerade and.
And you're going with a bunch of nosy nobles.
[01:13:54] Speaker A: At least one or two of them, if not more, are going to figure it out by the end of the night.
[01:13:59] Speaker B: Recognizable as being a very pink tiefling with feathers.
[01:14:03] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, the feathers are definitely a problem that she can't really hide anymore.
[01:14:07] Speaker C: You also have ass length, long hair, white hair.
[01:14:12] Speaker D: Well, yeah, but I have a scarf.
[01:14:16] Speaker C: You're brown. You're gonna stick out. You. You pick the two colors to slap on top of each other to be.
[01:14:21] Speaker D: Like, ah, a disguise scarf. Not like a scarf just to hide my hair. Okay, but length is. And I did not think that we would have engagement rumors out. So, you know, but Leif is dressed in all white or you know, close enough to all white.
She has sort of High white leather boots, tight white trousers, and just a beautiful, fully made out of feathers white tailcoat that resolves into thick dripping layers of red gems from forearm to fingertip.
And they sort of are arranged in swirling arcane patterns that, you know, if you squint, maybe they resolve into to some godly constellations there on her dripping, bloody hands.
Uncharacteristically, her chest and neck are fully covered also in white, though the tailcoat is sort of open in the way that her clothes usually are.
But below it she's wearing like full white suiting. And her face is half covered in a white mask with an orange beak and black detailing that runs from around the eyes to the tip of the nose.
So she coordinates quite well with Alouette.
Not intentionally, but I think that she comes down holding the masquerade scarf, like not putting it on yet because she doesn't want to waste time with it. But the plan is to sort of change her face below the outfit, but keep the costuming, make a statement.
[01:16:22] Speaker G: God, that is some hot girl shit right there. Holy fuck.
[01:16:30] Speaker C: It's only fair that Lou goes next because you guys are engaged at this ball.
[01:16:38] Speaker A: Lou is wearing a strapless corseted yellow gown. It's like a pale golden yellow.
And then she has a like a sort of like a necklace slash, almost like decorative harness sort of deal pearl.
And hanging from it is the glass prism that is linked to a gun.
And she has her healer's gloves, which are long, like high gloves anyway.
And she's done her hair in a long braid with gold threaded through it.
And she has a.
I think it's actually her mother's brooch that her dad gave her in the center of her dress.
[01:17:26] Speaker C: And.
[01:17:29] Speaker A: And also, what was I gonna say? Oh, feathers. She's got a feather problem. She's managed between the gloves and the dress to conceal all the feathers except for the chest feathers, which normally provide a little bit of boobage coverage, but unfortunately now are just sort of pushed up and out. And she's just trying to make it feel like it matches. And vibes.
And she's got a little bird themed beaked beaked mask on and like a little a pearl like drop on her forehead on attached to like a little like circlet sort of vibe.
And that's her.
[01:18:18] Speaker D: Man.
[01:18:18] Speaker G: You guys, okay. Are so nice. They're almost better than me seeing you guys naked. Who said that? That's crazy. That's crazy. That's crazy. Anyways.
[01:18:30] Speaker D: Was that Niall volunteering to go next?
[01:18:34] Speaker B: You gotta go next.
[01:18:35] Speaker G: I was hearing a sip, and I was like, buzz cut that. And I heard the silence, and you're like, no, I think you should continue.
So getting Nile to wear a nice outfit is not an easy task. But I believe Lou has done the best that she possibly can with a fabric that feels nice and also was pretty.
[01:18:52] Speaker B: Lou wasn't the one who made it.
[01:18:54] Speaker G: I know, but she had to coordinate, which is a task unto itself.
And you know how some fabrics, they're pretty. Like, they have a nice texture to it, a nice shimmery swirl, like a black fabric, with a nice, beautiful, like, purple galaxy sort of swirl to it. If you got too much, that looks really tacky, you know, so it's pretty simplistic. Like, you know, the sleek design vibe to it.
Yes. There is a dress.
There's a lot of mouths to cover, so it goes up to, like, the neck area to cover the one on the mouth. There's a mask, of course. This is a. This is a. This is a mask show. It's the mask thing.
[01:19:29] Speaker B: What's the name of Masquerade?
[01:19:31] Speaker G: Masquerade. It's in the name.
It's a masquerade. There's at least a half mask, maybe a cute little hat that kind of goes with everything. And some nice, like, gloves that go up to the elbow area in order to cover the mouths on the hands, Honestly, mostly just blacks and, like, sparkly, swirling purples that almost look like a galaxy to them.
Not too fancy, but kind of like fancy in the. In the way that people do minimalism and then say it's like $10,000.
[01:20:04] Speaker C: But.
[01:20:04] Speaker G: Also it's comfy, so now it's not complaining much anyways. Can I nominate graveling as mvp?
[01:20:13] Speaker C: Yeah, that's what we've been doing. So Grave Wing also doesn't wear nice things.
That's simply because she does not see herself ever wearing nice things, nor can she afford that.
So you did it. You got her into something nice.
Her look is. I think it's like a dark purple. Because she will not wear things that are too brightly colored. Her idea is always to keep hidden. However, I think the rest of the fit will make her rather intriguing, actually, for a bunch of nobles, which is the exact, exact opposite of what she wants, but that might be what her girlfriend wants. So, like, she had no say in this fit besides the color, possibly. And, like, the material that it's made out of.
Her fit is the style of dress. It is. I want to say it's a little bit more like this is made for a mature Lady. This is made for a lady that has debuted in society and perhaps has been on the men, the marriage market for three years.
And it's also bordering a little bit simple with the top, very poofy sleeves that then go to tighter sleeves or a glove. It's a little bit hard to tell because all the colors match.
And it's like that on purpose.
Excuse me. However, the, the, the, the cut, the, the neckline of the dress is like partially exposing shoulder, very much exposing titty. It's like, it's like almost like droopy. Like it's, it's not. It doesn't fit up top, but it does. This is that kind of vibe. Little loose, does show off some scars, but that's okay.
It's a titty that matters. She is wearing like a corset, like, specifically from like the underboob to hips type of corset that's also matching the fit in some dark color or manner. And then the rest of the skirt is like, it's got like a nice ruffly bustle and then it's plain at the bottom. But it, there's, there's very little. Like, it's not poofy. It's not too poofy at all. It's very practical. It's very like quite literally mature lady.
Perhaps married, perhaps not. Once again, three seasons on the marriage market. She's not showing off too much, but she's not as youthful as her debutante days. That's the vibe. In terms of mask. She's wearing a half mask as well. This is the most face you will ever see from Grave Wing because you can see her other eye. You can see her eye.
And the part of the mask that covers is the scar part. But the only person knows about that is Leith.
[01:23:13] Speaker B: And Lorelei.
[01:23:14] Speaker C: And Lorelei, somebody has forced makeup upon thy woman and she maybe is pouting a little bit about that. The type of half mask. By the way, please thank Katarina from the music video for bite marks. Yeah, think that one.
And then we have a secondary mask. That's the first. That, that is, that is the mask. We have a top hat. Well, it's not top hat. We have a wide brimmed hat that's super chill.
Doesn't have really any accessories going up on there, but it has a veil that covers her entire, like head around and then like it like kisses the top of her shoulders. Like, you see where I'm going with this? It's like she's like, I think I'm going to blend in no, these, they're gonna. They're gonna pay her to talk to her. Like that's the kind of vibe. Oops. The oops vibe here. Okay, so very dark mesh veil that kind of covers everything else. Grave Wing also technically has her hair braided. And there is a hair accessory that extends the braid. It's Nepalese lechidori. It is also like black slash dark purple. It's meant to really blend in with the hair. So that way they can't tell that how short her hair is or how long her hair is. But also there's something nice on the back because her back's exposed. So you can see that too. Is Lorelei is a genius. I'm me. It's me. But Lorelai is a genius. Okay? That's what we all gotta understand. Lorelei is a fucking genius and knows how to dress up her girlfriend. Not girlfriend. And Grave Wing genuinely thinks. All right, I guess this is somewhat inconspicuous because like, look at everybody else.
Bitch.
[01:25:04] Speaker A: Oops.
[01:25:06] Speaker C: Oops.
Dress also hides a lot of like all of her muscles. Actually. She just looks like a rather broad shouldered.
Just means she's got more titties. Like, you know, like. That's it. That's all.
That's it.
[01:25:21] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly.
And then I think that just leaves for the final cast member for you, Sparlock. What is Alistair wearing?
[01:25:32] Speaker F: I forgot to like crowdsource y' all with your visual imaginations, but I'm going to literally go with. With what I said originally, which is good old Nekudi Gotwa doctor who.
[01:25:49] Speaker A: So.
[01:25:51] Speaker F: For anyone that's familiar, basically the outfit from Rogue, but to be a little more specific.
So we got.
How do I order this? Like this velvet red tailcoat with a white waist or what color is that? Ivory is what they're saying. Waistcoat with brass buttons underneath with some ivory reach breeches, white tights and black slippers.
[01:26:35] Speaker B: And.
[01:26:38] Speaker F: Alistair will have like some splotches of fur dyed to kind of disguise the pattern of his mouseishness, which is a little more identifiable for the area. You know, rat folk aren't very common.
As well as a white mask with.
How do you say, kind of like the wings, like the upturned on the.
[01:27:17] Speaker B: Side.
[01:27:24] Speaker F: And yeah, I think. Did I forget anything? I'm not good at describing clothes.
[01:27:30] Speaker B: I think it covers everything.
[01:27:32] Speaker C: I found the exact fit too. Like saying the reference was like. First it was like super gray, but like, look at how dapper you look.
[01:27:40] Speaker B: Yeah, so dapper.
[01:27:42] Speaker C: Also in this picture, there's like a. There's like a girl with a yellow dress. And then I found a picture of them dancing, and I was like, that's Lua and Alice.
[01:27:50] Speaker D: I'll save a dance for Alistair.
[01:27:52] Speaker G: I almost should have said you were mirroring the rats.
[01:27:56] Speaker C: Damn it. You should have said, yeah, you taken our dream from untrue I'm sorry.
[01:28:01] Speaker A: I didn't know that was going to be a ship.
[01:28:03] Speaker G: The only straight ship I support in this economy. Okay.
[01:28:08] Speaker B: Well, moving on to your other guests that are coming with you.
Both of the midnights are wearing black in sort of a very simple but detailed black dress for Alice and kind of using, like, silver thread to detail out constellations on the fabric.
And both she and her husband are wearing sort of black raven masks for their masquerade. And Baross's is in sort of a. Sort of a very dark black suit, the same kind of silver threading of constellations.
And then you have Juniper, who says that the dress that she's wearing is from the winter formal that she attended at Ravenswood because it was the only dress she had on short notice.
And it is a kind of a powder blue, sort of your classic Victorian ball gown with sort of the bustled skirts and sort of the V neck almost, you know, where the lines are.
And her hair is sort of up in a thing, and she has a mask that has a bit of, like, clockwork worked into it, sort of. The mask itself looks like it's made up of interlocking gears. So.
[01:29:50] Speaker A: Beautiful.
[01:29:51] Speaker B: And last but not least, we have Lorelai, who is in a black dress with sort of this gold and gold trimming and lacing.
The skirts themselves kind of flow very freely.
There is a bit of a kind of sort of a cream and a little bit more gold in the skirts as well, and kind of has an asymmetric thing going on with just one sleeve where it's all laced up one side, and for a mask, is wearing this sort of silver mask that looks like a pair of bat wings that are over the sort of the top half of her face, leaving the bottom half uncovered along with her scars.
So I guess the big question is, what are the groups going into the party?
[01:30:54] Speaker G: I know one of them, and I hope it's the gay one.
[01:30:59] Speaker A: Alastair and Lou, you're right.
[01:31:01] Speaker D: I agree.
[01:31:02] Speaker E: Grave Wing and Lorelei, obviously.
[01:31:04] Speaker G: Yeah. You know, honestly, I didn't realize until it left my mouth how many gay options were in this. In this economy. I was like, gee, in our goblets.
[01:31:16] Speaker C: Oh, my God. This is the. This is like the first Time of the season. We're actually getting really close to goblets with these games, by the way. We always get one.
[01:31:24] Speaker A: We're gonna be at a party with goblets. Lou has a chalice, which is our goblet, and we're all gay. We've done it. This is the episode. We've done it.
[01:31:34] Speaker C: That's why I said that's what I did.
[01:31:38] Speaker B: Confuse everyone.
[01:31:41] Speaker C: Yep. This is the time to change the.
[01:31:43] Speaker A: Podcast name to Helmets. And it would.
[01:31:44] Speaker E: It would be great to have a Blood of Kings episode title.
[01:31:51] Speaker C: Yeah, that's so funny. I see what you do.
[01:31:54] Speaker G: This will be the perfect time to use Blood Kings.
[01:31:56] Speaker C: We gotta start. We gotta start killing all these royal stair. Yeah, it's fine.
[01:32:03] Speaker A: Fine. It's fine.
[01:32:04] Speaker C: We don't have kings, but you're close enough. You guys are rich for a reason. You guys are.
[01:32:07] Speaker A: No, I mean, I know we have nobility, but, like, it's the closest.
[01:32:11] Speaker C: Close enough.
[01:32:14] Speaker B: The closest thing to the. The king is the high priest.
[01:32:17] Speaker A: Oh, well.
[01:32:21] Speaker G: Of the gamer priest, anyways.
[01:32:25] Speaker C: But yeah, no, I.
From what I remember, Lou is able to. To secure invitations.
Some invitations for her and like a plus one, I think. And technically Yuri, I think. But I'm not sure actually. And also, it doesn't matter anymore because here he is. Kidnappity. Nap, nap, nap.
And then the midnights were like. And the rest of you can be Entourage. So I guess it really depends if we can.
We can.
[01:32:56] Speaker B: I just rewinding about going into specific groups. How many people don't realize that you're all one group?
[01:33:02] Speaker A: Yeah, we can break into three groups if we use.
[01:33:04] Speaker B: Because Lou also has invitations.
[01:33:07] Speaker C: That's what I just said. You guys not hear me?
[01:33:12] Speaker G: I did hear you.
[01:33:13] Speaker E: I think we just want to clarify what groups are.
[01:33:15] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. What the groups are.
[01:33:18] Speaker G: I think Lou and Leith would be a good group for one, because then you guys go into the party and that's extra juicy when you hypothetically break up as your distraction and then the other three, AKA the poors, get to go together as an entourage.
[01:33:32] Speaker D: Well, there's also Juni and Lorelai, so I think that the poor should break up further, like, into one more group.
[01:33:39] Speaker G: You heard. You heard a moth. Mom, you gotta break up with your girlfriend.
[01:33:44] Speaker C: I. I bet I can try. And. And Lorelai is gonna come from the. For like, break the fourth wall and punch you in the face for even suggesting that she's been chasing me for 10 years. Okay, just. Did you know that.
[01:33:57] Speaker G: Oh, don't worry. I know I've been right on her heels the whole time.
Anyways.
I'm all right with being broken up a bit more with the pores. I can go with the NPCs if you guys want.
I'm not sure how I'd get the tickets for that. But I can go with the NPCs Juni.
[01:34:18] Speaker A: And we have three clusters of tickets.
Yuri plus one. Yuri plus plus one. Lou's plus one. Lou plus. Jeez.
[01:34:30] Speaker G: What if Yuri's not here?
[01:34:32] Speaker A: Midnight's. And I don't think it's in name per se. It's just the grouping of it.
[01:34:37] Speaker D: And obviously that should be Niall because, you know.
[01:34:40] Speaker A: Yeah, Niall.
[01:34:41] Speaker D: Those rumors. Yeah, the urinal rumors.
[01:34:44] Speaker C: Also. It makes a little bit more sense for.
What do you call it, for Graveling and Lorelei to travel with the Midnights. Because we're also all matching in outfits.
[01:34:57] Speaker G: Are you guys. Are you guys suggesting that I wear.
[01:34:59] Speaker C: An entourage for a reason?
[01:35:01] Speaker G: Are you guys suggesting I use Yuri's plus one to get in under the guise that he's standing me up at a fancy party?
[01:35:06] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:35:06] Speaker A: You should pick Alistair.
[01:35:10] Speaker G: I don't know if I can use Yuri's ticket as like put in a name.
[01:35:14] Speaker A: I don't believe. Because it's a masquerade. What are they gonna do? Check IDs?
[01:35:17] Speaker G: Right?
[01:35:19] Speaker B: You're. You have tickets. You have like letters essentially that are like. This is your invitation to the masquerade. I don't think Yuri carried their letter of invitation to the masquerade to break into their parents house. So you haven't.
[01:35:32] Speaker G: It's just weird. They're not putting names on it. All your furry conventions.
[01:35:35] Speaker E: It's a masquerade.
[01:35:36] Speaker G: Masquerade.
[01:35:40] Speaker C: No, they're not. They are not.
They are the farthest thing from masquerades.
[01:35:48] Speaker G: This is like I'll. I'll take Yuri's ticket and take the rat on a date.
[01:35:55] Speaker C: That's it. Aubrey, if you gotta kill anyone else, you know who to kill.
[01:35:58] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly.
[01:36:00] Speaker G: Leave me alone.
[01:36:02] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:36:03] Speaker C: Midnight.
[01:36:03] Speaker G: Would you like to be my plus one date to the masquerade?
[01:36:08] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:36:10] Speaker G: Excellent. I did not laugh, by the way. I don't know why my avatar did.
[01:36:17] Speaker A: Then. Is Juniper going with the. The midnights then?
[01:36:23] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:36:23] Speaker A: I guess that's the only one not accounted for.
[01:36:28] Speaker B: Yeah, that can't work.
But you approach the Lark Estate and even it itself sticks out among all of the other opulent estates of Silver Court. Gravewing. You would recognize it just because of this current configuration. The estate itself looks like a flower that is opening up.
You can see all of the lights that have been strewn around the.
The estate itself, the lawn and the yard lit up with all of these magical lights. Even from a distance, you can hear the sound of people, music, you know, laughter.
This is supposed to be a time of enjoyment, but, you know, there's always darkness behind everything.
You all get up to the gates, hand over your invitations, and you aren't smuggling anything in currently. That is not like hidden via magic, right?
[01:37:34] Speaker D: I am wearing armor beneath my clothes. I'm going to take that chance wearing an armored coat.
[01:37:42] Speaker B: With the coat, you can get by. Because it is a cold night.
It's a little chilly night. So, yeah, give me a thievery roll to get this past the guards.
[01:37:56] Speaker A: Guidance.
Gonna just give you a little.
[01:37:58] Speaker D: A little tap, which is plus one. Okay. That is a 28.
[01:38:05] Speaker B: 28. Yeah, they are.
They don't find anything that they shouldn't.
So you managed to get your armor passed. And everyone else, you all get through, sort of head into the grounds. As you enter the grounds, you see sort of the. There is a trail that leads up to the estate itself. And it's kind of funneling everyone into the estate. And then from there, people can split off, they can go outside and enjoy the night air. It is a nice night. The sky is relatively clear and it's not raining, so you can enjoy it.
But you all walk up the steps into the house itself, entering the main ballroom.
And it itself is packed. There are so many people here.
Everyone give me a perception check.
[01:39:13] Speaker G: Me. When I perceive things, sometimes.
[01:39:19] Speaker D: It would be nice.
[01:39:23] Speaker C: I rolled badly, but I'm gonna take. I'm gonna keep my bad roll because Gravewing is in a not great place for her, I think. I think she's been distracted the whole time. She. You kind of had to really guide her through because she's looking at very specific spots of the lawn, of the front door at the entrance. Just hyper focused on very specific spots.
However, I did get like a 2020.
[01:39:54] Speaker B: That's pretty good. Lorelai will have her hand on the small of your back, you know, making sure, you know, leading you essentially there for emotional support and physical support if you need it.
[01:40:07] Speaker F: Alistair gets a.
Alistair gets a 16 as he's like pulling at his collar a little bit, just like, why did y' all make me wear this? This is not comfortable.
[01:40:24] Speaker D: Nat 20 for a 32.
This is Lathe's bread and butter.
[01:40:29] Speaker G: I got a 24 because I'm doing anything than making eye contact with other people. So I am perceiving the surroundings decently well.
[01:40:38] Speaker B: Yeah, Blue. What did you get?
[01:40:42] Speaker A: Oh, 28.
[01:40:44] Speaker B: 28.
Okay. I am going to start with you, Alistair. You are.
You are. Yeah. No, this color is real tight and you're kind of a little bit distracted by that. As you enter the. The ballroom, and especially being shorter than most everyone else, it's. It's kind of hard to get a good look over a lot of the people.
But Graveling, you see them as soon as you enter. You see the larks.
See Tristan's parents on the other side of the ballroom there.
I'm sure that brings back nothing but. But great memories.
[01:41:26] Speaker C: Take a very sharp breath. If my hand was being held, it's being squeezed very uncomfortably.
[01:41:34] Speaker B: Yeah, Laurel, I can take it.
Lou, you're looking around and you kind of look over to an area over near the bar.
There's a man in a red jacket and with a skull mask.
It takes you a second to recognize him because he's not wearing the distinctive hat, but he does have it with him. He's got it kind of like press up against his chest as he's like, gesticulating, telling a story while holding his hat.
Leith, you see High Priest Cygnus, he is talking with people you believe are the larks. He himself is wearing this beautiful embroidered doublet and has a mask with the constellation of the Star Mother on it.
And you can kind of see that people are keeping an eye on him.
There is a lot of rumors about him being very eligible for marriage. And so with especially a position like High Priest of the Lamplighters, all of the single people, honestly, are going to be trying to court him.
And that leaves one person, Niall.
You.
You look around and I imagine when you see this, it might give you pause.
You see a woman in armor, a very familiar woman who you haven't seen in a very, very long time.
Last time you saw her, she tried to kill you.
Your sister.
[01:43:43] Speaker G: Fuck.
[01:43:48] Speaker B: Is currently. There seems to be a contingent of the Twilight Watch here, and she is with them.
[01:43:57] Speaker G: Oh, that's not very good.
[01:44:03] Speaker B: Yeah, well, you've all arrived at the party and I think we'll get into the actual party next time.
Take a step.
[01:44:18] Speaker G: I. I'm sorry, I have to breathe. Jesus Christ, woman.
