Episode Transcript
[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam, What happened last time? Ferris.
[00:00:53] Speaker B: Oh, boy. Oh, boy. What didn't happen last time? We had a lower drop of all the lower drops, the big important things.
We look like crap, but we are unaware that we look like crap. And we still feel strong.
Kiara, as she's going by now, does seem to be pretty open about the child trafficking thing. Don't worry about that.
We're a little worried about that.
And the other really big thing is that the. There's a. There's a kingdom. Luxana. Missing a lot of princesses, AKA all of them.
But we found one of them. We don't know it yet. Only one person knows about it, and that would be the missing princess themself, which is Rowan. But we know Rowan as Korra.
There's other stuff, but that's what the episode's for.
[00:01:45] Speaker A: And we're gonna open with another special memory.
Cora. Or maybe Rowan.
Despite your very, very small size, your mother has spent no expense in giving you a grand luxury room.
Your mother being queen, or rather sovereign, because that is the actual title that they go
[00:02:22] Speaker B: by,
[00:02:24] Speaker A: but lack of better terms, Queen Adrestia, Leona. Lexoria.
But you hardly spend any time there at all when your big sister Celestina is home.
Celestina goes to Stormvale Military Academy, which is one of the most prestigious schools for talented future leaders.
And Celestina, to you, is the brightest girl in the whole world. Celestina has light brown skin and sterling white hair, which always blows in the wind like clouds. Honestly, if clouds had a texture that is her hair and you could live in her hair and she genuinely wouldn't care.
In fact, you're kind of there often. She has enough of it where she just genuinely doesn't care if that's where you want to hang out.
And you, along with your older brothers and your one other older sister, were Celestina's entire world. When she saw y'. All. She only talks about y'. All. She misses you guys. She writes you letters nearly every week.
You and your family are very close. You are a group.
And you often wish that she could just stay home with you guys forever.
But tonight specifically is a very good night. Tonight, you and your siblings get to have a really cute sleepover.
You and your siblings look nothing alike. You are small and like blue and a bunch of other colors. And half of you is like a horse.
Meanwhile, your two eldest siblings, they come in a matching boy girl set. They both look like clouds.
That is Celestina being the oldest of the two. And then you have a brother named Archibald, and they are the eldest of the boy girl pair. Then you have a secondary pair who's still older than you.
Boy girl as well as well named Godfrey and Philippa. And they both have very elven features.
And then there's you, Rowan or Rowena. Whichever name you feel like going by, your family seems to honestly commit to.
Their only rule is that you can't get mad at them if you don't tell them which name you prefer.
And then they accidentally call you by the other name because they can't read your mind.
And they're like, stop it. You're being an asshole on purpose.
It's very.
You have a. Despite your royal status, despite this heavy, heavy, militarized industry, you have a very warm home.
And now you're in Celestia's room with your siblings.
Is there anything you'd like to do? Is there anything that you do do when you're here?
[00:05:43] Speaker C: How old am I in this memory?
[00:05:46] Speaker A: Oh, gosh. So age for a sprite is very weird because you were clearly a child when you were brought to your mother, and you were old enough to know that whatever name you had before, you have forgotten now, perhaps, because now you're just Rowan or Rowena. I would say that maybe you're roughly 12.
Like, you're the sprite equivalent of 12. I would say you're going through some.
They call it phases.
Is it really a phase to you when you're 12? No. That's your fucking life.
It's kind of. That's annoying. But, like, your siblings are also going through phases. You're. I would say Celestine is maybe 16, something like that. You're. You're the youngest by virtue of the fact that perhaps you match your.
You match Godfrey and Philippa in age, but then you're so tiny that they treat you like a baby, but, like, positive. You know, you're spoiled. Yeah, you're spoiled.
Spoiled rotten.
Like, there's nobody jealous here. Like, you're. You're. About you. You are going to turn into such a person. Like. Like there's.
You couldn't do any wrong. That's the type of family you have.
[00:07:22] Speaker C: Yeah, I think that sort of. My wings have just sort of turned functional.
And so I am practicing in big sister's room, sort of flitting around the bed, up onto the canopy, hiding, and then jumping down and hiding in her hair, in Archibald's. Ha. Hair, just being a little menace and sort of giggling the whole time.
[00:07:53] Speaker A: You.
You would see that Archibald find. Get. Gets annoyed because he's a pubescent boy, but, like, not annoyed. Where he would, like, make you stop, but more like, again, you're going to do this again. You're not tired again.
Meanwhile, Celestina couldn't give a.
Yeah. Another thing to note is that in terms of, like, with I. You do remember that Philippa was your favorite sister. And an important little thing that you probably would know now and do remember now is that it's because Philippa likes horses.
Loves horses. You're probably her favorite sister, too, which sucks, because still the scene is, like, real close, you know?
But, like, Philippa likes horses. You are part horse. You're adored by her.
[00:08:59] Speaker C: Is Celestina.
[00:09:00] Speaker A: Go ahead.
[00:09:01] Speaker C: Sorry. Is Celestina the only one who is being schooled outside right now?
[00:09:09] Speaker A: So Celestina went. She. She got into Stormveil, like you would assume, because of perhaps nepotism. But no, Celestina is talented. Celestina took the practical exam and the academic exam and got in on her own merit. So she's kind of like this prodigy that you live with.
Not to say that the rest of you are.
Honestly, maybe you are. Maybe some of you need to rely on that nepotism. You're also, like, all, like, teenagers. And then under teenagers, it's. It's very difficult to. To really gauge on that. But Celestina is definitely a prodigy.
Archibald. Archibald is not of the age where he can take a practical just yet, but he is definitely very studious. He also wants to be like his big sister. He wants to get in on his own merit.
And, like. But he's like.
He's kind of wavy.
So in terms of, like, the physical tests, you're like, oh, he needs help.
You're like, he needs help.
You're. You're, like, times three smaller than him. And you're pretty sure you're faster on your feet than he is in his size. On his feet. That. And that's saying something.
You're. You're the younger pair.
They're a little bit more like the opposite, where Godfrey is, like, jacked. Well, he's not jacked yet, but he's very athletic. And then Philippa also does athletics, but, you know, she's more like, Philippa's not going to Stormvale, guys.
She doesn't want to do that military shit. That's a horse girl.
This is an equestrian. She's gonna go do horse stuff.
[00:11:04] Speaker C: Good.
[00:11:05] Speaker A: Like, that's the vibe you get.
Or that you know and remember.
[00:11:11] Speaker C: Yeah.
Yeah. Then I think that especially sn. Since Celestina is Here now, I'm being especially attentive to her, and I imagine everyone is.
[00:11:29] Speaker A: Yeah, people kind of want to monopolize the time that they have with her because she, like, thankfully you guys live rather close to the Academy. It's not a crazy far, like, commute, but it's just to get there to see her. She's getting busier and busier as she takes on these royal duties as she trains. You know what she's training for. You know very well that the Undying Dragon will arrive one day and try to kill you all and that you have to be prepared for it. But that's also, like, not your problem. That is Celestina's problem. And Celestina is rising to the occasion. Everybody adores her because she's just. She's just like mom, actually. She's just like your mom.
Just incredible. It's. It's. It's. It's almost like that celebrity fawning of just like, watching this person grow.
But, like, you are special because that's your sister and she loves you and you love her, and nobody can have that kind of bond like how you and your sister have. Besides maybe your other siblings.
But, like, also, you're pretty sure you're the favorite. So, like, you have a. Your bond's a little bit more special,
[00:12:57] Speaker C: of course.
And, I mean, she's like, the big important one, and she's going to take care of all of us, so we have to take care of her.
[00:13:04] Speaker A: Exactly. And like Celestina. Celestina's never tired. Celestina eats well. Celestina brings you snacks and buys you clothes.
She. One time she snuck you into school because she was just so. She was smart enough to do it. Smart enough to keep you hidden, and then smart enough to send you home nice and safely. You know, like, nobody knew because she's just so. She's just good at everything. And, like, honestly, it's kind of cool that your big sister can do all of that.
It's inspiring almost, I think, actually. Is it inspiring to you or is it a little overbearing? You're at that age where you're allowed to be a little rebellious.
You can be a little contrarian if you want to.
[00:13:53] Speaker C: No, I think it's still inspiring. And it helps that she dotes on me. Like, if she were trying to push me to be like her, maybe it would be different. But as it is.
[00:14:04] Speaker A: Yeah.
Another important thing to note, none of your siblings have six fingers like you.
That. That's a You special. Your mom also never had six figures.
You really are special in your family. In that case, you do know what six fingers means. And you do know that there's no way in hell you're gonna go to that fucking order.
Because that's for old people and poor people.
Like, that's their important thing. You are royalty. You get to stay here and be cute and, like, eat caviar.
Caviar must be really big to you.
[00:14:53] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:14:54] Speaker A: Damn caviar. Sorry, I'm just, like,
[00:14:58] Speaker C: one caviar the size of my head.
[00:15:00] Speaker A: Yeah. And it's. It's splendid. You know, like, it's just. You've never.
You can't remember a time where you struggled, because why would you need to struggle?
And as the night kind of goes on and you're playing with your siblings, you're having sex snacks.
One by one, they all start to feel really tired.
And it's. It's bedtime. And Cine is kind of. This is the time where she puts on the annoying big sister pants. And she will call she. When she calls it a night. It's time for everyone to go to bed. But if you wanted to, you could sleep on your fancy little bed.
Or you get to sleep in Celestina's hair, which is also on her satin pillows filled with duck feathers.
[00:15:53] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, of course I will take the opportunity to cuddle with her.
[00:15:59] Speaker A: And you do.
And of course she's going to, like, cuddle back. She knows how to handle your very tiny body because, you know, she doesn't want to squish you. She doesn't want to smother you. So. So she kind of puts one of her fingers over you and kind of lulls you to sleep just by stroking your back in a very gentle and, gosh, what is it? Precise manner.
It's the equivalent of getting Pat to sleep with a rhythm. But you're getting the finger stroke, and you find sleep very easy.
But you awaken the next day and you are in Philippa's hands.
Your sister is crying, which. Philippa cries a lot. Philippa is. Philippa is a bit of a crybaby. But this time her tears seem almost scary to you because she's, like, really feeling it. And you can tell it's different, even though you just woke up.
And she says, oh, thank goodness you're awake.
And you look around and you were in the gardens.
And the last thing you remember is not being there. You were sleeping in Celestina's room with Celestina, in Celestina's hair.
And she always smelt like a fresh. Like fresh air and a light breeze. So this. The air in the garden just matches matched her and
[00:17:41] Speaker C: Hippo. What's. What's going on?
[00:17:45] Speaker A: She makes a face like she can't tell you. Like she doesn't want to speak it into existence. Because if she says it's real, then to her it's real. And then to you it's real. And she doesn't want to scare you because she's your big sister.
But that was the day.
Your last day with Celestina. And you will never see her again.
And then the smell. The smells are changing. We went from fresh air, light breezes, back to strong musk, heavy incense, and honestly, the hint of vanilla. Someone here is wearing very strong vanilla. Cologne, perfume. Something.
The.
The.
The speaker. An Elder Amon. Will continue. I believe it is best if you know the truth.
A little over a week ago, all of you were at the Ember Dunes. That is a port city for us.
Not ports like the ones you have out at at sea, but ports. As in for our sand and airships. It is a small, bustling city, but not really a big one. You would have had to have come here on purpose or perhaps dropped off here. So you may charter another trip.
You all were headed to our capital, Langa, which is a much bigger city and a much more modernized city that you may be more familiar with. I do not know why you wish to go there. And I do not know how you came to the Ember Doomsday. What we do know is.
We have some names, we have some titles.
And we can confirm that you paid for this trip or that your. That your pilot captain paid for this trip or received a payment for this. This trip.
We can also confirm that with heavy hearts, your captain did not survive this crash.
And it was not our people who performed death rites and returned remains the.
The kind aristocracy of Lange took that into matters and handled it as well.
We can also confirm that the child you traveled with is well and was rescued by the rescue team sent by Langa. We. Our. Our. Our tr. Our. Our people. Our clan. We specifically work closely with them. We are one of few clans that. That do so. Hence why we were sent to. In. To possibly rescue you. We are not the. The only team that was sent out. As there are many caves. We have sent word of your rescue and your safety. And so you will be brought back to Longa by the aristocracy. They wish to speak to you. You to. To check in. And more importantly, to help you get home.
Wherever home is for you.
They have.
And you see like another one kind of pulls out a scroll.
Another speaker, the one with the two fish on their mask, will pull out a scroll.
Excuse me one second.
Excuse me. They pulled out. They will pull out a scroll as. And this scroll looks very fancy, as if sent in.
And they say, oh, one second. Let me just pull up the correct names.
They say, With.
With great respect and genuine hearts, we wish to welcome you back into the walls of Langa without the need nor pay for travel.
So we may express our utter embarrassment and genuine sorrows for the trauma and experience you have all been been dealt with at the disgusting, terrifying and horrendous maws of the tender flesh.
The Duke of Lange promises to see you all properly cared for on your journeys home.
And as you spend time in Langa, we hope to provide lodgings to free of charge to express how genuinely sorry we feel.
And they close that and just kind of put that scroll away and kind of continue sitting and allowing Amon to speak.
Your mom will not any. Any questions you wish. We will do our best to.
To answer, though it is a bit difficult for all of us with our limited knowledge of the rest of you.
[00:25:18] Speaker D: Curio will speak up.
So this letter is apology.
Why apology?
[00:25:31] Speaker A: It is.
It is most likely to apologize for what you have experienced.
It is our jobs to.
Is our jobs to help with travel.
Many, not all, but many of us nomads, we do help with travel to and from the capitals.
We do help for the most part with rescues because we're the only ones who can travel these sands. But some of the people choose to travel by air.
That is not our.
That is not our as in the nomads purview, but the aristocracy of the four cities in dithrum, the four courts, the seasonal courts.
So because you were headed to Langa, it is the Duke's responsibility and so the Duke is.
Taking care
[00:26:48] Speaker D: of you.
It is their fault that the ship crashed.
[00:26:55] Speaker A: No, it is.
[00:26:59] Speaker D: Curio is just like clearly not computing like from a. From a social standpoint, why
[00:27:08] Speaker A: it. It is.
And then one of the elders, who is clearly very old, goes.
They're just covering their asses.
[00:27:21] Speaker D: Ridiculous. Okay,
[00:27:25] Speaker A: cough like. Please don't say that.
Anyways, what we understand is your crash happened because perhaps one of you crashed it.
Your vehicle was up to code, as is most checks, though of course lies could slip through. I highly doubt it. An aircraft shift, I am not.
I am not the most privy to.
But I do understand that a trip to the capital, a chartered proper ship to the capital Is hard to lie about.
[00:28:22] Speaker E: So we are all assumed.
Our one of us is assumed guilty. And we're all putting under why. Why are we to believe this?
[00:28:35] Speaker A: Well, there are many potential.
Reasons why the crash could have happened.
Sometimes it has been reported that. That even high in the sky, people could hear the tender flesh's voice.
It would be possible that one of you was tempted by her.
Now, the other reason could be on purpose with the crashing. Perhaps a fight broke out.
Perhaps that was the intention.
I am not claiming that any of you did anything.
I'm simply giving you what could have happened.
You are not the first airship to crash in the desert. Malfunctions happen.
Accidents happen. The tender flesh could happen.
I just cannot confirm any truth.
Which is why I was hoping perhaps any of you have remembered why.
And he kind of makes a. You can. He's looking at the rest of you, though. The mask is on his head. The face.
[00:30:30] Speaker C: I. Sorry. I thought that the ritual was going to restore our memories.
[00:30:37] Speaker A: That is the other issue.
You see, the ritual does not do that.
The ritual simply purges you of her. Head trauma is head trauma.
And sometimes the tender flesh helps with that. You have all been.
And you can tell that he is speaking with an even more calmer tone that I'm gonna give you all.
As you're paying attention.
You have all been inside her womb for a very long time.
The damages that she have done. She has done may not be reversible.
And you must now live with this truth.
We will do what we can to make sure that she cannot harm you any further.
But it is very important to understand that once she has had you, she never truly leaves.
It is within her great power that this is done.
You are not the only ones to survive. Many of us have had encounters with her. It is possible to live a fruitful life after this.
We are simply here to make sure that it does not progress.
We cannot guarantee your memory is back. Ever. That is something that only the will of gods and your own perseverance and character can provide.
[00:32:46] Speaker B: You said that you had some names.
[00:32:52] Speaker A: Yes.
And the same fish mask guy pulls out another like piece of paper from their flowing, flowing robes and a mom will speak up. Granted, we cannot promise that you used your true names.
Some of them are simply titles.
So we are given them as stated. There is a.
There is a child. The child remains nameless. Just a child traveling with a Kiara.
Champion of grandeur.
From the Order of Splendor.
Yes.
Oh, you remember.
[00:33:49] Speaker F: Yes, I remember.
Just recently remembered who I was.
[00:33:54] Speaker A: Truly a blessing Truly a blessing.
It is an honor to host you.
It's an honor to host all of you. We just wish to give proper respects.
Make a perception check. Aubrey. And anybody else who wants to. Who wants to actively.
Perception checks. Yes.
Oh, we have a Rowan Ever Art Everard who has paid in a. A fee and purchase ticket confirmed.
We have Joe.
Just Joe.
And a Curio.
And the A Sir Blue scale.
And a.
A member of the House of Thane, which.
That is it.
And perception checks. Okay.
When Amman was giving proper, like honors to Kiara, there are some elders whose body language change. They are not happy you are here.
And I'm gonna say you all can notice these. Okay.
The Rowan Everard.
Like, nobody really knows that name. Here. This is a. This is a.
That's a name.
That's that they were a little.
The Amman was specifically like, damn, I hope I didn't butcher that. Like, that is the vibe you get. Just. Okay.
The names Joe also are a very. Like, there's nobody here named Joe. That's a foreign name for. For them, it's like, okay, Joe.
Okay.
And. And for everyone else, that was them just.
They don't really move much for the other names.
Some recognize House of Th though, where it's like you get a nod and it is a much more approving nod than Kiara got.
And that is it.
Speaker Amman will say. Oh, yes. And your. Your pilot's name was?
Was Naveed.
Naveed Singorn. We have since we have been able to deliver his remains.
By we, I mean those a part of Duke Langa's um, purview have been able to deliver his remains and respects to his family back at the Ember Dunes.
I believe the child rests in Longa. The Duke seemed to have properly taken care of the child, though the name is unknown to us. We were not given a name, and the child's name was not provided on the paperwork, but that it was just you all traveling aboard a small charter airship.
[00:37:52] Speaker E: Guy could Joe, like, like, during the night meeting, wants to, like, specifically be paying attention. Did anyone respond to Rowan?
[00:38:02] Speaker C: I was sure trying not to.
[00:38:05] Speaker E: Well, great. I rolled a 36 perception.
[00:38:08] Speaker C: Well, let me roll a Deception.
[00:38:11] Speaker A: I was gonna say this. This one. If you're trying to notice each other, that would be like, you would need to roll against, like, a deception DC or something like that. So that's fine with me. You can keep your 36 perception, though.
[00:38:25] Speaker C: Can I do rollies instead of the DC because I rolled really good.
[00:38:30] Speaker A: Okay,
[00:38:32] Speaker C: I'll
[00:38:32] Speaker A: allow it. Because you rolled.
[00:38:34] Speaker C: It's a 40.
[00:38:37] Speaker D: My God.
[00:38:38] Speaker E: That's illegal. Alyssa,
[00:38:42] Speaker A: you have been keeping your glamour up as well, correct?
[00:38:46] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:38:47] Speaker A: Okay. That's good to know.
Yeah.
Amon will.
[00:39:01] Speaker D: Oh, quick question.
[00:39:02] Speaker A: Yes?
[00:39:03] Speaker D: Did I had the. I had 29 perception? Did anybody.
Did any of these people outside of this group react to curio at all? Was there any reaction?
[00:39:19] Speaker A: No. You just look like a normal person to them.
[00:39:24] Speaker D: Nice.
[00:39:25] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:39:27] Speaker D: Sit back and shut up. Then
[00:39:29] Speaker A: I will state that.
Amon did state that he wasn't sure if you all were truthful in your names.
So that is an important thing to remember. These are names that you kind of gave. And he also is not going to be assuming anything.
It's not his place. He was given the task of rescuing you and he did his job.
[00:39:58] Speaker B: And now
[00:39:59] Speaker A: he's going to house you until a ship comes and takes you. You. You will be boarding a ship to Langa eventually.
Airship.
[00:40:09] Speaker B: I think after all the names are read out, Compy will be like Wells and them. Apart from the obvious ones. Did any of those strike a chord with anyone? I don't want to presume, but there does seem to be one that fits me.
But I wish not to claim it if it belongs to another.
[00:40:32] Speaker C: Rowena does seem like it would suit you.
[00:40:34] Speaker A: You wish.
[00:40:39] Speaker B: Oh, that wasn't the one I meant, actually. I thought it was Rowan, not Rowena.
[00:40:49] Speaker D: Can I incite that
[00:40:51] Speaker F: also? I'd like to incite that.
[00:40:53] Speaker D: Yeah, that's you done up, Alyssa.
[00:41:00] Speaker B: You
[00:41:01] Speaker A: might incite that.
[00:41:01] Speaker B: Also. Also
[00:41:03] Speaker E: perception.
[00:41:07] Speaker D: Perception, not insight. I'm so sorry. I always forget that
[00:41:11] Speaker B: we do it.
[00:41:12] Speaker A: It's. It's fine. It's fine. It's. It's all. You're. You're. You're perceiving to incite this person, you know, and.
Yeah,
[00:41:22] Speaker D: in perhaps my favorite turn of events, I have rolled a natural one plus 13. 14.
[00:41:27] Speaker A: You
[00:41:27] Speaker B: have a hero point.
[00:41:29] Speaker D: I sure do. You know what? Worse. I'm re rolling.
[00:41:34] Speaker A: I
[00:41:34] Speaker D: actually have two hero points.
[00:41:36] Speaker A: I was. I was gonna say you might actually have a third based off.
[00:41:39] Speaker B: Yeah, we should be up on our third by now.
[00:41:40] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:41:42] Speaker B: Honestly, we're probably getting close
[00:41:43] Speaker A: to
[00:41:43] Speaker B: a fourth. I
[00:41:44] Speaker D: got a 2 this time for 15.
[00:41:48] Speaker E: Just a 1 roll because it's a fortune effect.
[00:41:51] Speaker B: I
[00:41:51] Speaker G: got 36, so
[00:41:54] Speaker D: not 20 for a
[00:41:55] Speaker F: 32.
[00:41:56] Speaker E: I
[00:41:56] Speaker B: only get a 26.
I've not been rolling great.
[00:42:00] Speaker A: Okay.
So anybody who does not beat the. The DC of 31 would understand that Rowan and Rowena are relatively well known names for being the same person.
That Rowan was kind of openly gender fluid and the royal Family was like, yes, you are.
And we will recognize both names, though. When they consider a missing princess, it's usually Rowena used just because it fits with the name. The unnecessary, but my fault. Naming conventions of Flexorians, where they have a name that usually is a recycled in a family.
And so it's. They use recycled names within their families or names that kind of fit. In this case, it would be the ending in the US for the women.
Then they take a parent name as the middle name or someone important or like a. Like a guardianship type of thing as their middle name. And then they have a surname and sometimes it's multiple surnames, depending on how important surnames are to your specific family.
In the royal family's case, Rowan Everard. Technically, it's Rowan Everard Lexoria, but Rowan Everard was used and those. That's a very specific name.
Cynthia with Rowena. Now Everybody above the 31.
Yes, that is well known.
But also Cora did a. Oopsie. There is a change in Korra's body language when that gets pointed out.
Korra, what is that change? What does it look like? Do you have a tell for your lies?
[00:43:59] Speaker C: Ooh. I think that it is a slight, just like, shiver in their wings, which are tucked back, so would normally not be noticed. But if you're looking for it,
[00:44:15] Speaker A: that's what you see. I think with a nat 20, though, I might give you a like a little bit more. And that little bit more is. Yeah, that's Rowan. There you go. It's like, just in case you wanted to play something else. No.
[00:44:30] Speaker E: Well, it makes sense that they would know.
[00:44:32] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:44:33] Speaker F: I'm gonna clock it,
[00:44:34] Speaker A: but
[00:44:34] Speaker F: not say anything else for now.
[00:44:36] Speaker A: Actually, I'll. Am I.
I might give you one more thing. One second.
So. Because it wasn't that 20. No,
[00:44:45] Speaker E: I wasn't at
[00:44:46] Speaker A: 20.
[00:44:48] Speaker E: Rowena.
Rosa,
[00:44:58] Speaker A: This is not really a memory.
Like, this is not a memory on your memory list, but it is something that. That you, a highly trained warrior, would understand, would remember. You do remember.
Somebody was following you, and they followed you to this ship. You allowed it to happen.
As in, like, you noticed this happen.
All right, we're on an airship now. I cannot. Or maybe I can deal with this while we're on an airship.
That much you remember.
It is kind of then that the same. I'm going to call them nurses for the time being, just because it's the same individuals who were helping you.
They kind of come in with large pitchers and cups made out of red clay.
They kind of put.
They they too kind of sit on their knees. So they may pour and give you guys these cups.
And as they get up and leave in tandem, Amon will kind of.
He'll raise a hand if you try to drink it a little too early.
And he will kind of begin to explain the.
We are going to begin purging you.
Purging you of the tender flesh.
This is going to be unpleasant.
And so we ask that you.
We. We do ask for permission to touch you and use force if needed, because we will not force.
We will not force the unwilling to undergo a purge.
But please note that this is for your benefit.
[00:47:23] Speaker B: Permission granted.
But be aware, I tend to bite when grabbed. It's a defense mechanism, you understand.
[00:47:34] Speaker A: Mom will kind of laugh a little bit. That we do understand.
He's going submit as well. Yeah. He needs a vocal response from you all.
[00:47:52] Speaker C: I suppose if this is the only way to remember anything,
[00:47:58] Speaker G: well, it won't last memory, but at least it'll let us.
I'll look around at the emaciated condition of everyone that they don't know, but I do. At least it'll help us feel better or look better.
I kind of say under my breath. And I will say, tell him yes.
[00:48:30] Speaker E: Joe just affirms, if it must be done, then yes.
[00:48:40] Speaker A: They look to you specifically, Curio, and they will ask. They will say, we may have to restrain you. In particular, we are aware of your divine abilities, and so we wish to offer you an animus to help.
But we wish to also protect our animists from potential backlash that you are unaware of doing.
[00:49:15] Speaker D: I.
If there is an animist that is willing, I would appreciate the help.
[00:49:23] Speaker A: You have met my nieces, I believe, Summer and Satya. Satya is more than capable.
Summer herself is an oracle, though she.
She will not be participating, for her powers are.
They are great, but they may not mesh too well with yours. I believe you.
You have fire? Yes.
[00:49:52] Speaker D: Yes, it seems so.
[00:49:56] Speaker A: Yes.
Fire is a great blessing to many of our nomadic tribes. Ours in particular deals with. With water, which is a little bit funny that you are here, but we. We appreciate the blessing of fire wherever, whenever we. We may achieve it. And though our animus is not dealt with fire, she does deal with blight on a regular basis. So I.
I think she can handle you.
And she goes, yes, I can. And just kind of like walks in on cue.
[00:50:37] Speaker D: Oh, hello again.
[00:50:39] Speaker A: Hello.
How are you feeling?
[00:50:47] Speaker D: Lacking in memory, but I will be okay, I think.
[00:50:53] Speaker A: Yes, yes, my sister did want to help, actually. Are you okay with that? Are you all okay with that? She kind of, she has good control over her abilities.
But just in case. She will.
But we don't have food here so it shouldn't worry too much about it. She kind of gives you a smile.
[00:51:25] Speaker D: Yeah, I don't mind.
[00:51:29] Speaker A: Wonderful.
And she kind of waves her sister and her sister kind of comes in, gives respect to. They both give respects to their, their uncle who is happy to see see them. You can kind of see the shift in the body language. And they're what, what's going to happen is they're going to separate curio on one side. The rest of you can remain kind of clustered rather together. But it really is at this point just a. Because they're aware of fire and they are brought in an animist and a second oracle to help with any potential curse bound stuff.
The second oracle though could also end up hitting cursebound. That is their, that is their safety precautions.
The picture that you are give. You're given is a quite not picture. Sorry. The cup you're given is quite like large in width and holds what you can tell is water.
It is clear.
But you, I don't think you all need to roll to tell that this is sea water like it is salt water.
It has a smell to it that I think you would all be relatively familiar with. The smell of the sea to a degree compy 100% that is sea water from the ocean. That water.
[00:52:58] Speaker H: I don't know if the seas have different smells in this world but if they do, would I be able to tell which sea this comes from?
[00:53:07] Speaker A: Something that you would know is that technically it's all one ocean. You don't have multiple seas.
It is just the path. And who has access to the sea is different.
It's as if the ocean is in the middle and the land surround the ocean.
Because you all have gigantic mountains that sort of lock you in a circular way. You have about six mountains that do so and that's why you have six major countries because the ocean connects to all six.
It's more so it doesn't connect to like you know, all cities and stuff like that. And so Langa is the only city in Mithram that has an ocean like an ocean, a connection to the ocean.
Hence why it's starting to make a little bit sense why the. The Duke of Langa is so heavily impacted when people go missing from the tender flesh and like that. It's because your supposed cure only comes from one place.
A mom will take a deep breath once again bringing his hand his hands to his chest and then breathe out and kind of release. You kind of see everybody when he kind of takes his breath, everybody else does this little deep breathing exercise. And you are also welcome to do a little bit with them to breathe. Not me
[00:54:37] Speaker D: literally doing it while I'm sitting here.
[00:54:40] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
And then he will speak. Speak.
The process seems simple, but you will find yourself almost unable to do it.
You must drink the water. This is sea water.
You must drink it, all of it, if you can, from your cup. And if you spill it, we do have plenty more.
And if you resist, we will restrain you and we will force it down ourselves.
The tenderflesh seems to be repelled by the sea.
We have many legends of her.
And the one that seems to stick is perhaps many, many, many, many years ago.
Before this land had true, proper gods, it roamed with something else. And Mithram was nothing but ocean.
Until one day it dried up.
And now it is a different type of ocean, one of sands.
The sand brings us to God.
And so we can only hope or believe that the tender flesh is trapped here in God's prison and the sea is her weakness.
You may.
You may find what we do is cruel, but we do not mean any cruelty.
Please drink.
[00:56:38] Speaker F: Can a drink?
[00:56:40] Speaker H: I drink
[00:56:41] Speaker C: same.
[00:56:41] Speaker A: Everybody roll. A will save.
[00:56:44] Speaker D: A will save.
[00:56:45] Speaker E: We want to make
[00:56:46] Speaker H: or
[00:56:47] Speaker G: thumbs up.
[00:56:49] Speaker A: You really want to. If you want to drink, you want to to make the save.
The DC to beat right now is 36.
[00:57:01] Speaker C: Yikes.
[00:57:02] Speaker G: No
[00:57:04] Speaker H: master
[00:57:05] Speaker E: and will,
[00:57:07] Speaker A: it's going to say, will probably be restrained.
[00:57:11] Speaker F: Yeah, there's. There's absolutely no way, even with a nat 20, that I can get a 36.
[00:57:18] Speaker H: Like, I
[00:57:18] Speaker F: got a 27 happen.
[00:57:19] Speaker H: I have a master. My will saves. And I got an AT20 and I just hit the DC on the nose.
[00:57:25] Speaker E: And
[00:57:26] Speaker A: then there's a subsequent con. There's a subsent fortitude save afterwards. So sorry. On a 19. What?
[00:57:33] Speaker E: 35.
[00:57:34] Speaker A: 35. Oh, I'm so sorry.
[00:57:36] Speaker H: That's. That's rough.
[00:57:39] Speaker E: He's trying to. That's okay.
[00:57:42] Speaker D: I got a 24, so I guess I'll use my hero point
[00:57:47] Speaker G: at least. Didn't crit fail?
[00:57:54] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm gonna re roll. I have one hero point left, I think.
Still not high enough. 29.
[00:58:10] Speaker A: At least it's not a crit failed.
[00:58:11] Speaker D: Yeah,
[00:58:11] Speaker A: that's. That's what we're going for. Not a crit fail here.
With a Nat20 Compy or perhaps blue scale, you feel your hands shake.
They shake. They shake like you've Never. It's never happened before this, you were feeling fine. You could walk, you could run, you could fight if you had to. And suddenly as you try to drink this, you feel the exhaustion of two weeks out in the sun with no food and water hit you all at once. And it feels disgusting. You just bathe and you feel disgusting and sub. But something in you, something strong in you perseveres.
You're able to drink this water.
I'm going to. Because it was a nat 20. I will say you don't need to make a fortitude save for this next part. And you can go down one doom.
[00:59:23] Speaker C: Woo.
[00:59:26] Speaker A: It's nasty.
This is so deeply unpleasant. The taste. The thing that you hate the most. You taste it, but you will it down until you can't.
Perhaps you even just jump in. This bowl is big enough for you to just jump in.
Would you like to jump in?
[00:59:51] Speaker H: It's just like swimming.
[00:59:56] Speaker A: Yep, you jump in. Perhaps the swimming is helping you.
I will give you a memory, a very specific one, just so that way you have your full name.
Your name is technically Boru. Your name is Boru Blue Scale.
And Boruch is like your short, cute little pet name.
It is.
But you, you were Sir Blue Scale. That, that was. That's another thing. You were Sir Blue Scale. That's who you said you were on the. The page. And you do believe that to be true. Like perhaps that was your little title or something.
But you're down. You're. You're down to. I believe you read Doom three. Now you're at Doom two.
When you come out, they do offer you like some sort of cloth to wipe yourself.
And when you look into the water, that slime is there.
It's almost completely enveloped in the water. Like whatever came out of you is sucking it up.
And then it's dying.
You feel like you're dying. It's dying. You feel dying.
Looking at it makes you feel sad.
It's heartbreaking.
Why are they killing you?
[01:01:30] Speaker H: I like feel that. That I'm die and will try to wrap my. My will back around what we've been told just before this. And also with the my like one powering goal that has gotten me through all of this, which is I gotta get back to Toontao.
[01:01:56] Speaker A: And I think with that you can. If you were to look at yourself, if you were to look around you, you can see just how bad everyone looks.
And for the record, you all looked fine. You looked exactly like how you described yourself. You looked healthy. You looked normal.
Now you all look, just like the things you fought
[01:02:21] Speaker H: might recoil a bit into, like, the, the cup of water, as I recognize that. Oh, we are unwell.
[01:02:29] Speaker A: Yeah, you're given a break, so that way you can, like, kind of process a little bit. And they don't try to rush you because you're able to do it. The rest of y', all, You also shake, except you don't feel weak.
These are trying to kill you.
You know what a threat is? You know exactly what a threat is. This is a threat. They're trying to kill you. That's poison.
That is poison.
They want you to drink poison. This isn't hospitality. You bathed in poison. These people are monsters, and they're here to hurt you.
How do you respond? You are allowed to keep your weapons, and you were allowed to keep your magic.
And more importantly, what keeps you from accomplishing an attack? Because I don't think anybody not failed critically. Right? Nobody did a. Nobody failed critically. Nobody got beneath a 26, I believe.
[01:03:41] Speaker F: No, I think I, I got exactly a 26.
[01:03:45] Speaker A: Yeah. Meets it beats it. So did anybody get beneath a 26?
[01:03:51] Speaker C: Thankfully, no.
[01:03:56] Speaker F: I, I imagine I don't actually get that far into. I, I, I would probably start punching people and fighting with my fists just because I don't even think I have the wherewithal to pull out a weapon.
[01:04:11] Speaker A: Actually, when you think of a weapon, a weapon will appear, your back hurts, you instinctively reach for it, and you pull out an axe because you have the vengeful
[01:04:22] Speaker F: arm
[01:04:22] Speaker A: tattoo.
[01:04:23] Speaker F: Yeah, I do.
I do imagine I'm going to probably get pinned down by several people
[01:04:33] Speaker A: if that is what takes you to not attack.
Suddenly, the sands pull up, grab you and pull you down, and you are now just a. From your neck up. That is how much is up. The rest of you is held within the sand.
[01:04:50] Speaker F: Yeah, I think that's pretty much what it is. It's just I, I got to not be able to move.
[01:04:58] Speaker A: Fighting is optional. If you are 26 and above, if you are below a 26, you, you will attack, and you get to tell me what you attack with.
Above a 26 and above, you are ready to attack, and you can tell me how you're stopped. You get to choose how you stop. Maybe you stop yourself, maybe you get restrained, like how Kiara chose. So that is what's happening
[01:05:25] Speaker C: for me.
I think that my first instinct is to go invisible and then attack from there. And the second that Korra sort of flicks out of visibility, there is some of that same sand basically forming a bubble around his last Known location and you know, it drops after a minute and then he is trapped.
[01:05:55] Speaker A: That is exactly what happens.
[01:05:58] Speaker G: Tic Tac is fortunate that I have the knowledge of. I know that this won't kill me because I remember stories from people that have survived this.
So I, I tense up momentarily and like about to attack and then I remember that and I, I try again and then I like throw it away.
I'm like, I can't.
And while I don't attack, I do need someone to like force feed me.
[01:06:44] Speaker A: I think very similarly as how Kiara was basically from the neck up is, is.
Sorry. From the neck down is swallowed by sand. That's what's going to happen with you because you're rather large. There is somebody that's your height here by the way, so they, they will do the same. They're basically going to swallow you in sand and you, you, if you can't tell, you're all going to be force fed.
Or maybe accidentally waterboarded. I'm sorry.
[01:07:18] Speaker E: It's
[01:07:18] Speaker F: probably not the first time for me.
[01:07:21] Speaker E: Joe was on the verge. So I think that they have basically like, what if they're like the assassin's play from Assassin's Creed, except it's like, has a muzzle for a gun and so they instinctively like flick their wrist and then like it like it is like on their knuckles.
But also they realize that they're built different and they could handle poison, if this is poison, but it will also kill the thing.
That sucks. But they can handle it.
But they are gonna be basically like asking for help.
[01:08:14] Speaker A: Okay, you ask for help and they sand will come. It will dis. It will not really disarm you. It's more like they wrap around your hand so you can't use your weapon. And they will try to. They're not gonna shove you into, they're not gonna swallow you up like they did with Tic Tac and Kiara, but they will kind of like restrain your arms back and kind of bring you to your knees. So they can help do this because you, you seem to them a little bit more in control for now. It's really hard because your brain, you are trying to tell yourself one thing, but everything else that your instinct, your brain, your gut, it's all telling you that it's wrong.
Even though you were just told something like you like this is. It's like if, if a switch could flip.
I, I will say though, there's something very familiar about you not being in control of your body, but perfectly okay. Aware that you do recognize.
I Think that was ev. That's everybody, right so far.
[01:09:33] Speaker D: I didn't go.
[01:09:33] Speaker A: Oh, yes, you didn't go. Thank you. I was like. I was like, there's some big ones.
[01:09:37] Speaker D: Yeah.
I think I probably set my weapons off to the side once I kind of realized what was going on. So not directly within reach.
And as I'm fighting this thought in my head that it's poison and that I need to get it away from me, I think my claws come out. But I have my coin of comfort in my hand and I kind of use that to steady myself.
And I'll look to the, to the animist and the other oracle and say, you are going to have to hold me down.
[01:10:24] Speaker A: They nod. And very similarly, the sands will come and they will try to restrain you as nice as they.
As best as they can.
[01:10:35] Speaker D: I do my best not to resist.
[01:10:39] Speaker A: And what happens next is you are all going to be force fed. I'm not going to describe in heavy detail because this is a type of torture, technically.
I. What I will describe though, is for Curio, specifically for you, the animus who is Satya, she's going to hold your head in place, all the while saying, you're going to be fine, you're okay, you're okay, it's okay, it's okay, it's okay. Almost like this is for you and for her. The reason why is because when the force feeding happens, you will reach that curse bound one. And so you are going to turn your sand into glass, essentially. You're that hot.
However, with the two sisters there, they're essentially able to help take on this damage as one is able to kind of feed you the water before it sizzles out and the other is simply absorbing the damage that is happening. It is a very strenuous process because you are reaching curse bound one makes the other sister reach cursebound one. And what that looks like is everything around her starts to die.
It starts to shrivel up, it starts to grow old.
Fabric loses color before gaining holes and then turning into nothing.
Food and vegetation wither away and rotten before turning into sand.
Everything around her begins to die. Even the clothes that she is wearing start to simply fall off, partially because fire and other, partially because of the blight that is simply emanating from her.
You can all lose one Doom level. Compy is the only one who's had two.
And for the next few days, this is what's going to happen.
Thankfully, most of you only need two days of this torture.
Compy needs three.
It is deeply unpleasant they don't force you to do it day after day. They let you have a bit of a break so you can fully process that you're willing to kill a large group of people to get away from this just a bowl of water, only for you to be brought back essentially into that feeling. They're killing you. You know, they're not killing you. It is a bit of a mind game. And a week will go by.
During that week, you may.
You're taken care of, you're fed. Food tastes awful.
Very similar to VTM where it's ash and dust in your mouth. It's that food is awful, drink is awful. Until you get that doom out of you. Something comes out of you, by the way, out of your body kind of secreting as if you're secreting slime. And then it dies. And eventually they stop when there's nothing left coming out of you so you can properly eat simple foods.
A week will go by of this happening because thankfully, you guys are not so heavily into the doom that you need longer than a week.
You can all achieve doom zero, unless you really want to keep that one point.
Is there anything you'd like to accomplish in this week? Weak when you can. You do feel weak. And they will take care of. They will essentially, you are provided for with this hospital hospitality. They're not going to restrain you from anything, though, you know, they might have you avoid the children for everyone's safety at that point. But you're not treated too poorly, Kiara. You might be treated a little bit poorly.
You're allowed to do some things.
[01:15:10] Speaker E: I actually, during the rest of this week, I definitely want to take any, like, time of solitude to pull that arm back out and study it more to see what else I'm missing.
[01:15:26] Speaker A: Do you want to read the full arm? Because it is a week.
[01:15:30] Speaker E: As long as I could do it without anyone interrupting me
[01:15:34] Speaker A: or
[01:15:35] Speaker E: asking questions.
[01:15:36] Speaker A: Okay. I would say then just make a generalized stealth check and then we'll go based off of that.
Is.
Is there anything else? Like, do people want to try and fish for some memories? Because we can do that. Have you roll for it and then I can tell you what happens.
[01:15:54] Speaker H: I.
It doesn't have to be role played, but I would like to, like, talk to probably Pompadon, but like, anybody who might have information. Like, I'll like, ask people, do you know about this? Do you know about this specifically? I.
Stories about tuntao, if they have them or if they know someone who might have one.
And I'm happy to. To memory Fish in the process. I still have a hero point. I will spend it.
[01:16:20] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, you can. If you want to give me a hero point for the memory in general, I'll do that. And then you can also roll to see what other extra information perhaps you can gather. And that could be.
Honestly, I would allow whatever skill check you want because it's. It's how you're gathering information. Right?
[01:16:39] Speaker H: Can I do stealth?
[01:16:41] Speaker A: Yeah, of course.
[01:16:42] Speaker H: Hell yeah.
That's like a 37. That's a 37.
[01:16:50] Speaker A: 37. Okay, I'm just gonna stick on you for a little bit then. Then copy and minus the. The memory. I'm gonna do a little memory roll again, by the way. So if you're going to spend a hero point for a memory, please write that in chats. Just so that way I have a little log.
[01:17:09] Speaker H: Do you want it this chat or the discord chat?
[01:17:13] Speaker A: This chat. This chat. Zoom chat maybe.
So with a 37 on your Stealth, you're able to get quite a few stories about Chantel specifically because Chantao is a famously infamous pirate lord.
Pirate Lord is like a madeup title that people now take seriously because technically you're gonna have one point in 10 minutes. So you can have one point back, Mandy, and spend it on the. The memory. I will give that to you just because I'm unfortunately going long again. I'm sorry, y', all, what was the thing? She is a. So Pirate Lord is like a made up title that people have only recently been taking very seriously.
And it is simply because there is one sea and there are a lot of pirates.
Where there is a will, crime will find a way. And sometimes it's not even crime. It's the fact that there's too many people and not enough land to live on.
And so people live in the ocean. The ocean is dangerous. The ocean is vast. The ocean is full of pirates.
And it really was lawless until out of nowhere this girl, this know nothing girl from a know nothing background came out and started killing people.
Big people, important people.
She rules with fear. She rules with adoration. She rules spin specifically because turns out the pirates want a king.
Or well, like king gender fluid, you know, like it's. It's. They want someone to do the crazy law so that they can have some claim over the ocean.
Granted, there are people who live in the ocean like normally, and then there's people who. Who live like they are water breathing creatures.
Pirates simply, at the end of the day are people who want a home and they want a job and they want A profession and pirating is a profession. Now Chantao though her me, some people don't have good stories about her because she doesn't have a lot of great stories. And then some people worship her like she's a myth.
What you are able to get gather though for sure is that she is a former sex worker turned. A pirate turned pirate lord and that her fleet is crazy.
And they have recently petitioned to become a legitimate community with legitimate political stakes in specific. Specifically Dulcamar, because Dulcamar is an extremely waterlogged nation. They are kind of the nation that deals with the pirates the most.
So if they can get an in with one country, they can potentially get an in with the other countries.
Sort of like how sometimes micronations try to do this. It's like that. It's very similar like that. They don't want to be a nation. They just want to be a recognized group of people.
They unionized.
[01:20:47] Speaker H: Yeah, yeah,
[01:20:48] Speaker A: they forcibly unionized.
That's. That's what you. That's what you get from her.
But you people also can't really tell what she is like. That's the other thing. You get a lot of descriptions.
It just. It doesn't help that her. Because her entire life is the career kind of.
So that's what it is. These are also desert faring folk. So not a lot of great crazy information. I will still get.
Yeah, you will still get your. Your memory though, of course.
And now Dusty, because you are rolling to read the arm, correct?
[01:21:29] Speaker E: Yes.
[01:21:30] Speaker A: What did you get on your stealth roll?
[01:21:34] Speaker E: 12, 15, which is 27. Just double checking what the stealth is 15. So 27.
[01:21:52] Speaker A: Okay, I'm going to give you two, three things then and say that the third thing specifically reading the back of the arm has been very difficult because people just always keep popping in right when you're trying to turn and read the back of the arm.
So it's. It's just been very difficult to read that. But however, you have been able to read the palm and the front of the arm.
So really the palm isn't much to read. It is.
I'm going to say.
I'm gonna say no, you don't notice unless you're actively trying to look at. Unless you actively want to spot Joe reading an arm that you have to make a roll against. That is what I would say because Joe is actively going out of their way to not be seen reading this.
[01:22:45] Speaker G: I mean, but we have reason to believe that one of our party members like was responsible for the crash.
[01:23:00] Speaker A: You do so if you're looking, if you're trying to get into this business, I think that is still a role.
[01:23:06] Speaker G: Yeah, I think I would be keeping up. And I'll happily do a role.
[01:23:13] Speaker E: I'll cheat you
[01:23:16] Speaker A: while you do your roll. I'm just gonna describe to Joe what is going on with you. No,
[01:23:22] Speaker G: I.
[01:23:22] Speaker A: Never mind. That's a 24. Nah, you're not gonna catch these people. I think everybody's DCs might beat the 24.
[01:23:32] Speaker G: That's.
That's unfortunate.
[01:23:40] Speaker H: A strange diagram is drawn in the palm of the hand.
The ink spirals out into the shape of a flower.
Lines connecting symmetrically with six distinct petals.
The tip of each petal just out into a four pointed star.
Each intersecting line seems to outline the dead center of the palm which is in the shape of a four pointed diamond.
Inside that space reads key in here.
[01:24:09] Speaker A: I will. I will give you this description as well. By the way.
On the front, vertically on the front of the hand seems to be like bullet point notes. Like somebody was writing as fast as they could.
Notes of something they were potentially witnessing and they chose to use their arm.
You get again, this is written hastily. These are notes. Okay.
[01:24:40] Speaker H: Project Second Soul equals Gothel Arcadium Anastasia Arcadium involvement equals question mark.
Seven bodies, three failures, three missing, one satisfaction still here.
New Ascension could be used as soldiers, weapons, spies, etc.
Bodies made in the likeness of Luxonian commissioned expensive Luxonian princess.
The chaos stand in the way of
[01:25:16] Speaker D: progress.
Chao Industries.
Why isn't Shaft big
[01:25:21] Speaker A: monies.
I will. I will send you these. Of course.
I'll send you a screenshot so that way it makes a little bit more sense.
[01:25:32] Speaker E: This I. I'm. My brain is like front of the arm, palm down are back of hand down.
[01:25:43] Speaker A: Okay. So front of the arm, palm. I believe it's palm down. Right. Okay. So it's like that.
Like that. And it's written. Yeah, and it's written like going down. And then there is another one at the back of the arm, but it's horizontally. And that is the only part you have been unable to read.
[01:26:06] Speaker E: Okay.
[01:26:06] Speaker A: Yeah. Because it's like you got us.
It's like it's just taking time. Whereas this one little bit easier to sneak because you could just pull it out of the bag of holding body block and just kind of pull it up and keep reading. Whereas this one, it's like to the side. There's not a great way to hide it.
That is what you got besides memories. Does anybody want to do anything else?
[01:26:33] Speaker C: This Might end up just being tied to my memory. But I would love to try and interrogate my little rat familiar. See if it can tell me anything about what I'm doing here and why.
[01:26:47] Speaker A: Can your rat familiar talk?
[01:26:49] Speaker C: I believe you can take a trait to give it talking.
[01:26:54] Speaker A: Yes, you can.
Okay, dope, dope, dope is your rat familiar. You don't need to roll against your rat familiar. But does your rat familiar have a name? Or you've been calling him like random rat or something like that this whole time?
[01:27:08] Speaker C: Oh, I've been ignoring it entirely.
It turned into a tattoo and I have not taken it out since.
I would like to forget that whole encounter with the three ghosts of Christmas past.
[01:27:22] Speaker A: Yep, absolutely. That's. That's literally what happened.
But like in a reverse order. One would say.
So your rat. You're gonna summon your rat and ask them questions. What exactly are you asking your rat?
[01:27:42] Speaker C: If it knows why I'm here and why the Maverick wasn't able to help me and I had to turn elsewhere for help.
[01:27:53] Speaker A: The rat will look at you and kind of go, you.
You got a big britches on if you think you can just talk to me like that. I mean, we might be partners right now, but we don't feel like partners.
[01:28:14] Speaker C: And what do we feel like?
[01:28:17] Speaker A: Feel like I'm your babysitter.
[01:28:22] Speaker C: Quite a well fed babysitter. Sitter.
[01:28:26] Speaker A: I'm a familiar. You eat. I.
I don't need to eat.
I'm just a manifestation of your magic.
And I'm pretty good magic. Unlike that foul you were using. I still see it.
[01:28:44] Speaker C: And why is it that I had to turn to that foul. Thank you.
If you're such good magic.
[01:28:53] Speaker A: Seems you don't remember. You was there before.
That was before us.
I don't know the details. You're not one for sharing.
But I do know that that man was there before us.
We came after.
When you were real.
When you were really free.
[01:29:25] Speaker C: Well, I'd like to be really free again, but it's a bit difficult.
But I can't remember anything.
[01:29:33] Speaker A: It's.
It's difficult for you. It's difficult for me. I. I'm. I'm just an extra extension of you. I don't remember everything either. I. I do.
I am able to retain some a bit more. I know.
I really missed Tova.
[01:29:53] Speaker C: Oh, no.
I think Cora flinches a little bit.
[01:30:01] Speaker A: Look, you.
You did some things. But if you're worried about the state of Tova. She's alive.
Last time we left her, but she. You know, you you hurt her in the emotional way.
You kind of broke up, which sucks, because I really liked her.
She really liked us.
I think you were happier with the Bloom keepers and not this silly fucking mission you're on now.
[01:30:37] Speaker C: Do you know what the mission is?
[01:30:39] Speaker A: I know that you're on a mission is. That's why I called it silly. I can't remember all the details. I just know that you were real determined and, you know, you were gonna.
You know, that woman, that big human woman, I know she were following her.
I know she has something to do with it, but I don't.
You gotta. Can. Can't you try thinking? Can't you try really remembering? I can help. I.
I don't know how I can help, but I'll do my best.
[01:31:14] Speaker C: Yeah, let's. Let's. Let's try thinking.
[01:31:17] Speaker A: And you were gonna spend a memory, right?
[01:31:22] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:31:23] Speaker A: All right, we'll just use that as that. Then do another. Another D6.
[01:31:28] Speaker C: That is a 5. And I think that she picks. Well, actually, I was gonna say she picks up this rat, but is it a rat that is, like, sized to me or is it a rat size to regular rat size?
[01:31:42] Speaker A: So I think you get to decide that.
I mean, like, you know, like, you could make him rat size, but it's also, like, you could make him rat size to you. You know, if you wanted to make something even smaller than you. I think that's possible because this is your magic, and a familiar can change the way you want them to change. Unless you chose those specific familiars. And,
[01:32:05] Speaker C: yeah, I did not. So I think that he had been, like, regular rat sized. But as we make this decision to sort of try and think together, he shrinks his down small enough for me to pick up in my hands and hold against, like, my forehead against his forehead. Like we're thinking really hard together.
[01:32:32] Speaker A: And ironically, you rolled exactly what you needed.
It's uncomfortable because you don't like doing uncomfortable things.
I mean, nobody likes doing uncomfortable things, but you really don't.
[01:32:49] Speaker C: I'm a princess. I shouldn't have to.
[01:32:51] Speaker A: Exactly. I think remembering that you were you. You were a princess is the important part here.
However, you do remember at some point in time, you remember Livia again.
And this feels impossible until you know it's not.
But you went and somehow magically knocked her up.
You have a daughter named Hyacinth, and Hyacinth went missing.
That's why you're here.
[01:33:39] Speaker C: Aubrey. You kidnapped my child. How dare you.
[01:33:45] Speaker A: That's why we don't trust with blue Hair and pronouns.
You choose blue. I gotta do it. Okay.
That's what you remember. And also that's what your rap familiar members are. Goes a no.
How'd you even do that?
Have a little one.
[01:34:12] Speaker C: Patrick, you're my magic. Shouldn't you know how it happened?
[01:34:17] Speaker A: I'm. Yeah, I'm your magic. But you're also magic. You're not sprites don't have kids.
What you do,
[01:34:27] Speaker C: sprite.
[01:34:30] Speaker A: But what you do, what you made promises to.
[01:34:37] Speaker C: I think that there are quite a few promises that I've made and maybe broken a bit.
[01:34:49] Speaker A: Oh, damn. Well.
Oh, I remembered one of the things thing in your bags you got some.
Some like potions.
Those potions can make you big because like Tova is like a whole human and like Livia is at least one more size class different from you. I know you use m. So you could. You used to make potions and this potion, I know like, like changes your sizes stuff. So that's why you have big women.
I mean, that's your type, you know. That's not my type, but that's your type.
Who am I to judge? I ain't gonna judge.
We're cool.
[01:35:38] Speaker C: Yeah.
Thank you for helping me remember.
[01:35:43] Speaker A: Yeah, you're welcome. Just don't keep me trapped. And a tattoo all the time. I like to stretch my paws when I have paws.
And I was. I was a goopy shadow for a little while. That does something to my body image, you know.
[01:36:01] Speaker C: Yeah. Do I still look like a goopy shadow? If we're in the process of undoing everything?
[01:36:09] Speaker A: Do you still look like a goop? I. I mean, I think you. You. I think you're based off of getting. As soon as you're able to get everything out of you, you guys are able to eat again and actually taste food.
You're able to like, you can stomach it. So because you can, it just depends on how fast you get that out of you and like how well you take into basically resting you a restful person. So I think you might start looking better and better a lot faster than everybody else.
[01:36:41] Speaker C: Yeah,
[01:36:43] Speaker A: but it's, it's, it's very much like, you know, you just. This is. They're not forcing you to do hard labor or anything like that.
You basically get. Once that shit is all out of you, you get to relax normally and people bring you food. You can take walks. You can like talk to people and stuff. You're not being held prisoner. The only time you were ever in any form of prison is when they had to force feed You.
Otherwise, it's very. It's very gentle.
[01:37:14] Speaker C: Yeah. I think that for the rest of the week, we do see Rowan walking around with a non tattoo rat of varying sizes. Maybe sometimes riding on its back.
[01:37:28] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:37:30] Speaker C: Small.
[01:37:31] Speaker A: Yeah. I was gonna say you definitely could just be riding a regular sized rat to everybody else as well. Like, it's very normal. Your. Your rat warms up to you quite fast, and that's possibly because it is an extension of you. So as soon as you accept them more, they are much more warmer to you.
Other fun things about your rat, they actually don't care much for cheese.
It's the berries that's got the juice.
They like berries. They like seeds.
They also don't have to eat all the time. They don't have to eat at that point. That's them be. That's them adopting your picky preference.
They also do appreciate ear scritches, but you got to ask for first. Like, if you come in and, like, try to touch them, they'll be like, what the.
What do I look like? Think you'd be touching people and they will try to fight you.
You ask permission.
It's a good rat.
It's a very cuddly rat.
This is. This is. This is a. I'm not sure where this rat got its accent, stuff like that from. I was just trying to be tough, so that's
[01:38:53] Speaker C: amazing.
[01:38:54] Speaker A: Now, like, a genuine question. Are we okay to keep doing memories, or should I just end here and then start with memories next episode? How would we feel?
[01:39:05] Speaker H: I'd love if we could do them next time.
[01:39:09] Speaker G: Yeah, I'm really exhausted, and I think
[01:39:12] Speaker A: that
[01:39:13] Speaker G: Brooklyn. Brooklyn rat is the perfect place to stop.
[01:39:16] Speaker A: I also think the Brooklyn rat was the perfect place to start. I'm sorry.
[01:39:20] Speaker D: Awesome.
[01:39:22] Speaker A: I don't think anybody needs to take us out. I think we can just end with the Brooklyn rap being like, yeah, you can scratch me. You can scratch me, but if you ask first, that's where it ends.
All right. Sorry for going over again, guys. The. It would appear that getting lore is worse than getting combat for me. I didn't realize that. I think I wrote too much. My bad.
[01:39:50] Speaker H: No worries.
[01:39:53] Speaker A: I owe everybody a memory
[01:39:55] Speaker D: me over here. Like Ken.
Sa.
