[00:00:11] Speaker A: My falling, falling to destination.
[00:00:18] Speaker B: Constant condemnation.
[00:00:23] Speaker A: Mental infestation.
Enchanted by your gracious.
Welcome back to Goblets and Gays and our finale of Hunted in the Dark. I'm Aubrey Yurgian. I'll tell some players to introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get rolling into things.
[00:01:11] Speaker C: Hello, I am Andrew.
I use key, him, pronouns. I will be playing. Riley Willows, the witch who uses she, they, pronouns.
[00:01:23] Speaker D: Hi there. I'm Beau. Any and all pronouns. And today I'll be playing Verity, low. She, her pronouns.
[00:01:31] Speaker E: Hi, I am, Clint, and tonight I will be. Or today shoot And I. Hi, I'm Clint. And I will be playing Put them.
[00:01:42] Speaker B: Hi, my name is Zo. They, them pronouns. And I will be playing. Melody, Grace, she, her pronouns.
[00:01:49] Speaker A: So things have come to a head, so to speak.
The crew has dealt with one of the slashers.
Or has another one has appeared as well? Is it still without many answers but facing down the quarterback wearing this mask, holding a knife.
So as Tommy stalks into the room, who would you say is closest to the door?
Who was leading the charge to run away?
[00:02:37] Speaker E: I think Putnam was closer because Putnam just changed their mind and said, all right, we're out of here.
[00:02:49] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:02:49] Speaker A: No.
So, Putnam, you're the one that is going to have the knife swung at you first. You can either. I'll give you an option. You can either lash out physically and attack in turn with one of the knives you have, or you can attempt to keep your cool and dodge the attack.
[00:03:09] Speaker E: I'm going to attempt to lash out to see if I can at least stop Tommy a little bit or I'll mark that experience.
Cool.
[00:03:24] Speaker A: Unfortunately, like, you were still not completely used to how Queen's body works and how like Queen never struck me as a person with an incredible amount of upper body strength.
[00:03:39] Speaker E: Definitely not an athlete. Yeah, yeah.
[00:03:42] Speaker A: So, yeah, you're unfortunately unable to get that hit in, but you feel the knife hit you in the side, like right near your left side and sort of bury itself there and you will take a harm.
[00:04:08] Speaker E: Did I. I still have my one from the transforming mishap. Correct.
[00:04:13] Speaker A: Okay, so Melody, Verity, Riley, you all see this as this imposing over six foot quarterback just stabbed. Not Quinn.
[00:04:28] Speaker D: Incense is maybe, maybe too nice of a word about it.
Becomes pretty angry at this whole thing and is going to rush towards Tommy and just kind of like yell out like, stop hurting my friends and is gonna try to stab him.
[00:04:51] Speaker A: Lash out physically.
[00:04:54] Speaker D: That's seven. I don't think that's enough. Right, seven.
[00:04:58] Speaker A: You will harm them.
[00:04:59] Speaker D: But
[00:05:02] Speaker A: seven to nine they learn something
[00:05:03] Speaker D: about your true nature.
[00:05:04] Speaker A: Gain a string on you.
I decide how bad the harm turns out or you become your target self.
[00:05:12] Speaker D: I think for now I'll just say you get to choose how bad the harm turns out.
[00:05:19] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:05:20] Speaker A: For this it will be to harm. As he just backhands you across the face.
You're pretty sure your mouth is full of blood or you're not blood. And you may lose a tooth from this.
[00:05:41] Speaker D: Did I at least hit him?
[00:05:44] Speaker A: You will get in a hit, yes. You will have dealt one harm to him.
[00:05:50] Speaker D: That's good.
[00:05:51] Speaker A: Then as you sort of slice along his arm, as you kind of go careening into one of the counters, like to steady yourself.
[00:06:00] Speaker E: Can I spend a fate to make that the how bad that harm is to Tommy a little worse with the blood and fury.
Spend fate to have the final say in how bad it turns out when someone takes harm.
[00:06:16] Speaker D: Sure. Yeah.
[00:06:16] Speaker A: You could also do the same thing to reduce Verity's harm.
[00:06:20] Speaker E: That's true. Ooh, I would love to reduce Verity's harm.
[00:06:25] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:06:25] Speaker A: You can spend that fate reduce Verity's harm. You are there to essentially steady her so she doesn't careen and slam into the counter.
Sweet severity. You will only take one harm.
Melody and Riley. What are you doing?
[00:06:44] Speaker B: I look at. I look at Riley with our two knives together.
Should we door?
[00:07:00] Speaker C: Yeah, I. I think the best plan is move that direction. That seems to be occupied. Fighting Tommy.
Tommy fighting them.
But how do we save them Them?
[00:07:16] Speaker D: I guess.
[00:07:18] Speaker B: Do we? No. Do you got any spell?
[00:07:29] Speaker C: Yeah. So Riley is going to start chanting in tongues again and I think I'm gonna go.
I'm gonna.
[00:07:44] Speaker D: All right.
[00:07:45] Speaker C: I'm gonna use my hex to do ring of lies on Tommy.
I'm gonna ask him where did you get the mask?
And hope he answers.
Cause I suppose he doesn't have to.
[00:08:07] Speaker A: He would tell you that he found it in the hallway.
[00:08:16] Speaker C: Excellent.
That helps us none.
[00:08:23] Speaker B: Well, that.
[00:08:26] Speaker E: That's a flaw.
[00:08:29] Speaker A: This is a long.
[00:08:30] Speaker C: A longer lasting thing. So we can ask. Ask questions. Oh, my God.
[00:08:35] Speaker B: Yeah, that's.
[00:08:35] Speaker C: Everyone can ask questions. And if the person ever attempts to lie, then the effect works. So if you want to barrage him questions.
[00:08:46] Speaker E: Why are you doing this?
[00:08:49] Speaker C: That's legit.
[00:08:51] Speaker A: Does he have to.
[00:08:52] Speaker D: It was.
[00:08:53] Speaker A: Is it just like he can answer? If he has to lie, he has to. Do I have a role for that or what?
[00:09:01] Speaker C: So if the person attempts to lie, they hear a piercing ringing noise.
Big lies will make their knees buckle or disorient them. And then severe lies can cause brain damage.
[00:09:17] Speaker A: But, yeah. Now, as you call up the question, why are you doing this? She just says, I'm just doing what I'm told.
Melody,
[00:09:27] Speaker B: question. My bestie is injured.
I'm gonna do what I do best and then go over to make sure that Verity is okay.
[00:09:38] Speaker A: Are you to try to get Verity out.
[00:09:39] Speaker D: Out of there?
[00:09:40] Speaker B: Of course I'm gonna try to get Verde out of here.
[00:09:43] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:09:43] Speaker A: Why don't you roll me a runaway with volatile?
[00:09:46] Speaker B: Let's go.
[00:09:47] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:09:48] Speaker B: Runaway is plus. Okay. Minus one. I got a seven.
It could have been worse.
[00:09:54] Speaker A: You can choose one. You run into something worse, you cause a big scene, or you leave something behind there.
[00:10:02] Speaker B: I'm gonna leave something behind, and I'm gonna do it very intentionally.
I'm gonna pick up Verde to get her out of, like, the. The front lines and maybe start moving towards the back door. But as I am, I'm gonna put my. Like, I'm gonna take my phone out of my pocket and put it in Putnam's hand and say, call someone.
Or I can leave it. I don't have to actively do it, but I can leave my phone.
[00:10:32] Speaker A: Say, you could hand it to put.
Yeah, no, that counts as leaving something behind.
So Putnam, you're now holding the phone, and Verity, you, of course, consent to being dragged away.
[00:10:50] Speaker B: Like, I'm trying.
You don't have to come with me.
[00:10:53] Speaker D: Freddie does not want to go, but if Melody's pulling her along, she'll probably go along with Melody.
[00:11:04] Speaker B: She's at least wants to get you away from. You can tell that she at least wants to get you away from the killer.
She just.
Please, we don't have to go far.
[00:11:17] Speaker A: Essentially pulling Verity into the. The next room, which is like this formal dining room.
[00:11:24] Speaker E: I'm gonna open the phone.
[00:11:28] Speaker A: The phone is dead.
[00:11:31] Speaker E: Melody, how long has your phone been dead?
[00:11:35] Speaker B: What?
[00:11:37] Speaker E: How long has your phone been dead?
[00:11:41] Speaker B: It's not.
[00:11:42] Speaker E: I'm gonna take it, and I'm just gonna try to throw it at Tommy and run.
[00:11:47] Speaker A: Yeah, Give me a.
[00:11:48] Speaker D: Give me a lash out.
[00:11:48] Speaker A: Physically,
[00:11:51] Speaker E: I'm historically great at those.
Ooh, an 11. Minus one. A 10.
[00:11:59] Speaker A: A 10.
So, yeah, you. You sort of.
[00:12:02] Speaker D: You.
[00:12:02] Speaker A: You get the phone and you just toss it, and it gets him, like, right in the eye. So he's unfortunately just, like, sort of staggering back for a moment as you sort of do that and attempt to run away.
[00:12:19] Speaker E: Romanian, Can I use the fate that I just got to spend it so that it's worse?
[00:12:27] Speaker A: Yes, you can.
It's Essentially, as you get it probably perfectly. And so he's like, clutching at the eye and kind of like staggering.
[00:12:37] Speaker E: 8.
[00:12:38] Speaker C: 8.
[00:12:40] Speaker A: You get away, but you choose one, you run into something worse. Cause a big scene. Leave something behind.
[00:12:47] Speaker E: I think.
I mean, Putnam's bleeding, so definitely leaving the weapon behind.
Yeah, for sure. Leaving the weapon behind.
[00:13:00] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:13:01] Speaker D: The.
[00:13:01] Speaker A: The knife clatters to the ground as you just follow Melody and Verity into the dining room and.
Riley, what are you doing?
[00:13:16] Speaker C: I think I'm also going to seize the opportunity to run here.
[00:13:20] Speaker A: All right, same roll. Roll with all time.
A7, same options. Run into something worse. Cause a vaccine. Leave something behind.
[00:13:33] Speaker C: I think.
I think I'll also go with leaving the weapon behind as I like, kind of just like put it down on the counter. Like this clearly isn't an effective method. Like, we're not good at stabbing people
[00:13:49] Speaker D: and.
[00:13:49] Speaker C: And yeah, run out.
[00:13:53] Speaker A: Yeah. No, you are all in the fancy dining room.
You know, Tommy will recuperate in just a moment and is currently trying to give chase, but, you know, will be back in full force in just a moment. So you. What do you do?
[00:14:14] Speaker E: Out.
Right out.
[00:14:19] Speaker A: If you're heading this way, you're going to be heading towards the back door.
Sort of go out onto the back lot.
That's where you're headed.
Unless you want to try to loop around and head out the front door.
[00:14:31] Speaker E: Ooh. That is where the car is.
[00:14:34] Speaker B: That is where the car is.
[00:14:36] Speaker D: Go out and go around them.
Like, other than that, I guess we could go like.
Wait, by looping, do you mean going back upstairs and going like, going back the way we came or going around
[00:14:50] Speaker A: Tommy, Essentially, the way the house is laid out, you could essentially make a giant loop through the house and try to hit the front door rather than. Because you're essentially where the kitchen is and the formal dining room.
If you continued, you'd probably be closer to the back door than looping back around to the front door. You could either go up the stairs and around or through the house.
[00:15:14] Speaker D: I feel like for running, we're just going to go out the back door.
[00:15:17] Speaker E: Like, we're not going to think. Yeah, yeah.
[00:15:23] Speaker A: So, yeah, you.
You hit where the back doors are and you go to push and they're not moving.
Like, you can feel that they have something on the other side has secured them so they won't open.
[00:15:41] Speaker E: Are they glass?
[00:15:43] Speaker A: No.
[00:15:45] Speaker D: Yes. We're running. Doing the loop then, right, Going around.
[00:15:48] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:15:49] Speaker D: No.
[00:15:50] Speaker A: And as. As you.
As you do, Tommy will come into view and I'm gonna need runaway rolls
[00:16:01] Speaker B: again,
[00:16:04] Speaker D: be at 12 from Faraday.
[00:16:08] Speaker C: It's a seven again. Seven. Seven.
[00:16:12] Speaker E: A nice strong two from Putnam.
[00:16:16] Speaker B: I got a five.
[00:16:20] Speaker E: Five.
[00:16:22] Speaker A: Yeah. Now put them. You go to run, but a hand on the back of your flannel grabs you and yanks you back and take another harm as you sort of slam into the wall with your shoulder.
[00:16:39] Speaker E: Looking real beat up. King.
[00:16:41] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:16:42] Speaker A: And I think Melody, you just freeze seeing this happen for just a moment.
And Riley, you same three options. Run to something worse. Make a scene, leave something behind.
[00:16:59] Speaker C: I guess. What would making a scene entail?
Just make a lot of noise.
[00:17:05] Speaker A: Make a lot of noise. You signal to.
[00:17:08] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:17:09] Speaker A: Signal to anyone else who happened. Might happen to be in the house.
[00:17:14] Speaker C: Riley is like not screaming was like in terror, but more screaming.
Just an infinite barrage of questions to hope that he answers one of the lie.
Where did you come from?
[00:17:35] Speaker E: I bet we have. We asked him. Who told him
[00:17:41] Speaker C: so. Yeah, that could be one of them. Who told you to do this? Where did you come from?
How did you get in here?
Who lock the doors? Just a slew of questions as I'm running as loud as I possibly can so everyone can hear me.
[00:18:01] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:18:02] Speaker A: No, and it's the.
Who told you to do this?
And there's just like a pause and you have. You hear a name.
You hear him say Melody as you
[00:18:20] Speaker B: run away because you succeeded on your role and I failed.
And my name gets called out.
I stand there frozen, frozen, frozen.
And then I take action by stabbing Putnam in the chest.
[00:18:40] Speaker A: Roll the flash up physically
[00:18:45] Speaker B: and I can use.
What are those things called?
[00:18:50] Speaker A: Strings.
[00:18:50] Speaker B: Strings. To get a plus one right. Plus one that turns my nine into a ten.
A good performance really makes things go well, huh? And I think she is saying that as she very calmly, very gently walks over with the knife that I think you gave her from the kitchen. And
[00:19:14] Speaker D: right there.
[00:19:15] Speaker E: Can I use my last fate?
[00:19:18] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:19:20] Speaker E: I want to make this non lethal because I have one harm left.
[00:19:25] Speaker A: It's.
[00:19:27] Speaker E: I will let you rule however you need though.
[00:19:29] Speaker A: No, like, I like that. It's just because you are still getting stabbed.
[00:19:36] Speaker E: I'm still getting stabbed. Yeah.
[00:19:38] Speaker A: But it's. It's not lethal because it's just like slightly to the left of like or right of where it should be.
Because you as a doppelganger, maybe your heart's not in the exact same place like a normal person's heart would be. So Melody stabs where the heart should be. There is not.
[00:19:58] Speaker C: It's.
[00:19:59] Speaker A: It's not fun.
You feel yourself get stabbed, but it's not enough to do actual harm to you.
[00:20:07] Speaker E: Can I try something?
[00:20:11] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:20:13] Speaker E: I'm gonna grab Melody's clothing and look her in the eye and turn into her.
[00:20:20] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:20:21] Speaker A: Roll that transform.
[00:20:24] Speaker E: That is a 7.
[00:20:25] Speaker A: 7 and 9.
[00:20:27] Speaker D: Choose one.
[00:20:29] Speaker E: The disguise won't last long. That makes the most sense. Yeah.
[00:20:34] Speaker B: I stab you and you don't die.
Oh, that's hot.
Now you look like me.
If you'll allow, Melody will give you a kiss on the mouth.
[00:20:48] Speaker E: Who do you think you are to kiss someone like me?
[00:20:51] Speaker B: One you.
[00:20:53] Speaker E: I'm better you.
[00:20:57] Speaker B: I have no doubt about that.
And she is kind of trailing a knife up your sternum, tapping it on your chest.
[00:21:07] Speaker D: Hey,
[00:21:10] Speaker B: I.
Have you ever been controlled?
[00:21:17] Speaker E: I don't know if I know who I am anymore.
[00:21:21] Speaker B: Because you've actually satisfied all the conditions.
You've taken something from me.
You've listened oh so intently to me and you touched me so, so many times.
And if you would like to more than Mike do, I mean above table, you can fall under her spell. Just like Tommy.
[00:21:52] Speaker E: Putnam would be trying to fight this as much as possible.
Because what Putnam is trying to do is mess with Melody's head as much as possible.
[00:22:01] Speaker A: I feel like I'm down to make this a rule. Shut someone down is pretty applicable role for this.
[00:22:10] Speaker E: That is a crisp bore.
[00:22:14] Speaker A: And there's nothing saying you can't try again later. But for now that you will act under what Melody tells you.
[00:22:27] Speaker B: For now,
[00:22:30] Speaker A: Verity and Riley. You all hear that? You hear at least the name being called. I don't know how much of anything else you hear.
If the name brings you up short and causes you to turn around and headed back towards where Putnam is, then you probably hear everything else.
[00:22:53] Speaker D: Yeah, it absolutely does. Unfortunately, I think Veride is just kind of standing there stunned.
I'm going to sacrifice two strings, one on Melody and one on Quinn.
To give myself a. To give myself a string. A string on myself.
And then I will throw the knife at Tommy,
[00:23:19] Speaker A: lash out physically.
[00:23:22] Speaker D: 9.
I'm gonna become a darker self. There's no.
[00:23:29] Speaker A: Yeah, it feels thematic in this moment.
[00:23:34] Speaker D: Absolutely.
[00:23:35] Speaker A: Is there anything about Verity, physically that changes when.
[00:23:39] Speaker D: Yes.
Verity's skin loses its color and loses its texture and turns into a.
The golem's body turns into gray clay.
All color leaves its skin.
Eyes turn black.
[00:24:06] Speaker A: And
[00:24:09] Speaker D: something about it is different than before.
It's not quite human, not quite alive.
As it will charge towards Tommy, embed
[00:24:27] Speaker A: that knife in his shoulder, which will cause him to drop Putnam, which may or may not be a good thing. Who Knows at this point and deals another harm. He kind of staggers back and Riley, what are you doing?
[00:24:45] Speaker C: I think Riley has a moment of like I could keep running.
Going to embrace what their grandmother has told them their power as a witch and go back into the room and try to help solve this.
And I mean I'm a witch. Gotta do some magic.
Going to attempt to bind Tommy now because my lie machine doesn't seem to work.
So that that'll be the. The first thing I do.
[00:25:31] Speaker A: I'd say it worked pretty well. It's a.
[00:25:34] Speaker C: A 13.
So yeah.
Tommy cannot physically harm others.
And I think I'm gonna taunt Melody in this moment. That's my toy now. He doesn't do that.
As you know, Tommy can. Can no longer harm people and sort of just make my way back into the room and sort of survey what's going on.
I imagine I can see see Putnam is. Melody is stabbed.
[00:26:07] Speaker A: So Melody that just happens
[00:26:11] Speaker B: as this is all happening while Riley is casting spells. I lean over to Putnam like as Putnam drops and I go to grab take the knife out of Putnam that I stabbed where the heart should be.
And I say kill Riley when they least expect it.
And then I walk over to Riley.
Oh dear.
You do not have to worry about my toys.
There is an endless supply of boys out there and she is walking forward to you with a knife.
But it's kind of circling so that wherever you are going is she blocks.
[00:26:59] Speaker A: Putnam, you've been told what to do.
What do you do in this moment? You for the most part can act. You just have to follow this directive
[00:27:11] Speaker E: you've been given disguised as Melody. I know it's not going to hold up long.
Melody with a knife walked away from me and Tommy has dropped me. So I'm gonna try to run up to Riley and say we have to get out of here.
Let's like trying to pull her back to go through the front door.
I think that would be an escape or something.
[00:27:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:27:41] Speaker D: Be run away.
[00:27:43] Speaker A: And Riley, do you allow this?
[00:27:50] Speaker C: I think man.
There there's a deep want to kill Melody in Riley that exists because you know all of this is happening because of Melody.
And I think Riley will try to fight to stay in the room and not go with put Mel.
[00:28:23] Speaker E: Would that change my role or would that just mean I have to make a different move?
[00:28:29] Speaker A: I would say Riley roll to shut down Putnam.
[00:28:35] Speaker C: That is not going to be good.
That's a five altogether.
[00:28:42] Speaker A: You try and Putnam is just pulling you along. And Putnam give me that runaway Roll seven.
Well, one of three options. Run into something worse. Cause a big scene. Leave something behind.
[00:28:58] Speaker E: If Putnam is trying to get Riley killed. Definitely run into something worse.
[00:29:05] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:29:06] Speaker A: Melody. I say there's probably several more boys here willing to do your bidding.
[00:29:12] Speaker B: There are.
So I let them go knowing that I can feel they're more in the direction where they're going.
And then I stay in this room with the golem.
[00:29:30] Speaker D: And then.
[00:29:31] Speaker A: Bring us to the golem.
What are you doing?
[00:29:36] Speaker D: Is Tommy down?
[00:29:39] Speaker A: He is unable to fight back.
He is not down. Down. He is certainly looking pretty ragged.
[00:29:50] Speaker D: I will continue stabbing him until he dies.
[00:29:53] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:29:54] Speaker A: Lash out physically.
[00:29:56] Speaker D: That's a seven.
[00:29:59] Speaker A: Seven.
[00:30:05] Speaker D: And then they will learn something about my true nature and gain string on you. So it's a bit late for that.
[00:30:13] Speaker A: They're not really gonna have much use for it as you will kill them.
[00:30:18] Speaker D: Yes. But everyone can tell in the room that Veride is gone.
Only the Golem remains.
[00:30:26] Speaker A: Is the golem efficient or brutal?
And how it dispatches Tommy?
[00:30:33] Speaker D: The golem is incredibly brutal.
It just stabs and stabs and stabs and stabs until it's just not much left.
[00:30:48] Speaker A: And that leaves Melody and the Golem alone in the room with a couple of dead bodies. And Putnam and Riley. You are running through and you are so close to the front door when another form comes from a shadow and is going to attempt to tackle you. Riley.
Well roll to keep your cool.
Roll plus cold.
[00:31:22] Speaker C: That's a.
[00:31:23] Speaker B: What is.
[00:31:24] Speaker C: That's a three.
[00:31:25] Speaker A: It's a three.
You are sort of hit from around the waist and go sprawling. There is another boy in a mask. It's too quick to tell who exactly. And he has a he. You are on the ground. He is moving to stab you with a knife.
[00:31:51] Speaker C: What even do I do?
[00:31:53] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:31:54] Speaker B: Put them.
[00:31:54] Speaker A: What do you do when you see this happen?
You were ever told not to let someone else. You're just told to.
[00:32:02] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:32:03] Speaker A: Kill Riley when she at least expected it.
[00:32:06] Speaker E: Yeah. And I mean she'd be expected to die here.
I'm gonna try to get her out of the situation.
[00:32:20] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:32:21] Speaker A: Lash out physically. You have a knife in your hand. There is someone trying to bear down on Riley.
[00:32:30] Speaker E: I will show it is a four total.
[00:32:37] Speaker A: A four?
Yeah. No.
[00:32:40] Speaker D: You.
[00:32:41] Speaker A: Unfortunately your hand is in the wrong place. So you are going to take a harm as it stabs you sort of through the wrist.
[00:32:55] Speaker E: If Putnam is under Melody spell. I think with.
Because that's. That's for harm for me.
[00:33:02] Speaker A: Say yes. As this happens there are skirting death to avoid Death. Erase all harm and choose one. Become your darkest self or lose all strings you have on everyone.
[00:33:15] Speaker E: I would rather lose the strings so I lose the one on Riley and I'd lose the one on Quinn. For call inside your head, I assume? Yeah.
[00:33:26] Speaker A: Yes, you will. And you will reset your arm tracker.
[00:33:33] Speaker E: You see a Putnam take this damage and as they do, like, the form starts to like, fail.
As like their body starts to like, glitch back to the.
The like neutral golem form or not Gollum form, the doppelganger form that they carry.
[00:33:56] Speaker A: Yeah, and this person is still trying to stab Riley. And we'll figure out what happens with that in just a second as we jump back into the room and it's Melody. And the Go
[00:34:11] Speaker D: Golem stands up, knife in its hand, and turns towards Melody
[00:34:22] Speaker B: stands stock still, looking at the change that you've had with a knife in her hand.
So what now?
[00:34:37] Speaker D: I'd do what I was designed for.
[00:34:41] Speaker B: You can be more than that.
[00:34:47] Speaker D: No, I can't.
You prove that to me.
[00:34:52] Speaker B: Kill me.
[00:34:54] Speaker D: Or it will begin walking forward.
[00:34:58] Speaker B: She walks forward, dropping the knife, walking
[00:35:05] Speaker A: forward,
[00:35:07] Speaker B: her arms open.
Do you really think you are nothing more than the thing that your parents made you?
Sweetie, you are everything.
The only thing in this world that I would never control.
Could never.
[00:35:38] Speaker D: One will slow down.
Stop.
It's.
My language is still stock still.
But there's something in its eyes.
It wants to believe that's true.
It desperately wants it to believe that's true.
[00:36:07] Speaker B: She closes the distance, drops the knife and put both hands on your face.
Come with me.
This will be our fresh start.
We can leave this town and go where we belong.
Where we can be our glorious monster selves.
We can head east.
You are the only thing in this town that I want to cherish.
[00:36:52] Speaker D: That count as someone proving that you're truly irreplaceable.
[00:37:02] Speaker A: I think as long as Melody is being honest, which I feel she is.
[00:37:08] Speaker B: Oh yeah. It's probably the most honest she's been all night.
[00:37:14] Speaker D: Veritas skin warms up again, gains color.
Her black eyes invert.
Sclera is turning back to white.
And she starts walking towards Melody.
[00:37:39] Speaker B: She embraces you, cups your face and says, go upstairs and go out the window, please. It's not a command.
[00:37:53] Speaker D: Verity sticks the knife into Melody's stomach.
I'll use the string on myself. So it's. It's eight.
I think Faraday is going to become her darker self again.
As the knife plunges into Melody's stomach.
[00:38:22] Speaker A: Melody, anything in answer to that?
[00:38:27] Speaker B: She gets Stabbed.
Good.
Finally making a choice for yourself.
And she falls to the ground and sits.
There's a place, I heard about it on the Internet, that takes in monsters just like us.
It teaches us everything that we need to know.
So this will be the only command I give you.
Go east and live a happy life. Gorgeous.
And don't forget me.
[00:39:23] Speaker D: They will accept that. The golem will accept that command.
[00:39:27] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:39:28] Speaker A: You leave Melody bleeding out on the floor.
[00:39:33] Speaker D: The golem exits the house, gets to the car.
Yeah. Well, we'll begin doing that anyway. Yeah.
[00:39:41] Speaker A: You head that way and.
[00:39:42] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:39:43] Speaker A: Putnam and Riley, you are contending with another of the enchanted.
[00:39:55] Speaker E: Does that affect the enchanted at all?
[00:39:59] Speaker A: I think so. I think it would.
As the spell is broken and this person kind of is, like, clutching at their head and reeling and trying to piece together what happened, it's enough time for you to run.
They may or may not die. Who knows?
[00:40:22] Speaker E: Yeah.
I'm grappling with my darkest self, though, so I don't know if I would run.
What does Riley do?
[00:40:36] Speaker C: I think after the shock of the, a person not trying to kill them anymore will look at Putnam and say, we. We really have to go.
There could be more people who are like this.
Try to just get Putnam to go.
[00:40:55] Speaker E: I'm. I think Putnam's gonna try to shut you down now.
They're gonna try to, like, rip their arms away and say, what's. What's the point?
I'm. I'm no one. I'm nothing. I am a mirror.
Why. Why run? Why do this?
Why am I constantly the one that is running?
Why can't I just have something nice for once?
I mean, there's so many. There's so many options here for me.
Why. Why do I need to run? I can be here and I can have something nice and I could have something stable. I could take someone's space
[00:41:37] Speaker C: processing all of the, like, things you're saying, and then.
That's about the future.
This is about now.
You can do anything you want in. In the future, but here and now we have to run.
[00:42:02] Speaker E: I don't know if I have to.
[00:42:07] Speaker C: I. I guess you don't.
[00:42:12] Speaker E: I think I could. I could.
I mean, I could. I could be.
Maybe I can just be Daisy. They. They haven't found her body yet. I'm just gonna be Daisy. And I think that's just gonna be it. Okay. Yeah. You know what? Let's go. I'm just gonna be Daisy.
I'm gonna try to turn into Daisy again.
[00:42:31] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:42:31] Speaker A: Roll dark.
[00:42:35] Speaker E: That's a 10 a 10?
[00:42:37] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:42:37] Speaker A: Daisy is a form that you are so familiar with by this point. It's. It's easy. And while you're doing this, toss me a. Shut someone down.
See if you're able to shake off any of these commands now that things are changing and.
[00:42:58] Speaker E: Which is a six.
[00:43:00] Speaker A: It's hazy, but yes, you will still eventually end.
[00:43:05] Speaker E: But it's.
[00:43:06] Speaker A: It's so very.
Open the command. It doesn't have to be tonight.
You have time.
[00:43:15] Speaker E: Or I could just be Riley right now.
[00:43:18] Speaker A: You could.
[00:43:21] Speaker E: I think that's how it manifest with Putnam being their darkest self.
I'm gonna try to attack Roll two.
[00:43:31] Speaker A: Lash out physically.
[00:43:34] Speaker E: Minus one plus one. I don't even think a five is good enough.
[00:43:37] Speaker A: No, you, unfortunately, you do play your hand and take a very ineffective slash at Riley. Riley, you see this happen.
[00:43:50] Speaker C: I think I want to run away and just give up on the idea
[00:43:54] Speaker A: that,
[00:43:57] Speaker C: you know, Platinum will come with me.
I think. I think Riley's just going to say, what's wrong with you? And try to run away. Here.
[00:44:06] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:44:07] Speaker A: Roll that volatile.
[00:44:10] Speaker C: That is an 8.
[00:44:15] Speaker A: Run into something worse. Cause a big scene or leave something behind.
[00:44:18] Speaker C: I guess. I. I'm once again causing a big scene.
Just shouting as I move towards the exit for help at this point. Because I think it's like even this person that I have been with the whole time is trying to kill me. So it's like someone has to be okay in here.
[00:44:44] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:44:44] Speaker A: And as you're running, there's a moment
[00:44:48] Speaker D: and
[00:44:51] Speaker A: you kind of hear somewhere often the house sort of the click, click, click, click, click of a gas burner waiting to catch. And you hear the catch. Like the moment it clicks. And you hear a whoosh. And it's more than just one someone turning on a burner. You can smell the gas in the house.
This place is going up. This place is gonna burn.
So, yeah, it's probably about this point where the golem passes both of you and is running out to the car.
[00:45:32] Speaker D: Golem is not running. The golem is walking.
[00:45:34] Speaker A: Golem is walking.
[00:45:35] Speaker D: Okay, Like. Like.
Like a horror villain. Like, okay, it's casual, like an automaton. Like a.
It knows where to go. Go is going there, and nothing can stop it.
[00:45:53] Speaker A: Putnam, what are you doing?
[00:45:55] Speaker E: Putnam's probably following them out, but like in a crawling and laughing maniacally way.
Cuz who even. Who even are they? Who am I?
I am nothing to these people. They don't know me.
They know Daisy.
They know who I've pretended to be.
And then when I get to the door. I'm gonna go.
Quinn's inside.
[00:46:31] Speaker A: Quinn is the only person who did try to get to know you.
[00:46:34] Speaker E: I'm gonna run and try to get Quinn.
[00:46:38] Speaker D: If
[00:46:40] Speaker A: the fire is spreading quickly, but you have time.
You can get them there, and you can get up to where they were in the room. And you did open a window.
I'm looking out on the.
Sort of the back area. There is a pool.
[00:47:05] Speaker E: Is Quinn under the bed?
[00:47:08] Speaker A: Yeah, they're still under the bed. They're worse for wear, but they have. They're still alive.
[00:47:17] Speaker E: I'm gonna try to drag him out, try to pull him out, and try to get us both out of the window.
[00:47:25] Speaker A: Yeah, I'd say so. It's only about a story down and into. Into some bushes. And it's not the most comfortable, and you're probably a little scratched up, but you have Quinn.
While the others get in.
Does the golem even care if Riley gets in the car? Or are they going? Or is it going before Riley can even get in the car?
[00:47:53] Speaker D: It's. Yeah. It's not waiting.
[00:47:55] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:47:59] Speaker D: It barely sees these people. As. As people. Fair
[00:48:04] Speaker A: Riley, do you. Do you attempt to get in the car with the golem, or are you just gonna start hoofing it back to town? It's not that far.
[00:48:12] Speaker C: Yeah, I think I might just try to walk.
Like, I think Riley's focus is, I gotta get out of here. And doesn't even, like, consider that that's fair.
[00:48:24] Speaker A: You start the long walk home as the golem drives away, as Putnam and Quinn are in the backyard, kind of just watching as this house goes up. And that leaves one more melody.
What do you do
[00:48:52] Speaker B: after setting the house on fire and waiting a few moments as I watch the car drive away and Putnam and Quinn jump into the pool.
And as the fire licks up every part of this building, I pull out of my fanny pack that has been full of granola bars this entire time.
And I pull out my phone, my other phone that is fully charged, given to me by some burnout loser.
And I call 91 1.
And I put on one last performance.
[00:49:40] Speaker D: Hello?
[00:49:42] Speaker B: There's two kids here, and they're stabbing everyone. And they're.
And I hang up the phone. I throw the phone into the fire. I walk out the door as everyone else leaves and I just catch a bus.
[00:50:00] Speaker A: No one is going to forget the final party at the Rose Manor anytime soon, no matter how much they want to.
And as the camera sort of moves to look at the moon, we hear the sound of sirens.
Approaching the burning manor as you all head off in all of your different directions, completely changed by what happened tonight.
