[00:00:51] Speaker A: Hold my hand let me stir by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me demon tower, roll me in this red light because me he is reaching the road consuming. [00:01:29] Speaker B: Hello, everybody, and welcome back to Tyrant of the dark star. I'm Aubrey Ugm. I'll introduce my players, who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get into things. [00:01:43] Speaker A: Hi, my name's Aki. Pronouns are she, her, and I am. [00:01:46] Speaker B: Playing gravewing, who is our monk kinesis. [00:01:55] Speaker A: That's it. That's all you get to know about her. Oh, also uses she her pronouns. [00:02:00] Speaker C: Hi, y'all, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play laith Idrisi, our dampier, dandy, and rogue, who uses she and he pronouns. [00:02:13] Speaker D: It's me. Hello, I'm dusty. I use they he pronouns, and I'm playing eurydo, just eurydo for now. They also use they he pronouns, and they are going to be our blood hunter. [00:02:28] Speaker A: Hello, I am ferx. I use she her pronouns, and I am playing the nephilim, I think is what they're called now, thaumaturge, who also uses she her pronouns. [00:02:42] Speaker E: Hello, I am Sparlock. I use he him pronouns. I am playing Alistair Whiskerfield, the renowned wizard and investigator who uses he him pronouns also. [00:02:57] Speaker F: Hi, I'm tick. I use Heeshide pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, a wonderful flesh warp sorcerer who is definitely not a cannibal at all. Why do you even think that? [00:03:08] Speaker B: But yes, I believe recaps are in order. Take it away, recap person. [00:03:16] Speaker F: So we did the thing that everyone loves doing most in tabletop campaigns, assigning people bedrooms. We got a nice cooked meal from all of the rations and managed to sneak back that I prepared meticulously and with a hearer dice, because I really wanted to get it perfect. And we all had nice meals and decided where we'd be sitting for a room, so we decided to randomly spin it. And I'm pretty sure our dear Alistair and Yuri got their own rooms. And I am sharing a room with Lou. And our wonderful moth mom is sharing a room with Laithe. And I pity moth mom every second of the day for having to deal with that motherfucker. But we decided our rooms. We put down our stuff and decided to head to the, I think the booker tarot shop next. I think a tarot shop. [00:04:04] Speaker B: Yep. I think the tarot shop. Yeah. [00:04:05] Speaker F: Yes. And unfortunately, we decided to not succeed on our stealth roles. And Aubrey has given us some goals to fight. [00:04:13] Speaker B: Yep. [00:04:13] Speaker D: Yay. [00:04:15] Speaker B: Come around a corner. You come around a corner. Find yourselves face down with a pack of ghouls, and we'll start everything by rolling initiative. [00:04:30] Speaker A: Do I use my bell dice, form a shift, or my flower dice? [00:04:37] Speaker F: The ones that roll higher, please. [00:04:39] Speaker A: Um, it depends. So I chose Belle poorly. [00:04:50] Speaker C: I chose flower poorly. So I was going to tell you to pick Belle. [00:04:54] Speaker A: Oh, I picked Belle, and it went bad. So that's gonna be 14 from me in total. [00:05:10] Speaker E: 21 from Alastair. [00:05:12] Speaker A: Thank heavens one of us is rolling. Well. [00:05:17] Speaker D: I got a 17. [00:05:22] Speaker C: I got a nine. [00:05:25] Speaker D: Oh. [00:05:25] Speaker F: Oh, no, that's okay. We don't need you. I got an 18, by the way, because I'm cooler than Alyssa. [00:05:34] Speaker B: And Yuri. What'd you say? 1717. And, oh, yes, we got our roll for graveling. Okay, they rolled. [00:05:54] Speaker F: Yeah, that makes sense pretty well. [00:05:56] Speaker B: Yeah, they got a 21. Cause we are short for Aki this time. [00:06:01] Speaker C: Since you're the one who's rolling for Aki, does that mean you're gonna roll her an advantage to make it more like the Aki experience? [00:06:10] Speaker B: I don't know. Because the few times I've had to roll for Aki, I think it was a brief period of time in Ferris game where I was rolling for Aki's character. Just Kazaki wasn't there, and then Aki. I was blessed with Aki's dice luck. [00:06:24] Speaker A: Yeah, it doesn't matter whether or not she's. As long as it's her character. [00:06:28] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a weird phenomenon. I mean, she rolled the 17 on the dice, so that's pretty good. [00:06:38] Speaker F: That's just kind of good, actually. It's middling, I think. Personally, I think Aki would have rolled a 19. [00:06:46] Speaker A: Well, we have to make do with the aki at home. [00:06:48] Speaker B: Yes. Aki at home. Scoreboard. [00:06:50] Speaker F: I'm supposed to be bullying Aki. Why are we being nice to her? Fuck that woman. [00:06:55] Speaker B: I hope she's having a lovely vacation. [00:06:58] Speaker A: I don't. [00:06:59] Speaker B: Okay, we are going to start with one of the ghouls, the one that's directly in front of you. Alouette. [00:07:08] Speaker D: Oh, no. [00:07:13] Speaker A: I don't know what that noise the both of us just made was, but it was very despairing. [00:07:22] Speaker B: Going to sort of scuttle forward with its all little desiccated body. [00:07:30] Speaker A: Please don't make my dream come true. [00:07:33] Speaker B: And then reach out and attempt to grapple you for its first action. Okay. [00:07:45] Speaker A: Side note. Can you hear my washer going off right now? It's on the spin cycle, and it's very loud. [00:07:52] Speaker B: No, okay. [00:07:54] Speaker A: Thank you. [00:08:00] Speaker B: Well, I don't think an eleven is going to successfully beat your DC. [00:08:05] Speaker A: My DC or my AC. [00:08:09] Speaker B: It would be your reflex DC. [00:08:13] Speaker A: Oh. What did you get? [00:08:16] Speaker B: Eleven. [00:08:17] Speaker F: Okay. [00:08:18] Speaker A: It was close, though. It was close. [00:08:26] Speaker B: And then it's just gonna. Seeing that it is going to follow up with an attack with its claw. We're also an eleven day. [00:08:40] Speaker A: No dice. [00:08:41] Speaker B: Yeah, so that is not much for that. And now it is. Let's see. This one will take a step forward towards you, Niall. [00:09:02] Speaker F: No, I'm squishy. [00:09:04] Speaker B: It is gonna do something similar. It is going to attempt to grab you. Does a 21 beat your fortitude? [00:09:16] Speaker E: DC? [00:09:19] Speaker F: No, I think the 20 one's a bit too. Yes, it does offer. You piece of shit. I'm a spellcaster. I'm also level two. [00:09:26] Speaker B: Uh huh. And then it's gonna attempt to sink its fangs into your shoulder. [00:09:30] Speaker F: I'm gonna bite it back at him. [00:09:35] Speaker B: So that is a 22. [00:09:37] Speaker D: No. [00:09:38] Speaker F: Yeah. Stop rolling high. [00:09:40] Speaker B: You. [00:09:41] Speaker F: You woman. [00:09:46] Speaker B: Is that a. Just a regular success? [00:09:48] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:09:49] Speaker B: Mm hmm. [00:09:52] Speaker F: Eat those dice. [00:09:54] Speaker B: I'm gonna need you to make a fortitude saving throw. [00:09:58] Speaker F: Is this against, like, disease? [00:10:00] Speaker B: Yes. [00:10:01] Speaker F: Okay. [00:10:03] Speaker B: You actually need to make two. [00:10:05] Speaker F: Why is one disease and one poison? [00:10:11] Speaker B: Uh, one is disease and one is paralysis. [00:10:15] Speaker F: Does that count as a disease or a poison? [00:10:21] Speaker B: No. Accounts for incapacitation. [00:10:24] Speaker F: I'm gonna pee on you. [00:10:30] Speaker A: What are you, a dog? [00:10:32] Speaker B: So the first one, a rabbit, actually. [00:10:36] Speaker F: Sorry, my mic keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. I'm sorry. Have you guys been able to hear me the past few seconds? [00:10:43] Speaker A: Unfortunately, yes. [00:10:45] Speaker F: So I got a 23 on the. On the disease save. Okay, so excuse me, working overtime. And for the paralysis save, that is just without a plus one because I get a plus one for them. That is also a 23 because I rolled a 17 instead of a 16. [00:11:08] Speaker B: So you do not have to worry about the paralysis or the ghoul fever, but you will take seven piercing damage as it gets. Bites into the non mouth, shoulder. [00:11:21] Speaker F: They both have mouths. [00:11:23] Speaker A: They're. [00:11:23] Speaker F: They're all the. You're gonna. This is like a weird kiss. [00:11:29] Speaker B: Gizm's not into it. [00:11:31] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:11:33] Speaker F: Uh. [00:11:39] Speaker B: And that is. That is this. It is their entire turn. And that'll bring us to Alistair. [00:11:51] Speaker E: We're a little bit pinned in here. Maybe we should move out. I am going to look at the one that just attacked and devise a stratagem. They're fairly easy to hit, so I think that will actually hit. So I will take that and I will use that. Not very good to attack with. My crossbow does a 17 hit. [00:12:36] Speaker B: Yes, a 17 will hit. [00:12:44] Speaker E: All right. And they're immune to precision damage, aren't they? [00:12:57] Speaker B: No. [00:12:59] Speaker E: Okay, so that does two damage, and no way am I running out there on my own. No way back. So I will take my third turn and just reload. [00:13:17] Speaker B: And that'll bring us to gravewing. And the gravewing is going to use her first action to channel elements with her gate and is. Yeah. It will help you, Lou, with two elemental blasts at the one that is directly in front of you. So we'll hit with one, we'll miss with the other for six electricity damage, and that'll bring us to Niall. [00:14:16] Speaker F: Ooh, it's my turn. So the guy that decided that it would be a good idea to bite me, um, technically he bit me on the shoulder, which does also have mouths. I think there's mouths basically everywhere. Um, I would like for those mouths to sort of open. And I'd like to shoot needle darts out of those ones for flavor text. I know I still have to roll to hit, but I think that's some cool flavor text. [00:14:38] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:14:40] Speaker F: All right, let's exit. Let's needle dart out the hole. And I will make a. It is a cantrip, and it is that to hit. Okay, let me roll the Nile dice. That is. God, these dice are fucking jacked. I need to go thank Zenith for them. Actually. That is a 24 to hit. [00:15:03] Speaker B: 24 will hit, not a crit. [00:15:07] Speaker F: I'm gonna eat your pants. Okay, so that is seven points of piercing damage. As you guys watch, this goal bites down on Niall's shoulder. And then three pierces of this blackish needles come straight through the back of its head. And I assume it's still kicking. So. [00:15:29] Speaker B: Yes, it is. [00:15:30] Speaker F: Yeah. For my third action, I'm going to cast shield. So the mouth on the eye, like the mouth on the face where the eye is, will kind of create that sort of ickery shield like substance and almost just kind of position itself between the ghoul and Nile is like, I don't know if it's still biting me or not. I just want the shield. [00:15:47] Speaker B: Yeah, you know? What was the total damage number again? [00:15:50] Speaker F: About a seven. [00:15:51] Speaker B: Seven. [00:15:52] Speaker F: Got a three. One and a three. [00:15:55] Speaker B: All right, you deal a decent amount of damage on this thing, and then that'll bring us to Eurydhao. [00:16:10] Speaker D: There we go. Um, let's see. I think first action I'm going to do. What, what the hell is it called? It's been a minute since I've looked at this. No, not that I haven't revealed that to the party. Um. Oh, Crimson. Right. There we go. Uh, Yurida would have had the longsword. They've, uh, been given out. And so just like, very, very stylish, stylishly, like, anime esque, like, swipe their hand, uh, lightly on the edge of the blade, and it's gonna burst into flame. And I'm going to. Because Lou was attacked, Eurydo is going to go over here. Can I. Can I walk through enemy spaces? I always forget. [00:17:22] Speaker B: Uh, you cannot walk through any spaces. You can tumble through, though if you. [00:17:29] Speaker D: Want to do that, that would be all my actions. So instead, Eurydo is going to be right here. That's not a problem whatsoever. In the middle of three goals. [00:17:39] Speaker B: Sure. It's fine. [00:17:40] Speaker D: It's fine. They haven't attacked yet. It's fine. I need to take damage, though, because of my crimson right. How much do I take? [00:17:55] Speaker B: I think it's based on your level. Half of your level, I believe. [00:18:01] Speaker D: So did you do. [00:18:08] Speaker B: Crimson right? You take damage to equal to twice your level. [00:18:19] Speaker D: That makes more sense. [00:18:20] Speaker B: Yes. [00:18:21] Speaker D: Yeah. It's blood, Hunter. Very. Health is a resource in this one. [00:18:25] Speaker B: Yep. [00:18:26] Speaker D: Um, and then I'm going to attack with the longsword to the one that attacked Lou. They didn't. That's a fucking Nat 20. [00:18:36] Speaker B: Let's go. Um, all right, let me draw you a card. [00:18:44] Speaker D: Yes. [00:18:47] Speaker B: So you. The card you got was gory. Uh, and then the target is sickened one. [00:18:53] Speaker D: Huh? Can ghouls be sickened? [00:19:04] Speaker B: I believe so, yes. [00:19:06] Speaker D: Okay. And is it double damage? [00:19:13] Speaker B: Yes. Roll your damage and then double it. [00:19:16] Speaker D: Great. So that's gonna be 20 damage. [00:19:19] Speaker B: Yeah. It's dead. [00:19:23] Speaker D: Yeah. It's like incredibly quick motion, that euro dosi. This one gets attacked and slices it down, then looks at Lou, is like, you've got to do better than that. Come on. [00:19:36] Speaker A: All right. All right. [00:19:39] Speaker D: And that's my turn. [00:19:41] Speaker B: Yeah, speaking of Lou, it is now your turn. [00:19:44] Speaker A: Okay. Pressure's on. Lou is going to look at. I guess she's gonna. Oh, I don't have to. She's gonna eye the ghoul in front of Yuri. And I'm going to exploit vulnerability. I can remember. How do I roll? I roll against you. [00:20:13] Speaker B: Yes. [00:20:13] Speaker A: No, I roll against your DC. [00:20:15] Speaker B: I roll against the DC? Yeah. You roll against the DC. [00:20:18] Speaker A: Yeah. It's an esoteric lore. [00:20:20] Speaker B: Check. Yeah. [00:20:22] Speaker A: I trusted you. I knew you would do me good. Okay. It's a natural 17 plus esoterica. 25. [00:20:35] Speaker B: 25 will be a critical success. Just barely. [00:20:39] Speaker A: I love that. Oh, wait. [00:20:41] Speaker B: Hang on. [00:20:41] Speaker A: I've never gotten a critical on this before. Okay, so I remember the creature's weaknesses, and I get a flash of insight that grants even more knowledge. So I learn your resistances, weaknesses and immunities, including the amounts of the resistances and weaknesses and any unusual weaknesses or vulnerabilities. I'm just gonna copy paste this. Hold on. [00:21:08] Speaker B: Well, I'll start with your immunities. For the ghouls, they are immune to death effects, disease, paralyze, poison, or unconscious. They don't have any specific weaknesses or resistances. But you do know, being undead, they can be harmed by. I don't remember what we changed. What they changed, like, positive to essentially healing and things like that. Holy. Yeah, holy, maybe. Yeah, they could be damaged by that. [00:21:50] Speaker F: Okay. [00:21:53] Speaker A: And is there any amounts to those resistances or weaknesses? [00:21:57] Speaker B: Uh, no. [00:21:58] Speaker A: Okay. Um. And then I get to exploit it. Yay. Um, and my unarmed and weapon strikes are magical against it. If they weren't already. Noice. [00:22:12] Speaker B: I mean, uh, I mean, it is. You can damage it with holy. It doesn't have a specific weakness to it. It's just, you know, you can do that because it's considered a negative creature. Um, so, yeah, you would actually probably use personal antithesis. [00:22:26] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Well, it is smelly and it's gross. So I think she's gonna pull out a little potpourri packet that she stole from the house. [00:22:39] Speaker B: Was it that her bar soap? [00:22:41] Speaker A: Yeah, or the soap? Yeah, a little. Some soap shavings. That's why there's a corner missing. It's not because somebody was chewing on it. It's because she shaved off some pieces and a little potpourri, and she's going to wave that around and stab it. [00:22:57] Speaker B: Hmm. [00:23:02] Speaker A: Let'S see here. It's gonna be a. Well, that's not a great number, I think. Yeah, no, that's a bad number. I think that's a four. [00:23:17] Speaker F: I was muted and just said, is it above a five? And then you said, it's a four. And I'm like, God, I wish I wasn't muted. That was so funny. [00:23:22] Speaker A: Yeah, it might be a nine, but I'm pretty sure it's a four. Either way, I'm gonna use a hero point. [00:23:27] Speaker B: That's probably a good idea. [00:23:29] Speaker F: Five and you're good. [00:23:30] Speaker A: Okay, that's gonna be an 18 total. [00:23:33] Speaker B: 18 is going to hit. [00:23:35] Speaker A: Yay. Okay, I'm gonna step in for. Let's just see what the button does. Oh, it's four plus my extreme level, so. [00:23:49] Speaker B: Plus three. So that'd be seven. [00:23:51] Speaker A: Yeah, seven damage. Oh, my gosh, I have another action. How dare I? [00:23:58] Speaker B: Forks. [00:24:01] Speaker A: I'm gonna stab it again. [00:24:03] Speaker B: Which one are you stabbing? [00:24:04] Speaker A: Same one. The one in front of Yuri. The one directly in front. The furthest one away. Unless I can't reach that. I might have to have moved. [00:24:15] Speaker B: Yes. If you were doing the one that was right there or the one, uh. Which one? That one. [00:24:20] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:24:21] Speaker B: You would have had to move. [00:24:22] Speaker A: Perfect. [00:24:23] Speaker B: Move on top of the corpse. I'll move the corpse out of the. [00:24:26] Speaker A: Way for you, Grody, but that's okay, Haza. And I'll look at Yuri and say, how about that? [00:24:35] Speaker D: Very good. Now keep it going, please. [00:24:38] Speaker A: Obviously you're going to die if I don't. That's me. I'm done. [00:24:48] Speaker B: And we'll come to this school. They will go after you, Laith. So school moves in on laith and they are going to come in with two claw strikes. And so that's a 22 and a ten. [00:25:14] Speaker C: I will nimble dodge for the first one. Wait, 22, 21, 20. Never mind. I will not nibble. Dodge for the first one because it would still hit me. So first one hit, second one misses. [00:25:27] Speaker B: And also, you're an elf, so you don't have to worry about the paralysis. [00:25:32] Speaker C: Is that true? Is that a thing? [00:25:35] Speaker B: It says paralysis. Any living non elf creature hit by a ghoul's attack must succeed at a DC 50. Fortitude, save wild. What? [00:25:45] Speaker F: Where's this favoritism coming from? [00:25:48] Speaker B: Paizo. [00:25:50] Speaker F: Come on, Paizo. You can hate on elves a little bit. I think it should only affect elves. There should be a creature that can only paralyze elves in the future, then it's only fair. [00:26:01] Speaker B: So it's three slashing damage on you, Laithe, and then. Yep, that's its entire turn. So we've got the one that's right next to Yuri. They are going to first action attempt to grapple Yuri. [00:26:23] Speaker D: What about. [00:26:23] Speaker B: No, that's a twelve. I don't think that's going to grapple you. [00:26:28] Speaker D: Nah, nah. It's against. What? Athletics? DC? [00:26:33] Speaker B: Yes, I think so. [00:26:35] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. [00:26:36] Speaker B: No, yeah. [00:26:37] Speaker D: No, no, no. [00:26:37] Speaker B: I mean twelve, no matter what. Like, it's. Even if it's a four to two, DC. [00:26:42] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. No, definitely not. [00:26:45] Speaker B: So then it's gonna make two claw. Claw attacks at multiple action penalty. [00:26:50] Speaker D: How? [00:26:52] Speaker B: A 14 and a 414. [00:26:56] Speaker D: No, four is a crit fail. [00:26:59] Speaker B: Crit fail. Okay, do you have anything that would trigger on a crit fail? [00:27:06] Speaker D: Could I suddenly get attack of opportunity? [00:27:10] Speaker B: No. [00:27:11] Speaker D: Then no, I do not. [00:27:12] Speaker B: Yeah, and because it's not a one, I'm not drawing cards. [00:27:16] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:27:18] Speaker B: So, yeah, it does a bunch of nothing. But his friend directly in front of him, it also now goes. And this one is gonna, um. Um. So, yeah, this one is going to start with a, uh, a jaw attack on you, Gary. [00:27:44] Speaker D: I also think. [00:27:45] Speaker B: No, uh, that is a 27. [00:27:48] Speaker D: I shouldn't accept anything. [00:27:51] Speaker A: Um, I can disrupting harmony. It. [00:27:58] Speaker B: What does that do? [00:28:00] Speaker A: Sorry. The trigger is a strike on me or one of my allies within 30ft if I'm holding my belt, and I always am. And that is going to be. You must make a will save against my class, DC. Or become enseebled or clumsy. [00:28:15] Speaker B: Okay, you said will save. Yeah, that is 17. Does 17 beat your class DC? [00:28:26] Speaker A: Hang on, I'm trying to find it. [00:28:28] Speaker B: It should be on the left, 18. So they will either become clumsy or enfeebled. [00:28:35] Speaker A: Uh huh. Um, I don't know which one's better. So let's say with, uh, enfeebled because I don't want to attack my cousin. [00:28:48] Speaker B: Um. [00:28:49] Speaker D: Get it below a 26. [00:28:50] Speaker B: I believe that will. That will be. That will be a 26. [00:28:54] Speaker D: That's still a crit, dag. [00:28:58] Speaker B: Give me 242 saves. [00:29:03] Speaker D: All right, roll. [00:29:06] Speaker B: You're only gonna take six damage. [00:29:08] Speaker D: That's not bad. [00:29:10] Speaker C: But you might turn into a ghoul. [00:29:12] Speaker D: That's fine. That's far from the worst thing that's happened here, though, this week. My first one is a 16. [00:29:24] Speaker B: Okay. [00:29:25] Speaker D: My second one is an at 20. [00:29:28] Speaker B: You appear to be fine, path builder. [00:29:30] Speaker D: You're being so nice to me just because I can't find my dice. [00:29:34] Speaker F: No, hold on, hold on. Aubrey said up here to be fine. I don't trust that. [00:29:39] Speaker D: Yeah, it's fine. [00:29:39] Speaker B: We'll see. [00:29:40] Speaker D: We'll see. [00:29:42] Speaker B: I wish I had sticky notes. [00:29:45] Speaker D: Wait, I don't like that. [00:29:49] Speaker B: Late. It will now be. It is now your turn. No, wait. No, this. Well, this one had two more actions. I got distracted. It's gonna take a step. Why is everyone moving again? [00:30:01] Speaker A: We're afraid. The ghouls are scary. [00:30:07] Speaker B: So ghoul is gonna take a step over and is going to use its last action to consume flesh of its dead brethren. [00:30:18] Speaker F: Ew. That's cannibalism. [00:30:20] Speaker A: That's gross. [00:30:22] Speaker B: And it's gonna heal for damage. [00:30:27] Speaker D: Hey, now, wait. [00:30:28] Speaker A: That's like. [00:30:29] Speaker D: Wait, that's the damage. [00:30:31] Speaker B: Leif, now it is your turn. [00:30:34] Speaker C: Does bonmot work on ghouls or does it have to be things? What can think? Ghouls can think. [00:30:41] Speaker A: Question mark. [00:30:43] Speaker B: Uh, yeah, ghouls can think. They've got a positive intelligence score. They've got a plus one to intelligence. [00:30:54] Speaker C: Okay, well, then I'm going to attempt to bon mom at the one who just ate its sibling's flesh. I will shout at it that the only cannibal we want around here is the cookie. And so that is a diplomacy against their will DC. [00:31:19] Speaker B: Okay, so their will DC would be 15. [00:31:24] Speaker C: I got a dirty 20. [00:31:27] Speaker B: So, yeah, yeah, that's a success. [00:31:29] Speaker A: Yay. [00:31:31] Speaker C: So negative two to perception and will saves for the next minute. And then I am going to look at the one who is directly across from me. I am going. Or directly, like, next to me, right in front of me, the one who tried to kill me, and I am going to faint with my dagger and then attempt to hit it with my dagger. Does 18 beat their perception DC? [00:32:16] Speaker B: Yes. [00:32:17] Speaker C: Oh, sweet. Okay, so they are off guard against my melee attack, and I am allowed to step immediately after the feint as a free action. So I am going to sort of step to be back to back with gravewing, and then I will do my attack. [00:32:44] Speaker B: All right. [00:32:47] Speaker C: Does a 19 hit? [00:32:50] Speaker B: A 19 will hit. [00:32:51] Speaker C: Okay, sweet. That is ten damage. [00:32:59] Speaker B: Why? You get a solid blow on them. [00:33:02] Speaker C: And that is my turn. [00:33:04] Speaker B: All right. And that'll bring us to the top of round two with the ghoul that is now right in front of Nile. [00:33:16] Speaker F: You try to eat me, I'll fucking eat you. You want. You want to play games? [00:33:21] Speaker B: The answer is yes, you mighty scrumptious looking buddy. And is going to. We're going to start off with another jaw strike. [00:33:36] Speaker F: I have a plus one to my defenses now. [00:33:38] Speaker B: At least it is a 25. [00:33:43] Speaker F: So, um, I have good news and I have bad news. Good news is it hit? No. Good news is it. Good news is it's not a crit. Because I have the plus, uh, because of the shield. Um, bad news is it hits. Good news again, I can. I can shield block as a reaction. [00:34:04] Speaker A: Right? [00:34:04] Speaker F: So I'd like to do that, actually. Please. [00:34:08] Speaker B: You will reduce the damage by its hardness, which is five. So you will take no damage from this. [00:34:18] Speaker F: Do I still have to make the saving throws? Cause I took no damage. [00:34:26] Speaker B: Hmm. Sure. [00:34:30] Speaker C: No. [00:34:31] Speaker B: What are you saying? Sure you don't have to make the savings. [00:34:36] Speaker F: Screw you. I was like, okay, thank you for hearing. [00:34:39] Speaker B: Because, you know, you took no damage, therefore, they did not actually bite into your flesh. [00:34:45] Speaker F: They kind of bite. [00:34:46] Speaker B: Yeah, the shield took it, but it still has two more actions. [00:34:52] Speaker F: Oh, I have a shield anymore. [00:34:55] Speaker B: It's going to take two claw attacks at you. That's fine for a 21 and a four. Man, I'm really at very opposite ends of the spectrum today. [00:35:04] Speaker F: The 21 will hit, the four will crit fail. [00:35:07] Speaker B: Yeah, I will need you to make a one fortitude save, though. [00:35:13] Speaker F: Is this against disease? [00:35:15] Speaker B: No, this is against paralysis. [00:35:16] Speaker F: Okay, I have to check because I have a bonus, but not paralysis. So this is not me being quirky about it, it's me being like, ooh, do I add the plus one or not? [00:35:26] Speaker B: Hash quirky. [00:35:28] Speaker F: Hash quirk the boy go to with the sauce. Um, sorry, my dice tolerated that statement. That's a 15. [00:35:38] Speaker B: A 15, that is. You appear to be fine. You're not paralyzed, so. [00:35:45] Speaker F: Hmm. Okay, noted. [00:35:51] Speaker B: Uh, and that'll bring us to Alistair. [00:35:57] Speaker E: All right. [00:35:59] Speaker B: Hmm. [00:36:00] Speaker E: I'm going to keep up on the same target, though. I'm kind of not looking forward to getting attacked by this guy that's right in front of me right now. But I will look, I will devise a stratagem. Hey, maybe my looks turning around, because that is a 19. So I will look down my sights or whatever you have on crossbow. Guess it doesn't have sights. And that will be a 28 to hit. [00:36:56] Speaker B: That will be a critical hit. Yay. [00:37:05] Speaker E: No special thing on that. Wow. Ten hole damage. [00:37:16] Speaker B: But that is enough to take the ghoul out. [00:37:27] Speaker E: It was supposed to actually be the one immediately below him. [00:37:31] Speaker B: Oh, sorry, I did not see. So that goal is fine. [00:37:36] Speaker F: Screw you. [00:37:37] Speaker B: The one that's below Nile is still standing. [00:37:43] Speaker E: Maybe I should have said anything, but he was the one that I attacked originally. All right, and for my third action, I'm gonna reload again. Let's just keep up with that. And that will be my turn. [00:38:09] Speaker B: All right, so, gravewing seeing. So, yeah, we're just gonna do a. On the one that is right behind. Right behind you, Laithe. We're gonna do a flurry of blows. Um, yeah, I aki dice. Luck is not with me. So neither of those are going to hit. And we'll just. Well, for the last action, do an elemental blast. Wait, just two actions left. So an elemental blast at one of them, which still even won't hit. It was crit fishing at that point and is gonna. Five foot step. Why are you moving? Stay there. [00:39:16] Speaker F: Stay there, you little rat. [00:39:20] Speaker B: So I don't know why everyone's tokens are moving when I move any of you on the map. So last section, five foot step. So it is directly in front of Alistair, protecting the rat. I'll bring you to Nile. [00:39:39] Speaker F: I was like, yay. Oh, wait, I muted myself. Let me check my spell list again really quickly, because, let's see. Honestly, I think last time went well. Why not do the same thing again? Um, I don't think I can really help anyone, per se. They're all just kind of vibing to the best their ability. So I am going to do the same thing. This guy keeps trying to bite me, I'm gonna shoot him to death again. Or at least I'm going to try to, because he is being really fucking annoying and a little bit cringe, you know, that has out of me eating my dice to get a better rule. [00:40:20] Speaker B: Let's hope it works. [00:40:22] Speaker F: Um, it did. Okay, that's. That's a twelve plus seven. [00:40:28] Speaker B: That's a. [00:40:28] Speaker F: That's a 19. [00:40:30] Speaker B: A 19 will hit. [00:40:32] Speaker F: I'll take it. [00:40:33] Speaker B: Mm hmm. [00:40:36] Speaker F: That's a four. [00:40:43] Speaker A: That is. [00:40:44] Speaker F: That is nine points of stabbing damage with my eye. [00:40:48] Speaker B: That is enough to take out the ghoul that is in front of you with your little needle darts. [00:40:55] Speaker F: And I'm going to cast shield again to deal with the guy that's now adjacent to me. I'm just like, all right, let's keep this up. We only got a few more left. [00:41:09] Speaker B: Eurado, it is now your turn. [00:41:12] Speaker D: Great. Sword is still a flame. I'm gonna attack the one that's in front of Lou. It's a swish slush attack. Oh, I am going. That's a ten. Is that crit fail? [00:41:36] Speaker B: No, it is not. [00:41:40] Speaker D: I'll try one more time. Let's see. Roll better. Hmm. That's another ten. I, in fact, rolled worse. [00:41:54] Speaker B: Yet, neither of those are gonna hit. [00:41:58] Speaker D: Um, I am going to study enemy, then, since I keep missing it. Let's see. I use a monster lore. Recall knowledge check. Monster lore. Thank you. That's a 21. Recall knowledge check. [00:42:23] Speaker B: Yeah, that's. That's more than enough. [00:42:27] Speaker D: Is it a crit? [00:42:28] Speaker B: No. [00:42:29] Speaker D: Okay, that's fine. You and allies, you shared a knowledge with gain. A plus one circumstance bonus to hit against the targeted recall knowledge until your next turn. Um, I think Yuri then just, like, yells to the. Everyone. It's just, they're dead. Kill them better. I don't know. [00:42:54] Speaker B: Kill them better. [00:42:55] Speaker D: Kill them better. Kill them better. And that's my turn. [00:43:06] Speaker B: All right, uh, I'm gonna bring a saloo. [00:43:10] Speaker A: Okay. Um, one quick second. I was in the middle of looking this up, and then it was my turn. I think this is just. I think this is just a thing. I think this is just a thing. [00:43:27] Speaker B: A thing. [00:43:27] Speaker A: Yes, a thing that exists. It's not like an action specifically, or at least it's not on my actions list. So I hope it's just a thing. So Lou's going to do a little flourish with her belle while she swings into strike. The ghoul in front of her, actually, wait, hold up. Sorry. Hold up. I forgot. We're going to exploit vulnerability again because this is a new ghoul. Forgot about that. So first we're going to exploit vulnerability. So that's going to be. [00:44:09] Speaker B: S attack lore. Check. Mm hmm. 1515. Yes. A 15 will be a success. [00:44:21] Speaker F: Woo. [00:44:22] Speaker A: Okay, I don't think you have to tell me anything new, but I'm just going to shake the potpourri at it. Your smell so bad. And then she's going to ring her bell in a little fancy pattern while she lunges forward to strike with the sword. So that's going to be. Hmm. Not great. Gotta be at 1313. [00:44:59] Speaker B: I'm sure you don't want to spend your opponent. [00:45:04] Speaker A: No. Yeah, I already did. Yes, I did that last time. I don't have. Yeah, all of my stuff just adds to my damage. It doesn't add to my. [00:45:21] Speaker C: My thingy. [00:45:21] Speaker F: Thingy. [00:45:22] Speaker A: I was just double checking because this is damage per die and this is. [00:45:28] Speaker D: Two strikes plus one from me yelling to kill them. Better. [00:45:34] Speaker A: Okay. [00:45:35] Speaker D: It's a circumstance bonus to hit. [00:45:37] Speaker A: Um, then that makes that a. What did I just say? That makes that a 14. [00:45:47] Speaker B: 1414 is unfortunately not enough. [00:45:51] Speaker A: That's okay. I still have one more action and a different dice. They rolled the same number, so. But worse because multi attack penalty. So it's gonna be a McCree bail. [00:46:10] Speaker B: As long as it's not a one, you're good. [00:46:12] Speaker A: No, it's an eight on the dice, which minus my attack. Basically, my attack is a plus five. So just subtract that out of the way. Get that completely out of here. So I rolled in a nine plus yuri. Okay. [00:46:30] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:46:31] Speaker A: Bye. [00:46:32] Speaker B: So it is now the ghoul. That is kind of between Laith and moth. Mom, I'm going to have them. We'll take a. Take a claw strike at graveling. That is crit. That's my crit. Right? No good. Yeah, they are. They don't have to worry about the paralysis. And they're gonna take five damage and then it is going to turn to you lathe and attack at the multiple attack penalty for one. For a six total. So. So this card is called smash the floor. And it is you kick up a cloud of dust, becoming blinded until the end of your next turn. So, yeah, this ghoul just kicks up a bunch of dirt and stuff on the ground and hisses, gets into its eyes. Um, and it is just, you know, gonna. It's gonna try one more time to see if it can even attack. Will it roll be. Oh, I'll just need to roll a. Come on. I was gonna hope it was gonna roll for me, so. Yeah, no, I can't even find you. It's just sort of flailing wildly, trying to hit something. And now it is the ghoul that is between Laithe and Eurado, the one that you've been trying to hit. Gary. Right. [00:48:41] Speaker D: The one I was trying to hit is in front of Lou. [00:48:44] Speaker B: Ah. So it's going to change its tactic just a little bit. Uh, if it can't grapple, why not trip. [00:49:08] Speaker F: Don'T do that. [00:49:13] Speaker B: So it is an 18 versus your reflex, DC. [00:49:20] Speaker D: Who's me? [00:49:22] Speaker B: Yes. [00:49:23] Speaker D: Okay. Um, that meets it. So I think it beats it. [00:49:29] Speaker B: Yep. Meets it. Beats. Uh. So now you are knocked prone. [00:49:38] Speaker D: Having a bad day over here. [00:49:40] Speaker B: Uh huh. And then it is going to pounce and do a claw and a bite attack. So the claw attack is a 23, but the bite attack is only a three. [00:50:05] Speaker A: Is this the same one? Can I do it again? [00:50:09] Speaker B: Yes. [00:50:11] Speaker A: I'm ringing my bell again, very loudly. There's no method to it. It's just. Stop attacking. [00:50:18] Speaker D: Ring a ding ding. [00:50:20] Speaker A: Ring a ding ding ding. [00:50:21] Speaker B: We'll say please for a nat 20. [00:50:25] Speaker A: No. Get out of here. It's mostly just distracting Yuri instead of. [00:50:34] Speaker B: Unfortunately. [00:50:37] Speaker D: First one is a normal hit, second one is a critical fail. [00:50:42] Speaker B: Yeah. So you will take four claw damage, and I need another fortitude safe. [00:50:50] Speaker D: All right. Fortitude. Okay, that's a 19 total. [00:50:56] Speaker B: 19. You're good. At least these are not the ghouls that are stinky. [00:51:03] Speaker D: No. Stinky. No. Please. [00:51:05] Speaker B: Where you have to make a bus on them. You know, every turn. You're, like, close to them once you crit. Succeed. Okay. And now is the ghoul that just ate its friend, I believe. Does the effect from the bell last to the end of the next turn or the end of their last turn? [00:51:27] Speaker A: Uh, it might already be done. Hold on. It is till the end of my next turn, which stabbed myself. So, grammatically. [00:51:39] Speaker B: Yep. All right. Uh, and, you know, you tried to stab it. You did stab it, Lou did not. So seeing how successful its friend was in knocking down your cousin, it is going to try to trip you. [00:51:56] Speaker A: Please let it not take much. [00:52:00] Speaker B: Eleven versus your reflex DC. [00:52:04] Speaker A: That is what it tried last time. And still, somehow I'm more reflexive than that. [00:52:10] Speaker B: Yeah. So then we're gonna do two claw attacks on you. [00:52:14] Speaker A: No. [00:52:17] Speaker B: A twelve and a 13. [00:52:21] Speaker A: Miss. Miss. [00:52:22] Speaker B: Yep. So you're able to weave and dodge out of the way. And that'll bring us to laithe. [00:52:29] Speaker C: Yeah. I'm gonna try and stab the one that is between mothmom and I. The one to the south of me first attack is a dirty 20. [00:52:48] Speaker B: All right, that will hit. [00:52:55] Speaker C: For seven damage. [00:53:01] Speaker B: It is still standing. [00:53:03] Speaker C: Okay. I will attempt to stab them again. Another dirty 20. [00:53:18] Speaker B: Hell yeah. [00:53:27] Speaker C: Six damage. [00:53:29] Speaker B: That is more than enough to take them out. [00:53:33] Speaker C: Yeah. And then I will move so that I am flanking the one with Yuri. [00:53:44] Speaker A: So. [00:53:46] Speaker C: And that is my turn. [00:53:49] Speaker B: Okay. And that'll bring us to the top of the round with Alistar. [00:53:57] Speaker E: Hey, I'm at the top of the round now. All right. And my next target is dead. So let's go for our flanked. I guess I can't really call him a friend because I'm about to shoot him. [00:54:15] Speaker B: That's fair. [00:54:22] Speaker E: Um, I have a plan, but it's not a very good one. [00:54:31] Speaker B: Okay. [00:54:32] Speaker F: Me making a plan at any time. [00:54:38] Speaker E: Nah. Cause I haven't been paying enough attention to know whether or not a 15 hits. So I'm gonna, like, aim for his, like, hand or something. Let's see if I actually hit him. [00:54:52] Speaker B: That is, unfortunately a miss by one. [00:54:56] Speaker F: Aim for his kneecaps. Doesn't work. [00:54:59] Speaker B: You just right between the legs. [00:55:03] Speaker E: I now know that this was a bad plan. And I take my third action to reload. I have learned a thing. [00:55:14] Speaker B: Yes. It's the life of being a detective learning. So, yeah, we got Mothman. Moth mom is going to take a step forward, move in with this ghoul over here. We're gonna do a flurry of blows. And so we'll do two fist strikes. So an 18 and a 20. These will both hit. We'll do. We'll see what we need after that. All right, the ghoul is still standing, so, um, we're gonna do. [00:56:12] Speaker F: Ew. [00:56:16] Speaker B: We'll do one more attack. Nope. And that'll bring us to Niall. [00:56:27] Speaker F: Honestly, it looks like Lou needs help more than everyone. This one ghoul has three people on him, and then Lou is fighting for her life over here. So I'm just gonna. [00:56:38] Speaker B: Can I. [00:56:38] Speaker F: If I'm behind Lou, can I shoot the ghoul in front of her by just, like, leaning over and being like, hey, move, please. [00:56:44] Speaker B: Yes. [00:56:45] Speaker F: Okay, so I'm gonna go right behind Lou and I'm just gonna gently tap her shoulder and gently get her to move to the side. And then I'm gonna needle dart the one directly in front of her. [00:56:54] Speaker B: It is the start of a new day. You do have all of your spell slots. [00:56:58] Speaker F: I know, but the thing is, in terms of spell slot damage, the one that does more damage or is more efficient might just not do damage to ghouls because it's like the necrotic void damage stuff. [00:57:09] Speaker B: And the other one just eggshot would. I mean, two D six is pretty good. Yeah. [00:57:14] Speaker F: Needle thoughts is three d four, which is also pretty good. [00:57:18] Speaker B: Concordant choir damage. You can. [00:57:26] Speaker F: Honestly, if it works, don't break it. You know, like, if ain't broke, don't fix it. [00:57:35] Speaker B: I just thought I'd remind you that you started a new day. You've got all your spell slots. [00:57:40] Speaker F: I know. I have more spell slots. These guys don't seem to have a lot of health. I don't want to use something that like, dehabilitates them. Like it's easier for you. Just do the little stab from the eye, you know? That's not gonna hit. That's a 14. [00:57:58] Speaker B: Yeah, 14 is not gonna hit. [00:58:00] Speaker F: Oh, frowny face. I'm just gonna apologize to like. Oh, sorry, I missed. [00:58:06] Speaker A: It's okay, you tried. That's all it matters. [00:58:09] Speaker B: Hi, uh, Yuri, is now your turn. [00:58:14] Speaker D: First action. Stand up. [00:58:16] Speaker B: Yes. [00:58:19] Speaker D: Second action. Stab this motherfucker. Uh, that is going to be a 16. [00:58:34] Speaker B: A 16 will hit. [00:58:36] Speaker D: Beautiful. All right, dimash high roll. So that's going to be twelve damage to the one that trucked me. [00:58:44] Speaker B: Yeah. You will take that one out. Leaving just one ghoul on the board. And you still have one more action. [00:58:53] Speaker D: Great. Eurudo is kind of mad, so they're not thinking totally straight. So we're gonna roll again. Oh, that's a. [00:59:01] Speaker B: That's a 1718 will hit. [00:59:07] Speaker D: Yeah, because it's the one I told everyone to kill. Better. So I'm following my own advice for seven more damage. [00:59:24] Speaker B: It is still standing. [00:59:27] Speaker D: Fuck. Does fire damage do anything to them? Are they weak to fire damage? [00:59:33] Speaker B: No, they are not more weak than anything else to fire damage. [00:59:37] Speaker D: Got you. Okay. [00:59:39] Speaker B: They're as weak as a creature with flesh is to fire damage. [00:59:44] Speaker D: I mean, I'm pretty weak to fire damage. Fair enough. Fair enough. [00:59:54] Speaker B: And they'll bring us to Lou. [00:59:56] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. We've only got one left. Okay. Then I'm going to stab it because I've already exploited it, right? This is the one I exploited last time, right? [01:00:12] Speaker B: Yes. Okay. [01:00:14] Speaker A: Bueno. Um. Oh, that was almost really good. But that is going to be. [01:00:30] Speaker B: 1717. Will hit. [01:00:34] Speaker A: Marvelous. She's going to stab it with her rapier, lunge forward with a little thrust while ringing her little bell in a little fancy figure eight. And that is going to be whatever the rapier damage does. So hold on, let me. What is that, a d four? No, it's a d six. Okay, okay, that's fine. No matter. I can fix it. So it's going to be one plus four. No, sorry. Hang on. Five. So six damage? [01:01:20] Speaker B: Yeah, it's still a pretty decent number. It is still standing. [01:01:26] Speaker A: I miss Doomie. Gonna roll it again. [01:01:31] Speaker B: Yeah. I believe we have crossed the 1 hour mark. So you have a hero point again. [01:01:37] Speaker A: Thank heavens. I'm gonna use it, Dan. I don't know why I bothered striking twice. There's no point because all of my bonus to strike is gone if I strike again. I didn't realize this character needed strength. I thought that was the dumpstead. It's not. You need it. You need it. Apparently. So, um, I'm going to. Who's after me? Who's next? Who's after me besides the ghoul? [01:02:16] Speaker C: Me. [01:02:17] Speaker A: You. [01:02:18] Speaker F: Ah, the gays. [01:02:19] Speaker A: Okay, um, I am going to look at you and throw you the little bundle of potpourri and say, please, just kill it. And then gonna cast guidance. [01:02:39] Speaker B: All right, so it is now this school's turn. Gonna use their first action to scuttle over, second action to consume flesh. [01:02:52] Speaker A: Stop that. [01:02:53] Speaker F: Stop committing cannon. How come the enemies get to commit cannibals but I don't? Give me a dead human body to eat, Bob. [01:03:01] Speaker B: And then you'll get your chance. And then it's gonna make a cloth strike at Yuri. [01:03:09] Speaker D: Not for a 15. Cannibalism remarks that fail miss. [01:03:15] Speaker B: Fail miss. Yes. No. And that'll bring us to life. [01:03:21] Speaker C: Laith will shout over to Lou, am I supposed to do something with this? About the potpourri? [01:03:30] Speaker A: Just do the thing. It'll be fine. [01:03:34] Speaker C: Okay, then she's going to attempt to. Does it count as being off balance right now for flanking or. No, because we're not diagonals. [01:03:45] Speaker B: Uh, it does not count because you're not like, yeah, diagonal or. [01:03:50] Speaker C: Okay, cool. So I am going to faint and then attempt to stab them. So that is a 25 on the feint against their perception, I think. [01:04:09] Speaker B: Yeah, that's the. That is definitely a critical success. [01:04:14] Speaker C: Hey, off guard against all melee attacks. And then I will do the stabbing sort of awkwardly. I think she sort of what is the potpourri in? Is it in, like, a little sachet or. [01:04:29] Speaker A: Yeah, I kind of imagined one of those little, like, sachet things that you. The little, like, mesh baggies that you put your necklaces in. [01:04:39] Speaker C: She opens the bag, like, dips her dagger, which is covered in some, like, ghoul leavings into it briefly, and then attempts to stab the ghoul. Is it nat 20? [01:04:54] Speaker B: Yeah. We could write you a card as well as you. That is a critical success, actually. That is triple damage because you got the card skewered. [01:05:20] Speaker F: I think. I think that ghoul is a little bit dead, potentially. [01:05:28] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, sorry. So that's 18, then? Yeah, hopefully. [01:05:31] Speaker B: No, it is very dead from 18 damage as the final ghoul falls. All in all, this confrontation has taken less than 30 seconds, if you really think about it, because it was only three rounds of combat, so it was about 25 to 30 seconds. So you're able to sort of take these ghouls down and keep moving the eye. Indigo, the tarot shop, is directly in front of you. The door is locked. [01:06:15] Speaker C: Laith will. I think that Alistair can also pick locks. So Laith will look over to him and say, did you want to get it or shall I? [01:06:29] Speaker E: I think you have it. [01:06:32] Speaker C: Okay. I will attempt to lockpick. That's thievery, right? [01:06:42] Speaker B: Yes. [01:06:43] Speaker C: That is a dirty 20. [01:06:46] Speaker B: Yeah. That is enough to open the door. And do you just sort of push it open? You don't notice any kind of traps or anything on it? [01:07:00] Speaker C: Yeah, if I don't notice any traps, sort of push it open a little bit, like, maybe pause for a second, listen to hear if I can hear anything inside the building. And if not, open it the rest of the way. [01:07:11] Speaker B: Yeah. As you open and look in, sort of the I. Indigo was tarot shop that sold tea and things like that. So you see the counter where wares and things are. Behind there is a small box sitting on the counter, but around there are pillows and cushions that are meant for people to lounge about and drink tea and have their cards read. If it weren't so dusty, this place would smell very, very nice. But there's that sort of lingering smell of spices and herbs and different things underneath all of the dust. [01:08:00] Speaker A: Are there multiple rooms or is it just the front room? [01:08:04] Speaker B: This is the front room. And then there looks to be a storeroom and there looks to be stairs up. [01:08:11] Speaker D: Um, irido looks at everyone, but mainly loon. Just. We should try to get out of here quick. I will sweep upstairs. You, you, any of you are in danger. Just yell. I'll do the same. [01:08:33] Speaker A: All right, I will track the goals. [01:08:38] Speaker D: Yes, but we're already in danger. [01:08:42] Speaker F: I guess we can be in more danger. You're right. [01:08:47] Speaker A: Well, it is better to be in danger altogether than it is to be in danger on our own. [01:08:54] Speaker F: Um, I don't mind sticking in pairs and going with someone. Tarot cards aren't really my thing. [01:09:01] Speaker D: Can the boat come with me? [01:09:03] Speaker F: Oh, okay. [01:09:05] Speaker A: I'll, um, I will check into the back room. [01:09:10] Speaker E: I will go with you since we're splitting up, apparently. [01:09:17] Speaker C: Yeah. Come on, gang. [01:09:18] Speaker F: Let's split up. Scooby doo. [01:09:20] Speaker A: Sky. [01:09:21] Speaker C: Laithe was waiting for Yuri to start going upstairs before she offered to go with Lou, but she's been cockblocked by alistair, so she just looks at gravewing and says, we can look around here, I guess. [01:09:35] Speaker B: Gravewing mumbles something that's just like, you know, sounds good. [01:09:44] Speaker F: I'm gay, says Gravewyn. And awky can't stop me from saying that. [01:09:51] Speaker B: So I'll start with people who are sort of searching Laithe and gravewing who are searching these sort of first area. You. You know, there's, there's all of these very beautiful, nice cushions and pillows around. If you cleaned them off and gave them a nice wash, they'd probably be fine. There is a small box on the counter. It is probably like yay big. Kind of a very, very like a package. [01:10:27] Speaker C: Do I see a note or any traps? [01:10:31] Speaker B: Yeah, there is a note folded on top of it. [01:10:35] Speaker C: Is the note dusty? Like this has also been here for five years? Or does this seem newer? [01:10:40] Speaker B: It is dusty. [01:10:41] Speaker C: Okay, I would like to read the note, please. [01:10:47] Speaker B: So you unfold the note and this very nice handwriting. It says, I hope whatever's in here serves you better than it did me. Maybe one day the deck will find its way back to me. And it's just signed with the initial a. [01:11:18] Speaker C: I will carefully open the package, please. [01:11:26] Speaker B: As you open this, you first sort of see a harrow carrying case. It is beautiful. It looks handmade with love with these images of the constellations and the sun and moon embossed into it. [01:11:50] Speaker C: And what do I know about Herod X? It's just like something that people use for fortune telling. Or are there other. [01:11:58] Speaker B: Give me an occultism role. And sort of as you're there, like looking at it, you can sort of smell the. Like the case itself seems to radiate the smell of flowers. [01:12:21] Speaker C: Yeah, that's a hot seven on the occultism. [01:12:25] Speaker B: Yeah. No, people do harrow to tell fortunes, you know, it's what they do. You know, you've probably had a harrow reading done for you before. [01:12:36] Speaker A: Great. [01:12:37] Speaker C: Well, I mean, I know that Lou is trying to collect things, so maybe she'll be interested in it. So I will go ahead and pocket that. [01:12:53] Speaker B: Yeah. And behind the counter you sort of see there are herbs and teas all put into jars and things like that. Some of them will probably still be okay after all of this time, especially if the jar was sealed properly. [01:13:13] Speaker C: Yeah, I think she starts just sort of going through them smell like opening the jars and smelling to see if they have any smell left and if they might be worth taking. And any of them that she deems good enough, she will sort of put it onto the counter to bring with us. [01:13:29] Speaker B: Yeah. Do you want to try and take any of the nice cushions or pillows or anything just to spruce up your new hidey hole? [01:13:39] Speaker C: I mean, we're staying in the manor right now and I assume that the senator had some nice cushions, but if there's a particularly nice one. Yeah, because, I don't know, there's some. [01:13:51] Speaker B: Blankets and stuff you can take as well that are fancier. We'll say Helena had a lot of money, but she was not one to indulge in the fancy things of life. [01:14:04] Speaker C: Oh, well, if she was sort of austere, then Laithe is absolutely grabbing the nicest blankets and pillows. And also, I don't know, I'm sharing a bed with gravewing now. And maybe she wants to build a no homo pillow wall. Laith doesn't need that. [01:14:18] Speaker B: But that's a question for Aki. Bother Aki Miller, vacation on a pillow wall. So, yeah, you do that and I'm going to move to Alistair and Leith in sort of this storeroom. As you open up, you see more boxes of what we're teas and herbs. There are candles, there are various other sundries for like an occult shop would have. There are a small couple of occult books on reading Harrow and what harrow means. [01:15:09] Speaker A: I am grabbing all of the books. Maybe not all of them. If there are copies, obviously I only need one of each. But if they have the harrow reading books and the occult books, especially any of those books, I want them. [01:15:30] Speaker B: Yeah, there are. I will say there's like three or four books that are specifically on harrow. What it. What its meanings are and its various readings. [01:15:43] Speaker A: Excellent. Oh, and candles. [01:15:45] Speaker B: You said candles. Yes. [01:15:49] Speaker A: You should also grab the candles because one never knows when you need some light. And also wax has so many different uses and sometimes I just like to have candles. So we should grab extra so I can have at least four. [01:16:07] Speaker E: I'll carry the candles. We'll have to figure out a system for, like, trading off books. I want to read these, too. [01:16:19] Speaker A: Oh, I would love to share some with you. [01:16:22] Speaker B: Book club. [01:16:23] Speaker A: Yes. We can have a book club. I know we're not a roommate. You are welcome to come visit the room anytime and we can read the books together. [01:16:31] Speaker F: I'm all for that. I don't want the rat in my room. [01:16:34] Speaker A: You're not back here. [01:16:36] Speaker F: I will kick the rat out. [01:16:38] Speaker A: I'm just. [01:16:41] Speaker B: Yeah. Um, also, if you want to give me perception checks to see if you notice anything else in the room. [01:16:47] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm scared. I do have. That's odd. Is there anything weird in the room? Wow. [01:16:55] Speaker A: I got an at 20, but I don't think I need it because we have Alice there. [01:17:02] Speaker B: That's weird. We'll just tell you if there is something. It's not going to point out specific things. So there's nothing that would ping you. This is weird. There are no hidden passages or items that are hidden. But you do 27. 27 for the next one. You do find in between some of the books what looks to be a handwritten journal. [01:17:36] Speaker A: These are the best ones. What is it about? Is it just a journal or is it something specific? [01:17:43] Speaker B: It seems to be partially the shop's logbook in a way. But there are also journal entries from the person who owned the shop. Sort of about readings she has done what they may or may not mean. If you look at the more recent ones, she has a lot of readings that are bad, that say bad things are coming. And one of the last journaling she is there is. She's one of actually the first people to leave the district before any of this is called for, just because the cards were telling her to get out. There's also more in it. You just got to spend more time on it. But it's. And this is a very beautiful. Like someone handbound. This journal. [01:18:37] Speaker A: Is there any, like, lemnuts or anything in it? Anything spicy? [01:18:44] Speaker B: Anything? Yeah, it's a. There are. Between some of the pages, there are letters from the woman and her partner. They ran the shop together. I don't think you came to this district very often, but not anything incredibly spicy or anything. But it's nice. Little love notes between the two of them. [01:19:18] Speaker A: Beautiful. I will obviously share my findings with Alistair. [01:19:25] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:19:27] Speaker E: I'm like, reading over your. Under your shoulder, I guess. [01:19:32] Speaker A: Oh, I can cry out is better. I'll drop to your height. [01:19:38] Speaker B: The two names you pick up from this book are Alina and Korina. [01:19:50] Speaker A: Oh, really? Interesting. [01:19:51] Speaker B: Interesting, yeah, interesting. [01:19:55] Speaker A: Cool. Interesting. We love an epilogue. [01:20:01] Speaker B: Yeah. So, yeah, you pick those up. You have that, and then I will move to Eurydo and Niall. Heading upstairs. There's a door at the top of the stairs. It is not locked, and if you open it, it opens into sort of a smaller apartment above the shop. It has a small little kitchen area and a bathroom and a small bedroom. Most personal effects are gone from here. There might be things. If you're looking. What might you be looking for? If you want to look for specific things, I will need perception checks. [01:20:47] Speaker D: I will point out to Niall, a chef. There's a maybe rate for more spices. [01:20:53] Speaker F: You could say spices in a bookshop. [01:20:57] Speaker D: They have a kitchen. [01:21:01] Speaker F: I guess I can give it a look. [01:21:07] Speaker D: And Eurudo would look for, um. Some, like, would look for something secret, something that was, like, hidden away, if they even have anything, but just, you know, snooping. [01:21:31] Speaker F: Give me the. Give me the weed. Dm. [01:21:33] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:21:34] Speaker F: Fucking spices. [01:21:36] Speaker B: There's bice there. There are some spices. They're not a lot. Most. The majority of us up is downstairs. [01:21:41] Speaker F: Oh, there's nothing much interesting. There's a couple of spices. [01:21:47] Speaker B: Both of you give me perception checks. [01:21:49] Speaker F: Okay. [01:21:55] Speaker D: That is 24 for me. [01:21:59] Speaker B: All right. [01:22:01] Speaker A: That's a nat 20. [01:22:03] Speaker F: And for what? Hey, I can see everything in this room that I don't want to. [01:22:08] Speaker D: Beautiful. Find your secret salt. [01:22:17] Speaker B: Niall. As you're looking through the things in the kitchen, you're opening cabinets, drawers, and one thing stands out to you. There's a very, very nice, ornate wooden teaspoon in one of the drawers. [01:22:37] Speaker F: Oh, I will take out the nice, ornate wooden teaspoon. Does it seem like, does it just seem pretty, or does it seem like taro shop curse? [01:22:52] Speaker B: Do you want to make any kind of. Do you have. Detect magic? [01:22:57] Speaker F: Detect magic? No, but I have. Like, I have. I have occultism checks and stuff like that. I can make an occultism check. [01:23:10] Speaker B: Sure, if you want to make an occultism check. [01:23:13] Speaker F: I can read the cult enos of this spoon on a scale of one to 27. If I had to put the number I rolled, on a scale of one to 27, it would be a 1212. [01:23:30] Speaker B: You think there's something special about this thing and you're unsure of what it is. You do notice that into the sort of, like, the end of the teaspoon is carved the symbol of the fox for good luck. [01:23:48] Speaker F: Oh, yeah. I will take my teaspoon that I have gotten from the kitchen. I will go and show Yuri and be like, look, it's a measuring spoon. It's quite intricate. [01:24:01] Speaker D: It's very. It looks very ornate. [01:24:06] Speaker F: Mm hmm. [01:24:07] Speaker D: If you want to keep it, don't show it to Lou. [01:24:11] Speaker F: Why not? [01:24:13] Speaker D: Because she'll want it. [01:24:15] Speaker F: Well, she can't have it. [01:24:16] Speaker D: I understand. I'm just letting you know that. [01:24:19] Speaker F: Now, does she not understood. Does she not understand the word? No? [01:24:24] Speaker D: No, she does, but you do not understand the links. Her curiosity will take her. [01:24:31] Speaker F: Does she not believe in consent? [01:24:33] Speaker D: Like, I'm just saying, just, you know. Or, like, show her, and then she'll give it back to you after about a week. [01:24:43] Speaker F: Oh, I'm not going to let her keep it for a week. [01:24:45] Speaker A: I'll just see. [01:24:47] Speaker D: Exactly. I'm telling you this now, so, you know. [01:24:50] Speaker F: So you want me to. [01:24:51] Speaker D: You're rooming with her, so you want. [01:24:53] Speaker F: Me to lie and keep secrets from her? [01:24:57] Speaker D: Look, let's sing that. I'm just saying. [01:25:06] Speaker F: Is she a hoarder? [01:25:10] Speaker D: Yeah. Though she finds intricacies of everything that no one else could see, and she finds them deeply fascinated. [01:25:26] Speaker F: Well, she's going to learn something about the world. It's called. No. [01:25:31] Speaker D: Oh, don't worry, shorty. She does know. [01:25:34] Speaker F: No, it should be fine, shouldn't it? [01:25:39] Speaker B: Yeah. So, Gyrudo, what did you roll? [01:25:45] Speaker D: 24. [01:25:46] Speaker B: 24. As you're looking around you near where the stove is, you've sort of come across this box, this case, and as you open it up, you see various tinders in it, these woods marked with these different colors. You found a versatile tinder box. Oh, is this. [01:26:12] Speaker D: What would I know about this? [01:26:14] Speaker B: You would know that it holds twigs and strips of wood in a section of six colors. So you've got black, blue, green, magenta, yellow and violet. And when lighting a flame with any of these would alter the flame's color. [01:26:32] Speaker D: Oh, this could be useful. [01:26:35] Speaker B: And the box itself is perfectly carved and constructed to keep everything dry. [01:26:42] Speaker D: Yeah, no, like, I pull it up and say, hey, look at this, in case you need to, like, it will. [01:26:49] Speaker B: Never run out of tinder. [01:26:53] Speaker D: I don't. Maybe. I don't say that part yet, but I'm looking and like, yeah, no, this makes sense to be here. That alters the color of flames, and that could be used for maybe sending signals or something if you want to cook with purple flame. I don't know. [01:27:13] Speaker F: Um, I think signals be best. The color of the flame doesn't really affect the taste. If you do it enough, uh, iron or different metals to it, it might be affecting the taste, but not in a good way. You see. And I'm gonna go on a fucking autism tangent again. You're learning about different fire and cooking and temperatures and stuff like that and how it affects the food and taste with the tinderbox and the different colors. And after like six minutes of you just sitting there listening probably. [01:27:41] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:27:41] Speaker F: Six minutes of you just sitting there listening. She's like, we could certainly get some use out of it. Don't you agree? [01:27:46] Speaker D: Your though would not be standing in the same place for six minutes. This boy have adhd. All right. They're walking around and listening. [01:27:54] Speaker F: I'm just hanging off of you basically, just talking about matches when you're just walking around. It's the adhd autism combo. [01:28:04] Speaker B: But other than these two things, you can grab some spices, you can grab a little bit more canned goods to just sort of add to whatever you've amassed so far. But there doesn't seem to be much else. Most everything else seems like it was taken whenever the owners left. [01:28:23] Speaker C: Mm hmm. [01:28:25] Speaker D: Cool, cool, cool. [01:28:26] Speaker F: I got some beans. I got some more beans. I got a spoon and I got some even more beans and some salt and some beans. [01:28:36] Speaker B: Yep. So you can all reconvene at the sort of in the area. And head is your next stop back to the mansion to figure out your next move. [01:28:47] Speaker C: There is a bookstore as well, right? [01:28:49] Speaker B: Bookstore? Yes, there is a bookstore. It is. It is about a block away. So you'll, you will make a run for it. And yeah, you can sort of just wait for the moment where, you know, there's no patrols or anything going by and just make the run for it and we'll get to whatever's in the bookstore next time. So take that tick. [01:29:08] Speaker F: Thank you, everyone for listening to another wonderful episode of Gups and Gays.
