[00:00:43] Speaker A: Wake me now from this sleep like dreaming dot alone I cannot find meaning hold my hand let me stare by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all these demon tell me in this red light because me he is reaching out consuming. [00:01:28] Speaker B: Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Tyrant of the dark star. I am Aubrey. Here, tom. Different players to introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get into things. [00:01:42] Speaker C: Hi, my name's Aki. Pronouns are she, her, and I am playing gravewing, who is our monk, Kinesis. That's it. That's all you get to know about her. Oh, also uses she her pronouns. [00:02:00] Speaker D: Hi, y'all. I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play laith, idrisi, our dampier, dandy, and rogue. Who you uses, she, any pronouns? [00:02:12] Speaker B: It's me. [00:02:13] Speaker E: Hello, I'm dusty. I use they he pronouns, and I'm playing eurydo, just eurydo for now. They also use they he pronouns, and they are going to be our blood hunter. [00:02:27] Speaker A: Hello, I am ferx. [00:02:29] Speaker F: I use she her pronouns, and I. [00:02:30] Speaker A: Am playing anuatar, the Nephilim, I think is what they're called now, thaumaturge, who also uses she her pronouns. [00:02:42] Speaker G: Hello, I am Sparlock. I use he him pronouns. I am playing Alistair Whiskerfield, the renowned wizard and investigator who uses he him pronouns also. [00:02:56] Speaker F: Hi, I'm Tick. I use heeshide pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, a wonderful flesh warp sorcerer who is definitely not a cannibal at all. Why do you even think that? [00:03:08] Speaker B: So, kick, would you like to tell us what happened last time? [00:03:14] Speaker F: Oh, my God. Last time on this game that we all play on a definite regular basis, we fought some goals. It went, to our knowledge, perfectly fine emphasis. To our knowledge. Some of us got bit. But Aubrey has been very suspiciously saying, you appear to be all right. And I'm not sure if she's just trying to make us anxious or not, but it's working. I'm terrified for my son. We went to a couple of other shops, checked out a few things. I got a cool spoon. That's very important is I got a cool spoon. I had to have a nice talk with Yuri about how Alouette apparently loves to steal things from people and has no self control over her life. But overall, just a lot of chill conversations after fighting for our lives, checking for gold fever, and heading back after looting a tarot shot, more or less. First, a better recap, it's been like two weeks. Trying to remember what happens after two weeks is not my forte. [00:04:05] Speaker B: You're good. So as many things are going on, we'll turn and look at you, graveling. You've gotten all of these things. You've gotten some books from the bookstore, collected some things from the tarot shop, and you have this new friend. Friend. We're gonna go with friend in the hester. Hunder, what are you up to? As this ship is crashing and burning somewhere in the house. [00:04:44] Speaker C: I don't think gravewing has let her guard down the moment this horse sized dog decided to stay with us. Now, I don't remember, not only was I not here for the vote of this dog, of this quotation marks dog, I just need you to know. Gravewing would have been like, no, we're not taking this. This is not just a mouth to feed. Like an additional one. This is a bigger one. This is, three of y'all are vegetarians. We were okay until we said, let's bring in one thing that can eat for the three of you. Awful ideas. So, um, now, gravewing is, uh, kind of stuck. When I say stuck, I mean stuck politely, uh, watching this dog quotations. Um, because, not gonna lie, I think she kind, like, part of her believes that that's just a man in the suit. And she's like, she's waiting for this dog to, like, stop being a dog and start being, I don't know, a demon, maybe pull a yuri and pull a Glock somewhere. You know, just is this dog is, is just girl. I don't even think she's ever run into one. Like, in all her years of life. [00:06:31] Speaker B: You'Ve seen them around because they are incredibly common. Because it's really the only way. Because of the train, of the watching woods. Horses themselves can't get through it because the train is so uneven. So that's kind of why the hester wound there exists and are used here. And you'll see them pulling carts in the city and things like that. [00:06:54] Speaker C: Okay. They're very, very common. [00:06:55] Speaker F: Then. [00:06:56] Speaker B: I see incredibly commonly horses don't exist in this part of the world. It's just horse sized dogs. [00:07:01] Speaker C: It's horse sized dogs. All right. That terrifying. Then, then, well, then she just don't want to, she doesn't necessarily ever wanted to be around one, you know, I mean, like, what, what is the, what is. What is me personally, I also wouldn't like, walk up on an actual horse unless like a trainer or handler is there. It's too big. Simply too big. Can in fact, probably try to kill. I mean, I'd like to see a try, but this is a horse sized dog. It will kill me. It can kill me. And so, and so. Yeah, that's great. Gravewing is watching the dog and waiting for it to stop being a dog. [00:07:48] Speaker F: She's just really. [00:07:49] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, I guess she's just real sus about this dog. [00:07:53] Speaker B: Yeah. And the hester hunder itself is incredibly domesticated and very well trained. This belonged to Helena's retinue, and it was just one of the people who unfortunately just didn't make it out of the district when they left. Uh, so it's very well trained and very docile. Um, you know, it's used to being around people. [00:08:20] Speaker C: Oh, shit. Does it like, come up for pets and stuff? [00:08:24] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah, it would. [00:08:28] Speaker C: All right, nobody else is here. So y'all saw, when I say, you see, I mean, the audience, you guys are gonna see when the dog tries to come over. If, like, gravewing is, for example, let's say, let's say in the living room where there is like, I don't know, tables and stuff, every time it tries to follow her around, she tries to move to the other side of the room. Like, I'm trying. Like, I'm trying to give you your space. [00:08:56] Speaker B: Yeah. It's not in the house, per se. [00:08:59] Speaker C: It's not in the house. [00:09:00] Speaker B: Behind the house. There's like, what is essentially a massive doghouse, which people use to, like, care and house. The hester hunder. [00:09:10] Speaker C: Oh, my goodness. All right, well, I move from one side of the kennel stable to the other side of the kennel stable, trying to give it space. It clearly does not want space. I don't know what it wants. I'm not a dog whisperer. If it wants, if it tries to move its face towards Greywood, you see gravewing curl up and get stuck in a corner. Um, so now it's. Now it's dog versus gravewing. Gravewing. Gravewing doesn't want to fight the dog. That's a lie. Gravewing's ready to fight the dog, but this dog just outsizes her. Eventually it will get. Oh, my God. [00:09:53] Speaker D: No. [00:09:54] Speaker C: Because she's got all that shit on her face. When she, when her face gets licked. It's like, it's, it's like she's. [00:10:01] Speaker F: I'm. [00:10:01] Speaker C: I'm trapped. 1 second. My bracelet got stuck in the. Thank you. My bracelet has a thing and it got stuck in a crevice. So I like gravewing. I was trapped. When the dog licks her face, she goes like, she. She almost yells because she's wearing a mask and, like, her hair is all there, and now that's all slobbered together. The dog is going to win, is all I'm going, is all I'm gonna say. The dog is going to win because, like, when I say graving is ready to beat a dog, like, she's ready, but she doesn't. She really doesn't want to because this dog isn't actually not aggressive. If the dog was, like, was minutely aggressive, we'd be boxing. That's not happening. This dog's winning. She's stuck in a corner for. Maybe that's why you don't see her for the equivalent of 3 hours. Cause she's stuck in a corner. This dog is getting the attention I hope he wants, but she's, like, she's trapped in a corner, not loving it, not hating it. Like, the dog is okay. That's what's happening when come get her. [00:11:29] Speaker B: Yeah, I imagine someone. Someone will. Not my problem. [00:11:39] Speaker A: I mean, I was out there earlier at one point, so I'm sure Elouette would go back at one point eventually just to check on it. [00:11:48] Speaker B: Yeah. Also, Elouette, you eventually go back into your room. Correct. And find the gifts there. There's no note there anymore, but the gifts, I believe, are still there. [00:11:57] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:12:02] Speaker B: And weird, mysterious. Yeah. Where did those come from? [00:12:06] Speaker A: Probably not from the person who was walking out of the room earlier. [00:12:10] Speaker B: Yeah. And then there is the harrow deck itself. [00:12:20] Speaker D: You should also investigate it because laith is bad at magic things. [00:12:24] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. I'm sure it's normal. Is it normal? [00:12:31] Speaker B: I mean, it's a very interesting deck. Give me either a crafting check, an arcana occultism, or nature. [00:12:43] Speaker A: We're gonna go with. I guess it doesn't matter. They're almost all the same. All right, Belle, you're getting retired, so that's gonna be a twelve. [00:12:59] Speaker B: A twelve. [00:13:00] Speaker A: Hope it's not cursed. [00:13:02] Speaker B: Yeah, the deck itself isn't cursed. You're still a little bit unsure about it as you pull it out. The cards themselves are made out of this very thick, beautiful material. You can't quite figure out exactly what they're made of with all of the harrow it etched in them. But it's almost like as you touch this deck, it wants to attune itself to you. And you're pretty sure you could use the cards as throwing knives, even though they don't feel incredibly sharp. [00:13:40] Speaker A: I throw one at the wall. [00:13:43] Speaker B: It's. Give me just a quick. Just attack roll. [00:13:48] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, that's gonna be nice. [00:13:51] Speaker B: It's a wall, so it's not hard to hit. [00:13:55] Speaker A: You say that I rolled an eleven and then I add all of zero, I assume, because I have no strength and no Dex. [00:14:06] Speaker B: I mean, you would still be considered trained in it because it just counts as like, a throwing knife. So you would just use whatever your trained, like, simple weapons are. Okay, so I believe it's like a plus five. Like, eleven is more than enough to. [00:14:21] Speaker A: That's what I add to everything. So 16. [00:14:27] Speaker B: Yeah. And as you do, it sticks into the wall, you know, making this indent. And then just even thinking about the card, like, just focusing on it for a second, causes the card to recall itself to the deck. [00:14:47] Speaker A: Oh, that is. Wow. Explosives. What card did I throw, buddy? By chance, what card did I throw? [00:14:57] Speaker B: Which one was it? You threw the card called the crows. [00:15:05] Speaker D: Is that a bad card? [00:15:07] Speaker B: It is a neutral, evil card. [00:15:14] Speaker A: Totally fine. [00:15:16] Speaker B: But in itself, you weren't necessarily doing a harrow reading at that time. [00:15:23] Speaker A: I am sure this does not bode poorly for our relationship going forward. Deck. I like that you are sharp, though. That is cool. [00:15:36] Speaker B: And if you even like once it is attuned to you, even if you just think about a reading, you will watch as the deck starts to shuffle itself. Sunk. [00:15:47] Speaker A: Heavens. [00:15:47] Speaker B: I am bad at shuffling and then is going to play a cartoon. And if I could get you to just roll me a d. 100. [00:16:01] Speaker A: Oh, fancy. 1111. No, wait, 17. Sorry, it looked like a 111. [00:16:17] Speaker B: 17. See? 17. Okay, so you. The card that is dealt to you is the unicorn. It is a chaotic good card of charisma, and it represents one who generously offers up which is sought. And you have the feeling that you can do this once per day. And based on the card, you get a once per day ability. Because this is a good card. Once per day, you can use this card before you roll to add plus ten to your roll. You have to declare it before you roll. And I will just go through the rules itself. I'm kind of borrowing some from the bestow Curse podcast, which does some really fun Haro rules. You should check them out. I am putting my own spin on theirs. And the card you pull is a neutral card. It acts like an extra hero point. You would, but this one, you roll and you would take the higher no matter what. So if you roll and your roll is lower, you'll still take your first roll. [00:17:52] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. Okay. [00:17:53] Speaker B: Interesting. And then there is the evil cards, and they still work for you in some way because you can take an evil card, and then before, once per day, you can do this. You can cause me to have to roll twice and take the lower on something cool. [00:18:25] Speaker A: Cool. That's very cool. [00:18:28] Speaker B: And I will write all of these out and put them into the chat. [00:18:32] Speaker A: Melissa, you gave me such a cool thing. Is Lou about to become a tarot card, Curly? I think so. I think she has to. [00:18:45] Speaker B: And mechanically, the deck, it acts like just throwing knives with the returning rune. [00:18:54] Speaker A: That's awesome. I think Lou is going to. [00:19:07] Speaker F: Hold. [00:19:07] Speaker A: On to the cards and think about them a lot, because the knife thing is really ruminating in her brain because she rings bells and makes up stuff 90% of the time. But she does know someone who is good with a knife. She'll also check out the other gift, too. [00:19:38] Speaker B: Which was. [00:19:39] Speaker A: I think it was the cantrip deck, right? [00:19:41] Speaker B: Cantrip deck? [00:19:42] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:19:50] Speaker B: You have a cantrip deck, and you've got this tarot deck. [00:19:57] Speaker A: She is going to. After she investigates the cantrip deck. It is a full deck, right? I thought we said. Yeah. [00:20:06] Speaker D: Okay. [00:20:07] Speaker A: She is going to pick five cards out of the deck at random and then go to Latham grave wings room and peek in to see if. I guess she's gonna knock first and then peek in to see if anyone's there. [00:20:26] Speaker B: Is anyone there? [00:20:29] Speaker D: I think that Laithe is there, buried under all of the pillows and blankets that they brought back from the tea house, sort of melting in embarrassment and sadness. But on hearing the knock on the door, she'll say, yeah, it's open. [00:20:51] Speaker A: Lou's gonna panic, and she's gonna open the door and then close the door and then slide the cards underneath and run. [00:21:06] Speaker D: Craveling. What? And I think that Laith Lake gets out of her little solitude sadness bunk and sees the cards and takes it as a rejection, because those were a gift to Alouette. And so she's assuming that Lou knew that Leif gave them to her and is returning them now because we're nothing more than strangers, so why would I give her gifts? And so she picks up the cards, and I assume there's a bedside table. It just throws them in the bedside table and goes back into her little cave. [00:21:51] Speaker A: Does she notice it's only five of them and not the whole deck? [00:21:56] Speaker D: I mean, I think she probably notices, but isn't, like, registering fully. [00:22:02] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, that's fine. Just thought of task. [00:22:05] Speaker F: Yeah, that would get in the way of the gay misunderstanding. You go out here, you know. [00:22:13] Speaker A: I mean, how else? What are you supposed to say to someone? You just clearly had an awkward conversation with here. I thought of you and I thought you'd like this. I didn't know it came from you. Sure, that would be fine. [00:22:33] Speaker B: Yeah. Well, it's coming to the end of your first day in this house. I imagine now that you have much better provisions, Niall can make some actual food for you. [00:22:49] Speaker F: Oh, hell yeah. I'd like to cook some actual food, please. [00:22:53] Speaker B: Sure. Give me a crafting check. [00:22:59] Speaker F: Roll 20. Let me log in, please. Hash, sponsored by. Roll 20, hashtag base. Okay, I'm gonna roll the dice and then add the number to it. Okay, let's see. That is. I have to lift this dice. Jesus Christ. I'm getting really fucking good rolls on dice that, like. I guess the dice have decided niall can't actually cook. That's a 19 on the dice, plus whatever the fuck my number is. Give me a sec. It's gonna be high. This is gonna be a pristine dish. Um, plus one and then plus. So that is a total of. For crafting. That's a 27. [00:23:43] Speaker B: Uh, 27. [00:23:44] Speaker F: I'd be cooking. I'd be cooking real. [00:23:47] Speaker B: You make something that is very good. Some nice out of veggies. You're. You have to. Not really. You've got pickled fish for a meat. [00:24:03] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:24:04] Speaker B: Yeah. But you do have quite a bit of, like, preserved vegetables, pickled vegetables, things like that. Everybody can have fun and have a pickled egg. [00:24:14] Speaker F: Ooh, fancy. Yeah, it all pairs really well. It's got a nice aroma of flavors. All the seasonings were definitely used because you gotta make it taste good. You know, this food got seasoning in it. You guys are living in luxury. [00:24:29] Speaker B: So much salt. [00:24:31] Speaker F: Not too much salt. There's a perfect amount of salt. You know, and, uh, most of the. [00:24:35] Speaker B: Vegetables and things like that are preserved in salt. [00:24:38] Speaker F: Okay. Yeah. And, like, you know, the rest will help. Not unsalted, but just absorb some of that flavor so it's not too, too potent. Uh, hash cooking stuff. And everyone will get a nice big bowl of vegetables and rice with a nice, like, egg in it, cut up so that it's kind of like a nice mix. And then mothlong is also fish in it because quite frankly, we get to eat fish. I'll feed the dog too, I guess. [00:25:05] Speaker G: Really quickly. What's a roll to check to see whether it's people? [00:25:10] Speaker F: There's no people. You fucking bitch. [00:25:14] Speaker A: I don't know. That one guy went away into the alley and we never saw what happened to the body. [00:25:22] Speaker B: Reception. [00:25:23] Speaker G: Yeah, that's a 20 on the cannibalism check. [00:25:26] Speaker B: Yeah, this is literally, the pickled fish that you found at the bar earlier. [00:25:32] Speaker G: Awesome. So Alistair will give it a slightly concerned look and then taste it and do that thing that they do in anime where they have the food porn moments. [00:25:50] Speaker B: So now seems as good of time as any for you to start discussing plans. There are a few places that you can continue to check out. There is a smithy that you can probably check out tomorrow, but for the most part, like anything else is just residentials. Or there's also the wizard's tower, but yet again, no one's been able to get in that in 100 years, so. Yeah. And you do know that the talus manor is where your investigation should probably start because, you know, reasons. [00:26:40] Speaker A: Remind me, the talismanor is where the guy who started the ghoul fever lives. Allegedly. Allegedly started the ghoul fever. And that is where he lives. [00:26:51] Speaker B: Yes, he did have. He worked at. He was the alchemy professor at Ravenswood Academy for a very long time, until about five years ago. He also worked for the holy blood. And, yeah, this is where his family manner is. [00:27:10] Speaker A: And our thought process or instructions from Helena maybe were that if we get rid of or deal with him in some manner, that will solve the ghoul fever and then we can leave the district. Is that what the. Is that the reasoning why we are bothering with him? [00:27:30] Speaker B: Yeah, pretty much. If you stop it, the ghoul epidemic will stop. One of you has already encountered somebody who's come up with a cure for it. You just got to get to them. But currently, because there's so much ghoul activity in this district, it has been quarantined for several years. And so pretty much there's like, no, no, easy in or out, most places are like, watched just in case the ghouls try to make a break for it. [00:28:05] Speaker E: I think after dinner and all that, you're, though, looks around, mainly focusing on graveling, since they seem to be the other person that one knows the area and two has the most initiative about stuff in their head. It's like, so I want to get out of this place and go back home. Should we figure out. Go to that one place, allegedly the person started this, find whatever we could do to stop this and leave. [00:28:42] Speaker C: I think. I think gravewing, who's not gonna lie, full of soup, will get full of soup, will add a nod, finish what's in her mouth, and then go. Yep, that's the plan. [00:29:10] Speaker D: Does anyone know anything about this talos? I mean, he was a professor at the Ravenswood academy, but he's been gone for quite some time. [00:29:24] Speaker G: Can I get a history check for an info dump? Because I expect I remember quite a bit. [00:29:31] Speaker B: Yeah, if you want to give me a society check, I'm gonna be honest. [00:29:36] Speaker F: I have absolutely nothing. [00:29:41] Speaker B: Or if you have academic lore. [00:29:49] Speaker C: Can anybody make the society check? [00:29:52] Speaker B: Yeah, I'd say anyone can make a society check. [00:29:54] Speaker C: Cool. [00:29:56] Speaker B: And this is specifically for any information about Talus himself. Okay. [00:30:03] Speaker D: Or, I mean, that's what I asked. I don't know. If other people have other things, they might know better. Also, I apparently asked that question so that I could be cool and info dump about it. Cause I got a 21. [00:30:20] Speaker A: I got a 19. [00:30:25] Speaker G: I rolled. Privacy. I can't talk today. Privately. On the VTT. [00:30:32] Speaker B: Yep. [00:30:35] Speaker C: I got, like, a twelve, so I don't. I don't think Raywing knows it. [00:30:39] Speaker E: Hey, I got a six. [00:30:43] Speaker B: You've heard the name before because of your run ins with things like the holy blood. The name is familiar to you, but, yeah, literally all the rest of the three of you rolled within, like, one number of each other, so, yeah, you all kind of know a little bit. Osmotalis. Holy blood alchemy. Professor at Ravenswood Academy is kind of the reason why helped the holy blood develop the tonics they use to monster hunt. He is responsible for many alchemical breakthroughs in the last couple hundred years. I guess he technically would be an elf. Nephilim now, because that's changed. Um, and see what other information laith collects. Rumors and things like that, right? [00:31:55] Speaker D: Yeah, she sure does. [00:31:57] Speaker B: Yeah. So. So, Laith, you. You've probably. You heard some rumors and things like that about a, uh. Um. About a thing that happened literally right before, uh, talos went missing of. There was a student at Ravenswood Academy. I think the name was Juniper. And then they went missing, and then they were found a couple of days later, and they were one of, like, talus's. One of his. It was a student that he was mentoring and helping with, and then she kind of literally the next day, after coming back from whatever this is, left Ravenswood Academy and then went and joined the clockwork union. [00:32:56] Speaker D: I mean, it's good that he's not at the academy anymore since one of his students went missing and then quit. But that doesn't tell me anything about where he is now or what he's doing. [00:33:17] Speaker B: Yeah, as far as anybody knows, he is on sabbatical somewhere. [00:33:24] Speaker D: So, like, we would assume that he's not at his house and he's traveling, or. We just don't know. He's just not at the academy. [00:33:33] Speaker B: He is not at the academy. Uh, no one knows where he is, but it's a house here. And here is the heart of the gulf fever epidemic. [00:33:48] Speaker F: No harm in paying a visit, then. [00:33:51] Speaker D: I mean, I must say, if I was going to unleash a plague on the city, I wouldn't center it around my home. But to each their own. [00:33:58] Speaker F: I guess it could have been an accident. [00:34:05] Speaker G: Or maybe he controls them. They're his army. [00:34:12] Speaker E: Now, that seems like you're putting on some kind of metal hat to protect your brain from conspiracies or danger. [00:34:22] Speaker B: Does that help? [00:34:25] Speaker E: So even if they're not there at their home, uh, maybe we could find something to stop this. [00:34:35] Speaker G: Yes, yes, let's investigate him. I think this is a good way to go. [00:34:42] Speaker E: I mean, we got the greatest detective in the city here, so we probably find something. [00:34:50] Speaker F: Oh, Yuri, do you want to try going to the smithy first? I know you need stuff from there in case we get into an altercation. [00:34:58] Speaker E: Well, thankfully found some ammo and bullets on this body here. Very convenient. But if it's the gun, so we should be good. I'd rather not set off a very loud kiln while we're still surrounded by a bunch of things that, you know. The bite was pretty nasty. [00:35:22] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:35:26] Speaker D: I mean, if Talus does control the ghouls, then maybe you should set something off at the forge and the rest of us can visit the house while they're distracted with you. [00:35:36] Speaker F: Let's not use each other as decoys. [00:35:38] Speaker A: My bones like that plan. [00:35:42] Speaker C: I mean, it's not like it's a bad plan. The only thing we need to do is confirm if the ghouls are being used in that manner. I would definitely say not to rule it out, though. [00:35:54] Speaker G: They are very regular for ghouls. [00:35:58] Speaker A: You mean the way they walk through the city? Were those, like, patrolling patterns, or were they just sort of. We found when they were not going, and then we went. [00:36:17] Speaker C: Could I make a roll for that? I feel like I know what patrolling patterns look like. [00:36:23] Speaker B: Um, yeah, give me a. What. What specific lores do you have again? [00:36:28] Speaker C: Um, let me double check. I think I have. I might have warfare, but. Yeah, I do have warfare. [00:36:34] Speaker B: Give me a warfare lore. Roll 1616. So, yeah, you. Yeah, there is a bit of a weird thing where sometimes their patterns are. If you would think they were mindless beings without something controlling them, their patterns would be a lot more random, especially these last few. This last day, you've been able to see enough of their patrols and how they move, where it's weird. It doesn't seem like it's 100%, but not direct control, but they seem to have almost set paths. [00:37:29] Speaker C: I think when you mention that. Gravewing, thanks for a bit. And it goes, huh? Actually, they do kind of look like patrolling patterns. They even meet up in little groups. [00:37:47] Speaker F: So, Miss graveling, I do have a question. [00:37:52] Speaker C: Miss? Yeah. [00:37:54] Speaker F: Do you think, if we are on the hypothesis that someone is controlling these ghouls, do we think that our altercation with them earlier has given them knowledge that we are in the city? [00:38:12] Speaker C: We did kill all of them, so. [00:38:18] Speaker F: There'S a chance we might need to hurry if we're suspecting that they know we're here now and we have limited places where we could stay safely, I. [00:38:27] Speaker C: Would say on the fact that we killed all of them. [00:38:31] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:38:32] Speaker C: That if they are patrolling, another one's gonna come by and find it real quick. Probably already has. [00:38:40] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:38:41] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:38:42] Speaker G: They think perhaps we should purposefully waylay another one of the groups that's not. Well, I guess we would have to tag one to know, like, what group wasn't on patrol in our area. [00:39:03] Speaker F: It also depends on what level of control. Like, telling, like, an undead monster to do something is different from, like, oh, I'm bad at phrasing these types of thoughts, but you know what? If you control every single piece individually, like, if you have your fingers and you control them, like, your fingers, you'll tell when a finger gets cut off immediately. Compared to, like, a puppet, compared to. If you have a rolling toy that you wind up and you send it off to do something and one of your other rolling toys brings it back. We're not sure if it's like, fingers or if it's like, a rolling toy. That didn't make much sense, did it? [00:39:49] Speaker G: That made perfect sense. But I had some really weird mental images of, like, fidget toys, and fingers I was stuck in for a minute, but it really does. [00:40:03] Speaker E: You think they're accountable? [00:40:04] Speaker F: Yeah. I'm just worried that depending on how in depth and how particular the control is, perhaps if they could even, say, see through the eyes of the, they will know a lot more about us than we'd like. But that's probably very fine tuned. I'd assume it's more like fingers. [00:40:21] Speaker A: Is there a way that we can find out? [00:40:25] Speaker F: I don't know. I'm not good at magic. Oh, wait. I am. I'm kind of okay. [00:40:29] Speaker A: That's why I'm asking you. [00:40:32] Speaker B: If it helps. You would at least know that Talos is an alchemist. [00:40:37] Speaker F: I know a little bit of cooking, but that's. [00:40:40] Speaker B: Talus is an alchemist. They're not a wizard, they're not a sorcerer. You know, they feel in science, not. [00:40:51] Speaker G: Even if they did have some control, it would be like. Yeah, like mind control drugs. Not like crying. [00:41:02] Speaker B: Yeah, I'd say it's a good. It's a good assumption to go that he can't see through their eyes. [00:41:07] Speaker F: Okay, perhaps like the queen of a beehive, then. Chemicals are what bees work with, after all. So maybe he is something that's like queen of the beehive, but instead of. [00:41:18] Speaker G: Bees and odd ghouls, we should try dancing for them. [00:41:23] Speaker F: You can do that if you want. And I won't help you. [00:41:26] Speaker E: No, thank you. [00:41:27] Speaker A: Why? [00:41:27] Speaker B: What would dancing for them accomplish if they're like bees? [00:41:32] Speaker G: That must be how he's controlling them, through the power of dance. [00:41:36] Speaker A: Dancing is very powerful. That is true. [00:41:41] Speaker F: Just shake your ass for the ghouls and it'll work out. [00:41:46] Speaker A: Some stranger things. [00:41:48] Speaker G: Are we gonna head out to see Alistair, I mean. [00:41:53] Speaker F: Yeah, sure. [00:41:55] Speaker B: Go ahead. [00:41:56] Speaker A: We'll open the door for you. Go on. We're gonna. We're gonna play house now, you know. [00:42:05] Speaker G: What is. How do you spell his name again. [00:42:09] Speaker B: Alice? [00:42:10] Speaker A: Osmont. Talus. [00:42:13] Speaker G: Talus. [00:42:14] Speaker B: Talustalis. [00:42:14] Speaker G: And Osmont. O s m o n t. Yep. [00:42:23] Speaker B: I just put in chat. [00:42:25] Speaker G: Perfect. Yeah. Let's go chase some talus. [00:42:36] Speaker F: Tomorrow morning. It's late now. [00:42:41] Speaker B: And you do know that morning is relative. But you do know that this is the at night. True. Night is definitely when the ghouls are a lot more active and definitely seem to be a lot more aggressive. [00:42:57] Speaker F: We should camp out and keep a watch in case there's a lot more searching. [00:43:05] Speaker G: Yeah, especially if they have an idea of where we might be based on the missing patrols. [00:43:21] Speaker F: I can take the first watch if you guys need it. I have some dishes to do anyways. [00:43:28] Speaker C: I can take the last watch. Just as long as someone is up for the middle. I don't mind waking up early. [00:43:36] Speaker E: I'll take the middle. I'm fine with that. [00:43:38] Speaker F: Okay. [00:43:41] Speaker A: Should we do groupings like we did last time? Two and two and one. No, two. I can count. There's two. There's six of us. [00:43:51] Speaker F: I can do groupings. I just don't want to be paired with Alistair. I don't like that guy. [00:43:57] Speaker A: He was right here. This is rude. Right? [00:44:00] Speaker F: He called me a cannibal the second we met. Why do I have to be nice to him? [00:44:05] Speaker C: You got a very fair point. [00:44:07] Speaker A: Well, you all said things in prison. That we did not mean. It was. [00:44:10] Speaker F: I didn't. What did I say that I didn't mean? [00:44:15] Speaker G: I just heard the rumors. I. I'm so. You made me bobble like that soup was so good. Please, I want to keep getting more soup. [00:44:31] Speaker E: Should go on the same. [00:44:34] Speaker D: Have a lot to talk about. [00:44:35] Speaker E: Hash some things out, know each other. [00:44:40] Speaker A: No. Have a conversation. It can do wonders for you. [00:44:47] Speaker F: Sometimes I'd rather the ghouls eat my brains out. [00:44:51] Speaker C: Oh, that's rough. [00:44:52] Speaker F: If you don't. [00:44:54] Speaker A: If you don't have a conversation with artista on this watch, I will lock you out of the bedroom. You will have to sleep on the couch. [00:45:04] Speaker F: Do you really want to try that game with me? [00:45:06] Speaker A: Yes. And I. I had six siblings. [00:45:11] Speaker F: I will look at Yuri and just give him a look like. Do I have consent to completely ruin your cousin's life for this? [00:45:18] Speaker E: Like, you, they just see you. They. You see them slowly shake their head no. [00:45:24] Speaker F: I nod my head like, yeah. I look back and you're like, I'm giving you a final warning. You really don't want to play this game with me. I've had more siblings than you. [00:45:36] Speaker G: It's okay. Sad, rat like, ears down. I assume they do that. [00:45:44] Speaker A: Look what? You are done. [00:45:46] Speaker E: Okay, fine then, niall, first watch. I'll take the second watch with Alistar and Laith and great wing YouTube. [00:46:02] Speaker F: Yeah, I'll keep making you tasty soup because that is my job. But I am still very hurt and it will take me a while to feel better about yourself. Accusations. [00:46:14] Speaker E: Yuri opens her mouth as if to say something and just. No, we just need to move on. [00:46:20] Speaker F: Okay, I'm done with this. [00:46:23] Speaker E: You got watches down? [00:46:24] Speaker B: Yes, yes. [00:46:25] Speaker E: Okay, beautiful. [00:46:30] Speaker B: So, uh, would I have, uh. Could I get people doing first watch? Give me perception checks? [00:46:41] Speaker F: Ferris, Ferris, you're doing first one, Steve. [00:46:43] Speaker A: Okay. [00:46:45] Speaker F: Oh, my perception's ass in this game. I forgot. [00:46:47] Speaker A: All right, let's see. [00:46:48] Speaker F: What can I perceive? Um. What'd you get? [00:46:53] Speaker A: No, you go first. [00:46:55] Speaker F: Um, I think we got the exact opposite of the exact same rule. What'd you get? [00:47:00] Speaker A: I'm doing maths. Do you go first? Never mind. [00:47:02] Speaker C: I have a math. [00:47:03] Speaker F: It's 16, which is really funny. [00:47:06] Speaker A: Nat 24 in total. I got a 16. [00:47:10] Speaker F: Okay. I was about to say, I thought you got a nat one. It's like, imagine the duality. I have rolled really good for niall. I'm appreciating my little son. Boy. [00:47:18] Speaker A: I. Well, I've rolled under a ten, so, like. [00:47:23] Speaker F: I was like, oh, this is ass. Nat 20. I have to appreciate the furry dice, because these dice were made by a furry. [00:47:30] Speaker A: Nice. [00:47:31] Speaker B: So you two have, honestly, there's no really good places to stand watch in this house. You've kind of settled for the sitting room probably being your best bet. It's got the largest windows that you can kind of keep an eye on, eye on whatever's going on outside, and you're close enough to the ground floor and the main door if anything happens. Um, it's probably about, let's see, about 8 hours. Um, it's about halfway through your watch and you hear, you hear this, a very loud sound from somewhere in the district. It sounds kind of like an explosion. [00:48:24] Speaker A: Um, is there a way to. [00:48:28] Speaker B: Can. [00:48:28] Speaker A: We get to the roof? Does this house have roof access? [00:48:32] Speaker B: It does. Well, yeah, I'll say. [00:48:37] Speaker D: House has roof access. [00:48:38] Speaker F: If you're not technically having ability to climb walls. I don't know if I want to use it right now. [00:48:44] Speaker B: I mean, it'll come back in ten minutes. [00:48:47] Speaker A: What does that mean? [00:48:47] Speaker B: Oh, really? [00:48:48] Speaker F: It does? [00:48:48] Speaker B: Yeah, that's a focus point. It's a focus. [00:48:51] Speaker F: Okay, can I just climb up the wall then? I want to use it. [00:48:54] Speaker B: Mm hmm. As the, as the tentacle extends from your arm and climb just carries you up. [00:49:00] Speaker F: It's just like, how do I climb up this wall? And then you just see this like disgusting series of tendrils coming out of the mouth and then just nile scuttling up the wall in like mild, like, horror and just sitting on the top to like, look out. [00:49:14] Speaker A: Is that Archer ed? Never mind. I'm coming up slowly. [00:49:19] Speaker B: There's probably like a ladder or something you can use somewhere. Focus point then, because I wanted you to. [00:49:28] Speaker A: It was a pool. I had to find the attic access and then climb up and then go out. It was a lot of work. [00:49:34] Speaker B: Yeah, the focus point was worth it. [00:49:36] Speaker A: I probably. [00:49:39] Speaker B: It'S, it's somewhere on the other side of the district. You see this sort of large tower. It's not the clock tower or anything. It's a different one. It kind of stands up higher than things, and there are things on fire around it. The fire doesn't seem to be catching and spreading, but it's certainly, um, there's certainly something going on over there. [00:50:13] Speaker A: Is it the wizard tower? [00:50:16] Speaker B: It looks wizard tower esque. [00:50:21] Speaker E: But you said this was an explosion. Would this be enough to wake people up? [00:50:28] Speaker B: Probably. Especially I don't think any of you are sleeping all too fitfully, being in a very dangerous district and it's been. [00:50:39] Speaker A: All of like 2 hours anyway, right? Yeah. [00:50:41] Speaker B: So it's only been, like, 2 hours. [00:50:45] Speaker E: Um, I think Yurido is, like, immediately up and is in the process of, like, getting all their gear and yells into the hallway. What the fuck just happened? [00:50:58] Speaker A: Um, I don't know. There's, like, a tower that is probably the wizard tower, and it is kind of exploded a little. Exploded? Yes. Come on up. We have a good view of you. It's not, like, spreading or anything. It's just sort of on the fire. [00:51:18] Speaker F: Hmm. [00:51:23] Speaker E: Uh, yeah. Eurydo, again, they. They fully have kitted up, so they'd be there, like, in a minute and just be like, is that. Is there anyone there? Is this important? [00:51:41] Speaker A: Does anyone have, like, a telescope or binoculars or. [00:51:47] Speaker B: I think I gave someone a spyglass, didn't I? [00:51:49] Speaker A: Someone got one. [00:51:51] Speaker C: There is a spyglass in the knapsack. It's whoever took it. I don't think it is. [00:51:57] Speaker F: I don't think that was me. Was that you, Alouette? [00:52:01] Speaker A: Probably. [00:52:03] Speaker E: Probably. [00:52:04] Speaker A: When in doubt, just assume she picked it up, and we'll give it to whoever asks. [00:52:07] Speaker F: No, honestly, that seems in characters, like, who has the spyglass alouette? Don't you have it? Oh, right. I do. [00:52:14] Speaker A: Yeah. I doubt it's, like, on her person, but she'll run down and grab it and then come back and then pop it open, take a peek. Are there people at the. At the fiery tower? [00:52:26] Speaker B: I mean, there were. [00:52:30] Speaker A: How long ago was. Were. Are these, like. Because it's been closed for, like, 100. [00:52:36] Speaker B: Years, you're relatively sure that, um, that's not really a person anymore? Someone tried to get through one of the traps and set it off. [00:52:51] Speaker F: Oh, I see. [00:52:52] Speaker A: Was it, like, a thief situation or. [00:52:56] Speaker B: Like, it is a little hard to tell what exactly, but just something set off a trap at this tower, so. [00:53:04] Speaker A: I think perhaps we are fine. And also, do we see any ghouls congregating around the explosion? Are they, like, being drawn to the fire and the explosion and the noise? [00:53:18] Speaker B: Yes. [00:53:20] Speaker A: So we have our answer about distractions, but I don't like using yuri as a distraction. I know the whole group is not here, so we can repeat this conversation in the morning, but now we know. [00:53:33] Speaker B: I think most everybody got woken up. [00:53:36] Speaker E: Did you just, like, pop up behind us and say, yeah, I'm here? [00:53:39] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. [00:53:42] Speaker D: Lake sleepily falling following behind grave wing. Well, if they're distracted now, do we want to use that? [00:53:52] Speaker E: I was about to suggest that. [00:53:53] Speaker A: Are we ready? [00:53:55] Speaker D: I mean, you have bad ideas. [00:54:00] Speaker C: I mean, I'm ready. [00:54:02] Speaker E: We could get ready quickly. I mean, this sounds like they're going to be there for a while. [00:54:07] Speaker A: Is anyone going to be too tired because of not sleeping? And if they were in the fight we had earlier today. [00:54:15] Speaker D: Oh, I'm used to sleepless nights. [00:54:17] Speaker G: What are you all chatting about? [00:54:21] Speaker C: Big explosions, ghouls are running around. Would be a good time to get in. I mean, I'm ready to go. I don't mind going solo. Scouting is something I'm used to. [00:54:39] Speaker A: No, no, you cannot. We can go. As long as. Ready. We can go. We can go. [00:54:44] Speaker F: I'm still a little messed up from earlier in the day. Do you have that temporary health potion I gave you? Because unless someone's gonna drink it, I may as well. [00:54:54] Speaker A: Abbott. [00:54:55] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:54:58] Speaker F: I take it back and I'm gonna drink it, and I have no idea how much it restores. Let me check. It restores. One d six hit points. [00:55:06] Speaker A: Nice. [00:55:07] Speaker F: Yay. So there's a 0% chance I get everything back, but let's see. D six. That's a four. That's actually not that bad. [00:55:15] Speaker A: All right. [00:55:15] Speaker C: That's really good, dude, drink this vodka. [00:55:17] Speaker F: Down the hatch. [00:55:22] Speaker C: All right, well, then gear up. Hurry up. [00:55:25] Speaker A: Let's go. [00:55:25] Speaker C: We don't got this distraction all night. [00:55:28] Speaker B: Hmm. Question. Are you going to attempt to go by the smithy on the way? It is on the way. [00:55:35] Speaker E: Um. [00:55:37] Speaker C: Well, I don't think. I don't think we should. High key. [00:55:41] Speaker F: We don't know how long. [00:55:43] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. Maybe on the way back, allegedly. Yeah. But I think. Yeah, going. I think even euro will be like, no, we need to get there now, so. [00:55:54] Speaker F: Yeah. All right, let's go. Should we bring the dog? [00:56:04] Speaker C: I mean, the dog is very fucking trained. [00:56:10] Speaker G: I mean, we're not gonna leave it in the stable. At the very least. [00:56:19] Speaker B: Take it in the mansion. [00:56:21] Speaker A: I think it would be safest where it is. It's an enclosed location, and we know it can eat ghouls already, so. [00:56:30] Speaker F: All right, that's fine. [00:56:34] Speaker G: Give me a minute. Good. [00:56:36] Speaker B: Go. [00:56:37] Speaker G: And just put, like, as much food as I can of, like, whatever they feed the dogs. Just, like, overfeed it for a couple of days. [00:56:47] Speaker C: I. You can get ready, and gravewing can do that because graveling is not too keen on. On. Just in case, leaving it stuck in the kennel or anything like that, so. [00:57:03] Speaker B: It can get out. [00:57:05] Speaker C: Oh, my God. [00:57:07] Speaker A: It could work. [00:57:08] Speaker C: Doorknobs. This is a terrifying. [00:57:12] Speaker B: Think about it. Like, yeah, it's more of, like, a latch. [00:57:16] Speaker C: I was like, motherfucker does that. A turner doorknob, that. This. That say it's actually over. It's the only thing. It's, like, one of the only things, like, defeating majority of forest animals. The fact that they don't have thumbs is. [00:57:31] Speaker B: It's like a latch, and. And in the end, I think if it's closer to, like, like, a doghouse rather than, you know, like a full, like, kennel. [00:57:43] Speaker E: So I know we did not have a long rest, but we would have had time to even between, like, you know, do some medicine checks between where we left and the evening, so I don't. Okay. [00:57:59] Speaker B: There would have been time, but, yeah. [00:58:05] Speaker E: So I'm doing it for myself. That's, uh. I rolled a 19 on my first one. [00:58:13] Speaker C: Someone roll for someone. Do a check on graveling. I think. I think she's okay, but, like, is my medicine okay? [00:58:22] Speaker F: Hold on. Let me check. I'm not a doctor. [00:58:25] Speaker B: So you're like, can if I've done. [00:58:30] Speaker A: I can do a check for you if you need to. [00:58:32] Speaker F: Oh, no. I am not a doctor. [00:58:37] Speaker E: What a statement. [00:58:39] Speaker F: I am not a surgeon. I am not a surgeon. [00:58:49] Speaker A: Is medicine check? Just rolling medicine. [00:58:53] Speaker B: It's a DC 15. [00:58:55] Speaker A: Okay. [00:58:56] Speaker B: It's just Niall is the Star Trek meme of. Damn it, Jim, I'm not a doctor. [00:59:03] Speaker C: I'm a, I need you to know that I was thinking about the good doctor. I am a surgeon. That was referencing a surgeon. [00:59:13] Speaker F: That was exactly it, my friend. References on the daily. No idea what it was from until when you said the good doctor. [00:59:19] Speaker C: Yeah, good doctor. It's actually a bad doctor. That's all I'm gonna say. [00:59:23] Speaker F: Noted. [00:59:24] Speaker A: I got a 22 for that. [00:59:26] Speaker B: So 22, and then. So it's just a d. Hopefully. [00:59:30] Speaker A: I get five for you. I got one for you, actually. A seven, but it is not. [00:59:44] Speaker B: Was it. [00:59:44] Speaker E: It says two d, eight. [00:59:46] Speaker B: Oh, two d, eight. Never drag it. [00:59:47] Speaker A: Hold on. [00:59:48] Speaker E: Yeah, two d, two d, eight. [00:59:50] Speaker B: I didn't have, I didn't have it in front of me, so my brain went one d, eight, and, yeah, I pulled. [00:59:57] Speaker A: That's an eight, so you have more hit points than you lost. [01:00:01] Speaker F: Yippee. Can I just make sure schisms awake and ready to, like, fuck shit up if needed. [01:00:08] Speaker B: Schisms always awake. [01:00:10] Speaker F: I don't like that. You know what? [01:00:11] Speaker B: I'm sleeping even when you're sleeping. [01:00:15] Speaker F: Excuse me. [01:00:15] Speaker A: I can talk to schizom when you're asleep? [01:00:18] Speaker B: Yes. [01:00:19] Speaker C: Hypothetically. [01:00:20] Speaker F: I can't do anything about it. [01:00:22] Speaker A: Incredible. [01:00:24] Speaker F: I mean, you can try that if you really want, but you're gonna get an ear fully. But, yeah, I'm just gonna be like, all right, we're gonna probably, as the kids say, fuck shit up. Be ready. [01:00:39] Speaker E: I rolled a second one just throughout the evening. My second one was an hour 20, so. [01:00:46] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [01:00:47] Speaker E: I need. I just need more health. I'm the blood hunter. [01:00:54] Speaker B: Well, so you all are. Give me. This is going to be interesting. So I'm going to need one of three roles from people. Either a stealth check to move silently, an athletics check to move quickly, or a society check to know the layout of the district. [01:01:24] Speaker E: Ooh, that's fun. [01:01:28] Speaker A: What was athletics? Okay. [01:01:30] Speaker F: I'm pretty good at in society, but that's only if we need me to roll. [01:01:35] Speaker C: Um, graving's gonna go with athletics because she is used to parkour. [01:01:41] Speaker F: Oh, we're all doing them. Just one of the three. Okay. [01:01:44] Speaker B: Everyone has to roll. Everyone has her role. [01:01:47] Speaker A: Oh, boy. [01:01:47] Speaker F: It's gonna be a rolling society. I've seen a map once in my life. [01:01:52] Speaker A: I haven't. I have never seen a map ever in my life. [01:02:00] Speaker E: I think it's probably then gonna look. [01:02:02] Speaker G: Like gravely, is anyone an expert in society? [01:02:06] Speaker F: No. I got a 22. My dice are clutching. [01:02:11] Speaker D: I'm an expert in society, so if you want to. I was gonna roll stealth, but if you want to follow the leader, I can do. [01:02:18] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:02:18] Speaker G: We might be better off with the expert rolling society and then follow the leader on the. [01:02:25] Speaker B: I need one of the three roles from people. No one's aiding another person. [01:02:38] Speaker A: So everyone has to roll, but we can't help each other. [01:02:41] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:02:42] Speaker B: Is you working as a group? Like, each? What are you bringing? Like, are you helping people stay quiet? Are you helping people move quickly, or are you using your knowledge of the district. [01:02:58] Speaker E: On athletics? [01:02:59] Speaker C: I got a dirty 2021 on athletics. [01:03:04] Speaker A: Ten on society. [01:03:09] Speaker D: 19 on stealth. [01:03:13] Speaker G: 14 on society. [01:03:15] Speaker B: Um, hero points exist. [01:03:19] Speaker F: That is a 22 on society for me. [01:03:25] Speaker G: Uh, do I have, uh. I have not. Where's the. [01:03:33] Speaker A: Is this like a, um. If. [01:03:37] Speaker G: Thanks. [01:03:38] Speaker A: Does everyone have to pass or bad things happen, or does only majority have to pass? [01:03:43] Speaker B: It's a bit of a group check, so I thought we would play a little bit with the chase subsystem. [01:03:59] Speaker D: As. [01:04:00] Speaker B: You all make your rolls to start this trek towards this mansion, which is kind of on the other side of the district from where you are. And this is so at first, it's going really well, until, Lou, you get a little turned around and give people bad directions, and suddenly you all find yourselves in a bit of a dead end. You have been spotted and you kind of hear a group of ghouls coming for you. You can either stand and fight or see what you can do to escape. And if everybody would like to tell me what they would like to do, there are options here. So the houses in this district, not incredibly high. You could try to get up to the roofs. You could, rather than doing a full fight, try to push your way through the ghouls. You could try to do any other things. If you have any, if you have skills, this is where you can sell me on something. [01:05:06] Speaker C: Gravewing has the skill, feet, lengthy diversion, and I like to divert the ghouls. And then if I can also, additionally, then get away from the ghouls. I do have, like, I am trained in athletics and acrobatics, so I think statistically I can do it. [01:05:32] Speaker E: That's gonna be my suggestion too. We, I wanna, I wanna, like, follow that lead and also get everyone else on the roofs. I think I wanna, I want in character. Euro does, like, looks at graving. Need to get them on the roofs. Do you want to be distraction? Or I could. [01:05:53] Speaker C: Let me do, let me just do the distracting. [01:05:56] Speaker E: Okay. I'm gonna get everyone on the roofs and just get up there as fast. [01:06:00] Speaker C: As can get it. [01:06:06] Speaker F: Aubrey, has it been ten minutes? [01:06:09] Speaker B: Yes, it's been more than ten minutes. [01:06:11] Speaker F: Okay. Thank God. [01:06:14] Speaker B: So what is everyone else doing? I need, I need something that everybody is doing. [01:06:20] Speaker F: Uh, I honestly don't want to deal with these ghouls. I'm like, I don't want to get again, actually. [01:06:26] Speaker C: Well, you guys need to get up. [01:06:28] Speaker D: On the roofs now. [01:06:29] Speaker C: So if anything, you can just, the rest of you can just focus on getting up. [01:06:33] Speaker F: Mm hmm. [01:06:34] Speaker A: Um, I want to try to find an open door because I'm not climbing. It's not, I mean, I can want to climb, but it's not going to happen. So I'm going to try to find either a easy to unlock door or an unlock door or a window that's not fully shut, a ladder, fire escape, anything I find that'll get me up without having to Spider man my way up there. [01:07:01] Speaker B: Yeah, that'll be a, that'll be a perception roll from you. So, Niall, you will be spending your. [01:07:11] Speaker F: Yeah, I just got the focus pull back. And I'm using it. Yeah, you just see these, like, grim tendrils just kind of come out of, like, the little, like, mouths all over Nile and just scuttles up like a fucking spider, literally. And just sits on the roof like it's a 15ft per, like, action thing. So I can just climb up there if I want, like a little freak. [01:07:32] Speaker B: What are yep. Uh, what are laithe and Alistair doing? [01:07:43] Speaker G: I, too, am going to attempt to find a good place to climb up. Because I'm not the most athletic rat. [01:08:02] Speaker D: I would like to gracefully and acrobatically make my way up the roof, please. [01:08:09] Speaker B: Yeah, you can give me an acrobatic troll. Uh, so Alouette and Alistair, give me perceptionals. And so, Yuri and gray wing, you're both trying to do, like, a distraction. Uh, what exactly are you doing for a distraction is the question. [01:08:30] Speaker E: Oh, I was truly just gonna be great. Wink. [01:08:33] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:08:34] Speaker E: With everyone. Yeah. [01:08:35] Speaker B: Okay. [01:08:36] Speaker C: Yeah. I was straight up just gonna jump down and make a lot of noise in another direction and run. [01:08:44] Speaker B: All right. [01:08:45] Speaker C: Yeah. Like, fully diverting, like, using myself to get these ghouls to go somewhere else. And then, objectively, I would try to parkour my way back up to the roof. [01:08:58] Speaker B: Okay, give me just deception roll for now. And so, Yuri, give me an athletics check to sort of just climb. [01:09:10] Speaker E: Hero point, you're. [01:09:15] Speaker C: 19 for deception. [01:09:23] Speaker E: 24. [01:09:23] Speaker B: Vorthex, 24. Let's see. All right, so 18 and a 23. So, Lou and Alistair, you don't find specifically a ladder, but you do find a bunch of crates that you can kind of stack up and create a bit of a little tower to climb up. The group is split a little bit. So the rest of you are running along the roofs, trying to sort of get your bearings. And gravewing, you are making the distraction, throwing something, making a lot of noise. You know, something like that. And then eventually, gray wing, you will try to meet back up with the group. If you want to give me an acrobatics track to get up the roofs. [01:10:39] Speaker C: You say acrobatics, right? [01:10:41] Speaker B: Acrobatics, yeah. [01:10:42] Speaker C: Okay, dope. 25. [01:10:46] Speaker B: 25. Okay, you're up on the roofs and you have all eventually come back together. If I could get another. Either athletics check, acrobatics check, or society check from people. [01:11:01] Speaker F: I love society. Society is my favorite. [01:11:09] Speaker A: I don't think my dice want me to live tonight. [01:11:14] Speaker B: Don't forget that you have. Next time you're ever worried, you've got that hero card you can spend. [01:11:21] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [01:11:24] Speaker B: So, yeah, no, speaking of that, as you're all running, Yuri, your foot hits a bad port of one of the roofs and you go through. Give me a reflex save. [01:11:36] Speaker A: No. [01:11:41] Speaker E: I love consequences of my actions. [01:11:43] Speaker A: That's just not even your actions. That's just bad dice. [01:11:47] Speaker E: That's a 22. [01:11:48] Speaker B: 22. So you luckily catch yourself so you don't just go ass over tea kettle. And you do manage to hit the ground rolling and you don't take any damage. But now you are back on the ground and you can hear the ghouls. You've attracted the attention of another pack. You're not exactly moving quietly over these roofs. Everyone else is doing all right. [01:12:14] Speaker E: I would like to. Two things. Three things, I guess I want to. One, perception check to see if there's anything flammable or possibly explosive nearby. Two, take out my gun. And I also want a southern charge out of this building. [01:12:36] Speaker B: Okay, give me the perception check. Everyone else, same thing yet again. Acrobatics, athletics or society as you start seeing the gates of this mansion approaching in the distance. [01:12:48] Speaker F: All right, let's see if these guys continue their trend. [01:12:51] Speaker A: Is there any way to, like, help Yuri? [01:12:56] Speaker F: He's fine. [01:12:57] Speaker B: They're. [01:12:58] Speaker E: They're fine. [01:12:58] Speaker B: He'd run in. [01:13:00] Speaker A: Can I cast guidance on Yuri through the, like, the hole in the roof? [01:13:05] Speaker B: Yeah, you can. I think you. You could still use line of sight on them. [01:13:09] Speaker A: It's 30ft, so, Yuri, don't die. [01:13:15] Speaker E: Keep running. [01:13:17] Speaker A: Okay, but don't die. [01:13:21] Speaker F: Yeah, can I. Can I for a second also cast forbidding ward, because it's a 30ft range. You don't have to touch anyone. [01:13:31] Speaker B: For forbidding ward. You have to have a second target. You have to. You target one person and then. [01:13:36] Speaker F: Oh, I see. Never mind. [01:13:38] Speaker B: You have to say this creature specifically. You have an extra bonus for your ac. [01:13:43] Speaker F: All right, well, if I see a second creature, I'm going to do that. But unfortunately there's zero. Actually, fortunately, there's zero creatures around. [01:13:50] Speaker A: I think. [01:13:50] Speaker F: I think operation introduced a creature, for example, forbidding war. [01:13:57] Speaker B: Yuri, what did you say? [01:14:00] Speaker E: With the guidance, that's a 24. [01:14:03] Speaker B: A 24? Yeah. You see an oil lamp. [01:14:07] Speaker E: Beautiful. I would like to shoot it. And then sudden charge out of the house, breaking down the wall. Sorry, who lives here? It's kind of an emergency. [01:14:21] Speaker B: It's been five years. It's fine. [01:14:26] Speaker A: Blame it on the ghouls. [01:14:30] Speaker B: So, yeah, you do that and this oil lamp catches and starts to. There's a lot of rotten clothes here and it's going to just start eating that up as the flame will start to spread. And you sort of just go right through this rotten door out into the street and you can see everyone else running on the roofs and everyone else, you can hear the whoosh of flame as it catches. And you will all see the gates ahead of you. And the question is, there is a bit of a gap between where the houses end and where this gate into this mansion is. How would people like to deal with this. Are you just jumping it or what? [01:15:26] Speaker E: I personally, Yuri wants to be running down below and looks at Lou and is like, Lou, jump. I'll catch you. Trust me. Trust me. Not my dice. [01:15:46] Speaker A: I'm gonna jump. [01:15:48] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:15:50] Speaker A: You'Re lucky I love you. Okay. Don't have to make an athletics check for this. [01:15:57] Speaker B: I'd say make a reflex check. [01:16:00] Speaker A: That's much better. There's actually points in that. [01:16:03] Speaker B: Make a reflex save for me. Just see if you can do this safely. [01:16:10] Speaker E: Make a hex check. To catch them. [01:16:13] Speaker A: You'd have to make a heck of a check. [01:16:16] Speaker B: Yeah, you can also make a reflex check. [01:16:18] Speaker A: I got a natural one for a total of. Oh, sorry, five. I already used my hero points. I told you my dice are out to get me. [01:16:30] Speaker E: So my reflex save was 25. [01:16:37] Speaker B: Yeah. I will say you will catch Lou, but Lou, you will unfortunately bash your head against, like, a support as you jump down. You're only going to take three. Bludgeoning damage. Oh, it's a. [01:16:52] Speaker E: It's got this jump bonk. [01:16:55] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:16:59] Speaker E: Like in my arms running. Why did you jump into the pole? [01:17:04] Speaker B: Are you okay? [01:17:06] Speaker A: I'm fine. I couldn't judge the distance. I don't know. [01:17:12] Speaker E: I need to give you some jumps lessons or something. [01:17:16] Speaker A: You know I'm bad at jumping. [01:17:19] Speaker B: I didn't think you jump into the thing. [01:17:21] Speaker A: I slurped. I didn't sleep. I just felt badly. [01:17:26] Speaker G: I think Alistair is just gonna try to do a PK roll. [01:17:32] Speaker B: Okay. That'll be an athletics check. [01:17:36] Speaker G: Oh, this is gonna go so well. But I'm like, he's feeling in the moment. He's like, bounding a little bit. And this is. This is gonna be. Ouch. 16. [01:17:52] Speaker B: Hi. What is everyone else doing to clear this last little thing? [01:17:57] Speaker D: Wait, so is there something that we could theoretically leap onto? Like, could we leap onto the building, the next building from the buildings we're at? Or is it just like. [01:18:06] Speaker B: So it's essentially is you hit a point where the buildings stop and there's a little bit of distance and there's essentially a fence which walls off the rest of the mansion from the rest of the district. [01:18:22] Speaker F: I'm not very good at jumping, actually. [01:18:27] Speaker D: I can jump horizontally 15ft, but I don't know if that's not enough to clear. [01:18:36] Speaker B: 15Ft would be enough to clear. Yeah, I'm gonna say it's about. It's about 10ft. It's about 10ft from where the roof ends and the fence is. So 15ft would get you over that. [01:18:49] Speaker D: Beautiful. [01:18:49] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:18:50] Speaker D: Leith seamlessly leaps from the building over the fence. [01:18:54] Speaker C: So here's my thing. I have the powerful leap feet as well. But I actually don't know what my. Like. I get an additional 5ft. I have no idea what a long jump or high jump, actually, three times your thing. [01:19:11] Speaker E: It's an action. [01:19:13] Speaker D: I just posted it because I have 30ft movement. I get the 15ft horizontal leap. Year should be ten if your minutes, 25, five or 15 if your movement is 30. [01:19:35] Speaker C: I get an additional five because of powerful leap. So it would just. It would be 15 then. [01:19:42] Speaker B: 15. Yeah, yeah. So if you want to both make that, because long jump. You're just doing the long jump action. So it's just a athletic check. DC 15 athletic check. Which is. Which is hilarious, because Alistair just makes the long jump. DC with a 16. [01:20:08] Speaker D: 1921 for laithe. [01:20:16] Speaker B: 21. So, yeah, you both managed to get over the fence. So Yuri and Lou are both still on the ghoul side of the fence. Not the mansion side of the fence. [01:20:30] Speaker A: Where's snow? [01:20:31] Speaker C: I think. [01:20:32] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:20:32] Speaker C: Where am I? [01:20:33] Speaker B: I was gonna say you're on the roof. So I was gonna see what you. What, you're. You're still on the roof? [01:20:39] Speaker F: Yeah. What would you say on the roofs? [01:20:42] Speaker B: So essentially there is a ten foot gap between the roof and the fence. [01:20:47] Speaker F: Yeah. I gotta play a jumping game, basically, with no jumping ability. [01:20:54] Speaker B: Mm hmm. [01:20:56] Speaker F: I'm just gonna look down at everything going on and just take a couple of steps back and be like, okay, let's give this a shot, I guess. And I'm gonna try to jump it. That's an athletics check. [01:21:14] Speaker B: Yes. [01:21:15] Speaker F: Oh, gosh. My dice have not betrayed me yet. I have a plus zero in athletics. I got an 18. Yeah, it's the furries. I'm just saying. [01:21:32] Speaker B: And, yeah, as you jump, you feel like a little bit of, like, the tendrils sort of go out behind you and help push you off a little even further. Um, you won't land as gracefully on the other side of the fence. You'll just barely click that fence. Uh, so leaves Lou and Yuri on the ground running towards the fence. [01:22:01] Speaker E: Um, how durable is this fence? [01:22:07] Speaker B: Metal fence that hasn't been maintained for a while. So. [01:22:15] Speaker E: Is it, like, locked or is there, like, a padlock on it? [01:22:19] Speaker B: Yeah, the gate looks like it's padlocked. [01:22:22] Speaker E: Um, Yuri would get to the fence, but Lou down is just like, well, step back and I'm gonna attempt to, uh, I have a club, and I would like to attempt to use that club to just break the lock and kick it open. [01:22:44] Speaker B: Okay. Uh, give me a melee attack roll. [01:22:51] Speaker E: Could I study weakness of the lock first? [01:22:55] Speaker B: No. [01:22:57] Speaker E: Fair. Fair. That is 17 to hit it. I mean, I guess. Do I need to roll to hit it? [01:23:11] Speaker B: Yeah, that'll hit. I will say that will count as a crit because it's an immovable object. So roll your crit damage. See if you can do it. Do enough. [01:23:22] Speaker E: You have. No, but that is with crit damage. That's 20 damage. [01:23:33] Speaker B: 20 damage. Yeah. It is an old rusted lock. And you bring down the. Like, the. The club on it in just the right point, sort of break it, the game will not be able to lock behind you. [01:23:50] Speaker E: Well, I was gonna say, as soon as we get through, could I leave that great club? Like, in the. Is there like a. Like a handle? [01:23:59] Speaker B: It's a. You can kind of, like, jam the club into the thing. You won't have the club anymore, but, yeah, I have. [01:24:06] Speaker E: I have the Longsword still, so I would like to. Yeah, yeah. Lou threw. Shove the club, like, between, like, the. You know, those handles of it there, and get going. [01:24:19] Speaker B: Yeah. You all gather in the courtyard of the Talus family manor. The windows itself are very foreboding. There's no lights whatsoever in this, but the mansion itself is drenched in the stench of rot and decay. The. You won't. And I. Yeah, yeah. I believe this is a good place to end it for this session. And, you know, while we're at it, why don't you all just go to level three? Yeah. [01:25:04] Speaker C: Let'S go. Let's go. [01:25:06] Speaker A: Let's go for ages. [01:25:09] Speaker F: Why are you getting us to level up when we have a ten minute gap before the next fucking session? [01:25:14] Speaker E: They don't know that because I usually. [01:25:17] Speaker B: Intended this to end both of our recordings, but you all decided to go tonight, so. [01:25:23] Speaker E: Okay, so three for this mansion. [01:25:28] Speaker F: I'm gonna make a smoothie, and I'm gonna do all the level up stuff. At some point, I can put the number three. It's okay. [01:25:38] Speaker B: You'll definitely want to at least pick out your spells. [01:25:42] Speaker A: Oh, fuck that. [01:25:43] Speaker F: All right. I'm against movie first because I've been holding off on this movie for so long. I will take spell suggestions for anyone who's played a sorcerer before. [01:25:52] Speaker C: By the way, what did you spell this? Babes. That. Is it occult? [01:25:56] Speaker E: Well, let's get taken out first. [01:25:59] Speaker B: Yeah. Take and end the episode tech. [01:26:29] Speaker C: Yeah, eat them. It's pride. Raw dog. [01:26:56] Speaker A: For just a dream of the darkest dream. It.
