[00:00:43] Speaker A: Waking up dreaming dark so long I cannot find meaning hold my hand let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all the these demons always roam me in this red light because me he is reaching out consuming.
[00:01:29] Speaker B: Hello and welcome back to Tyrant of the Dark Star. I'm Aubrey, your gm and I'll introduce my players, who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get on into things.
[00:01:40] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Maki. My pronouns are she, her and I play Gravewing, the Nagaji sylph vigilante monk slash air kineticist who also uses she her pronouns and she is the party mom slash strategist of the rebellion.
[00:01:58] Speaker D: Hello hello, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them and I play Laith Idrisi iv, the matricidal dampier, dandy, rogue and spymaster who uses she any pronouns?
[00:02:12] Speaker E: Hello, I am Dusty, I use they he pronouns and I'm playing Yurido, just Yurido. Still, they are our nephilim cursed boy of a problem.
They are going to be the party in this rebellion's Rand and they also use they he pronouns.
[00:02:33] Speaker A: Hello, I am Faris, I use she her pronouns and I am playing Alouette Valer, a totally normal Nephilim thaumaturge bard having a very normal and good time learning all about her way more cursed family. She also uses she her pronouns and is the anathema partisan.
[00:02:51] Speaker F: Hello, I am Sparlock, and both me and my character use he him pronouns.
I'm going by Alistair Whiskerfield, wizard detective extraordinaire, as heir to the fine distinguished family of wizard mice, Ratzerts Esoki Arcanists, I swear I was always aware of it. I keep my whiskers to the ground to uncover the truth of the powers that be who subjugate us, by which I mean I'm our recruiter and hello.
[00:03:24] Speaker G: To round off the group. I am Tick, I have he, she, they pronouns and today I'll be playing Nile, a flesh warp sorcerer who is just a totally ordinary cook and quartermaster for the group and definitely not a cannibal parenthesis he's a cannibal, but it's a dietary restriction, so don't be too mean to him.
[00:03:43] Speaker B: So what happened last time?
[00:03:46] Speaker G: Faris hates gay people.
So last time on this game that we played together, we kind of wrapped up the last three days of what we had to do. You know, some downtime free time. Niall and Alice had a nice conversation about feelings and hey, please don't accuse me of cannibalism Parentheses please. Oh, my bad. Sor.
So we. We had a nice conversation, we got to have a nice meal, headed back and we all did some kind of three day downtime. Alistair I think got a wizard spell that he learned. Niall has invented coffee for the group as in discovered a way to make it for everyone. Aubrey made that distinction several times that I did not invent the concept of coffee which is fair. I did not invent the concept of coffee as a whole.
Yuri and Lou had a deep conversation about hey, so we're cursed. Here's the guidebook. It.
I know Graveling and Lathe talked about romance books about which ones are good. Lathe got everyone's mask orders from them and I think a few other things happened but honestly the most important thing is I committed self cannibalism which I think was pretty fun.
But yeah, we won down the last three days and we are now jumping in the next week. Sorry Aubrey, I. We were both talking. I. I wanted to finish that. I will now mute. I'm sorry. I love you.
[00:05:06] Speaker B: I was more just like self cannibalism. Yeah, I know.
So it is the 25th of Savon. It is the. It is another moon day. It is the start of another week and it's time for you to sit down and figure out what you're doing for the week.
You know various things that have happened. You've gotten a few more safe houses. You've gotten the two lieutenants which if you attach Juniper to any squad, they'll get a plus one to any of the. To their crafting roles. And if you attach Lorelei to a squad, they get a plus one to stealth rolls. And you have your new. Your new squad from the the Bloody Blades. Clover and Oscar are your two new agents.
Yuri so thrilled about that.
[00:06:04] Speaker A: So we have two squads now.
[00:06:05] Speaker B: You have two.
[00:06:06] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:06:07] Speaker B: So you can take two actions this week.
[00:06:13] Speaker C: If you look. If you look at the inventory thing, we have our squads there.
[00:06:18] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was just clarifying for the podcast.
[00:06:23] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:06:24] Speaker A: For the listeners.
[00:06:27] Speaker B: So your and your first squad returns with rumors. Remind me specifically, were you looking for any rumors in particular or just rumors in the city?
One moment because it's been a couple of weeks.
[00:06:48] Speaker A: More information about the state of the city since going to prison is what I wrote down.
[00:06:53] Speaker B: Yep.
They come back with two rumors for you. One is in Darklight Bazaar and one is in Clockwork Halls. So Darklight Bazaar is specifically about the circus that is shut down.
They some firsthand accounts of people who are at the final show. And apparently something went wrong and one of the performers died.
And that's when the holy blood came in and shut everything down. Something about someone getting stabbed through a mirror.
And in clockwork calls, there have been more reports of the automatons that the Clockwork Union have built going haywire and attacking people.
[00:07:48] Speaker D: What is the general use case of automatons in the city? Are they laborers? Are they cops? Are they tables? What is their deal?
[00:08:00] Speaker B: So for. For automatons, they don't generally. You don't see them generally too much outside of clockwork calls, generally used as laborers. And clockwork halls built by the Clockwork Union, these. They would not be considered.
They would not be considered. Like the ancestry constructs, these are very simple beings of clockwork that have very basic functions. Usually it's to carry specific things or do certain tasks that are deemed a little bit too dangerous for a normal person.
They work in some of the factories doing jobs that are more suited for than people are, that involve high heat or dangerous machinery. But yeah, you get those two specific about the constructs and the circus. So there's things that you can follow up with on in the. Your. Your following weeks. You're also delivered your papers from Gavin and you're delivered masks as well.
And for whoever needs to know, your threat has gone up to 10 out of 100.
[00:09:15] Speaker G: I forgot it was out of 100. I was like, one to 10. I was like, ain't 10 the maximum? Okay, I forgot a number.
[00:09:22] Speaker A: I was like.
[00:09:23] Speaker B: Due to some people unfortunately failing some stealth rolls and. And drawing attention.
[00:09:30] Speaker A: We were in the 12th.
[00:09:31] Speaker E: I wonder who could.
[00:09:36] Speaker D: I think we should recruit as one of our actions.
[00:09:40] Speaker B: Recruiting is good. Yeah.
[00:09:44] Speaker E: I want to go to clockwork halls regardless, so I can maybe look more into that river.
[00:09:53] Speaker B: Yeah, so you can spend one action to recruit, and other actions you can take are you can gather information, money, or supplies.
You can set something up for a mission, but you're currently not really on any mission just for anything to set up or. Yeah, you recruit or reduce threat. Currently you are only at 10.
[00:10:17] Speaker A: So what are there, like, thresholds that once we hit a certain threshold, stuff starts happening with the threat levels?
[00:10:26] Speaker B: No, for threat is you make a roll at the end of our little thing, and it's a D100. And as long as you roll above threat, you're fine. That's right. If you roll below. If you roll below your threat, that's when an inquisition will start.
[00:10:44] Speaker A: And you're making everybody roll differently so that a key can't be the Only one rolling.
[00:10:49] Speaker B: He has to be a different person each time.
[00:10:51] Speaker A: I remember this now. Okay.
[00:10:54] Speaker C: While it's lower, make it. Y'all do it. If you need higher, like when it's higher and we need higher, then I should do it.
[00:11:05] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:05] Speaker A: Besides. Oh, sorry. Go ahead.
[00:11:07] Speaker C: I was gonna ask Aubry. Do you have the rumors and stuff written down that you could like copy paste for us, please?
[00:11:14] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:11:14] Speaker C: Thank you. Thank you. Because I think I only processed two.
[00:11:20] Speaker B: There were only two.
[00:11:21] Speaker A: We only got two.
[00:11:22] Speaker C: The number. No, none of the rumors.
[00:11:26] Speaker A: I also have them written down.
[00:11:28] Speaker C: I understood that we had two rumors that we. That's what I mean.
[00:11:34] Speaker G: Evil mirror stabbing people in the carnival and Automaton Revolution.
[00:11:41] Speaker A: Roomba Revolution.
[00:11:42] Speaker E: Really different than Dance Dance Revolution.
[00:11:45] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:11:46] Speaker C: What if we recruited the automatons?
[00:11:48] Speaker A: Are they. They're more like Roombas than they are like people, right?
[00:11:53] Speaker B: Yeah. They are not sentient.
[00:11:55] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:11:56] Speaker D: I was thinking we could recruit the circus folk.
[00:12:00] Speaker C: So we're gonna make a way with.
[00:12:01] Speaker D: Blood shut them down.
[00:12:02] Speaker A: I thought you were gonna say we should recruit whoever killed them.
[00:12:05] Speaker D: So that's probably better.
[00:12:08] Speaker G: We gotta recruit the mirror. We gotta recruit what's her face.
[00:12:11] Speaker A: Gay rights.
[00:12:12] Speaker G: Gay rights.
[00:12:13] Speaker C: Gay rights.
[00:12:14] Speaker B: Gay rights.
[00:12:15] Speaker A: She's here for us.
Maybe our group will kill her properly.
[00:12:21] Speaker G: This is her cousin. Gayrons.
[00:12:24] Speaker A: We support them both.
[00:12:25] Speaker E: I do have to support them legally.
[00:12:29] Speaker C: Support legalize nuclear bomb.
[00:12:33] Speaker G: But if no one else has done the role, I'll do. I just have to roll higher than a 10 on a D100. All right.
[00:12:37] Speaker B: After you've. After you've done your Just locked in your actions.
[00:12:40] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay.
[00:12:41] Speaker B: Major roles for those. Because if your actions fail, they will up your threat. Yeah.
[00:12:48] Speaker F: We have. We have two actions, right?
[00:12:51] Speaker B: Yes, you currently do because you have currently two teams.
[00:12:54] Speaker F: I. I do second the recruitment.
[00:12:58] Speaker A: I like the idea of recruiting the circus as well.
[00:13:01] Speaker E: I agree.
[00:13:04] Speaker A: I have a bunch of backflippers who I'm gonna practice at night.
[00:13:09] Speaker C: Nice. Nice.
[00:13:10] Speaker E: Get backflip at 40 miles an hour.
[00:13:13] Speaker C: Alistair is our recruiter though. So Alistair has to go recruit these carnies.
[00:13:19] Speaker B: Oh yeah, yeah.
No.
[00:13:23] Speaker C: Lathe is a spy master. Our recruiter is Alistair.
[00:13:27] Speaker E: But it'd be funnier. You're right.
[00:13:29] Speaker A: Are you saying lay it's a clown? Because get out here.
[00:13:34] Speaker C: What with the way they're acting. Sometimes.
[00:13:38] Speaker A: I think that money or information would be good for the second action.
We don't. We aren't yet doing stuff that needs money. But also it's better to get money early and that I've played a lot of Research, management, games. City builders love them. You want the money in advance.
[00:14:02] Speaker E: This is true.
[00:14:03] Speaker A: Otherwise, you're like, oh, crap, I have too much stuff and no money to keep it up.
But also, we don't have a lot of info, but we are more mobile now, so maybe it's better to get money since we are more mobile and we can get information. Personally, I think that's up to you all which one you think is more important or if you think something else is more important.
[00:14:23] Speaker C: If it's money, we have the bloody blades. And if anything, they can just steal it for us.
Yeah, they flee snowballs all the time.
[00:14:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:14:39] Speaker A: It would be a good one to send out for that, probably.
[00:14:44] Speaker E: Yeah, I think. I. I think recruit and money is probably a good bet right now.
[00:14:54] Speaker B: All right, so who is going to roll for the. The money?
Because yet again, you don't have to. It doesn't have to be like, specifically the quartermaster.
You know, your. Your things can be a little different as well, but quartermaster is probably best suited to roll for it.
[00:15:14] Speaker D: But consider our strategist strategizing with her lover to get us money.
[00:15:26] Speaker G: You got me there.
[00:15:27] Speaker E: Strategizing?
[00:15:29] Speaker B: Strategizing?
[00:15:31] Speaker G: Is that what they're calling it nowadays?
[00:15:35] Speaker E: It's only what they call it.
[00:15:37] Speaker A: I mean, as long as you figure out all the right positions.
[00:15:39] Speaker B: You're muted.
[00:15:42] Speaker A: Me?
[00:15:43] Speaker C: Me? I was like I said, I show up 4am, walk in. Y'all are still like me. Like, I strategized.
[00:15:54] Speaker G: Okay. No, that's really funny. I think you should do it.
[00:15:59] Speaker C: Am I. Am I okay? For real, though? Am I. Am I rolling? Am I strategizing? Is this is we. We're deciding to use.
[00:16:06] Speaker G: I think. I think you're. I think your girl would be really happy if you strategize with her for a month. I think.
[00:16:11] Speaker C: I know she will. We all know she will.
[00:16:15] Speaker G: Honestly, I would also like. Who said that? That's crazy.
[00:16:20] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:16:21] Speaker G: Okay.
[00:16:21] Speaker B: But if the spymaster does roll, you can roll with stealth, and you can attach Lorelei to the squad and therefore get that plus one for stealth.
[00:16:33] Speaker A: Oh, we really have a lot of thinking.
[00:16:35] Speaker D: I mean, I'm fine to do it, but I also was the only one who did a role last time, so I'm fine to let other people lead.
[00:16:43] Speaker G: I. I don't. I don't know how I can make money with cooking. I mean, actually, wait, that was a really statement.
[00:16:53] Speaker B: Yet again with Chef. You are not the one who's doing these things. You are sending these groups to do these things, and under your leadership, they Are doing these things. It is not Nile spending a week.
[00:17:04] Speaker G: Cooking, opening a home bakery.
[00:17:08] Speaker A: Everyone, we run a bake sale. Please support another.
[00:17:14] Speaker D: Bake sale.
[00:17:15] Speaker A: Fucking please buy an God killing big sale. Let's go fund taking over the Lamplighters and saving the world.
[00:17:25] Speaker C: This. Hear me out. This God killer campaign.
God killer campaign. But it's a bake sale.
[00:17:36] Speaker A: To kill God.
We cross over my bake sale game and the God killer game.
[00:17:43] Speaker E: Get Connie on the phone now.
[00:17:46] Speaker G: In more ways than one.
[00:17:47] Speaker A: I have werewolves with a bake sale. We want to kill God.
[00:17:57] Speaker C: All right, I'll roll though. I'll roll for this one. I really like the idea of being like this is strategizing.
Are we making our rules now?
[00:18:09] Speaker B: Did we decide what was this? So the second one is also information. Who is going to be rolling for that?
[00:18:15] Speaker A: No, I thought it was recruiting.
[00:18:17] Speaker B: Recruiting, yes.
Yeah. The recruiter.
[00:18:20] Speaker C: No.
[00:18:20] Speaker B: Yes. The recruiter, yes. So, yeah, we'll need both of those roles.
[00:18:26] Speaker A: Alistair's recruiter.
[00:18:28] Speaker B: Yes. Yep, yep, yep.
[00:18:31] Speaker F: Actions.
[00:18:33] Speaker C: So I can use society for this, right?
[00:18:36] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:18:37] Speaker C: Thank you.
Anyways, 25 to strategize.
[00:18:45] Speaker F: For the recruiter.
That is.
That's a dirty 20.
I don't think I should re roll with a nine.
[00:18:57] Speaker B: Well, as long as not gonna re roll or anything.
[00:19:03] Speaker F: Unless y'all think I should re roll a nine.
[00:19:06] Speaker A: We have hero point score.
[00:19:10] Speaker B: Haven't spent any airplanes.
[00:19:13] Speaker C: I rolled an 18 on my die.
[00:19:15] Speaker F: Like okay, it, but that just went down to a 15.
[00:19:24] Speaker B: But another one. It's still.
[00:19:26] Speaker E: It's incentives.
[00:19:27] Speaker A: Is it? What's our DC for these things?
[00:19:31] Speaker B: So 15 will be a failure.
[00:19:35] Speaker A: Oh, no.
[00:19:37] Speaker F: I blame you, Alouette.
[00:19:41] Speaker A: Fair enough.
[00:19:45] Speaker B: Well, currently it's not going to lose you any of your teams for this because it's also not a critical failure.
So it's kind of going to be a wash. And you haven't really amassed any general followers yet.
So I'm going to need you to roll 1d6 and tell me the the result.
Spylock and then grapevine. Yours is a success, not a critical success.
[00:20:24] Speaker F: That is a one.
[00:20:26] Speaker B: So you're up to 11.
[00:20:29] Speaker C: Oh, that's good.
[00:20:30] Speaker D: We wanted that one to be Low is good.
[00:20:32] Speaker B: Low is good.
So you will.
In a week you will get.
Essentially you get what you set out for for money. You count. So this is on a success on earned income.
And you will get any common item as long as you have the funds for it. So if there's a common item that you're looking for, you can grab that and we'll Roll for the earn income a little later.
[00:21:03] Speaker C: Once again, 4am Both of them's gonna return to the manor.
When you strategize.
[00:21:14] Speaker A: Any common item.
One for the whole group.
[00:21:18] Speaker B: Yes, one common item.
[00:21:22] Speaker A: I'm like, dang, that's so generous.
[00:21:25] Speaker B: Yeah, one common item for the group. So.
And that will be, you know, in.
[00:21:31] Speaker A: An in game week.
[00:21:33] Speaker B: Yes.
You know, you've made some progress. You slowly getting there and then I will need somebody to roll that deep 100.
[00:21:46] Speaker E: Sure, sure.
22.
[00:21:52] Speaker B: 22.
You. Yeah. That's a succeeded to bubble 11.
[00:22:01] Speaker C: Barely.
[00:22:01] Speaker E: Oh, okay. In fact it's double.
[00:22:05] Speaker G: It's double. We should get a double point. We should. We should get a bonus for that outbreak. We rolled so much higher. We all double.
[00:22:12] Speaker B: No, I mean your bonuses. You. You're not getting hunted yet.
[00:22:17] Speaker E: That's good.
That's a good bonus. Right.
[00:22:23] Speaker B: So yeah, now is.
It's a start of a new week. So now is a great time to discuss whatever your plans are for the week. You have a lot of strings that you can pull on and this is a point where we're going to be doing things a little differently than we did with Blood of Kings. I'm going to be taking a bit of a step back and I'm going to a lot of the. The things. A lot of the story driving is going to be on you. I'm going to be giving you all of these plot hooks and these story threads and. And it is very much on all of you to start pulling on the ones you are most interested in. There's a lot that's going on in this city and things will change and move.
Pieces will move around. Things will resolve or get worse depending on what you do. You don't have to do everything just wanting you. This is a city that is alive and things are happening and then there is a overarching main story but there's also all of these side stories as well. You know, like your usual like Assassin's Creed game or something like that.
The city is for the most part now open to all of you. You've passed the tutorial.
[00:23:38] Speaker A: Did the title card just come across the screen?
[00:23:41] Speaker B: Yeah. 100% tired of the Dark Star.
[00:23:47] Speaker D: I believe that Yuri and Alouette wanted to go or at least one of them wanted to go to the family home. Was that Yuri?
[00:23:55] Speaker A: I wanted to go to my house. Yuri wanted to go to their house. Either way, we want to go to Silver Court.
[00:24:01] Speaker B: Silver Court is definitely looking like where it's going to be.
[00:24:04] Speaker F: And Alistair wanted to go to his house? Who doesn't want to go to a house?
[00:24:09] Speaker A: Grapewing's kids are in Silver Court too. Question mark. Yeah.
[00:24:14] Speaker E: Is Alistair in Silver Court?
[00:24:17] Speaker F: No, no, Alistair's house. The Wizard House.
[00:24:20] Speaker E: Oh, the tower. Gotcha.
[00:24:22] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:24:23] Speaker F: Everybody's going to a house.
[00:24:24] Speaker B: Is the observation, is Niall going to a house?
[00:24:29] Speaker G: Um.
Elaborate.
[00:24:33] Speaker A: Everyone else is going to a house. Are you going to a house? Um, also, what are you doing?
[00:24:39] Speaker G: Oh my God. Um, fucking. Whose house? Are you all going to your own house?
[00:24:44] Speaker A: Lots of different houses. Yes.
[00:24:45] Speaker G: I don't have a house to go to.
[00:24:48] Speaker A: You can tag along. You can stay behind. I don't know. I don't know what we're doing. We're still planning stuff.
[00:24:53] Speaker E: Go with Alistair to the Wizard Tower.
[00:24:55] Speaker G: Yeah, I did, but I want to make friends with everyone else. I don't get to talk to anyone else in this group except for graveling and sometimes all the word. I miss you guys.
[00:25:06] Speaker A: Well, here's your opportunity to talk to Alistair, who is not one of those previous two people.
[00:25:11] Speaker E: Exactly.
[00:25:12] Speaker G: Okay.
[00:25:13] Speaker E: You don't want to meet Yurida's family.
[00:25:16] Speaker G: Yes, I do.
[00:25:17] Speaker E: No, you do not.
[00:25:19] Speaker G: They seem pretty hot to me, actually.
Anyways, I guess, Alistair, if you want a companion to go to the Wizard Tower with, I'll. I'll go with you to the Wizard Tower. Right now. We're setting out stuff. We're still waiting for our paper. Oh, we're not waiting for our papers.
Yeah, we got everything.
[00:25:37] Speaker F: Yeah. There is the question of are we able to do that safely?
[00:25:42] Speaker A: True.
[00:25:43] Speaker G: The ghouls technically haven't been gotten rid of. Right. Are they still there?
[00:25:47] Speaker B: They're on their way out.
[00:25:49] Speaker G: Okay. We might want to wait a little bit longer.
[00:25:52] Speaker B: Probably at some point this week. Juniper will have the completed.
[00:25:57] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:25:58] Speaker G: Okay. We'll have some time then. Maybe not the Wizard Tower this week.
I'm realizing how little of a life that I have to get back to.
[00:26:12] Speaker F: We also need to investigate that mirror stabbing.
[00:26:16] Speaker A: We could. We could also investigate the automatons. Yeah, we could also do neither.
[00:26:23] Speaker E: Well, I want to go back to my place because money.
[00:26:27] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:26:28] Speaker E: And then I have someone I want to talk to in Clockwork Halls, which works with the automaton thing.
[00:26:35] Speaker A: Okay, so Yuri has a route to the automatons.
[00:26:39] Speaker F: They're probably a bigger immediate threat than the random mirror stabbing. Unless we hear more from that area.
[00:26:48] Speaker G: I don't know.
[00:26:49] Speaker D: Mirrors are everywhere and. Yeah, automatons are mostly in Clockwork Hall.
[00:26:54] Speaker A: It's true. We could be stabbed in a bathroom right now.
[00:26:57] Speaker E: You should tell us about all These mirror things. Leith.
[00:27:02] Speaker D: That'S out of character knowledge. Dustin, what are you talking about?
[00:27:05] Speaker G: I don't think Leith. I don't think Leith could tell us about mirror. She can barely reflect on her own actions.
[00:27:11] Speaker A: Is that a Dampier joke?
[00:27:14] Speaker G: No, it's an insult to her terrible character. Joke.
[00:27:18] Speaker A: Rude. How dare you, girl.
[00:27:21] Speaker G: You've seen her?
[00:27:23] Speaker B: Yes, Yeah, I have seen her.
[00:27:26] Speaker A: And she's hot.
[00:27:28] Speaker G: And that's her only redeeming quality.
[00:27:31] Speaker A: And her heart of gold. Okay, so we want to go to Silver Court. We.
Because Yuri wants to go to Clockwork Call also, we might. Might as well swing by there. If not everyone, then part of us.
Is there anywhere that we want to go besides those two places?
I don't know if we can investigate the circus in a week, but we might as well try if we want to. Or we can wait for it to do something else.
[00:28:00] Speaker B: You can at least make, like, initial roles if you want to start, like, looking into things.
For sure.
[00:28:08] Speaker C: Anyways, I think it should be civil. Silver Court to Clockwork.
One, over half of us is already going to Silver Court, and then the two people that aren't are Squishy.
Two, if the clock. If we get attacked by automatons at the clock workplace, we might just want to be there as a group. Once again, the. The. The two questionable ones are very squishy. So in theory, you can go and do your own thing, but if you get jumped, you are most certainly getting jumped. You know what I mean? It's. It's one of those things are we're safer and it's not an even split.
Yeah.
So you might as well all go to Silver Court and then to Clockwork that way.
And start making smaller roles for Dark Like Bazaar. Because Dark Like Bazaar is an easy jump.
[00:29:05] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:29:06] Speaker A: I also think it would be useful to.
And maybe this is something we should have done with our rebellion stuff. I don't know. Start tugging on things related to the tyrant plot.
[00:29:22] Speaker D: Yeah, I mean, that could be.
[00:29:25] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:29:27] Speaker C: That should have been a rebellion thing, I think.
[00:29:31] Speaker D: I mean, it could also be Silver Court if Alouette and Yuri are going to their homes. Leith could also try to go to her home and see what's happening there. Slash if there's any remains from her mom and unbroken things.
[00:29:48] Speaker G: I heard your mom died. What a terrible fate if you do.
[00:29:57] Speaker A: What is PFS Guide?
[00:30:02] Speaker D: Pathfinder Society.
[00:30:03] Speaker F: Pathfinder Society.
[00:30:05] Speaker A: Okay, so that's a source book. Never mind then.
I was gonna say, I have a talisman for you. If you do go to your House. But I can't use that one yet. I have to go get the talisman or get the formula.
Never mind. Can't help you. You're on your own.
[00:30:21] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, I can. I can always go with you. If it's. If it's breaking and entering, I can do that.
I just want to stop by the kids first. Because on the off chance we get followed. I'm not bringing no followed shit to the home of my.
[00:30:42] Speaker A: Before we go anywhere, I do want to give Gravewing a talisman. You have to affix it to your armor and activate it. But when you do activate it, once you trip somebody. If you trip someone successfully, you deal bludgeoning damage equal to your strength.
And it's. It's a wolf thing. Don't ask where she got it.
With, like, a little leather thong tied around it and, like, a little.
Little bits of, like, metal charms.
[00:31:20] Speaker D: That's for you.
[00:31:21] Speaker A: It only lasts until I do this again, so probably a day.
[00:31:26] Speaker C: I have a question. I am an unarmored individual. Is that okay?
[00:31:31] Speaker A: Oh, I don't know.
[00:31:32] Speaker B: You can attach it to your traveling clothes.
[00:31:35] Speaker C: Yeah, that's what I wanted to double check.
[00:31:37] Speaker A: That should be the link to it. Unless I copied something else in the meantime, but I don't think I did.
[00:31:44] Speaker C: Cool. You give moth mom teeth?
[00:31:47] Speaker A: Yeah.
Yeah, I do.
[00:31:49] Speaker C: She's gonna look at it, and you'll look back at you and be like, this is very in character.
This aligns with what they know about you.
[00:32:00] Speaker A: You're welcome.
[00:32:02] Speaker C: This is kind of cool. Thanks.
[00:32:04] Speaker A: It will help you.
[00:32:05] Speaker C: I think I like how awkward this is so much.
[00:32:17] Speaker A: This is 100% Alouette trying. Trying to vie for a little bit of favor.
[00:32:23] Speaker C: I see it. I saw it.
[00:32:27] Speaker G: Wait. I just realized what I can do, but I've been living off of nothing but beans. Can I go grocery shopping while you're out?
[00:32:36] Speaker B: Probably. I'll. I'll figure out how much it's gonna cost you.
[00:32:40] Speaker G: I want to go grocery shopping. I gotta pick up nice food for everyone.
[00:32:43] Speaker A: Just don't do it at the Silver Court.
[00:32:45] Speaker C: Their prices are ridiculous.
Yeah, we have other rations. We have way more than beans, my guy.
[00:32:52] Speaker A: And we have, like, the bloody Blades Tavern. So, like, we can always.
[00:32:56] Speaker G: Yeah, beans is like a mod. Like an online slang that my friends and I have been using to mean, like, nothing. We have beans.
[00:33:03] Speaker C: Oh, I see.
[00:33:04] Speaker A: Ah.
[00:33:05] Speaker G: Sorry about that. I'm used to being like, we have beans, bro.
[00:33:10] Speaker B: I mean, you've got rice, you've got canned vegetables, you've got pickled fish.
Probably some salted meat.
[00:33:20] Speaker G: Man, how am I supposed to live Laugh Love in this environment?
[00:33:24] Speaker A: You're not.
[00:33:25] Speaker D: You're supposed to live Laugh Love in the Wizard Tower with Alistair.
[00:33:28] Speaker C: Nobody's happy in Malachid.
[00:33:32] Speaker B: So Silver Court sounds like it's gonna be your first destination. Like, you've got six days, so there's a lot you can do in the wink, especially if you're investigating. You know, you're not like, dedicating one thing as like, your what. What you're working on your. Your investigation.
[00:33:51] Speaker A: You know, are we splitting up in the Silver Court to cover since we have so many places to go, or are we generally sticking together?
[00:34:02] Speaker E: I mean, I think we could, because we could do cousins, families, and then Leith and Raven.
First kids and then home with no family.
[00:34:19] Speaker C: I'm cool with that.
[00:34:22] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:34:25] Speaker G: Yeah, yeah, that works.
[00:34:27] Speaker B: All right, so you are going to head through Starlight Bastion, through Coffin Walk, Salvation Row, and over the Brute Bridge into the Silver Court for the most part. Going to be pretty easy to move between districts with your papers. It's when you get to the bridge that I'm going to either need a stealth or a deception roll. Dc, you know, not as high because you have papers. But this is mostly just seeing. Keep. You know, you're not going to be noticed.
Keep your head down, not draw any attention to yourself.
[00:35:04] Speaker C: I'm doing deception, so.
[00:35:07] Speaker G: So can we double check? What? Yeah, probably same. We're just like.
[00:35:11] Speaker C: We're not wanted criminals.
[00:35:12] Speaker G: Don't even look at us.
[00:35:14] Speaker B: Yeah, your first crossing of the bridge goes pretty well. Mark off a silver piece, you pay a toll every time you cross the bridge.
[00:35:24] Speaker A: A whole silver. Jeez.
[00:35:26] Speaker G: Yeah, this is the rich district.
[00:35:29] Speaker C: This is.
[00:35:30] Speaker B: This is like it used to only be a copper a couple weeks ago.
[00:35:34] Speaker F: Is that each of us?
[00:35:37] Speaker B: Yes. All right.
[00:35:41] Speaker C: Damn.
[00:35:41] Speaker G: Okay.
These damn rich people.
[00:35:45] Speaker B: You'll notice that the. The guards on the bridge, there are a lot more than there used to be. There used to only be a couple of people manning the checkpoint on each bridge, but now there. There are more, many more.
And you cross over into the Silver Court.
Silver Court is one of the outwardly one of the most beautiful districts.
Best homes. This is where all of the people with all of the money that are not lamplighters, for the most part, live.
You know, usually you're here, you're important in some way.
So. Yeah. In what order are we going to be doing things is the big question.
[00:36:41] Speaker E: Do faith engraving. You want to go first?
[00:36:45] Speaker C: Yeah, I did say I wanted. I'm doing the kids Stuff first before helping Laithe stuff. So it makes sense.
[00:36:55] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:36:56] Speaker A: For.
[00:36:56] Speaker B: For Laith you're going by. This is a super easy to. To do while you're on your way to swing by Laith's manor.
[00:37:06] Speaker C: No, I'm. We're doing kids first. I don't. On the off chance we get followed from Leith's manor. I'm not bringing anything.
Yeah, so we are.
[00:37:14] Speaker B: Well, my big question is, Leith, are you going inside or are you just looking at the manor?
[00:37:21] Speaker D: I think starting by looking and then if I can get in, like if there aren't guards or something, then trying to get in.
[00:37:29] Speaker B: Cool. Yeah, we'll do. We'll do the kids first and then we'll do the manor. Yep.
So graveling, you head to the house of the Midnights.
[00:37:41] Speaker C: Yeah, I.
So for my deception rule, I think moth mom is we stop maybe during our like the three days or whatever we stop by. Oh no, wait, we live in the Wollstonecraft manor. I stole one of her dresses and I'm wearing it over my regular outfit. I am kind of doing my regular like unassuming, clearly just like, I don't know, staff to someone who lives here kind of look.
I am though wearing my gear underneath, so I'm just really warm. But honestly would probably would prefer being warm right now because I'm cold blooded.
[00:38:27] Speaker B: Honestly, it's. You're. You're moving from. From on into one autumn into winter, essentially.
It's only gonna get colder.
[00:38:39] Speaker C: Yeah. So I'm probably super fine with just all of this.
[00:38:43] Speaker B: According to my calendar, it is somewhere between 8 degrees Celsius to 15 degrees Celsius. And raining today.
[00:38:56] Speaker C: Nice raining. Oh, you're gonna kill her.
Yeah.
[00:39:02] Speaker A: Different reactions to rain.
[00:39:05] Speaker C: Moth mom is there. She exists.
Probably a little grumpy because it's getting colder, but she's wearing a lot of layers right now, so it's a little bit better.
[00:39:22] Speaker B: So how do you approach this manner? And do you tell anybody else about anything as you approach?
[00:39:31] Speaker C: No, not unless I'm asked questions. If I'm not, then I'm approaching a manner where my kids supposedly are and how I'm approaching once again, like I work here, so just not trying to attract any attention. But from the front, unless I've been instructed to enter other places.
[00:39:54] Speaker B: No, you wouldn't have. The family is aware of who you are and they're old friends.
The manor that the Midnights own is nice. It itself is not incredibly ostentatious, unlike a lot of many of the other houses here.
But you can tell they. They come from money.
Anybody who wants to know anything about the midnights make me a.
Either a.
If somebody has an applicable lore or a society check or lathe your gossip thingy 26.
[00:40:37] Speaker D: Gossip lore.
[00:40:38] Speaker B: Gossip lore.
[00:40:39] Speaker C: I'm gonna be honest.
[00:40:40] Speaker G: I am just here for the ride, you guys. Nyle's just here just chilling. Niall's brain's turned off a little bit. Miles like. Okay, we're doing side quests now. No cookbooks in sight.
[00:40:51] Speaker A: Esoteric alert. We want to play here, right?
[00:40:57] Speaker B: Unlikely. Okay.
[00:40:59] Speaker A: Society it is. Oh, that's above a 10.
[00:41:03] Speaker B: 20.
[00:41:04] Speaker A: 21.
[00:41:07] Speaker B: Okay, so just these two roles, I assume.
[00:41:11] Speaker E: I'm not there.
[00:41:13] Speaker A: I'm not there, but I want to roll. She said anyone.
[00:41:16] Speaker C: She said anyone.
[00:41:17] Speaker E: I'm not there, so I'm not rolling.
[00:41:20] Speaker B: So you have the. The Midnights. You have Valeris, Alice and Proxima.
Proxy for short. The daughter.
Yet again, new money. They most people say made their money through mercantile for the past few generations. Graveling, you know a little differently. They've dipped their hands into vigilantism. The parents specifically and Proxy as well.
You know that Proxy was sort of sidekick is a generous term but certainly being trained by the bug family at least on how to fight and various would help with some of the more simpler jobs.
And so Grave wing, do you. You just. Do you knock or do you just enter?
[00:42:20] Speaker C: Do I have a key to this place to enter or. Like that's an important question? Because I don't. I.
Would I still even have it?
[00:42:29] Speaker B: You would. Would not have the key. It would have been with your thing. Unless. Unless you think it's a thing. You would have left the shop instead of take it had on your person when you were arrested.
[00:42:42] Speaker C: It. It would make way more sense to leave it at the shop because why would I need to bring it on a job? You know what I mean? Like having. Having north. Like a key to the shop. Makes sense because.
But yeah. Not. I think I would have left. If it's a key to the midnights, I would have left it at the shop prior to my arrest.
[00:43:09] Speaker B: Yeah, then you would have the key to their home.
[00:43:13] Speaker C: I'mma pull it out and just.
Yeah, just unlock it and walk in. But when I do walk in, I will announce my presence by just saying I'm back.
Mostly. Nope, I'm back. I'm back. That's just. Just on the off chance that they have other people here.
[00:43:43] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah.
As soon as you enter. One thing you've always known about their houses.
The. The midnights are Fetchlinks.
They keep the lights relatively low. The house is very shadowed, and it's kind of how they prefer it.
So you enter sort of the. The entry hall.
I can say words correctly. And you announce this. And you, from the top of the stairs, hear this skidding sound as a. As.
As a teenage girl comes into view with sort of messy gray hair that's been pulled back into a ponytail. She is wearing sort of basic clothing. It looks like maybe she was training. And she's just like, oh, my God, you're back.
[00:44:46] Speaker C: This is Proxima.
[00:44:48] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:44:51] Speaker C: Grave wing's gonna, like, hands up, kind of shrug, but it's wide enough where it's like, you know, come give me a hug. Like, kind of.
[00:45:02] Speaker B: You watch her like she's at the top of the stairs. She's, like, skidded into view. She will essentially, like, ride the banister down and almost leap into your arms.
[00:45:16] Speaker C: Is Proxy taller than me? She is. No.
[00:45:21] Speaker B: Maybe a few inches taller than you.
[00:45:23] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm. I'm not. I'm short in. I'm short in this form. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yeah, give her a nice, like, big, big, big, big hug.
Give her a nice hug. Put her down and just say, okay.
Who else is here?
[00:45:46] Speaker B: Mom, dad. They had boring work meetings earlier, but they should be here. And everyone else. All the kids are here.
[00:45:57] Speaker C: Leith, this is Proxima. Proxima, this is Leith.
We are friends now.
[00:46:08] Speaker B: Proxima will, like, narrow her eyes. She looks at you, Laithe, and then look back to graveling, and then look to Laithe. Laith winks, and she nods.
[00:46:27] Speaker C: Okay, Just either take me to the kiddos or take me to the par. To your parents. Or both.
[00:46:35] Speaker B: I. Yeah. Yeah. Come on. I think we're. They were all actually getting ready to sit down for. For lunch. You're hungry?
[00:46:46] Speaker C: I could eat live hungry.
[00:46:51] Speaker D: Sort of looks at graveling.
I don't want to intrude.
[00:46:57] Speaker C: It's fine.
It should be fine.
[00:47:02] Speaker B: At least any friend is a friend of ours.
[00:47:06] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:47:09] Speaker C: Just don't steal anything in here yet.
We'll start, like. We'll follow, I guess. I don't know.
Yeah.
[00:47:19] Speaker B: Proxy will lead you up the stairs into a.
It's a nice dining room. Not nearly as, like, lavish as some of the ones you've been in late. It's. It's clear the family has money, but it's very smart about how they spend it.
You know, everything is very practical and has, like, a use. They don't seem to be the kind that suspends on things that are very Impractical.
The only portrait you actually see in the entire house is one of the family.
As you enter. There are a bunch of heads that swivel to you. Gravewing and laithe. Gravewing. Describe the children and it'll describe the parents.
[00:48:06] Speaker C: Okay, children. I'll go from oldest to youngest.
Tadashi is like 14, 15, so he's very tall now and he's honest to God just an Asian boy.
He's very humanoid looking maybe save for the eyes which are a bit more reptilian in nature. Otherwise he kind of just blends in with the, with the human vibes a little bit more. He's got. He's got quite long black hair. So it might be in like a ponytail or a bun or something like that right now. And he's definitely undergone the same training Proxy has. So I would assume that he's around. He is an athletic team kind of vibe.
Then there is Hazel. Hazel is very much like mothmom. Way more snake like. Honest to God she might be. She might have her little snake tail out instead because that is a much easier form for her to move around in.
Very notably her tail. If she's in tail form.
The tip of it is. Has been docked, cut off and docked. She. So she's missing. She's. She's very clearly missing a portion of it. And it's like the tit that whatever is left looks a little bit black, probably a little purpley black.
But otherwise she looks like a healthy 12 year old girl, like very ready to start her Pokemon journey kind of vibes.
Otherwise little Asian girl. Also very long hair, probably in braids.
And then lastly the baby hero, he is Lil Wayjin.
The best way to put it is rock snake.
He's a little rock snake.
He's got more. He's got his. His snakey features are there and will probably fade. Not, not fade. They will, they will become more well hidden when he is older. Otherwise he's full on snaking it out and also rock at the same time. I like to think he'll become a geode, you know, like, like that kind of vibe where it's all hidden on the inside later on.
Otherwise he's got like brown black hair, much fairer skin and very, very light brown eyes. Something like that.
Yeah, yeah, those are my kids.
[00:51:20] Speaker B: You see.
You'll see Morales, the. The sort of the. The head of the house is a. Some fetchling man in his probably late 50s.
You know, he has the.
They always kind of have like grayish hair that his has gone like Completely silver by this point and you know, sort of well kept for it's longer than a lot of people usually have theirs.
And he's a nice, well, kempt beard, but he himself, you can tell that he has had like, he's worked in his life. You know, you can see signs where he's starting to like, go to seed a little bit. He's starting to, you know, develop a little bit of like a, you know, not be as athletic as he used to be, you know, but he can still probably like throw down if necessary.
And the, the mother is, is very similar in that way of somebody who most definitely has worked for. Worked in her life and done labor. And yet again it's now at a point where doesn't have to. And you know, you can kind of start seeing the, the someone who's mostly taking care of themselves, but not to a point that they used to sort of the long, sort of silverly, silverly silvery white hair. And they all look up and the kids immediately break away from the table and will run towards you graveling.
[00:53:04] Speaker C: And I get bodied exactly by three children. Yeah, well, I would say it's two. And one of them has thrown the baby or like, well, not thrown, but they have the baby heroes. 1. He's probably. If they don't remove him from the high chair, he's simply trapped. So they gotta bring him, you know. Yeah, but yeah, I get bodied.
Lots of hugs are going around. The kids get. I'm probably wearing some like mask, like, like a cleaner's mask or something like that to cover like the mouth part that's gone. Kids are getting like forehead kisses, honestly, full face kisses at this point because it's been a while, been three weeks. I get the one. Yeah, exactly. I get the one year old. And I'm like, you remember. Oh, thank God you remember me. Oh, my love. You know, just straight, like just, just, just straight up bab. And probably get a whole. I'm going just not hold the one year old because it's a one year old and just kind of live in this moment. It's a good moment, you know?
[00:54:16] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. And you watch as the, the two heads of house will also come over and look at you and say, we're glad you're all right.
We were worried.
[00:54:32] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
I look at, I look at the kids. I just simply. I just was.
I go cover the 1 year old's like ears just be like shit's.
[00:54:50] Speaker B: And Al goes, We were, we were guessing.
We've managed to figure out where you had Ended up.
We don't have any luck finding the other two, but please come join us for lunch.
[00:55:08] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I brought a friend.
This is Leif. This is. Well, these are the Midnights.
Family friends.
[00:55:27] Speaker D: I know they're new money, but have I met the Midnights before at any sort of social function?
[00:55:34] Speaker B: Honestly? Probably. They. They don't.
They don't make it to. They don't do a lot of them, but they will do, like, the big important ones that are on the year and of course, you know, they. Money. So therefore, you know, people will invite them to things and sometimes they'll show up, you know, so you've probably met them in passing before.
And you, You. They definitely look at you because you were very publicly accused of murdering your mother.
Anything I want to say not in front of children. So join us at the table.
[00:56:18] Speaker D: Fair enough.
And I think that she's trying to seem very, like, cool and composed, but is very much like, also trying to sort of be withdrawn and not draw attention to herself here and just let Grave Wing have her, like, family reunion.
[00:56:39] Speaker C: When we get to the table. Grave Wings taking the.
If she wore a hat, it's off. If the mask is off, glasses, all of it's off. It's a free face is the best way to put it.
And just slide. The book that I found back in Twilight Bastion. Right? Yes, that's the district's name. Yeah. Back in. Back there, found a book and was slided over to the older two and be like, I found this while I was predisposed with ghouls.
What's the book, you ask? Perfect.
[00:57:29] Speaker B: What is the book? What does the book tell us about the book?
[00:57:33] Speaker C: Grave Wings kids like to read together and their favorite book series is Mercy Maxson. It is a book series about the adventures of a girl who is the Nephilim to a lost sea God.
The kids had. There's only five books out right now with a spin off along the way. The kids have. They. They have books one to three and then five. So book four was, like, missing this whole time. Oh, you want to know what all five books are called? Glad you asked.
Book one, the Rogue of Storms.
Book two, the Monstrous Sea.
Book three, the Giant's Omen.
Book four, the one that I brought, the War of Mazes. And. And book five is the Last Nephilim.
[00:58:39] Speaker A: Who wrote this series?
[00:58:41] Speaker C: Oh, excellent question.
[00:58:44] Speaker B: Excellent question.
[00:58:45] Speaker C: Peter Johnson.
[00:58:48] Speaker B: Yes. You know, back to everything. And I shared this in chat, so I'll just share to all of our audience for helping you visualize these characters. Veralis is very Corvus from Dishonored and Alice is very Selena Kyle in that way.
And you're led to the table. And one of the things you know about the Midnights is they don't have many servants in their house. They have a few people who clean and who just sort of help them with cleaning and a few people who help them with cooking.
So the few servants there bring in food. It is really well made food made with lots of care and love and probably some of the best food that, I mean, besides Nile's cooking, you've had it in a few weeks.
[00:59:44] Speaker C: While I'm eating, I'm filling basically everyone. I don't really leave much besides like personal party secrets out.
Actually the only thing I'm gonna, I will drop some things. I'm not gonna speak of any of the secrets that Leaf has shared with me because Leith is right here. And also I. I feel like y'all would know each other like okay.
However Moth mom will say I also travel now with Alouette, Valer and Goodness.
[01:00:33] Speaker B: Yurido Moran and Veroska's made some very interesting alliances.
Valers are a complicated family.
[01:00:52] Speaker C: How complicated?
[01:00:54] Speaker B: Well, great grandfather committed heresy. You know, love of all of that and shadow of that has kind of helped stayed over the family for many years.
[01:01:12] Speaker C: Heresy is a lot.
[01:01:16] Speaker B: Yes, but you know, they are relatively insular and for the most part keep to themselves.
Had heard a little bit about the youngest usually is that she never left the house.
Glad that she's getting out there at least.
[01:01:44] Speaker C: I don't think this is what parents have in mind when they want their kids to go out more often.
[01:01:56] Speaker B: Pretty sure it's not, but you know, I wonder how much of her staying in was how much she wanted to stay in and how much of it was being forced to.
[01:02:11] Speaker C: Knowing a couple other things probably.
What else have I missed?
There's a lot of shit that you don't know yet. Not sure how much to I like my eyes like dart over to the older, the older two who are actively training to start doing like this and then I could start back and just be like, I don't know how much you are all prepared to hear.
[01:02:47] Speaker B: This is like, well, I've kept up the training. They've all shown great prowess with weaponry and yeah, everyone is hard at work. I made sure that even though we were unsure about you and everyone else and didn't slack off on their training.
[01:03:09] Speaker C: That'S pretty good.
I do, I don't know where my sister is.
I have potential information on where Tristan is though, so it's a start. It's just gonna take a bit before I can get to him, I think at least.
[01:03:40] Speaker B: And you know, if you need anything from us, you just let us know.
[01:03:46] Speaker C: How involved do you want to. Okay, wait one sec. All the kids get out. No go.
[01:03:53] Speaker B: Proxy is like, you know what?
There's dessert in kit in the kitchen. That looks very good. We're gonna go. Make sure it's ready.
[01:04:05] Speaker C: And don't es drop. I swear to God, plug your ears and go.
[01:04:11] Speaker B: Need proxy just like take the baby.
[01:04:21] Speaker C: When they're out. And I wait like 15 more seconds to catch any stragglers and then I will quietly tell the table I'm. Apparently the world's ending in seven months.
[01:04:39] Speaker B: That's not a lot of time.
[01:04:43] Speaker C: Mm.
[01:04:46] Speaker B: Is there any way we can stop it?
[01:04:54] Speaker C: That's what we are trying to do. And I'm gonna fill them in on the tyrant and anthema in an attempt to low key recruit them.
[01:05:14] Speaker B: Yeah, just because I'm curious. Can you give. Do you have any diplomacy or.
[01:05:26] Speaker C: Oh, God, no diplomacy.
I'm not lying. I have society.
[01:05:32] Speaker B: Society. Society can work.
[01:05:37] Speaker C: It's like I'm just gonna see if there's. I know I have some feats. I don't think they apply here though. I'm pretty sure I have street smart, but I don't think street smart applied street wise. They go straight wise.
[01:05:54] Speaker B: Nice. Yeah. If you want to give me a society role, it's more of just about how you are, you know, giving the information and how concise you are.
[01:06:05] Speaker D: Can I help?
[01:06:07] Speaker B: Yes, you can.
[01:06:08] Speaker D: Is that also rolling society?
[01:06:11] Speaker B: Yes.
27. Okay.
Yeah, you do that. And Alice smiles at her husband and says, well, looks like our days serving the fox are not done yet.
And Ralph smiles and places his hand on top of hers and he goes. I didn't think there were always had an idea that be at least one more job to do.
[01:06:46] Speaker C: Can't promise it'll be any fun, but.
[01:06:51] Speaker B: Neither of us are the type to sit by while we can do something. You know this.
We may not be in the same shape we were years ago, but we've got connections, we've got people.
Whatever we have is open to you as necessary.
[01:07:20] Speaker C: That is a relief.
Kids is not going to be too happy about this next bit. I need to leave. I need to leave them here with you for the moment.
The. The shop is fine. It's not been compromised. But I certainly have been. And it's just we don't have a fully secure not. It's never going to be as secure as here.
[01:07:55] Speaker B: Of course. Yeah, they can stay as long as you want them to.
We'll keep an eye on them, make sure they're safe.
No one's gonna be looking for them.
[01:08:10] Speaker C: That's good.
I will let them know in a bit because just go back. But I will have to leave again soon probably.
[01:08:26] Speaker B: Of course.
[01:08:28] Speaker E: If.
[01:08:28] Speaker B: Remember, if there's any anything you need from us, you can come by, see the kids whenever.
[01:08:37] Speaker C: Surprisingly I actually can though. Took a while to get these documents but we got them.
[01:08:42] Speaker B: Good, good.
Yeah, they've been cracking down so it's having things like that. Very good.
[01:08:55] Speaker C: Why are. Have the. Has the security been like doubled?
[01:09:01] Speaker B: It has to do the Cygnus high priest. Cygnus says it has something to do with just everything that happened with Tizrani and Tizrani's death. Using that as a bit of a.
A bit of a. Just a.
A way to drum up fear and anxiety in people so that they'll just continue handing over their freedoms with the promise of safety.
[01:09:35] Speaker C: River like the little river makes like a small face and look at them be like, I didn't kill him this time.
[01:09:48] Speaker B: We're aware.
[01:09:50] Speaker C: Okay, good. Just in case.
[01:09:54] Speaker B: Pretty sure that we knew you were here when she should have died.
Let's set as much as we can aside for now and just enjoy the lunch.
The proxy and the children return with a very nice looking chocolate cake.
And eventually you get through lunch and the kids are clamoring for any stories that you'll tell them.
[01:10:29] Speaker C: Oh yeah, no, we telling. We definitely telling.
Especially I'm not going to mention anything in. In. In Twilight fashion yet because I have to have something cool to tell them later.
I am however gonna talk about the prison, the prison break.
And I embellish a little bit.
I embellish. A lathe is here so I make lathe seem a lot cooler. I.
I embellish a little bit.
And I talk about the sewer fight as well.
And I'm. I'm gonna be real.
[01:11:10] Speaker B: I.
[01:11:11] Speaker C: The embellishments on the sewer fight is just gross.
It's just we were in the sewer like, like instead of like a slime and be like we fought shit monsters. Like I just straight up just like full embellish because I know they're gonna laugh, but I also know that Hazel's gonna get grossed out and it's super easy to basically just coil around her and make her stuck while I talk about how gross the slimes were. Just full on full teasing really.
But also because she's probably gonna need the most comfort. Both her parents are missing.
So that's a fun. That's a fun little thing. The other one is one heat. He's not gonna remember any of this for the most part.
So. Yeah. Spend some time, some good time with the kids.
[01:12:18] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:12:19] Speaker C: And include Leith.
[01:12:21] Speaker D: I think that Leith spends, like when she's not sort of backing up your embellishments and adding a couple of her own. Is very distracted by the baby and is surprisingly good at entertaining him.
[01:12:37] Speaker C: Hero is a rock snake. Little rock snake.
And by that, I mean like actual ancestry, heritage mix up, I believe is Vishkanya Orid.
[01:12:54] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:12:56] Speaker C: That's what I meant by rock baby. I just. Not like this baby. I don't know. It was. I don't know, little Asian Jack Black. Like. No, like a rock baby.
[01:13:08] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:13:12] Speaker D: I thought maybe he was just a very buff baby.
[01:13:18] Speaker C: I'm a granite. You know, I think he. I think the baby.
He's a very happy baby, that's for. That's for sure. And he's probably very healthy. We can only hope that he is very healthy. We did a lot of work that he would be healthy.
So. Yeah, but it's a good time. It's a good time until I have to go.
[01:13:50] Speaker B: Yeah, unfortunately, you do have to go at some point.
[01:13:55] Speaker C: Make them sit down.
I go. You have to stay here longer. Can't take you guys with me yet.
Home is safe. But not as safe as right here right now. Okay.
[01:14:11] Speaker B: Yeah. No. And Tadashi goes. He's. He says, does it have to do with what happened while you're all missing?
[01:14:20] Speaker C: Yeah, it's.
It's a little weird right now. We're kind of scattered and we. We don't have all the resources that we did before, but we got our safety nets. So I need you to stay in the safety net. I need you. You're in charge.
So I'm going to need you to look after these two.
And if you're not in charge and I look at Proxy, then you're in charge. And I'm going to need you to look after these three.
[01:14:55] Speaker B: Roxy just salutes.
[01:14:59] Speaker C: I'm also gonna say don't go out on your little patrol runs because I know you both go.
So no more of that for now.
[01:15:10] Speaker B: Try to look very innocent.
[01:15:12] Speaker C: Yeah, you think? Lets the door open. Thank goodness.
But no more of that for now. For now, we need to keep a low profile, just until I have more information. Look, and I look at Hazel. Where to get your dad.
[01:15:32] Speaker B: Okay, well, nod there's definitely. She looks like she's trying to be brave and may or may not be failing at it, but she trusts you. She loves you. So, you know, there's. There's the. You know, you've. You've never lied before.
You'll find them. She believes it. As much as, like a child can.
[01:16:04] Speaker A: Mm.
[01:16:06] Speaker C: I can visit more often, though, so I'll try to visit when I can.
If not, keep your windows, like.
Like a crack open. I can send you a message that way. Okay.
[01:16:22] Speaker B: No, they'll nod and say, it's just, you know, as long as it's not as long as last time.
[01:16:28] Speaker C: Won't be as long as last time.
And if it is, I'll try to send you a message.
[01:16:36] Speaker B: Yeah. And, you know, the proxy says, you know, you have any other time I. If I. I'll keep my ears to the ground, see if I hear anything even. Not gonna do patrol, but, you know, running errands for my parents.
[01:16:59] Speaker C: That would be very greatly appreciated. No patrols.
None.
[01:17:07] Speaker B: This is across my heart, you know? Promise?
[01:17:10] Speaker C: Yeah.
Okay.
Big hugs. Now. Everybody gets them hugs again.
[01:17:20] Speaker B: Yep.
[01:17:21] Speaker C: Basically, I feel like. Oh, God, it's like we were gonna go for, like, forehead kisses, but, like, Hazel probably gets a whole bunch more because that's like. That is sentient baby. Hero is unsentient baby right now. So, like, hero here, Hiro, gets more as well, because that's a. That's a one year old. But everybody else. Everybody else gets their hugs and forehead kisses. Ah, fucking proxy could get one too. Why not?
It's a line. Now, if Leif stands in the line, you might accidentally get one too.
[01:17:54] Speaker B: Forehead kisses for Laith.
[01:17:55] Speaker C: Leith, you want a fortnite kiss?
[01:17:58] Speaker D: Yes.
[01:18:01] Speaker C: Leith stands accidentally in line and just gets one.
[01:18:05] Speaker D: Accidentally leans down, accidentally gets in line.
[01:18:09] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. You're, like, so tall.
You're, like, so tall. I forgot. Yeah. Accidentally stands in line, accidentally leans down, accidentally gets a forehead kiss.
Accidents.
[01:18:23] Speaker B: Accidents.
[01:18:24] Speaker C: Happy accidents.
[01:18:26] Speaker B: Yeah. And eventually you've left and you will head over to the Idrisi manor.
[01:18:35] Speaker D: Yeah, I think that Leith would like to pick up just, like, a cheap, like, box of pastries or something, and then use the disguise scarf that we have. Masquerade scarf to look like she's just, like, delivering something from a shop because this is the most conspicuous place for her to be.
[01:18:58] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, you've got the masquerade scarf. So. Yeah, yeah, you.
You enter.
You just go in through the front door, side door, or whatcha doing?
[01:19:14] Speaker D: I mean, I'm gonna look around as we Approach the property to see, like, if there's evidence of people in there. Like, I don't know if they would send guards or lamplighters or something with the murder or what you do with assets when the person to whom they are all going to go is out of the country.
So, yeah. Just a first scan of. Does it seem like there is life here?
[01:19:43] Speaker B: Yes.
There are servants moving around.
[01:19:51] Speaker D: That is incorrect.
There should not be serpents moving around.
[01:19:57] Speaker B: There are servants moving around.
[01:19:59] Speaker C: You.
[01:20:00] Speaker B: You see them going about their daily thing, daily rituals.
[01:20:06] Speaker D: Okay.
Leith has snuck in and out of this house very frequently.
Can I go towards one of the routes that I would use, like, to get into my bedroom and get a sort of peek at, like, is there people there? What's going on here?
[01:20:32] Speaker B: Yeah, give me a stealth roll.
[01:20:36] Speaker D: Okay, that's a 19 on the die for a total of 31.
[01:20:44] Speaker B: 31. Yeah. You sneak in through all of the old paths that you're aware of into your room, and you see that most of your things have been packed away in crates.
And as you look around in the hall, there are occasionally people who move by their maids cleaning.
You hear someone mutter about the mistress of the house.
[01:21:22] Speaker C: I just want. I just. Before we do anything, I just. I just want to, like, a check.
I fall, like, I'm. I'm with you right now.
[01:21:31] Speaker D: Yeah. I assume that you're, like, coming along with me.
[01:21:34] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think I, like. I like. I don't know before, like, jump into your place. I, like, ditch my skirt by the door or something like that so I can grab it and, like, jump in and leave and still be in disguise. But, like, I just want. I just wanted to, like, clear that because I said I was in a dress earlier. Now everything's back on, and I'm just making sure I'm in my pants mode, you know?
[01:21:58] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, you. You definitely do that. And you hear the same things that Lathe would about the mistress of the house.
[01:22:08] Speaker C: Look at Leith.
And I look back at the. The general direction of the voice, and I look back at Leif.
[01:22:19] Speaker D: I don't want to believe either option. I don't want to believe that Nadia is back in town, and I don't want to believe that my mother has been revived.
[01:22:30] Speaker A: But.
[01:22:33] Speaker D: I guess it's important to know which it is.
So when there's a break in, people sort of passing through the hallways, I would like to attempt to go into Nadia's room.
[01:22:51] Speaker B: Give me another stealth roll, both of you.
[01:22:57] Speaker C: Oh. Oh.
[01:23:02] Speaker D: I'm also, like. I don't Know if I want to use a hero point. I got above a 10 on my roll, so I will not.
[01:23:07] Speaker C: I don't know if I could. I mean, can. Is. Is there potential for me to do better than this? Yes. Not by much because of, like, I'm not trained in stealth. If I was trained in stealth, I'd actually have a much higher modifier. But I'm not trained in stealth, so it's hilarious because my modifier is pretty high for not being trained in stealth. So, yeah, dirty 20. I'm going to. I think I'll just keep it because it makes. It's. It's. I think it's okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:23:46] Speaker B: You're currently just trying to sneak by, like, basic maids and stuff.
[01:23:50] Speaker C: I was going to say, I'm hoping it's the basic ass maids. And they don't, like. I don't know, their heads don't do full 360s when they see us, like. And they're all, I don't know, Beetlejuice maids or something wild look at things. Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for.
[01:24:06] Speaker B: You sneak into Nadia's room and it's. There's no one in there.
All of her stuff is still laid out, has not been packed away.
[01:24:16] Speaker D: But it doesn't seem like she's. Does it seem like she's living there? Like that she has come home okay, I think late, sort of doesn't quite slide down the door, but looks like they want to and are sort of squeezing their fists, tugging their hair a little bit.
[01:24:49] Speaker C: We didn't happen to have her affluent aunt.
[01:24:54] Speaker D: I echo said the estate went to Nadi, and there's no one who would be able to sweep in. Not.
Not in this time frame.
[01:25:08] Speaker C: Do you want to keep looking to see if she's here?
[01:25:13] Speaker D: My mother?
[01:25:15] Speaker C: No, your sister.
Just in case. Maybe she moved rooms.
[01:25:24] Speaker D: I think she wouldn't leave all her books in here. If she were back, it would be.
This looks like it did when she left.
[01:25:36] Speaker C: Are you sure she left?
[01:25:41] Speaker D: I'm certain. I sent her off. I saw her off on Astro Hinder with a guard. Right.
[01:25:48] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:25:51] Speaker C: You know, people U turns exist.
[01:25:57] Speaker D: She wanted to travel. It's not like I was banishing her. She wanted to travel anyway. Before starting at Ravenswood.
[01:26:06] Speaker C: I.
[01:26:09] Speaker D: I just. I don't know how she'd get back this quickly. And if she were back, she would have come by the prison.
[01:26:20] Speaker C: Well, we were only there for two weeks. Maybe she came back when we were out.
[01:26:26] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:26:28] Speaker B: I mean, it can't hurt to check your Mother's bedroom.
[01:26:31] Speaker D: I was gonna say we could check. So to my knowledge, is my mother's bedroom in any way? Like trapped or warded or anything?
[01:26:46] Speaker B: Not last time you were here, she.
[01:26:48] Speaker D: Had been murdered by her own child. Since the last time I was here.
[01:26:52] Speaker C: But pedantics give me.
[01:26:56] Speaker B: Give me a perception check.
[01:27:01] Speaker D: Is a 10.
I'll keep it 19 19.
[01:27:09] Speaker B: Not that you see.
[01:27:12] Speaker D: Okay, yeah, I will lead graveling into my mom's bedroom.
[01:27:21] Speaker B: Yeah. As you.
As you open the door into the bedroom, you see room that you. You're familiar with. You've seen it all your life where your mother is.
And it kind of takes you a moment because she's standing. She's sitting so incredibly still at the vanity, wearing a black dress with a veil over her face.
And then the body kind of turns towards you in a way that seems unnatural with how it moves. Kind of the unnatural grace.
And you can't see, but under the veil, but you hear the sound of.
You remember you stabbed her through the throat.
The kind of sound of someone trying to speak but unable to because of, you know, damage to the throat. Kind of a breathy gasp and moan. And I think that's where we're gonna leave it.
[01:28:35] Speaker C: Jesus Christ.
He's not even here.
[01:28:42] Speaker G: Well, thank you everyone for listening to another wonderful epis episode of Goblins and Gays. If you like what we do here, feel free to follow us on Twitter at golfits and gaze Instagram Patreon. We'll post all sorts of amazing content. And remember, if you're ever going to kill your mom, feed the body to your best friend so there's no way to revive.
[01:29:03] Speaker C: Thanks and have a great day.
That. That's a certain. That's actually a very, very good question. If Schism eats the body, can that be revived? Like. Like we're talking about high level, like surviving here.
[01:29:23] Speaker A: If they do the one that doesn't.
[01:29:24] Speaker E: Need a body, suddenly we're an alien.
[01:29:28] Speaker A: Right? Because Estrella revived a couple people without a body.
[01:29:31] Speaker B: No problem.
[01:29:31] Speaker C: I think the answer is hungry.
[01:29:33] Speaker G: Yeah, you need a much higher level spell and. Or homebrew in order to pull that off. A lot of the stuff.
[01:29:38] Speaker B: As long as you have the bones, I think you can do it with like resurrection or.
[01:29:42] Speaker G: I'm not leaving the bones. I'm eating everything.
[01:29:44] Speaker A: Eat those bones.
[01:29:45] Speaker B: Bones.
[01:29:46] Speaker A: And you don't. I will talk for someone who isn't a cattle.
[01:29:50] Speaker C: All right, I'll eat your wrong.
[01:29:52] Speaker G: Anyway, that is all.
[01:30:02] Speaker A: Smart.
[01:30:28] Speaker C: Sa.
[01:30:54] Speaker A: Your.
[01:31:19] Speaker D: It.
