[00:00:43] Speaker A: Waking up dreaming dark so long I cannot find meaning hold my hand let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all the these demons always roam me in this red light because me he is reaching out consuming. [00:01:29] Speaker B: And welcome back to Goblets and Gays. I'm Aubrey, your GM and we'll get on into things in just a moment. Let my cast introduce themselves, who they are and who they're playing, and then we'll figure out where we left off. [00:01:45] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Maki. My friend's a she her and I play Gravewing, the Nagaji sylph vigilante monk slash air kineticist who also uses she her pronouns and she is the party mom slash strategist of the Rebellion. [00:02:02] Speaker D: Hello, hello, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they them and I play Laith Idrisi iv, the matricidal, dampier, dandy, rogue and spymaster who uses she any pronouns. [00:02:15] Speaker E: Hello, I am Dusty, I use they he pronouns and I'm playing Yurido, just Yurido. Still, they are our nephilim cursed boy of a problem. They are going to be the party and is Rebellion's firebrand and they also use the he pronouns. [00:02:36] Speaker A: Hello, I am Faris, I use she. [00:02:37] Speaker F: Her pronouns and I am playing Alouette. [00:02:39] Speaker A: Valer, a totally normal nephilim thaumaturge bard having a very normal and good time learning all about her way more cursed family. She also uses she her pronouns and is the anathema partisan. [00:02:53] Speaker G: Hello, I am Sparlock, and both me and my character use he him pronouns. I'm going by Alistair Whiskerfield, wizard detective extraordinaire, as heir to the fine distinguished family of wizard mice, Ratzerts, Esoki Arcanists, I swear I was always aware of it. I keep my whiskers to the ground to uncover the truth of the powers that be who subjugate us. By which I mean I'm our recruiter. [00:03:25] Speaker H: And hello to round off the group. I am Tick, I have he, she they pronouns and today I'll be playing Nile, a flesh warp sorcerer who is just a totally ordinary cook and quartermaster for the group and definitely not a cannibal. For parentheses, he's a cannibal, but it's a dietary restriction, so don't be too mean to him. Last time on this game that we play we decided to go to the rich people homes because honestly, we've done some missions here and there. We've kind of gathered some information. We've kind of stayed under the radar right now to my knowledge hopefully think but we did. All I remember is the mistake of braveling and Le finding Le's mom and not actually being dead and I kind. [00:04:07] Speaker B: Of wanted to get back to that. [00:04:09] Speaker H: Like I'm sorry Lou and Yuri, you're going to your mom's house but like bruh y'all good No, I mean she's. [00:04:16] Speaker D: Pretty clearly dead I think that she was just a zomboy now. [00:04:26] Speaker I: We'Ll get. [00:04:27] Speaker B: An answer to that eventually but cousins. [00:04:34] Speaker E: Cousins. [00:04:35] Speaker I: Yes. [00:04:36] Speaker B: You two were heading home different homes? Yes. [00:04:42] Speaker E: Yes. [00:04:45] Speaker A: And I mean I do think Lou would suggest splitting up for. For time's sake just to be efficient. [00:04:59] Speaker E: Yes. You're though would also look at loons like if anything happens there just use your magic to call me. [00:05:14] Speaker F: I don't think that I can do. [00:05:18] Speaker A: That but I'm double checking because I could be thinking of a different person. [00:05:26] Speaker F: Good question. [00:05:27] Speaker H: Alistair and I are here right like this is the group we went with. [00:05:30] Speaker A: I thought so. I thought so. [00:05:32] Speaker H: Yeah. If you want one of us can come watch either of you. So no one's alone? [00:05:36] Speaker F: No, no it is fine. I'm just going to see my father. [00:05:40] Speaker A: We are very close so. [00:05:42] Speaker H: Well Alistair and I can come with you just so you're safe. [00:05:46] Speaker F: I would be more concerned about Yuri's house personally. [00:05:57] Speaker E: I don't know why you say it. [00:05:58] Speaker A: Like that but I don't know why you would not. [00:06:02] Speaker E: I understand. I. I'm with the only thing that. [00:06:07] Speaker F: Is in my house is a very sad father. [00:06:12] Speaker H: Well, I don't know much about father so maybe one of us should come along just in case I. I do think it's a good idea for one of us to come along with each of you technically you're kind of should stick together buddy sister. [00:06:25] Speaker F: That is true. I also just don't know how to explain either of you. [00:06:30] Speaker E: I think just knowing your father Alistair, we should go with Lou. [00:06:39] Speaker F: Sure. [00:06:41] Speaker G: That works for me. [00:06:43] Speaker E: I also that I would like to let Lou lead the way and I would like to whisper to Alistair could you like snoop around their house? I think their dad is keeping secrets. [00:07:06] Speaker G: Snoop around? Cuz dad's keeping secrets. I love secrets. [00:07:11] Speaker E: Just don't tell Lou please. And also tell her it was your idea. Please. [00:07:19] Speaker G: You assume I'm gonna get caught. [00:07:21] Speaker E: I. No, I'm just. I who's very perceptive when she wants. [00:07:25] Speaker I: To be. [00:07:29] Speaker E: And then I'm gonna look at Nile and just. Just be careful what you touch in this place as you go to my place. [00:07:39] Speaker H: Understood. I should cover all the mouths right? [00:07:43] Speaker E: Yes. Yes. Not for me. I don't care. [00:07:48] Speaker G: But most of the mouths, you gotta leave the one. [00:07:53] Speaker E: True, True, true, true, true. [00:07:55] Speaker B: The normal mouth where the mouth is normally supposed to be normal. [00:07:58] Speaker F: Normal, normal. [00:08:03] Speaker B: So, Alouette, we'll start with you once more. It's been a bit since we've seen your house. [00:08:09] Speaker I: What does it look like? [00:08:13] Speaker A: Yes. I prepared for this. I thought. I thought I prepared for this. [00:08:24] Speaker F: Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. [00:08:27] Speaker A: I did prepare for this. I just hid it in a weird place. Yeah. So this is the Valere estate. It is a very old house. It is arguably one of the oldest houses in the district. Probably it's been around for a while. And the outside definitely carries old grace, I would say. But it is showing its age. It probably could have used a new roof like years ago. Definitely needs new paint. But it's got, you know, similar to Talos Mansion. There's like a gate and a little courtyard and then the manor itself self. [00:09:07] Speaker B: Yeah. How do you approach. [00:09:13] Speaker A: Alistair was pulled aside after Lou started to walk off, correct? Yep. [00:09:19] Speaker E: Yes. [00:09:20] Speaker A: Briefly, I think while you're lingering. Lou is. It may not even work, but Lou is going to pull out a little compact mirror and catch in its reflection both her face and the face of someone walking behind her and just hum the pre chorus to some popular really catchy song until the person behind her starts to hum the chorus without thinking about it. And then their faces in the mirror swap and she's gonna switch images with the other person. Now that other person does get a saving throw. [00:10:13] Speaker B: Yeah, they get a will save. I'll get some basic stats. They're just a commoner. That's not gonna help them. They rolled a two on the die. [00:10:25] Speaker A: Marvelous. [00:10:27] Speaker F: Then. [00:10:28] Speaker A: Yeah, it can last for 24 hours or until dismissed. And then she's going to head home and hope that Alistair goes after the wrong blue since she looks like whoever was standing behind her. [00:10:44] Speaker B: Alastor, make me a perception check versus. [00:10:50] Speaker A: It counts like an illusory disguise. It's called Exchange image. It is my first level spell. [00:10:58] Speaker G: Oh, goodness. All right. You said perception. Oh, there's my perception. I am an expert in perception. Let's see if I can make it. That is a 28 as a crit. [00:11:19] Speaker B: A 28? Yeah. I think it takes you. [00:11:25] Speaker I: It takes you a second. [00:11:27] Speaker B: So Lou actually does have time to sort of put a little bit of distance. But you do correctly guess which one is the. The right one. Lou just has like a minute or two head start. [00:11:42] Speaker G: I mean, that's all it takes. As Slow as I move. But I will say scramble, scramble, scramble. Oh, wait, I moved 30ft. Never mind. I will still scramble, scramble, scramble to catch up. [00:11:57] Speaker A: Yeah, if you don't say anything about that, then when she gets to her house, she will stop for a moment and kind of stare at it and then let the illusion drop. And she doesn't have her house key anymore because it was taken in prison. So she's going to knock. [00:12:21] Speaker B: Yeah. And you. You don't usually have. You don't have live in servants, right? [00:12:31] Speaker I: So it's. It's a. [00:12:34] Speaker B: It's probably a minute or so you have you after you knock. Maybe you're even thinking about knocking a second time when the door opens just a crack and you hear your father's voice. [00:12:46] Speaker I: I told you not. Not to do. Come, come, come, come, come. I don't even know if they're watching the house. [00:12:59] Speaker F: I know, Papa. [00:13:02] Speaker A: And she will glance back just to see if her little trick worked or not, and then go inside. [00:13:11] Speaker G: Yeah. Well, it's been a minute, so I guess I would have caught up to you at this point, right? [00:13:17] Speaker B: I. I would say like you. You're catching up like right as like she's heading inside. [00:13:23] Speaker G: Wait, wait. [00:13:31] Speaker I: You have a friend. [00:13:36] Speaker A: And there is a moment where she considers denying knowing Alistair, then goes, oh. [00:13:48] Speaker F: Papa, this is Asta. I met some. I met him while I was out and about with Yuri and I thought you would like to meet him because he was a wonderful detective. [00:14:03] Speaker I: It's lovely to meet you, I'm sure. Please, please, please come in before anyone sees. [00:14:08] Speaker G: Don't worry. We weren' followed. Lou took care of that. Lou knew to hide because they are always watching. [00:14:17] Speaker I: Even more so now. I'll put the kettle on. [00:14:22] Speaker F: Oh, don't worry, Papa. I'll handle that. [00:14:25] Speaker I: Okay. [00:14:27] Speaker B: It will open and let you in. And the house has kind of become a little bit more of a disarray in your absence. [00:14:34] Speaker F: I would imagine so, yeah. [00:14:38] Speaker A: I think probably the first thing anyone notices is the large pristine portrait on the wall of Alouette's mother. Though I would think that at first glance Alastair would probably mistake it as a giant portrait of Lou because they have a very, very similar. But other than that, it's nice, but it's a little tattered around in this little foyer. Like, the floorboards squeak quite a bit. The chandelier is missing one of like the little globes on it. But the. The portrait is. Is impeccable. Perfectly cleaned. But yeah, I think as soon as she's in the house again she's just gonna fall into, like, old habits and, like, lead Alastair and her father Bernard into the parlor, which is like, there's three people, three places that anyone who visits the house is allowed to go. And it is the foyer, the hallway to the parlor, and the parlor. And the parlor. Not the parlor, the hallway to the parlor. It's like a portrait hall kind of. And it's just lined with portraits of every Valere to ever live ever. Except for there's like clearly a missing spot where like. Like, it's just like a big spot. And you're like, oh. And then there's like, some that have been. Clearly they don't hold a place of honor. Like, you could probably find Yuri's portrait up here somewhere, but it is, like, hidden in the corner, despite the many times Lou has tried to move it. [00:16:26] Speaker G: What's the missing one? [00:16:29] Speaker A: I mean, you're a smart detective, so I think you would probably be able to guess that it is like, probably like a progenitor and, you know, like rumors about the Valeres, right? Were you one of the ones who knew that? [00:16:48] Speaker G: I think my rumor involved you murdering people. [00:16:57] Speaker A: I. I mean, it's up to Aubrey whether or not you would have heard the specific rumor about the. The Valer grandfather. Great grandfather. Great, great grand grandfather of unknown greatness. [00:17:11] Speaker G: I. I'm curious. [00:17:14] Speaker B: Give me your. If you want to toss me a conspiracy lore roll. [00:17:21] Speaker G: I definitely do. Blind G. Emerald. There we go. [00:17:27] Speaker B: And honestly, it's hard to say what is not odd about this house. [00:17:34] Speaker A: There's also like a family portrait of Lou's immediate family, but it was clearly painted before Lou was born, and instead of getting a new one done, they just kind of took a tiny little like locket sized portrait of Lou and just sort of hung it in the corner underneath it. [00:17:53] Speaker I: Yeah, you've. [00:17:54] Speaker B: You've definitely heard the rumors. There are a lot of rumors around the Lou's family. It's. Yeah, there's something happened years and years and years ago, and it's kind of left its black mark on the family. And they've. They've hung on because they had money and connections, but slowly, years by years, the money and the connections has been going away. [00:18:22] Speaker A: Yeah, you'd probably guess that's who is missing from the portrait hall. [00:18:27] Speaker G: It's amazing the things, money and connections can help your family survive. You know what I mean? [00:18:36] Speaker A: Lou does not respond to that statement. [00:18:43] Speaker F: Would you like a tea? We have tea and water and. [00:18:51] Speaker A: And she like, glances at her father to see if there's Something fancier than that assumes. The answer is no, but maybe. [00:18:58] Speaker I: Do we have some bottles of wine? A little early in the day for that. Not that it ever stopped me before. [00:19:09] Speaker F: I know that. Do you? [00:19:11] Speaker G: Then I. I've eaten recently. I could take some water, though. [00:19:17] Speaker A: All right. [00:19:18] Speaker F: I will be right back. Have a seat. And. And don't wander off because some of the upper floors are dangerous depth floorboards need replaced and I have not had time to do them. And they're a little trickier than my skill set. Okay. [00:19:37] Speaker A: And then she's gonna hustle off to the kitchen and leave you in the foyer, which is the only other nice looking part of the house that is still, like, reminiscent of its days of grandeur, but has absolutely been maintained by an amateur. [00:19:58] Speaker G: I will make small talk with dad. I'm curious about these people who are watching the house. I want to take this time to hobnob conspiracies. [00:20:17] Speaker I: Yeah, he'll look at you and say, are you. Did you. Did you meet Lou in prison? I'm aware of what happened. I'm pretty sure it's a lie. She's never been the kind to kidnap people, but. Not sure how much I know about my own child. [00:20:49] Speaker G: I mean, probably we were all put together and I was framed by the Scriabins. You know how those Nobles are. [00:20:59] Speaker I: It's like. Yes, I'm aware of how the Nobles are, but I'm pretty sure that somebody has been watching the house. Been finding rolled cigarettes by the gate more and more. [00:21:23] Speaker G: So whoever it is, they smoke. [00:21:26] Speaker I: Did? Yes. [00:21:27] Speaker G: Maybe some sort of fire demon. [00:21:33] Speaker I: I mean, the one would think it was a fire demon. They would be completely ash and no stubs. [00:21:40] Speaker G: You're right. [00:21:43] Speaker I: So you are your detective? [00:21:47] Speaker G: Yes, yes. I solve all sorts of mysteries, magical and otherwise. [00:21:56] Speaker I: And do one of your cases put you in prison? [00:22:01] Speaker G: I was investigating. There was a maid that disappeared. She was a maid for the Scriabin family. [00:22:10] Speaker I: People nod and say, yeah, the scabons are new money. [00:22:19] Speaker B: Says distastefully. [00:22:22] Speaker G: New money. I. I find their. Well, I guess old money would hide their dirty laundry better. You're not supposed to do things at your own house. [00:22:38] Speaker I: Among other things. But yeah, they've the musical instruments, but it's brought them their money. [00:22:47] Speaker G: You say musical instruments. I think it's some sort of magic. [00:22:53] Speaker I: No, I mean, they do make musical instruments. They have a piano from them. They thought by gifting me a piano, it'd make me more likely to be their friend. [00:23:03] Speaker B: I guess. [00:23:06] Speaker G: Is it in here? [00:23:08] Speaker I: That's in the study. I Think. [00:23:12] Speaker G: I should take a look at it. They might be using them to spy on you. Have you heard of ascending stone? [00:23:21] Speaker I: I'm familiar with the concept but usually that's a two way thing. [00:23:28] Speaker G: Yeah, but you know the, these, these, they have connections. You don't know what sort of magic they could make. [00:23:37] Speaker I: Then they're listening to a lot of conversations when I talk to myself. Usually no one else in the house. But please, if you want to examine the piano, it's in the study through there. Don't ignore all of the books. I need to clean. [00:23:56] Speaker G: Which way and I will immediately go to said piano. [00:24:01] Speaker B: It will like point you through like. [00:24:03] Speaker I: A door and, and it's just, it's a study that has seen better days. It needs dusting, the books need to be put away and there's. [00:24:14] Speaker B: It's lots of teacups with half empty tea and a half empty wine bottle. [00:24:22] Speaker G: Unfortunately I did not bring my detect magic today. Unfortunate but I will snoop around. But I am especially. I am actually snooping around on the piano. I am suspicious of this piano. Give me a perception check and I will. Yeah, I think I would argue that I am following a lead since I'm supposed to be investigating this house. [00:25:03] Speaker B: As requested, it's in the house so it counts as investigating the house. [00:25:09] Speaker G: That is an 11. [00:25:11] Speaker B: It's a piano. It is very out of tune and it hasn't been played in months. At least play a couple of keys and it's all out of tune and you can't find anything odd about it. [00:25:26] Speaker I: It's. [00:25:27] Speaker B: It was at one point rather beautifully made but after years of necessarily misuse but just being forgotten, it's started to not necessarily show its age but not be as nice as it used to be. [00:25:49] Speaker I: And Lou, I think it's about this. [00:25:50] Speaker B: Time where you finish with the tea. [00:25:55] Speaker F: How long ago was the piano gifted to the family? [00:25:58] Speaker A: Like was it quite a while ago? [00:26:00] Speaker I: It was quite a while ago. [00:26:01] Speaker B: I think it was probably like 15 years ago or so that it was gifted to the family because it was right around the time the family this grabbin started to rise in popular in like in status. [00:26:14] Speaker A: Then as you're messing with it from the doorway holding a tray of tea, Lou will say it was my mother's. [00:26:26] Speaker F: And it has not been played since she died. [00:26:31] Speaker G: I'm doing like the two year old playing Chopsticks. I heard it was gifted by the Scriabins. I was trying to make sure there's no magic on it. You can never trust them. [00:26:45] Speaker F: There was. It would have been Used up long ago and would be pretty worthless considering it has not been used in, I don't know, 14. 14 years, give or take. [00:27:01] Speaker G: Oh, you brought the tea. Thank you, yes. [00:27:04] Speaker F: There you are. [00:27:08] Speaker I: If I know you're coming, I would have cleaned. [00:27:10] Speaker F: Oh, no, Papa, it's fine. You know, I handle that fitter. Anyway, I was just. You did get my note, didn't you? [00:27:24] Speaker I: Yes, it got that note and then too bad. 24 hours later, guards showed up in my door saying you had been arrested. [00:27:33] Speaker A: Oh, was that. [00:27:36] Speaker F: Is I. That is what I was doing, Yes, I do. I did go a little bit to prison, yes. [00:27:46] Speaker I: They wouldn't really tell me too much vague things about you going to prison for kidnapping poor people. [00:27:57] Speaker F: No, obviously. No, that is ridiculous. Oh, no. Yuri and I were just exploring the city and we ran into sort of an incident. It wasn't a problem and it wasn't dangerous. Don't even have to worry. It was fine. It just sort of got out of hand and there was some miscommunication, but we couldn't really defend ourselves because we were sort of unconscious at the time. And then. Then after that, they did not want to listen. [00:28:33] Speaker I: Yes. They would never let me in to see you. I tried to pull the new strings I have left, but unfortunately, those are less and less. [00:28:48] Speaker F: I am grateful that you tried. I was much more worried about you than I was about myself. [00:28:55] Speaker G: Did any of the guards smoke? [00:28:59] Speaker I: I don't remember. [00:29:02] Speaker G: Nobody pays attention to the details. [00:29:07] Speaker I: They were just guards and uniforms that. It just told me my daughter had gone to jail, so I wasn't paying that close attention. [00:29:17] Speaker F: Well, any of them. Did any of the other. Did the hostility family know? Perhaps. I don't know. Maybe Paloma could have. Did she know? Did she attempt any. Anything she has pretty. Pretty decent. [00:29:40] Speaker I: They certainly all knew. Unfortunately, news like that travels quickly in the Silver Court. They knew. Most of the Nimbles knew. [00:29:56] Speaker F: Oh, I'm sorry, Papa. That's not how you thought things would go. Wasn't supposed to be anything like that. [00:30:07] Speaker I: Did they let you out? Did they drop the charges? [00:30:12] Speaker F: Yes, Papa. [00:30:14] Speaker B: These are only a deception check. [00:30:18] Speaker A: I'm gonna use my prettiest dye that I stuck out in moonlight for a week. Out of the hope. The foolish little hope that maybe it would do something. Hey, I think it did do something. That's a 25, baby. [00:30:37] Speaker E: Let's go. [00:30:38] Speaker A: Moonlight, my favorite. My beloved. She loves me still. [00:30:43] Speaker I: And he. He looks at you and goes, well, thank the mother for that. I was at my wits end trying to figure out how to do is. Did Yuri get out too? [00:30:59] Speaker F: Yes, Yuri is very safe and. And he has gone home so that everyone is where they need to be. Except sort of a little bit. I can't stay. Not for prison reasons, just for personal ones. [00:31:24] Speaker I: Is everything all right? Did you get into more trouble? [00:31:28] Speaker F: No, Papa, I'm not in more trouble. I was barely in trouble to begin with. It was just a misunderstanding. No, I have. [00:31:40] Speaker A: And like she stops for like just two seconds to think of something and. [00:31:44] Speaker F: Then says, I have met someone, Papa, and we are eloping. [00:31:51] Speaker G: Don't put me in on this. [00:31:53] Speaker F: Not you, Alistair. Someone. [00:31:55] Speaker G: I mean it's. It's gonna think you come in with a strange mouse and tell him you met someone. [00:32:02] Speaker F: Do make a good point. It is not Alistair. It's just someone taller. [00:32:08] Speaker B: You roll me one more deception check. Just. Just. [00:32:12] Speaker I: Just to see. [00:32:15] Speaker A: Being punished for my hubris. That's a. Oh no, that's a dirty 20. [00:32:19] Speaker I: So this is really funny and he. [00:32:22] Speaker B: Is mechanically a negative one Noble. [00:32:26] Speaker I: This saves. [00:32:27] Speaker B: I love you and. [00:32:30] Speaker I: Oh, did you also meet them in prison? [00:32:35] Speaker F: No, but I met them at the party before prison and then we were reacquainted after prison. There was no meeting in prison except the barista. But Alistair is also innocent. Sorry, as I did not mean to say that. And. And yes, that is. That is. [00:32:57] Speaker A: I thought it was time. [00:32:58] Speaker F: I thought it was time everyone else has moved out and they have their partners, most of them families or their careers. And I figure if I cannot do a career, I might as well do a family. So I am eloping. [00:33:11] Speaker I: Who is. Who is this person? Have I met them before? Can I meet them before the wedding? [00:33:20] Speaker F: Yes, Papa, you can meet them before the wedding. And yes, you have it. It's. [00:33:30] Speaker I: It is lessy sort of there looks and she goes, this is the development. [00:33:44] Speaker A: I did not think there will be. [00:33:46] Speaker F: Any problems with that. Grandmother cannot disapprove of something like that. So, you know, I thought it would be fine. [00:33:52] Speaker I: I mean, like I thought that you going to prison for false charges was a lot. But then there was some sort of scuffle that the family manner of rumors that Laith had attacked her mother. She's doing better. But nobody has seen her since the harvest festival. [00:34:16] Speaker A: There is. [00:34:19] Speaker G: There's a moment better, you say? [00:34:21] Speaker I: That's what I've been hearing. She was apparently lithe was disowned after attacking her mother at the harvest festival. [00:34:33] Speaker F: Well, I am sure that is all very out of proportion to what actually happened. Not that I have talked to them about that, but you have. You have heard that her mother is fine and alive? [00:34:55] Speaker I: Well, yes. I only heard that she was wounded and I mean, who is at a party with the high priest of all people. He was able to save her life. [00:35:08] Speaker F: Interesting person has such terribly different rumors. [00:35:14] Speaker I: You know how. I mean it's rumors, you know. You know how things get out of proportion. [00:35:22] Speaker G: If they've been seen lately. You know that it must all be lies because like no one. Like if Leif attacked someone, they wouldn't survive. And I give a very pointed look like raised eyebrow at Lou because I know where they were going. And I'm like. [00:35:49] Speaker A: Lewis on one hand, understands what you're trying to be reassuring about. Finds it very unreassuring in the context of this bonkers conversation. [00:36:01] Speaker F: She does not. She's. No, I mean it. You know, I have to go get some things from my room. [00:36:10] Speaker I: So. [00:36:10] Speaker F: Asda, why don't you come with me? [00:36:14] Speaker I: Let me. I have. I have something that I've been waiting for this day to give you. The day when I do. They were ready to leave the house. This is something your mother entrusted me with. Guilt. [00:36:34] Speaker F: So much guilt. [00:36:35] Speaker I: He, you know, goes over to the. Is like this was the last things that she gave me before she. She left. You know, Mother preserve her. And out of his. [00:36:49] Speaker B: His desk, he pulls like a. Something wrapped in a very nice like silk scarf. [00:36:57] Speaker A: I mean, she's not gonna say no to something of her mother's. [00:37:02] Speaker F: Jeez. [00:37:02] Speaker A: But guilt, guilt, guilt, guilt, guilt just radiating off of her for no apparent reason. She stopped lying to her father anyway. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What you got there? [00:37:16] Speaker I: What is it? He sort of gently unwraps it and it's this sort of beautiful approach in. [00:37:27] Speaker B: The shape of a raven. [00:37:30] Speaker A: The image of a raven does bring back like a flash of really bad memories of like straight up murdering a man and almost everyone she knows dying. But that's fine. Yeah. She will take the brooch, shove down the little murder flashback. [00:37:50] Speaker F: It's beautiful, Papa. I am so pleased that there is more of her left. [00:37:59] Speaker I: Yes. She left it with me before everything. Told me to give it to you before you got married. And Alouette and Alistair. [00:38:12] Speaker B: Give me a perception check real quick. [00:38:16] Speaker A: Fancy. [00:38:16] Speaker F: Ty. Don't let me down. Okay? [00:38:20] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. [00:38:21] Speaker F: That's a. [00:38:21] Speaker G: Is this related to investigating what's going on in the house with him? [00:38:27] Speaker B: Yes. [00:38:29] Speaker F: That's a 19. [00:38:30] Speaker A: For me. [00:38:31] Speaker G: That is a 20. [00:38:34] Speaker B: You both notice it at the same time. [00:38:36] Speaker I: Time. [00:38:37] Speaker B: You're both really close to the desk. You both look over. There's a Journal on the desk stamped with the ram's head. [00:38:54] Speaker A: Lou is going to freeze when she sees it and then just try to subtly clock if Alistair also saw it. Yeah, and then she is going to smile and go back to her father, take his hand and lead him back out into the parlor and just start gushing about made up wedding plans and. [00:39:23] Speaker G: I'm apparently going to attempt to steal a. [00:39:30] Speaker I: Yeah, give me a theory of reject real quick. [00:39:35] Speaker G: All right, 21. [00:39:40] Speaker B: Anyone you don't think he notices, just kind of slide it into your bag. [00:39:45] Speaker I: And he just goes. You know, you're always welcome to come home whenever you want. Like bring late by. I will make dinner. [00:39:57] Speaker F: First of all, I will be by much more frequently now that I am not in prison. I promise that you're the only reason I did not visit. Visit. I am not leaving yet. I just, you know, we need to do sort out details and. And things like that and she just has so many more social resources than we do. So I would spend some more time with her. Get to know her and know that and I already know her. [00:40:25] Speaker I: Obviously I can contact the. The. The. The priest at the local temple. Disarmament. [00:40:32] Speaker F: Not to worry. [00:40:33] Speaker A: We have. [00:40:33] Speaker I: They're an old family friend. I'm sure they wouldn't mind one. [00:40:36] Speaker F: We have one already. The priest that we say have priests in prison. [00:40:45] Speaker B: Did you get married in prison? [00:40:50] Speaker F: But we met him and he was lovely and so his name is Oscar. [00:40:56] Speaker I: Okay, well, if there's anything I can do to be of help, please let me know. [00:41:03] Speaker F: I mean that. You know, Papa, I just need to go get my old pants because I. I did not. I did not. I lost my other ones, I am afraid. And so I need my old pen. [00:41:22] Speaker I: Well, please, you know, your room is. I tried to keep it as clean as I could. I did some testing for you. [00:41:34] Speaker G: What sort of testing did you do? Dusting. [00:41:38] Speaker B: Oh, dusting. [00:41:41] Speaker A: Yeah. She's going to kiss her father's cheek and then grab like a fistful of Alistair's coat and just drag him up the stairs with her. [00:41:59] Speaker B: You're welcome, Rue. [00:42:02] Speaker G: Yeah, I will. When we have a moment, I will give a look with like books go question mark it like. [00:42:19] Speaker A: Yeah, she's gonna like shut the door and I think the first thing she does is find like her because she had. She had multiple sets of bells. Rest assured she had many. And so she grabs another set and. And packs them away and then yeah turns around. [00:42:38] Speaker F: And says if you tell anyone any of that that happened downstairs, I will, I don't know, punch you out the window? [00:42:53] Speaker A: I don't know. [00:42:54] Speaker F: I haven't decided yet. [00:42:56] Speaker I: Don't tell anyone that you have a dad. [00:43:01] Speaker G: He seems pretty awesome. Aside from like the. The. Well, whatever's in this. I say as I hold up the book. [00:43:10] Speaker F: Yes. What is that? Actually, I am. Is it. Is it. Is it full of. Is there anything in it? Or is it just an empty Talus journal? Maybe he found it at Ditter's shop. [00:43:33] Speaker G: What is inside of it? I will open it up to a. [00:43:36] Speaker B: Random page so you see the same kind of shorthand that you've seen before in all of Tallis journals. And it is also a anatomical drawing of a person's. [00:43:51] Speaker I: It looks. The drawing itself looks like a. [00:43:54] Speaker B: It was at one point an arm, but is kind of fused with a bird's wing. And you see the cross sections of it and notes that are clearly talking about how the muscles and bone structure have changed in the body. You can kind of see where, you know, it's like each layer of it and then, you know, notes about each one. You can't exactly read what everything is, but you're starting to learn a little bit of his shorthand. Thanks to Juniper. [00:44:26] Speaker G: Okay, I might have changed my mind about your dad. [00:44:31] Speaker F: It's not his notebook. It's a statuses. [00:44:35] Speaker A: I don't know why he has it. [00:44:37] Speaker F: But it could be her for any kind of reason. We know he didn't go to Talis's manner because we would have known. You can't get in there. It's for the ghouls. It's less for the bulls now. But we know that. [00:44:53] Speaker G: He is being followed by someone that smokes. They're not a fire demon because if they were a fire demon, then they would have burned up higher. Cigarette? [00:45:04] Speaker A: Hey, Aubrey, did Whiskey Jack smoke? [00:45:10] Speaker B: Give me a. [00:45:11] Speaker I: Give me a. [00:45:12] Speaker B: A perception check real quick. Just sort of see as you sort of sort back through your memory. [00:45:18] Speaker A: 22. [00:45:20] Speaker F: Yeah, you. [00:45:21] Speaker B: You kind of remember the smell of like tobacco sort of hanging around him a little bit and on his breath. [00:45:30] Speaker I: When you met him. [00:45:31] Speaker B: But I'm sure that's a coincidence. [00:45:34] Speaker F: I don't believe in coincidences anymore. [00:45:41] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:45:42] Speaker F: Lou is going to just start packing. [00:45:45] Speaker A: A bag of things that she has wished she's had for the last few weeks. Just a bunch of like, random stuff out of the. A straight up like magpie nest that is her. Her bedroom. Which is. If her father said he tried to clean it, then it's probably actually in better order than it was when she actually like lives in it regularly. It's just like there's books and knickknacks and paper and just stuff everywhere. There's like weird like hobbies and career paths that she's attempted, like, like pinned to the wall. Like, oh, she tried painting at some point and she tried writing and she tried magic and administration and secretarial school and all sorts of things. And there's a whole pile of like projection lettering. Like it's a big pile. But yeah, she just grabs a bunch of esoterica and stuff and starts putting it in in a bag and also grabs a little like portrait that you may or may not notice is her. [00:46:55] Speaker F: Mother and stuffs that in the bag too. [00:46:59] Speaker G: So while you're packing, if it's not Leith's mother at the house, then who is it? [00:47:12] Speaker F: Oh, oh, the notebook distracted me. I completely forgot. What is with that? [00:47:19] Speaker G: We. [00:47:20] Speaker A: We should go. Laces. [00:47:21] Speaker G: Go. [00:47:22] Speaker A: Yeah, we should go right away. [00:47:23] Speaker F: We should go right away. I completely forgot. Don't tell l that I lied to my father. Or Yuri or Grape Wing or Nihil. Tell none of them none of that happened. You met him, he was nice, you had tea and nothing else matters. Okay, okay. [00:47:48] Speaker E: Okay. [00:47:49] Speaker A: And yeah, then she's gonna run back downstairs and find her father and give him another kiss on the cheek and. [00:47:59] Speaker F: Say, papa, I'm so sorry we have to rush off. I am meeting with the florist and it is. It is also very hectic. I have to get this inota right away. You know what has this. [00:48:09] Speaker I: Of course, of course. Please, please give late my best. I think. I think her sister will be back in town soon. [00:48:18] Speaker F: Oh, do you have a date? I would love to tell her in. [00:48:23] Speaker I: Person the next couple of days. I think something about now that Nadia is the. The sole heir of the house. She needed to come back to help her mother with things. [00:48:39] Speaker F: Of course. Wonderful. Thank you so much. And I will be back very soon. And I am sorry for the trouble I caused you with the hot prison situation. It won't happen again, I promise. [00:48:57] Speaker I: Of course, of course. You know, I hope to see you again soon. Let's do get food. Let's go to go to dinner. Go to dinner. You, me, and late. [00:49:11] Speaker F: Of course, Papa. We will do that, I promise. Stay safe. And if you see any more people watching you in the house, just send me a note and I will deal with it, okay? [00:49:30] Speaker I: Of course, of course. [00:49:32] Speaker F: Actually. Okay, quick question. [00:49:34] Speaker I: Can I send the note? [00:49:36] Speaker F: Seen any of these people that you think are watching you? Is none of them had like a cowboy hat by any chance? [00:49:47] Speaker I: Did they stinks for a moment and says I don't know if he was watching the house but there was a very nice man who I talked to the other day with a careboy hat. [00:49:58] Speaker F: Did he come into the house? [00:50:00] Speaker I: No. We were chatting at the market. [00:50:08] Speaker F: I see. [00:50:11] Speaker I: But it was absolutely fascinating. [00:50:16] Speaker F: I would imagine so. Good for you. Papa. You should ask perhaps Paloma or. Or maybe Pep to just take a look into him. [00:50:32] Speaker I: This if I need to get where. Where do I. Where do I send a note? [00:50:38] Speaker F: Okay Papa. Have a good day. I love you so much. Bye. [00:50:42] Speaker A: Got. Got to go. Got to leave. [00:50:44] Speaker F: Get out of there. [00:50:45] Speaker B: See it without letting him know where. [00:50:47] Speaker I: He can contact you. [00:50:49] Speaker A: I don't know what to tell him. So we know to me you could. [00:50:54] Speaker I: Have given the great wings shop and the dark. [00:51:00] Speaker A: She has to explain why. Why is that a place of address for her? She's out of line. [00:51:05] Speaker B: She spent them all fair. [00:51:07] Speaker I: And we'll. [00:51:08] Speaker B: We'll. We'll move over to Yuri and Nile as you approach a different house. [00:51:17] Speaker E: Yes. As someone established we are heading to the Moran estate which is in Silver Court. It is a lakefront property. The lake used to be more populated on the other side with like people who would fish and stuff. But the local aquatic population has been dwindling over the past decade or so. It's also like, you know, there's a nice gate that goes to the side. There's like a greenhouse on one side because Yuri's mother does a lot of apothecary and like stuff like that. So she grows a lot of stuff in there. And that leads to kind of like an outdoor garden. That's where Yuri's kind of like shed workshop is. And so that's, that's actually I think Yurida would go lead Niall through there because they want to check on the workshop first to see what's in there before going into the house. [00:52:23] Speaker I: Question. [00:52:24] Speaker B: Do you keep the workshop locked? [00:52:27] Speaker E: Yes. It is just like a simple like lock with a key that obviously they no longer have once. [00:52:35] Speaker B: Huh. [00:52:35] Speaker I: It's. [00:52:36] Speaker B: It looks like it's still locked as I'm getting closer. [00:52:40] Speaker E: I'm going to look to. Now do you have big locks or anything like that? [00:52:46] Speaker H: I'm not particularly the block picking type. [00:52:48] Speaker C: No. [00:52:49] Speaker E: Okay. Okay. I'm about to make a lot of noise. If someone comes from the house, just tell them just like point me out if I'm inside or say you know me. I need to check this out first. Don't go to the greenhouse. Please. [00:53:03] Speaker H: I will just wait here. [00:53:04] Speaker A: I'll just wait. [00:53:05] Speaker H: Literally Beside the. Beside the shed. Like an npc. [00:53:09] Speaker E: Thank you. Thank you. I would just like to break open the locker, I guess pull on it first. Is. Is like. Is it still, like, attached? [00:53:19] Speaker B: Oh, yes, it is currently attached. [00:53:22] Speaker E: Then. Yeah. I would just like to break it with like the butt of one of the weapons. [00:53:27] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:53:27] Speaker B: Give me just a quick melee strike. [00:53:32] Speaker E: To hit or just damage. [00:53:34] Speaker B: Yeah, we'll just do damage. [00:53:35] Speaker F: It's. [00:53:36] Speaker B: It would be a 10 to hit and I'm pretty sure that that's your base. It is because it is an inanimate object. [00:53:45] Speaker E: 18. [00:53:46] Speaker B: 18. Yeah. [00:53:48] Speaker I: You. [00:53:49] Speaker B: You hit it in a spot where you kind of just crack the. The little padlock and undo the. The chain. Also question who. Who besides you and lives in the house? [00:54:07] Speaker E: I mean, primarily it's just mom and dad, Hortensia and Felipe. Yuri doesn't have any siblings. [00:54:21] Speaker B: Yeah. No, there is the. You are facing the. [00:54:27] Speaker I: The shed. [00:54:29] Speaker B: And Niall, you are looking towards the house, correct? [00:54:34] Speaker H: Yeah, I'm watching to make sure no one comes out and, like, does stuff. [00:54:39] Speaker B: Yeah, you are. You're like watching and I imagine like the kitchen is right there. And then like immediately you see a head pop up as soon as the noise happens. [00:54:48] Speaker I: And you see this. This older woman and. [00:54:53] Speaker B: Yuri, she like, mouths Yuri. And then sort of like comes out. [00:54:59] Speaker I: And like starts walking over, just being like, Yuri. The first. The first time I see you in. In. In weeks and you're breaking into your own workshop, you. You don't even come to the door and let us know that you're all right. Right. We were so worried. [00:55:18] Speaker E: I. I was. I was going to come to the door. I. I just needed to make sure my stuff was okay. It's good to see you too. I'm glad to have spent my time in prison. [00:55:27] Speaker I: Yes. What happened there? Did they. You are out. So did they drop the charges? [00:55:35] Speaker E: Yes. [00:55:37] Speaker I: Deception. [00:55:41] Speaker A: I high five you from a long distance. [00:55:46] Speaker E: Thirteen. [00:55:48] Speaker B: No, thirteen. You're not sure. But also, like, it's hard to tell. [00:55:58] Speaker E: It would be far from the worst lie that Yuri has told. [00:56:04] Speaker I: Your father and I were incredibly worried they would never let us see you. [00:56:13] Speaker E: Who came to tell you what happened? What did they tell you? [00:56:17] Speaker I: The guards. The coin guard came to see us and they let us know that you and Lou were imprisoned for kidnapping. [00:56:30] Speaker E: No, that's not true. [00:56:32] Speaker I: That's what I said. [00:56:35] Speaker E: I kidnapped being. I don't even. [00:56:38] Speaker I: We. [00:56:38] Speaker E: I was. We were doing a job. You wanted to come along. And then we got knocked out. Met a friend. I'm going to point out to Nile Great cook. [00:56:50] Speaker I: Lovely to meet you. Did you meet him in person? [00:56:55] Speaker H: It's a pleasure to meet you as well, ma'am. [00:56:57] Speaker B: It's a pleasure to meet you. [00:56:59] Speaker I: I'm sorry, it's. I'm a little frazzled because, you know, I had been very worried about this one for weeks. [00:57:06] Speaker H: Oh, he's a little bit of a troublemaker, I can tell you that. You really should have said hello to your parents when coming here. [00:57:12] Speaker E: It was about to. Nile, how have you been? How has dad been? Is he doing okay? [00:57:23] Speaker I: Yeah, we're. We were a little. [00:57:25] Speaker B: A little stressed over the whole thing. [00:57:28] Speaker I: But it will be a great worry off of both of us to know that you're all right and out of prison. [00:57:35] Speaker E: Yes, yes, yes. They treated us so well. No showers, no clothes. It took all of my stuff. It took all of our stuff, you know. Service. [00:57:46] Speaker I: Do you need us to put in the petition? We could get whatever items that were taken from you and Lou back. [00:57:54] Speaker H: Oh, no, I believe they actually confiscated the items and tossed them before they released Yuri is what I was told. [00:58:05] Speaker I: This is no harm. [00:58:06] Speaker E: I. I mean that would be very. In fact, I have a couple more names for some other friends, friend acquaintances that we are traveling with. [00:58:21] Speaker I: I mean, you know, we've. We just thought got a little clout around here and. You give me the names and I'll see what we can do about getting all of her things back. [00:58:30] Speaker E: Yes, yes. Yuri. Yuri's like. Stops like. Looks at Nile. Do you. Do you know Grave Wing's name? [00:58:41] Speaker H: Just going to whisper. It's like. I don't think we should be mentioning her here. [00:58:46] Speaker E: Yeah, let me just. Mother, let me just check what's in here and then I'll come join you inside. We could catch up. I just need to make sure everything's okay. [00:58:55] Speaker I: Of course, I will. I'll. I'll start some coffee. [00:58:59] Speaker E: Yeah, Yeah. N. Why don't you go make some chat? It'll be fine, I hope. [00:59:07] Speaker H: Are you sure? [00:59:09] Speaker E: Yeah, I. Again, I just need the Check this really quick, make sure nothing's missing and I'll be right. [00:59:13] Speaker H: Important question. Is it close to like a meal time? [00:59:17] Speaker B: It's like mid afternoon, I think. [00:59:19] Speaker H: Oh, I guess I can make everyone lunch then. [00:59:23] Speaker E: You don't need to wait? [00:59:24] Speaker I: No, I'm going. [00:59:29] Speaker H: You mind if I use your kitchen, dear? [00:59:31] Speaker I: Feel free. You know, we were just settling down for afternoon tea. Coffee. [00:59:39] Speaker H: Oh, I can make some wonderful tea biscuits. I've had a good recipe for those for a while now. [00:59:44] Speaker I: Lovely, lovely, lovely. So you. You and. You and Yuri. [00:59:56] Speaker H: Yeah, he's an excellent friend. [00:59:59] Speaker I: He's a friend. [01:00:02] Speaker H: What, what else would he be? [01:00:05] Speaker I: I don't know. You just, you know, you, you arrive together. It's just suddenly, Yuri has a friend that's not. [01:00:15] Speaker H: L. Does Yuri not usually have friends? [01:00:19] Speaker I: No, he usually does, but they are usually one kind of or another. I'm asking if you're romantically involved with Yuri. [01:00:28] Speaker H: Thanks for the clarification. [01:00:31] Speaker A: Hold on. [01:00:32] Speaker H: I stick my head out. Yuri, are we romantically involved? I don't think so. Right. [01:00:39] Speaker E: Mother, just get them some tea, please. [01:00:42] Speaker H: I guess that's a no. [01:00:46] Speaker I: Unfortunate. You seem like a very nice fellow. [01:00:49] Speaker H: Thank you. I appreciate it very much. I'm gonna just start, like, making some tea and cookies and stuff and, like. So tell me about yourself and. [01:00:57] Speaker B: Yeah, we'll start to sort of telling you about. So, Gary, in the. What, what would people see when. Usually see when you open the workshop? [01:01:12] Speaker E: Yeah, this is actually the same workshop that we saw Yuri in the very beginning. But usually they have tools they carry, like, they have, like, a small forge in here that they do, like, would make their own bullets and have, like, small vials of different kind of herbs and tinctures and stuff, because it's what they would use to prepare for any jobs that they would do around the, the city. So I want to, like, it's a, like a big workshop table, usually with the lamp that goes over it, a bunch of shelves. Again, you had a small forge, and there is kind of like a cabinet that they would have the big, like, ax gun that is currently confiscated. [01:02:06] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, the, the ax gun is really the only thing that you don't have in here. It does seem like your parents kept them away from this workshop. [01:02:15] Speaker E: Excellent. I would like to grab, like, a satchel that's in here and just fill it up with that. [01:02:21] Speaker B: Yeah, you, you can. [01:02:27] Speaker E: Yeah, so, like, grab a bunch of, like, mostly, like, ammo, like, herbs and stuff for, like, medicine and other stuff, I guess. And then, yeah, I would like to head back to make sure. I, I, I think it's rude to have Nile cook for their, their family. [01:02:50] Speaker H: No, I'm not stopping. I'm rolling the crafting check right now. I'm busting with the crafters on everything, by the way. I'm, I'm, I'm rolling this check. Aubrey, do I roll? Can I roll cook? [01:03:00] Speaker E: Please, please? [01:03:01] Speaker I: Yes, you could roll your crafting. [01:03:03] Speaker F: Okay. [01:03:04] Speaker H: Thank God. And we have hero points just in case. [01:03:09] Speaker B: Just in case you burn the tea cakes. [01:03:11] Speaker H: I'm gonna roll a hero point, please. [01:03:15] Speaker A: Oh, My God. [01:03:17] Speaker H: That is a nat 20 for a total of 33. [01:03:22] Speaker I: You make some pretty good, you know, tea cakes and things like that. [01:03:27] Speaker H: Best tea cakes. Little mini sandwiches. Look like the insides perfectly cut. This tea is absolutely delicious. This, there's like little frosting and like powdered sugar dusted up. I'm going through these rich people's drawers. I'm having a field day and I'm making the most delicious tea and like. Like tea and sandwiches you've ever had in your life. [01:03:43] Speaker I: Yeah. [01:03:43] Speaker B: This is what you enter the kitchen to Yeri now. [01:03:49] Speaker E: I mean, I like your cooking. I just. Thanks. So I'm going to like. Yeah, of course. I'm going to grab one. N is great. And look at Orencia and just. So anything new happen? [01:04:11] Speaker I: There's all sorts of things happening. You know, there's the. The whole, you know, talk about, you know, the Dre girl, you know, murdered her mother. Well, first it was murder, then it was attack. [01:04:26] Speaker B: And apparently the mother's fine now. [01:04:30] Speaker E: Okay. You're talking late, right? [01:04:36] Speaker I: Yes, yes. Lit. [01:04:39] Speaker E: Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:04:40] Speaker I: Sorry. Has been officially, you know, disowned. [01:04:48] Speaker E: Oh. I'm. Well, so you know how we were needing some other stuff. I happen to be traveling with Lace. [01:05:06] Speaker I: Traveling? [01:05:09] Speaker E: We're doing Nile and our group, including life and the great most detective. Did you. Can you believe that? But we're. We're. We're involved in some stuff and above our pay grade, but, you know. [01:05:29] Speaker I: Oh, well, it certainly sounds like you've been keeping busy. Yeah. [01:05:36] Speaker E: You know, when. When they let us out. Absolved of all charges. Looks at Niall. We had to do some work before we could actually, you know, go around and all that, but they wouldn't give us our stuff back. [01:05:56] Speaker I: But yes, I will. Your father and I will see what we can do about it. Name doesn't mean as much as it used to, but we still have a. [01:06:06] Speaker B: Bit to pull around here. [01:06:10] Speaker E: Well. [01:06:13] Speaker A: Wow. [01:06:13] Speaker E: The mom is doing okay. That's usually late. Is much better with a knife. [01:06:22] Speaker I: Well, I think it helped that it was the harvest festival when it all happened and the high priest himself was there. [01:06:29] Speaker E: Okay. [01:06:31] Speaker I: How. [01:06:33] Speaker E: Where is dad? How is he doing? [01:06:35] Speaker I: No, I think he's. It's a. To run out for something. Doing good. You. You. You know your father. [01:06:44] Speaker E: Yes. Okay. [01:06:46] Speaker I: Keeping busy. [01:06:47] Speaker E: You know, I mean, anything else I missed around here like anyone. Did anyone else come looking for us or ask weird questions? [01:06:59] Speaker I: The con guard came by several times. Ask us questions about you, what you were doing while you were there, why you would want to be kidnapping People. And then there was. We thought he was with the coin guard, but he was just strange who got themselves whiskey asking some questions. [01:07:24] Speaker E: Cowboy hat. [01:07:26] Speaker I: Does he. Yes, I believe you at the Cowboy hat. What questions did he ask specifically about. [01:07:36] Speaker B: What you. [01:07:37] Speaker I: What you did specifically. Not like what you did to get in prison, like what you do for your job. [01:07:43] Speaker E: So strange, right, that Mr. Whiskey, he bumped into him right before we got arrested. Did. [01:07:55] Speaker I: Interesting. He didn't strike me as a guard type. [01:07:59] Speaker E: No, no, no. He. He actually had some very weird vibes. I think we saw him. I. Lou and I thought that maybe he was eating a body, but I think he was just being weird about the body. [01:08:14] Speaker F: Huh. [01:08:16] Speaker H: If I may interject, I believe I also met this whiskey person around the harvest festival as well. [01:08:23] Speaker E: You did? [01:08:25] Speaker H: Yeah. He came to the restaurant, got basically just a drink and asked for some secrets. And I. I honestly just wanted to give. I do my job. Just a typical person. But it's quite strange that you saw him too and that he's been poking around. [01:08:45] Speaker E: Like this. Nile, do you remember where our other friends were headed? [01:08:55] Speaker B: Wait. [01:08:55] Speaker H: Out of character. You mean like the rest of the groups like to the different houses? [01:08:58] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:09:00] Speaker H: They're going to their homes. Right. [01:09:03] Speaker E: Mother, I. It was so nice to catch up. We do need to go get back to do some work. Niall, these are delicious. You should come over more often. [01:09:14] Speaker A: Oh, of course. [01:09:14] Speaker H: I'll come over whenever you'd like. [01:09:17] Speaker I: Please don't. Don't be a stranger. You know, please come by whenever you would like. [01:09:22] Speaker B: You and your friend. [01:09:30] Speaker E: Yuri's gonna give like a look to both Niall and just huh. [01:09:39] Speaker B: Very quietly to. [01:09:40] Speaker I: You seem like a very lovely person. [01:09:45] Speaker B: Bring by. [01:09:46] Speaker E: Okay now hang on now. [01:09:48] Speaker F: Could. [01:09:49] Speaker E: Could you really quickly before we go, could you. I'm going to like grab like something to write on really quick and put down Juni's shop. There's like a things like when. Could you just let me know if anything's going on? Especially with that, you know. [01:10:11] Speaker I: Of course, of course. [01:10:14] Speaker E: Here I'm working with them. [01:10:17] Speaker I: Yeah, yeah. Any. Anything that happens. You know, it's been a good week, but you know, if anything happens, I will let you know. [01:10:25] Speaker E: Thank you. Just stay in good health. Maybe next time we have more time. Nile does apothecary stuff too, so of. [01:10:35] Speaker H: Course that would be quite fun. Well, I apologize for leaving so soon and again I'm very sorry for our introduction being so informal. I give. I look at Yuri a little bit. But thank you very much for your hospitality and I hope I can come cook for you all again. [01:10:52] Speaker I: I would love that. We will find a time. Time for it. We'll throw a party. [01:10:59] Speaker H: Oh, that would be lovely to cook for. Thank you. [01:11:03] Speaker I: All. You all leave and, yeah, you all. [01:11:11] Speaker B: Are rushing towards the Adrisi household, all four of you. You probably meet up somewhere in the middle, but, you know, we'll figure out what that means in a bit. But we're going to jump back into the Adrisi household as Laith and Gravewing, face down the veiled woman. [01:11:32] Speaker C: Boy, oh, boy. Why don't you redescribe what we saw? [01:11:37] Speaker B: Yeah, you see, it's. It's the mother's bedroom as she currently sits out of vanity. She's wearing a. A dark dress, including a dark veil. You can't see much of her, even though the silhouette is Laith. You can tell anywhere it's the silhouette of your mother. And she looked as you opened the door and pointed and sort of let out a. Kind of sounded like she was trying to speak. But unfortunately, you did say stab her through her vocal cords, so it kind of just sounds like a choking gurgle as she points at you with sort of long finger. That's the last thing you saw. [01:12:32] Speaker D: What floor of the house is the bedroom on? Second floor. [01:12:36] Speaker B: Second floor. [01:12:38] Speaker D: Can I do, like, vibe check? Like, is this undead? Like, how similar is this to the ghouls we've dealt with before? Like, that sort of thing? [01:12:49] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Give me if you have any kind of magical tradition. Check occultism, religion, arcana, undead lore. Sure, yeah. Undead lore, you know, works as well too. [01:13:02] Speaker D: Gonna use a hero point. Okay, that's better. 23. [01:13:09] Speaker B: 23. There is far too much pallor and like, and like, life in her skin for her to be undead. She is alive and graveling. Are you doing anything in this moment? [01:13:28] Speaker C: I am one watching Leif because, like, I think I can piece together what's going on. And I'm more so watching to see what Leif does. If Leif stays frozen for too long, then I will act. But for now, unless, like specifically stated, I am watching before reacting. [01:13:58] Speaker D: Yeah, Leith, I think, is definitely frozen for a second. Not for too long, just sort of processing all of this, noting the pallor of her skin. And I think, like, frantically, like, not thinking, just panic is like, well, it worked once before, except it clearly didn't, and is going to attempt to stab her again. [01:14:27] Speaker B: And as you do this, please remind me of what your AC is. [01:14:35] Speaker C: Yikes. [01:14:36] Speaker D: It is 21. [01:14:39] Speaker B: 21. And as you do this, as you start to move forward with this dagger with this hand, she just gestures and she casts telekinetic maneuver and essentially uses this momentum to throw you into the armoire that you're right next to, kind of knocking you prone. And as you notice as she does this, her eyes glow green behind the veil. [01:15:13] Speaker D: She did not have power powers like that to my knowledge, last time I met her. Is that correct? [01:15:19] Speaker B: That is very correct. [01:15:22] Speaker C: So I said I was waiting, and action has happened. Could I use le being thrown to. So that way I could, like, maybe use that as a distraction so I can go and attack. [01:15:38] Speaker B: Sure. [01:15:39] Speaker C: I don't have a knife, but I do do have stunning strike stunning blows. So we. I think I have to use that with flurry. Yep. That's what. That's what's happening. I am flurrying. If I can only remember where. There it is. So 24 and 1 second. I have to do math. I think it'll be 25. [01:16:16] Speaker B: So neither of those attacks will hit. As you know, you throw a punch, this thing where she catches it in her hand and kind of starts to crush your fist. There is something wrong about her. Kind of in a loose initiative. Laithe, what would you like to do? [01:16:42] Speaker D: Yeah. Laithe stumbles out from the armoire, sees Gravewing missing, which we have not really seen before, and I think sort of of hisses over to her. [01:17:00] Speaker A: This isn't right. [01:17:02] Speaker D: She didn't. She couldn't do this before. And there's a bed in this room. Yes, it is a bedroom. I would like to. Aubrey, tell me if this is multiple turns. I would like to grab this, like, blanket it from the bed, like the duvet or whatever, and throw it over her and attempt to sort of restrain her. My eventual goal is to maybe sort of kidnap her from this house. [01:17:38] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:17:40] Speaker I: Give me a. [01:17:42] Speaker B: This feels like an athletics check engraving. If you would like to aid with this. You can if you want to, but. [01:17:50] Speaker C: I do believe it's been a hot minute. But I do believe I have an item that Lou gave me. One second. I saved it somewhere. Wolf fang. [01:18:02] Speaker F: Oh, okay. [01:18:02] Speaker C: It's specifically if I could I trip rather than grapple, because in theory, life is grappling. [01:18:10] Speaker I: Yeah. [01:18:10] Speaker B: I'd say in. In theory, you can do that. [01:18:12] Speaker I: Yeah. [01:18:13] Speaker C: Well, I will. I will activate the wolf fang so that way I can deal some damage to while I do some tripping. [01:18:23] Speaker D: It is a 21 for grappling. [01:18:28] Speaker B: 21. [01:18:30] Speaker C: Tripping is also athletics, right? [01:18:32] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:18:32] Speaker B: Give me that. [01:18:32] Speaker I: Athletic show. [01:18:33] Speaker C: Yeah. He's a hero. Point. Okay. That's like 26. [01:18:41] Speaker I: 26. [01:18:42] Speaker B: Between the two of you, you're as Gravewing as you move to Trip and Leith, as you throw the blanket over her and sort of try and truss her up. You do manage to do it. Not expecting an attack from two sides and unable to. You kind of pin her arms down so she can't do magic. So you at the moment have her. She's starting to move and thrash and try to get out of this. But for the time being, you have her. [01:19:18] Speaker C: She takes three bludgeoning damage. And I do have mystic strikes. I don't know if that applies to that. [01:19:26] Speaker B: I think it probably would apply. [01:19:30] Speaker C: I'm gonna look to Leif and be like, now what? [01:19:36] Speaker D: This isn't right. There has to be something, someone in the Unbroken controlling her, brought her back to control her. We can't leave her here. [01:19:50] Speaker C: I think we have to. We cannot take her in out like this. She is thrashing. [01:20:00] Speaker D: I shouldn't have left the body. We could. I can't le. I can't. We can't just leave her here, though. What if my sister heard? If my sister is on her way home. [01:20:18] Speaker C: We just got to find your sister first. [01:20:22] Speaker D: Le sort of is, you know, holding on, having probably some difficulty with. With this thrashing body. [01:20:33] Speaker C: Are there windows in this room? [01:20:36] Speaker B: Yes, there is a very large window in the room. You know, floor to ceiling almost kind of window, you know, classic Victorian style. [01:20:47] Speaker C: Okay, I am making some judgment calls here because Grave Wing is doing. Grave Wing, for a lack of better terms, is doing the math. There's this bitch, stopped her from punching her, and she looks like the shriveled up grandma that wants chocolate from SpongeBob. [01:21:12] Speaker F: What the fuck? [01:21:14] Speaker C: Also easily threw Leif like a rag doll out. So Grave Wings doing matte. It is, for a lack of better terms, broad daylight. There's no way. If we can't stun her, knock her out, there's no way we can wiggle her out of this very big ass manor in the rich area. It's not gonna happen. Usually this is a multiple people kidnapping project that you do for this area. We are two hot bitches, none of which are skinny and so. So Gray Wing knows that we're on the second floor because we walked up together, sees the window, sees Leith kind of buzzing here, and is just kind of okay, I have things to do this with, and I am strong and I have wind. If I may grab Laith instead, Like, sort of of like you are a potato sack princess right now. So I can bust through the window and jump out. I do have a Number of feats and other ways to make this work, including one second. I have wind pillow, so I lessen damage, but I don't mind taking the damage over lathe. I also have powerful leap to get the out. And in theory, this is a lengthy diversion. [01:22:48] Speaker B: This is true. [01:22:50] Speaker C: A lot of things are happening. I also am an air elemental for kineticist type. So in theory, I could grab lathe, punch and do. And do the jump with my stuff. Applying all in. Basically three reactions. [01:23:07] Speaker I: Yeah. So I imagine give me. [01:23:11] Speaker B: Give me that lengthy diversion roll that was. [01:23:16] Speaker C: I almost tipped over all of my dice to lift up my phone one second. [01:23:22] Speaker B: You think that's deception? [01:23:24] Speaker C: Yeah, it is deception. And if I'm successful, I believe one. No, if I. If I end up critically succeeding, just let me know. Because then a very specific thing applies. But basically the diversion will last for however much you determine. Unless it's critical. [01:23:49] Speaker F: Oh, oh. [01:23:53] Speaker C: 26. Because I rolled 19 on the die. [01:23:55] Speaker B: 26. [01:23:58] Speaker I: Yeah, that is. I'll say. [01:23:59] Speaker B: That is a crit. [01:24:01] Speaker C: Okay. So that means for the. For however long you determined this is, this diversion is happening. Minimum, like one additional round, we stay hidden for that entire time. So if this diversion lasts five minutes, we are hidden for five minutes. For example. It's up to the GM though. [01:24:25] Speaker I: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:24:27] Speaker B: So yeah, you have this and you're going out the window. [01:24:33] Speaker C: Yeah. I think for the sake of being really cinematic, we're like holding. We're holding down your mom lathe. And while you are maybe thinking, I just in like a very swift fluid motion move to grab you. And I push off with my legs that then turn into my tail so I can slither much faster. This force and momentum is meant by. With like, if I'm holding you tato sack style with one arm, the other arm punches outward for the air to break open the window. And then we jump. Like slither on jump. And as we fall from the second level, because I have wind pillow that I treat falls as if they were 10ft less, which also changes damage. I will like kind of flip us so that way I land first. First to take your damage. If damage is applied at all. [01:25:46] Speaker B: I think it's like five damage from this height. Especially with wind pillow. [01:25:51] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. But as we kind of fall, you feel like the wind kind of push us back up to lessen some of it. And then we're just gonna. Yeet. Mid yeet. I'm gonna go from tail to legs because I gotta maintain the petite woman look. And. And just we. We just. We're. We're going to start running. [01:26:13] Speaker B: Honestly, people in the household are less concerned about you and more concerned about making sure that the lady of the house is all right. She's already survived one murder attempt. What if they tried to do it again? [01:26:24] Speaker C: Leif. [01:26:27] Speaker B: And I say it'll say as you. You are exiting the grounds of the Adrisi household, you run right into. It's this perfect conflux of Lou, Alistair, Nile, Yuri, Grayling, Laith, all running into each other at the same time. [01:26:48] Speaker I: Le. [01:26:48] Speaker E: Your mom is alive and your sister. [01:26:50] Speaker F: Is coming back in two days. [01:26:53] Speaker E: What do you have there? Should we run you two on the corner like you were just running? [01:27:01] Speaker H: I think we should run. [01:27:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:27:02] Speaker H: Your mom's. [01:27:03] Speaker C: Her mom's alive. We know this. We saw her, she saw us. Let's go. [01:27:07] Speaker A: Okay. [01:27:09] Speaker E: Okay. [01:27:13] Speaker B: Yeah. You are headed off where you. Where are you? Where. Question is, where are you headed? [01:27:21] Speaker D: I mean, originally, people wanted to go to the Clockwork Union. I think that there might need to be some knowledge exchanged before that in a safe location. So back at one of our hideouts, maybe. [01:27:41] Speaker E: I like, I could also say, if you want to get to somewhere quick, I know somewhere safe in Clockwork. Pulse. [01:27:50] Speaker F: Calls. Yes. [01:27:54] Speaker B: You all, you know, keep to the side streets of everything as you move through Silver Court and into Clockwork Halls. And there's definitely a much different feel to this as soon as you enter. There are the constant sounds of ticking from all of these gears and. And machines that keep everything going. And you hear sort of the bell that signals the end of the workday as people start to leave the work sites and head on home. Everything is very strict and regimented in Clockwork Halls. The unions keep it that way. As you know, you are headed to Yuri's safe place in Clockwork Halls. That's where we'll end it for this episode as everybody's fine and okay and. [01:28:52] Speaker I: There'S nothing going on. [01:28:53] Speaker B: No, nothing wrong. No new secrets anyone is keeping. [01:28:57] Speaker H: Bro, I'm not okay. [01:28:58] Speaker D: What the. [01:29:01] Speaker B: So, yeah, Tick, take us out. [01:29:03] Speaker H: Thank you everyone, for listening to another wonderful episode of Goblets and Gays.
