[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam Waking up dreaming dark so long I cannot find meaning hold my hand let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all the these demons always roam me in this red light because me he is reaching out consuming. [00:01:30] Speaker B: Hello everyone. Welcome back to Goblins and Gaze. I am Aubrey, your gm. I also for my players, introduce themselves who they are they're playing and we'll get rolling into things. [00:01:38] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Maki. My friend is she her and I play Grave Wing, the Nagaji sylph vigilante monk slash air kineticist who also uses she her pronouns and she is the party mom slash strategist of the rebellion. [00:01:56] Speaker D: Hello, hello, I'm Alyssa. [00:01:58] Speaker A: My pronouns are they, them and I play Leite Idrisi iv, the matricidal, dampier, dandy, rogue and spymaster who uses she any pronouns? [00:02:09] Speaker E: Hello, I am Dusty, I use they he pronouns and I'm playing Yurido, just Yurido. Still, they are our nephilim cursed boy of a problem. They are going to be the party and is rebellious firebrand and they also use they he pronouns. [00:02:30] Speaker A: Hello, I am Faris, I use she her pronouns and I am playing Alouette Valer, a totally normal nephilim thaumaturge bard having a very normal and good time learning all about her way more cursed family. She also uses she her pronouns and is the anathema partisan. [00:02:47] Speaker F: Hello, I am Sparlock, and both me and my character use he him pronouns. I'm going by Alistair Whiskerfield, wizard detective extraordinaire, heir to the fine distinguished family of wizard mice, Ratzerts, Esoki, Arcanists. I swear I was always aware of it. I keep my whiskers to the ground to uncover the truth of the powers that be who subjugate us, by which I mean I'm our recruiter and hello. [00:03:20] Speaker G: To round off the group. I am Tick, I have he, she, they pronouns. And today you'll be playing Nile, a flesh warp sorcerer who is just a totally ordinary cook and quartermaster for the group and definitely not a cannibal parenthesis. He's cannibal, but it's a dietary restriction, so don't be too mean to him. So usually this is my job, but genuinely all I can do, like right now I'm thinking about is lose hot bird sister rotating in my head like a fucking microwave. And I know that happened. I know that discussion happened. [00:03:48] Speaker C: Like what else microwave? Babe, you were so close. Her hot bird sister rotating like on a spit. My guy like rotisserie chicken no, that's. [00:03:58] Speaker G: Not how my brain's imagining it. [00:03:59] Speaker C: Specifically, your brain could have. There was a pun, babe. There was a pun. [00:04:03] Speaker G: I'm sorry my brain's not funny enough for you. [00:04:05] Speaker A: Okay, babe? [00:04:07] Speaker G: But yeah, your hot sister exists. Who I personally would. And honestly, that's all my brain's letting me remember right now. Faris, can you please take my duty from me? Because honestly, woman, you know, I'm sorry. [00:04:18] Speaker D: Sure. [00:04:18] Speaker G: It'd be like that. [00:04:20] Speaker A: The important thing is that we now know that the row is no longer safe and there's a bounty out on Lorelei. That used to be, like, secret knowledge that we knew because Aubrey announced it but didn't tell the characters. But now the characters know, so that's a problem. We move our people to different safe houses. Clockwork Calls totally got hit again, but people were ready, so it was fine. We weren't there. We tried really hard to reduce our threat successfully and then still started an inquisition. [00:04:49] Speaker G: We don't know about that, but we're gonna find out. [00:04:54] Speaker A: Luck. Luck did that. Then we found out some stuff about the Lark Estate, which is that it has set configurations that get rotated every few weeks. We gotta deal with that. Lou met with her second eldest sister, who is evidently a hot bird woman, for tea, and just kind of, you know, spelled her out and then decided to let her know what's going on with the curse. And also Daddy Dearest's little potential betrayal. Lying. Something. Another something bad is going on with dad. Barry was. Perry was actually pretty cool about it, actually, and gave Lou a way to get in contact via the chorus. They had the most awkward hug imaginable. And then Grave Wing took Yuri out for drinks at Niall's ex workplace without Niall, and told Yuri about the rest of the bird transformation that Lou did not tell Yuri about. I don't know. Yuri seemed semi trustworthy about all that, so we'll see how that goes. Either way, they sure went straight home to their house for reasons we're about to find out. And, yeah, that's the important stuff. [00:06:18] Speaker B: It's very, very important stuff. So, yeah, Yuri, you. Depending on how you play this, you. Because you're probably going, what, in the evening? [00:06:37] Speaker E: I think it's probably already closer to the evening because I'm coming straight from the tavern. I did want to ask if. If the bakery dad was talking about would still be open around this time. [00:06:54] Speaker B: I'd say if you went early enough in the evening, it would probably still be open. [00:06:57] Speaker E: Okay. I would go swing by there. It's. It's Basically on the way. It's in Silver Court, just like a little further down and pick up what is their favorite pastry. Their favorite pastry is going to be. Which is very expensive because the ingredients to make it are hard to get. Is going to be just a croissant. A butter croissant. [00:07:26] Speaker B: Butter croissant. Yeah. [00:07:28] Speaker E: Yeah. Cuz you know, butter is hard to get because herd animals are weird now probably, I assume. I don't know. I'm making constipulations anyways. I go pick up there and then I will wait for it to get fully like night time before I head home. [00:07:49] Speaker B: Yeah. Just knowing this. There is a. The bridges do shut down at some point in the night. So there's a chance you may have to just crash over here and re. Rejoin with everyone in the morning. [00:08:06] Speaker E: Okay. [00:08:06] Speaker A: Do a giant deer and swim across the river, obviously. [00:08:09] Speaker B: Obviously. [00:08:10] Speaker E: Yeah. You know, you're the most stealthiest person in this party for sure. [00:08:14] Speaker C: Sure. [00:08:18] Speaker E: Yeah. Y. Yuri is not quite thinking about that part. So it's going to happen for sure. [00:08:24] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:08:25] Speaker E: It's. [00:08:25] Speaker B: It's fair. It's fair. Roll me a perception check as you approach your home. [00:08:35] Speaker E: I'm going to use cousin. That is what is my perception with Yuri. That is a 22 total. [00:08:47] Speaker B: 22. You do. As you approach the house, a lot of the lights are off. It does appear that quite possibly Potencia may be out tonight. And by this point the servants may have left. [00:09:04] Speaker E: Okay, okay. [00:09:09] Speaker D: Or. [00:09:12] Speaker E: Staying on the safe side, Yuri is going to go through their bedroom. There's always been a window that Yuri has intentionally broke the lock off of multiple times. And so they're going to try to shimmy it through and enter through their bedroom. [00:09:30] Speaker B: Yeah, the lock hasn't been fixed, so you can definitely do that. Is it your bedroom on the second floor? [00:09:37] Speaker E: It would be, yes. There is kind of like a wall of ivy that's grown on the side. [00:09:41] Speaker B: Yeah. Toss me. Toss me in an athletics check real quick. [00:09:45] Speaker E: Athletics. Thank you. That's a 1919. [00:09:52] Speaker B: Yeah, I know it's. It's no problem for you. This is mostly just, you know, trying to keep the noise down as you climb this ivy into this room that, you know, it's pretty much how you left it. There's been some minor like dusting and cleaning from the maids, but yeah, nothing's really been touched in here that you can tell. [00:10:17] Speaker E: And to give an idea of how Yuri left it, it is incredibly sparse. You could tell that Yuri has not spent a lot of time in this room. Slash home a Lot of their stuff is actually in the workshop in the back. So there's like, a very tidy bed that the sheets probably haven't even been changed this whole time because they haven't been used. [00:10:42] Speaker B: And. [00:10:44] Speaker E: Yeah, there's nothing really signifying that this is Yuri's room. It could be just a guest room, to be honest. Yeah. Yeah. I want to go first to Hortensia's study because I have some questions about what she's doing and want to see all of her notes. [00:11:20] Speaker B: So you do approach the study and the door is locked. [00:11:29] Speaker E: I am looking at my. Can I attempt picking it? Like, I have, like, an extra little thing. That's thievery, right? [00:11:36] Speaker B: Thievery, yes. [00:11:37] Speaker E: Great. We've had someone that's better at this whole time, but I have good thievery. That is a dirty 20. [00:11:45] Speaker B: A dirty 20. Yeah. No, it takes you a few minutes. But yet again, it's. I don't imagine this the first time you've picked a lock in this house. [00:11:55] Speaker D: No, no. [00:11:56] Speaker E: God, no. I've definitely done it before. [00:11:58] Speaker B: It's not like Horia has ever bothered updating any of these locks. [00:12:06] Speaker E: I am definitely trying to stay cautious while doing it. And when I enter, I'm going to close the door slowly and re. Lock it just in case someone does appear and notice that's unlocked for, like, whatever reason. [00:12:22] Speaker B: Yeah. You see this. This laboratory isn't really the word for it. It does seem that most of the stuff that she does involves herbs and plants in some way. And you can kind of see it's kind of like part study, part greenhouse, where through magical means is growing all of these plants. And you can kind of see that, like, on one of the tables, she currently is. Looks to be in the process of mixing something up. [00:13:04] Speaker E: Did I tell what is, like, in progress? It's like something I could even, like, vaguely recognize. [00:13:10] Speaker B: Yeah. Do you have nature or crafting? [00:13:16] Speaker E: I have. I do have crafting. I have. [00:13:19] Speaker B: Yeah, Crafting. Crafting would work. [00:13:21] Speaker E: Yeah, let's roll that. Let's see that. I'm not gonna use any hero points yet. [00:13:28] Speaker B: That's just an 11 and 11. This might have something to do with tea because sometimes, you know, the Hortensia makes her own tea. There's, like, a lot of herbs that are these purple herbs that are, like, being dried for tea. [00:13:46] Speaker E: Okay. Okay. I'm going to, like, take a sniff of whatever and, like, leave it alone. I want to start looking. The things I'm looking for specifically is to see if she has a stockpile of the medicine that she makes for that. And any notes, diagrams of, like, the recipe or structure, whatever Juniper had notes about and see if there's anything similar for that. And then also that's primary, secondary. I'd want to find stuff about business dealings, anything that she's been. Anyone she's been talking to recently. Receipts, notes, journals, perhaps. [00:14:32] Speaker B: Yeah, give me. Give me another perception check. So the, like, the scent profile of this. These, like, herbs is. It's kind of. It's kind of a little bit bitter with a Laurel, like, undertone. Okay. [00:14:53] Speaker E: Okay. Bitter sense of closeted homosexuality. Oh, sorry. Wrong show. Okay. Yuri's gonna, like, try to. In their inebriated state, try to keep that. They're not really inebriated. They had two drinks. They're fine. Yeah. And my perception check was a 22. [00:15:26] Speaker B: A 22. You find what appears to be, like, a ledger for business dealings. It's. It looks like whatever this tea is, she's been shipping a lot to some different families around the. The Vertes had a big order of it. [00:15:51] Speaker E: Okay. Okay. [00:15:54] Speaker B: And a few of the other, like, families has been dealing with. And it's. Everything is very neat. The eyes and the T's are crossed, and it's. It's a little too perfect. [00:16:14] Speaker E: While thinking about that, could I get, like. There's, like, probably spare vials and stuff. Could I get some of the ingredients and just put them into a spare vial? Like, unprocessed, just to have on me. [00:16:26] Speaker B: Yeah, you can. [00:16:29] Speaker E: Could I take a look at these notes? Because having everything be very deliberate, very done. I want to see if I could decipher any, like, code text, code writing or anything like that. Could I use something like, I guess, probably perception or I have, like, legal. Lord. See if there's anything like that. I don't know if that will be. Perception is just better. [00:16:57] Speaker B: I. Perception, medicine, crafting or occultism. [00:17:07] Speaker E: I have all of those for. Let's do medicine, though, for flavor. [00:17:12] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:17:19] Speaker E: I really want to know what this is. I'm using hero point. I'm using hero point because that's a two. [00:17:26] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. You are looking at these notes. It is describing what happens when someone drinks this tea. This tea is a poison. This tea is made of belladonna, wolfsbane, monkshood. When one drinks this tea, after a little while, there is numbness and tingling in the face and body, followed by extreme nausea. Nausea vomiting, you know, hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia. [00:18:09] Speaker E: Okay. Okay. I am much concerned about this. [00:18:19] Speaker B: He does admit that in. In one of her notes. Says that tests are going well in low doses. [00:18:28] Speaker E: Tests are going well in low doses. Hey Aubrey, is there any like pill looking things around here that kind of look similar? [00:18:48] Speaker B: Give me another perception check. [00:18:52] Speaker E: My dice wants me to know that's a 30. [00:18:56] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, there are. [00:18:59] Speaker E: How do they look like? Do they look similar to certain pills? [00:19:02] Speaker B: They look very similar to certain pills. And suddenly you're thinking about it. One of your father's first symptoms was numbness in his hands and body. [00:19:19] Speaker C: Damn. I didn't realize that your family line also had guinea pigs in them. [00:19:25] Speaker G: I love poisoning my loving husband. [00:19:28] Speaker C: She's living my dream. [00:19:32] Speaker E: Shut the fuck up. Woof. Okay. Hey, I'm gonna take all this stuff. I'm gonna take all these journals. This is a big ass jacket with lots of pockets. I want to take the journal that has the recipe for this journal that's describing the effects. And I'm gonna take all of these pills like physically grabbing them, not consuming them, not in the take like that. Just to be clear. [00:20:07] Speaker B: Get feed my dad the pills if I eat all of them. [00:20:15] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm gonna grab all the. In fact I'm gonna grab like there's some kind of rucksack or something in here. Gonna like kind of just scoop everything into that bag. [00:20:24] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. And yeah, the majority of the more you especially medicine. You're looking around. Almost all the plants in here are poisons of some kind. [00:20:36] Speaker E: We talked about blood boiling earlier in the tavern. Now like, like the cuffs around where this leather jacket is around Yuri's wrists, they're. They're starting to smoke a little bit. As Yuri's physical body temperature is now incredibly raised. Not like a feverish. Even though it'll probably be feverish for someone not curse with fiery blood. Yeah, thinking about thoughts about stuff. I am now going to look around this study because clearly, I mean I already knew this. Hortensia is incredibly private. I want to see if there's some kind of safe or anything hidden here. [00:21:24] Speaker B: Yeah, let's do another perception check it. [00:21:28] Speaker E: Cousin Dice. Let's go. That is a 21. [00:21:33] Speaker B: 21. The. The thing is there might be. But you don't know how long she's gonna be gone for. [00:21:45] Speaker E: Can I continue looking anyways? [00:21:47] Speaker B: Sure. Give me another perception check. [00:21:51] Speaker E: That is two better. So that's a 23, right? 12 plus 11. 23. [00:21:58] Speaker B: Yeah, you are. You've. I imagine you're not caring too much about how much of a mess you're making at this point. [00:22:05] Speaker E: Nope. [00:22:05] Speaker B: Yeah, you have gone over to a bookcase and You've just swept all of the books off and you know, you're trying to see if there's anything behind it. When you feel the telltale feel of a knife in your back. I do hear a male voice say, my sister has really doesn't hang out with the right kind of people anymore. [00:22:38] Speaker E: Instant reaction to try to turn around and tackle this person. [00:22:45] Speaker B: Well, let's roll some initiative. Fucking. [00:22:50] Speaker E: Okay. [00:22:51] Speaker A: You're not allowed to die. You understand me? [00:22:54] Speaker E: Not yet. There's a whole finale that's a 21 initiative. [00:23:02] Speaker B: And he just. He beats you with a 25. [00:23:08] Speaker E: Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof. [00:23:12] Speaker B: As you turn around to see a man in a sort of a white cowled outfit with a sword pointed at you. [00:23:24] Speaker E: I'm going to spit out, who the fuck are you? [00:23:30] Speaker B: I would say to ask my sister, but you're not going to see her again. And he's going to, for his first action, faint. [00:23:43] Speaker E: Oh, no. Oh, no. [00:23:44] Speaker G: That was a quick fight. [00:23:46] Speaker C: You fainted. [00:23:46] Speaker G: Battle's over. You may. [00:23:49] Speaker C: Up, dick. Cheap shot. [00:23:52] Speaker D: That's funny. [00:23:53] Speaker B: All right, how is a 32 against your perception? [00:23:57] Speaker E: D.C. that is a crit by one. [00:24:03] Speaker B: A crit by one. [00:24:04] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:24:06] Speaker B: Okay, you are off guard to bloodline until his next turn. [00:24:13] Speaker E: What was that name? [00:24:14] Speaker B: Bloodline. I'm right here. [00:24:23] Speaker C: I was thinking lowkey. And then Ferris wrote in Chad, like, oh, so your uncle is on your mother's side. And then I was like, oh, yeah, yeah, no, that makes sense. Other people can have siblings too. [00:24:35] Speaker E: Okay, so I'm off guard to grave wings, brother. Okay, cool, cool. [00:24:44] Speaker C: Did you say 32 also? Oh, my God. [00:24:47] Speaker B: Yeah. And has this rapier in one of his hands and is going to stab out with it. [00:24:56] Speaker E: Okay, cool, cool, cool. [00:25:00] Speaker B: So that is a natural 20 for a 40. [00:25:05] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. Me up, fam. That's just, just, just to let you know, that's a crit by eight. [00:25:17] Speaker A: Run, run, run. When you get a turn if you're not dead, run, run. [00:25:23] Speaker E: That's a problem. I'm drunk and angry. Oh, he gets a credit card, doesn't he, Aubrey? [00:25:33] Speaker B: He did. His card was called gusher. And you're gonna take bleed damage as well. [00:25:40] Speaker E: That's unfortunate. That's unfortunate for very. This very specific person. [00:25:48] Speaker B: So that's 41 damage. [00:25:51] Speaker D: Cool. [00:25:53] Speaker E: Let me just put the slider. Keep going. Oh, let's keep on going. 41. [00:25:57] Speaker B: And how much bleed that is include. The bleed is included in that. [00:26:02] Speaker E: Okay, cool. [00:26:06] Speaker B: And is going to just strike one more time with the dagger that was. [00:26:11] Speaker E: You know, that was just one. That was, you know, faint in that action. So they have. [00:26:19] Speaker B: They have mapped just a dirty 20. I don't know if that's gonna hit you. [00:26:24] Speaker E: I'm off guard. So it does. [00:26:28] Speaker B: Or 12 damage. [00:26:30] Speaker E: I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm in the lower third of my health. I'm fine. Okay. Can I just say thematically, since I'm now bleeding, that this blood has spurted across this study catching paper and flora aflame? [00:26:55] Speaker B: Yeah, thematically, that works pretty well. [00:26:57] Speaker E: Cool. Great. Great. I would like to spend an action. I don't imagine I had my weapon at the ready. [00:27:11] Speaker B: Absolutely not. [00:27:12] Speaker E: I'm gonna take it out. I'm gonna take the. The all for one out. It's currently in its. God, it's probably in its axe form. I'm gonna flip a coin to see if it's in its axe or gun form though. Heads, gun, tails, axe. And I want tails. It's in its axe form, so I'm gonna grab it and. Not looking great. Kind of holding my arm a little bit, but just saying. Awfully cocky, aren't you? And gonna swing with the all for one. Let's see, let's see. That is gonna be a 23 on the dice. [00:28:06] Speaker B: You think you have him. And then it's like the last second, it just kind of takes a half step back and it's just. It goes wide. [00:28:17] Speaker E: Bucket. Last action. The hybrid transformation as I am incredibly pissed off and the weapon drops. Yuri's horns start cracking and branching off looking like a dead tree atop their head. And they turn to this like 8 foot tall beast form. And I am currently in blood rage. However, that's my last action. [00:28:52] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, you do that. And the more of you look at it, it more looks like he has made his outfit to be almost a mockery of gravelings. Sort of invert the colors of Grave Wing's outfits. [00:29:12] Speaker E: That's fucked up. But I can't think about that right now. [00:29:17] Speaker B: Sees this happen and is going to take his first action to attempt to trip you. [00:29:25] Speaker E: Oh, okay. [00:29:28] Speaker B: So there's a 23. [00:29:30] Speaker E: That does beat it. [00:29:32] Speaker B: All right, so yes, first action to do that trips. You fall prone and he steps up to the plate and is with a free action, drops his dagger and just comes in with a punch. And that is a 22. [00:30:00] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah, that hits even if I wasn't tripped. [00:30:03] Speaker B: Yeah. So as this is happening, you can kind of feel like where his fist comes into contact with you. It almost has a static to it as it attempts to disrupt Whatever magic is affecting you. [00:30:20] Speaker E: Okay. [00:30:21] Speaker B: And that is 15 damage. [00:30:26] Speaker E: I'm still standing even though I'm on the ground. Not doing well. Gonna die. Yeah. [00:30:35] Speaker B: One more action, One more attack. [00:30:38] Speaker E: Still standing. [00:30:42] Speaker B: This time is unfortunately a 17, which I don't think is going to hit you. [00:30:47] Speaker E: That doesn't hit me even with my lowered ac. [00:30:51] Speaker B: Yeah, right. The end of bloodline's turn. [00:30:58] Speaker E: There are so many things that Yuri would normally be saying. We're normally equipping, but they are truly just fully gone right now. And is so upset at this. I'm going to now do a jaw attack. Trying to just, you know, they're punching. I'm just gonna try to like chop off their arm. So let's see. Let's see if it hits the damage, it's gonna count as silver. I don't know if that works, but it's gonna count as silver. Come on, cut some dice, cousin. Guys thinks it's fine. I'm getting my ass beat. That's a 23. Again. [00:31:47] Speaker B: The 23 does not hit. They're so close. [00:31:53] Speaker E: You're not gonna be stopping it's map. That's a 23. [00:32:03] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:32:06] Speaker E: I can't activate any of my other stuff. Unfortunately, I don't have bonus health right now. Let's go crit fishing. It worked last time. [00:32:18] Speaker B: What was that? [00:32:21] Speaker E: That's a natural one. [00:32:22] Speaker A: Aubrey, no. Dusty, take it back. [00:32:26] Speaker E: I can't. I already see hero point. [00:32:28] Speaker G: Aubrey, can I donate a hero point to Dusty out of pity? [00:32:31] Speaker B: No. [00:32:32] Speaker E: No. [00:32:32] Speaker A: Y' all ain't here through the fact I'm his cousin. [00:32:36] Speaker C: We are actually watching a full slaughter here, bro. This is not fun. [00:32:41] Speaker A: This is an assassination. [00:32:44] Speaker C: I'm joking. This is very fun. I'm just like, damn. Oh, my God. [00:32:49] Speaker E: Fight back. This motherfucker has to be like five levels higher than me or some. [00:32:55] Speaker A: I'm like, this is the boogeyman all over again, but without the deus ex machina of being a prologue. [00:33:00] Speaker C: His natural 20, it's about to be. [00:33:02] Speaker E: In that blog 40. [00:33:03] Speaker C: So we could actually do the math. [00:33:05] Speaker G: I'm about to write you obituary, buddy. [00:33:08] Speaker A: Don't say that. [00:33:10] Speaker E: Oh, no. Zax was going to write an obituary, but it's going to be oh, the word. [00:33:16] Speaker B: So your. Your card is called this is bad. [00:33:20] Speaker E: Oh, really? [00:33:21] Speaker B: You deal 1d10 damage to yourself. [00:33:25] Speaker E: Am I going to take myself out? I have. I could tell you right now, I have less than a D10 of health. [00:33:35] Speaker G: Liz, it would be so funny if you take yourself out. [00:33:38] Speaker B: Apparently it's just 1D. 1D10. Persistent bleed damage. [00:33:42] Speaker A: Oh, oh, oh, that's better. [00:33:44] Speaker E: You know so much better. [00:33:46] Speaker B: Which will end your turn. So I'm going to need you to roll that D10 and see how much damage you take and then you'll make a recovery check. [00:33:53] Speaker E: I need a very specific detent for this. I don't know if I have it. [00:33:56] Speaker C: On me, but, like, I just. [00:33:57] Speaker B: Just. [00:33:58] Speaker C: If you end up taking yourself out, at least. At least. At least you did that. [00:34:02] Speaker E: Well, it's just bleeding damage. And unfortunately, I was already bleeding, so we could blame your ass, brother. [00:34:07] Speaker F: I. I will give you the pleasure of killing me. [00:34:12] Speaker E: This is how I play magic. This is not how I want to play this. I'm just to inform you I am definitely playing using the cousin D10. [00:34:20] Speaker A: Please, cousins, bless this dice by the holy light of the moon. [00:34:25] Speaker C: You want to roll low, though, for that one. [00:34:29] Speaker B: Did you roll a 10? [00:34:30] Speaker A: Please, no. [00:34:33] Speaker E: Eight. [00:34:35] Speaker D: Stop. [00:34:36] Speaker E: Five. [00:34:37] Speaker A: You're lying. [00:34:39] Speaker E: Not. [00:34:40] Speaker G: That's really funny. I'm sorry. What a way to go, buddy. [00:34:44] Speaker C: Well, at least you know that. [00:34:45] Speaker E: Oh, sorry. It's even worse. It's a six, so I only have five left anyways. [00:34:51] Speaker B: Hey, wait, wait. [00:34:52] Speaker D: Dusty, is this the dice you're using? [00:34:55] Speaker E: Yeah, that's what I'm calling it. The diamond dice. [00:34:57] Speaker C: Oh, we have matching dice. [00:34:59] Speaker D: And so red. [00:35:00] Speaker A: Now you're dead. [00:35:02] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:35:02] Speaker E: Remember we said we had the matching dice set? I'd be calling this cousin dice. [00:35:05] Speaker A: I didn't know that. I roll them sometimes. Usually around cousins. [00:35:09] Speaker D: I hate this. [00:35:10] Speaker C: Oh, my God. Quick, Aubrey, send someone after Lou so they can match. [00:35:14] Speaker E: No, absolutely not. [00:35:17] Speaker A: Okay, so we will die faster. Don't worry. [00:35:21] Speaker B: As you are fading into unconsciousness, as this room is on fire and you're bleeding out, you hear him say, all the more reason for them to attend the ball. [00:35:35] Speaker A: And that's the end of the episode. [00:35:38] Speaker E: No, y' all are gonna go shopping. [00:35:39] Speaker B: Yes. [00:35:39] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:35:42] Speaker E: I gotta go shopping after this. [00:35:45] Speaker C: I was gonna say. I was gonna say, even though we kind of. We were like. We started a little bit late, like, that was. That was a salt. That was like. I feel like that was like a solid, what, like 20 minute beat down. [00:35:56] Speaker E: That was. [00:35:56] Speaker G: Yeah, technically it's not as long as our usual episode, but that's such a good ending point that I'm like, shooter episode as a treat. [00:36:04] Speaker E: No, I want y' all to go shopping. I want the. I want the audience to have this whiplash. Okay. And we could also just. Aubry could cut it in post. [00:36:13] Speaker A: Aubrey, I love some juxtaposition, but this is. This is Nightmarish. [00:36:17] Speaker C: No. [00:36:17] Speaker G: Let's go shopping. I think we should get some cute dresses, you know? [00:36:21] Speaker B: Yeah. It's the next day, and none of you. All of you just know is Gary just, you know, said something. Did you even tell people where you were going? [00:36:31] Speaker E: I told specifically Graveling that I was gonna take care of some family problems. [00:36:35] Speaker B: Yeah. Everybody else is just like, oh, you're eating the safe house last night. [00:36:43] Speaker C: Which safe house were we staying in? That. That needs to be kind of established. [00:36:47] Speaker B: Wollstonecraft Manor. [00:36:48] Speaker C: Wollstonecraft Manor. Okay, cool. Give one second. The next day, looking at everybody. Yuri is missing. [00:36:59] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:37:03] Speaker C: Oh. Did anybody see Yuri? I have, like, all of his money. [00:37:12] Speaker D: Why did they not come back? [00:37:16] Speaker C: No, he was taking care of some stuff, some errands, and then he just, like, left his entire wallet, which I then used to pay the tab. Just letting you know. I. I think. I think that's what it was, the. The intention, but I'm just saying it's a little used. [00:37:41] Speaker A: We got a moth, right? We have a moth. [00:37:44] Speaker D: You're in. [00:37:49] Speaker E: The other one. [00:37:49] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:37:50] Speaker D: I'm gonna send. [00:37:51] Speaker A: I'm gonna send them off to Yuri. [00:37:54] Speaker D: And just say, yuri was expecting you back already. Is everything okay? Where are you? Can we. Can we talk? [00:38:07] Speaker B: And it you speak into it with your hands cupped and it flies away. And we'll see what happens with that. But you have a little over a week before the ball. [00:38:23] Speaker G: Well, I prepared breakfast for everyone, including Yuri. Does anyone want an extra breakfast? [00:38:29] Speaker F: I'll take the cheese. [00:38:32] Speaker G: Oh, Alistair, I have learned well from you. I put extra cheese on your plate. [00:38:39] Speaker F: You can always have more. [00:38:42] Speaker G: It seems I still have much to learn from the Great Mouse Detective. I'm taking this deadpan fully seriously as I give you Yuri's sheath. But do you guys think Yuri is the type to go off and do something reckless and stupid that would get him into danger? [00:38:58] Speaker D: Yes. Oh. [00:38:59] Speaker C: He gave me all of his money. [00:39:04] Speaker B: I met him. [00:39:06] Speaker A: You've been around him for a few weeks now. [00:39:09] Speaker F: I know y' all keep talking about all of his, like, partners, maybe just having a good night. [00:39:22] Speaker A: Don't you need your wallet? [00:39:23] Speaker C: I don't. I. Oh, that's. Oh, that's a bird. I don't think it was a good. A good night. He got drunk and was very upset. I look at Lou specifically, very knowing. Well. Oh, God. You can't tell I'm wearing a mask. I look at Lou specifically with my. With my face like my expressionless ass mask, and I hope you're able to feel the Vibe that I'm pushing out here. Was it. [00:39:56] Speaker D: Did, did you take it badly? [00:40:04] Speaker C: He was pretty pissed. Not at you, but just at the situation as a whole. Take a sip of water. I told him everything. [00:40:15] Speaker D: And, and he seemed surprised. Oh yeah. [00:40:24] Speaker C: No. [00:40:28] Speaker D: I have to go home. [00:40:31] Speaker C: Are you sure about that? [00:40:33] Speaker D: I think that is why I went. How long, how long does it take to hear from the, the moths? [00:40:43] Speaker C: Lou? I don't know. You ate the last one. I. [00:40:46] Speaker A: What? [00:40:46] Speaker D: Oh, I almost. [00:40:48] Speaker A: No, you already would know. [00:40:49] Speaker C: Yeah, I, I didn't want to tell. [00:40:51] Speaker A: You that. [00:40:53] Speaker C: Because I thought you'd feel bad, but I just. I, I, I, I really can't help you here. [00:40:58] Speaker B: I'm trying to remember if Yuri told you all that they're only at the moment with the prototype. A one way message. [00:41:06] Speaker E: I, I did. Which is why I was sad that the other one was missing. And also that was worth 20 gold. [00:41:12] Speaker A: Oh, I only got the 20 gold part. I missed that they were one way. [00:41:16] Speaker C: Did they taste like 20 gold? [00:41:18] Speaker A: I don't. [00:41:19] Speaker D: I've never eaten coins before. I would not know. [00:41:22] Speaker A: I've licked them, so maybe I wouldn't know. [00:41:25] Speaker D: That's not the point. [00:41:26] Speaker A: The point is. [00:41:29] Speaker D: We'Re not going to know right away. [00:41:32] Speaker A: Unless. [00:41:33] Speaker D: Unless you already comes back. Maybe we can just go peek. [00:41:41] Speaker G: Lou, why are you eating moths? [00:41:43] Speaker D: I don't know. It was a weird day. Okay, I assume because it moved. Okay, I assume because I thought that. [00:41:51] Speaker A: I don't know. I don't know. [00:41:53] Speaker C: Okay. Okay. Here's what we're actually going to do. You want to go peek at your place? We can peek, but we're not going in right now. You know that your house is not safe. Yuri's not back. If Yuri went to your house and isn't back, I'm obliged to think that your father knows about you. [00:42:19] Speaker D: But probably he already does considering where I was when I changed. [00:42:36] Speaker C: You've. If he's not back and he went to your parents house, a bunch of us going there will not make a difference. They could literally just call anyone at this point. We will be overwhelmed. [00:43:02] Speaker D: But we have to know for sure. [00:43:05] Speaker C: So we're gonna peek and we're not going in. [00:43:09] Speaker D: All right. [00:43:11] Speaker C: Good. I really don't want to make you feel like. [00:43:15] Speaker D: Too late. [00:43:17] Speaker C: I don't want to make you feel worse. Also, Yuri is grown. [00:43:27] Speaker D: I don't. [00:43:27] Speaker C: They can make their own mistakes and ups. [00:43:32] Speaker D: I know. It's just different now. The stakes are higher now and he's. I just don't want to lose him. [00:43:47] Speaker C: I don't Think you will. That's a Moran. If anything, they're going to keep him alive out of spite. [00:43:57] Speaker D: I don't know if you understand how little regard they have for him in our family. [00:44:03] Speaker C: I don't think you understand how much of a regard your families have for you. Even if you are both the buttfuck black sheeps of the family. Rich people take all of their messy kids very seriously when it comes to their reputation. Oldest, youngest, doesn't matter. My brother in law is most likely still with his family that he fully abandoned. He was a lark. He's not a lark anymore. But that doesn't matter because he was the oldest. [00:44:45] Speaker D: Ari is the oldest. Yari is the only one. You are just the heir. [00:44:51] Speaker C: Okay, think about it that way. [00:44:57] Speaker D: I'm the only expendable one. Let us go. [00:45:00] Speaker C: You're not that expendable if your dad's been lying to you this whole time. I think you're just the easiest to control because you're the baby. [00:45:08] Speaker D: Let's just go. [00:45:10] Speaker B: Yeah. You all leave the. You leave the Wollstonecraft Manor. You head out into Darklight Bazaar. From there, heading across the bridge into Silver Court, kind of skirting Salvation Row a little bit because it's not exactly the safest place because Lorelei will be traveling with you. [00:45:41] Speaker C: Yeah, girlfriend. [00:45:42] Speaker F: Sorry, I am. I'm on the. I, I currently. I still think it's a like the hangover type situation. I don't know why that's the first thing that came to my mind. But like, I am investigating where Yuri went. Just for the record. [00:46:13] Speaker B: Yeah, for the record, you all deduct that silver piece for going across the bridge and as you enter. [00:46:23] Speaker C: No, we don't just. Yuri has to do it. Because if you're gonna be a fucking dumbass and do all of this, you are going to pay for it multiple ways. We go, pull out a gold coin, I have his whole wallet. This is exactly what I'm doing. Okay, we gotta pay the fee. I go, no, no. Everybody pulls out Yuri's wallet. I'm gonna start paying with that at some point. [00:46:50] Speaker G: Can I just like lean down to graveling and be like. I'm gonna be honest. I have no idea what this whole changing thing is going on with these siblings. Can you please, please fill me in on the details? Like you guys have been going off and I'm just a little lost, but I trust you. Just going and doing. [00:47:07] Speaker D: Just as a point of order. [00:47:09] Speaker A: Loot did also change her appearance before crossing the bridge. [00:47:14] Speaker B: Good to know. [00:47:15] Speaker C: Okay, Tick, do you need an actual tldr or, like, can I just. [00:47:20] Speaker G: Oh, everyone's been turning into blood curse going every time. Like, I'm pretty sure, like, Lou's full transformation has not been disclosed to. I think Niall or Alistair. All of you guys have been going. [00:47:29] Speaker C: Off, and I was like, Alistair was definitely there. [00:47:35] Speaker E: Okay. No, when you said in this. In the chat, public knowledge, I assume you meant the whole public. The party knows. [00:47:42] Speaker D: The party knows for sure. [00:47:44] Speaker G: Yeah. I don't think Niall was there. [00:47:46] Speaker E: I think Niall would still know. [00:47:51] Speaker C: Niall was present for Yuri's very first transformation in front of the party. [00:47:56] Speaker G: Not Luz. [00:47:56] Speaker C: You were not there for Luz at all, but you would have been 100% filled in on that. [00:48:01] Speaker G: Okay. [00:48:02] Speaker C: Yeah. So, like, just in case, like, graveling will, like, fill you in, but so that way I don't have to fill you in as Grave Wing, like, for the podcast. That's what's happening. I just wanted to double check and be like, wait, Tic, you do know. [00:48:15] Speaker G: About the family curse, just in case, right? Everyone. Everyone trans. Every time. Everyone's transformed. I've been gone, but Nyle's been there. And I'm like, how much have I been recapped on in character? The answer is everything. I know people are cursed as birds and deer and making bad decisions in this family. Like, I all filled it on that. Don't worry. Also having bad taste in people. Maybe Yuri's the bad taste and we just have that taste. Anyways, I'm good. Thank you. [00:48:41] Speaker F: Have to find Yuri before you. You can find out whether or not he tastes bad. [00:48:48] Speaker G: If Yuri dies, can I eat him? [00:48:50] Speaker B: I don't say that. [00:48:50] Speaker G: I think that, though. [00:48:51] Speaker C: Yes, you can. I guess you could say Yuri's on ice. [00:49:04] Speaker G: All right, let's go, girls. [00:49:05] Speaker B: Yeah. So as you won't cross into Silver Court, please give me perception checks. [00:49:16] Speaker F: Is this perception check related to finding Yuri? [00:49:21] Speaker B: Yes. [00:49:22] Speaker C: 30. [00:49:24] Speaker D: I use the cousin dice. [00:49:27] Speaker F: Wow. [00:49:28] Speaker E: At least it's helping someone. [00:49:30] Speaker C: D6. [00:49:31] Speaker A: I'm its favorite cousin. I guess. [00:49:35] Speaker G: That'S a. That's a 16. I'm catching up to the great Mouse detective. [00:49:43] Speaker F: My mod's 4 higher, and I only got 1 point higher. [00:49:48] Speaker B: So it's really not hard to see the smoke. That is the first thing that catches all of your attention. [00:50:02] Speaker D: Where? [00:50:03] Speaker C: Where? [00:50:03] Speaker A: What direction? What direction is the smoke? [00:50:05] Speaker B: Aubrey's home, the Moran estate. [00:50:11] Speaker A: Lou's gonna just change directions without a. [00:50:15] Speaker C: Word, and then I make sure that the other. Okay. Above table, because I'm unsure. Are you not okay, Tick? Are you okay if I say the Boys and refer to specifically like Alistair Nile in this scenario. [00:50:33] Speaker G: Yeah, Alistair. I swear I say Alistair. No, Alistair uses pronouns, but now he uses he and they pronouns. You can call them the boys all you want. [00:50:40] Speaker C: Yeah, no, I just want to double check. I just want to double check. The boys, plural. [00:50:43] Speaker A: Because it's. [00:50:45] Speaker G: Anyways, in this essay. [00:50:46] Speaker C: Technically. Yeah, I was going to say this. Oi, boys with oi. Ois, please. There's at least three boys here. So, yeah, I'm just gonna make sure that the boys are following because of those shit ass rolls. And I will follow. I'm. I know I'm faster than Lou, but I wish to just keep paced with her. [00:51:12] Speaker A: Is LA technically with us? [00:51:14] Speaker B: Technically, yes. [00:51:15] Speaker A: Okay. Just in case it comes up. [00:51:20] Speaker D: Combat wise. [00:51:22] Speaker C: Lorelei is also here. So we have minimum two rogues. I think Lorelei is a rogue. [00:51:29] Speaker B: Minimum two master my broke. [00:51:33] Speaker C: Minimum two rugs that we can throw at people. [00:51:36] Speaker B: But you all see it. Honestly, there's. There's a crowd of people gathered around. It's. The house isn't burned down, but a large part of it is burned out. You see, there are guards keeping people back from the. The. The estate itself. None of you see Yuri Hortensia or anyone like. Anyone like that. And sort of like there's a crowd of just onlookers gathered to sort of figure out what's going on. Because, you know, this house kind of just caught fire last night. [00:52:22] Speaker A: Lou's going to drop the disguise and run up to one of the guards trying to keep people back and say. [00:52:32] Speaker D: This is my cousin's house. Was anyone in the. [00:52:36] Speaker B: There, they will sort of like hold up a hand for you to say, please take a step back. [00:52:43] Speaker D: I am Lady Alouette Valer. [00:52:45] Speaker A: This is my cousin's estate. [00:52:47] Speaker D: You will tell me what happened here. [00:52:53] Speaker B: Give me a diplomacy check. [00:52:58] Speaker G: That tone of voice I'm scared of. I would do what she asked. I'm just saying, you know. [00:53:04] Speaker D: 22. [00:53:05] Speaker B: 22. The card will say there was a fire that broke out in the estate last night. As far as we're aware, everyone in the house is fine, but the house is considered unsafe for the time being. [00:53:21] Speaker D: Where are the inhabitants? [00:53:23] Speaker A: Where is my cousin? [00:53:26] Speaker B: Unfortunately, I don't know that. Just told that. Then they're all fine. [00:53:31] Speaker A: Well, who does know if not you? Get me someone else. [00:53:35] Speaker D: Where's your captain? [00:53:38] Speaker B: You know, they. They start like asking around. And it is starting. You're getting sent to. From one person to another person to another person to another person to another person. You learn that Hortensia and Felipe have been relocated to the Valere estate for the time being. [00:53:56] Speaker D: And no word on Yuri? [00:54:00] Speaker B: No word on Yuri. As far as I told, those are the only two people who were in the house when it caught fire. [00:54:08] Speaker D: All right. Thank you for your cooperation. [00:54:13] Speaker A: Gonna go back to the group. I'm gonna tell them what I learned. [00:54:19] Speaker D: So I think that is a good a sign. It is a sign that perhaps he was at my father's house. So something burned this one down. [00:54:36] Speaker G: Knowing Yuri, if anything happened with him, hypothetically, if there's no body, he's probably still kicking somewhere. [00:54:47] Speaker D: Alistair, you have been very small in the past. Can you be small again? [00:54:57] Speaker F: I would need to go get another scroll. I'm. [00:55:03] Speaker B: I. [00:55:04] Speaker F: There's some books I can research. I'm wanting to learn how to do that again. But I use. Used to scroll the last time I did. [00:55:15] Speaker D: I understand. [00:55:18] Speaker F: It was fun though. Could like crawl in little holes. [00:55:24] Speaker D: Good. Good for you. I need to be within 500ft of. Actually, I'm going to do it here. [00:55:35] Speaker A: And I'm going to try it again later. I'm gonna cast message to Yuri. I have its 500 foot range and just say. [00:55:45] Speaker D: Are you okay? [00:55:48] Speaker B: Yur. You don't get a reply. [00:55:51] Speaker D: All right. Not here. Then let me try. [00:55:56] Speaker C: I can cover a mile. [00:55:58] Speaker D: Yes. You have more rang. [00:56:02] Speaker C: I'm gonna cast Whisper on the wind. Right. [00:56:09] Speaker B: Hold. [00:56:09] Speaker C: I don't. I don't. Normally I like hold my hand out in the air. This time I'm just like putting it up kind of gently in front of me so I don't attract attention. Like I'm raising my hand to ask the teacher a question. And I'll say, on my authority, Yuriodo Moran, where the are you? [00:56:37] Speaker B: So, yeah, speaking of Yuri, where you are, you wake up in a small room. Appears to be, maybe not necessarily initially meant to be a prison cell, but it has been kind of repurposed into one. These walls are this embellished metal like gears and mechanisms, quite possibly the Lark Estate. And you, you've been just sort of trying to figure out where you are, what's going on when you hear this message. But unfortunately, you cannot see grave wings. I don't think you can reply. [00:57:34] Speaker E: I don't even think I know the specifics of that ability very well. I just know that graveling's looking in. I imagine I am still beat the hell up. [00:57:46] Speaker B: Oh yeah, they did the bare amounts to make sure you didn't die. You were probably unconscious for about eight hours. [00:57:55] Speaker E: Yeah, I. I think I've been in and out. And that kind of like maybe startles me awake. I'm like leaning up like holding like the wounds on like my. My chest where the I got stabbed and everything. And just going to whisper most mainly to myself just why is everything terrible? And going to really yell louder. Hello? Anyone? Anyone here? [00:58:38] Speaker B: You hear a voice from a year maybe room next door saying, oh, they finally deemed to give me company. [00:58:51] Speaker E: Good company, I guess. Bad. What? [00:58:56] Speaker B: Well, I've kind of been alone down here for the last month. Is this. [00:59:04] Speaker E: Do I recognize this voice? [00:59:06] Speaker B: I don't think you've ever met him. [00:59:09] Speaker E: Oh, okay, so it's not echoes. [00:59:11] Speaker B: No, it's not echoes. [00:59:12] Speaker E: Okay. I was like, oh, it's echoes. And I would say, would they take you in for spitting on the guard? [00:59:24] Speaker B: Vigilantism. [00:59:28] Speaker E: Oh, that's exciting. I think. [00:59:32] Speaker B: Yeah. This isn't your. I guess you may have noticed this is not your normal accommodations. [00:59:42] Speaker E: No. Some in an ugly suit stabbed me. [00:59:48] Speaker B: Yeah, he's comes down to gloat occasionally. [00:59:55] Speaker E: I wish he'd come down sooner. I say broken ribs. Where is this place? [01:00:06] Speaker B: We are in the Lark family estate, I believe We're. They're using a very specific configuration. God, it's. I hate that. It's a brilliant design because it's horrible, but it's brilliant. And I want to destroy. Destroy it. [01:00:29] Speaker E: Well, I'm good at destroying things usually. Who. Who are you? [01:00:35] Speaker B: You can call me Tristan. [01:00:37] Speaker E: Okay, now. Tristan and murid on my end, huh? [01:00:44] Speaker B: Heard about you. [01:00:46] Speaker E: A lot of people have. Unfortunately. You didn't know any of my exes, did you? [01:00:56] Speaker B: It depends. I don't know. [01:01:00] Speaker E: Yeah, usually it's bad news when it comes from their mouse. Mostly understandably. [01:01:08] Speaker B: I mean. I mean it's mostly it's just because family has money. So I was kind of plugged into all of that for of a while. I knew a lot of those people, but you know, not my scene anymore. [01:01:22] Speaker E: You know, I get it. I understand. I normally in the same boat. Oh, everything hurts. Oh, my bones grew back wrong, I think. [01:01:39] Speaker B: Yeah, they're just going to mostly just keep you alive. I don't really care if you heal properly or not. [01:01:47] Speaker E: Oh, it's a. Never mind. Well, it's. Now we have two people for you to start thinking how to break out of here. [01:02:03] Speaker B: Well, maybe we can figure something out. I don't know. [01:02:06] Speaker E: Yeah, I don't do well in cages, so we'll see what happens. [01:02:13] Speaker B: I don't think I do well either. I don't know. [01:02:19] Speaker E: Does. Does the moth actually get here. [01:02:23] Speaker B: Yeah. Eventually it takes it a lot longer than said message because you're in a room without windows. So the moth has to navigate. And eventually sort of on the. There's sort of the door and it's kind of got your classic like small little window with bars on it. And eventually you watch as this little moth alights on the window and you hear Alouette's voice coming from it and you hear Tristan say like what the fuck? [01:02:56] Speaker E: Yuri is going to like be excited to see the moth and hear loose message and face drops immediately feels absolutely terrible. And it's gonna say, well, it's gonna take at least another day, but we could talk to people outside. [01:03:17] Speaker B: That's actually pretty good. [01:03:22] Speaker E: I know a really brilliant engineer. [01:03:27] Speaker B: Well, what day is it anymore anyways? [01:03:32] Speaker E: What day Was it yesterday? [01:03:35] Speaker B: The 21st of windfile wind file. Yeah. [01:03:38] Speaker A: That's when Yuri was taken. [01:03:40] Speaker B: Yes. [01:03:41] Speaker E: Okay. So I think going to like assuming it hasn't been more than 24 hours. 22nd wile. [01:03:54] Speaker B: Okay. So yeah, a month, A little over a week before the ball. [01:04:02] Speaker E: Yeah. Yeah. You were. [01:04:06] Speaker B: If they do plan to do the ball like they've done before, they'll move it into this specific configuration which I mean you kind of started hearing them mumble as they're doing mental math in their head. [01:04:19] Speaker E: Yuri is just going to very gingerly. Well, the moth Mike, I assume I'm not wearing like the armored coat or anything. [01:04:28] Speaker B: No, you are stripped down to essentially just literally shirt and pants. [01:04:34] Speaker E: Okay. Yuri is going to very gingerly kind of like tuck the moth underneath their horn under their hair so it doesn't move anywhere. So like it doesn't get seen. If anyone else comes by. [01:04:54] Speaker B: You kind of settle in to talk with your new friend and possibly come up with a plan for things and we move back. To everyone else on the streets above graveling, you do get the feeling that the message was delivered. The streets above you say the message was sent. [01:05:16] Speaker C: It was delivered. He got it. He's alive. [01:05:20] Speaker D: Oh good, good. [01:05:24] Speaker C: He couldn't send me a message back though. And. [01:05:29] Speaker D: And that is because it is a. A one way message or line of sight. Line of sight, yeah. [01:05:36] Speaker C: For me I can send it anywhere. To get a reply is difficult. Yeah. [01:05:45] Speaker D: Then we know that he is within a mile. [01:05:50] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:05:51] Speaker F: Maybe he's at your dad's house. [01:05:56] Speaker D: It is possible. If we get closer, I can do another message spell and see if that is if he is there, we won't. [01:06:05] Speaker F: Be able to investigate this place. I nod towards the fire until at least tonight. [01:06:16] Speaker C: Then we got a plan. Let's specifically send. Let's try your message. But I really advise not going into your dad's place. Okay, enough. [01:06:33] Speaker D: Not without. Not without a better plan. Not that he's alive. So we have time. [01:06:41] Speaker C: We do have time. [01:06:45] Speaker D: I'd like to head to the house. [01:06:50] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:06:53] Speaker D: And cast. Message. [01:06:55] Speaker B: Message. Yeah. Yeah. You see the Valer Estate. What do you want to send. [01:07:05] Speaker D: To Yuri, obviously, and just say, do you know where you are? Are you. Are you safe? [01:07:19] Speaker B: Don't get an answer. At the Belair Estate. [01:07:25] Speaker D: Car wing. If a message is received, that means that they were conscious to hear it, right? [01:07:33] Speaker C: Yeah. At least that's how. How I think it works. [01:07:38] Speaker D: All right, then that means he is not here. But then that means I don't know where else he could be. [01:07:47] Speaker C: Look, he's probably within the area you sent that moth. So unless somebody shoots down that moth, you might get it back faster. [01:08:00] Speaker D: I think it's a day. So maybe tomorrow we will know more. [01:08:07] Speaker C: We can spend some more time here if you want. See if the moth comes back. Maybe the fires are handled at night. We can have Alistair sniff around. [01:08:22] Speaker D: Is the house. Is anything. [01:08:26] Speaker A: What's the house looking like right now? The Valere house. [01:08:33] Speaker B: You do notice there are several guards stationed outside of the Valer house currently. [01:08:41] Speaker D: That's unusual. [01:08:45] Speaker B: And they don't appear to be city guard. [01:08:48] Speaker D: That's very unusual. Whose are they? [01:08:55] Speaker B: Give me a society check. [01:08:58] Speaker C: Can I also. [01:09:02] Speaker D: Buddy. [01:09:05] Speaker C: 22. [01:09:06] Speaker D: 20, 20. [01:09:11] Speaker B: Yeah, it takes you a second. It's. It's House Werther. They have House Werther crests on their armor. [01:09:24] Speaker A: Does this make any sense to me? [01:09:29] Speaker B: I mean, do you know Victoria and Nikolai Vera are the senators of the district? [01:09:39] Speaker D: Yeah, but I thought they hated us. Apparently not. [01:09:46] Speaker A: This is such a gay aside, but this whole episode, I've just been like, man, Blaze, I want to talk to you. The impulse is strong. [01:09:57] Speaker D: Okay? [01:09:58] Speaker A: Le being quiet. And I'm just following the impulse, I guess. [01:10:03] Speaker B: Le knows if they speak, they'll say something sassy about Yuri. And then, I don't know, someone might fight them. [01:10:09] Speaker D: Yep. [01:10:13] Speaker B: In their life. Le has decided that assignments is the best option. [01:10:21] Speaker A: Yeah. Lou will pull back from the house, obviously. I think even going near it was just as close as it takes to see the house and be in range of the spell. Especially since she's not able to be. [01:10:35] Speaker D: In disguise right now because she already spent it. [01:10:40] Speaker A: But she will pull back kind of out of sight and relay the house fair to information. And also the fact that by her understanding, they were not friends of House Werther. [01:10:55] Speaker D: I don't see Vandinkatui garner the invitation to the harvest world. [01:11:00] Speaker A: None of us. Not even Palomas. [01:11:02] Speaker D: People love Paloma. [01:11:05] Speaker C: Do I have any dirt on House Werther? [01:11:12] Speaker B: Give me one more second side to check. [01:11:17] Speaker C: O. Let me. Oh, why am I. Why am I using. I can. I can add 10 to a number. 28. [01:11:28] Speaker B: 28. Yeah. You. It's not common knowledge, but you've probably worked in the house before. So you were aware that both of the Vertas are dying dfier and they have a problem where they keep literally eating the help. [01:11:50] Speaker C: Verito. It's been a hot minute. Used to work for them. They're both dier. They have a habit of eating the help. So you can imagine how much I had to dodge. [01:12:04] Speaker D: Oh gods. Those are senators. [01:12:17] Speaker C: Listen, listen, listen. I don't got. I don't have anything against Dumpier. [01:12:23] Speaker D: No, but you don't eat your help. [01:12:26] Speaker C: Yeah, that's. That's the issue. That's actually the real issue. [01:12:29] Speaker B: I think. [01:12:29] Speaker D: I think Dump your. I love dump. [01:12:31] Speaker C: Here we all say Lorelei Laythe just like standing there. We have two top tier rogues that we can throw at the enemy. [01:12:42] Speaker A: We can only acknowledge one. Nobody but me knows about Lays. I think this is true. Maybe Lorelei because Lou was not that subtle. Lorelei might have figured it out. [01:12:51] Speaker B: But yeah, Lorelei has figured it out. [01:12:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:12:58] Speaker C: You just gotta vibe check each other. They're like. They're like. You know, like they point the teeth like. [01:13:02] Speaker A: Ah. [01:13:02] Speaker C: They're like. Okay, that's. It's real simple. [01:13:05] Speaker A: Blaze does not have pointy teeth. I remember this detail from the prologue. Because I'm gay. [01:13:13] Speaker C: Doing. First of all, you had to listen. You couldn't stare at the mouth. You were listening about the mouth. [01:13:21] Speaker A: And then I noticed that down for the future. [01:13:27] Speaker C: The true downfall is all this miscommunication in your bloodline. [01:13:34] Speaker D: Well, that is definitely interesting. But at the moment I do not know what it has to do with them being at my house. [01:13:48] Speaker C: I mean, the Morans also have a senator relative. So could just be all the bad fuckers are supporting each other right now. [01:14:03] Speaker D: It could be. I. The only other thing I can think of to do now is to. And you're going to frown immediately. But don't. I can contact my sister. [01:14:19] Speaker C: 1. I'm always frowning from this. 2. Is this a sister that you can trust? [01:14:29] Speaker D: Maybe do so. [01:14:32] Speaker C: Do it. But just hope that she doesn't rat you out. [01:14:37] Speaker B: Laith will also speak up at this point and Mention that the. The Vertas are part of the Unbroken. [01:14:46] Speaker D: Oh, I don't like that. [01:14:48] Speaker C: No wonder they ate the help. Akos was into that shit too. [01:14:55] Speaker D: But my family would not be. I. I understand that I do not know them as well as I thought I did. But that is very squarely in the realm of heresy. And they would rather cut off every member of the family's arms than be accused of being heretics again. [01:15:22] Speaker C: It is. [01:15:23] Speaker D: The one defining principle of our family is that you do not do anything to become even close to being suspected of even unpiousness. [01:15:39] Speaker F: Maybe their minds were taken over or they're prisoners. [01:15:44] Speaker C: I. I would not be that generous with them. People will change anything to make it work for them. That includes. Includes religion. That includes their family, their children. [01:16:09] Speaker D: I don't know. I have to think about this. I have to go to Ravenswood to get in contact with my sister. And I guess find out whether or not my trust in her was misplaced. Is there anything else we need to do in Silver Court? Should we tell the Midnights any of this? [01:16:35] Speaker C: I plan to be coming back to Silver Court. I have to make a quick stop at Darklight to pick something up. So when I come back, I can let them know. [01:16:42] Speaker D: All right. I may come back with you. I do not know yet. That's fine. [01:16:49] Speaker C: I can always meet you with Ravens back at Ravenswood and we can figure it out from there. [01:16:54] Speaker D: Okay. [01:16:56] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:16:57] Speaker D: Let's go. [01:16:58] Speaker B: Yeah. You cross the bridge again, pay the toll and head into Darklight. Headed to the shop. [01:17:06] Speaker F: Is Yuri paying the toll again? [01:17:08] Speaker C: Yes. [01:17:09] Speaker G: I think it's funny that we keep making Yuri pay the toll. We're using a toll wall. We should buy. We should use Yuri's money as a treat. You know, like we should get ourselves a little treat. [01:17:16] Speaker C: I don't care if it's all gone because of how many times we cross this bridge. Yuri's paying now. [01:17:24] Speaker D: This is. This is. [01:17:25] Speaker C: This is what's what happens. [01:17:26] Speaker G: Yuri actually ends up 20 golden debt to the mafia by the time we get back. [01:17:31] Speaker C: No, obviously when Yuri's like. If Yuri's like all out of money, then Yuri's out of money. And then we use our own money. [01:17:40] Speaker G: No, I think putting him into debt is funnier. But anyways. [01:17:45] Speaker B: Yeah. You approach the North Star armaments. [01:17:51] Speaker A: What did you need from here? [01:17:53] Speaker C: I'm actually not going to North Star. I'm going to the blacksmith. That or not the blacksmith. To the jeweler specifically. No. It is a blacksmith that has to be able to shape it into jewelry. Now that I think about it, with how this works, I'm going to basically grab. Pick up my commission and then commission some more. [01:18:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:18:14] Speaker C: The. I'm commissioning in batches. This next batch is going to be for the party specifically. Alyssa's not here to object, but because originally I made something for lathe with this batch, this one that's meant for Leith. I'm. I am going to give it to Nadia later because right now I'm more focused on the kitties and Lorelei. [01:18:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:18:46] Speaker C: Did anybody come with me to do this? [01:18:52] Speaker G: Like a vampire. You want me to come, you have to invite me. [01:18:56] Speaker B: Unless I would have gone with you. Unless you told her not to. [01:19:00] Speaker A: Same. [01:19:01] Speaker C: Okay, so it's. It's. I. It's the way I wouldn't have done that. So, yeah, I go to a little place, I pick up some things, I look at it and I go, okay, damn, this is. Okay, this is pretty good work. I go commission some more. I don't tell. I don't say out loud that it's for the party. I just tell them specifically what I want, how many that I want because I don't like you guys. And I will also gift for the. [01:19:31] Speaker B: People I don't like. [01:19:32] Speaker C: I don't like them. And. And I want those. That batch done together. And then I have another badge set aside for other NPCs that I like but don't actually like. So. And like, that can be done after the party one. It's more so, like I'm. I'm getting ready to. To do this, like, to leave my materials here and then pay in installations if I have to. I already paid for this one to be done. So, like, I don't remember how much I have to pay. [01:20:00] Speaker B: Yeah, I'll look up how much it was, and you'll pretty much just be paying batches of that because you're getting kind of the same thing. [01:20:07] Speaker C: Okay. And that's what's gonna happen. I know that I do have enough money that I have because I'm a hoarder to. To pay for these commissions. But when I do get them, I look at them, I give you one eighth of a smile because I'm happy with how they look. And I'm just gonna, like, hide this. This bag somewhere on me for now, so that way I can give, like, when I. When I cross over to Silver Court again, I can go give them to my kids. Save the one for Nadia. And I have Lorelei stuff in here. I want to give that to her in private because it feels Awkward to have the whole party here, minus Yuri and. And. And. And. [01:20:58] Speaker D: Yeah. And. [01:20:58] Speaker C: Yeah, I. I'm not a grand gesture. Grave wing is not a grand gesture type of person. Graveling is a. So many things are in private. I don't think that includes pda, though. We gonna find out. But yeah, that's it. That's. That's all I needed to do. And then we can go to Ravenswood pretty much right after. [01:21:24] Speaker D: Does it have to be a specific feature or is it just annual theater? [01:21:29] Speaker B: There is. There is one theater in Ravenswood and it's called. It's called the Silver Light. [01:21:45] Speaker D: Okay. [01:21:46] Speaker A: Lou is gonna go in and as instructed, is going to ask for the chorus from anyone. One present. [01:21:59] Speaker B: Yeah. There's someone working in the theater. And you give them the coin and you say you want to talk to the chorus, and they nod and say, going into the theater. [01:22:12] Speaker D: Going to go in. These are also my friends. Can they come with me? [01:22:19] Speaker B: They're with you then. Sure. [01:22:22] Speaker D: Okay, we go in. [01:22:26] Speaker B: Yeah. You all walk into this theater with it's dark, but a little magical ghost light on the stage. [01:22:37] Speaker D: Oh, it's so haunted. [01:22:40] Speaker B: It's small. This is, you know, it's a small, tiny little theater. Kind of benches for seats. Sitting on the front bench is a person. Can't really see much of them from behind. Sort of shadowed in darkness. There's kind of like they gently glow. Have sort of a bit of a glow about them. [01:23:13] Speaker D: Hello. [01:23:16] Speaker B: Hello. [01:23:21] Speaker D: I was told I could come here and ask for the chorus and that. That might put me in touch with my sister. Yeah, a lot more shadier than I was expecting in terms of actual shadows. [01:23:41] Speaker B: I'm the chorus and unfortunately, Paloma is on a mission right now. But let's see what I can do to help. [01:23:53] Speaker D: Oh, okay. I'm looking for my cousin. They have gone missing. [01:24:03] Speaker B: Cousin. [01:24:05] Speaker D: Our cousin. This is my sister's cousin as well, if that helps. [01:24:10] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. You sort of taking. Taking a seat. [01:24:17] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:24:20] Speaker B: They don't turn around to, like, face you or anything. You don't have any problems hearing you. You suspect they're using magic of some kind. As you. As you approach, you can kind of see the telltale set of horns on top of their head and kind of a little bit of a tail. And I kind of have this sort of like grayish skin. Kind of reminds you of just ash. And it itself is sort of like glowing with a. Almost like a fire. [01:24:55] Speaker A: I know you said this isn't my sister, but are you sure it's not actually my sister? But she's not mentally home. Because you're describing my sister. Is this fairy. [01:25:07] Speaker B: Irido Moran, your cousin? [01:25:09] Speaker D: Yes. [01:25:14] Speaker B: Yes. The. The Adagio have reported him taken by the Unbroken. [01:25:24] Speaker D: Oh, that's very ungood. Where are. [01:25:33] Speaker B: If my sources are correct, quite possibly hidden within the Lark Estate. [01:25:46] Speaker D: All right, that's bad. But convenient. But bad. Do you know why, by any chance? They are. They are kidnapped? [01:26:04] Speaker B: Don't know the why. Information hasn't made its way back to me yet. But you all have been making a stir these last few weeks. [01:26:17] Speaker D: Quietly. I mean, that's like. We weren't using, like, our names or anything, you know. [01:26:24] Speaker B: People in power have their ways. [01:26:28] Speaker D: Okay, and so it is retaliation? [01:26:37] Speaker B: A little bit of yes, a little bit of no. Sounds like they're setting up a trap. [01:26:44] Speaker D: Is. Is that. Is there anything else that you can tell me about all of this? He. He is okay, is he not? [01:26:56] Speaker B: Sources say he's still alive. [01:26:58] Speaker D: That is a very different answer, but thank you. [01:27:03] Speaker B: He did not look okay when a man in white pulled him out of a burning building. [01:27:11] Speaker D: All right. [01:27:13] Speaker A: A clue. [01:27:16] Speaker D: I did. [01:27:17] Speaker C: Did this man in white go by the name Bloodline? [01:27:23] Speaker B: Sources say yes. [01:27:35] Speaker D: Do you know how long Yuri will continue to be alive? I don't know. If you're like a Magic 8 ball, I am sort of treating you that way. And I apologize, but I'm very stressed. [01:27:52] Speaker B: Well, I'm. As a good agent, I'm happy to be of service. So if things are the way I think they are, they should be fine. At least until the ball. [01:28:11] Speaker D: Well, we already haven't. Oh, wait. I shouldn't tell you that. Great. Thank you. You probably already know. Okay. Okay, Great. Is there anything else that sounds useful to you that you think would be wonderful for us to know? [01:28:29] Speaker B: For a very long time, I've wanted to get my hands on the schematics for the Lark Estate. If you bring this to me, you will be rewarded. [01:28:39] Speaker D: Oh, here you. Ominous, but cool. Do you happen to know why there are Verta guards outside of the Valar House? [01:28:55] Speaker B: It all comes back to the Unbroken. [01:28:59] Speaker D: All righty. You are a fount of happy, happy knowledge. [01:29:07] Speaker C: If we ever need this happy, happy knowledge again. How can we reach you? [01:29:14] Speaker B: Once Paloma gets back in the city, she can get in touch with me. It is better that I don't conduct as much business in the limelight, but bring the plans back by this theater. Say they're a gift for the chorus, and I'll be in touch. [01:29:43] Speaker D: Thank you. [01:29:45] Speaker B: You're welcome. [01:29:48] Speaker C: As soon as we are outside and Maybe a block or two away. I am gonna like look at the rest of the group and be like, I don't know what Yuri did. My God, he's a fucking idiot. [01:30:07] Speaker D: It sounds like he only went home. [01:30:10] Speaker G: Not the paradise from earlier. But didn't we know that? [01:30:16] Speaker C: Well, no, I shouldn't just say that. One good thing that came out is that we know that the masquerade's a big trap. [01:30:25] Speaker D: And now they want us to be there. And they know we are coming. [01:30:32] Speaker C: They do. [01:30:34] Speaker D: And they have made sure that we cannot stay away. [01:30:39] Speaker F: Only leaves one thing to do. [01:30:42] Speaker B: Get ready. [01:30:44] Speaker A: Stopping transition. [01:30:48] Speaker G: Are you sure we have to go on a shopping trip? Shouldn't we like, is there anything that we could do or are we just going shopping and always let you in. [01:30:56] Speaker A: If you don't look? [01:30:57] Speaker C: Right? Yeah, we. We have. We actively have to. Have to go shopping for clothes and stuff. But obviously we should try to do like other things we had. Alistair did suggest the other plan of trying to find a former recent help. Oh yeah. Interview them about what's up. So there we. It's. We still have time to do those things, but like high key. I don't think. Unless Niall wants to stay in that entire mission as a maid. I don't think Nile made for this particular thing is a good idea. We have like what, two weeks? Less than two weeks. Technically over a week. [01:31:49] Speaker G: I'll do what I have to. [01:31:51] Speaker C: Oh, Jesus. You're not gonna get hired in a week, buddy. You're not? No. [01:31:57] Speaker G: I'm gonna have to dress as a maid. Outfit at a masquerade. I don't. I'm not one for formal outfits. I'm going to be very honest. Honest with you. I don't think I'd look good in much. [01:32:07] Speaker D: Don't say that. You would look wonderful in anything. [01:32:10] Speaker G: That's very sweet of you, dear, but I have more mouths than an average person and covering them isn't very easy. [01:32:16] Speaker D: You would be surprised what a good tailor can do. [01:32:21] Speaker G: Where would I find a good tailor in our budget? [01:32:25] Speaker D: We crash. This is only crashing. Feathers. [01:32:29] Speaker F: You mean Yuri's budget, don't you? [01:32:32] Speaker G: That is true. I do mean Yuri's budget. [01:32:35] Speaker A: I should stop the lobbing at my cousin. But it is kind of funny. [01:32:38] Speaker G: What is our Yuri budget, actually. [01:32:41] Speaker A: How much money is in there? [01:32:42] Speaker C: Yuri 19 gold. [01:32:44] Speaker E: Yeah, it started at 20 gold. [01:32:49] Speaker B: Lorelai is like, I know some people. I got you your. You got your outfits. I can get you mask masquerade where it's just true. [01:32:59] Speaker G: I guess because masquerades have Masks. It'll probably be better than not having masks. [01:33:04] Speaker C: But I mean, I fully intend to dress like a waiter. So I mean, if you want. If you want to like double up with me on waiter. Okay, well, then I guess I'm dressed like a bodyguard then. [01:33:18] Speaker D: No, you can look pretty with us. The only good thing that is happening here is that we at least get to look pretty for a few hours. [01:33:27] Speaker C: You feel grave wing squinting at you. [01:33:31] Speaker B: Lorelei is like behind grave wing. It's just like double. [01:33:37] Speaker D: And besides, you have been so helpful to me and you are so kind about the birds. Like the least I can do is help you find something new. Love you. [01:33:48] Speaker C: What the is happening? [01:33:50] Speaker G: I think the rich people are forcing us into a dressing simulator. [01:33:55] Speaker D: It's not a simulator. It is a fun time. I have not done this since I was young. [01:34:03] Speaker C: You know, maybe I don't miss my brother in law that much. [01:34:06] Speaker D: Unfortunately for you, I miss my cousin very much. [01:34:09] Speaker A: So we're going to do one fun thing. [01:34:15] Speaker G: I don't think this is fun. [01:34:17] Speaker D: You will be wrong. [01:34:19] Speaker C: And then the poor people are dragged. [01:34:23] Speaker A: It's time for a montage. No. [01:34:28] Speaker G: What about Alistair? How's Alistair feeling about the outfit? [01:34:34] Speaker F: I think y' all may want to intervene. [01:34:39] Speaker D: Oh. [01:34:40] Speaker F: Is what I'm thinking. [01:34:41] Speaker E: Oh, it's going to be so eccentric. It's going to be like top half tuxedo, bottom half like robe. It's a tuxedo robe and a sick. [01:34:51] Speaker C: Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. I think. I think if anybody is allowed to dress super eccentric, it should actually be Alistair. Like. Yeah, not just that. The gray great mouse detective who's also a descendant of the great mouse wizard. Yeah, I want, I want this weird outfit really badly. But like also Alistair dresses like the most dapper out of all the pores, so. And. And Yuri the poor is in one rich. Like, please think about that. [01:35:23] Speaker F: Here's the question. Is there an eccentric rap wardrobe in the eccentric rat wizard tower? [01:35:33] Speaker B: There is. [01:35:34] Speaker E: Yes. [01:35:34] Speaker C: Yes. Incredible. That's perfect. [01:35:39] Speaker E: We're gonna give Knox life yet. Sit up in here. [01:35:42] Speaker C: Oh my God. [01:35:43] Speaker D: No. [01:35:43] Speaker C: We're gonna get like old Yharnam looks. Okay. The whole blood church and everything. Oh my goodness. The veil Blood queen fit. [01:35:53] Speaker F: I'm. I'm thinking like the current incarnation. Doctor. [01:36:01] Speaker E: I think. I think a clothing montage is a good way to end this session. Yeah, or we could start the next session with it. Unless Aubrey has more cursed lore for Yuri. [01:36:14] Speaker B: No, no, not currently. Yeah, you know, you're all dragged off to do. Do a shopping montage as you sort of get ready to finish out the week and yeah, take us out. [01:36:36] Speaker G: Thank you everyone for listening to a wonderful episode of Goblets and Gays.
