[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam.
Waking up asleep I've been dreaming Dr. Long I cannot find meaning hold my hand Let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all the these demons around me in this red light because me he's reaching out consuming.
[00:01:32] Speaker B: Hello everybody. Welcome back to Goblets and Gays. I'm Aubrey, your GM and I'll test her to my players, introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get rolling into things.
[00:01:40] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Aki and I play the vigilante Gravewing, who is a Nagaji's self monk and kineticist. We both use she her pronouns.
[00:01:52] Speaker D: Hello, I am Faris, she her and I play Alouette Valer. Also she her a bardic thaumaturge beast kin doing her best while juggling a family curse, falling in love and of course, the end of the world.
[00:02:06] Speaker E: Hello, I'm Dusty. I use they, he pronouns. Name playing Eu.
Formerly Moran.
Still a problem.
Just angrier now. They are blood hunter Nephilim problem.
Just.
Just trying to fix things, even though it's all bad. They also use they, he pronouns.
[00:02:31] Speaker F: Hello, I'm Sparlock and I play Alistair Whiskerfield, the great rat detective, arcane archer and wizard extraordinaire, the revolutionary firebrand, sworn enemy to the Scriabins and scourge of the bourgeoisie and master of Nicodemus Tower. We both use he, him pronouns.
[00:02:53] Speaker G: Hi, I'm Tick. I use he, she, they pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, who uses he, they pronouns. He cooks, he cleans, he eats people, and has an alien parasite living in his spine, slowly consuming him. What more could you ask for?
[00:03:05] Speaker H: Hi, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play Laith Idrisi, the fourth Dampier Dandy rogue, failed matricide with a negative one constitution modifier. Laithe uses she any pronouns.
[00:03:18] Speaker B: So, who wants to tell me what happened last time?
[00:03:21] Speaker G: Arbor gave us new types of anxiety that God couldn't begin to fathom. So we did some nice discussions out. Hey, do we trust these guys? Tm it turns out no, we don't. But we're doing their job because we think they're going to kill everyone.
Incorrectly. The Cult of the Scarlet Witch. They want us to steal something from the cult. From.
[00:03:39] Speaker B: From the school Scarlet Bond cult.
[00:03:42] Speaker G: Okay. I mean, technically, she's not a queen.
[00:03:45] Speaker B: She's a queen, right?
[00:03:46] Speaker G: Why am I thinking of the. I'm thinking of the. The.
[00:03:50] Speaker C: The.
[00:03:50] Speaker G: What's the woman. The woman from the the movie woman. Yes. I'm sorry. Wow, it's been a day.
[00:03:56] Speaker C: Literally. You're not wrong, though. Like, that bitch has done something very similar to this. You're not wrong, though.
[00:04:01] Speaker G: So, okay, so the Cult of the Scarlet Bond wants us to steal something from Ravenswood Academy. Parentheses, A crown. However, we want them to not get the crown, but also we don't want them to go into a. Like a school and start stealing things with force, because knowing them, they do not mind killing. And we do not want students to be killed, which is bad. We don't like. We don't like killing students. So we agreed, yeah, we'll steal the crown for you or whatever. In exchange, can you do a jailbreak? I mean, honestly, if you want to commit violence against cops, it's whatever. So we sent them off to do the jailbreak for us, because that way we don't have to deal with it.
And we're currently looking into busting into Ravenswood Academy and being like, hey, so about that crown. Maybe we can use some connections to make a fake one. So we can just trick Scarlet Bond. Because then they get all the pieces of the puzzle. Like, wait, we've been fucking bamboozled? But, like, that's a maybe.
And also, we went over to.
I know his name's not Akos Akkos. Thank God. I almost said a staring, because my friend's been snipping for him in my DMs for the past 5 days.
Akos is like, yeah, there might be some info and maps in my. In my house. And also, please ignore the. The weird worm in the corner. And Leith was like, I want to open the jarred of the worm and proceed to almost get, like, several people alien face huggered. Some people did get alien face huggered. We don't know what's happened yet. Actually, I'm kind of a little bit worried for some people, and I'm not naming names you have to watch to see who got facehuggered and who didn't.
But yeah, that is a general summary of what happened last time. Things sure did happen, and I'm really scared for the safety of several of our party members at this point.
[00:05:31] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, you have a jar full of booze and trauma now.
[00:05:42] Speaker F: Oh, yeah, that was the face hugger.
[00:05:46] Speaker G: Did we.
[00:05:48] Speaker D: I don't know if I put things at the end of my notes because they happened after that or if it was because, I don't know, I had to add it in really fast before I forgot it kind of thing, because I have Both the lathe talking to Nadia, and then also Lou dropping by her family's house. Did that happen after the jar? Have we already technically left the jar and we forgot because it's been a few weeks?
[00:06:14] Speaker B: I could have sworn the jar was the last thing we did.
[00:06:16] Speaker C: I'm pretty damn sure the jar was the last thing we did. But to be fair, the jar did traumatize me the most because I think.
I bet I'm gonna be so real.
[00:06:30] Speaker G: I don't.
[00:06:30] Speaker B: You might have, like, done some things to end the episode with that, but.
[00:06:34] Speaker D: Yeah, the reason we went was for the.
For the.
The investigating the house. And then I remember being like, oh, I want it. While we were in the same district, I wanted to drop by the family's house, which I think. I think that really did happen afterwards. I don't know if the Nadia talk for sure happened afterwards, but.
[00:06:52] Speaker C: See, I remember the Nadia talk, but I don't think it happened after the. It didn't after face huggers.
[00:07:02] Speaker D: I think that one I might have put just at the end real fast because there wasn't, like, a good spot to squeeze it in earlier in my notes. I don't know, just the way I was taking them, but I do. I do think we left the house, but I'm not sure. I'm not sure.
[00:07:15] Speaker B: You hadn't gotten back to Wollstonecraft Manor yet.
You had left Akos's apartment. And, yeah, if you went by the thing, you definitely would have seen that there's still Verta Guards, Artsad.
[00:07:29] Speaker D: Yeah, but I rolled badly. And so we said I was too distracted by emotions to see anything more specific.
[00:07:35] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:07:36] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:07:38] Speaker B: I guess the question is, are you headed back to Wiston Craft Manor?
Yeah, I believe that was the plan.
Yeah.
[00:07:48] Speaker E: Cross.
[00:07:48] Speaker B: You're crossing the bridge again, so deduct us. Deduct the silver.
[00:07:53] Speaker C: I forgot to pay last time. I. I better do it again. This.
I wish.
I wish somebody could do the math for us.
How. How much money we spent so far on the. On tolls? Because we've got crossed, like, several times in one episode too. So it's like. I want to know now. I'm very curious.
[00:08:22] Speaker D: I have that information, but it's not.
I haven't done the math on it. I just have the information.
[00:08:28] Speaker E: Hey, Proxy, you love math. Yu Gi. Oh, help.
[00:08:32] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:08:32] Speaker D: Oh. Oh, yeah.
[00:08:36] Speaker C: Oh, God. But, yeah, I'd love to know, especially, like, when we end up finishing, like, in general, because I. I think it would be hilarious to be like, you guys are spent this much money crossing A bridge? That'd be crazy. That'd be crazy.
[00:08:52] Speaker D: I am sure it's already an absurd amount. We have had to across the bridge more than 10 times.
[00:08:58] Speaker C: We, we absolutely have. We also have to consider that we are a party of six, minimum. Like, you know, like we. And we've done it multiple times in the same day, too. It's like
[00:09:10] Speaker D: there was a while where only Yuri was covering the toll charges.
[00:09:15] Speaker C: That doesn't matter because that's still being charged. Right. I just want to know, like, at the end, how, like as a whole, as a group, how much money have we spent crossing the bridge like that? I just want to know.
[00:09:28] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah.
[00:09:29] Speaker C: End of campaign for I, I, I want a number.
[00:09:32] Speaker D: Like, maybe I'll do the math for you one day. Because I write down every time we paid that toll, I write it down in my little, my notes under inventory changes, and I mark who pays it for the most part.
[00:09:44] Speaker C: That's amazing.
[00:09:45] Speaker D: So I could probably get you a pretty accurate number by the end of this if I am so inclined to count.
[00:09:52] Speaker G: So.
[00:09:52] Speaker B: Yeah, definitely. The thing you, you notice when you're entering starlight passion is even just a few weeks on from the district opening back up how much more alive it is. You notice active construction projects of people either have complete or working on just taking down homes that are no longer sturdy, putting up new ones.
Anybody who might even have anything
[00:10:18] Speaker D: like
[00:10:18] Speaker B: the Shark Spin, the, the, the, the tavern is open again, kind of.
They're very limited on their food, but they have plenty of drink.
And you make it back to the Wollstonecraft manor and.
Yeah,
[00:10:37] Speaker C: I didn't, I didn't speak the whole walk back.
[00:10:42] Speaker E: Want to imagine that Vittorio has been asking questions to Nile and Yuri this whole time about that's happened, and we barely know any of it?
Yeah, I, Yeah, you mean there was a whole flower called a sunflower that's like calling like a moon plant or something? What do you mean?
[00:11:08] Speaker G: So is it true? I've heard rumors that the sun is very powerful and if you stare at it, it'll hurt your eyes. Is that actually true?
[00:11:17] Speaker B: Yes, it is. It is true.
[00:11:20] Speaker E: That doesn't happen with the moon.
[00:11:23] Speaker B: It's not as bright.
[00:11:25] Speaker E: It's not bright.
[00:11:28] Speaker B: Not as bright.
[00:11:30] Speaker G: So did you guys just spend your whole time not looking in the sky when the sun is out because it'll hurt your eyes?
[00:11:36] Speaker B: No, only if you look directly at it. If you look anywhere else in the sky, you're fine, just not directly. The big bowl of flame.
[00:11:43] Speaker G: Flame.
[00:11:45] Speaker D: It's on fire.
[00:11:48] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:11:49] Speaker G: Guess that means it would be really hot then.
[00:11:53] Speaker B: Yes, it usually was.
[00:11:56] Speaker D: Didn't.
[00:11:57] Speaker G: Did people used to get burned when the sun was out?
[00:12:01] Speaker B: Technically.
[00:12:04] Speaker G: Interesting. Interesting. Do you think I could cook with the sun?
[00:12:09] Speaker B: I think if you're in one of the more the desert climates in Knox light you probably could.
Or they had a very powerful magnifying glass or some sort of mechanism.
It wouldn't be easy, but you could.
[00:12:30] Speaker F: I heard rumors that people in like sealed carriages what would would be able to cook in them.
[00:12:39] Speaker E: Oh, good to see you. Alistair.
[00:12:41] Speaker B: Hello.
[00:12:43] Speaker G: Welcome back. I'll get tea for everyone.
The sun sounds scary. I just hear Niall muttering as I go to get the tea set.
[00:12:50] Speaker B: You.
[00:12:52] Speaker E: How are you? All all right?
[00:12:58] Speaker D: Looks at lathe. Looks like grave wings.
[00:13:02] Speaker B: Is. Is everything all right?
[00:13:07] Speaker E: Something happen with the brother?
[00:13:11] Speaker C: No, no.
We went to Aos's apartment.
I'm going to be so real. I don't remember what else we found except for that jar.
Sure.
[00:13:28] Speaker B: Of
[00:13:31] Speaker C: whatever schism is.
And it looked dead.
It was not dead.
[00:13:41] Speaker E: None of you got like.
And you're just going to point towards the direction that Nile walked away from.
[00:13:53] Speaker G: Now walk back in just as you're pointing at them and just like. Let me.
[00:13:57] Speaker B: Yeah. And
[00:14:00] Speaker E: it was just in a.
Why was it in a jar?
[00:14:05] Speaker C: It got real close.
[00:14:09] Speaker D: We are fairly confident. But it was not able to infect.
Like 80% confidence.
75.
[00:14:30] Speaker E: That's.
That number just keeps getting lower. That's.
[00:14:34] Speaker D: I'm not an expert.
[00:14:40] Speaker C: I think I gotta stay somewhere real cold for a little while.
[00:14:44] Speaker D: No, you hate the cold.
[00:14:47] Speaker C: Yeah, but if it's in me and it's gonna make me do things.
My body doesn't function. When I get too cold, I just sleep.
[00:14:55] Speaker D: I mean maybe schism can tell and I was gonna ask instead of just staring into your eyes and hoping for the best.
They are lovely. But I don't.
I have only done that twice and I don't know confidently how accurate it is.
[00:15:15] Speaker G: I can have him check, but. Pardon the blunt list, but can't we blast you with holy magic to see how much it'll deal with? If it's just happened, it's probably weak at best. And a good couple doses of holy magic will definitely get it out quicker than if we. Wait.
[00:15:31] Speaker D: Do you have something tap
[00:15:35] Speaker E: going to look at Vittorio and you?
[00:15:39] Speaker B: My magic is not holy. But I can certainly see if there's anything changed about your aura or any magics around you that might be able to tell anything.
[00:15:53] Speaker C: Well, I would appreciate that.
Look, whatever the fuck it was, it was Very hungry. It was ripping at my face. It was trying to get in my mouth, my nose, my ears, everything.
Half of my face is sealed shut. It tried to rip it open. I felt it.
So whatever the this is, it wasn't a pleasant experience.
And if it is in me, you gotta put me somewhere cold.
[00:16:29] Speaker D: What does kism.
What can Schism does?
[00:16:35] Speaker G: I don't know what Schism could looks at Schism.
[00:16:38] Speaker B: Okay, so you. You.
I just wanted to make sure that this is because you. You immediately deflected to Victorio rather than have Schism do it. So I wanted to make sure your schism was still gonna do it.
[00:16:49] Speaker G: Yes.
[00:16:50] Speaker C: Can't they both do it?
[00:16:55] Speaker G: Move on to the next, you know, schism? Dear, could you please do the best of your ability to check for any unwelcome visitors within grave Wing?
[00:17:05] Speaker B: Can you give me a occultism check
[00:17:10] Speaker G: that is a 24, which is not an AT1?
[00:17:13] Speaker E: That's better.
[00:17:15] Speaker B: You're relatively sure you don't sense Schism? Doesn't sense anything.
But yet again, this isn't exactly one to one,
[00:17:30] Speaker G: so I'm not detecting any worms, but I am not a worm wizard, dare I say so. Perhaps getting a second opinion would be a good idea.
Well, I am a worm wizard, but, like, not in that way.
[00:17:45] Speaker F: Yeah, you're more of a warm lock.
[00:17:48] Speaker E: Oh, y' all are saying a lot of stuff.
[00:17:52] Speaker G: Technically, I'm a worm sorer.
[00:17:54] Speaker E: Victoria,
[00:17:57] Speaker B: this will walk up to you graveling, and say, for this spell, I do have to touch you. Is that okay?
[00:18:08] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:18:11] Speaker B: So gently, he will sort of take his hands, put them on both sides of your face, and he closes his eyes, and you hear him saying these sort of magical words under his breath.
So it's a 19 on the dice for 38.
And after a moment, he opens his eyes and looks at you, hands still inside your face, and says, you are clean. I don't sense any corruption or anything else in your system.
Very healthy, too.
[00:18:57] Speaker C: Brave Wing will deflate a little bit, but not like in a bad way. More like, this is relief.
And then he says, I'm healthy. I'm like, oh, thanks.
[00:19:11] Speaker B: Kind of suddenly realizes he has both his hands on the sides of your face, kind of pulls them back a little bit and goes, you're welcome
[00:19:21] Speaker G: either
[00:19:22] Speaker C: way, if that happens again, if I'm compromised, that's what you gotta do with me. Gotta put me somewhere cold.
[00:19:35] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:19:36] Speaker C: Older I am, harder it is for me to move.
And the last thing we want is one of those things.
My brother told me that it that. That he could bend whatever it is, its element.
And I don't think you want that with me.
[00:20:02] Speaker E: All right,
[00:20:05] Speaker D: last time, check lathe as well. I know out of character. Laythe wasn't actually, like, close enough to be threatened, but, like, was in the initial, like, oh, it escaped and it's coming for me. Did we, in character, like, check them?
[00:20:23] Speaker G: We did.
Okay.
[00:20:25] Speaker D: I couldn't remember.
[00:20:27] Speaker B: Also, did you bring it with you or did you leave it in his apartment?
[00:20:31] Speaker C: I believe we put it in.
Yeah. I was like, we put it in the bag. Right? So.
[00:20:37] Speaker B: Yeah, your smuggler's bag of holding.
[00:20:40] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, it's in there.
Just in case anyone tries to steal from our bag, they're gonna get a nasty surprise.
[00:20:48] Speaker E: That's how I create a villain.
[00:20:53] Speaker B: But it's really someone's order, like, villain origin story, Niall.
[00:20:57] Speaker E: Technically,
[00:21:00] Speaker C: it reminds me of the spot anyways,
[00:21:07] Speaker E: so I'm glad that everyone is not schismed.
No offense, schism, but no one else is as polite as you are. I guess you at least ask before you eat bodies, right?
[00:21:27] Speaker G: Anyways, our next order of business.
[00:21:29] Speaker E: Sorry, mother. Okay, so did you.
Sorry. Out of character. Why did everyone go again?
[00:21:40] Speaker D: Oh, we were investigating.
Oh, go ahead.
[00:21:43] Speaker H: Oh, I just can say we thought. Akos told us that they had a list of everyone in the unbroken, so we were going to go get that.
[00:21:51] Speaker C: We also found his notes on the study of the schism creatures, which is probably why he had one in a jar. So we brought all of that shit with us. We also stole some really nice books that he had because he had a bunch of first edition shit.
And everybody specifically went either to do aquis apartment stuff, literal family stuff, like, it was just. Oh, this group was gonna cross anyway, so let's just go do this too.
[00:22:19] Speaker D: We also found the unenchanted unbroken pendants.
[00:22:23] Speaker C: Yes, yes, yes, we have those ones. So we can.
[00:22:26] Speaker D: And the roster is still in code, but we have it.
[00:22:31] Speaker E: Okay. Yeah, I think Yuri just goes. So did you all get good information at all besides.
[00:22:41] Speaker D: Yes, I think so.
We have to go through it in more detail, but I think that we found some useful things.
[00:22:51] Speaker E: Okay, well, that's good.
That's progress.
Is there anything that we could help with or anything that needed be done today?
Do you all need to rest after almost?
Yuri's going to make, like, fang motions, I guess, but that doesn't. They don't even know that's accurate.
[00:23:20] Speaker C: I need a bath.
I feel really gross.
Also, we brought it in the bag,
[00:23:32] Speaker E: so it's here with that the thing that attacked you all is here.
[00:23:38] Speaker C: It's. It's back in the bottle.
It's in the bag.
[00:23:43] Speaker D: Strictly speaking, it is in a different dimension.
[00:23:48] Speaker C: I'm not sure how to feel better. I'm not sure how to even just. Yeah. Look, I don't know how to dispose of this, but, like, the.
I would hate to come back to that apartment. And it's gone. From the jar.
[00:24:01] Speaker G: I just put my hand in my mouth. Schism. I'm sorry, but how do we destroy this thing?
Do we just nuke it with holy magic?
[00:24:09] Speaker B: Do you hear Schism go? Yeah, yeah. Holy magic or fire fireworks, too.
[00:24:15] Speaker G: Okay, are you sure you don't want to eat it to gain more power? Is that a thing you can do?
[00:24:21] Speaker B: No, it is not a thing I can do.
[00:24:23] Speaker G: So the cannibalism only goes one way. Okay, that's rare.
[00:24:29] Speaker D: That's just insult.
[00:24:31] Speaker F: To be fair. Schism's not the cannibal. You are.
[00:24:35] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:24:36] Speaker G: Oh, so I see how it is.
I see how it is. I have to commit the cannibalism. But when we have the chance to commit you, kitten. I'm kidding. No, I was just around.
I don't think I have a single fire spell, which actually makes sense.
[00:24:52] Speaker E: It's okay. Well, I mean, I could help with fire,
[00:25:00] Speaker G: I think.
Aubrey, really stupid question. If we take it in the jar, the jar is pretty durable, right?
Should we just cook it? Can we just boil it in a pot of water?
I mean,
[00:25:17] Speaker B: theoretically, you want a hot
[00:25:18] Speaker G: ooze, like, if we put it. If we keep it. I don't want to open the jar to kill it. I'm like. Well, cooking it over a fire is probably the best way to, like, boil it to death, right?
[00:25:29] Speaker E: That has to be burned. That's. That's fire. That's heat.
[00:25:34] Speaker G: Okay. Oh, I just don't want to open
[00:25:36] Speaker D: this jar again is my concern.
Open the jar over the fire so it falls into fire.
[00:25:44] Speaker G: It's.
[00:25:45] Speaker C: It's. It's a sentient ooze. It's like a octopus, I think, where it's, like, it'll go, but its tentacles will just flow back out. And it doesn't actually have, like, a.
[00:25:53] Speaker D: Gravity won't affect it. Huh.
[00:25:55] Speaker C: Yeah, we gotta. We gotta, like, literally, like, we gotta, like.
We gotta, like, blow up a box, you know? Like, we gotta. We gotta do, like, a barrel fire, like, type of scenario and put the jar
[00:26:08] Speaker D: on fire.
[00:26:09] Speaker C: Yeah. And, like, maybe put a lid on that even. But I don't even know how you can do that, but, like, you know what I mean? Like it's gonna explode in there. But the idea is that it's roasted. You know which bag is what I think it is?
The satchel bag. A holding type of thingy. The smuggler's bag.
[00:26:25] Speaker E: Yuri's gonna see the bag at least. I'm just gonna put it on the table and I'll watch it while you all need to do what you need to do.
Don't want to let this leave eyesight, I guess.
[00:26:38] Speaker D: Feels safer in another dimension than on the table.
[00:26:42] Speaker E: Oh, no, no. The bag. The whole bag.
[00:26:45] Speaker C: Oh.
[00:26:46] Speaker E: I just don't want the bag to lose sight.
I don't want it to accidentally move and it falls out. I don't know if it could do that. I don't know how that magic works.
[00:26:56] Speaker B: Got to keep watching it in case it despawns,
[00:27:01] Speaker D: it returns to the apartment. Because we got too far away from the quest point.
[00:27:06] Speaker E: We should just keep the bag itself in view of everyone. Or at least so at least someone's seeing it.
[00:27:16] Speaker C: I'm gonna go lie in some water. And I get up and go to where the bathrooms are.
So I can do exactly that.
Soak for like a whole hour.
[00:27:33] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:27:34] Speaker B: Other things.
We've got all of this information. The decoding is going to take a while. You can give it to somebody else to work through. You can maybe strike a deal with Akkas to have Akos translate it.
[00:27:49] Speaker H: Absolutely not.
[00:27:51] Speaker B: I just thought I'd offer.
[00:27:52] Speaker D: Absolutely terrible idea.
[00:27:55] Speaker E: No.
[00:27:57] Speaker C: Aubrey and her fucking pro cultist bloodline. Get out of here.
[00:28:05] Speaker E: Where is Juni?
[00:28:07] Speaker D: Wait.
Judy has done so much decoding. The girl needs a break.
[00:28:13] Speaker E: Someone could take her to the bar.
Someone could take her to the bar for a break.
[00:28:18] Speaker C: I'm just saying it is operational for a break.
[00:28:26] Speaker D: Listen, we still gotta do book club.
Book club first. And then maybe kiss us.
[00:28:31] Speaker E: Is that what they're calling her name?
[00:28:35] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:28:35] Speaker D: We gotta get Juniper and Rook together first. And then we can expand.
[00:28:40] Speaker B: We gotta have a new euphemism for it. In Campaign two, we had Birdwatch again. The first Book club. You know,
[00:28:48] Speaker E: Leith and Lou are both in book club. I'm just saying.
[00:28:50] Speaker D: Both graveling and Lorelei.
[00:28:54] Speaker C: Holy shit. You're right.
[00:28:55] Speaker D: This is crazy.
[00:28:56] Speaker G: This is crazy.
[00:28:57] Speaker C: Actually, I do.
[00:28:59] Speaker E: With who?
[00:29:00] Speaker D: You know what?
[00:29:00] Speaker C: That makes it better on my own.
[00:29:06] Speaker E: That's very valid.
[00:29:08] Speaker C: Technically. Technically, Lou is still in book club. So this like. This potential, like the arranged marriage. The true arranged marriage plot line that we should have went with staring us in the face every fucking day since. I just want to say that.
The little mouse that could.
[00:29:34] Speaker D: There's still time.
[00:29:37] Speaker B: There is still time. So the other thing is, you all were working on a plan to deal with everything going on in Ravenswood.
[00:29:47] Speaker D: Mm.
[00:29:49] Speaker B: What is that plan?
[00:29:51] Speaker D: We were gonna go talk to Yuri Zachary and warn them and then do the break in.
[00:30:01] Speaker E: I mean, isn't. Yeah, Yuri.
Yuri makes a fool of themselves again. And then Alistair joins along as a rat and goes. Tells people that need help.
Right.
[00:30:12] Speaker D: Yeah. So we're gonna warn the. Warn the Ravenswood via your ex, because they're like the battle master or something like that. Then we were gonna do the break in, but sabotage it by doing it personally.
[00:30:22] Speaker B: Right.
[00:30:22] Speaker E: Yeah. Let me pull up the X chart.
[00:30:24] Speaker D: Possibly by warning them, they could create like a copy or something or we can drop it on the way out and be like, oops, it broke our bed.
There was a lot of butter.
[00:30:41] Speaker B: Okay. Okay. Yeah.
[00:30:43] Speaker D: Well, is that the same plan that everyone else remembers?
[00:30:47] Speaker C: That is?
[00:30:48] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:30:48] Speaker E: Okay, cool.
[00:30:49] Speaker G: Yes.
[00:30:51] Speaker D: And then in exchange, we were making them do the prison break for us.
[00:30:57] Speaker B: Or I thought you were making them be distractions for you.
[00:31:01] Speaker D: I thought we were making them do it so that we weren't associated with the prison break.
[00:31:07] Speaker C: I remember them doing it so that we are not associated as well.
[00:31:12] Speaker G: Yeah. I explicitly remember us saying, yeah, we don't mind if they use acts of violence in a jail because, like, we got beef with the people who walked us in there.
[00:31:21] Speaker C: Well, yeah, but Yuriyido is the only one that is actually going, I believe.
[00:31:25] Speaker H: Yeah.
[00:31:27] Speaker B: Because I was like, somebody is gonna go because they don't know what. They just. They don't know who they're looking for. Yeah, that's the thing.
[00:31:34] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:31:35] Speaker B: Descriptions.
[00:31:36] Speaker C: Like, if anything they do that. They do the actual jailbreaking. We just grab everybody and have an escape route.
[00:31:44] Speaker B: That's what I think was the plan that I was thinking of. Yeah.
[00:31:47] Speaker E: And we just do it in disguises so it's not as anathema either.
So no masks. And like, Yuri can't be Yuri regardless, because he'll mask or not.
[00:32:00] Speaker B: Well, you all settle in.
Tomorrow you'll go and have the discussion with the people at Ravenswood.
And. Yeah, so graping after, you relax and take the shower or take the bath, take the long soak afterwards, you know, just enjoying the evening.
Where might you hang out or just relax.
[00:32:38] Speaker C: I.
So I would have soaked.
I would have paste around the.
The manor a little bit, especially while blow. Drying my hair with myself because, you know, wind. I might have even send Lorelei.
Excuse me. A message just saying that I need to fill her in on some things, today's events, when she has the time, when she gets back or whatever.
Nothing like I wouldn't mention that it being urgent or anything like that, but it's like this is a need to know basis and she needs to know.
And then I would have found like somewhere, somewhere comfortable to kind of low key pray.
Now I've. I've done some prayers for this, the star mother, and this is not for her because I have a special corner that I go to, a coffin walk for her.
This one will is like the closest I could do for the worm.
And I'm doing it like a way that I was taught where I have a little plate of, of some food.
I make sure I'm by the elements. Like I, maybe I cracked a window open and I have like a fire or a candle going. I have a cup of water. I went outside to grab a rock or some earth or some sticks, you know, just. I'm trying to keep this as like, as much as I remember my mother doing.
And I am like in my prayers I ask the elements, you know, for, for protection. I ask fire for warmth for my family. I ask the waters to always be clean.
I ask the earth for strength in my legs, strength in my tail metal for just honest to God, general protection and well being, wood for health. And lastly I, I ask the winds to guide my fist to the willing faces that need it the most.
[00:35:16] Speaker B: And when you finish up, you sort of turn around and you sort of see Vittorio sort of walking towards you. Can you give me a perception check?
[00:35:32] Speaker G: One second?
[00:35:38] Speaker C: 29.
[00:35:39] Speaker B: 29.
You can tell when someone is nervous. You've been around enough.
And you even notice that along the, like the hairline, you see these sort of sprouting of small blue feathers.
[00:36:02] Speaker C: You see my mouth contort to like a side frown.
I'll be like, what's wrong with you?
[00:36:16] Speaker B: It's clear. Thing goes, I wanted to check up on you after everything. I know that what happened was very stressful and I understand what it is like to be in a situation where you could lose control of yourself like that. And I wanted to see how you were doing.
[00:36:40] Speaker C: Well, I'd be lying if I said I was fine, but I'm certainly better.
[00:36:46] Speaker B: That's, that's understandable.
[00:36:49] Speaker C: Okay, well, a gesture to the feathers me like you're not going to kind
[00:36:58] Speaker B: of reaches up and
[00:37:01] Speaker G: look.
[00:37:01] Speaker C: I don't mind them. I'm. I'm just mean, like I want to know, like, do I have to get out of the way or.
[00:37:08] Speaker B: No, they had little bits like this happen when I'm very stressed sometimes.
[00:37:14] Speaker C: Stressed out. Yeah. Yes, it happens to Lou.
[00:37:21] Speaker B: This is a bit of a family trait, I suppose.
[00:37:26] Speaker C: Do you think Yuri molts deers do that?
[00:37:32] Speaker B: I would have to ask them.
[00:37:35] Speaker C: I know that like horns can like fall off too. That'd be kind of.
It's winter. Oh, that might happen.
[00:37:42] Speaker B: Velvet, the horn. Velvet. Yes. That's what I mean.
So.
I'm glad you're okay.
[00:37:55] Speaker C: Thanks, I guess. I mean for worrying, for checking.
I'm not.
I am not magical. I think I've said this many times. It's not my.
Not my thing. I believe in it, obviously, but it's not my
[00:38:12] Speaker B: specialty. Certainly magical in a different way.
[00:38:17] Speaker C: Huh.
Huh. Okay.
[00:38:22] Speaker B: Sorry.
[00:38:25] Speaker C: It's fine.
You seem jumpy.
[00:38:30] Speaker B: Yes, lots of things are happening and I'm realizing how bad I am at socializing after having been locked away for 75 years.
[00:38:45] Speaker C: I was gonna say you kind of
[00:38:47] Speaker B: have an excuse, but yes, it would be.
If this was before everything, I would know exactly what to do. I would approach you and I probably should have brought flowers.
[00:39:08] Speaker C: Irving puts both hands. Both hands on her hips and is fully bending her. Her like neck. Like. What the is happening
[00:39:20] Speaker B: to.
To tell someone you wanted to court them?
Back when I was. The flowers were generally a very good start.
You are.
[00:39:36] Speaker C: I look around. I look around like I'm like. Like I'm about to get punked. Like.
[00:39:41] Speaker G: What do you mean by courting?
[00:39:47] Speaker D: Do I.
[00:39:47] Speaker C: Do I look courtable?
[00:39:49] Speaker B: Incredibly.
[00:39:56] Speaker D: Are you joking?
[00:39:58] Speaker B: I'm not joking. I'm actually very serious.
[00:40:01] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:40:03] Speaker B: You are incredibly incredible.
[00:40:11] Speaker C: Thank you.
Twice today I've been caught off guard. I just want to point that out twice.
[00:40:20] Speaker B: And I would remember the flowers next time
[00:40:25] Speaker G: that. Okay, wait.
[00:40:27] Speaker C: Okay, wait.
So.
Okay, so
[00:40:39] Speaker G: do you.
[00:40:40] Speaker C: Are you just saying you want to or are you saying that like you would like more? Okay. Cuz I'm having a very rough time and a lot has happened today.
[00:40:51] Speaker B: I would like to know you better. More in a romantic way possibly, if you're into it.
[00:41:00] Speaker G: Okay.
[00:41:01] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:41:01] Speaker G: Okay.
[00:41:02] Speaker C: That makes. Okay, this is a lot more sense. I've never had this happen before. All right.
Flattered.
I.
I'm not. I'm not sure what.
Where. What I'm supposed. I've. This is. Okay, this has not happened before. Usually I'm a white knight. I'm a one night and then the one night becomes several nights. So this is new. This is a very new experience.
[00:41:39] Speaker B: I understand.
I'm doing it completely the wrong way. As I said, flowers.
[00:41:47] Speaker C: I don't even know what the right way is, so. Okay.
[00:41:52] Speaker B: I mean, the way I had been taught before, it's.
This is.
[00:41:59] Speaker C: I.
I. Okay, thank. Thank you for telling me your feelings. I. I guess I appreciate that. Again, I'm flattered. I sound not flattered, but I am. I'm just. I just. I'm not. I don't know.
You were taught this. I was not taught any of this. Okay. I'm. I'm just kind of just putting it out there.
[00:42:27] Speaker B: Of course.
And I don't want to make anything awkward, so.
[00:42:34] Speaker C: I mean, it's kind of awkward now because I'm. I'm not.
I'm not. I'm not sure the laughter is real.
It is in character. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not sure what's supposed to happen at all next.
So why don't.
Why don't you do it your way? And then I'll. I'll be like, wow, okay, this is happening.
I. I can't just. Don't write me anything. I can't read.
[00:43:07] Speaker B: Not it. Noted.
Well, sometime next week when you are not as pity, I will take you to dinner.
[00:43:21] Speaker G: Okay.
[00:43:23] Speaker B: I'll.
[00:43:26] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:43:29] Speaker B: Great. Great.
And I will remember the flowers this time.
[00:43:36] Speaker C: Does he go or should I go like
[00:43:41] Speaker B: he. He will. He will, you know, give you a bow and turn around and leave.
[00:43:51] Speaker C: I open the window some more.
I'm sweating. This is. I've never sweat in the middle of winter before unless I was like, working out.
And I go, and I like. I like. I like, shove my whole head out the window like a dog in a car. And I just. And I just kind of like anything.
[00:44:10] Speaker B: Have anyone have anything else they want to do that night before we roll it?
[00:44:15] Speaker H: Yes.
[00:44:16] Speaker G: This isn't like a role played out thing, but graveling went through a stressful event. Niall doesn't know how to talk to people sometimes, so graveling's just gonna get back to the room. It was gonna be like a nice cup of tea with a nice treatable cookies that I know that Niall know that she likes. Just. Just a. You know who left this because they're the only one that cooks. And this is like the equivalent of a thumbs up.
That is all.
[00:44:38] Speaker H: Yeah.
[00:44:38] Speaker G: Thanks. Dust.
[00:44:42] Speaker F: Can I hear that stress eating sound one more time?
[00:45:00] Speaker G: Do a mouthful of biscuit.
Thank you.
[00:45:13] Speaker D: We also don't have to roleplay it necessarily, but Lou's just gonna go, like, check in on Laythe and make sure that she's good after opening the Jar of death. The death jar.
The parasite. Death jar.
[00:45:29] Speaker H: She is so fine.
[00:45:31] Speaker D: Don't even worry about it. I'm actually quite concerned.
Can I roll a perception check?
I don't trust her like that.
I know she's a liar. I love her anyway.
Oh, oh, oh. Hold on.
I dropped it.
Wow. Dice, come on. What are you doing with me?
It's way too early to use a hero point. I'm gonna commit to this terrible role.
That is a 22.
[00:46:09] Speaker H: Ah, that is almost a crit. Fail my deception. DC is 31.
[00:46:17] Speaker D: Wowzer.
Well, you look great.
I guess you're not lying to me.
[00:46:33] Speaker H: She would never.
[00:46:37] Speaker D: Yeah, because this is a relationship of very honest people.
[00:46:41] Speaker H: Exactly.
[00:46:45] Speaker B: There's been zero lies in this relationship.
[00:46:49] Speaker D: Never even once since five minutes ago. Not even a fake kiss between them. This is such an honest and open relationship. They have great communication skills. Lou is just gonna hang out with you all night.
[00:47:02] Speaker G: I don't need to role play this, but I want to poison Leite's tea. I'm kidding, I'm kidding.
[00:47:07] Speaker H: Try.
[00:47:08] Speaker G: I'm joking.
[00:47:09] Speaker D: Niall doesn't poison like a 38 to avoid poisons too. Wait, no. Is that a con save? Nevermind. She's kind of.
[00:47:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Well, if there's nothing else, the day will roll into the next and we'll start it off with the group heading towards Ravenswood.
[00:47:31] Speaker E: Pocket Mouse. Pocket Mouse.
So on the way there, you're is just telling like so truthfully, everyone. You all don't need to like be there while.
You should all just go into the school while I talk to them.
[00:47:51] Speaker C: Wait, who all is going?
Is this everybody going? Or is this just like Yuri and Alistair by default for Pocket Mouse.
[00:47:59] Speaker D: This isn't like the actual heist yet, right? It's just the warning that we're gonna heist them.
[00:48:06] Speaker B: Possibly scoping out.
[00:48:08] Speaker D: Okay, then I don't think we have to send anyone else. Unless someone else really wants to go.
[00:48:14] Speaker H: I want to go.
[00:48:15] Speaker D: You want a disguise, babe?
Yeah, you got it.
[00:48:23] Speaker H: Wraith dresses up as Zazzle or whatever
[00:48:27] Speaker C: the poet X was.
[00:48:28] Speaker E: No, no, no, no, no. You're not getting away with that. Absolutely. The fuck not.
[00:48:35] Speaker D: Too late.
[00:48:36] Speaker C: Remember the from the Yuri X club?
Oh my God, yeah, I do. That's not until Wednesday, bro.
[00:48:45] Speaker D: That is specifically the disguise that Luke gives you.
[00:48:47] Speaker B: Yeah,
[00:48:51] Speaker E: why?
[00:48:52] Speaker B: There's a bit of a jump scare for Yuri as not Leith comes down the stairs.
[00:48:59] Speaker H: They're a poet. They have a reason to be at the university.
[00:49:03] Speaker E: That's not funny.
I'm just saying it's not I think it's quite funny.
[00:49:09] Speaker H: And so did Alouette.
[00:49:12] Speaker E: Okay, but you don't need to. You should just go with Alistair to figure stuff out, because then they won't believe it's actually in good faith if you're there. Cuz
[00:49:29] Speaker B: also, Na', El, I do remind you, you have that person, you know, who's a student at Ravenswood.
[00:49:38] Speaker G: I may be autistic. Yes. I'd like to go, please.
I'm. I'm sorry. I'm not gonna lie, Aubrey. I was looking at your very blue hair and I was like, shit, I'm forgetting something. And your hair is reminding me of it, and I don't remember what the fuck it is. And I kept thinking of the indigo quarry from Slime Ranch. And I was like, that's not it, but it's close.
[00:50:01] Speaker E: Does your. Does your student doctor friend have blue hair? Pronouns.
[00:50:06] Speaker C: I was going to say blue hair pronouns.
[00:50:07] Speaker D: I don't.
[00:50:08] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:50:09] Speaker G: Indigo at least. So I was like, okay, name, Blue adjacent name.
[00:50:15] Speaker E: Blue adjacent name. Some pronouns I understand.
[00:50:18] Speaker G: My brain was like the indigo quarry from Slime Ranchers. Many interesting. I'm like, that's not it. This ain't Slime Rancher.
Yes, I'd like to go. Have to check on Indigo and have to make sure these guys don't, like, I don't know, blow up a school or whatever.
[00:50:31] Speaker C: Grave Wing's not going to go.
She feels very useless in this type of establishment unless you really need her.
No man. No man. But, like, can you imagine? It's just like, when you think of, like, oh, oh, my God, you're going to experience your worst nightmare. And then the, like, the illiterate character, it's reading.
That's all I can think about. Fucking that one critical role episode.
[00:51:01] Speaker D: But yeah, okay, I'm not taxes.
But also, I think she would not be focused on the mission.
She just wants to actually go to the school for once.
[00:51:18] Speaker B: I mean, you come along.
[00:51:19] Speaker E: Just go with Nile. Don't.
[00:51:23] Speaker G: Yeah, we can have a buddy.
[00:51:25] Speaker D: It's true. I went with you to go visit Indigo before.
[00:51:28] Speaker G: Yeah, you did.
[00:51:32] Speaker E: So, I mean, at this point, it doesn't even need to be Yuri Pocket Rat. They could just go in Indigo and Alistair could deny.
[00:51:42] Speaker D: Alistair pocket rat.
[00:51:44] Speaker E: Well, you could still be Pocket Rat, just like someone else's pocket. I think it has lots of pockets.
[00:51:50] Speaker D: Go with them, Alistair.
They're trying to avoid being witnessed. We need a witness to the exit.
[00:51:59] Speaker E: The podcast will witness go with them.
[00:52:03] Speaker F: What is a podcast?
[00:52:08] Speaker E: I don't know. Vittorio Was talking about it when there was still sun.
[00:52:12] Speaker A: Who
[00:52:14] Speaker D: the tyrant went away with podcast.
[00:52:18] Speaker C: So that means the tyrant's the good guy. That means the tyrant's the good guy.
[00:52:24] Speaker D: The tyrant actually saved us.
[00:52:26] Speaker C: I was gonna say the tyrant did the one thing that actually is needed in the modern world. Taking away podcasts from white men. Like. So the tyrant is. Tyrant's a baddie. Tyrant's a girl. Holy.
[00:52:39] Speaker B: Just like Kikube. Girl boss.
[00:52:43] Speaker E: All right, so it's everyone but Grave Wing because. So Graveling could go on their date.
Which date? Who knows?
[00:52:54] Speaker D: Many options.
[00:52:55] Speaker C: Oh, my God. That's what could actually happen. Aubrey. Yeah, he's like, I know I said in a week, but I just happen
[00:53:03] Speaker B: to notice you have free time right now and I have flowers.
[00:53:07] Speaker G: I'm just imagining being like, listen, Vitoro slides a little notepad of Graveling's favorite things hypopathetically. Hypothetically, of course.
[00:53:17] Speaker C: Say that one more time.
I'm sorry. I love you.
You said it two different ways. And I want to see if there's a third.
[00:53:29] Speaker G: I'm running out of hyperpipathetic of bullies.
Thank you.
[00:53:33] Speaker C: Thank you very much. Thank you.
[00:53:35] Speaker G: That's actually. Never mind.
[00:53:40] Speaker D: You're not allergic to hypocrisy?
[00:53:43] Speaker F: No, it's actually when you're less pathetic. Because if you were more pathetic, it would be hyper pathetic.
[00:53:52] Speaker D: That's true. That's a good point.
[00:53:56] Speaker E: Let's not get too cocky now.
[00:53:58] Speaker C: Jesus.
Okay, wait. Just. Just.
I'm not. This better stay in ho.
So double checking.
Everybody except Grave Wing is going to this little.
To the academy, Right?
[00:54:15] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:54:16] Speaker G: I just wanted to double check that.
[00:54:17] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:54:19] Speaker C: I hope you guys walk into this weird dinner that's gonna happen to this date.
[00:54:24] Speaker G: To my understanding, Yuri, Alistair and LA are doing the plot. And I think Nile's kidnapping Alouette to go check out the doctor again.
[00:54:35] Speaker C: That's still plot, bro. That's just more personal.
[00:54:38] Speaker G: Yeah, I mean like the main plot versus side quest. You know what I mean?
[00:54:42] Speaker E: Side mission.
[00:54:43] Speaker C: It's all in the same location, so you got to do it anyways, right? Because when. When are you gonna be back here?
[00:54:47] Speaker G: Exactly.
[00:54:49] Speaker D: Double witnesses for Yuri's.
[00:54:51] Speaker B: We're gonna. We're gonna.
Yuri approaching their ex.
[00:54:58] Speaker G: My favorite part.
[00:54:59] Speaker B: So it's gonna be Yuri not to sell and Pocket rat.
[00:55:07] Speaker E: Why is NASA cell here?
[00:55:10] Speaker H: To bear witness for what
[00:55:14] Speaker G: my new poetry.
[00:55:18] Speaker H: The last book about Yuri did so
[00:55:20] Speaker C: well
[00:55:22] Speaker E: I could eat it here.
Where would I find.
Just so we have it in audio form, we are going to be seeing Tora fell. They. She hobgoblin, former lamplighter. They're now the battle instructor, and I assume still is the battle instructor at Ravenswood.
Definitely, like over a foot taller than Yuri, if not more.
[00:55:54] Speaker B: They. They would have a classroom in the main building.
And it's. Unless you're specifically going in the evening, it would. School would still be going on.
[00:56:05] Speaker E: You probably want to go during the day, so you know the people are here.
Yeah, I think Yuri just going to look at NASA and just. Could you at least, like, distract the students or something?
[00:56:22] Speaker H: Oh, we can get a reading from my latest book.
Bridge is the copy that Lou gave her.
[00:56:31] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah, that works great.
Why don't you go in and let the class know then I could go talk to Torrefell.
[00:56:50] Speaker H: Are there students in the class?
[00:56:55] Speaker B: You actually managed to arrive sort of around the time one of the classes is getting out. So there is.
There are people leaving and people kind of milling about, but there's not a class going on right now.
[00:57:11] Speaker E: I think Yuri would like to kind of just like, walk quickly past the students
[00:57:22] Speaker B: and
[00:57:25] Speaker E: like.
So last time they were here, they did get kicked out of the school.
So it's trying to just like, be like, hey, I'm not here for bad reasons, I promise.
Just kind of go up to Torafel and just. I don't know, they're a battle instructor. Is there like a desk in this big office room?
[00:57:49] Speaker B: I mean, the room is set up in a way where students can, like, it has a. Like an area, like a little pit for students to fight in.
Kind of a desk. There's no chair at it, and it mostly looks to be. This is where the students, like, place equipment essentially when they're done with class. So it gets put away.
[00:58:12] Speaker E: Yeah, I think Yuri goes to the desk thing and knocks on it and just.
Hey, Dorael, it's great to see you.
[00:58:27] Speaker B: And just for our audience, how would you say your breakup went?
[00:58:35] Speaker E: Well, it was going pretty okay, though. They, you know, Yuri has always demonstrated themselves as someone that, you know, they. They were doing hunting and fighting jobs before, and so Torfel brought them in for demonstration. And, you know, some kids started saying some, maybe Yuri knocked someone out.
They were asked to not come back and also get all their stuff from Torvel's house at the same time.
[00:59:13] Speaker B: And it turns around, hands crossed, like, arms crossed, looking down at you. Specifically, they say, I would say side for sore eyes, but that's plainly untrue.
What are you doing here?
[00:59:32] Speaker E: Okay. Hey. No, yeah, no, I understand.
So me and my Friends.
Friends gonna turn around. And that's not actually the cell, but they are.
That they're here as well and trying to kind of gesture for Pocket Rat to leave.
[01:00:10] Speaker B: And can I. Can I get a. Can I get a stealth check from Pocket Rat?
[01:00:15] Speaker F: Absolutely.
As I think it's Normally like a plus 10, but I know my regular stealth check is higher.
And that's the one you use.
31.
[01:00:35] Speaker E: Thank goodness.
[01:00:36] Speaker B: All right.
[01:00:37] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:00:37] Speaker B: You scamper down and you're heading towards the headmaster's office, right?
[01:00:45] Speaker F: Yes.
[01:00:47] Speaker B: All right.
It is a bit far from here, so it is going to take you a bit to get there.
[01:00:53] Speaker F: I mean, have you seen how rats move?
[01:00:56] Speaker B: You are on the ground floor and the Headmaster's office is on the top floor. So you've got quite a bit of building to clear.
[01:01:04] Speaker E: I believe in you.
[01:01:08] Speaker B: So it will take you a bit even moving as fast as rats move and moving back to Yuri.
[01:01:17] Speaker E: So I just wanted to come talk to you. I heard.
So I swear this is genuine and I'm not trying to pull any pranks or be a little or anything of that sort.
There is going to be a chaotic event happening in the future involving me and my friends.
And we are doing this so a dangerous cult doesn't come to the school and causes actual problems.
[01:02:05] Speaker B: When you say chaotic event, what do you mean.
[01:02:15] Speaker E: Out of character? There is a crown that we're trying to get.
Okay.
[01:02:22] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:02:26] Speaker E: So I'm sure you heard of all the very wild things happening right now.
1. So there is a crown here at the school that dangerous people want to
[01:02:45] Speaker B: get and
[01:02:49] Speaker E: we don't want them hurting innocent people and civilians.
So we are getting the crown, but that does not mean that we are doing.
We are trying. We're going to be. We're going to be taking a crown from the headmaster and we are warning them. We just, you know, it may have some chaotic inducing effects or trying to make sure this is because someone worse.
Worse than me. Could you believe it is trying to get the ground?
[01:03:40] Speaker B: So just starting off, I'm going to need a diplomacy check from you.
[01:03:44] Speaker G: Diplomacy?
[01:03:46] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:03:49] Speaker E: Thank God. I'm trying to proposition because if you
[01:03:53] Speaker B: had done like, hey, something horrible is going to happen in a few days. I want you to be aware of it because I've heard about it. That would be deception. But you're like, we're gonna do a bad thing here.
[01:04:02] Speaker E: Look.
No, I was gonna say something. No, we're just gonna roll a dice, actually.
Hey, that's a 19 on the dice. So it is a 30.
[01:04:18] Speaker B: So Theoretically, this whole thing is. Everyone's gonna know about this show.
[01:04:31] Speaker E: Well, hopefully not.
But we, we want to do it. We want to let y' all know what's happening and that yes, it, some may cause stealing a crime, but I
[01:04:52] Speaker B: do,
[01:04:55] Speaker E: I get it.
It's just, it is involving things that unfortunately are much higher than me or even you.
So we just.
I, I, It's a lot unfortunate. I, It's a lot I can't say.
But it. If we don't steal this, people that have no problem with murdering students are going to steal it. And they would do that with no issue whatsoever.
So
[01:05:37] Speaker B: I'm going to ask le. Are you attempting to assist in any way or are you just watching?
[01:05:42] Speaker H: I am watching and waiting for yo to turn to me and ask for help.
If they want help, they will have to ask for it.
[01:05:51] Speaker B: That's what I thought.
[01:05:53] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:05:57] Speaker B: I'm going to need another diplomacy check.
[01:06:04] Speaker G: All right.
[01:06:08] Speaker E: 25.
[01:06:10] Speaker B: They don't seem particularly happy, but they aren't yelling.
[01:06:16] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. I mean, that's a, that's good. That's better than your last time. You already saw them, I think. Just.
Okay, what? One, one second.
Going to look over. Hopefully the cell is not drawing too much of a crowd not to sell. And just like wave over their eyes really wide, like, help by looking normal when they look back at Torfel.
[01:06:49] Speaker H: Yeah. Leith will walk a little more into the room was, I think, sort of standing by the doorway to give them space.
We'll say.
Okay, so Aubrey, you said that the vibe was like, not pleased that Yuri was like, we're gonna steal something but not calling for help.
[01:07:17] Speaker B: Yeah, that was.
It's very just like.
[01:07:25] Speaker H: So I think that Leith will say, we came here as a courtesy and a warning for you and the school.
You know the types of people that Jirida was involved with.
[01:07:45] Speaker E: Yeah, you're one of them. But yeah,
[01:07:50] Speaker H: there's.
If we don't, we are not capable of stopping them from this little heist that they have planned.
And so without our participation, it would be more dangerous for the school.
It's, as Yuri said, simply a courtesy to let you know and to try and clear out.
[01:08:22] Speaker G: Maybe
[01:08:24] Speaker B: if you want to give me a diplomacy check.
[01:08:31] Speaker H: 33.
[01:08:33] Speaker B: 33.
They seem to take you much more seriously than they had Gary.
[01:08:41] Speaker H: Can't imagine why.
[01:08:43] Speaker B: Can't imagine why.
Well, so do you know when it's going to happen? Cuz unfortunately, rough timelines, we can't work with.
[01:09:01] Speaker E: A.
A week's time.
Is that enough time?
[01:09:07] Speaker B: Certainly could be.
[01:09:11] Speaker E: Let's call it that.
So we both know how to prepare for.
[01:09:20] Speaker B: Well then we'll be prepared in a week.
[01:09:26] Speaker E: Great, great, great.
Here he's going to be like, thank you.
And thanks Gorafel.
I'll make sure you see as little me as possible for your courtesy.
Unless you wanted to talk some time. I could apologize more and I mean that very genuinely, but I'm gonna stop talking now.
Great to see you.
[01:09:57] Speaker B: It was something to see you as well.
[01:10:00] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:10:01] Speaker H: Leith does not even try to hide their snickering.
[01:10:07] Speaker E: All right, so. So we're going to.
[01:10:10] Speaker B: So yeah, and I will move over to Lou and a Nile. Going to visit Indigo. You know where.
You know the times. Indigo is free and you know where Indigo lives.
[01:10:25] Speaker C: I know.
[01:10:25] Speaker G: What is she free right now or do we gotta like lawyer?
[01:10:28] Speaker B: Yeah, she sees free right now.
[01:10:31] Speaker G: All right. As always, I have brought cookies. That is just at the point I have to like. I don't have to specify it. Just imagine I always have cookies in my pocket at this. They call me Cookie McGee and I'm going to look over at Lou and just give a little nod.
[01:10:42] Speaker B: Getting all this sugar.
[01:10:45] Speaker G: Okay.
It's called stealing Aubrey get over sugar substitute.
[01:10:51] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:10:51] Speaker G: Really?
[01:10:51] Speaker B: I guess so.
[01:10:52] Speaker G: Listen, I'll figure something out. Can you extract sugar from alcohol? I'm going have to look that up at some point. But anyways, I'm just. I'm Alcohol McGee.
[01:11:01] Speaker C: Cookies.
[01:11:02] Speaker G: Anyways, yeah, I'll head over with Alouette and just be like. Well, you. You know when to go already. There's no.
[01:11:11] Speaker D: Yeah, sure.
What is it that you are that you are wanting to ask?
[01:11:20] Speaker G: Honestly, with all the stuff happening, more or less, I wanted to do a welfare check.
[01:11:25] Speaker D: Oh, okay. Perhaps maybe we could ask her for like a tour of the university and we could be like.
So that we have a better layout the land. Because I think Alistar was focusing on the headmaster's office and it's very small Azarat, so can only cover so much ground. Maybe. And then this way we can do your wellness check and also maybe do some reconnaissance possibly.
[01:11:55] Speaker G: I don't really want to get her involved too far. Especially because she's already putting a leg out for me just seeing me with everything.
[01:12:01] Speaker D: We don't have to tell her why or we should tell her why. So she has a warning that something is going to happen so she is not around for it.
[01:12:09] Speaker G: I would like to warn her. I did also ask her to do something involving the serum that the holy blood was using and perhaps she has some progress on that. Perhaps not I know it's a busy time at school.
[01:12:25] Speaker D: Of course.
Probably. I don't know how the school works.
[01:12:29] Speaker G: Have you not been to school before?
[01:12:32] Speaker D: I was tutored by my older siblings.
We did not have private school money by the time we got to me.
[01:12:41] Speaker G: Okay, so you were.
[01:12:42] Speaker D: Not to mention nobles don't really do.
It's different.
[01:12:47] Speaker B: It's.
[01:12:48] Speaker D: It's a whole thing. It is higher status if you have a tutor.
[01:12:52] Speaker G: I would assume that rich people got sent to fancy academies, but after a certain stage, some.
[01:12:59] Speaker D: Yes, if you are going into something like that. But otherwise it's just having a private tutor for every field of study. But we just had.
Paloma had a tutor. And then Paloma became the tutor actress. But after a while, we stopped getting actual tutors and it was just Paloma passing on everything she learned from her like eight tutors. It was a whole thing.
[01:13:21] Speaker G: That does sound.
[01:13:22] Speaker D: Anyway, I tried to go to university and couldn't get in, so. Oh.
[01:13:26] Speaker B: Ravenswood is a very, very specific.
They only take like 200 new students a year.
And that's from the entire. Entire continent.
[01:13:39] Speaker G: I mean, the continent.
[01:13:41] Speaker D: Damn.
[01:13:42] Speaker B: Yeah. People from all over the continent come here now.
[01:13:45] Speaker G: I'm just really impressed that Alistair brought in Nadia, So.
[01:13:48] Speaker D: Nadia and Alistair both. All right.
[01:13:52] Speaker G: I didn't realize it was that prestigious. I knew two people. I knew multiple people in Ravenswood. That's kind of a.
Interesting.
[01:13:59] Speaker D: Indigo, Alistair and Nadia. We know four Ravenswood attendees, so I don't think we know a single graduate.
[01:14:06] Speaker G: Ravenswood, recent population
[01:14:09] Speaker D: wild. Well, let's be fair.
[01:14:11] Speaker B: It is like a college, so there is like usually like four or five years that people stay there.
[01:14:16] Speaker D: Still.
[01:14:16] Speaker C: Still.
[01:14:18] Speaker D: Do we know any graduates of Ravenswood or. None of them managed to get out.
[01:14:24] Speaker E: No.
[01:14:24] Speaker B: Vittorio. Vittorio was.
[01:14:26] Speaker G: Yeah. He was too old.
[01:14:27] Speaker B: He was. He was too old.
[01:14:28] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:14:29] Speaker G: Ravenswood wasn't out yet. My bad.
Like he would, though. He seemed smart enough that he would be a graduate if it existed at the time.
[01:14:36] Speaker B: You do know the twins, the two senators? They graduated from Ravenswood.
[01:14:44] Speaker D: Wow.
All right, all right.
[01:14:47] Speaker G: Do they have a culinary program at Ravenswood? I'm curious.
[01:14:51] Speaker B: No, they're specifically focused on magic.
[01:14:53] Speaker G: Then I have no interest in this place.
I have enough magic the way it is.
[01:15:01] Speaker B: As you're both approaching Indigo's home, can you give me perception checks?
[01:15:06] Speaker D: Always.
[01:15:07] Speaker G: I love doing perception checks.
[01:15:11] Speaker B: You say that now.
[01:15:12] Speaker G: No. Can you make a perception check to see how sarcastic I was being?
That is a 28, which is really good for my perception.
[01:15:23] Speaker D: 34.
[01:15:26] Speaker G: Okay, thanks.
[01:15:28] Speaker D: I am a master of Perception.
I say that not because I'm good at rolling it, but because I am literally. I was given. I got upgraded.
[01:15:38] Speaker G: I'm like, wow, I got a wonderful role in perception. I'm so perceptive. I says with joy. And then I'm only trained in perception. And it seems. Which is kind of surprising.
[01:15:48] Speaker D: I guess sorcerers, you don't get to perceive things.
[01:15:52] Speaker G: I guess sorcerers are very perceptive.
[01:15:57] Speaker D: You get natural, innate magical talent. What more do you want?
[01:16:00] Speaker G: Well, it's not natural talent. It's schism talent.
[01:16:04] Speaker B: Luckily, this is.
[01:16:05] Speaker D: You didn't have to go to school for it. Okay, sorry.
[01:16:07] Speaker B: It's very hard for you not to. Both of you not to notice as you're approaching.
[01:16:11] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:16:12] Speaker B: There are a lot of corpse moths around here.
[01:16:16] Speaker G: Oh, no,
[01:16:20] Speaker D: around indigos.
[01:16:23] Speaker B: Like the indigos are like a line of townhomes essentially, and sort of like in it, there's. It's kind of like a. Almost like a cul de sac, a little bit circle. And there's like a statue the middle.
And there are a lot of corpse moths all sort of around that statue.
It's like 30.
Remember, these things are cat sized.
[01:16:54] Speaker G: The statue's throwing me off. I. I really think we need to check out the corpse statue.
[01:17:00] Speaker D: I don't think this corpse statue.
Unless, of course, the union is the statue of someone who is now a corpse. But actually if they are old enough, then they are not even a corpse anymore. They would be dust.
[01:17:13] Speaker G: Aubrey, can I smell if there's a corpse in there or not? Do I have corpse scents? As someone who eats corpses,
[01:17:20] Speaker B: Unless it's on your character sheet.
[01:17:22] Speaker G: Damn it.
[01:17:23] Speaker D: I have imprecise scent.
Does it smell like a corpse?
[01:17:29] Speaker B: Yeah, you certainly do detect the hint of decay.
[01:17:34] Speaker D: It does smell like a corpse, actually.
[01:17:37] Speaker G: I'm gonna go check out the corpse mountain.
[01:17:43] Speaker D: Okay, let's go.
[01:17:46] Speaker G: I want to make sure it's not indigo.
[01:17:50] Speaker B: Okay, so as you go. So it is.
It is a statue that nobody really remembers who this is for anymore.
There's the plaque was removed a really long time ago, but it's this figure with wings and they're sort of holding their arms out.
And the fig, like the facial features have kind of been removed from age or maybe tampering.
And that's when you notice that there's something draped across his hand, his arms.
Figure that is.
It's hard to tell because this is.
[01:18:45] Speaker E: Is.
[01:18:46] Speaker B: It is a shape that is covered by these moths. And as you approach, you can kind of hear the sounds of them eating.
[01:19:02] Speaker D: I'm going to I'm going to startle them really fast. Is anybody like, are there other people around?
[01:19:11] Speaker B: Not that you see currently. It's sort of early ish in the afternoon.
Majority of people here would be in class.
[01:19:24] Speaker D: I'm going to change shape and startle them by becoming bird monster really fast.
[01:19:34] Speaker B: Scare them off.
Intimidation.
[01:19:37] Speaker D: Bigger scavenger. Sure.
[01:19:39] Speaker B: It's not going to be high because they are, they are but little creatures.
[01:19:46] Speaker D: They're gonna be real startled, let me tell you.
That is a 33.
Nope, wait, hang on. Yeah, 33.
[01:20:01] Speaker B: You do that.
And there it is. The startled. And then there's just flapping of wings as all almost 30 of these take flight at once. Like if you've ever seen like that sort of like what happens when like a shit ton of pigeons just go whoosh.
It's that, that kind of moment. But imagine the pigeons are cat sized and it kind of blows you back for a moment. Just this updraft of sudden updraft of air with all of these wings flapping.
And that's when you see all of the blood and you see the figure. They are tall.
[01:20:46] Speaker G: Oh, thank God.
[01:20:47] Speaker B: So they are not a halfling.
And it's hard to tell. Maybe they were human. Maybe they were elven.
These corpse swamps have been working on this body for several hours.
[01:21:15] Speaker A: It holds me. All these demons always rol me in this red light.
It calls me.
He is reaching out, consuming.
[01:22:41] Speaker D: I dream.
[01:23:07] Speaker G: Sa.
