[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam. Waking up asleep I've been dreaming Dr. Long I cannot find meaning hold my hand Let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all the. These demons around me in this red light because me he is reaching out, consuming. [00:01:32] Speaker B: And a lot of it's. It's also. Oh, here taller, but it's still like 10ft up in the air because there's like the bottom of the statue which is like 5ft high. And then the statue is like another 5ft high. [00:01:48] Speaker C: With my absolute zero acrobatics or athletics, [00:01:54] Speaker D: I'd like to climb the statue. [00:01:57] Speaker C: But consider bird monster. [00:02:03] Speaker E: I can just. [00:02:05] Speaker F: No, you go for. Actually, I want to see how this plays out. [00:02:08] Speaker B: How much do you care about not harming the statue? [00:02:11] Speaker C: Not at all. [00:02:13] Speaker E: We should be careful, but I don't think we should leave too much evidence [00:02:16] Speaker F: of destroying the statue. [00:02:18] Speaker C: It's too late. Lou's not home right now. [00:02:21] Speaker F: Okay, [00:02:23] Speaker C: Lou is barely. Lou's walking through a window. [00:02:27] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, you do that. And yeah, it's. You do notice this immediately is the chest was cut open, the ribs were cracked, and the heart was removed. [00:02:46] Speaker D: I'm gonna. Can I make. Can I opt into a will save? [00:02:50] Speaker B: Sure. [00:02:51] Speaker E: Please. No, I'm not good at this. [00:02:55] Speaker B: Lou's the only one that has to make the will save. [00:02:57] Speaker E: No, I'm not good at calming Lou down. [00:03:00] Speaker C: Oh, no, no. You just might not be the only one doing camposm today. Well, that's 24. [00:03:17] Speaker B: 24 is still technically a success for your level DC so, yeah, you're able to keep control of yourself for now. [00:03:25] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think. I think there is a moment where like, she starts to fully lose control of it and then is able to rein it back in with like some of the stuff that Vittorio's been teaching her and I think reigns it back in enough to slip back into hybrid mode and sort of shove the corpse off the statue arms. Because we're not getting it down any other way. It's already missing some innards, so we can't do worse to it than it did. Apart from eating it. [00:04:01] Speaker E: Do you guys know accepting your fake meme, the one with the dog with just a closed eye staring into the sunset? That is Nal right now looking at the spellship telekinetic maneuver. It's gonna be like, you know what? Just remove this safely. [00:04:13] Speaker F: Right? [00:04:13] Speaker E: And Nal, she's like, no, I think this is. I think she's made her coin. She ran ahead. It's fine. Accepting fate, [00:04:24] Speaker C: Nile could intervene Chooses not to. [00:04:28] Speaker E: No. You said, it's too late. Lou's already doing. I was like, okay. Closes my eyes, accepts it. I think it's funny. It's okay. Give me this body. [00:04:39] Speaker B: I guess you can tell that the. The clothing that they were wearing was very nice, very well tailored. Was at one point. [00:04:52] Speaker D: How much does it look like the [00:04:55] Speaker C: missing organs are because of corpse moths? And how much does it seem like they were missing and that's the cause of death or potentially early post mortem. [00:05:04] Speaker B: Would you like to give me a medicine check? [00:05:06] Speaker C: Sure. [00:05:07] Speaker F: Aubrey. I have just a straight question. Do you think there's enough corpse left to use ask corpse question spell? [00:05:14] Speaker B: It is unfortunately missing its throat. [00:05:16] Speaker F: Okay, Understandable. [00:05:19] Speaker E: The only other spell I have might [00:05:20] Speaker F: be object rating, but I think we can get more info from just gleaning at it in general. [00:05:24] Speaker E: Unless it has, like, a key item [00:05:25] Speaker F: TM that we can find on it. [00:05:30] Speaker D: 32. [00:05:32] Speaker B: 32. The. The missing, like, any missing organs seem to have been definitely very closely post mortem. The. The. The corpse moth. Start with the softer tissue usually. They don't usually start with, like, the muscle. So you can kind of see on like, the arms and around where the neck is where they had just started to essentially dissolve it. [00:06:10] Speaker E: Can I. [00:06:10] Speaker F: Can I loot the body for key items? [00:06:13] Speaker B: It depends as loot. Get it down. [00:06:15] Speaker E: Oh, I thought she did. My bad. [00:06:17] Speaker F: Oh, yeah. [00:06:18] Speaker C: I totally threw. [00:06:19] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. [00:06:20] Speaker D: There's not. [00:06:20] Speaker C: It's like, unless you intervened with the telekinetic. I just think it's funny to just. [00:06:26] Speaker E: Now it's just giving Lou a look, not gonna say anything, but it's just gonna look at the body and just [00:06:32] Speaker C: be like, she forgot. You can do that. You've done it around us. I don't think I. I forgot you could do that. [00:06:39] Speaker E: I think now it's just like, yeah, whatever. I think this is a fine solution. I don't think I was gonna get any info out of this corpse anyways. So this works. Yeah, I can. [00:06:49] Speaker F: Can I look over the body saves any key items. I want to see if there's anything that potentially object reading could either. [00:06:55] Speaker E: Or just the item in general could [00:06:56] Speaker F: kind of help give information on who this was before they passed or anything important about them. [00:07:01] Speaker B: Give me perception check. [00:07:07] Speaker E: Perception check. That's a 25. And I'm not using a hero point because I actually rolled pretty good. I'm just bad at perception. [00:07:18] Speaker B: You find a small, like, notebook that someone would use to write notes in, it is unfortunately kind of ruined by all of the blood and Body fluids. You find a set of keys and you find a small pouch of gold. [00:07:37] Speaker F: Well, we have been paying a lot of fares recently and this person's not [00:07:40] Speaker E: going to use them, but. [00:07:46] Speaker F: So my thoughts are hypothetically the keys or the notebook. Optic Green could get some information from either of them. I'm not sure if it would, but I could try. This is saying the tulou. [00:08:01] Speaker D: Oh, I. I mean, if you want to do it. [00:08:06] Speaker C: I also mentioned one concern is that [00:08:08] Speaker B: you are in the middle of the street. In the middle of the. [00:08:11] Speaker C: Is literally about to say that. Yes. [00:08:13] Speaker D: Maybe where we can be accused of murder again. [00:08:17] Speaker F: Should we dispose the body or leave it here? [00:08:22] Speaker D: Well, disposing of it feels bad because then the people who. [00:08:26] Speaker A: Who. [00:08:27] Speaker D: Who loves them will never know. [00:08:30] Speaker F: I'll be sure not to put it to waste. [00:08:34] Speaker D: Yes, I'm very sure we should not supposed to do. I'm mostly sure we should anyway. No, no, no. We should not eat its bones. It's tasty as they look. We should. We should not leave it here either because it was left here as some sort of message. [00:08:47] Speaker B: I think. [00:08:48] Speaker D: So maybe we should put it. I don't know what to do with it. [00:08:53] Speaker C: I've never really encountered a body that [00:08:55] Speaker D: you have to be responsible about. [00:08:56] Speaker C: It's mostly ghouls and ELD and people in caves that we killed and we were [00:09:05] Speaker D: safe. [00:09:08] Speaker B: You could take it to indigo. Literally about 100ft. [00:09:12] Speaker E: Oh, I was gonna eat it, but okay. Yeah, I guess we can take it into Indigo's apartment. That's funny too. [00:09:17] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:09:18] Speaker E: I'll just pick up this body and be like, we're taking it to Indigo [00:09:20] Speaker F: and then I'm eating it. [00:09:21] Speaker E: Let's go. [00:09:23] Speaker D: Okay, first step. [00:09:24] Speaker H: Yes. [00:09:24] Speaker E: Second step. Would you rather be kill someone that's alive and eat them or eat this dead body? I don't know. [00:09:31] Speaker C: Let's go to Indigo. [00:09:32] Speaker E: Let's go to Indigo. Dusty's like, you know, there's someone with a house 100ft away. And Aubrey's like, yeah, you know, there's someone that house 100ft away. We're just sitting here like, damn. There's no other solution. Particularly this body. [00:09:48] Speaker C: Let's go to. You said you didn't want to involve Indigo in anything. This seems very involving. [00:09:52] Speaker E: But anyway, let's go to Indigo. [00:09:54] Speaker F: That's what it is. [00:09:55] Speaker C: It is what it is. You have stumbled into a murder mystery. We're in a different genre now, guys. [00:09:59] Speaker E: Yeah. So Indigo is doing whatever and she [00:10:02] Speaker F: just hears a soft. [00:10:04] Speaker B: It takes a minute. And eventually a very bleary Eyed Indigo opens the door looking like she just woke up. Like her school uniform has all kind of off kilter and she's got the first few buttons undone, not wearing her tie and just goes. Hi. [00:10:29] Speaker E: Hi. [00:10:29] Speaker B: Can we get to body? [00:10:31] Speaker F: Don't worry, we won't leave it here. Can we come in? [00:10:35] Speaker B: Yep. [00:10:37] Speaker A: Are you okay? [00:10:41] Speaker D: We found it outside on your statue. [00:10:46] Speaker B: It's not mine, but okay, [00:10:51] Speaker E: I. I [00:10:51] Speaker B: guess, but like goes over to this like table that has like books on it and just goes. Just put it here and kind of just sweeps all the books onto the floor. [00:11:03] Speaker F: Don't worry, we're not gonna leave the body here. It's just we're investigating to try and find what caused this and realize that it might not be a good idea to do that in the papa guy. [00:11:18] Speaker B: I think it's. So I might have a theory serial killer right now. [00:11:30] Speaker D: You do what? You have a serial killer right now. [00:11:36] Speaker B: This is what people number three. [00:11:40] Speaker D: Are they always missing like arts and things like that? [00:11:47] Speaker B: From what I've heard, yes. [00:11:51] Speaker F: If you tell me everything you know, I'll do everything in my power to kill him and make sure there's no body left. [00:11:57] Speaker B: As far as I know, it's for the like the past two weeks we've been finding. Well, I say we, not me, but the coin guard and the blade, the bloody. That the. The holy blood have been finding bodies around. First two were students. And she looks at this one, looks a little green for a second and says, oh, this is a professor. [00:12:28] Speaker D: Who was it? [00:12:32] Speaker B: I have Professor Attencio. They taught necromancy. [00:12:39] Speaker D: That's very ironic. Can you spell that, Lewis Taking notes? [00:12:45] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:12:46] Speaker C: Whipped a notebook out of somewhere and is taking notes. [00:12:49] Speaker F: If this is someone that you knew personally, you don't have to look at them. I can. I can move this. [00:12:55] Speaker B: That's. It's okay. It's not the first dead body I've seen. It's first dead body I've known when they were alive, but not the first dead body I've seen. [00:13:08] Speaker F: I'm sorry. [00:13:12] Speaker D: Okay. That is my condolences for stuff because it is very rough. I'm sure. So there is the. So this is the third one. When did the first two happen? Do you. Do you know, maybe there is like a time timing with which this person kills people. Kind of like how the clockwork guilt problems seem to happen on a rotating basis. [00:13:44] Speaker B: The third body in two weeks. [00:13:50] Speaker D: Okay. Pretty rapid. Do you know where the other bodies were found? Were they also laid out in a very public display like this? 1. [00:13:59] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. The first one was on the steps of the academy. And then the. The second one was found in one of the parks in the district sitting on a bench. [00:14:20] Speaker D: Was outlawed to the school [00:14:26] Speaker B: within, like, a 10 minute walk. [00:14:31] Speaker D: But so far, the most part, it seems that they are targeting R directly in some way. [00:14:44] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah, it seems so. [00:14:48] Speaker D: This is very interesting. Now, I am having. I'm. I'm searching very slowly through my notes because I have so many in here, but we have a. And this is mostly going off of Aki's silent reaction, but we do have a description of all of the blades. The. [00:15:20] Speaker C: The blades from Grapewing. I assumed, like, that was shared with the whole group. [00:15:29] Speaker D: Correct. Does this description match any of them? I cannot find my list of them. [00:15:36] Speaker C: I know I have them in here [00:15:37] Speaker D: somewhere, but I lost the list. [00:15:38] Speaker B: You're aware that the one called the Sin Eater was assigned to Ravenswood and Graveling said the Sin Eater was a serial killer. [00:15:51] Speaker D: This is very been. This has been very useful information. Very possibly we know the identity of this serial killer, but I have to confirm some of my sources first to be very sure with the MO and the details. To be sure. And if that is the case, then don't worry. They are on the list and they will be taken care of promptly. If we need to be safe, stay indoors. [00:16:22] Speaker F: If we need to send a message to anyone, I can do that. Now to get some brief, quick information. As long as I've met them, [00:16:33] Speaker B: That is a choice. And while you're in the middle of having this conversation, there is another knock on the door. [00:16:40] Speaker D: Oh, we should. Is there a way to see who is at it without opening it? [00:16:51] Speaker B: There's a peephole in the door. [00:16:55] Speaker E: Yeah, we should hide them. I'm gonna put a towel over the body. [00:16:57] Speaker C: I guess I'm gonna let Indigo do a little peephole situation to see if she knows them and if they're trustworthy with the whole we're all kind of bloody and carrying a corpse around. [00:17:12] Speaker B: She looks and just goes, I don't know them. [00:17:18] Speaker C: Do I know them? I'm gonna peek after her call. [00:17:22] Speaker B: Highs or lows? [00:17:23] Speaker D: Lowe's. [00:17:28] Speaker B: It takes you a second. You saw them at the masquerade. They were assisting the guards. They're one of the members of the Twilight Watch. [00:17:46] Speaker D: This isn't Nile's sister, is it? [00:17:49] Speaker B: Oh, it is. [00:17:50] Speaker E: It is. Oh, no. Oh, no. [00:17:53] Speaker C: I don't know. [00:17:54] Speaker D: Wait, did Niall tell everyone about this [00:17:56] Speaker C: sister or just Gravely? Just Gravely, yeah. [00:17:59] Speaker E: No, you don't know who the. [00:18:01] Speaker A: Okay, [00:18:04] Speaker D: there is A Twilight Watch member outside the door that we should probably not be letting in unless we are so sure that we don't look suspicious. But I think we do. I look like half a bird right now. There is a corpse on the table. Let's. [00:18:18] Speaker F: Yes, we know. We can hide in your. In your room. [00:18:21] Speaker E: Is there a back door? [00:18:26] Speaker B: There is a back door. Yeah. There's. There's closets. You could go up the stairs to the second floor. [00:18:36] Speaker E: I think I kind of want to [00:18:37] Speaker D: hide with a corpse. [00:18:39] Speaker F: We cannot leave with a corpse. [00:18:42] Speaker E: I think. [00:18:43] Speaker D: Is there a good reason you might have blood on your table? [00:18:48] Speaker B: I am an alchemist. [00:18:50] Speaker D: Okay, great. We hide the body and then. And then we will hide upstairs and hope that's good enough. [00:19:00] Speaker G: Out of character. [00:19:01] Speaker E: How badly do we actually need to keep this body? Because I can just eat it really quickly. [00:19:05] Speaker B: It's not gonna be quick. [00:19:07] Speaker F: Okay, fine. [00:19:08] Speaker B: It's gonna take you several minutes. [00:19:10] Speaker F: Okay, Never mind. [00:19:11] Speaker E: Just like, several minutes. [00:19:12] Speaker H: Ma'. [00:19:12] Speaker B: Am. [00:19:12] Speaker E: We need to eat a body. Okay. Boiling water. I feel like Nile's put, like, a whole blanket on the table. Has probably picked everything up to the best of their ability. [00:19:24] Speaker F: It's like, second floor now, and we are going to the second floor. Taking initiative. [00:19:28] Speaker E: I don't. They don't want to leave Indigo alone [00:19:33] Speaker F: with anyone that could potentially hurt her. That's the thing. [00:19:36] Speaker E: Like, they're. [00:19:36] Speaker F: They're worried. [00:19:38] Speaker D: You know, Indigo, you don't actually have to open the door. [00:19:40] Speaker C: You can just not be home. [00:19:43] Speaker B: The second knock. [00:19:45] Speaker E: We can hear you talking. Kidding. Nile's going to the second floor with [00:19:53] Speaker F: the body as a treat. [00:19:55] Speaker D: Does Niall look out the window and [00:19:57] Speaker C: is at the door? [00:19:58] Speaker E: Does the window show what was at the door? [00:20:03] Speaker B: If. Well, essentially, it's like, goes up and you could either be on the landing or you go into the bedroom, and the bedroom will overlook the. What's out front. Or you could go into, like, the other. Essentially has become like a little study that you could look out over the back. [00:20:21] Speaker F: Which way do I want to go? [00:20:22] Speaker B: Ah, you could either just be at the top of the landing because they would not be able to see you. At the top of the landing. [00:20:27] Speaker E: Yeah, let's go to the top of [00:20:28] Speaker F: the landing for now. [00:20:29] Speaker E: I. [00:20:29] Speaker B: If you go into the bedroom, they could look up and see you in the window. [00:20:33] Speaker F: Yeah, let's. [00:20:34] Speaker E: Let's go to stick on the landing [00:20:35] Speaker F: with this dead body. [00:20:37] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. After you've done that, Indigo opens the door and you hear her say, sorry about that. I was in the middle of taking a nap. And you Hear Niall, you hear your sister's voice say, that's okay. I just wanted to check in. You had some reports of something strange going on around here. Doing my best to help out. Everyone's overloaded right now. [00:21:09] Speaker D: Does Niall react to the voice and can I clock it? [00:21:13] Speaker F: But, yeah. You have not seen them want to kill more in their entire life. [00:21:16] Speaker E: Like, they are, like, on the trigger [00:21:18] Speaker F: finger just waiting for a fucking reason to jump. Even though it's not a good idea, [00:21:23] Speaker C: it's gonna put an arm around, like, on their arm with concern. [00:21:31] Speaker B: Do you hear. You hear Indigo say, I haven't heard anything. As I said, I was taking a nap. And. And you hear n just say, that's fine. Just for now, stay indoors until we've swept through and made sure everything's okay. We'll keep you safe. And Indigo's like, I don't have any more classes today. I'm not going anywhere. And you hear your sister saying, good, good. Now be safe. Lock your doors. It'll be okay. And you hear the door shut, and you hear Indigo throw the locks. [00:22:16] Speaker E: Nile is shaking like. You know those, like, hunting dogs that have seen a small animal they're supposed to chase after? [00:22:22] Speaker F: They are shaking like they have locked on. [00:22:24] Speaker E: On a. [00:22:24] Speaker F: Like, on a voice. [00:22:25] Speaker E: And the second the door closed, they're [00:22:26] Speaker F: still, like, shaking a bit. And just like, okay, okay, okay. Just waits to make sure that, like, the hearing the steps of leaving and just poking down and be, like, looking, making sure they're gone. [00:22:39] Speaker E: Giving Indigo thumbs up. [00:22:42] Speaker B: Indigo, like, draws the curtains so they can't look in and saying, I don't know. I. I think was with the. The coin guard, and they're. They're doing some sort of investigation probably towards points of the body. [00:22:56] Speaker F: You sure are in capable hands. [00:23:01] Speaker D: Nyla, you all right? [00:23:05] Speaker F: Nyle just looks to turn and looks at you slowly and be like, never better. [00:23:11] Speaker C: Lou decides to not push that right now in front of Indigo. [00:23:16] Speaker A: I don't even think it's an intimation check. [00:23:18] Speaker C: That's not even a good lie. [00:23:20] Speaker E: No, it's not. It's not a deception check. It's an intimidation check. [00:23:25] Speaker C: Either way, this will be analyzed later. [00:23:31] Speaker F: Let's get rid of this serial killer as fast as we can. And they'll just take a deep breath and just kind of focus and be like, I'm sorry about that. I'm not quite a fan of the Twilight watch as a whole. [00:23:49] Speaker D: Mm. Interesting. Should we just put the body back or. We found it and let the Twilight watch have it and go [00:24:06] Speaker B: now because they're just hanging around. [00:24:09] Speaker F: Even then, it would be suspicious to put it back simply because there's been hours of damage and they've already been here saying that the body wasn't there. Clearly it would have been moved to a secondary location and they'd have to look into why unironically. I think the best option is disposing of it. [00:24:27] Speaker D: But if we dispose of it, then the family cannot do with it what they need to do with it. You know, [00:24:36] Speaker F: I think if we give it to them, they're going to think that we did it. [00:24:41] Speaker D: I don't mean like personally hand it over. I just think somewhere that they can get it back. Like leave it. Just leaving it somewhere else. [00:24:58] Speaker E: I'll be hell. [00:24:58] Speaker F: Hungry Schism. I just need this to make an informed decision going forward. [00:25:05] Speaker B: How recently did you feed? [00:25:07] Speaker E: I think it was a. [00:25:08] Speaker F: Like last time was with graveling. [00:25:11] Speaker B: Yeah, it's been a little bit. But also like, you have a lot of downtime. You could have at any point gone to feed. [00:25:24] Speaker F: Yeah, I know. [00:25:25] Speaker E: I'm just saying. Wow. Disposing of this body will be really [00:25:28] Speaker F: easy if I just feed it because putting it back would put so much suspicion on us. [00:25:44] Speaker B: Well, I'm going to let you sit on that for a little bit and jump over to Alistair, but I want [00:25:49] Speaker I: to hear more about the sister. [00:25:52] Speaker B: It'll happen eventually. But you, Alistair, you are. You eventually make your way up to where, you know, the headmaster's office is. What is the plan from here? The door is closed and locked. Yeah. [00:26:08] Speaker I: So I will. No, I will jump up as a rat and attempt to pick the lock. I. I have like little, like wrapped around my body. A little lock pick. I mean, theoretically, I could turn back into a big rat, but I think it's funnier that way. Unless you object. [00:26:38] Speaker B: Do you have athletics or acrobatics? [00:26:42] Speaker I: I do have acrobatics. [00:26:46] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:26:47] Speaker I: Because I don't want to. Yeah. So I will. [00:26:51] Speaker B: How are you gonna open the door? [00:26:55] Speaker I: Oh, yeah, that's. Well, you know, if I could get it unlocked as a rat. Wait, no. A rat doesn't have enough weight to turn the doorknob. I will attempt the unlock as a rat, though. That's a 36 to try to get to where I can. [00:27:25] Speaker B: You do manage to get up there. It's hard because you kind of have to stand on the doorknob and the. The, like, the. The lock is a little bit above that, so you kind of have to stretch. [00:27:41] Speaker I: Yep. And then the thievery check is a 30 30. [00:27:50] Speaker B: Unfortunately, it doesn't work. You do not feel that lock pin click. [00:27:57] Speaker I: Okay, I will look around, see if there's anybody in the area. [00:28:09] Speaker B: If you want to make a perception check. [00:28:12] Speaker I: That's a nat 20 for a 39. [00:28:16] Speaker B: You don't see anyone. It is a quiet. It's quiet in this hallway right now. Okay. [00:28:25] Speaker I: I will de ratify very hesitantly, but I will pull out a scroll of knock that I will use. And I do not think it makes a loud noise like it does in 5e. And then I will take another attempt at the doorknob there. And it's a was that plus four status. Okay, will a 40 do it? [00:29:03] Speaker B: A 40 is just a success. And you feel the first two pins clock into place, but there's still a third one left. [00:29:13] Speaker I: Oh, goodness. Oh, goodness. Okay, so I have two make another attempt. [00:29:20] Speaker B: Yes. They were trying to break into the office of one of the most powerful wizards in the city. [00:29:28] Speaker I: I mean, that is fair. Okay. A 41 with a natural 20. There we go. And I will very quietly head in. Oh, you mean I should have checked for traps [00:29:47] Speaker B: 28. [00:29:50] Speaker I: Oh, no. I think Aubrey's rolling a lot of dice. [00:29:55] Speaker B: So luckily that's just a regular failure. [00:30:01] Speaker E: You take 59,000 points of bludgeoning damage. [00:30:06] Speaker B: No, only 33 points of poison damage. As you are. It's not a magical trap. This is very physical as this needle stabs through your little paw. And I need you to make a fortitude safe [00:30:25] Speaker I: 29. [00:30:28] Speaker B: That is just barely a success. You don't immediately go unconscious, but you are stupefied to [00:30:41] Speaker I: wonderful. Do I take any other damage? [00:30:45] Speaker B: No. But then you hear the alarm going off. [00:30:50] Speaker I: I will take just a second to look in the room. Like, I mean, literally just. I'm gonna peek around, see what I can see at a glance. And like a single action for like combat type action. [00:31:15] Speaker B: Yeah, you. You do that and give me a another perception check. [00:31:24] Speaker I: That is a. And you said stupefied two. Right. Which would decrease my so that is a 2020. [00:31:35] Speaker B: This office is very big. This office is very big and full of books and a case with all sorts of items in it. Unfortunately, you don't truly know what the crown looks like. There are several things in there that could be a crown and you really don't have time to take a look. [00:31:58] Speaker I: I see like three crowns. Oh, no. I re. Ratify and run. Run so fast. Or I. I guess I more like hobble cuz one of my paws is still hurt. [00:32:19] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, you. You do that. And. So what is Yuri And Blaith doing. [00:32:33] Speaker J: I think this would have like been the conversation as we walked out. And like Yuri would have had the disguise thing to just disguise as someone else. Do we. Do we have a. You have a message for a way to contact Alistair? [00:32:54] Speaker H: Absolutely not. [00:32:58] Speaker B: I see. I see. [00:33:00] Speaker J: Well, we should hang around in the common area or in this area so Alistair knows where to go. Do you want to. [00:33:14] Speaker H: Then you could go back into the room if you wanted to spend more time. [00:33:22] Speaker J: No, no. I'm sure you have plenty of story to write as the great poet. You are right. [00:33:33] Speaker H: You think they're great. You should tell them that. [00:33:38] Speaker J: You know, I did at one point. You know, that does not make up for anything. I. I don't need to that you. You know, I was not a good person. [00:33:50] Speaker B: So it's about this point where distantly both of you hear an alarm going off. [00:33:59] Speaker H: What do you think the chances are that that's not Alistair? [00:34:03] Speaker J: Very low. Do we want to clear a path such gossip distraction. Or do you think we should just go and find Alistair? So if we go towards it, they'll be running away from it? [00:34:22] Speaker H: Yeah. Do we see any like guard security or anyone? [00:34:31] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [00:34:32] Speaker B: You can see like the guards that are in Ravenswood and they all searched. Heading towards where the alarm is going. Coming from. [00:34:40] Speaker J: Oh, Jesus. Okay, okay, okay. Leith, just slap me and start yelling really loudly to cut. To be angry at me. [00:34:54] Speaker H: I don't think that that's going to stop the guards, but she does so and then shouts to. To the entire space like, I knew I shouldn't have given you a second chance. [00:35:13] Speaker J: Hey, no. Okay, look. Oh, this should be the voice. Hey, look. No, this is. [00:35:18] Speaker B: Hey. [00:35:20] Speaker J: Guards. Sorry, guards, could you help me? This is. This is not what it looks like. I swear they're just making this story up. I should. We should escort them out with me. [00:35:31] Speaker H: Get this intruder out of the premises. Don't you know who I am? [00:35:36] Speaker B: I'm gonna need performance checks from both of you [00:35:41] Speaker J: at deception. [00:35:46] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:35:47] Speaker H: You sure you don't want deception? [00:35:51] Speaker B: Sure. You can do deception. [00:35:55] Speaker J: Use a hero point. [00:35:59] Speaker H: I'm also gonna use a hero point though. I think it's funny to fail. But I rolled a two the first time, so. [00:36:05] Speaker J: Well. [00:36:05] Speaker H: Oh, that's much better. [00:36:07] Speaker J: Yeah, I rolled a seven the first time. Then I switch to the cousin dice and I rolled a 17, which makes mine a 30. 30 [00:36:15] Speaker H: dirty 40. [00:36:16] Speaker B: Oh. So, yeah, what would you like to accomplish with this? [00:36:24] Speaker J: Get the guards to like pay attention to us and not start going towards the alarms. [00:36:31] Speaker B: Some of them the ones in the area will. But there are more guards in Ravenswood, but a few of them will be very distracted with what's going on with you. Yeah. [00:36:46] Speaker J: Yeah. And I think, like, not Yuri would just be like, oh, sorry, sorry. Thank goodness. Just, you know, I need to go to my class. [00:36:55] Speaker B: Think. [00:36:56] Speaker J: I'm sorry, Zossel, whatever poet you are. And then Yuri's gonna. Then run up the stairs towards where the alarm, or wherever the alarm is to go, distract more guards. [00:37:13] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:37:15] Speaker H: Leith is going to start berating the guards for letting Yuri just walk away, but will not let them leave from her little orbit. [00:37:28] Speaker B: Yeah, you. You do that. And eventually, you know, eventually you'll get it there, Yuri and. But we'll move back to Grave Wing. Who stayed behind? And you're working on getting the Tarot shop ready? [00:37:51] Speaker G: Yes, because as a reminder, I asked the Midnights to move because we don't know how compromised they will be, and they were pretty down for that, so. Yeah, relocation to Starlight Bastion. Correct. [00:38:14] Speaker D: Yes. Yeah. [00:38:15] Speaker G: Anyways, a relocation here, we got that. We got that. Mostly. Pretty sure fully deserted Tarot shop. So ideally that will be where the Midnights and the Kitties can stay. And I think if Juniper and Rook really want to. Sure. But they might prefer the manor because it's just bigger. But like, it's. It's open to them. It's open to them too. Yeah. [00:38:42] Speaker B: But Juniper and Rook will most certainly help you. [00:38:47] Speaker G: That's very nice of them. But. Yeah, we're just. Right now, I think what we're doing is we're cleaning it up, like in general, and making it so that, you know, people know that. Okay, well, this place has been claimed. [00:39:00] Speaker B: The. [00:39:00] Speaker G: The owners are back. Or potentially the people who will own this place have arrived. I'm in my civies. I just. I'm still masked up, but I'm not wearing the Grave Wing mask, you know, but yeah, I'm. I'm looking like a regular person. [00:39:19] Speaker B: And Vittorio will end his aid as well. [00:39:24] Speaker G: Yep, totally not avoiding that. [00:39:30] Speaker B: For a wizard, he's very, very strong. [00:39:34] Speaker G: I don't pay attention to those things. Mostly. Usually I might be paying attention now. Maybe hypothetically, hyper pathetically. I just go, wow, look at this. And my. My sister and brother in law also are welcomed. They would know. Basically, I would let them know this is. But the Kitties will be. This is where you guys might be even too, if you want to. This is just like another base or whatever. It's just everybody who needs to know what's happening here is going to know. I just think today is mostly a clean in day. This ain't a move in day. [00:40:19] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah, it certainly is. And it's. It's just sort of five years of accumulated dust and grime that, you know, kind of happens on any place when you just let it sit for that long. [00:40:32] Speaker J: Yeah. [00:40:33] Speaker G: Oh, Gravewing is pretty good at cleaning. That's another thing. [00:40:37] Speaker B: Yeah, there's a lot of that. Vittorio is using magic to, like, mend the windows, and anywhere in the foundation or the walls that have sort of seen too much age, the windows especially some of them were broken. So fixing those with mending juniper and rook also, um, especially because you. You kind of rated this place pretty good when you. Yeah, you did that. So they. They come up with, like, a list of things that this place needs now, and then they go off and they go get the things that this place needs. [00:41:18] Speaker G: If there is. If there's any, like, interesting things that we find, because we're technically taking our time, you know, turning this place upside down and fixing it. So if there's anything else that's interesting that I could find that would. And also, this is just a question. There ain't a place for me to put that Hester hunter. Right. Or. Or is this gonna be a back at the manor, this dog that I don't want be a back at the [00:41:47] Speaker B: manor and the place like this didn't have. Oh, my God. [00:41:51] Speaker G: I think once I realized that, I sigh deeply. I was like, oh, God. Oh, the dog is coming back. [00:42:00] Speaker B: And Tutorial is like, do you dislike the historhunter? [00:42:05] Speaker G: I don't trust it because it always looks like it needs something from me, and I don't got a lot of things. And the next thing you know, it's gonna eat me. It's gonna try to eat me. I'm pretty sure it will. It looks like it wants something, okay. And I just. I don't have that. I don't have these things. [00:42:26] Speaker E: Okay. [00:42:28] Speaker B: Usually it just wants to be scratched behind the ears, or other times, maybe it's belly rubbed. [00:42:36] Speaker G: We are not even speaking or looking at eye level so you can reach behind the ears. I cannot. [00:42:47] Speaker B: I'm sure they would lean down, but [00:42:54] Speaker G: the last time I had to check on it, it trapped me in there for, like, an hour, and then it just sat on me. Never in my life has that disrespect is the most disrespectful thing [00:43:12] Speaker B: you can see that Tutorial is trying really hard not to smile. [00:43:19] Speaker G: Does Grave Wing like this dog? [00:43:24] Speaker E: No. [00:43:26] Speaker G: But I don't but like she don't hate it either. It's just like this is. I'm not prepared to handle a animal. You know, it's just one of those things. It's the, in the, it's the embodiment [00:43:39] Speaker C: of [00:43:42] Speaker G: the, the, the dog or cat or Peter that your parents didn't want. That's what it is. Except we haven't had that time to bond with this thing yet, so I'm still fully opposed. I gave it to my children for a reason. So they would be amused and I wouldn't have to see it. [00:44:04] Speaker B: That was just a reason for them to come and visit you. [00:44:07] Speaker G: Uh huh. God, are we changing the name of this shop? I didn't even think about that like fully through. I don't even know what the name of this shop is. Actually, I don't think I was here for the full raid. [00:44:22] Speaker B: I'm verifying that I have the name correct. Before I say it. The Eye Indigo is the name of the shop. [00:44:34] Speaker G: Sorry. Okay. I mean, I mean it's, it's, it's not a, it's not a, it's not a bad name. But I mean like what if we do we want to make it look like a real legitimate establishment. [00:44:51] Speaker B: I mean it can't hurt. At least gives it some sort of plausible deniability. [00:44:57] Speaker G: Damn. We're gonna have to talk about who the hell is owning this place too. Like we gotta make up. I'm not a business owner. I don't know about this stuff. [00:45:07] Speaker B: I can figure that part out. I, I am technically dead, but I do know how to forge a document. [00:45:16] Speaker G: That makes like three people now that I know how to forge a document but shouldn't be here. [00:45:23] Speaker B: Maybe if you had the silver piece each time. [00:45:28] Speaker F: Each. [00:45:29] Speaker G: What is that? What does that mean? [00:45:30] Speaker B: But oh. Three silver. [00:45:35] Speaker G: Oh, I, I, Well I, [00:45:38] Speaker F: I'd have [00:45:38] Speaker G: plenty of silver, but it all goes to crossing that bridge every day. [00:45:43] Speaker B: That thing is so we can see it. [00:45:45] Speaker G: I hate it. [00:45:46] Speaker F: What? [00:45:47] Speaker D: Did you. [00:45:48] Speaker G: Was it always there? Was there always a toll? [00:45:54] Speaker B: Yes, but it was like a copper piece and you only essentially if you paid it, you were good for the day. [00:46:08] Speaker G: The day this is that inflation. I had. My brother in law was explaining this to me once and I, I, most of it went over my head, but I just knew that more things got more expensive. [00:46:24] Speaker B: Yes, that is true. [00:46:27] Speaker G: That's crazy. That's rude, actually. Disrespectful. [00:46:37] Speaker B: Yeah, tell me about it. I doubt there is much coin left in the vaults, but two notes. Weren't you in it different vault [00:46:54] Speaker G: so there were mult. There were multiple vaults. You had multiple vaults. [00:46:59] Speaker B: Multiple vaults. The one in the historical society was mostly for keeping things that were historically important. There is a. There is a vault in the bank the coin district that used to hold the family fortune. [00:47:16] Speaker G: You're so robable. [00:47:20] Speaker B: Yes we are. To be fair the door only opens for someone of the blood which I do count. [00:47:29] Speaker G: Yeah and that. That's how they got you out. Oh my goodness. We could be so funny. We could be so funny. I mean if it's still there that we. [00:47:42] Speaker B: We certainly could [00:47:45] Speaker G: engrave Wing's head She's like wow reparations can't believe it within my grasp but shall I keep that to herself? [00:47:57] Speaker B: I mean theoretically your brother in law could still probably open the Lark vault because they probably. He still has their blood [00:48:06] Speaker G: she makes [00:48:07] Speaker B: face even if he's legally legally been disowned but the door doesn't know that [00:48:16] Speaker G: she makes a face she makes a jaw drop because it. It didn't really connect to her that way. She doesn't consider him a lark like at all he's not like that's not a surname anymore either you know but it just like she doesn't think about that and now she is thinking about that and if he does show up today she's gonna tell him that. [00:48:40] Speaker B: Yeah yeah you certainly can when he. He does show up but we will move from here back to pocket rat Alistair as you you run sort of trying to get away you can kind of see a bit of a scramble of guards. Yuri, what is your movement speed? [00:49:10] Speaker J: Thankfully it leveled when we leveled up it got plus 10ft so it's currently 35ft. [00:49:18] Speaker B: Yeah yeah yeah you. So Alistair, you'll get down a couple of flights and then Yuri, you're disguised. [00:49:31] Speaker J: Yeah yeah I'm. I'm just like a guy. I could be like a college student. [00:49:36] Speaker B: Okay Yuri, give me a. A perception check. Cool cool cool cool. [00:49:44] Speaker J: That's a 35. [00:49:46] Speaker B: 35. You see a very. You see an injured rat running along. Yes. [00:49:56] Speaker I: I am kind of looking for you to. [00:49:59] Speaker J: I'm just. [00:50:00] Speaker B: Except Yuri is not Yuri currently. [00:50:04] Speaker J: Yeah but I will be going after. [00:50:07] Speaker D: It's me. [00:50:13] Speaker E: Are. [00:50:14] Speaker I: Are there any guards? Because I know Yuri was going to go grab more guards. [00:50:20] Speaker B: There are. There are guards currently around trying to figure out what's going on or I [00:50:26] Speaker I: mean like in a like looking at [00:50:28] Speaker B: Yuri Yuri just appears to be a student so they're not really paying attention to him. [00:50:35] Speaker J: Like Yuri's doing the walk and just kind of like ouster. [00:50:37] Speaker D: Ouster. [00:50:38] Speaker J: And just, like, pointing to my pocket, [00:50:42] Speaker I: I do my best to scurry on up [00:50:47] Speaker B: like his. [00:50:48] Speaker I: Like a drunk rat. [00:50:51] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, you. You do. Into the pocket. And Yuri, what do you do? [00:50:58] Speaker J: Find the next closest staircase down and continue walking. Like I'm trying to get to a class. Something about baths. [00:51:12] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Well, we'll figure out what that means for all of you in just a second. So, Alouette and Niall, what's the consensus? [00:51:27] Speaker D: The commotion at the school did not [00:51:29] Speaker C: happen to draw away the Twilight watch, did they? Does that solve our problem? Dang. [00:51:39] Speaker E: I think I. I think we gotta eat this body, Alouette. I mean, we. We're doing this together. [00:51:47] Speaker D: I am absolutely. No, no, thank you. [00:51:51] Speaker F: Well, pick off every identifying piece of information, because I don't think it's worth smuggling this back with the amount of chaos going on right now. [00:52:00] Speaker D: No, it is worse to get caught. At least we can. At least they all know who it was, so that's something. It's not the best case scenario, but I think. I don't think there is a best case scenario anyway. [00:52:16] Speaker F: Best case scenario is we find this killer before they kill anyone else. And then I kill them or someone else kills them. [00:52:23] Speaker D: True. And I think possibly this one you can eat. Because. Because I put. I. I think I'm very. I feel very strongly that this is very likely that one of the blades, [00:52:36] Speaker E: I start eating the box. I'm gonna wait for a yes, but I'm just gonna spot as quickly as I can. [00:52:43] Speaker C: Yeah, I wanted anything that looks vaguely identifiable, like the coat, the shirt, whatever's in their pockets. Anything that's, like, marks them as recognizable. [00:52:55] Speaker D: I would like to. [00:52:55] Speaker C: To take. And we'll debate over it for a little bit if it's, like, too much. And then we'll, like, take a lock of hair and, like, tuck it into one of the pockets. She doesn't know. She just, like, knows that she's. She's had a dead relative that she latched onto. Very much so. Not dead anymore, but very recent. That's a very recent thing. [00:53:18] Speaker E: You can take some teeth and fingernails if you want to. [00:53:21] Speaker D: That feels too much. The lock of error is nice. You can put it in a locket and keep it close to your heart. So putting a tooth or a fingernail [00:53:30] Speaker C: feels like I am the serial killer [00:53:32] Speaker D: and I am taunting you. [00:53:35] Speaker F: Technically, I am a serial killer, so I can do it. [00:53:40] Speaker C: Anyway. This is good. [00:53:42] Speaker E: Aubrey, can I talk while eating? Because I have, like, 14 mouths technically. [00:53:48] Speaker C: I don't want to be Present for you. Having a snack? I am walking out of the. You can do that in privacy. [00:53:57] Speaker E: I was gonna ask Indigo something while I was eating, but I understand that that is not a very good sight. [00:54:01] Speaker B: I don't like to see it either. Indigo is a scientist, but I think that's going a little too far for them. [00:54:06] Speaker E: I will privately eat this body over the course of a few minutes and then come back. [00:54:11] Speaker F: Then add. Before we go while this chaos is descent. I think that alarm might have to do with one of our friends. [00:54:18] Speaker B: You don't hear the alarm? [00:54:19] Speaker E: Oh, there's no alarm. [00:54:20] Speaker F: Okay. [00:54:21] Speaker B: The alarm is only in the school. [00:54:23] Speaker E: Oh, I thought it was really loud. My bad. Only the school can hear it. We're completely fine. [00:54:27] Speaker F: There's no alarm. There's no war embossing today. In that case, there's no rush. I did want to ask, did you happen to make any research on the potion that I gave you? [00:54:39] Speaker B: And they say yeah, I've got some ideas. I kind of understand how it works. I didn't really know what you wanted from it, so there was only so much I could do. I could certainly I could make. Actually, no, I can't make more of that. I don't have any of the stuff that would make it it, but I theoretically would know how to make more. [00:55:10] Speaker F: What I'd like is some sort of way to alter my body so that I can eat monsters as well as humans for Schism. [00:55:23] Speaker B: And I don't think that way. That. That that potion is. Is temporarily a way to alter your body to be more monstrous, but I don't think it would alter. Schism is the thing. [00:55:39] Speaker F: To my knowledge. Schism eats me, so I'm trying to find a way to make myself more permanently different so something will be able to be digested by him. [00:55:49] Speaker B: Unfortunately, anything. It would take a lot more work and access to original research to be able to. It would take me probably years of work to make something that would be permanent because the effects of this are. Are very degrading. They essentially destroy the host through long exposure. [00:56:20] Speaker H: I see. [00:56:21] Speaker B: That potion not. Well, Schism kind of does that, but the potion specifically essentially corrupts you, and eventually, you know, you. It would wear away at one's mind and. And they would eventually lose themselves to the beast. [00:56:53] Speaker F: I see. [00:56:57] Speaker D: This is the same mutagen that was based off of Vittorio's curse, [00:57:04] Speaker E: which we [00:57:04] Speaker C: didn't know at the time, but we do know. [00:57:06] Speaker D: Got it. [00:57:07] Speaker F: Well, that is very good knowledge to have in general. I'll see about following other leads. I know you have your own thesis statement to work on, so I wouldn't want to take too much of your time. [00:57:17] Speaker B: I do. I do have something for you, though. It's very hard to make, but we'll present you with this small little red vial and say next time you feel really hungry, this might help stave it off a little bit. Little bit. [00:57:43] Speaker F: Thank you, Indigo. And how much? How much? [00:57:46] Speaker E: Like, I don't pay her. [00:57:47] Speaker F: You. [00:57:48] Speaker E: I want to pay her. [00:57:48] Speaker F: How much. How much did this cost for you to make? [00:57:55] Speaker B: Kind of thinks for a second it's going to say something. It goes 30 gold. [00:58:03] Speaker H: You can scam denial. Do a check. [00:58:06] Speaker E: No, I'll let her scam me. Can I have two gold varys? I have 28 gold in my inventory. [00:58:13] Speaker D: Okay. [00:58:14] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm sorry. I literally have 28 gold. [00:58:19] Speaker B: She's doing the opposite of a scam. [00:58:22] Speaker E: I know. [00:58:22] Speaker C: I'm just giving you discount. [00:58:26] Speaker F: I know. [00:58:27] Speaker E: I was fully willing to be scammed. I'm not doing a check. I will give her 30 and be [00:58:31] Speaker F: like, I'm going to come back and give you more once I get some from the group funds. You are aware of that, right? [00:58:35] Speaker C: I'll give you. I'll give you 10 gold. So wait, no, wait. [00:58:43] Speaker D: 1212. [00:58:44] Speaker C: And that will give her 40 at least. [00:58:46] Speaker E: Don't worry. I'll sneak more suspicious items into her house later on. I have her IP [00:58:54] Speaker B: verifying. [00:58:56] Speaker F: Thank you. And stay safe. If you ever feel worried or anything, I'm not sure if you can reach out to me with sending, but if you do, I'll be here as soon as I can. And I am very good at getting rid of problems. If anyone's giving you any. [00:59:14] Speaker B: Good to know. And after about like 30 minutes or so of waiting, do you notice that the guards and the holy blood, having not found a body, move on. [00:59:30] Speaker C: Lou will take the. The clothes and the like the notebook [00:59:33] Speaker D: and the keys and the money and [00:59:35] Speaker C: everything and put it like at the [00:59:37] Speaker D: base of the statue. [00:59:39] Speaker C: Not in. [00:59:39] Speaker D: It's in a fountain. [00:59:40] Speaker C: Not in the fountain. [00:59:41] Speaker B: It's a base of a statue. There's no fountain. [00:59:44] Speaker C: Okay. I don't know where the fountain came from, but I thought it was. I don't know where he came from either. Then just put it at the base [00:59:48] Speaker D: of the fountain, like neatly folded. [00:59:51] Speaker F: Well, if that makes you feel better. We should keep the key keys, though, just in case. [00:59:55] Speaker D: And the notebook, probably their house key. What do we want with it? [00:59:59] Speaker F: Don't worry about it. [01:00:00] Speaker E: Let's just keep it just in case. [01:00:02] Speaker D: No, I'm Putting it back. I'm not taking the dead man's money. [01:00:05] Speaker C: I'm not taking their keys. [01:00:08] Speaker G: All right, [01:00:12] Speaker F: we should probably head out before they come back again. [01:00:15] Speaker D: I am already walking. [01:00:17] Speaker E: Yeah, we're like, I'm out. I'm sorry. I don't to want Twilight Watch to come back. Those guys are cringe. [01:00:22] Speaker C: It's the worst outing. [01:00:26] Speaker E: Hey, it could have been worse. [01:00:29] Speaker C: How we get arrested for murder. [01:00:36] Speaker E: Well, if you're thinking about ways it [01:00:37] Speaker F: could have been worse, the dead body could have been found with us, and we would have been framed for it. Yes, the Twilight Watch could have found us and killed us or captured us. Yes, Indigo could have turned us into the police. If she was not as nice as she was and as lovely as she was. There is a chance that anything that went wrong with the other group could have happened and brought us, like, to here as well. Any sort of injury or attack could have happened from the slasher that is currently plaguing these. I can keep going, by the way, if you want. [01:01:04] Speaker D: No, that doesn't make what's going on now better. [01:01:07] Speaker F: But you did say it could be worse. [01:01:11] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:01:14] Speaker B: So the two of you will meet back up with the other three who are power walking away from this alarm. Oh, and heading back towards Starly Bastion in the Wollstonecraft Manor. And I think that's a good place to end it for. For now. [01:01:35] Speaker E: All right, well, thank you, everyone, for listening to a wonderful episode of Goblin and Gays. If you like what we do here, [01:01:41] Speaker F: feel free to follow us on Blue sky, on Instagram, on Patreon, Nut, judgment, wink. We have all sorts of amazing content. [01:01:46] Speaker E: Give us some positive reviews. [01:01:48] Speaker F: If you can support us with the blooper reel of stuff that Aubrey's legally allowed to put online because some stuff I say has to be censored. And remember, stay safe. [01:01:56] Speaker E: Get rid of the bodies that we're putting apart. [01:02:05] Speaker A: Just a dream. [01:03:22] Speaker H: Sa.
