[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam.
[00:00:43] Speaker B: Waking up asleep I've been dreaming Dr. Long. I cannot find meaning.
[00:00:51] Speaker A: Hold my hand Let me stay by
[00:00:53] Speaker B: your side through this never ending night.
[00:00:59] Speaker C: I can feel it now it holds
[00:01:02] Speaker B: me all the these demons around me in this red light because me he
[00:01:11] Speaker A: is reaching out, consuming.
[00:01:33] Speaker C: Hello everybody. Welcome back to Goblet's Gaze. I'm Aubrey Eugeo. I'll toss for my players to introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get rolling into things.
[00:01:41] Speaker D: Hi, I'm Aki and I play the vigilante graveling who is a Nagaji's self monk and kineticist. We both use she her pronouns.
[00:01:53] Speaker B: Hello, I am Faris, she her and I play Alouette Valer. Also she her a bardic thaumaturge beast kin doing her best while juggling a family curse, falling in love, and of course the end of the world.
[00:02:06] Speaker E: Hello, I'm Dusty. I use they he pronouns. Name playing Eu.
Formerly Moran, still a problem, just angrier now. They are blood hunter, Nephilim problem.
Just.
Just trying to fix things, even though it's all bad. They also use they he pronouns.
[00:02:32] Speaker F: Hello, I'm Sparlock and I play Alistair Whiskerfield, the great rat detective, arcane archer and wizard extraordinaire, the revolutionary firebrand, sworn enemy to the Scriabins and scourge of the bourgeoisie and master of Nicodemus Tower. We both use he, him pronouns.
[00:02:53] Speaker A: Hi, I'm Tick. I use he, she, they pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, who uses he, they pronouns. He cooks, he cleans, he eats people, and has an alien parasite living in his spine, slowly consuming him. What more could you ask for?
[00:03:05] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play Lathe addressi the fourth Dampier, dandy, rogue, failed matricide with a negative one constitution modifier. Leith uses she any pronouns.
[00:03:18] Speaker C: So what happened last time?
[00:03:21] Speaker A: That would be kind of sexy. That's what happened. We decided to go have a nice little conversation with the Guild Master, which was totally sane.
It's like the not guild mat. Why the. Did I say Guildmaster? We had a bit of a meeting, discussing our options and stuff like that, and potentially working with Hester. Parentheses, derogatory, but maybe. And then we went to talk to the principal, the president, the principal, the headmaster.
Headmaster, okay.
[00:03:48] Speaker C: Got there eventually.
[00:03:49] Speaker A: I got there eventually. Give me some credit here. But the headmaster of the school, who was surprised, cooperative, like, I mean, he was like, I mean, if you're coming to me with this, you Kind of understand the situation. I don't have to kill the Scarlet Queen again, you know? And everyone's like, hold on, what? Except we didn't question it, because we're kind of like, in his house trying to do bargaining. Like, that's for the scholars to ask about, not us.
But essentially, the Tldr is. We had some nice conversations. We got to meet up with Hester.
Frowny face. And we got the Guild Masters.
Why do I keep saying Guildmaster? The Headmaster. To agree to help us by swapping in a fake crown and disengage all of the traps. So as long as we take the fake crown, we can take it without any issue, and then we can give it to the Scarlet Scarlet Bond, and they can be like, oh, my God, that's so Poggers. Thank you so much for this crown. We got him in on our little scheme, you know, because, like, why would we tell him about it otherwise? So it's kind of, like, trustworthy by default.
But yeah. We have another meeting planned with Hester, and I'm gonna watch everyone fight to the death, I hope.
[00:04:52] Speaker C: So the three of you and Leith, you take a seat at the bar. Just background. And the three of you sit down in front of Hester, who I sort of leans forward, elbows on the table, and kind of looks at all of you and says.
So were you able to figure out anything else?
[00:05:19] Speaker B: Point of order before.
Before we. Sorry, I just remembered it.
[00:05:26] Speaker A: Graveling.
[00:05:26] Speaker B: Put the sigil on her. Do we do any tracking with that sigil to see.
Just to see what she was doing?
[00:05:34] Speaker D: We never got a chance to.
[00:05:35] Speaker B: Okay, it's not like you can't follow, like, her history. You can only see where she is at that moment.
[00:05:41] Speaker D: Yeah, pretty much.
[00:05:42] Speaker A: Like. Okay,
[00:05:44] Speaker D: yeah, we never had the chance to, like, we could literally do it, like, as she leaves, for example. Like, we wouldn't have to necessarily tail her. Tail her. Right. Like, you know, that's. Yeah, it was more so, like, you know, if she didn't show up, well, then I would. I would. I would track her and be like, well, we're gonna show up anyways, kind of vibe.
[00:06:06] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:06:07] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:06:08] Speaker B: Could you repeat what you said?
[00:06:09] Speaker A: I'm so sorry.
[00:06:10] Speaker C: It's just sort of like leaning forward. Just like. Okay. Did you figure out anything new in the last day?
[00:06:17] Speaker B: Did we? No, we didn't really.
No, I'm afraid we did not gather anything particularly new, except that we think you might be well suited for dealing with it, and we would like to help as much as we can.
[00:06:39] Speaker C: Of course. Of Course, yeah.
Kind of like leans forward and.
Yeah, I did some of my own reconnaissance as much without drawing any attention. And it's.
Someone is definitely covering for his actions.
[00:07:07] Speaker B: From the things I've heard, I am not very surprised by that.
There were some incidents that were talked about in a different district where a similarly dreadful individual was placed in charge of its protection.
Obviously he was not doing great at the protection and they were more than happy to see him do whatever he wanted.
[00:07:44] Speaker D: Okay, look, we've already talked about what you hypothetically legally can and cannot do.
But hypothetically, let's say he was not in city district and you hypothetically found them on the way you can.
[00:08:17] Speaker C: As long as nobody learns that it happened. It never happened, according to me.
[00:08:28] Speaker D: And what would you be doing with the.
Disposal?
Or are you the type to just leave it out in the street?
[00:08:45] Speaker C: Well, if it was happening not here outside of the city, I would leave it for your. Your ELD to deal with because they seem to be adept at getting rid of things like that. But if it was in the city, maybe that's just an unfortunate fire in the Ravenswood district.
[00:09:16] Speaker D: One more thing.
This curse you mentioned before.
[00:09:27] Speaker C: Yeah?
[00:09:28] Speaker D: You got a. Do you got a cure yet, or are you interested in studying it?
[00:09:39] Speaker C: The Twilight Watch has been studying it ever since it came to this world. And removing the parasites from their hosts is incredibly difficult.
It's been.
[00:09:59] Speaker D: Have you done it?
[00:10:01] Speaker C: I haven't done it. I know of one time that it's happened successfully without killing the host.
[00:10:10] Speaker D: Well, what happened?
[00:10:15] Speaker C: There was a priest.
Lamplighter, I guess you call them, of the Star Mother.
She had so much magic.
And the parasite did not survive the removal. But the host did.
[00:10:41] Speaker B: What.
What use would you find if you had access to just the parasite.
Alive?
[00:10:56] Speaker C: Careful with those things. They look for anything that could be a host.
When they don't have a host, they kind of go a little dormant.
Good use. I could take it back to the researchers.
I personally don't have any use for them.
[00:11:23] Speaker B: Well, as it so happens, neither do we. And we've been looking for a way to put it somewhere more safe.
[00:11:36] Speaker C: Well, I certainly can make sure that it gets out of the city.
[00:11:46] Speaker B: Then I will. Oh, go ahead.
[00:11:49] Speaker D: I was going to say, could you share what you learn?
[00:11:52] Speaker C: Of course.
Any.
We can come to a. A deal for this? That's fine.
Dealing with the parasites is very personal to me.
[00:12:07] Speaker B: Oh, yeah?
[00:12:11] Speaker C: I watched as they ripped through my entire town, killed everybody I knew.
[00:12:24] Speaker B: Everyone?
[00:12:26] Speaker C: Yeah, everyone.
[00:12:33] Speaker D: Wait, your entire town?
[00:12:36] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:12:36] Speaker B: Like your family and everything?
[00:12:40] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah, They're all. They're all gone.
[00:12:51] Speaker B: I am sorry.
I. I'm very sorry for your loss. That's terrible.
[00:13:00] Speaker C: That's why I focus so hard on what I do. I know what it's like to lose the people you love.
[00:13:09] Speaker D: Can we vibe?
Yeah.
[00:13:12] Speaker A: I was like, can we all. Yeah.
[00:13:15] Speaker B: Two living parents.
[00:13:16] Speaker A: This is suspicious.
Have you seen the parents since you became a parent? To your knowledge?
[00:13:21] Speaker D: I was gonna say to your knowledge, babe.
[00:13:26] Speaker B: When did you talk to them last?
[00:13:28] Speaker A: They think, okay, maybe they think you're dead.
[00:13:34] Speaker B: And also you think they're alive, but they're dead. You know, who knows here.
[00:13:38] Speaker A: I'm needing Aubrey to elaborate immediately.
[00:13:41] Speaker B: But anyway, you're not here.
[00:13:45] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:13:45] Speaker D: You're not.
[00:13:45] Speaker F: What you get for staying outside.
[00:13:49] Speaker A: It's really funny this way.
[00:13:51] Speaker B: I also rolled really bad.
[00:13:56] Speaker D: I. Oh, do I wanna hero point that.
[00:14:00] Speaker A: I know.
[00:14:00] Speaker B: I'm like, if none of us won.
[00:14:04] Speaker F: If he is that perception. I can't remember.
[00:14:12] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:14:13] Speaker C: Oh, Jesus. Everyone.
[00:14:16] Speaker B: Much better.
[00:14:17] Speaker F: I'm gonna. Hero point two.
[00:14:19] Speaker B: I got a 33. I got a 33.
[00:14:24] Speaker D: You're not here, Tick.
[00:14:28] Speaker F: That was. That came so close to a natural one. I don't know if y' all saw that.
7 for 26.
[00:14:35] Speaker B: So.
[00:14:37] Speaker C: Yeah. No, all of you. Including you, Lou. She's being deathly serious.
[00:14:44] Speaker D: Oh, no.
[00:14:47] Speaker B: Gotta look at Grapewing, I guess. I don't know the deep specifics, but I just know that. I just know that Nyla's beef with her.
[00:14:59] Speaker A: Huh?
[00:15:00] Speaker B: I don't know that she's family. Do I know she's family? I don't remember.
[00:15:04] Speaker D: Were you a part of eavesdropping?
[00:15:06] Speaker B: No.
[00:15:06] Speaker A: Yeah. Were you part of the canonical eavesdropping where I give you one opportunity to learn the lore?
[00:15:11] Speaker B: I don't think I was.
[00:15:13] Speaker D: Okay, well, just grave Wing is looking real grave is the best way to put it. And she'll nod.
I'm sorry for your loss.
[00:15:33] Speaker C: Thank you. I just. I do what I do, so maybe one day no one has to experience what I did.
[00:15:43] Speaker D: Well, for what it's worth, I believe your sincerity.
Those things are.
We've had a few handful of run ins.
[00:16:01] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:16:02] Speaker D: And we have found some success in essentially blasting them with holy prayers, which matches.
Have you ever run into one that was unique?
I'm talking color, shape, lack of awareness.
Like 14 mouths.
[00:16:39] Speaker C: I mean, they all seem to mutate their hosts in unique ways.
I've seen all sorts of creatures that one becomes when one is infected for too long, the drive to.
Consume others, and kind of shakes her head and says, If there are ones that are more aware, I don't ever remember encountering one.
Usually they trick their hosts into thinking that nothing's wrong.
At least until it gets to a stage where whatever they are is not human anymore.
[00:17:44] Speaker D: Have you ever talked to one?
[00:17:49] Speaker C: Usually they're speaking in a language I don't understand.
Whatever language connects them to gestures up.
And sometimes they just talk about how much they want to kill and eat me.
[00:18:08] Speaker D: Yeah, that's very specific.
[00:18:10] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:18:13] Speaker D: Okay.
Have you ever met one that wasn't connected to the hive?
[00:18:19] Speaker C: Not that I'm aware of.
You can insight check at any point.
[00:18:29] Speaker D: I'm debating if I want another.
[00:18:32] Speaker B: I'll do it.
[00:18:37] Speaker F: I'll do it too.
[00:18:41] Speaker B: 30.
[00:18:44] Speaker F: Another 26.
[00:18:52] Speaker B: Also. 26.
[00:18:56] Speaker C: Yeah.
She's not being deceptive. As far as she is aware, she's never encountered anyone that is, like, different or sentient or, like, unconnected from the hive.
Because if you. If Graveling remembers, there wasn't exactly a lot of talking between Niall and her sister.
[00:19:24] Speaker D: Yeah, it's. It's more like this bitch has a career. So I'm trying to see if in the career this has happened. Unfortunately, it just continues to prove that Schism's not like other girls.
[00:19:39] Speaker C: Yeah,
[00:19:46] Speaker D: Groving will kind of nod and speak.
Look, we have a situation. We've got multiple situations, but you and your team can help us and we can help you.
So.
I'm open to an arrangement.
I'm assuming you are as well.
[00:20:25] Speaker C: Yes, I am.
[00:20:29] Speaker D: Is there a time and place where we.
And when I say we, I do mean. The rest of us can meet your group. So we can discuss how we're going to deal with a mutual friend.
[00:20:49] Speaker C: Be a couple of days. We're all kind of spread out on our own missions, but in about four days, we're scheduled to meet. All meet packed up.
And when we do, I'll talk to the rest of my squad and there's a place I can drop a message for you,
[00:21:14] Speaker D: Buff. Table. Crow and Hammer.
[00:21:16] Speaker A: Good.
[00:21:18] Speaker B: Oh, I was gonna say just give her a moth, but yeah, that works.
[00:21:21] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:21:22] Speaker D: I want to give this any of our.
Because we still. We still gotta. We still gotta. Like, I think as a group. Low key talk. Look, man, the Nile, whole family dead drop is huge. So I. I don't want to dive too further in now without reconvening as a. As a group, personally. Yeah.
So, okay, I'll give not L. A look and look back at Hester and say croan, Hammer.
[00:22:02] Speaker C: I'll drop a message by the Cron. Hammer when we're ready to take him down.
[00:22:10] Speaker B: In the meantime, I would find it useful if you could find a better use for this than it would prefer.
And I will hand over the jar of parasite. It's probably covered in something.
So it's not just like, here's an open parasite in a jar. It's probably covered in like a sack or something.
Slide that across the table.
[00:22:33] Speaker C: Ben sees it, closes it.
Make sure it gets to our researchers.
[00:22:40] Speaker F: Be careful.
[00:22:41] Speaker C: It'll take out an eye and point
[00:22:45] Speaker F: at my fake eye patch.
[00:22:48] Speaker B: Fake eye patch.
Alizar was sitting ominously in the back. I love it.
[00:22:57] Speaker D: And then appears and it's the most jacked rat you've ever seen.
[00:23:02] Speaker B: With an eye patch. With an eye patch and a Batman voice.
[00:23:08] Speaker D: Is it bad that picturing him in a striped T shirt, horizontal stripes.
[00:23:15] Speaker A: Oh,
[00:23:17] Speaker C: Treasure Island.
[00:23:24] Speaker D: Cousins with Geronimo.
[00:23:25] Speaker B: Stilton.
[00:23:26] Speaker D: All right, that's for me. That one's for me.
[00:23:31] Speaker C: You can leave the burnished tankard and reconvene
[00:23:39] Speaker D: kind of on the walk back.
Because I'm assuming Laith would catch up with us.
Once we are sufficiently down the road, we'll just kind of look to you guys and be like, okay, I have to break some really rough news to dial to. Just be nice.
[00:24:03] Speaker F: Absolutely.
[00:24:06] Speaker D: How bad.
[00:24:07] Speaker B: How bad is it?
I thought that.
I thought that this person was an enemy to Nile.
What part is the bad news for him?
[00:24:20] Speaker F: Denial. Like, want to murder their family instead?
[00:24:24] Speaker D: No, no, it's.
Look, normally I wouldn't say this because it's not my place to share it, but I don't think Niall is aware.
That's.
Hester is Nile's sister.
And if it's. If it's anything like she said, I don't think.
I don't think Nyla is aware at all.
So I'm asking y' all for some patience because this next part is gonna be so fucking rough.
[00:25:15] Speaker F: What do you think it is? Do you think Nile. Or.
Or maybe.
Maybe they came after Nile.
Or more, they came after Schism.
[00:25:29] Speaker B: Are you saying that you think Nile unintentionally killed his entire family?
[00:25:41] Speaker D: I.
Kind of a dick thing to do, but I wouldn't rule that out.
[00:25:51] Speaker F: I.
I don't think they'd be able to, like, all alone with their sister being like, they're a. Couldn't be the only capable fighter.
Maybe.
[00:26:09] Speaker D: What. What I understand is.
What we. I should say understand, cuz this part Nile said out loud is Schism found them like, on the verge of death here. So maybe something else came and did it and Schism came after, but.
I'm just shrugging a lot.
[00:26:44] Speaker F: So Nile was already injured when they met.
[00:26:47] Speaker C: Schism.
[00:26:49] Speaker A: Schism.
[00:26:53] Speaker B: Schism might have also ruined it.
[00:26:59] Speaker D: It's gonna be rough.
[00:27:00] Speaker F: I do the. I do the head shaking thing too.
Like just going back and forth. But Schism only jokes about murder and then eats people. But Schism only jokes about murder and then eats people.
[00:27:16] Speaker B: I think maybe it is a good idea if we pick up some food on the way home for Niall.
They would never want us in their kitchen, but
[00:27:31] Speaker C: okay. Fantasy takeout.
[00:27:33] Speaker B: The fanciest takeout.
I'll spend the gold on this takeout.
[00:27:38] Speaker D: I was gonna say, like, if anything, it really is just we do quick groceries when you think about it, because that's probably what Niall would be interested in. You know,
[00:27:49] Speaker F: I'm thinking about like, what type of cookies. Niall can't make
[00:27:54] Speaker B: organs. I'm from like a restaurant. So Niall can like dissect the recipe and learn how to make it be like, okay.
He's always saying how he wants to make this thing from this restaurant, but he's never had it. Now here we go.
Recipe sort of acquired.
[00:28:13] Speaker A: Get a little cake and ran on it. Your whole family's dick.
[00:28:18] Speaker B: Sorry about
[00:28:21] Speaker D: your whole family's dead. But you know, on the bright side, here's some lemon cake.
He's gone. Man, what a crazy job.
[00:28:44] Speaker C: Yeah. You managed to get food and bring it back to the Wollstonecraft manor where Harry and Niall are.
[00:28:54] Speaker A: So Yuri, I think at the end of the day you take a break from relationships and finding to fix more about yourself because this really isn't going to work in the long term.
[00:29:02] Speaker E: Niall, I've been on a break for over a year. At this point. I don't have commitment issue. I'm just a terrible person,
[00:29:10] Speaker A: I don't think. I think you're a better person you give yourself credit for. I'm going to look at everyone and look at. They all look really sad and if they have takeout food and just look and be like, are you replacing me?
[00:29:23] Speaker B: No, no, no, no, no, no. We just brought some food for so you could try a new recipe.
[00:29:34] Speaker E: Oh,
[00:29:38] Speaker A: okay.
[00:29:40] Speaker E: Well, Niall was teaching me a recipe and also trying to give me advice. So I guess we had just have more food.
[00:29:48] Speaker B: Never a bad thing.
[00:29:52] Speaker A: Remember, relationships are just like stew. You can't over season it or else it'll turn out bad.
[00:29:57] Speaker E: N. I'm not taking this information from you,
[00:30:03] Speaker D: Nile.
So we met with your sister again.
[00:30:15] Speaker A: I mean, I guess you can just say that in Front of everybody without asking me for consent.
[00:30:20] Speaker D: Look, I understand, but I think this next part you really need to hear in a band aid ripoff kind of way.
You haven't contacted your family since you met Schism, right?
[00:30:46] Speaker A: No, I essentially left, and I assume that they just think I'm dead.
Why are you giving me that look?
[00:31:00] Speaker D: I'm real sorry, Nile.
It's.
Your sister says that your whole family.
There was an attack.
Doesn't seem like anybody survived.
[00:31:32] Speaker A: Oh, that can't be right. I was there for that attack. I mean, sure, everyone survived, right? Schism.
[00:31:44] Speaker C: The first time ever. Schism is silent.
[00:31:49] Speaker A: Schism.
Schism.
Can I roll an intimidation check? As my voice drops, I get really serious.
[00:32:04] Speaker C: Yeah, go for it.
[00:32:07] Speaker A: Opens. Foundry. Because I was, like, not expecting to roll intimidation right now. I was like, wow, what a casual, fun little session. I says, with Joyce. And then I realized Aubrey is going to hold me at gunpoint. Personally,
[00:32:21] Speaker D: I think we're going to witness the worst breakup in this podcast history right now. Okay, guys,
[00:32:30] Speaker B: get space from each other, either.
[00:32:33] Speaker D: I think.
[00:32:34] Speaker B: I think. What, are we going to witness something, Judith, and whack him over the head with a Bible? Like,
[00:32:41] Speaker E: well, we have respect books and.
[00:32:44] Speaker A: Hey, it still could be a little bit less bad than we think it could be.
[00:32:49] Speaker B: Okay, I say, Deluli, we're already starting off with, your whole family is dead and you didn't know. I don't think it can go up from here.
[00:32:58] Speaker A: Listen, it could be just an unintentional big mom. An unintentional big mom? You know,
[00:33:08] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:33:10] Speaker A: I'm not one piece reference. Very good. Oh, all right. Is intimidation. This is the best time for a Nat20. I think that's actually pretty good. Anyways, it's a 32.
I'll take a 32 as a treat.
[00:33:34] Speaker C: And you hear the voice say quietly, they were already dead when I found you.
[00:33:50] Speaker A: Can I roll Insight on this?
[00:33:53] Speaker C: Yeah,
[00:34:00] Speaker A: It could be worse.
It's not. It's perception insight. Yeah, me forgetting that it's perception, not insight. Looking for the insight check.
That's a 21.
[00:34:13] Speaker C: So they sound. And they say, when I found you, you were the only survivor, but barely.
There is nothing I could have done for any of them.
[00:34:36] Speaker A: I.
And you just kind of watch as Nays now's face just kind of begin to slowly set in and just.
[00:34:44] Speaker B: I.
[00:34:46] Speaker A: I thought.
I thought if I gave you everything that I had, you could have just saved them.
Isn't that what you said?
[00:35:00] Speaker C: No, I said I could save you.
Everything else was up to you.
But I'd been dead for hours.
The town was not prepared for the attack.
Was easier to get you out of there as fast as you could. As I could.
[00:35:44] Speaker A: Why?
It doesn't make any sense to me.
[00:35:47] Speaker B: If.
[00:35:48] Speaker A: If you needed to eat me, then why would you bother saving me if there were so many people that would have been dead? It's not making any sense.
[00:35:59] Speaker C: Well, I didn't mean to eat you. I.
I needed a new host.
[00:36:07] Speaker A: Nick, I need a minute.
[00:36:12] Speaker C: And the rest of you are just left in the kitchen.
[00:36:16] Speaker F: I. I think this silence is the actual reaction in character.
[00:36:24] Speaker D: Yeah,
[00:36:26] Speaker F: we're all sitting there shell shocked.
[00:36:31] Speaker B: What do you even say to that? Anyway,
[00:36:39] Speaker D: I. I'm gonna clear my throat and kind of just fill in Yuri.
[00:36:46] Speaker A: Just fill you in
[00:36:50] Speaker D: everything else.
[00:36:52] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:36:53] Speaker D: I will also include the. The little backstory drop that I gave the rest of them and ended with. We've got few days before we should get word from Crohn Hammer.
That's kind of where I sent them, but otherwise, we've got some time.
[00:37:24] Speaker E: All right, Well, we should not let this food go to waste, I guess.
And Yuri will start getting the table set for everyone. I guess.
[00:37:45] Speaker C: If there's nothing else anybody wants to do tonight, we can roll it over into the start of the next week with some rebellion actions.
[00:37:57] Speaker D: What a way to end a week. Oh, my God, those rebellion actions, huh?
[00:38:04] Speaker E: He really did get stuck in Sunday. He got stuck in the state. He couldn't leave
[00:38:11] Speaker B: another reference. No one will understand.
[00:38:14] Speaker A: Steven was sitting on that floor for, like, three to four years.
Like, don't worry about it. It's not gonna come up, is it?
[00:38:22] Speaker D: Anyways, that was so rough.
[00:38:24] Speaker B: What do you mean?
[00:38:25] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[00:38:25] Speaker D: It's the way that you talked about
[00:38:27] Speaker A: your mom
[00:38:29] Speaker D: without fail, being, like, happy and healthy, and little do we know that they're dead and dead.
[00:38:36] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:38:40] Speaker A: And the one big sacrifice that was made just to try to save them was always in vain from the very beginning. Wow, this is fucked up in it.
[00:38:47] Speaker D: That is so up, bro.
You slur.
[00:38:51] Speaker E: When everyone's gay, you can't bury the gays.
[00:38:55] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:38:57] Speaker B: You just tickle.
[00:39:04] Speaker F: What they had to do for her family.
[00:39:07] Speaker A: Stop.
Stop. They're already dead. Literally, anyways. Rebellion actions.
[00:39:15] Speaker E: Jesus Croesus.
[00:39:17] Speaker A: I think for very obvious reasons, I should not be rolling for rebellion actions right now.
Sure.
[00:39:22] Speaker B: You get a break.
[00:39:23] Speaker A: I think we don't need much intel for our break in, do we? Because it's all staged.
[00:39:31] Speaker B: Yeah, we already got the intel. We already did that.
[00:39:33] Speaker A: Yeah, we're set on that do we want to try and expand a bit more? Because we're a bit of a small group.
[00:39:38] Speaker B: I was thinking if we should gather some intel for the Twilight Watch for the Sin Eater.
And because the Scarlet Bond is basically handling the prison break.
So when with the heist pretty much established in terms of like, we got it down, I think the Sin Eater is the next big thing and everything else is just like in the queue and good to go.
[00:40:05] Speaker D: I agree.
I think the Sin Eater is going to require more setup. Especially because it's very clear that we. We. We might not be able to get them to help us if it's not outside of that district.
[00:40:22] Speaker B: My thought was if we can find a way to lure him out after like us if we use us or like probably Graveling specifically as like bait since he has beef with graveling.
And then though all of Anathema might be a juicy target for him and lure him out into the eldest Twilight Watch, set up as an ambush.
Kick his butt. Basically repeat the Nadia rescue. Except for ending in death.
[00:40:51] Speaker D: We're not faking a death this time.
[00:40:53] Speaker B: We're doing a real death this time. So it's like a. It's basically the Nadia thing, except we're ambushing to kill them for reals.
[00:41:07] Speaker D: It's the way we have eight things going on at the same time.
[00:41:10] Speaker B: I know. We got a lot of overlap happening here.
[00:41:12] Speaker D: Mm.
[00:41:16] Speaker C: And this week may or may not be the week that the pirates are in town.
[00:41:22] Speaker D: Let's get them while we can.
[00:41:27] Speaker B: Why do we. Why do we need the pirates again?
[00:41:31] Speaker C: Because one of them's a bastard. Lark.
[00:41:33] Speaker B: Ah, I forgot about that.
[00:41:36] Speaker D: Right?
[00:41:36] Speaker A: That guy be putting his dick in anything nowadays.
[00:41:39] Speaker D: Well, he can't anymore because he's dead.
Yeah, I know.
[00:41:44] Speaker A: But hey, you know how this game goes. He could definitely not be dead.
[00:41:48] Speaker D: That's just true. This is true.
[00:41:50] Speaker B: If they're not.
[00:41:53] Speaker D: Also, would it would be fun to try and recruit the pirates to help us.
[00:42:00] Speaker B: It'd be.
[00:42:01] Speaker D: What if we can lock down one whole half of the city?
[00:42:07] Speaker B: It would be ironic also since if we do do the reverse ambush or the real. The reverse Nadia ambush, then if we use the pirates as part of that because they were in, it's gonna be like 20.
[00:42:21] Speaker D: So we're gonna be like 20 guys.
[00:42:23] Speaker B: We jumped you in the woods and said, go away and leave. Leave that person you're escorting. Can you come back and actually commit murder? Different person, though. Don't worry about it. This one deserves it for sure.
[00:42:35] Speaker D: We. We lure the Sin Eater out into the woods and almost 20 guys show
[00:42:40] Speaker A: up to kill him.
[00:42:47] Speaker C: Overkill. Never heard of her.
[00:42:51] Speaker D: Well, okay, let's be fair though. This is a fucker that keeps coming back and he's a serial killer. Like we got to really like make sure he's a re offender. Like holy, this guy is awful. We gotta make sure that you don't come back.
We don't need to do anything for the heist again specifically. Right, because I know Yuri wants to go for that, but that will also be.
Yeah, that will also be like a major, major scarlet cult. I'm blanking thing.
Did you want to use a rebellion action for something like that? Like for it anyways, like just in case, like maybe just secure you.
[00:43:34] Speaker E: I don't think we should because we want as little of our involvement as possible.
[00:43:42] Speaker D: Yeah, I just want to make sure that you can get out of the heist.
[00:43:45] Speaker C: Could secure some kind of distraction.
[00:43:47] Speaker E: I thought that's what the story bond is.
[00:43:50] Speaker B: The Skylar Bond's doing the heist or not the prison break and you're just going with.
[00:43:56] Speaker C: Promised them the. The crown. And if they had any involvement in getting the crown, there would be a lot of dead bodies. They are not subtle or kind.
[00:44:07] Speaker B: Yeah. And so we sent them on the prison break instead because that's fine if they.
[00:44:15] Speaker D: Well, if. Well, because they're so. Yeah, we're not associated. They would make it very well known that they went and like up a bunch of coin guard.
Like everybody would point to them and be like, oh, look at what they did over there.
[00:44:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:44:33] Speaker E: I mean it is a prison.
[00:44:35] Speaker B: So you know, there's also potential other people we want to rescue. We just don't know who they are.
[00:44:45] Speaker E: Yeah, well I assume they're all being held in the same area because they're like.
[00:44:48] Speaker B: That was what our intel told us. Yeah. Yeah, the rats.
No, I think we used a rebellion action on that one. We never did the rats.
[00:44:59] Speaker E: You didn't know?
[00:44:59] Speaker B: We never actually did it. Oh well, maybe they were. I don't know.
I think the only reason that I recall that Yuri is going along is because Yuri's not letting us stop them from going along.
[00:45:11] Speaker E: Because
[00:45:13] Speaker B: that's what you think.
And I'm just saying.
[00:45:20] Speaker E: Uh huh.
[00:45:21] Speaker C: Uh huh.
[00:45:23] Speaker B: Perhaps. Perhaps you'll have a hard time.
[00:45:27] Speaker E: I disagree.
[00:45:32] Speaker B: We'll see.
But also you can't get caught because if you get caught, you're A going to get killed and B, you're going to track it back to anathema. So just reason number eight, why we're not involved in it directly.
[00:45:46] Speaker E: They have like five disguises and disguise
[00:45:49] Speaker B: spell that doesn't last very long.
[00:45:53] Speaker E: That's why I have actual disguises.
Yuri's gonna put on a mustache. She won't recognize them.
[00:46:00] Speaker B: Subtle.
You could try an eye patch. You could borrow Alistair's eye patch. That will really fool them.
And the painted on muscles.
[00:46:09] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:46:10] Speaker C: Give your an 8 pack here. You shredded.
[00:46:17] Speaker B: Has an eight pack.
[00:46:21] Speaker D: You piss off Lou right before. But right before you leave and Lou just shaves off like three packs. Specifically all of one side.
[00:46:34] Speaker C: So I mean, essentially is for the. So this for the. The heist of getting the.
The crown out. I don't know if you want to have any kind of distractions that would make it essentially mechanically make your stealth rolls easier. It would lower the DC for your stealth rolls because it'll be busy with something else.
Up.
[00:47:00] Speaker E: Like protest.
A student protest.
[00:47:09] Speaker B: We could probably arrange that.
[00:47:11] Speaker C: Students. But you could certainly try something. Yeah.
[00:47:14] Speaker E: Yeah. You know, you put up flyers like stop so many corpses.
[00:47:19] Speaker A: They keep eating my food.
[00:47:21] Speaker B: They could protest the serial killer in their midst. I was gonna say they hate it isn't protecting them.
[00:47:27] Speaker D: I. I was gonna actively say I don't think. I don't think we need like any students to just go to. To 1. Have Lou pretend to be a student and be like, hey, guys, you know they killed a third person in a prestigious, highly renowned school.
[00:47:45] Speaker E: Yeah, no, we just. We literally just need someone to go do like a little bit of prodding and it works itself.
If people are already upset slash dead.
[00:47:54] Speaker B: I don't think we need to use the rebellion action. I think we can make it happen without that.
[00:47:59] Speaker D: Yeah, but we want it to happen on a specific day.
[00:48:02] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, I guess.
[00:48:04] Speaker E: Distraction.
[00:48:06] Speaker B: Can you stop wiggling your tail over my mouth, Mike, please? I know. It's making noise.
[00:48:13] Speaker F: Adorable though.
[00:48:14] Speaker B: It is adorable. She's very happy I'm home. And she's very snuggly.
[00:48:23] Speaker F: It's what you get for visiting your family.
[00:48:25] Speaker D: I know.
[00:48:26] Speaker B: How dare I?
[00:48:30] Speaker D: You'd be like Nile's family.
[00:48:33] Speaker A: No, no, I. I say we make more dead family jokes. It's funny.
[00:48:38] Speaker E: Jesus Christus.
[00:48:41] Speaker A: My God. Niall and I are just the same. We both have a dead parent.
[00:48:50] Speaker B: So how many rebellion actions do we get?
[00:48:52] Speaker A: I think three.
[00:48:54] Speaker B: Okay.
I was like, we want to use one for setup.
[00:49:06] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:49:06] Speaker B: We could do three setups and just for one for each thing we have to do. I don't know how much we feel the other stuff.
[00:49:12] Speaker D: I was gonna say we could break it up like that it just makes more sense because we're doing three things, basically.
[00:49:18] Speaker B: Yeah. And, like, the other stuff is useful, but we're, like, in crunch mode right now. And so it's not. It's useful when there's. When we don't have three immediate deadlines, you know, so I'm kind of inclined to just set something up three times.
[00:49:39] Speaker D: Same. That's what I was thinking as well. Loki.
Who knows? Maybe after this we just go on a recruiting party spree because we'll have a bunch of. To try it on.
[00:49:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:49:53] Speaker A: Who knows?
[00:49:53] Speaker B: Maybe a bunch of students are gonna be like, oh, my gosh. Anathema solved the serial killer problem. Let's go join.
[00:50:01] Speaker D: I mean, it would make it a
[00:50:03] Speaker B: student chapter of the Anathema.
[00:50:06] Speaker D: Mm.
[00:50:11] Speaker B: Who.
[00:50:11] Speaker D: Who's rolling? For what?
It's three setups. But who's going to do which I say Yuri has to do the prison break, because Yuri is the one there.
And maybe you could just set up, like, a secure escape route for you and the people that you break out, so that way you're not going out the same way as the Scarlet.
Full offense. You are also red. I just.
[00:50:46] Speaker A: It's.
[00:50:47] Speaker D: It's like.
[00:50:47] Speaker A: It's like I don't want to.
[00:50:48] Speaker F: I'm maroon.
[00:50:50] Speaker D: That's. Wow. That's unfortunate. Most of them are colorblind. Okay. They're gonna see. They're gonna see it.
[00:50:58] Speaker E: The.
[00:50:59] Speaker D: That's what they like
[00:51:02] Speaker B: right there.
[00:51:04] Speaker D: I'm making a reference.
Anyways. You do, unfortunately, do your thing.
[00:51:11] Speaker E: Okay.
What. What role?
[00:51:16] Speaker B: One of your two skills.
[00:51:18] Speaker E: I have more than two skills.
[00:51:20] Speaker D: No, no.
[00:51:21] Speaker B: For your Anathema leadership, it's diplomacy or diplomatic. No, sorry. Performance.
[00:51:25] Speaker A: Intimidation.
[00:51:27] Speaker E: Or intimidation. Let's go. Intimidation.
Let's go. Intimidation. That's 1990 dice for 34.
[00:51:39] Speaker C: 34.
And you are all level nine, correct?
[00:51:48] Speaker D: Yes. Yeah.
[00:51:49] Speaker B: Geez.
[00:51:50] Speaker C: Then that's a success, but not a critical success.
[00:51:53] Speaker F: To help out, I believe acrobatics is my skill of choice.
[00:51:59] Speaker C: Athletics or acrobatics as a recruiter.
[00:52:02] Speaker F: Yep. So I. There will be, like, a lot more vaulting than you would expect from your standard heist.
[00:52:11] Speaker D: Okay, but what if you were in your past form and all the acrobatics is just you jumping?
[00:52:18] Speaker F: Okay, that is exactly the same.
[00:52:23] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:52:24] Speaker C: Unfortunately, that is going to be a failure.
Increase your threat by 1. By 1. D. 6.
[00:52:34] Speaker F: Come on. 1.
[00:52:35] Speaker C: Ah.
[00:52:36] Speaker A: 2.
[00:52:36] Speaker F: That's close.
[00:52:37] Speaker C: Technically, one would be great, because you want. You don't want it to go up.
[00:52:42] Speaker B: Yeah, no, two's pretty good. Two's pretty good.
[00:52:44] Speaker C: Two's pretty good. Yeah.
[00:52:45] Speaker D: Yeah. We're at 43.
Should I do the sine eater thingy?
[00:52:57] Speaker B: That would make sense.
[00:53:03] Speaker D: Society,
[00:53:06] Speaker F: God do worse than me. Critical fail.
[00:53:10] Speaker D: Can't be you. We are not the same. We are not the same.
[00:53:18] Speaker B: Oh,
[00:53:22] Speaker D: I think that's pretty good.
Yeah. 32.
[00:53:27] Speaker C: 32. Yeah. Success, but not a critical success.
[00:53:34] Speaker D: I would say then, like, okay, the setup for that one would be, I don't know, I guess a way to lure the souter.
[00:53:45] Speaker C: You're at least familiar enough with his.
His type. Feels like the wrong word, but I'm gonna go with it.
[00:53:56] Speaker D: What is it?
What is his type?
[00:54:00] Speaker C: Well, currently he seems to be hunting students and teachers of Ravenswood, sinful.
[00:54:07] Speaker B: Students and teachers of Ravenswood, sinful.
[00:54:11] Speaker D: Have you been to college?
[00:54:14] Speaker F: Who's not sinful?
[00:54:15] Speaker B: I went to a. A good Christian college. Okay. No sinning occurred whatsoever.
[00:54:22] Speaker A: That's an all I went on.
[00:54:23] Speaker C: I think you do that and these things will happen over the course of the week.
You probably get a few more days before. Because you did, you did give the headmaster a timeline.
So you've got about four days before that happens.
[00:54:45] Speaker D: How's Niall doing?
[00:54:48] Speaker C: Great question. How is Niall doing?
[00:54:51] Speaker A: You know what, sleep maxing is like bed rotting. It's just bedrotting.
For once you guys have not woken up to a full nice breakfast.
[00:55:00] Speaker C: Vittorio cooks.
[00:55:02] Speaker A: Damn it, dude. Stinking my job.
You guys like up to Vittorio's cooking instead, which is arguably also really good. I wouldn't know.
[00:55:13] Speaker B: He's out of practice, if that makes you feel better.
[00:55:17] Speaker C: Will. It is a nat20 for her.
[00:55:19] Speaker A: Oh, she's not out of practice.
[00:55:21] Speaker C: He's a prodigy for like a 42.
[00:55:24] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. He's one of those rich people who spends all their time cooking
[00:55:30] Speaker A: that sort of thing. Now feel worse. That's a kick in the shin. Like, yeah, your whole family's dead, but you can't even cook better than this old man
[00:55:39] Speaker D: whose family is very alive
[00:55:42] Speaker B: too alive, some might say.
[00:55:44] Speaker E: Unfortunately.
[00:55:48] Speaker B: In fact, the one person we thought for sure was dead. Not dead. Actually. The two people we thought were dead, not dead.
[00:55:54] Speaker A: Why can't we transfer the. Actually, no, no, let's not transfer the life to my parents. I think that actually would be a monkey's paw moment and I'm actually regretting suggesting it. Let's not do that.
[00:56:03] Speaker C: There's this movie that came out recently called Frankenstein about why that's a bad idea.
[00:56:07] Speaker B: If it makes you feel better, all of mine are in a curse or in a cult. So, like In a curse, they're either a bird or a cult.
Or both.
[00:56:18] Speaker A: The curve.
[00:56:19] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we can Frankenstein it.
[00:56:25] Speaker A: Frankenstein? My mom's back to life. Especially after like four years.
Please. As a treaty.
[00:56:31] Speaker B: Fine.
[00:56:33] Speaker A: Just let me Bedrock Max.
[00:56:38] Speaker D: I don't think I let you do that for too long, though, from being so honest.
I think I give you. Yeah, I was like, I think I give you three days, max, before I'm kicking the door down.
[00:56:52] Speaker C: Or.
[00:56:52] Speaker D: Or I should say, I'm not kicking the door down. I'm asking Leith to pick the lock. Because this is not my.
[00:56:57] Speaker A: My thing.
I think.
I think I do want to talk to Schism. Actually, at some point in the 24 hours of bed rotting. When we have time, right?
[00:57:09] Speaker C: This is still going to be within the first day.
[00:57:11] Speaker A: Okay, perfect.
[00:57:12] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:57:13] Speaker A: 24 hour bedrotting is silent. Would be with your very angry partner who is experiencing all grief at once.
Then as soon as just this like a horrifying moment of silence and then just a very quiet schizzle and just takes a moment.
[00:57:31] Speaker C: But you hear a quiet.
Yeah.
[00:57:37] Speaker A: Why didn't you tell me?
[00:57:38] Speaker C: This whole time I felt it was better that you had something to believe in.
You were happy and you weren't going home, so I didn't see a reason to break your heart.
[00:57:55] Speaker A: I understand.
Did.
Has something like this happened to you before?
[00:58:06] Speaker C: This specific. No.
[00:58:14] Speaker A: We've had a lot of fights with people. And I know what hurt is like. I know getting your heart broken, but it just doesn't feel real.
It feels like if I called them, they'd still be there.
[00:58:34] Speaker C: I'll have to take your word for it.
I don't know what it's like to have a family.
[00:58:50] Speaker A: It's a wonderful thing. I'm sorry that you couldn't.
But what do I do now?
What am I supposed to do knowing that every single up to this point.
Why do I keep living if I know that the reason I decided to crawl myself out of a pit years ago isn't there anymore?
[00:59:22] Speaker C: I mean, look at all your friends.
They've all had heartbreak and they keep going.
[00:59:38] Speaker A: I think they're a lot stronger than what I give them credit for.
Um.
I am very upset at the fact that you didn't tell me this, but I understand why you didn't.
Sometimes saying things is very hard.
And I don't want to lose the last thing that I have left in my life right now.
I really don't.
You're the only thing that I have from all that time ago that I can still Talk to with an open heart.
I don't. I don't want to lose you too.
[01:00:28] Speaker C: It might be difficult, but you could always talk to her.
She's still there.
[01:00:39] Speaker A: I don't even know if she wants to see me.
[01:00:46] Speaker C: Never know till you try.
[01:00:51] Speaker A: No wonder she thought I was a monster.
I would have thought the same, too, if I saw what happened.
[01:01:06] Speaker C: Dear,
[01:01:16] Speaker A: Is there anything else that you're hiding from me right now?
[01:01:23] Speaker C: No,
[01:01:27] Speaker A: I'm not gonna insight check. I'm gonna trust that wholeheartedly right now because I think I really need to.
Don't laugh. I don't like that. Can I take insight check that?
[01:01:38] Speaker C: No, Niall would have to.
[01:01:41] Speaker B: Dammit.
[01:01:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:01:41] Speaker D: Fuck.
[01:01:42] Speaker A: Okay, well, I guess. I guess because I'm telling the truth, because Niall's not gonna insight check that in a moment of weakness.
And I think Nyla's just gonna fold their hand onto their chest and just say, can I.
I trust you to stick by my side through this.
[01:02:03] Speaker C: I am literally symbiotically bonded with you. I can't go anywhere.
[01:02:12] Speaker A: I meant with whatever concept of emotions that you typically are able to use.
[01:02:17] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, dose.
Yeah. Yeah, of course.
[01:02:24] Speaker A: I know it doesn't come naturally to you, but also, I don't think I'm gonna feel good for a while, but I think everyone needs to be fed. Even though Bottoro, I can smell, is doing a better job at cooking than I do.
Or show off, I. I think after, like, the first day of, like, talking and just, you know, just talking it over, essentially just leaving the room looking like, you know, it's like when you've been crying and you're also not gonna stop crying anytime soon, and you're just gonna drink some water that's like that.
[01:03:12] Speaker C: We're still on the first day of the week, so. Are you coming out on the first day?
[01:03:16] Speaker A: I'll come out on the second day. You know, I'm gay.
[01:03:19] Speaker C: Then you will still be. You'll still be in there because there's some things that are gonna happen on the first day.
[01:03:24] Speaker A: Okay, perfect. Have fun.
Oh, no. I don't like that you're smiling. Maybe I should come out on the first day.
Can I change my answer?
I'll come out on the first day. Specifically, whenever enemy operate drops into the, like, group, gets dropped for comedic effect because I know you.
[01:03:49] Speaker B: It could just be more trauma for other people. You know, it could be.
[01:03:52] Speaker A: Let's walk into the trauma sphere.
[01:03:54] Speaker B: Aubrey's, like, high on dropping trauma, so maybe. Maybe she's here to be like, okay, guess who else Has a dead family. Now.
[01:04:05] Speaker C: I don't think it'd be that much trauma for Lou or Yuri if they suddenly had a dead family.
[01:04:17] Speaker F: That's why we have miraculously alive families
[01:04:22] Speaker B: like Niles. Right.
[01:04:24] Speaker A: Right.
[01:04:25] Speaker C: It is. It is. Honestly, Just mostly I'm just keeping track of the days because in four days you have to do a heist and there are a lot of things you probably need to get done before then,
[01:04:37] Speaker A: so. True.
Day one. Coming out. Unnourished, unmoisturized. Not in my own lane. Suffering.
[01:04:48] Speaker B: Want a hug?
[01:04:53] Speaker A: No.
I have a lot of glass all over my shirt. I think.
[01:05:01] Speaker B: Here's your glass of water.
Please hydrate.
[01:05:05] Speaker A: Thank you. I'm going to need it.
[01:05:12] Speaker C: There are many things you can follow up with in these days.
What would you like to start with?
There are pirates.
There's still the lair. Family vault.
[01:05:30] Speaker A: I guess the part is more of a time limit thing. So maybe we should go for that first or start dealing with it.
[01:05:37] Speaker D: Yeah, I can. I. I'd like to do the Pirates because I have to probably bring my brother in law with me on that time to traumatize another family.
[01:05:53] Speaker C: Maybe grab Tristan.
He and Widow are working on everything in Clockwork Halls. They're making progress and all of that. So he can take a day off.
[01:06:10] Speaker D: Anybody else want to come do pirate shit with me?
[01:06:13] Speaker A: I think now. Let's get out of the house now. I was gonna go do Pirate. All depressed.
I'll.
[01:06:18] Speaker F: I'll join. I got the eye patch.
[01:06:21] Speaker B: What did you say, Alyssa?
Oh, I was asking if Lou was going to Pirates.
I can go to Pirates. Are you gonna go to Pirates?
I was only gonna go to Pirates if you were gonna go to Pirates because it's a pirate.
[01:06:34] Speaker A: Oh my God. Are you gonna go to go to.
[01:06:37] Speaker B: Going to be a gay pirate date with everybody and the pirates. Also everyone. Your grandpa and your estranged brother.
Normal. Normal. Sort of. It's like prop recording. We have 18 chaperones.
[01:06:54] Speaker D: Chaperones, low key. Courting each other.
Yuri, are you coming to Pirates with us? Everybody's going. Are you going on this field trip?
[01:07:04] Speaker B: Everyone's gonna be there.
[01:07:06] Speaker E: That feels like for literally everyone to go.
I could go, but I think it's actively a bad idea.
[01:07:20] Speaker B: Your opinion has been noted.
[01:07:22] Speaker F: What part of don't split the party do you not understand?
[01:07:26] Speaker E: When one of us is wanted by everyone, everyone in the city is when
[01:07:30] Speaker B: they understand a mustache and a.
[01:07:32] Speaker F: And then I'm not that handsome.
[01:07:35] Speaker E: Okay? When I just said slap a mustache, everyone looked at me.
[01:07:40] Speaker A: Huh?
[01:07:41] Speaker B: That's because Lou Wasn't doing it. Jesus Christ, you're not the disguise expert.
[01:07:49] Speaker E: I beg to differ.
[01:07:51] Speaker B: And if you stay behind, then that's what always attack the manor and you're gonna get kidnapped again
[01:07:58] Speaker E: behind.
[01:07:59] Speaker B: So you should come with us.
[01:08:02] Speaker E: Wait, it's Victoria.
[01:08:02] Speaker B: You're kidnapped by pirates?
[01:08:03] Speaker A: Yeah, okay, fine, yeah, Vittorio's coming too. We're bringing everyone.
[01:08:09] Speaker E: I don't understand, but okay, I'll go along.
[01:08:12] Speaker C: You invite Vittorio to come see pirates.
[01:08:14] Speaker B: Yeah, totally, yeah, why not?
[01:08:17] Speaker D: Why not? We're all, we're all going now.
[01:08:20] Speaker B: You're, you're brother in law's coming?
I don't know. L says something about grandpa's coming, so I just assumed.
[01:08:26] Speaker A: I think it's funny if grandpa's coming,
[01:08:28] Speaker B: you know him, you know he needs to get out.
[01:08:31] Speaker D: Maybe he, my brother in law, my brother in law and my sister can now fact check us. Two more damn faces.
The Riz too powerful.
All right, field trip. Everybody got their form Signed form, signed form signed.
All right.
Son of a. Yuri, we're going to the pirate place, right?
[01:09:08] Speaker C: Yeah, it's down in the Narrows.
So you don't even have to cross the bridge for this.
Yippee.
[01:09:14] Speaker A: We don't have to spend 10 billion silver.
[01:09:16] Speaker D: Of course Yuri didn't want to show up for this. Yuri only wants to go to places when we spend money.
[01:09:23] Speaker A: Yet he's a broke send.
[01:09:30] Speaker C: So you, you eventually arrive in the Narrows with your, you know, entourage and toe.
The ship that is docked in port is currently called the Elusive Fortune.
And it is a very, very nice ship.
[01:09:57] Speaker D: Oh, how nice. We talking?
[01:10:01] Speaker C: Well this, these pirates are certainly seem like they got quite a bit of money.
It is a, it is a very nice, well maintained ship.
[01:10:20] Speaker D: Is there like, I'm assuming there's like guards or something out, right?
[01:10:23] Speaker C: Yeah, there's, there's, there are members of the crew keeping watch. It looks like they are currently in the middle of unloading some cargo they've been bringing in imports from other countries.
It's mostly food.
Hey, that's like an entire crate of sugar.
[01:10:47] Speaker A: Oh my God.
Wow, I love sugar.
[01:10:57] Speaker B: Why'd you laugh like that?
[01:10:59] Speaker D: I guess I'll go up to one of them, one of them boatsmen and kind of ask.
Where can I find your captain?
[01:11:20] Speaker C: He is gonna look you up and down and say depending on who's asking.
[01:11:27] Speaker D: Potential business is asking.
[01:11:32] Speaker C: Give me either a diplomacy or intimidation. Wrong.
[01:11:35] Speaker D: Jesus Christ.
First of all for thank you. Thank you, thank you. I was gonna ask, but low key. That was slick.
[01:11:44] Speaker B: No
[01:11:46] Speaker D: intimidation.
[01:11:47] Speaker C: You said I could do diplomacy or intimidation? It could be either one.
[01:11:51] Speaker D: That's. That's it. I'll do intimidation.
What is. What is guidance? Is it plus one?
[01:11:59] Speaker C: I think.
[01:11:59] Speaker D: Okay, thank you. Thank you.
[01:12:01] Speaker C: Go.
[01:12:01] Speaker D: Use a hairpoint.
I didn't like that rule.
That is better.
That is better.
I'm looking at the wrong stat. 1 second plus 1.
[01:12:23] Speaker C: 28. 28.
Kind of takes you in and then takes the entire entourage in and says, Captain's inner cabin.
May I ask who is seeking a meeting?
[01:12:49] Speaker B: Are we here unofficial business? Are we anathema?
[01:12:53] Speaker D: That's why I was. I was thinking.
[01:12:55] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:12:56] Speaker B: I was thinking technically,
[01:13:00] Speaker D: that's what I was thinking. We all came like.
Yeah, okay. Yeah. And anathema. The anathema.
[01:13:07] Speaker A: Does Vitora have a cute little bird mask?
[01:13:10] Speaker C: He does now.
[01:13:11] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:13:13] Speaker D: You want to enjoy so bad.
[01:13:21] Speaker C: And he sort of sends the message up to someone on deck, and you watch as they head into to the captain's cabin for a moment and then come back, and they shout, send him on up.
And he kind of nods for you all to go up the gangplank and says, captain will see you in a cabin.
[01:13:47] Speaker D: I just go.
[01:13:50] Speaker A: I will follow very coolly.
[01:13:55] Speaker C: Yeah. Everybody moves up onto this ship and into the cabin. The cabin is relatively spacious with lots of places to sit, and there's sort of this large, ornate wood desk, and sort of leaning against it is a woman who is very reminiscent of Tristan.
You can immediately sort of tell the family resemblance. They have some of the same color eyes, same kind of nose, same kind of, like, general face structure.
She has sort of this long, dark hair, and you notice that one of her arms is sort of replaced by a magical prosthetic and. And just kind of crosses her arms, looks at all of you, and says, well, when some men mentioned meeting a group of masked vigilantes last time they were in town and didn't take them seriously until now.
Please take a seat.
[01:15:15] Speaker D: What giant office on a ship, huh, for nine people to take a seat?
[01:15:22] Speaker C: Yeah, the ship is gigantic.
There is probably, like, maybe close to 100 people who are working on this ship.
[01:15:34] Speaker B: Oh.
[01:15:34] Speaker D: Oh, it's big. That big. Okay, never mind.
So what do you go by now? Don't want to be dropping unnecessary names just yet.
[01:15:55] Speaker C: You can just call me Octavia.
[01:16:00] Speaker D: All right, You want personal business first or business business first?
Your choice. Your ship.
[01:16:15] Speaker C: Let's start with personal business and get to know each other a little bit. And as she says that, one of the members comes in, like, one of the. The members of the group comes in and Hands you all glasses of what you're guessing is probably rum and hands one to Octavia, and she looks at all of you and says, first a drink.
Don't do business with people I don't drink with.
[01:16:52] Speaker D: Ah, you might be needing that,
[01:16:58] Speaker A: I guess. We're taking shots.
I don't say that in character. I say that I care.
[01:17:02] Speaker B: Yeah, I'll imbibe.
[01:17:06] Speaker A: I'll take a shot of rum. It's technically poison. I get a bonus to saves.
[01:17:12] Speaker B: That's true.
[01:17:13] Speaker D: Let's.
[01:17:14] Speaker A: Let's. Let's have a nice drink after the life trauma news. You know,
[01:17:20] Speaker C: you all. You all drink.
[01:17:22] Speaker A: Yep, yep, yep.
[01:17:24] Speaker E: We trust pirates more than Nobles, so, yes.
[01:17:29] Speaker C: Great. You get plus one circumstance bonus for sharing a drink with the pirate because it's part of their. Not necessarily culture, but part of their. The way they work. They don't trust people they don't drink with.
[01:17:44] Speaker A: Nice.
[01:17:48] Speaker D: All right. Personal business. Right?
[01:17:52] Speaker C: Start off with it. What you got for me?
[01:17:58] Speaker D: It would appear we're family in laws, specifically. And then I just hit my brother in law.
[01:18:08] Speaker C: Interesting. Just like, yeah, I believe you are my half sister.
And she looks him up and down and kind of nods and saying, yeah, our mutual father got around.
Tristan was like, yeah, that's kind of a word to put it.
I have recently been informed of his passing.
Couldn't have happened to a better person.
[01:18:44] Speaker D: I like this one.
Well, with that in order, there's a whole vault to ransack when some. Suppose you'd be interested in that.
[01:19:07] Speaker C: I would be quite interested in that.
[01:19:11] Speaker D: Now, on to business.
You've been out of town for a while.
Have you heard about what we do?
[01:19:23] Speaker C: I've heard some stories, but that's all they are, were stories and rumors.
What you do hasn't really made the rounds completely yet.
[01:19:39] Speaker D: Well, Let's just say we're recruiting and we're wondering if you'd be interested.
[01:19:54] Speaker C: Give me.
I don't know, their diplomacy.
[01:19:56] Speaker B: Wrong.
[01:19:58] Speaker D: My God, I hate this.
No, I don't. No, I don't. No, I don't. That's a good rule.
27.
[01:20:12] Speaker C: 27.
Same.
I'm sure we could probably find some common ground, come to some sort of agreement to.
Find things that are mutually beneficial for the both of us.
[01:20:42] Speaker D: What's mu. Truly beneficial for you?
[01:20:49] Speaker C: If your goals are what I think they are and who I represent, sure. We could come up with some sort of trade agreement for the future.
Is your goal to what, take over the city?
[01:21:17] Speaker D: Both people. Do we want to tell how much we want to tell her.
We I mean, is.
[01:21:25] Speaker B: I don't think our goal is to take over the city, but there's no problem with her thinking that it is.
[01:21:34] Speaker A: I think this is want to take over the city and more t. Tear down the parts of it that are currently oppressing everyone. But I guess.
[01:21:47] Speaker C: Tearing down all the parts that you don't like is good. Is good. But what comes next?
[01:21:52] Speaker A: Yeah, when I said out loud, I was like, hold on a second. Wait.
[01:21:54] Speaker F: We don't want. I think I would say this out loud is we don't want to take over the city.
We're just trying to take down the powers that control us all and watch our every move.
[01:22:11] Speaker C: And I mean, that's all well and good, but what comes after you take down all the people in power?
Unless you've got a real good plan, more corrupt people are just going to rise up and take their place.
[01:22:26] Speaker F: I give you a look like I've never had that thought in my life and you just broke my brain.
[01:22:34] Speaker C: Scared, hamster?
[01:22:37] Speaker A: Well, I just suppose we do somewhat have connections that would be able to work into positions of power that we need. I guess we are kind of taking for the city, aren't we?
[01:22:48] Speaker D: Something like it. I'm more so on the giving it back to the people.
Either way, lots of big fish.
[01:23:00] Speaker C: There's trade agreements or just kind of thing. She's kind of says and thinks for a second and she's like, what do
[01:23:11] Speaker A: I get out of this? You know, like, will this actually work?
[01:23:18] Speaker C: I mean, kind of thinks for a second. Then if the.
I want access to all the lurks and dungeons, to be able to take all the blueprints back to my people, I think we can use them.
[01:23:48] Speaker D: Your people? As in a gesture to the boat Black.
[01:23:53] Speaker C: Black Powder Collective.
[01:24:00] Speaker D: I personally don't see the issue with that.
[01:24:07] Speaker C: Yeah, anything that they don't have in the house, that's going to be in the vault.
You're welcome to any coin that's in the vault.
I just want the inventions.
[01:24:24] Speaker A: To clarify. Do you want sole proprietorship of the conventions or do you want blueprints of the inventions?
Do you want to be the only person that can use the inventions or are you okay with those?
[01:24:38] Speaker C: Well, if I have the blueprints, wouldn't I be one of the few people who could use the inventions?
[01:24:45] Speaker A: I see
[01:24:48] Speaker C: the larks never joined your union, from what I'm aware. And anything they have they kept under lock and key when they didn't lease things out.
The inventions themselves worth more than any of those coin. Any of that Coin in that ball.
Especially the blueprints
[01:25:14] Speaker A: above table. It seems fine of a decision, I think, like, we wouldn't be pitching to work with these people if they were like, you know, racist.
That's what I can think of being bad.
But from what I can tell, they basically want exclusive rights and no one else can see the blueprints or work with them ever. So as long as they're willing to pay for that. We do have some wonderful inventors already. So I don't think we'd really be losing much. Like we'd be losing, but we wouldn't
[01:25:46] Speaker B: be losing nothing we had access to currently anyway.
The only downside is that if she wants the blueprints to the Lark House, that's gone. We gave that away already.
We gave that to the chorus.
[01:26:03] Speaker A: That's also.
[01:26:04] Speaker D: If it's even there.
[01:26:08] Speaker B: It could be in there, but it just.
I mean, what we don't know was in there. We can't account for being missing, you know? So I think it's better.
The question is, do we mention it? And I think maybe the answer is we do not mentioned that. That one's gone. And she can learn that on her own. And we can be like, oh, what a shame.
[01:26:31] Speaker A: Oh, no. Anyways.
[01:26:33] Speaker B: Must have burned up in the skeleton fire.
[01:26:39] Speaker A: What a shame. What a shame. Anyways, I think the deal for the help that we get and stuff is fine. Especially because I don't think things people are going to commit like mass genocide with these inventions. They're just pirates, you know, they're just. They're just little guys, you know, they have their job to do.
Stealing.
They got pronouns. They're good.
[01:27:02] Speaker D: We don't know if they got pronouns. Chick.
She has a different life out there. It's a different life out there in the ocean.
[01:27:10] Speaker A: I lost my pronouns to the sea long ago.
I lost my name and pronouns. Wait, I lost my name to my. The fae and the pronouns to the c. And now no one can address me anymore.
[01:27:23] Speaker E: I go by sure thought you lose
[01:27:27] Speaker F: your pronouns to the Fae.
[01:27:31] Speaker C: May I have your pronouns?
[01:27:37] Speaker F: That's not faith thing. They're just like, can I have your pronouns?
And suddenly you don't have them.
[01:27:45] Speaker A: I'm fine.
[01:27:48] Speaker E: We need to meet the Fae with all the pronouns.
[01:27:55] Speaker A: If we.
[01:27:56] Speaker D: If we overload Queen Ma with pronouns, do you think she just combust? She gave off a mega flare.
[01:28:07] Speaker A: You see it?
Actually, no. I used to be gender FL fluid, but she. Her pronouns got taken by a Fae and now he can't get it back.
This is a joke. For illegal reasons?
[01:28:18] Speaker C: For legal reasons. So. Yes. Do you agree to Octavia's terms?
[01:28:22] Speaker A: I'm down for it, I think.
[01:28:28] Speaker D: All right, blueprints are yours.
[01:28:33] Speaker C: Great.
Bell.
What do you need my help with or my crew's help with?
[01:28:43] Speaker D: Honestly? Bit of everything.
Wouldn't say no to some trade. Wouldn't say no to anything else you guys do but numbers.
Maybe spreading the word a little bit.
And also, when we actually break into these vaults, we'd like your assistance.
[01:29:05] Speaker B: Of course.
Did we want them specifically for the Sin Eater ambush, or were we just joking about that?
[01:29:13] Speaker D: I think we were just joking about that because we are, in theory, for the Sin Eater ambush, we might have, like, 10 people.
[01:29:19] Speaker B: Yeah, I was just checking right before we, like, pass them off. I'm like, I don't know how serious we were about that.
[01:29:30] Speaker D: I'm lowkey thinking of this, like, in a squad way, while also, like, here's even more resources that we have. And then when we eventually hit the vaults, we take her. Maybe instead of the boy who got doxed and not Yuri Docks. I mean the other one.
[01:29:49] Speaker A: Tristan. There you go.
[01:29:52] Speaker D: I'm forgetting everybody's names. Today is. I've been having a day.
[01:29:57] Speaker C: Okay?
And you watch as Octavia essentially quickly draws up a contract and with a small dagger, will prick a thumb and place blood on the contract.
[01:30:22] Speaker D: The whole party knows right now. Okay.
[01:30:30] Speaker A: Griffin can't read.
You just pulled up a biscuit.
[01:30:37] Speaker C: Someone else can. Can do this.
[01:30:40] Speaker F: Let me. Let me.
Let me take a look at this. I say as I start reading it out loud. Wait, do I know that Gravely can't read?
[01:30:49] Speaker D: Yeah, I think so.
[01:30:50] Speaker A: I'm pretty sure.
[01:30:51] Speaker C: Everybody.
[01:30:52] Speaker A: It's faster. Someone reads it out loud, you know? You know?
[01:30:55] Speaker F: Yeah, I just pass it around to everybody.
[01:30:58] Speaker A: Yeah, I just read it out loud, you know, as a treat.
[01:31:02] Speaker F: I say it like I'm mumbling to myself. I'm like, sorry, sorry. I just understand it better. If I do this,
[01:31:09] Speaker C: and it's essentially his, there's a binding agreement that you all will give the crew of this crew of the ship and the Black powder collective access to all of the lurks invention blueprints in return for essentially, help from the crew.
[01:31:32] Speaker A: For all blueprints or just blueprints that are found in the vault.
[01:31:36] Speaker C: It's Annie the Lark blueprints that are in the vault.
[01:31:39] Speaker A: Okay,
[01:31:42] Speaker C: just for.
[01:31:44] Speaker F: For context, like, are we talking, like, warships and computer chips or like nukes?
[01:32:00] Speaker C: You really don't know what's in that vault.
[01:32:06] Speaker F: Fair enough.
[01:32:13] Speaker A: I don't think there's Nukes, probably.
[01:32:18] Speaker F: I mean, you know, the. The Scarlet people want to revive a God to murder everyone, so who knows?
I think to myself, as I.
[01:32:34] Speaker C: They are very civilized.
[01:32:41] Speaker D: All right, well, if the whole thing gets red, who wants to do the thumb pricking? Because I don't mind doing it if we. If you really want to. Because
[01:32:52] Speaker F: we don't all have to do it. Because I definitely don't want to do. Do it.
[01:32:57] Speaker C: Only one, if he does it should be Yuri.
[01:33:01] Speaker E: No, he should.
[01:33:05] Speaker A: I feel like there's two people here with weird blood that definitely should not be pricking their fingers and putting in on it.
I could.
[01:33:14] Speaker D: I could do it too, if you really wanted to. But, like, also, like, I. I don't know if anybody else really wants to.
[01:33:20] Speaker B: It's fine. Just imagine the Valerian Moran blood opens vaults. So I would rather not get that away.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, you don't have.
[01:33:32] Speaker D: All right, all right, all right. Just take my pauper blood and then just.
I'll do what she did. Right? Prick the finger.
[01:33:42] Speaker C: Prick the finger. Put it on there. You can feel the sealing of the magic of the contract.
[01:33:50] Speaker B: Do I get the copy of this?
[01:33:53] Speaker C: Yes, yes, you do. And kind of sort of magically flips it and there are two copies of it and one for her, one for you. And says, for the next bit of time, the crew is yours.
And I will have added an any way I can. So, yeah, mechanically, you gain at least one squad and you gain 100 followers.
[01:34:28] Speaker D: Score, score, score.
[01:34:33] Speaker C: And more drink will be brought. You don't have to drink it, but more drink will be brought because it is a moment of celebration for them.
[01:34:40] Speaker B: It feels rude not to.
And they clearly had a really good haul. So it's got to be decent rum, you know.
[01:34:48] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, it's all good stuff. And food is brought as well.
[01:34:52] Speaker A: You can see Niall is very deep and thought about something. And if you listen quietly, you can just hear the muttering about the sugar they saw in the container. Like, they have a lot of sugar and they're not sure how to ask them muttering about it.
And make some really good cookies with that.
[01:35:12] Speaker C: That's there.
I think that is actually a pretty good spot to end it for now.
[01:35:18] Speaker A: Hell yeah. Let's take some shots.
[01:35:21] Speaker F: Shot, shot, shot, shot, shot, shot, shot.
[01:35:24] Speaker A: Everybody take. Take us out.

[01:36:08] Speaker D: Did you see how nobody agreed to that?
[01:36:12] Speaker A: You see how nobody. Nobody agreed?
[01:36:16] Speaker F: Like I purposefully made it so that I didn't have family. So that you wouldn't bullish.
[01:36:24] Speaker A: My family's already dead.
[01:36:26] Speaker B: Which campaign was the happy one? Aubrey.
[01:36:29] Speaker C: What a kinks.
[01:36:31] Speaker E: Excuse me for half of it.
[01:36:35] Speaker B: Were you gming? I don't remember. A whole campaign of happiness.
[01:36:40] Speaker A: Get her.
[01:36:41] Speaker C: Get her to the next.
[01:36:42] Speaker B: Get her.
[01:36:44] Speaker F: Happier and happy are two very different things.
[01:36:54] Speaker A: Yeah, for sure.
[01:36:55] Speaker D: You gotta keep all. Yeah, I keep all of that in.
[01:37:03] Speaker C: I remember. Aki, you saying ask ending before a certain point for tonight.
[01:37:09] Speaker D: Yes.
[01:37:13] Speaker C: Cuz I got bees. Yeah. You have your mom's surgery in the morning, so. Yeah, so we'll do the one episode so everybody can go relax.
