[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam. Waking up dreaming dark so long I cannot find the meaning hold my hand Let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel [00:01:00] Speaker B: it now it holds me all the [00:01:03] Speaker A: his demon surround me in this red light he calls me he is reaching out consuming. [00:01:33] Speaker B: Goblins and gays. I'm Aubrey, your GM and also have some players to introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing and then we'll get rolling into things. [00:01:41] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Aki and I play the vigilante Grave Wing, who is a Nagaji's sylph, monk and kineticist. We both use she her pronouns. [00:01:53] Speaker D: Hello, I am Faris, she her and I play Aloha Tver. Also she her a bardic thaumaturge beast kin doing her best while juggling a family curse, falling in love and of course the end of the world. [00:02:07] Speaker E: Hello, I'm Dusty. I use they he pronouns. Name playing Eu Formerly Moran, still a problem, just angrier now. They are blood hunter Nephilim problem. Just. Just trying to fix things, even though it's all bad. They also use they he pronouns. [00:02:32] Speaker F: Hello, I'm Sparlock and I play Alistair Whiskerfield, the great rat detective, arcane archer and wizard extraordinaire, the revolutionary firebrand, sworn enemy to the Scriabins and scourge of the bourgeoisie and master of Nicodemus Tower. We both use he him pronouns. [00:02:55] Speaker A: Hi, I'm Tick. I use he, she, they pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, who uses he they pronouns. He cooks, he cleans, he eats people and has an alien parasite living in his spine, slowly consuming him. What more could you ask for? [00:03:07] Speaker G: Hi, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play Laith Idrisi, the fourth Dampier Dandy, rogue, failed matricide with a minus one constitution modifier. Leith uses she any pronouns. [00:03:21] Speaker B: So tell me what happened last time [00:03:24] Speaker A: you burned my house to the ground and you killed my family. That is basically what happened. Hester was like, yeah, I love talking to you guys. It's so sad that my entire fucking family died several years ago when these monsters attacked. And everyone was like, ooh, ooh. And was like, hey, Niall, I have bad news about your family. And I was like, schism is that show. And he was like, maybe kind of. Listen, I don't want to tell you, like you weren't asking. You know, Delulu, ignorance is bliss. So, yeah, whole family's dead. Thanks, Aubrey. And then we went to talk to some pirates about making a wonderful deal for them to work for Us in exchange for some wonderful plans in a vault we have ironed out. [00:04:12] Speaker G: Yippee. [00:04:12] Speaker A: And to talk to Hester and co again to see if we can have a bit of an alliance to kill the. The sin vore guy. Mr. Sin Snacker. He should have been called the Sin Snacker. That's funnier. Other than Sin Eater, we're gonna call him the Sin Snacker. But yeah, we're gonna team up. Hopefully I deal with that guy. Learn more about the toxic worms invading our area. Click here and see how toxic Yuri becomes a possible thing. I mean, Yuri's always been toxic. What am I saying? [00:04:42] Speaker B: Yes, speaking of, it is about time for that heist that you set up with the Headmaster. Yeah. So we should probably go over the plan again. [00:05:06] Speaker A: The plan which I'm not attending because I have the stealth of a graceful baby giraffe, whatever that is. We are sending our group in to sneak in our best stealthing. And we have already arranged with the Headmaster that the case that they want to. They need to get into is unlocked. It has a fake crown in it. [00:05:25] Speaker B: It's locked, but it has the fake crown in it. It's not trapped. [00:05:29] Speaker A: It's not booby trapped. It's locked. It's like not. It's not. It's not a serious threat. It's just like, wow, this is convincing level of threat. So as long as we send the stealthiest people in to break in and just take it, we don't have to worry about any surprises, to our knowledge. And as long as we don't touch anything else, we should be completely fine. I'm not going, though. I'm not stealthy. Yes, Greyblade. [00:05:56] Speaker C: I was like, we should probably establish out loud who the fuck is actually going. [00:06:02] Speaker D: Mm, [00:06:05] Speaker B: probably a good idea. [00:06:07] Speaker D: Give some talismans for sneaking. [00:06:15] Speaker C: So obviously Leith is going because it'd be really foolish to not send her. We. We did play with the idea of sending Vittorio, because that can pass. Can cast invisibility and stuff. We still want to do that. [00:06:31] Speaker D: Are we going at, like, not during school hours, I assume. [00:06:36] Speaker A: Yeah, definitely. That'll make the most sense at least. [00:06:40] Speaker D: Or is this like a 24 hour school? Because nighttime is a figment of our imagination. [00:06:46] Speaker B: It's classes. Classes which happen during the daytime. [00:06:54] Speaker E: I think Yuri would go and. Because also, like, they can now disguise themselves and invisible themselves so they could help orchestrate the distraction that's gonna happen. I assume [00:07:11] Speaker D: if I go, it's only because I can do things like guidance. My stealth is middling though. It's like I'm trained. It's fine. But [00:07:28] Speaker C: yeah, we need. We need stealth. I have a good stealth stat despite not being trained in it. And that is solely because my dexterity is insane. [00:07:37] Speaker B: Really high. [00:07:38] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:07:39] Speaker C: So it's like I can still go and I think it won't be that bad. Plus, Grave Wing can do parkour and. And I do have the ability to distract because of a feat. I'm just not trained in stealth. So if we're gonna like stack stealth items, you might want to stack it on me. [00:08:01] Speaker D: What other tools do we need for this heist? We need stealthy people. Do we need. I. I mean, if lathe is there, then we also have a lock breaker. Is there any other like skill set we need there? [00:08:18] Speaker E: I think it would be bad to not send anyone. That's like a fighter. Fighter. I think having a magic person do the fighting. Not a good idea. [00:08:32] Speaker F: Alistair. [00:08:34] Speaker G: That's why she has such good con. [00:08:37] Speaker F: Alistair is definitely coming. Though still a little traumatized from the last infiltration. [00:08:47] Speaker C: Grave Wing is a fighter. Fighter, yeah. [00:08:51] Speaker A: Who's not coming at this point? Is it just me? [00:08:56] Speaker D: I'm on the defense. I think only if I'm necessary. [00:09:00] Speaker A: That's kind of my thought too. [00:09:02] Speaker D: My talismans. But yeah, getting a crowd in and [00:09:05] Speaker A: out seems like it'll be kind of hard if we have more people. [00:09:10] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean it also is. The question is, did you all want to have some sort of distraction to make it easier on you? Draw away any attention? [00:09:21] Speaker C: Didn't we do that for setup? [00:09:23] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. [00:09:25] Speaker E: We got like. [00:09:25] Speaker C: It's already done. [00:09:27] Speaker B: Okay. [00:09:27] Speaker E: We're gonna like have them start like a very loud protest. [00:09:35] Speaker C: Yes. That's already happening because we set. That's the setup. Yeah, there is. [00:09:45] Speaker F: I think we should have the non sneaky people just hanging out nearby. It is a college campus. [00:09:52] Speaker C: We failed at setting that up. [00:09:55] Speaker B: You did. [00:09:56] Speaker D: We did good at the other two. [00:09:57] Speaker C: There is no yeah, we did good in the other two. We failed setting, so we still need a distraction if we want it. We failed setting that up. [00:10:05] Speaker F: Do we know we failed setting it up? [00:10:07] Speaker B: Yes. [00:10:08] Speaker C: Yes. Because in the notes it says Alistair fails on setting up a distraction for the Ravenswood heist. [00:10:15] Speaker F: Oh, that feels personal. [00:10:20] Speaker D: I didn't. I did set the precedent of who does it. It's just so we remember for like next time so the same person isn't rolling a million times. Though that being said, we did duplicate from last time, so those three are off the docket for the next roles. [00:10:33] Speaker E: Anyway, I. I think Yuri would be Glad to help set a distraction. I have like my performance. I'm like I'm the firebrand anyways, so my performance is fine. My intimidation's better. [00:10:48] Speaker D: How. How big is the crown considered one bulk. [00:10:57] Speaker B: Yes, it would be. [00:10:59] Speaker A: Okay. [00:11:00] Speaker B: Well, it'd probably be less than. Well, be roughly a bulk. [00:11:04] Speaker C: Sorry. [00:11:04] Speaker D: I minimized all of my screen somehow. [00:11:08] Speaker A: Okay. [00:11:13] Speaker D: Would it be useful to the the heist team? And this may depend on how many people are heisting for sure, but to be able to. Not. Hang on. Let me read this again. [00:11:36] Speaker B: Okay. [00:11:36] Speaker D: Yeah. Theoretically, you could break into the office, attune the crown to a prism and then walk out with the crown left there and then summon it to you at a later location. Is that a useful feature to not have to physically remove it from the bot the building just get close enough to attune to it. In which case we probably could have done this when Alistair went in if he hadn't set up the trap. But I forgot about it like this. Or do you. Is it. Is it fine to just physically take it? I'm thinking more along the lines of like if you get caught, it won't be on your person. But I don't know if that's actually necessary or helpful. I'm just throwing out my tools and you all can pick what you think is useful. [00:12:21] Speaker A: If we get caught, we die like men. This is a joke. [00:12:23] Speaker D: Let's not. [00:12:25] Speaker B: Laith. [00:12:26] Speaker E: What do you think? You're the one lock breaking. [00:12:30] Speaker G: I mean, can we attune to the fake crown? [00:12:36] Speaker D: It's not like attuning in the regular sense. It's. You're attuning the item to the talisman. You're just. Okay, so it's not like magical attuning. This is how I smuggled Yuri's gun into the the Masquerade. So I didn't have a gun on my skirts. [00:12:54] Speaker G: Oh, I see. [00:12:55] Speaker C: I see. [00:12:56] Speaker D: Yeah. But there's not a distance limit on it. It just can't be in an extra dimensional space as long as it's on your plane. It can retrieve it from anywhere as. But you have to fix it first. [00:13:15] Speaker B: Yeah, that is. That is a all you question. [00:13:19] Speaker G: I don't think it hurts to have. If there's not like an opportunity cost to it. I don't think we'll need it hopefully, but you know. [00:13:29] Speaker A: Okay, cool. Better safe than sorry. [00:13:32] Speaker D: Yeah, it's. It's just a personal preference and whether you want to risk being caught with it versus this. All you have to do is get close enough to a tune and Then you can walk out without it and call it to you after you leave [00:13:44] Speaker B: the building [00:13:47] Speaker C: that we're going to. A magical building in a magical room. I mean, sure, he said that he turned off traps. That doesn't mean he turned off being able to use potential magic in the building or in the room. I just feel like it doesn't specify [00:14:04] Speaker D: that that would prevent it. [00:14:07] Speaker B: I think it's always a good plan. [00:14:10] Speaker D: Yeah. Just as an option. [00:14:12] Speaker C: Yeah. What I'm saying is I don't think it's like. I don't think it's wise to be like it's attuned and then walk out and then see if it appears. I just. I don't know. I don't roll. I just feel like this is. This is like the most magical building in this entire area. It doesn't make sense. [00:14:31] Speaker A: Theoretically. Can't we attune and take it and then that way if someone takes it back from us, we can just yoink it from their fucking grubby hands. [00:14:37] Speaker C: Yeah, that's also true. [00:14:38] Speaker D: Yeah, we could have really screwed up. We could have done the real crown now. [00:14:43] Speaker A: We could have done a yoink, but I'm kidding. [00:14:46] Speaker C: Yeah, well, to be fair, we didn't even see the real crown last time. Alistair just got a mouth full of poison. [00:14:52] Speaker E: Yes, powerful, powerful. [00:14:56] Speaker D: Sorry, you're right. Our bad. Okay, then I'm going to drop. There's three people going to do act the actual heist or three heisting. [00:15:19] Speaker B: I think so, yeah. [00:15:20] Speaker C: Then that is who's actually heisting though now I'm confused again. [00:15:26] Speaker D: Blaze and Alistair [00:15:31] Speaker C: leaving chicken boy at home. [00:15:33] Speaker D: Oh, I forgot about chicken Boy. [00:15:35] Speaker B: If you want Victoria to come along, he can. [00:15:40] Speaker E: I am worried for him being out in public too long, especially with the. [00:15:46] Speaker C: I'm worried for you being out in public too long. You're the active person who got. [00:15:51] Speaker E: I have disguise and invisibility without me helping. [00:15:54] Speaker D: He can just do that right now. [00:15:55] Speaker E: I have that now. Just immediately. I just think putting Vittorio more situations until we really want to like blast off with like, him going public. Because if the blade sees him and like, explains what it is, Gore knows [00:16:14] Speaker D: him [00:16:16] Speaker E: and they're gonna now know more about what we were able to do, so. [00:16:23] Speaker C: Okay, Chicken boy is home. [00:16:26] Speaker D: I'm dropping my talismans down. Chicken man. [00:16:30] Speaker C: He's a boy. [00:16:31] Speaker D: Chicken boy. [00:16:34] Speaker C: A man means I hate him. [00:16:38] Speaker E: Yeah, okay. All right. [00:16:41] Speaker C: I feel a little. I feel a little misandrous today. I've had enough. The bit has changed. [00:16:49] Speaker D: I've dropped all of the talisman links. It's just two talisman. There's four talismans but only two types. One of you all get. All three of you get the Onyx panther which gives you. You can get a plus one item bonus to your sneak and move at full speed instead of half on a sneak action it is again only a oncer and then the other one is presumably for lathe and that's the retrieval prism to have a backup plan if you lose the crown for some reason or have to stash it quickly or whatever. That's all I'm sending with you though so don't freaking get hurt or nothing like that or start a fight. [00:17:35] Speaker C: Oh my God. [00:17:35] Speaker A: I can give you guys potions if you want. I can make those in the form of good soup. I pack you guys lunches. [00:17:44] Speaker B: Every time you say that I always think of the. The gift. [00:17:50] Speaker A: Well yeah, everything I say is a meme and or a pun. [00:17:55] Speaker B: You know just an Adam driver just going good soup I will send. [00:18:01] Speaker A: I'm gonna make you guys. Do you guys want a cheetahs elixir? It gives you a plus 5 foot status bonus to your speed for a minute in case you need to run a little bit faster. [00:18:11] Speaker G: That would be for Alistair. [00:18:13] Speaker C: Yeah, I was gonna say that would be for Alistair and even then I don't think Alistair could actually keep up with le and me. [00:18:20] Speaker A: We're like help I guess a little bit. [00:18:22] Speaker C: Alistair is like 20 I think or 25 on a good day. So I don't know. [00:18:28] Speaker F: I mean worse comes to worse I can haste myself. [00:18:33] Speaker C: It's also true. What other potions can you make tick? [00:18:36] Speaker A: Surprisingly I've not upgraded my potions in a while because I've been dead inside. So I'm going to give you guys this and then like three health potions cuz again I need to do that. [00:18:46] Speaker D: Oh, I already did do that. Never mind. Whoop. When did I do that? Well ta da. Sorry, I forgot I was not muted. [00:19:01] Speaker F: I'm apparently very damaged and have no spell slots so let me fix that real quick. [00:19:09] Speaker C: Alistair spent all his downtime fighting in the pits. [00:19:16] Speaker B: You know the. The fighting pits that Johnny used to run? [00:19:21] Speaker D: No, they're not. [00:19:23] Speaker C: Bag open right. Like though that I swear closed. I was like. I was like we. We literally killed him. [00:19:28] Speaker D: I was like surprise. I'm going to give LA my detect magic can trip card and also remind her she has some other cantrip cards still. One of which might be ghost sound and one of which might be message. I don't remember which ones laythe has used. But I also know Alyssa never uses their cards, so there's a good chance Laith still has them all. [00:19:57] Speaker G: Unfortunately, I did use message. I have no direction for Bidding Ward, Caustic Blast, and Prestigation. [00:20:04] Speaker D: It's also ghost sound. I have it marked as yours. [00:20:07] Speaker G: Oh, interesting. [00:20:08] Speaker D: But from a later time. It's later on my list, so that means it's not from the original fake message I sent you. It's one that I must have given you another time for some reason. [00:20:17] Speaker G: Oh, cool. [00:20:18] Speaker D: And so now you also have the detect magic cantrip card as well. Please use the detect magic one. [00:20:28] Speaker A: So, okay, we got the going in group of our wonderful moth, milf, Leith and Alistair. We have the distraction group of Yuri specifically in disguise because please do not go outside without a disguise for any point in your life. Heart emoji. I love you. We have possibly Lou in distraction area. Do we want Lou to be very distracting and fun? You want to have sort of revolution, Lou? [00:20:53] Speaker D: Always. [00:20:54] Speaker A: Oh, my God. Beautiful. And do we want Nyla in the distraction group as well? Because I do have sending in case we need to communicate between the groups. [00:21:04] Speaker D: I have message. Which has a. It's not a very long range, though, but I can also send rats after them or little birds. [00:21:15] Speaker A: Yeah, I have messages and I have sending, so sending is like planetary. [00:21:19] Speaker C: Yeah, I was going to say, I think. I think we want to keep our communication away from sending animals into buildings [00:21:28] Speaker A: for now. [00:21:29] Speaker D: People don't want me to have any fun. [00:21:32] Speaker C: I mean, we. We did, but then again, Alistair got a mouth full of poison. [00:21:37] Speaker A: Yeah, maybe the mouse died. Did you think of that? [00:21:40] Speaker D: Yeah, I did. [00:21:41] Speaker C: I'm gonna keep saying mouth because, like, y' all keep forgetting. [00:21:52] Speaker A: Maybe we just want to start killing things. Anyways, I can join the. [00:21:57] Speaker C: To do this. To not cause harm to the school. What is happening here? [00:22:04] Speaker A: You see, the mice aren't part of the school anymore. They were expelled. [00:22:10] Speaker B: I turned the question to what kind of distraction are you wanting to pull? [00:22:17] Speaker E: I think, honestly, the same situation just get people really upset at [00:22:26] Speaker D: night time, though. Shouldn't most people be asleep? [00:22:31] Speaker B: They are students. [00:22:32] Speaker E: They're students. [00:22:33] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:22:33] Speaker A: You think they're gonna sleep? [00:22:35] Speaker C: This is also a dorm school. Like, if you're loud enough, at the very least, they're all gonna wake up. [00:22:40] Speaker E: Yeah, this is sleeping because of y'. [00:22:42] Speaker D: All. [00:22:42] Speaker E: Y' all ain't sleeping because of me. [00:22:44] Speaker D: Well, that feels like the opposite. We don't want to wake them up. [00:22:51] Speaker C: Not really. Because. Because, look, man, the idea. I mean, the. The idea behind the the protest is that there is a murderer that murders people at night out on a dorm school. So at the very least, causing as much as a disturbance because there's, like, TAS and everywhere. Like, that's gonna distract more of the staff as it is also distracting the students. And then obviously there will be some students that are super headstrong. They're like, yeah, wait a minute. I don't want to get murdered [00:23:25] Speaker F: earlier. [00:23:26] Speaker D: Distraction too. [00:23:27] Speaker B: Weird question. Are any good at illusions? Maybe surprise new victim. [00:23:35] Speaker A: I'm good at making real victims, but I'm not good at illusions. [00:23:38] Speaker C: I really don't think we should be making a surprise new victim. [00:23:42] Speaker D: I was just gonna say, can we pull the quote, unquote fire alarm? [00:23:49] Speaker E: Just start a fire. [00:23:50] Speaker A: You'll fire. [00:23:51] Speaker D: Real fire. [00:23:52] Speaker C: I was mad. Pull the alarm, man. These cultists coming in to take their own sounds way, way safer. [00:23:59] Speaker A: Now it's. [00:24:02] Speaker B: I am. [00:24:10] Speaker C: The whole point of our protest is that they're inconsistent. Convenient. [00:24:13] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:24:14] Speaker E: Protest could work, I think. I still think the protest is a good idea because getting all the students, like, up and riled and, like, yuri could bring some of our crew just, like, just say they're students. I mean, they were all adults, so it's not like they're trying to be high schoolers. Like Beverly Hills 9210. [00:24:35] Speaker B: Yeah, this is. They are. This is a college. So they are all adult age. [00:24:40] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [00:24:41] Speaker B: And honestly, the. The blades are pretty close to that age range. [00:24:46] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that. I think the idea is the same thing. [00:24:52] Speaker C: Okay, wait, wait, wait. Now, which blades? Because this is your fault. Blades. Bloody blades. You gotta say bloody blades or else I'm gonna be like, what are. What is late the Drisi the fourth or whatever. How. [00:25:03] Speaker G: How old is she again? [00:25:04] Speaker D: What do you mean? [00:25:05] Speaker B: College? [00:25:05] Speaker E: Actually, you see, old. [00:25:09] Speaker A: You see, she kept failing college, so she wasn't allowed to graduate. [00:25:12] Speaker E: Correct. [00:25:13] Speaker B: The bloody blades, they are all roughly the same age as a lot of the people at Ravenswood. So they could help be protesters. [00:25:24] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. So let's do that. I think that's still a good plan because it's going to get people, everyone either distracted looking out their windows. Are people, like, joining in and causing a problem for the faculty and, hey, [00:25:39] Speaker A: this is a joke. But if we ever need a human body as, like, a fake victim. This is a joke. Just let me know. This is a joke [00:25:48] Speaker G: so that you can take it out of your pantry. Yeah, [00:25:55] Speaker C: see how they didn't say this is a joke after that one. [00:26:02] Speaker A: Kick with the groin? [00:26:06] Speaker E: I have more Dumb ideas. But I think we should just keep it simple. [00:26:09] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah, It's. The less. The simpler a plan is, the less chances it has to up, theoretically. So I'm going to start with the distraction team. And this is gonna work like a skill challenge. How do you want to go about this? [00:26:37] Speaker A: How brutal do we want to be? Like, not towards the students, but you want to be like, they're just gonna leave. They're not gonna find this murder. They're just letting a murderer out on campus. Oh, my God. I'm gonna start. I don't be like, hi, do you want to politely join a riot? [00:26:51] Speaker E: No, no, we have to call them out loudly because if we. If we go to the extreme, people are going to either be surprised, are like, immediately like gut reaction joined in on it. Okay, so, yeah, I think Yuri disguised as, like, a different student. Tig, do you know bullhorn dispel? [00:27:15] Speaker A: No, I. Hold on a second. Is a mental spell. I could learn it. [00:27:19] Speaker B: It's a cantrip. [00:27:20] Speaker E: It's a cantrip. [00:27:21] Speaker A: I don't have that cantrip, but let me check my thing. If I could actually pick up a cantrip temporarily, [00:27:31] Speaker E: I think it's an arcane cantrip. [00:27:34] Speaker B: Tick. Spell list is a cult. [00:27:38] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't have it, but if it's a mental spell on my spell list, I can temporarily learn it because of my thing. I'm a jigger. [00:27:46] Speaker B: It just sort of. I don't think it's mental because it just makes your voice louder. [00:27:52] Speaker A: I don't think I'd have it then. [00:27:54] Speaker C: Does one of our. Does one of our bloody blades people that we're bringing have it? [00:28:02] Speaker E: Yes, it's on the occult spell list. Auditory can trip, concentrate, illusion, manipulate. [00:28:08] Speaker B: I will say that because it is a can trip that one of the. One of the bloody blades does happen. [00:28:14] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. [00:28:15] Speaker C: Okay. [00:28:16] Speaker E: Are they. Are they the same level as us? Because then we can make people hear clearly within 1200ft. [00:28:23] Speaker B: They're a little bit like lower level than you, but still cool. Then. [00:28:28] Speaker E: Yeah, I think Yuri goes actually to where the fountain is, I think, because that's. Is that kind of like a central area where the dorms are? [00:28:38] Speaker B: Yeah, okay. [00:28:39] Speaker E: Yeah, I think, yeah. Yuri starts going off like, saying that this school is not protecting their students. How many people have died with their students and are like our government? Not taking care of us, not protecting us? We are the future of Malacca and they're killing us in the streets. [00:29:05] Speaker B: This game isn't topical at all. [00:29:08] Speaker E: Pots and pans being slammed. So we would be here but also with Foghorn. No bullhorn. Actually, it. Yes. But I really want to say specifically, I'm saying in a very angry tone and to make any people that I'm talking intimidate, intimidated. [00:29:37] Speaker B: You don't want to give me an intimidation room. And then the other. The other two of you are going along, you can roll to assist. [00:29:45] Speaker A: I would love to assist on an intimidation role by just being really scary looking and also just cheering on. You're like, yeah, yeah. You know, like, yeah, I agree with you. There's people in this crowd that do, in fact, agree with you, even though it's a small crowd. [00:29:59] Speaker C: You know, I like the idea that at some point of the day today we were like, arts and crafts time and we made posters. [00:30:08] Speaker E: Honestly, that's super easy to do. [00:30:10] Speaker C: It's. It's super cute. I mean, like, you might as well, right? It's a part of the damn distraction. But I just think that was a cute, fun activity. And there's one poster that is. Or sign, whatever that is to say suspiciously written because graveling can't write. And it's just like, what if I just put a big X on the board? [00:30:32] Speaker A: Suspiciously. One of them looks surprisingly well done. Because crafting is just a skill in this game that it's not cooking, but it is what it is. [00:30:42] Speaker C: How we figure out which one. [00:30:43] Speaker A: Why did I get a nat20 to help you. [00:30:45] Speaker D: So did I. Oh, my God. [00:30:49] Speaker E: I mean, I rolled a 16, so it's a 31 prior to. [00:30:54] Speaker B: Plus an extra 4. [00:30:55] Speaker E: Two for each 35. [00:30:58] Speaker B: 35. [00:30:58] Speaker A: I rolled higher than you. You suck. I'm kidding. [00:31:01] Speaker D: Literally, what I rolled was a 35. [00:31:03] Speaker A: I roll a 37. You're not scary enough. I'm just messing with you. [00:31:07] Speaker D: No, I'm a better liar, though. [00:31:09] Speaker A: Weirdly. [00:31:11] Speaker B: Weirdly, yeah. [00:31:13] Speaker D: As long as I'm not stressing about it. [00:31:18] Speaker B: So, yeah, you. You get this started. You probably start earlier in the day than, like, when the heist is supposed to start, so you can maybe ramp up a little bit before the actual heist starts. And it's a lot easier than you were expecting to get these students on your side and protesting with you. [00:31:42] Speaker D: Oh, we also have a plus one circumstance bonus from drinking with the pirates. [00:31:48] Speaker A: That was only for the pirates. [00:31:49] Speaker C: That was only for the pirates. [00:31:51] Speaker D: Yeah, that was only for the pirates. [00:31:52] Speaker C: It was only when we were dealing with the pirates. We get the plus one. Yeah. [00:31:56] Speaker A: Hey, if there's any pirates in the crowd, though, we got a plus one for them. Is that like a. [00:32:01] Speaker D: Anytime we deal with the Pirates. We get a plus one or just that one time? [00:32:05] Speaker G: We got a plus one. [00:32:06] Speaker B: It was that one time. But if you're ever doing negotiations with them again and you do drink, he will get that plus one again. [00:32:13] Speaker A: Gotcha. [00:32:13] Speaker D: Okay. Because we got it, like at the end of the scene, so I assumed it was like a forward thing. Okay, never mind. Carry on. [00:32:20] Speaker B: Yeah. So you all are doing this and sort of whipping up a bit of a fervor on campus. And you are seeing that, like, also quite a few of the other students are scared and concerned. Concerned as to what is going on and what the faculty is or isn't doing. And by the time the heist starts, you've. You've probably pulled in. We'll say rolling a D100 for this roll. [00:32:54] Speaker A: 69. It'll be funny. [00:32:56] Speaker B: 84. 84 students, [00:33:01] Speaker C: majority. [00:33:02] Speaker A: Nice. [00:33:03] Speaker G: Damn. [00:33:05] Speaker C: Well, I mean, one would hope that they would care about living in the place that they have to pay to be at. Like, come on. [00:33:15] Speaker B: Yeah. And turn to you and the heist crew if you all want to give me stealth rolls. As you sort of sneak your way in, you're able to find a sort of an entrance that is usually moved supplies in and out of [00:33:36] Speaker F: that is a 35. [00:33:38] Speaker G: 34. [00:33:42] Speaker C: One second. I actually rolled pretty well. 31. [00:33:53] Speaker B: Right. So essentially the way you're. Everything is going to work is you're going to start in sort of like near the bottom of the school, and you're going to have to slowly make your way up and then across to the tower that the headmaster's office is in. So you start going up first and you're going up through this specific wing that has mostly classrooms in it. So. So by the time this is going on, most of the teachers have left by this point. Can everybody roll me a perception check? [00:34:34] Speaker C: I'm just going to use a hero point on this. [00:34:37] Speaker G: Oh, no. I rolled bad. And I was counting on Aki. [00:34:41] Speaker C: The hero point made it good. Okay. Because I rolled a nap one on the first time. I'm not taking any nap one. So here, like, if I rolled bad, I was like, that's okay. But now not that bad. Where is it? [00:35:01] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. [00:35:01] Speaker C: Okay. What am I doing? Dirty 30. [00:35:04] Speaker F: 32, 24. [00:35:09] Speaker B: So you're working your way through these hallways, and that's when you spot it. A name plate next to a door for an office. It says Professor Osmot Tallis. He still has his office here. [00:35:28] Speaker C: Should we check it out? I don't see the name plate because I can't read [00:35:36] Speaker B: bear, [00:35:40] Speaker F: but all three [00:35:40] Speaker B: of you do see it. [00:35:45] Speaker F: I will read it out loud to you. [00:35:53] Speaker C: Nah, crown first. If we have time, then I don't want to waste time in there. [00:36:00] Speaker B: Okay. [00:36:05] Speaker G: Surely they've already gone through it for anything interesting already. [00:36:11] Speaker C: Also, we did make a promise to a very powerful wizard to only take what we said we'd take [00:36:22] Speaker G: from his. [00:36:22] Speaker F: Yeah, but I got a whisker for trouble, and I have a feeling maybe we should check it out. But on our way back. [00:36:33] Speaker C: On our way back if we got time. [00:36:41] Speaker B: So if you continue on leaving the door for now, I'm going to need another stealth check. [00:36:52] Speaker F: So close almost to 20. 38. [00:36:58] Speaker C: I'm so glad I swapped dice because I got scared of my other dice, so I just went and grabbed another pair, I think. 32. [00:37:10] Speaker G: 30. [00:37:11] Speaker C: Yeah, 32. [00:37:14] Speaker B: Hey, you all are keeping to the shadows, moving quietly, and so far have not come across any faculty or teachers or security. Maybe that's a little weird in and of itself, but who knows? And give me another perception check. [00:37:41] Speaker F: 31. [00:37:46] Speaker C: 23 was bad this time. [00:37:48] Speaker G: 27. [00:37:53] Speaker B: It's sort of. You've taken a moment to, like, just get your bearings because the school itself is very maze like there are essentially is. You're having to take this incredibly securitous route to get to there, hopefully, you know, through ways that people aren't looking at. So you're sort of taking a moment reorienting yourself. Alistair. When you hear the voices, you hear two people talking. You hear after a moment, you're like, that's the headmaster. You hear him say to someone, I am not subjecting any more of my students to your obscene experiments. And then you hear in response, a gruffer, deeper voice. Say, growing conscience. [00:38:56] Speaker E: Now, [00:38:59] Speaker B: whatever happened to doing whatever you needed to to stop all of this? And then you hear the headmaster say, I've seen what you do to them. I cannot be party to this anymore. This is not what we wanted when we established the holy blood. [00:39:28] Speaker F: I will. As I'm hearing this, I will kind of whisper, like, just generally what I'm hearing and be like, we may want to go, because this is. This sounds like a conversation that's not going to. To end well for one of these people. And there may be useful information to be had. [00:40:11] Speaker D: Can I ask a question out of character? [00:40:14] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:40:15] Speaker D: Most of us have heard the voice of Elias Gore in our prologues, including many of the people present in this scene. Do they recognize this voice as Elias Gore? [00:40:26] Speaker B: Yes, they would. [00:40:29] Speaker C: Ferris asked the question I was gonna ask. So. Does this hall. Okay, so this is a hallway there any doors here that lead to rooms? I'm suggesting magical supply closet. Magical janitor's closet. This is a magical school, but everything's still dirty. [00:40:55] Speaker B: Yeah. There. There is a. A magical supply closet. This is an actual magical supply. This is for. You're in sort of a class where a lot of evocation spells are and some people need magical components. So the essentially the storage closet is filled with magical components components. [00:41:20] Speaker C: Cool. I want to hide in there for the potential to continue to ease drop on this. But also like to stay out of sight. [00:41:34] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:41:35] Speaker B: Tell all of you go back into the closet. [00:41:41] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:41:42] Speaker F: Yep. [00:41:43] Speaker A: From our place. [00:41:44] Speaker G: So long from our place hidden in the closet. Is it able, is it possible to discern how genuine the headmaster is being in these protests? [00:41:58] Speaker B: Yeah. Give me another perception check. [00:42:03] Speaker G: 32. [00:42:08] Speaker B: Yeah, 32. The headmaster, Andreas sounds very angry and very much like he's reached a. His breaking point. [00:42:26] Speaker G: It's actually a 33 if that matters because of my sword. But it's fine if it doesn't matter. [00:42:33] Speaker B: But you still get the same information. [00:42:35] Speaker G: Yeah. Cool. Well, that's good to know. [00:42:45] Speaker C: But in the blackmail pocket, what else are they saying? [00:42:49] Speaker B: You hear Gor reply saying, you are aware that I don't need your permission. Cygnus at this point will give me whatever I want, but if I need more test subjects, I will have them. And then you hear Andreas say, if you step foot on this campus with the intent of stealing any of my students, I will smite you where you stand. Gore. And then you hear Gorr say, we'll see about that. You start to hear heavy footfalls heading in an opposite direction. [00:43:50] Speaker C: When it sounds like they're gone, I'll give the the rest of the heist team like a. Like a thumbs up. And then I will peek out first before stepping out. Just kind of make sure the coast is clear. I'm in full grave wing fit, by the way, because it's easier if one of us gets caught. It's totally fine if it's me. It's like very expected at this point. [00:44:29] Speaker B: As you step out, you don't see or hear the headmaster or Elias Gore. [00:44:44] Speaker C: I'll motion for the rest to follow so we can hurry up and get this thing. [00:44:52] Speaker G: Yeah, following. [00:44:55] Speaker B: I you all head off towards the headmaster's office. I'm going to jump back to the people running the protest. If you would all like to give me another role. [00:45:17] Speaker G: Sorry, this is perception or stealth. [00:45:20] Speaker B: It's the. The intimidation roll from the protest group. [00:45:23] Speaker G: Oh, this is the outside people. Sorry. [00:45:24] Speaker B: Yeah, it's the outside people. [00:45:27] Speaker E: I'm gonna use hero point for that role because it was a five. [00:45:33] Speaker D: So did I. And the hero point was not very clear. [00:45:37] Speaker A: We keep intimidating kind of a little bit. [00:45:41] Speaker E: Yes. Yes. [00:45:44] Speaker D: Are we still. Yuri is intimidating and we're just helping. [00:45:52] Speaker B: Yes, that's. That's how we'll do it. [00:45:54] Speaker A: I would like to use a hero point. Cuz I did bad. [00:45:57] Speaker D: No, we all use hero points. I'm gonna give Yuri guidance. And also I got a 21 with the hero point. [00:46:05] Speaker A: I got a 19 without the hero point. So hopefully it can roll higher than a two. [00:46:09] Speaker D: One would help. [00:46:11] Speaker A: Oh, I did. Yeah. That's a 32. Oh my God. Wow. [00:46:13] Speaker E: Nice. [00:46:14] Speaker D: I'm so scared. [00:46:14] Speaker E: I got an 18 on my dice. So that's 34 plus guidance is 35 plus whatever other on the. [00:46:29] Speaker B: I. Yeah you for a moment. You're wondering if you have done too well at this of whipping up people into a fervor. Another 50 people join the protest. And can I have you all give me perception checks? [00:46:59] Speaker E: I'm going to give the other two people a freebie. Yuri is very happy that there's so many people out here. [00:47:08] Speaker A: I got a 26 which was surprisingly good for me. [00:47:12] Speaker E: For perception. Fucking. What's Smith 33 for Yuri. [00:47:29] Speaker B: You all at some point in the middle of your protest spot Elias Gore leaving campus. [00:47:41] Speaker D: Unless you rolled incredibly bad. I don't think I did. [00:47:45] Speaker B: He's not trying to hide. [00:47:48] Speaker A: Okay. [00:47:53] Speaker B: I think you Morris clock him. Is just a Holy blood member. Alouette, you recognize the get up. The other two were like that's that motherfucker. [00:48:04] Speaker A: I'm gonna look at Yuri like do we do something? [00:48:08] Speaker E: Bad idea to do something. [00:48:10] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:48:11] Speaker E: Could I send one of people that are with our crew to like that are us. They're stealthy to attack behind them. Like. Like, like follow them but not like not be super obvious. [00:48:32] Speaker B: You could. Yeah. [00:48:36] Speaker A: Should we tell the inside group that we saw him leaving? [00:48:39] Speaker E: I mean we can. I also like well okay, I'm going to. Yuri will look at the other two and we'll look at Alouette slash Lou because that's really their conscience and just say should we have someone follow Gore? That's Gore right over there. [00:48:56] Speaker D: Oh I. I did not realize. I don't know what purpose it would do. He's. We already know he is evil and terrible. He's probably going back to the early blood to do something evil and terrible. Do we need the specifics right now or do we have enough on our Plate. Okay, we can't do this tonight. Whatever it is. [00:49:16] Speaker E: Wait, wait, wait, wait. Okay. Consider we get everyone angry at him because he's supposed to be protecting the [00:49:22] Speaker D: students, not him specifically. That. I. I don't think it is the only. But that is doing that. I thought it was like the coin guard. [00:49:33] Speaker A: Let's not stray too far from what we plan. Because the more we start picking pieces out of our project is the more it might make things more difficult for the people inside. Let's. I'll tell them we're sending what we saw and call it a day. [00:49:44] Speaker D: Besides, we cannot go after him without Vittorio. Because that was like, a condition Vittorio asked for to not be being like an evil or Elizabeth. He wants to kill Gord. Is it? Okay, fine. [00:50:00] Speaker A: So I will actually use sunding, if that's all right with you guys to tell Grave Wing because she's the most competent person that's going inside. I mean, don't laugh. [00:50:10] Speaker D: We need to tell them. We don't need to distract them. He's not in there. Now, that's. This is a thing for when they are done. It is not pressing information. [00:50:23] Speaker A: I'm worried if he comes back. [00:50:26] Speaker D: Why he's leaving. [00:50:27] Speaker A: I don't know. If you don't think it's important to tell them. I cannot tell them, but I think it would be important for them to know that Elias Gore was in the building. [00:50:40] Speaker D: I think it will only distract them. All right. [00:50:44] Speaker A: I'll trust your judgment on this. [00:50:46] Speaker D: What does that mean? They are out. [00:50:47] Speaker E: Yuri is upset by this. Like, just like, lightly, because they really want to kick his ass, but just starts yelling, no justice, no peace. No justice, no peace. [00:50:59] Speaker A: Handle your anger to the sin eater this time. [00:51:05] Speaker B: Yeah, so you all will notice this, and things are whipping up in a way that this could easily spill over into a riot. [00:51:22] Speaker D: I don't know. Let them. [00:51:28] Speaker B: I feel like pros and cons of each. [00:51:30] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. They're not incorrect. [00:51:36] Speaker A: I'm. I mean, we don't even know if we have the crown yet or how long we have to keep this up. [00:51:42] Speaker D: That's also true. [00:51:43] Speaker A: I mean, I sure could ask them if you'd like. [00:51:46] Speaker E: Yeah, that's simple. I mean, you can just ask them. You. You're the one with the magic. [00:51:51] Speaker A: Okay, now I'll use sending. I say is I actually saved a slot from not doing something silly, I guess. [00:51:58] Speaker C: Yippee. [00:51:59] Speaker A: And I trust Grave Wing. And I got 25 words, so distractions going extreme. Do you have the crown? There's going to be a riot soon. Let us know an eta. I guess that's one word because you saw Elias Gore leave the school. Cuz I can sneak it in. [00:52:26] Speaker G: You're telling Grave Wing you could stick it in Elias Score. That doesn't seem relevant. [00:52:31] Speaker A: Damn. I tick will be sticking something in Elias Score at this rate soon, if you know what I mean. [00:52:36] Speaker E: Oh, what kind of nose do they got? [00:52:40] Speaker C: Wait, what the. Dang. [00:52:42] Speaker G: That's a my. That's a me thing. [00:52:43] Speaker C: How dare you. How dare you. How dare you. This maroon 5 looking ass. How dare you. [00:52:56] Speaker B: So, inside crew, give me one more stealth roll. [00:53:03] Speaker C: No, I'll keep. Because we just got the hero point. I'll keep that one for now. [00:53:08] Speaker F: 26, 36, 28 lowest yet. [00:53:18] Speaker B: Yeah, you all are a little distracted by. At some point, you are crossing over this bridge between these two towers and you look down through one of the windows and see the protest is going very well. And. But you're sort of watching as it's sort of whipping up into a froth of people very angry and upset as to what's going on. And it is you. You can all see for yourselves that this is quickly becoming a riot. And. And it's probably about that time when you get the message from Nile as you're sort of heading up the staircase to the tower where the headmaster's office is. [00:54:13] Speaker D: Am I allowed? [00:54:14] Speaker C: Can I reply back? [00:54:16] Speaker B: Yes, you have up to 25 words. [00:54:18] Speaker C: 25 words to reply back. [00:54:20] Speaker A: Okay. [00:54:26] Speaker C: Also, saw him. No crown yet. Control it. [00:54:41] Speaker A: Okay, I'll pass the info on everyone else and be like, we have to contain this riot for at least a little bit longer before it gets overblown. [00:54:50] Speaker F: I will message Yuri and be like, fight the power. [00:54:58] Speaker G: Good. Correct. [00:55:06] Speaker A: What distracts people? Lou, can you play like a song or something? Maybe that'll do. What do people like? Beans. [00:55:14] Speaker D: Beans? [00:55:15] Speaker B: What? [00:55:16] Speaker D: Yeah, I mean, I can play as a bell, but I don't know if that's gonna be calming. Not everyone likes just Belle. [00:55:27] Speaker C: Y' all don't know any songs. Come on. [00:55:30] Speaker D: I know a lot of songs, but I don't have my full set with me. I mean, I can start singing, but it wasn't really good enough to get into the city choir, so they're probably going to throw things. [00:55:40] Speaker E: I think Yuri is just going to. With the. The bullhorn active, hopefully just start yelling at the students and maybe like, are there any visible, like, coin guard faculty, whoever, nearby? [00:55:59] Speaker B: You can certainly see the Coin Guard. They. They've kind of. They are very much keeping an eye on everything kind of surrounding you. And trying to keep you in one very specific area so that this doesn't spill over into other parts of campus. Not, like, pushing back, but they've. They've clearly, like, formed a perimeter. [00:56:24] Speaker E: I think Yuri will then just kind of like. Like, stand on the ledge of the fountain. So even if they chose a person that's taller than Yuri, they'd still, like, want to be, like, able to be seen. And we'll start saying, look at what every. All of you could do. You could see that you all have the actual power here to demand what needs to be done. We need to make sure that this campus is a place for learning and not a place for whatever is happening. Now, you can see that they're scared, but to show them what we need to be do, we need to organize, not catastrophize. You know, more chanting after that and getting people to just get. They want to get everyone into a chant to kind of, like, unify the people. [00:57:32] Speaker B: I. It does sound like you want to use a diplomacy for this rather than intimidation. Like, [00:57:40] Speaker G: yeah, unfortunately, [00:57:45] Speaker E: I'll. I'll roll it. Especially with untrained improvisation. My beloved. I'm gonna roll cousin dice to channel Lou because Lou's better at diplomacy. Sl. That's a nat 20. Let's go for 31. But. [00:58:12] Speaker B: So, yeah, you. You do try and, like, you're able to sort of reign things in a little bit and try and it. People are still excited and hyped up and angry, but you're focusing that rather than letting it all sort of just flow over and become a riot. All of you heading up the tower, you can hear as someone, maybe Lou is leading everybody in a song. [00:58:43] Speaker D: Sure. Let's go. It's singing time. We're singing K Pop Demon hunter. [00:58:51] Speaker A: We're no strangers to love you and so do I by a great song leader, Nick Rastle. [00:59:04] Speaker C: I hope we get struck down [00:59:09] Speaker A: by what? Copyright or God. [00:59:11] Speaker D: Yeah, all of them. [00:59:13] Speaker A: Okay, [00:59:17] Speaker B: so the three on the sneaking team have found themselves in front of. To Alistair, a very familiar door. [00:59:30] Speaker F: Y' all can open this one. [00:59:36] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:59:36] Speaker G: Le will step forward with her lockpicks and attempts to open the door, ignoring or avoiding the. Wait, does this one. Was this one locked or it was just open and it poisoned you? [00:59:49] Speaker B: It is locked, too. [00:59:50] Speaker A: Okay. [00:59:52] Speaker B: Yeah, Yeah. [00:59:58] Speaker G: She will open, attempt to lock, pick it, and attempt to avoid the trap. Now that she knows it's there, That is. [01:00:10] Speaker C: I'm not sure how to help but, like, is there. I don't know a way to. If the trap springs, I can like, block it with my hand. [01:00:24] Speaker F: Don't even think about it. That's what I did. [01:00:28] Speaker B: You try to catch it? [01:00:30] Speaker F: Yes. [01:00:32] Speaker B: The trap will spring. That's the thing. You're aware that. That he has left that one active? [01:00:41] Speaker C: Oh, I have. I'm a wind kineticist. Could I, like, trap it in, like, Subway doesn't even spread to the hallway. [01:00:50] Speaker B: Sure, yeah, it's gonna. [01:00:51] Speaker C: It's. It was gas, right? I'm assuming it was gas. How. It was a needle. All right, y', all, never mind. Womp, womp. It's gonna happen. [01:01:01] Speaker B: Well, if you want to disable the trap first, you can do a thievery check. And then followed by a thief recheck to unlock the door. [01:01:09] Speaker G: Okay, yeah, if we can disable it, we'll try to do that first. But that was only. [01:01:12] Speaker B: We can do that. [01:01:13] Speaker G: That was only a 29, so I don't know if I can actually. [01:01:20] Speaker B: You are. Have identified the mechanism. If you want to try again. You did not trip it because you didn't critically fail. [01:01:27] Speaker G: Okay, good. That's the nat one. I'm going to use a hero point. [01:01:39] Speaker A: Did you fail twice? I mean, probably. [01:01:42] Speaker G: I got a one and then I got a two, so the two makes it a 21. [01:01:47] Speaker A: I swear to God, I'm gonna piss on your homework. [01:01:49] Speaker B: Yeah, unfortunately, that is a critical failure. And I need you to give me a reflex save because you know this needle's coming. [01:02:06] Speaker F: Can she get us or can get apologies? Can they get a circumstance bonus? Because they know exactly what the trap is and where it's coming from. Since they've been warned. [01:02:17] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. [01:02:19] Speaker C: I was like, could we. Could we just pull them back like we know. [01:02:23] Speaker B: I imagine that's. That's part of the. Part of the circumstance bonus of you pulling Leith back. [01:02:29] Speaker G: Okay, so then that's a 40 reflex. [01:02:31] Speaker B: 40. Yeah. No, you're able to. You watch as this needle sort of springs out and sort of hits and embeds itself into the. Like, the wood of the door frame, like centimeters from where your hand was. [01:02:48] Speaker G: Leith sort of tosses her hair back and pockets that and acts as if this was her disarming the trap the whole time. And she did this because she wanted to take the poison. [01:03:01] Speaker B: This is a very potent poison. [01:03:04] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:03:09] Speaker B: And yeah, then you give me a thief check to unlock the door. [01:03:16] Speaker G: Dice are not happy today. That is a 24. [01:03:20] Speaker B: 24. It takes you several more minutes than you. Than it honestly should. Maybe the adrenaline is getting to you at this point, but you're able to eventually. You hear the pop of the lock and the door will swing open and you will see the headmaster's office. It itself is grand in. In a word, you see shelves full of books, tomes on so many eras of history and theories and subjects. You see a magnificent wood desk that you guess he sits at. There is like a trophy case along one way, wall filled of various things from his time as an adventurer. And one of those things is the crown. [01:04:18] Speaker G: Yeah. I think that Leith will look for sort of traps as we move throughout the room and will encourage other people to also keep an eye out because she does not trust this man. [01:04:36] Speaker C: I didn't trust this man, period. Like I. I want to look for traps and as well, but also. Ah, well, anything incriminating would be great. [01:04:53] Speaker B: Alistair, is there anything that you are looking for specifically in his office? [01:05:01] Speaker F: You could see me thinking, couldn't you? I think I will assist. Yeah. I will assist Grave Wing in trying to find anything specifically now that we've overheard that conversation. Anything incriminating regarding his relationship with Elias. [01:05:35] Speaker B: If everybody wants to give me. If you're looking around the office, it'll be perception checks. If you are working on getting the crown out of the trophy case, It'll be another three free. [01:05:46] Speaker E: Check. [01:05:50] Speaker C: What's the incriminating evidence? Evidence check. Okay. [01:05:53] Speaker B: Perception [01:05:56] Speaker G: 32. Well, should I do a perception first to like confirm the traps or not? [01:06:02] Speaker B: Traps, yes. You can do that. [01:06:05] Speaker G: Okay. [01:06:08] Speaker C: I got a NAT20 for incriminating evidence, so I don't know. [01:06:12] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah, I was debating doing a reroll on that 28, but I think we'll take your NAT 20. [01:06:23] Speaker C: I saw and I was like, don't worry about it, I got you. But yeah, the nat 20 would be 34. Nice. [01:06:34] Speaker G: I got a 32 for both perception and for theory. [01:06:40] Speaker B: Yeah, 32. You can easily tell that the trophy case that this specific crown it is in, he's not trapped like he promised. And the 32 is enough to pop that lock and open it. And there is the forged crown. [01:07:00] Speaker G: Sweet. I will take it without attuning it to the talisman because I want to go back to Talus's office and maybe steal something from there. [01:07:16] Speaker B: Yeah. So yeah, you two do feel this crown. And it's beautiful in a macabre way. This perfect replica still even has the floating blood in the crystals. And you put it in your bag and Gravewing and Alistair, you're sort of looking and you both kind of spot it at the same time. You spot it first, Gravewing. But Alistair, you can truly see what Gravewing has spotted there's a old leather bound notebook on this shelf and you see in gold lettering on it the last name of Valere. [01:08:13] Speaker C: I poke Alistar. What the hell is that? [01:08:19] Speaker B: I don't know. Let's see. [01:08:22] Speaker F: I do not have detect magic prepared. [01:08:26] Speaker G: Oh, I have a detect magic Kendrik card. You if he mentioned anything about it. [01:08:30] Speaker C: Yeah, no, as soon as Alistair says I don't know, I go Leif. [01:08:36] Speaker B: It is a notebook. It is like a journal on like the bookshelf. [01:08:42] Speaker F: I'm just worried about it being magically booby trapped. I will take a look at it before picking it up just to make sure that's not trapped. Trapped. Oh wow. There's my 3838. [01:09:03] Speaker B: No, none of the bookshelves do appear to be trapped in any way. It's just things that are in the display cases. You see in the display cases themselves you see weapons, armor, a sort of a rock is the best way to put it. Sort of this gemstone in itself when you're looking at it is this gemstone that is in a. The shape of an anatomically correct heart in one of these display cases and. But the bookcases themselves, no traps. So it's safe to pull this journal off the shelf. [01:09:48] Speaker F: Yeah, I will. I will pull it out and start thumbing through it very quickly. Like do we want to take this? He will definitely notice if this one's gone. [01:10:07] Speaker G: I was gonna ask if I could use the detect magic card on it. [01:10:11] Speaker B: Yeah, you can. The book itself is not enchanted in any way. It appears to be a notebook, an old leather bound notebook. But itself there is a lot of magical things around here, so it's kind of easy to pick out the things that aren't magic. [01:10:32] Speaker G: Great. I will attune the talisman to this I. [01:10:38] Speaker B: This book as you're flipping through is very clear that Andreas did all of the preliminary studies on the Valere curse. All of this notebook. All of this notebook is dedicated to his study of what Vittorio did and how it affected him and possible ways it could be repurposed and used. [01:11:17] Speaker F: I will share this information. Should we take it [01:11:24] Speaker G: with this talisman? We can take it later. We'll give him a day or two to check his office, make sure nothing is missing and then we take it. [01:11:41] Speaker C: Sounds good. At least we know where it is or that it it's here and exists. [01:11:51] Speaker F: Okay, I will put it back. Oh man, I wish I had that copy book spell and let's but let we should go check out the other office as well, [01:12:11] Speaker C: Yeah, we got some time. Not too much though. [01:12:16] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:12:17] Speaker G: How's it sound? [01:12:22] Speaker B: Give me another diplomacy check Yuri, and see how well you can you sort of refocus the riot. [01:12:30] Speaker E: Two in a row. Are you sure? [01:12:34] Speaker B: Yes. [01:12:35] Speaker E: Okay. [01:12:37] Speaker D: Are we still rolling help checks or. No. [01:12:40] Speaker B: You can if you would like. [01:12:42] Speaker E: Please, please, please. [01:12:49] Speaker D: Diploma s there. 28 to help. Is. Is. [01:12:57] Speaker E: Is Nile helping? [01:13:01] Speaker C: I will help. [01:13:02] Speaker A: Persuasion. Right? [01:13:04] Speaker E: Diplomacy. [01:13:06] Speaker A: I'm gonna pee myself. [01:13:09] Speaker D: That's not helpful. [01:13:11] Speaker C: That's all. Also something furries do. [01:13:14] Speaker A: I swear to God. [01:13:15] Speaker F: God Damn it. [01:13:17] Speaker A: Dirty 30 you. [01:13:20] Speaker E: Oh yeah. Well that's going to help my 26 total. [01:13:25] Speaker A: Oh no, [01:13:27] Speaker D: it's. [01:13:29] Speaker B: You're. You're having a little trouble keeping hold of it. It's for the time being. Staying a protest and not going into a riot. [01:13:39] Speaker D: I'm gonna try to organize it into just. We're all having. We're having choir right now. It is choir time [01:13:48] Speaker B: for the time being. You're managing to keep control of it. So the people sneaking. You kind of hear as things like K Crescendo like the song is a little too energetic. People start to get a little edgy and. And then they managed to pull it back. But it was pretty close to breaking out into a riot. Again. [01:14:13] Speaker A: This is more stressful than gambling. [01:14:19] Speaker G: Sounds like they're holding for now. I think we have time to look into Tallis office. [01:14:29] Speaker C: I just don't want this to go into a full blown riot. They will kill these people for less and then they'll blame it on us. [01:14:44] Speaker B: Or the team inside. Give me a another stealth check to sneak back to the office. [01:14:58] Speaker C: I watched my dice go from a 1 to like a 15 on the die. So. Did I just almost shit myself? [01:15:08] Speaker G: Yeah. [01:15:08] Speaker F: That's a 39. [01:15:11] Speaker G: 31. [01:15:14] Speaker B: Hey. Yeah. Without too much trouble, you all find your way back to Talis's office. [01:15:22] Speaker G: Is the door trapped andor locked? [01:15:24] Speaker B: Give me a perception check. Unless you want to test it with your Bonnie. [01:15:35] Speaker G: I was going to say I only got a 28, so I think I'm going to turn to Alistair and say. Did you want to check this one too? [01:15:46] Speaker F: I give a look of betrayal, but 35. [01:15:54] Speaker B: Check the lock. Yeah, it's locked, but it is not trapped. [01:16:01] Speaker F: You're all good. [01:16:05] Speaker G: Okay. We will try to lock the gate. That is a. That can't be right. Is that right? Oh yeah, that makes sense. 38. [01:16:24] Speaker B: 38 it. This one. This lock. Far easier does it? Only takes you less than a minute to unlock it and you're able to enter this office the first Thing you'll notice is that it has been a while since anyone's been in here. It is a little dusty. [01:16:46] Speaker G: Are there any tracks in the dust indicating that anyone's been in here at all or that things have been moved around? [01:16:57] Speaker B: There are no tracks in the dust, and it doesn't look like anything has been moved around that you can tell. [01:17:05] Speaker G: Great. [01:17:07] Speaker F: Means we can take anything. [01:17:12] Speaker C: Yeah. Be careful what you touch. Not about to trust little genocide in any of his things. [01:17:28] Speaker G: If there's a jar with one of the schisms inside of it, even if it looks asleep, you should leave it be. [01:17:39] Speaker B: Not from experience or anything, but those of you who want to check the office give me perception checks. [01:17:52] Speaker C: Could I do a different check? [01:17:54] Speaker B: Yeah. What are you looking for? [01:17:56] Speaker C: Okay, because truthfully, I'm not sure if I'm gonna be any help in some nerd's apartment. I can't read. I'm way more worried about the crowd outside. I'd like to keep an eye on that, so that way I know when we gotta get out, because I don't. If they start. If they. If a riot actually starts. I don't want to be in here while students might potentially be coming inside. No, thanks. Yeah, That also be perception, I guess. [01:18:37] Speaker B: Yes, it would also be a perception. [01:18:43] Speaker F: That's a 34 for Alistair. [01:18:47] Speaker G: Hey. A 33 for Leith. And I think that Leith is specifically looking for either anything about the Valere curse or anything mentioning juniper. [01:18:59] Speaker C: Dirty 30 for graveling, [01:19:05] Speaker B: I think. Graveling. It certainly seems like they have it controlled for now, but who knows how long you have? [01:19:15] Speaker C: That's what I rolled to find out. [01:19:17] Speaker B: Yeah, you've. You've got a few minutes at least, and they may be able to continue. We'll figure out in just a minute how they're. How they're doing after I tell the others what they found. So both of you are looking around. There are a lot of journals in his very specific shorthand, and it's kind of hard to tell if they pertain to Juniper or any of that without translating them. But Alistair, as you are looking around, you do find sort of leaning up against the wall by his desk, a very ornate cane with a ram's head on top. [01:20:04] Speaker D: Ooh. [01:20:06] Speaker F: I pick it up and start looking at it. Then I probably don't spend too much time. I'm just like, ooh, shiny. And so I'm gonna put that in my bag or strap it to my back as more. And let's just. How many books can we hold? [01:20:39] Speaker C: We have a smuggler's bag that acts as a bag of holding. So a handful. But we probably don't want a clear shelf just in case. [01:20:49] Speaker G: As we're looking through. Is there any sort of, like, are journals dated? Is it clear? Clear if there's any sort of. [01:20:56] Speaker B: Yeah, the journals are all very, very dated. Dated, as in, like, he was very specific about always writing the dates. So you can easily find journals that he was using during the time that Juniper would have been there. [01:21:12] Speaker G: Yeah, that is what I would like, please. [01:21:15] Speaker B: Yeah. Let's say you get a small handful of them from during that time. [01:21:21] Speaker G: Do they have the ones backdated to when he would have been working, like, on the bird curse originally or. [01:21:29] Speaker B: No, unfortunately, it does not seem to go that far back. [01:21:35] Speaker G: That's fair. [01:21:41] Speaker B: And yeah, no, there is. There's the cane, there's journals, and unfortunately, any alchemy supplies that might have been kept in here have long gone bad. [01:21:53] Speaker F: Is there any ink? [01:21:59] Speaker B: Ink was probably have gone bad at this point because it's. This room hasn't been opened for, like, five years. [01:22:09] Speaker F: Could it like, not like, for the purposes of. If I wanted to make a mess, could I like purposes, not like I'm attempting to scribe spells Purposes. [01:22:24] Speaker B: Sure, yeah. If you wanted to do that, you could. [01:22:30] Speaker F: Okay, Right before we leave, I'll be like, take as many books as you can, and then I will make. I'll, like, toss the place a little bit and I will use the ink or whatever I can just find to write one of the slogans that they're chanting outside on the wall. [01:23:04] Speaker C: What are you doing? [01:23:07] Speaker F: If. [01:23:11] Speaker C: What are you doing? [01:23:15] Speaker F: Yeah, you guys stop me before I attempt to do that somewhat, because I will. [01:23:22] Speaker C: You're making a whole mess here after I told you you shouldn't. What are you doing? [01:23:30] Speaker F: They don't know who's in here. There's a lot of people that are very angry outside. [01:23:36] Speaker C: You want to get more students and staff who are. [01:23:40] Speaker D: Are. [01:23:41] Speaker F: They're not. They can't get rid of all of them. [01:23:45] Speaker C: You want to incriminate the students and staff? [01:23:51] Speaker F: Yep. Whether. Where are they going? [01:23:56] Speaker C: You're not doing that. Stop it. We need to get out now. [01:24:02] Speaker F: Fine. [01:24:04] Speaker C: I usually support your mess, but this is not it. [01:24:06] Speaker A: Okay, [01:24:11] Speaker B: So can I get one last diplomacy roll from the people? [01:24:24] Speaker A: Should I try the diplomacy? I'm kind of scared, but [01:24:29] Speaker B: whoever wants to lead the. [01:24:34] Speaker D: Lead this. [01:24:35] Speaker B: Lou, if you want to lead them in singing, you could attempt that and everybody else could assist. [01:24:40] Speaker E: Would that be a performance? [01:24:41] Speaker B: Maybe that would call a performance. [01:24:44] Speaker D: It's all the same Intimidation, diplomacy, and performance are all the same level now. [01:24:49] Speaker A: We're turning into an impromptu concert. Ayo. [01:24:52] Speaker D: I mean, this is my audition, so I can join the symphony. [01:24:57] Speaker A: Oh, my God, your sister. [01:24:59] Speaker D: Did you notice? Look how good I am. [01:25:01] Speaker A: Do I even have an okay, so I, for some reason, have a decent performance. So I guess I can. I guess I can give you a plus 15. [01:25:11] Speaker D: Oh, okay. We're the tide, then. [01:25:13] Speaker A: I. I can. I can support you. I guess I could. I can get a little beat with some drums while you do your little. [01:25:17] Speaker D: I got a nat 20. [01:25:19] Speaker E: Okay. We're supporting Lou. [01:25:21] Speaker A: All right, let's give it a try. I don't know. Maybe I'm supporting her. Maybe I'm making it worse. [01:25:25] Speaker D: My dice are only giving me below 5 or a nat 20. Those are my only options tonight, and it is stressful. [01:25:33] Speaker A: I got a 23, so I think that's not gonna cripple you horribly. [01:25:37] Speaker E: I got dirty 20. [01:25:44] Speaker D: 35 total is my. Is my. My top number. I can guidance myself. Nope. No, I can't. Oh, wait, [01:25:59] Speaker B: before. [01:25:59] Speaker D: No, no, I already did the thing, so I can't do it myself. I wrote your world, so. But it's okay. I got an attorney. I'm not super worried about this. [01:26:08] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. You're able to keep it under control. [01:26:13] Speaker D: It is calming them down so they can go back to bed. They can bring this up in the morning. We're gonna have a little quiet song. We're gonna hold a candlelight vigil. I'm turning it into a memorial. [01:26:24] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Something like that. You're intentionally avoiding any songs from Les Mis. [01:26:31] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:26:31] Speaker D: Geez. No, no. We are not hearing the people sing. We are hearing the people quietly mourn. We're gonna have a little quiet vigil. It was a protest, but now it's time to have a vigil. A memorial for the three people who have died here. We're gonna start bringing some candles out. We can protest again tomorrow. But it's evening time. It's memorial time. Yeah. [01:26:55] Speaker B: So the people in here you hear as everything is quieting down. And then it give me one last stealth check to slip out of the building. [01:27:11] Speaker C: 29 again. [01:27:15] Speaker F: I'm tempted to take the four because I think it'll be funny, but I'll go ahead and use a hero point to reroll, please. [01:27:25] Speaker C: We're not trying to be funny. We're trying to live. [01:27:28] Speaker F: 37, 34. [01:27:35] Speaker B: So there's a good chance that the headmaster will be the only one who realized that you were all here. As you all Slip out the service entrance and back into the night. I use your plan to all meet back up at the Wollstonecraft Manor. [01:28:09] Speaker F: Yeah, I'll let everyone else know that we are leaving so that they can make their escape as well. [01:28:24] Speaker A: We're gonna sneak out of school now, guys. [01:28:27] Speaker D: I mean, I'll probably stay until it naturally disperses. Especially like having toned it down to memorial levels instead of protest levels. Yeah. [01:28:36] Speaker A: Make sure everyone goes back. I'll stay back with Lou. [01:28:38] Speaker D: Just also because. [01:28:40] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:28:41] Speaker D: What if they get killed? [01:28:42] Speaker A: You know? Yeah. [01:28:45] Speaker D: Maybe we do a little safety patrol. [01:28:47] Speaker G: I don't know. [01:28:48] Speaker A: Sending people back to their rooms being really cool. I'll stay back with Lou to make sure people get back to their rooms. Tell them to drink water, all that stuff. [01:28:57] Speaker D: Stay in groups. We protect each other. [01:29:07] Speaker B: So eventually you all will reconvene at the Wollstonecraft Manor. It's late in the night, but [01:29:20] Speaker A: I better get started on dinner. It's late night. [01:29:25] Speaker B: It's like closer to like. What would be like one in the morning at this point. [01:29:30] Speaker A: Midnight snack time. Everypony. [01:29:38] Speaker C: How did this go? [01:29:40] Speaker D: Did you succeed? [01:29:44] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, we got it. [01:29:47] Speaker G: Laith will produce the crown with a flourish. [01:29:54] Speaker C: We found one other thing that we'll retrieve later. [01:30:02] Speaker G: She will produce the. I was gonna say she will produce the talisman crystal. Oh. [01:30:12] Speaker D: I do not think we are taking anything else. [01:30:16] Speaker G: That's why we'll retrieve it later. It's not magical or trapped. We checked. [01:30:21] Speaker A: Okay. [01:30:22] Speaker C: It is your family's journal though. [01:30:29] Speaker D: Oh. [01:30:33] Speaker F: Is very informative. [01:30:40] Speaker D: Is it Vitoria's? [01:30:44] Speaker B: It was the headmaster's observations on studying the Valere curse and how it could best be used. [01:30:56] Speaker C: We say that. [01:30:58] Speaker D: Oh. [01:30:59] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. That's good, sir. [01:31:02] Speaker C: Yeah, we also overheard him talking with Elias Gore. [01:31:11] Speaker E: Oh, so that's why he wasn't there. [01:31:15] Speaker C: Yeah. It would appear that for a while they've had some understanding on experimenting on students. And now the understanding has become a threat. We might be able to get this old fuck on our side. [01:31:33] Speaker D: That would be a Indeed. [01:31:40] Speaker C: Look, I'll take a powerful old wizard who could probably take most of us angry at the same guy. [01:31:52] Speaker D: Oh, certainly. I do not think we are in a position to be that juicy with our allies. We can be a little juicy. Like maybe not the cult, but yeah, speaking. [01:32:12] Speaker C: Kind of toppling. [01:32:16] Speaker G: Speaking of angry old men though, we also found Talis's old office. [01:32:21] Speaker D: It's still there. [01:32:23] Speaker G: Apparently it was. [01:32:24] Speaker D: You have not hired anyone else? Jeez. [01:32:29] Speaker G: I mean, the official story is that he's just on sabbatical he'll be back any day. [01:32:33] Speaker D: Oh, but he is dead now. We should maybe tell them unofficially. Like anonymously. [01:32:40] Speaker F: He got a number of his journals. Someone wouldn't let me ransack the place. I don't say that quite that accusatory. Accusatory. Accuse authority. Yeah, not quite that tone. That was a little bit of me coming out. I wanted to make a mess. [01:33:04] Speaker C: I don't think we should be making messes in places where the guy knows we're gonna be and then knows that we were only supposed to take one thing. [01:33:13] Speaker D: Yes, I am surprised you took anything at all, to be honest. But I suppose he would not have expected us to go into Titus's office. He does not know we have a connection to that. [01:33:27] Speaker F: And it was untouched. [01:33:29] Speaker D: He's unlikely to check it. Also, Maybe we wait on the anonymous notice of death. [01:33:41] Speaker G: The journals were written in code though, so I think you'll have. Someone will have to take them out to Juniper to get them translated. And Leith gives Lou a look. [01:33:52] Speaker D: Juniper is currently living here. [01:33:56] Speaker G: Or is that true? [01:33:57] Speaker D: Back at. We've been doing for a few times. I think she's currently in the manor with us. [01:34:01] Speaker C: I don't. Yeah, I don't think. [01:34:04] Speaker D: New store yet. [01:34:05] Speaker C: I don't think the new store is ready yet. Because it said we'd take it. We take at least a week or two to get it ready. So it's not ready yet. [01:34:13] Speaker D: Yeah, so she's gonna move again for like the fourth time. [01:34:18] Speaker B: But Juniper and Rook are just hanging out in one of the rooms, reading. [01:34:23] Speaker D: We have NPC room in the corner. There's just bunk beds for all the NPCs we acquire. [01:34:29] Speaker C: Like an enshrouded. [01:34:34] Speaker D: But I can. Yes, you can. Or I can. Or we can take it to Juniper. I mean, she has a lot of these to go through, but she's far. If I set it down as far as I understand it, [01:34:50] Speaker G: I'm sure she'd rather see you. [01:34:56] Speaker D: You know, I have to ask her questions about another one anyway, so. [01:35:02] Speaker C: Oh, This is gay as fuck. My feet hurt. My back hurts. I'm gonna go lie down until dinner's ready. [01:35:19] Speaker D: I don't know if we're getting dinner or just a snack. So if you're not hungry, you can probably skip it without hurting their feelings much. [01:35:29] Speaker A: It's a light. It's very late. [01:35:31] Speaker D: It is very late at night. It is in the morning, technically. [01:35:37] Speaker C: Look, if. If Niall makes something, I'm not gonna not eat it. And I will make something. [01:35:48] Speaker A: Aubry. How common is like oatmeal. And porridge in this setting. Like, it's great, right? [01:35:52] Speaker B: Yeah, it's very common. [01:35:54] Speaker A: Okay, I'll make some nice warm oatmeal for everyone with some sort of whatever sweet foods I could get. There's not much, but you know what I mean. I'm working with what I got, but basically oatmeal and tea for a nice little late snack before bed. God, if I had enough money, I'd make a little dinosaur eggs that hatch when you add hot water into them. [01:36:22] Speaker F: That sounds so good. [01:36:24] Speaker A: I love those. [01:36:31] Speaker B: So all in all, a successful heist. And all that remains is to give the crown to sable and for sable and the scarlet bond to hold up their end of the. [01:36:47] Speaker D: The. [01:36:48] Speaker B: The bargain. So I guess we'll figure out what [01:36:59] Speaker A: happens next time on Goblets and Gays. [01:37:04] Speaker B: That too. [01:37:07] Speaker A: Thank you everyone for listening to a wonderful episode of Goblets and Gays. If you like what we do here, feel free to follow us on Instagram, on bluesky, on Patreon.
