[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam. Howdy, it's us, God, blessing gays, gays and goblets. And we're here with another episode of Brian in the Charnel House. I am with my bitches. Say hi, bitches. Hello, bitches. [00:01:11] Speaker B: Greetings, female dogs. [00:01:17] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Aubrey. I feel like you should know me by now. I am going to be playing Shrike, who uses she, her pronouns and is a human duskwalker champion of iniquity. And I will popcorn to the next person I see on my screen. Sparlock. [00:01:37] Speaker B: Hello, I am Sparlock. I use he, him pronouns, and I am playing tic tac, the jotun bor keeper, Yotenborn, presumably some sort of ranger and who uses he, him pronouns as well. And we will go off to Alyssa, apparently. [00:02:09] Speaker D: Hello, hello, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them. And I am playing Cora, who uses any pronouns. And Cora is a beautiful clean sprite and a witch. And I will pass it to Faris. [00:02:26] Speaker A: Hello, I am Barris. [00:02:27] Speaker E: I use she, her pronouns, and I'm playing Compy, who is allegedly dragonet magus and probably maybe uses he, him pronouns. Who can say Dusty, have you gone? [00:02:42] Speaker F: I have not. Hi, I'm Dusty. I'm here. I use they, them pronouns. I'm playing Joe, Gunslinger. Maybe spell shot. They are here. They have an arm. Well, they have two, but they have an arm in their back. Andy. [00:03:06] Speaker G: Hi, everybody. I'm Mandy. Or the Mandy. My pronouns are they, any, and I am playing curio. The catfolk, presumably oracle pronouns. They, them. [00:03:24] Speaker A: Ferris. Ferris. What happened last time? [00:03:28] Speaker E: We're going to die. We met the new group, learned a few things about ourselves, like the fact that we were in the sky and we crashed and we've been in here a week and a half, unbeknownst to anybody that is one of us, because our memory is bad. They were sent to find us this new group of Pumpadon, Satya, Summer and Magmask and helped us make a quick escape. Because you know what? The tender flesh is a comet and wants to eat us, probably. Or at any rate doom us, because we are all pretty doomed right now. And I mean that mechanically and literally. Some of us also had some memories come up and also we don't know our names yet. We were hoping our new friends would know our names, but the only name that they know is the name of a missing royal, probably not related to us in any way, shape or form. And that the that the only people they know about is the pilot super dead and a missing child. Don't worry about that either. I'm sure nobody in this party had anything to do with that. Yeah. Anyway, we are sort of being attacked by goo. We're mostly running for our lives, but if we don't save our friends who are actively trying to stall for us, we're still in trouble. So, you know, it's gonna be fine. [00:05:05] Speaker A: Exactly. With that, we will start with a little reading. [00:05:14] Speaker H: There exists a creature so foul that only the likes of fools would dare wish to meet. Lurks deep within the sands. Kept prisoner here, it has made a home within our home, a system of caverns that travel deep underground. It is nearly impossible to track entrance as the creature likes to tear her work apart and design it again elsewhere. But what we know is true is that every cave in Mithram can lead further into her caverns. It births monstrosities out of those it captures its voice, a temptation to those already weak. We call its home the Womb of the damned. For surely all those who fall in do not return the same if they return at all. [00:06:01] Speaker A: Comments from a desert druid speaker. So we're back to the top of the round. We're in combat. Kind of paint what's going on right now. Y' all are tasked with running from one side of this space to another. There is like a forked path in the way that some of you can see, but you have been pointed out like exactly where to run because the path lights up with, excuse me, a glowing trail spell that Papadon casted earlier so you can see exactly where to go if you follow the lights. However, you are being hindered by two slimy humanoids. Like you're pretty sure they were people and now there's something else. And of course at least one big fucking creature. Creat actually, it's actually a small army of you're pretty sure is still slime covered people that are climbing over each other like an army of ants does. With that level of precision though, Compy casted a really big spell that currently has them, I believe, frightened because they are believing an illusion. Frightened or stunned one, I believe. Stunned one for sure. Right. [00:07:37] Speaker E: It depends on their save. I believe they're both actually let me open the spell specifically and it is a matter of they're frightened two and stunned one. Except for one of them succeeded and that one is frightened one. It was the one we were all attacking. And by we I mean the group. I was not involved in that. So the one that's been getting the Most smoke is frightened 1. Everybody else that was in the 50 foot burst was frightened 2. And stunned 1. [00:08:06] Speaker A: Yes, I do see them. I was smart. I put the conditions on them. [00:08:12] Speaker E: Heck yeah. [00:08:12] Speaker F: Okay. [00:08:13] Speaker A: Yes. But that is what's going on right now. We are at the top of the round though, with Mag Musk, who is a bearded, dragging looking lizard folk. And you see. So technically there is previously. What Satya did was she created difficult terrain on his end. So you see this kind of strange, strangely artistic rendition of waves. Specifically if waves and sand could kind of merge like a beach. Shoreline is what you're seeing. And thankfully the rest of you are not affected by this difficult terrain. But Mag Musk is. Except he isn't. He has a thing where difficult terrain does not affect him at all. He looks quite in his elements and will kind of be perfectly fine with beating the out of this guy. Let's do. Let's do. Let's just do a bunch of. Let's just do. Yeah, a bunch of attacks. Why not? Why not? Natural 20 even with the dice. [00:09:40] Speaker B: Really? [00:09:40] Speaker A: That's crazy for 41. Let's. Let me just. Let me just. I have a thing. Critical hit deck. [00:09:51] Speaker E: Okay. [00:09:51] Speaker A: Brow to chin. The target takes minus 2 status. Penalty to perception and range attacks rolls until. Until healed. Okay. That's kind of dope. I don't know if they're gonna be alive. Full disclosure. Let's dog. Okay. Magma's got that dog in him because that's a 19 on the die. Even with the attack penalties. This is crazy. You're gonna hit though, right? Yeah, that's another crit, actually. This is. You know, fighters are insane. [00:10:30] Speaker F: Yes. [00:10:31] Speaker A: Pathfinder fighters are actually insane. [00:10:34] Speaker F: I remember Joanna. [00:10:38] Speaker A: I miss Joanna [00:10:43] Speaker C: girl. [00:10:43] Speaker F: Me too. [00:10:45] Speaker E: That. [00:10:49] Speaker G: That. [00:10:49] Speaker A: The room assassination's forever in my. My mind just. We like walked in. It's like, when did the paint job happen? Let's do one more. Let's do one more hit. Why not? It's minus 10, right? Oh, that's. And. Oh, poor thing. So the. With the last we see him, we see Magma swing twice, dealing a scary amount of. Of damage with these. With these swings until the last one where he kind of overextends himself and kind of. He graz. Grazes himself more more. So his arms graze underneath his. His flared chin. And in doing so it makes him look around and he's just so. He's just so aggroed he's getting confused. And he is confused one right now. But that's okay because he did a ton of damage to [00:12:07] Speaker E: the. [00:12:07] Speaker A: The creature in front of him. Those of you who can see it. And that should be basically Everyone, this thing looks bad. He cut off both arms and a leg, and the legs are growing back, but the arms are not growing back fast enough. Yes. Okay, Joe, it's your turn. Oh, I hit delay. My bad. Oh, boy. Yo, don't do that. There we go. [00:12:35] Speaker F: Unless things have changed, I'm just gonna keep moving. What? What's. What's the. Is this our friend, the rogue in front of us? [00:12:49] Speaker A: That's your. That is your friend? Yeah, the rogue. Excuse me, the rogie heads are your friends? That is Satya. [00:13:00] Speaker F: Okay, when those are twins. [00:13:04] Speaker A: Yeah, one of the twins. She's the one who made the difficult terrain. And she currently has, quite literally Vaporeon just kind of floating around her. It is a cat with a fish tail. [00:13:18] Speaker F: Make Pokemon cannon one day. Yeah, I'm just gonna move my three actions. Unless, like, is it hard to see at all or. No, [00:13:29] Speaker A: I believe you have some form of light source, but you can just follow the trail. But in terms of like, your relevancy of how much you can see, it depends. If you've got dim light, dark vision, low light vision, etc. [00:13:46] Speaker F: I have low light, but then I could turn myself into a lamp. [00:13:49] Speaker D: So. [00:13:49] Speaker F: Yeah, I'll just do that later because it's so an action to do. I'm gonna just do three move actions. [00:13:57] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:13:59] Speaker A: Would you like me to move you? Because I'm assuming you're following the trail, or would you just like to move yourself and then I can correct. [00:14:11] Speaker F: As long as you don't, like, make me roll to decide a direction, you should just move me. [00:14:20] Speaker A: What's your movement speed again? [00:14:22] Speaker F: 25ft, so be 75. [00:14:25] Speaker A: This. You are reaching your destination when you do in fact. [00:14:33] Speaker C: See [00:14:35] Speaker A: the lack of better terms. Anthill army, [00:14:44] Speaker F: Huh? [00:14:46] Speaker A: Yes, it is a group of. You're pretty sure they were once some form of humanoid or mortal or whatever, covered in slime, climbing on top of each other, building a bridge of their own bodies. Currently a little bit shocked and stunned at the amount of the illusionary noise the cannon fire that compy made. But that hasn't stopped them from climbing on top of each other. Growing in height bigger and bigger. You see them, they don't see you yet. You hope. [00:15:22] Speaker F: Is it this thing? [00:15:25] Speaker A: It's this thing, yes. [00:15:26] Speaker F: Okay. Disgusting. Cool. Good to know. I will. [00:15:31] Speaker A: A good visual is World War Z when they started climbing the barricade by climbing on top of each other. [00:15:38] Speaker F: Oh, the bad movie. [00:15:40] Speaker D: Hell yeah. [00:15:42] Speaker A: Just literally think of ants. But if the ants were people for [00:15:48] Speaker D: magical purposes, do they count as one thing or like a bunch of things in one space. [00:15:54] Speaker A: A bunch of things in one space, I believe. One second. I gotta. Let me. Let me actually just click on them again. They're a troop, so similar to troop fighting, when you attack them, they'll just start falling off and get smaller and smaller. You can also just completely ignore them if you can. You don't know what their range is. You don't know what their side is. You don't know what anything is. It's Papa Don's turn. Papa Don, He's gonna look around. He's gonna see. Actually, no, he's gonna keep. He's gonna keep. Inspire, courage up. That's Action one. And then seeing everybody doing their thing, he's just. Yeah, no, he's just gonna try. Okay, good. There it is. Telekinetic maneuver. He is going to try and trip not the one in front of him, but the one that is in front of Tic Tac and Cora to see if he can give you a bit more of an advantage. Though, to be fair, this thing is frightened too, and stunned one. So it's kind of funny, I think I. And he's gonna do it. So you see Papa Don, Purple Dragonet, he's continuing to bust a move, and he is, in fact, sweating at this point. For he is. The gyration is going crazy. And then you kind of see him do that lasso dance move. But, like, with no lasso, he's just like, with. With his hands and he like. He like, throws it at the creature and then pulls it back. Like he's like. He's like. He's lassoing the. The guy. And with the pullback movement, you see the creature straight up fall, like, get tripped by nothing. Nothing but a thin little purple string of magic that is. That will be Papadon's full turn. Keeping up your. Your bonuses and assisting where he can. And Tic Tac, it's your turn. This guy is prone. The guy in front of you is prone. He is, like, frightened, too. And stunned one. He's not having a good day. [00:18:46] Speaker B: The area behind him. Yeah, it's just like a cliff, right? [00:18:52] Speaker A: It's sorta. Yeah, there's a lot of goo there, [00:18:59] Speaker B: but it's a. It's a ledge. How much of a fall is there? [00:19:04] Speaker A: Not much of a fall, but you would essentially be kicking something. You'd be kicking it into, like, a pool of thick liquid. So it would be difficult terrain. They could sink as well. But, like, are they taking fall damage? No, they're going to be running into the issue of, like, drowning if they can drown, or moving slower, if that is a whole other thing. [00:19:32] Speaker B: Yeah. Because I still, you know, we need to run away. And you knew right where I was going with the thought. [00:19:46] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:19:47] Speaker A: There's nothing stopping you from trying to. To shove this guy into. Into. Back into the goo. And if you have a way to sink him, that is also an option, just. Just treat it like super thick water. [00:20:06] Speaker B: So, Cora, how attached are you to, like, not moving on your own? [00:20:18] Speaker D: I mean, I'm not terribly fast, but I can do it. It's fine. I just want to get out of here. [00:20:27] Speaker B: Yeah, that's the thing, is you want to get out of here, and I want to make sure you get out of here. But I also don't want to leave our allies that actually know what's going on behind us. [00:20:46] Speaker D: Oh. [00:20:47] Speaker A: Heard. [00:20:47] Speaker D: I will move on my own. [00:20:50] Speaker E: So [00:20:53] Speaker B: what I will do, if I may have your consent, is I will use the powers of Yeet. [00:21:10] Speaker D: Yes. [00:21:10] Speaker A: Yes, yes. [00:21:11] Speaker B: To grab onto Korra and give you a nice Jotun boost. Now, I don't think there is an enemy I can throw you at to attack them, but what I can do. Yes. If I have two hands free, toss them into a space within 30ft. So free action. I will drop my bow. I will hopefully not regret that later, but I will say, go on without me. And I think right about here, or no here, I will Yeet Cora 30ft away from me. You don't have to worry about any reactions or anything. Go forth and be free. And then the other reason why I grabbed or I dropped my weapon is I am going to quick draw, get myself a more appropriate weapon, And then strike this guy that is right next to me. There's. [00:22:49] Speaker A: There's something very special about picturing Cora being flung like a fastball special. [00:22:59] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:23:00] Speaker D: You can hear Korra like I can fly. [00:23:03] Speaker B: That is exactly what I was thinking. [00:23:08] Speaker D: You didn't have to throw her. [00:23:12] Speaker G: It's just our powers combined. [00:23:14] Speaker F: Yeet. [00:23:17] Speaker A: It's so funny. [00:23:18] Speaker E: Think of the distance you're gonna get. That's some serious air time. [00:23:23] Speaker D: To be fair, it is farther than I can fly on my own. In one movement, [00:23:29] Speaker G: you got. [00:23:29] Speaker E: You got. [00:23:29] Speaker A: You actually got thrown, I think 10 more feet than you can do because you were on the other side. But I'm counting it from, you know, directly where. Where Tic Tac was. So you got. You got yeeted. You. [00:23:47] Speaker B: You got some air time. That is a 22 to hit. That apparently works. [00:23:54] Speaker A: Yes, that will hit that. Because the Flesh Warp is Like frightened too, and whatnot. Technically, they should. I feel like they should also be down at one more because they're technically prone and I haven't prone them. My bad. But yeah, it's gonna hit. [00:24:11] Speaker B: That is crazy because I rolled a four. [00:24:15] Speaker A: And status penalty. Oh, God, they're at 20. Actually, the prone was kind of crazy on them. Yeah, status penalties, guys. [00:24:24] Speaker B: So that is 11. They didn't seem to be reacting too well to the slashing. So I'll go ahead and slash, see if I can remove another limb. [00:24:40] Speaker A: You do slash. He's still standing. And like before his wounds, they. They. So you. You can slash. It's like cutting through butter, you know? And whatever you detach the slime pulls it back together. That is not them healing. That is just how fragile they are, but also how not fragile they are. I believe that's all three of your actions, correct? [00:25:17] Speaker B: Yes. Through the power of Yeet. [00:25:20] Speaker A: Through the power of Yeet. Now it's time for the other Flesh Warp's turn. The one that Mag Musk is on. See, unlike his friend, he has all three actions. So he is gonna. He's gonna throw hands is what he's gonna do. Yeah. 34 will. 34 will hit even if he tries to do a shield block. That's unfortunate. Actually, he. He can see. Sh. He's going to spit at you, Shrike. Probably should have spat at you first. Does a 15 hit? [00:26:09] Speaker C: It does not hit. That is a critical failure. [00:26:13] Speaker A: Let's fumble, babies. Phantom win. You take a minus two circumstance penalty to range attacks until the end of your next turn. And perhaps not learning because of course they didn't. They're just gonna attack Magma again. They'll miss that time. But yeah, you do see Magmas take some damage from being hit. But it doesn't. Doesn't. Doesn't do much. Let's just say like a lot. [00:26:56] Speaker E: It was like. [00:26:58] Speaker A: Oh, actually, it was a little bit more. There we go. That is that Flesh Orb's full turn. And it's Curio's turn. Hi, bestie. [00:27:13] Speaker D: Hello. [00:27:14] Speaker G: Okay, so I'm doomed. [00:27:17] Speaker E: Two now. [00:27:17] Speaker G: Oh, wait, no. I already was. I already was. [00:27:20] Speaker A: Yeah, everybody. Everybody in your team. Like as in the missing people team? Yeah, everybody's doomed. Comp is doomed. Three. [00:27:28] Speaker E: Oh, no. [00:27:31] Speaker G: Yeah, I think I'm going to keep doing what we were doing and getting. Getting the heck out of here. So. Yeah, I am going to move. [00:27:50] Speaker A: Do you want me to move you or. [00:27:52] Speaker G: Nope, I can do it. I'm double checking something. Never mind. It's about landing yeah, I'm just gonna dash. So that will be 60ft or 50ft. [00:28:13] Speaker A: 50. Are. Are you running? Are you doing a three action run or two action run? [00:28:19] Speaker G: I'll do a three action run. I'm not interested in staying here any longer, so. Yeah, I'm just going to boogie. [00:28:27] Speaker A: That is your. Yeah. Your movement, your thing should be able to move it like. Yeah. [00:28:34] Speaker F: Okay. [00:28:34] Speaker G: I'm going to do it 25 at a time here. Okay, I'm moving. We decided which direction we're going, correct? [00:28:47] Speaker A: Yep. [00:28:48] Speaker G: Which is. [00:28:49] Speaker A: I'm assuming you have a glowing trail, so you are. You're currently going in the right direction over here. I'm pinging. [00:28:57] Speaker E: That's what I thought. [00:28:58] Speaker G: That's what I thought. Okay, so that's 75. I can do 75. Yep, yep. I'll go right there. [00:29:10] Speaker A: You are now beside Joe and you just see the shambling human ant horde. [00:29:18] Speaker G: Great. Love that. [00:29:20] Speaker A: But the exit is also within sight. It is. While it might not be visually shown on the map, you both can see sunlight seeping in through a crack. What appears to be a crack at the very least. All right, that's in your turn. It's something. [00:29:52] Speaker G: I also very specifically position Joe between me and the horde of people. I just want to be so clear about my positioning. [00:30:00] Speaker A: Of course, of course, of course. [00:30:01] Speaker G: Absolutely. [00:30:02] Speaker D: Perf. [00:30:05] Speaker F: Joe, remember this, [00:30:09] Speaker A: will you? [00:30:10] Speaker G: Now? [00:30:13] Speaker A: So because it's round two, one of these guys is poisoned. I think it's you. I think it's. Gosh darn. I'm just gonna say it's. It's the one that is. Get that. [00:30:30] Speaker E: That. [00:30:30] Speaker A: The one that. [00:30:31] Speaker G: That. [00:30:31] Speaker A: That was getting jumped on by all the conditions. That's the one who's going to be poisoned successfully because it's that they're going to take another D4 of poison damage. As you see this. This flesh warp is. Well, it's not flesh warp. It's a sad soul. You see the one that is currently prone, that is having its ass kind of beat. It's starting to melt where the dart hit it. It's melting through some of the slime and down into the skin and bone. And it's. This poison is a fast acting, kind of really scary. Thingy. And their movements are getting even slower. They're already prone and all that, which is funny, but if they could get more prone, that is. That is what's happening. However, she too is also going to book it because she's all the way in the back looking at. At everybody, making sure that you all are ahead before she Kind of catches up. She's gonna move one here. She'll use all three of her actions to actually book it, so that way she can kind of catch up with the rest of you, especially the ones who have run further out ahead. And you see. You see her specifically, Korra, I think, is the one who can see her stop and pause as her eyes start to dart around back and forth very fast. And she kind of holds. She puts her, like, head in her hands before doing the snake thing where she's sticking out her tongue in and out very fast, kind of flailing around it around. She is sensing something. She is seeing something. And then she turns to where the. To where the forked road is, except not the one with the glowing trail, but rather to the other side. And she points, and she goes, we got another one coming in. And she has been able to foretell a warning of a new shambling until to. Now that she's pointed out, if you can see that far, you would see these guys are, like, crawling up from the slime on both ends to reach the middle, bashing into each other, and then moving towards the rest of y'. [00:33:32] Speaker B: All. [00:33:33] Speaker A: That is what you'd be able to see if you can see that far or have any form of sensing. So, yeah, you have a whole other guy. I'll put him on the Initiative. And I believe it's Korra's turn. Cora, you were fastball specialed. [00:33:54] Speaker D: Yeah. And before that, I had heard that tender flesh whisper in my head that it could see me now, which I do not like. So I will use invisibility, because obviously it meant physically, and so turning invisible means that I'm safe again. And then I will use my remaining action to continue on my way out. Unfortunately, I only have 20ft of movement or 25 movement speed, so not ideal, but, you know, would you like to. [00:34:29] Speaker A: I was gonna say, would you like to jump on to one of the sisters? [00:34:33] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, they're heading out. [00:34:36] Speaker A: Yeah, they are heading out. I would say the one that you saw run in front of you and kind of have and foretell you that is Summer, who's directly in front of you, but she is right beside her sister, who has not taken her turn yet. [00:34:50] Speaker D: So, yeah, I will jump onto the sister and hope that she is not going to do something. S. Like Tic Tac is. And try and stay behind for other people. [00:35:03] Speaker A: She is. She is last on the initiative, so in terms of, like, her movement, it will be last. But, like, also, you're before her, so if you ever wanted to if she runs away and then you can dip from her. Like that is optional for sure. [00:35:18] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:35:19] Speaker A: But when you, when you join her, you will. When you join her, she one doesn't like resist you or anything like that. She kind of sees you flying to her and she like opens her hands to like kind of like almost as if like that would help you get to her faster. And she doesn't mind you riding on her like at all. But you do notice that this catfish, familiar thing, you can see through it, sort of like it's. It's somewhat translucent, but it's still fully here. And it smells like the ocean around them. It smells fresh. It smells really good here, actually comforting for you. And I can give you a memory later if you would like. Yeah, a familiar smell. But the. We'll call it a cat for now. The cat looks at you knowingly, like it knows what you are. And Sati is a little too busy, you know, trying to stay alive with you to have noticed. But this cat seems to know there's. There is a crazy amount of wisdom in this cat's eyes. It looks super cute, maybe a little weird, but that's like. There is wisdom here. There is something very knowing. You are seen even though you're invisible. [00:37:09] Speaker D: Well, maybe it should know to mind its own business. [00:37:14] Speaker A: We'll see, bro. It's the flesh web that's having a super bad day. It's frightened two stunned one off. Prone. Off, prone. Off guard and prone. It's going to use one action to get up. So if you have an attack of opportunity, Tic tac, you can do so. [00:37:34] Speaker G: I. [00:37:38] Speaker B: I wish, but I am not a fighter. [00:37:42] Speaker A: Sag. It gets up and it will try to attack you with all of its. [00:37:50] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:37:51] Speaker E: How far away is strike from this thing? [00:37:56] Speaker A: Shrike is a Tic Tac space away. [00:38:00] Speaker E: Is that 15 or 10? 15. Okay, never mind. Because I have attack of opportunity and I have 10 foot range, but 15 is too far. [00:38:09] Speaker A: So. [00:38:09] Speaker E: And I'm on strike as well. [00:38:11] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:38:12] Speaker G: Yep, yep. [00:38:14] Speaker A: Well, actually, the way I'm. The way I'm seeing it, it looks like Shrike can make it because it's only two spaces. [00:38:20] Speaker C: It's true. [00:38:21] Speaker E: I mean that's GM's call. If you think that's within my 10 foot range. [00:38:25] Speaker A: I think it is within your 10 foot range because you were on Shrike and Shrike is from my measurement 10 away. So it, it, it would be that. [00:38:37] Speaker E: Okay, then I get reactive strike as a, as a lus. [00:38:43] Speaker A: Do my little. [00:38:44] Speaker E: I'll do my little. That's not a very good bowl. But he is suffering greatly, so I don't. It may not matter. It's gonna be a 28. [00:39:07] Speaker A: Will hit. [00:39:08] Speaker E: I think that is a. It might be 29. I can't tell if it's adding in my courageous anthem boost or not, but doesn't matter. It is cool. [00:39:17] Speaker H: Oh, God. [00:39:17] Speaker E: Damage. What is my damage? [00:39:24] Speaker D: Six. [00:39:24] Speaker E: That's not very good roll, but that's okay. That's gonna be eight plus one, so nine. [00:39:34] Speaker A: Nine is points of damage. [00:39:36] Speaker E: Scarf comes swirling out and just catches it in the. I don't know. Slices off his ear. [00:39:45] Speaker A: That's exactly what happens. Does your reactive strike do anything else? Like, does it stop the movement? Does it. [00:39:53] Speaker E: Let me double check. [00:39:58] Speaker G: You disrupt the action. [00:39:59] Speaker A: Okay. [00:40:01] Speaker E: Only if it's a critical. [00:40:02] Speaker A: Only if it's critical. Okay. I was like. That would have been crazy. [00:40:05] Speaker E: That would have been rude. [00:40:08] Speaker A: So it gets up. You. You snipe its ear off, and it is going to attack. It's got. It's going to attack. Tic tac, tic tac. You're really big for this creature. Does a 20 hit you? [00:40:32] Speaker B: I am, like, 99% sure. No, it does not. I'm thinking lower level for my other game. [00:40:44] Speaker A: It swings at you. It does not connect. It's still delirious and whatnot. And because it was stunned one, that's all it can do. This gigantic beast that is not affected by really anything right now. That's one movement. It sees the sisters. It sees Cora. Well, actually, it doesn't see Korra. Korra is invisible. It sees the sisters. It's gonna continue until it's right here, as if guided by something. It knows what way to block. Oh, wait a minute. It's right here. Oh, it's gonna take three. It's gonna take. Sorry. It will take three actions to get all the way over here because of the difficult terrain would hit it. It's that big. But it is, in fact, now blocking the way still, because it can use all three actions to move to block its way. The best way to describe what you're seeing here is a stretched structure of bodies that continue from where it spawned and come out all the way over here. It's as if they're stuck. They are stuck together by the slime and they're trying to rip off of each other to get to the rest of you. It is. Think of. You can assume it like a tentacle if you wish. Despite it being several bodies, several people turning, forcing itself to be. To act as one. When it clearly cannot act as one. Or. Well, it can. It's just. It's really creepy to look at. Thankfully though, that is all three of its turns. Jesus Christ, Shrike, it's your turn. [00:42:52] Speaker C: Yeah. I see this big thing and I am going to spend my first two actions I think to get in front of Summer. That's Summer, right, right there. [00:43:10] Speaker A: That's Satya. You'd be beside Summer. You'd be beside Summer. [00:43:14] Speaker C: Okay, I get in front of Satya besides Summer. Yeah, yeah. Because it's 25 movement speed and that's 40ft. And then with scythe in hand, I am going to take a swing. Question. Does this thing count as an aberration? [00:43:37] Speaker A: Yes. Well, okay, cool. Yes, I would. I would count it as an aberration right now. [00:43:45] Speaker C: Because my oath of the Slayer would activate. So it would deal additional. It would deal additional damage. Anything to anything. That counts as an aberration within my champions aura. So within that like circle around me and I am going to swing at it with the scythe. That is a 17 on the dice plus 19 for a hold for math for 36. [00:44:26] Speaker A: 36 will. It will hit and it will crit. [00:44:33] Speaker C: And that is going to be 33 damage. And two other things will happen is I have the fearsome rune on the weapon because of my champion stuff. So we have frightened one. And because of the critical specialization in the scythe, the target is moved 5ft in the direction of your choice. [00:44:59] Speaker A: What is your direction? [00:45:03] Speaker C: Let us move it this way so there's more room for people to get by. [00:45:10] Speaker A: So describe your strike here. How are you cleaving this thing? Because it's several bodies. [00:45:16] Speaker C: Several bodies. Yeah. I have both hands on the scythe and with practiced ease I just slice. And as I'm slicing, I sort of catch an area that looks sturdy enough to get some leverage on it. And using that, that's how I move it using this scythe. This scythe I'm very, very familiar with. [00:45:50] Speaker A: And the scythe is very, very familiar with you. You strike, you slash through it. You're kind of using the scythe almost like how a scythe is meant to be used in farming. And in this case, these bodies do feel like wheat as you cleave right through them and they kind of fall into pieces only for the slime to try and pull it back up into it. Like it's reluctant to let any part you cut off go. It does shrink back enough to give that opening space that you wanted. And. You see your. Your scythe looks Alive. Next, it is the other one's turn. All right. They're frightened too. Stunned one. Which means they only get. Sorry, two actions. They are kind of distracted, but not distracted enough where it won't stop them from moving and using up their full action to get right in the way. In front of you. Joe and Curio, you see the same thing from where they emerged. They are still connected to it and something is. Is directing them to push in front of you. There is intelligence behind these things and they kind of loom over you. Once again, if you need another type of visual, please think of a tentacle with several extra appendages. But in actuality, another good one is the. When the ants climb on top of each other, still connected to its strange origin. It can't do anything though. That is its entire turn because it was stunned one. And Compy, it's your turn. Compy. You were still on Shrike, right? So I moved you. [00:48:10] Speaker E: Yes. [00:48:11] Speaker A: To be there. Just consider yourself on top of Shrike. I just didn't want your token to get. Yeah. A little confuddled. Yeah. [00:48:23] Speaker E: Okay, so we have this big. The big one in front of us is another like, cluster, right? [00:48:33] Speaker A: Yes. [00:48:34] Speaker E: Okay, so we have two clusters. One blocking the door, one alarmingly close. I am going to try to bias a little time. Maybe. I'm going to make a melee attack with my bladed scarf, specifically attempting to cast home among mulberry leaves at the same. Which is not a spell strike. It's a. It's a. It's a conflict spell. And if it succeeds. Well, we'll see. We'll see what happens. Let me try to hit first. [00:49:31] Speaker C: Yeah, [00:49:33] Speaker A: it's not very good. [00:49:38] Speaker E: What's my. What's my attack? What's my. There. Where's my deck? Don't use that. There it is. Okay, so that would be. That would be a 30 to hit. [00:49:54] Speaker A: That will hit. [00:49:55] Speaker E: Oh, sweet. [00:49:56] Speaker A: Okay, great then. [00:49:59] Speaker E: Because I am casting homo mulberry, whatever it is called. [00:50:05] Speaker A: That should be full [00:50:08] Speaker E: orange is like. You don't have focus points because I didn't click them. I'm stupid. Anyway, so the. The threads of. From my scarf unravel along one side. I feel like it's like there's like embroidery along the edges of like all around the edges of the scarf, which is like many, many times the length of Compy's body, even including the tail, which is pretty, pretty long. And the embroidery itself unweaves itself from the scarf and shoots out independently to wrap around the entirety of this thing, I guess. And it is Immobilized into the start of my next turn. It can attempt to escape, but otherwise it is stuck. [00:50:59] Speaker D: Huh. [00:51:02] Speaker E: And then I guess I. I don't know if that was two actions or one actions. [00:51:10] Speaker A: What does it does not say for you? [00:51:13] Speaker E: It's a one action spell. But it says to make a melee strike in it. And it doesn't specify whether that's part of the spell. [00:51:20] Speaker A: That's part of the spell. Fairly sure. [00:51:22] Speaker E: Okay. [00:51:25] Speaker A: Yeah. It like. It happens when you punch like that. [00:51:30] Speaker E: Okay. What else do we want to do? Compy. I thought that would be the whole turn and it wasn't. Or I thought we'd have to try more times. So. Cool. Let's. There's nothing about this that suggests that attacking it again would do anything bad about it. [00:51:51] Speaker G: So. [00:51:56] Speaker E: Let me. Hang on. Let me check. Let me check distance really fast here. Oops. [00:52:01] Speaker F: Go. [00:52:01] Speaker A: Yeah. There's nothing stopping you from also just jumping ship and. And flying off. [00:52:07] Speaker E: That is. [00:52:10] Speaker D: Hold on. [00:52:11] Speaker E: That's a distance. And then let me see how far I can go. I can go. Is that counting? [00:52:20] Speaker F: Okay. [00:52:20] Speaker E: I can go. Oh I could. I could jump ship to like Curio or Joe. Not in like a negative way. In like a. I gotta go help with whatever that is. [00:52:31] Speaker A: You're really tight. You're really tiny. It's. But like you're. You're doing your job. You know. [00:52:36] Speaker E: I'm doing my job. I'm quite. I'm quite proud of myself actually. This is great. I have a plan for the other problem. I just gotta get closer. However I might. I want to see put. What do I do if I don't stay put? If I don't stay put, I can just attack this thing. [00:52:53] Speaker A: Yep. [00:52:55] Speaker E: Do I have an alternative option? I could also [00:53:03] Speaker A: steal it, I guess. [00:53:13] Speaker E: This is such a silly thing. And I don't know if it will work against the troop because it's like a. A whole group. But also I think it's silly and fun. So I'm gonna try it. You tell me if it won't work because it's too many. Too many people. But I have a thing called Dirty Trick which I basically attempt a thievery check against them and I can make them clumsy. The. The suggestions of it are like you tie their bootlaces together or you pull their hat down. So it may not work against like a group, but it's. It's. [00:54:03] Speaker A: Tell me what you're gonna do to them and maybe I'll just allow it because it is technically it is a group of individuals. So you would Be affecting the group. [00:54:15] Speaker E: Mm. My process is kind of along the same lines as the. The mulberry leaves that I just did. Like. Shoot. What's it called when it's not mechanical? [00:54:30] Speaker G: Flavor Text. [00:54:31] Speaker E: Flavor text wise. And it's just to use those same threads that are like immobilizing them and using it to wrap around their legs specifically. So it's like a giant shoelace wrapped around all their legs at once. You can say no, it's okay. [00:54:49] Speaker A: No, I like that. I'll allow it if it lands. [00:54:52] Speaker G: Okay. [00:54:52] Speaker A: Okay. [00:54:53] Speaker E: So this is my thievery against their reflex dc. Where's my. Where's my. My dice is so small. I keep losing it. [00:55:06] Speaker D: Okay. [00:55:09] Speaker E: Okay. That's gonna be a 27. [00:55:15] Speaker A: Yep. You beat it. [00:55:17] Speaker E: Okay. It's just a regular success, not a critical. Correct. [00:55:20] Speaker A: Regular success. Yes. [00:55:21] Speaker G: Okay. [00:55:22] Speaker E: Then. They are clumsy. One for one round. [00:55:24] Speaker G: Okay. [00:55:27] Speaker E: I'm just out here applying status effects. Don't mind me. [00:55:30] Speaker A: Hey, man. That it helps. Okay. These guys all could have attacked you with things that they could have done until you did things like move too far away and then apply status effects. That's literally the only reason why they did not jump you as hard as they could have. [00:55:45] Speaker E: I am enjoying being a little trickster dragon, apparently. And then I have one more action. So I'm gonna just by stab them. I mean I'm gonna throw my scarf in the air and whip them real good. [00:55:59] Speaker A: Whip them. [00:56:00] Speaker E: Whip them real good. That's going to be ironically the best I've rolled. But not really good with the multi attack. So that's going to be a 28 with the courageous. [00:56:13] Speaker A: You will hit John Test whip noise. [00:56:21] Speaker E: Is it wild that this is like the most productive character I've ever had in my home? LMG is more productive. She gets the job done. And let's see here. This little guy is gonna do a beautiful 13 damage with the whip after having tied them up with string and then basically tied all of their shoelaces together at once and then smacked them on the head for good measure. [00:56:52] Speaker A: Because I don't know how to. [00:56:55] Speaker G: How to. [00:56:56] Speaker A: How to change the size of the token on the fly. Technically it will decrease in size. So it's much easier for y' all to just bob and weave. But you're whipping you. It feels very similar. Cutting, slicing through butter, slicing through wheat. This is very easy to cut. [00:57:17] Speaker G: The. [00:57:17] Speaker A: To just cut these dies down. It's just there's so many of them. So it's hell, man. Resident evil when they make you play as Chris Redfield. With a machine gun. It's just. [00:57:28] Speaker B: It's. [00:57:28] Speaker A: You can mow them down. It's just they keep coming back. [00:57:31] Speaker G: It's. [00:57:32] Speaker A: It's. That is. That is what you're dealing with here. [00:57:36] Speaker E: Do any of my fun little tricks? Yes, yes. Keep going. [00:57:40] Speaker A: I was going to say if you want to laugh, you have almost gotten it down to bloodied. Almost there. You're like what, six off Maybe. [00:57:53] Speaker G: I don't know. [00:57:54] Speaker B: Would that be a muddied. [00:57:57] Speaker A: Muddied. I was gonna call it sluttied because slime. But then I was like, it sounds different. But yeah, you also fully like you. There's a lot of fucking statuses being put on here as well. It's a mobile technically too. [00:58:16] Speaker E: Yeah. Does. And again you can say no. Does basically copy being in their element trigger memory. You may not have one that applies in which case that's fine. I was just curious. [00:58:35] Speaker A: No, I like that. I'll give it to you. I'll give it to you. [00:58:38] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:58:39] Speaker A: Let me just. [00:58:39] Speaker D: Let me. [00:58:40] Speaker A: Let me make a note here. I'm pretty sure I triggered a memory also for. For Korra. Right? [00:58:53] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:58:53] Speaker A: And yeah, yeah, because. Because of the smell. And now I'll give. I'll give one to Compy. We'll do this. All these memories after combat because I feel like it'd be real bad for you to be like, can't I remember? And it's like mid ass whooping. [00:59:12] Speaker E: Cool. [00:59:13] Speaker A: Yeah. Very, very productive turn. Satya's turn. She sees what's happening. She's not happy with what's happening. And will. You see? You see, despite her having sleeves, there are up close you can all see that she has some scale stuff going on. And you kind of see the scales start to light up this lovely blue. And it does light up past her thin clothes. So you can see kind of like where it goes on her arms a little bit down her back on her legs a little bit as she props up her arms and in right, right in between you shrike and you compy. She sticks her hands out and casts a hydraulic torrent. So that's a 60 foot line just to blast this thing further, further back. So that's. And he fails. This creature gets blasted by. [01:00:34] Speaker G: It's. [01:00:34] Speaker A: It's this stream of like unending water that kind of comes from her. It lights her eyes up blue and it's gonna deal quite a bit of damage while also knocking it back about five feet away from. From you guys further pushing it. I would say it's pushing it closer to the edge of where it can be pushed. It's not falling off or anything like that, but it's. It's just this constant torrent of water that deals quite a bit of damage, about 39 points of what is this bludgeoning damage? And this. This shambling thing. It's. It's parts of it are just falling off real bad. It's littering the floor, and the slime is having a hard time pulling it back up in into itself. It does not look good, is what I'm going to tell you guys as a group. And then continuing to sustain her focus spell from before, she's going to dip. River carving mountains. Okay. And you kind of see she's gonna apologize for this, but is to keep this creature at bay, she will move around you. And the water. The water sand like thing that appears behind her will turn it into difficult terrain, but that is her doing her best to keep y' all alive. And she can move about 40ft. She'll be here. And Cora will move you here. I'm just gonna keep you a little slightly off so that way you don't have trouble. Yeah, Grabbing your token. Yeah. So, Korra, you see the other thing now as well, kind of lurking and standing in your way. And you can hear Satya go, oh, not another one. Just, just, just, just. Oh, my God. Under her breath. Also, the cat does follow every single time. But, yeah, that is her turn. Very productive turns, y'. [01:03:20] Speaker E: All. All of y'. [01:03:21] Speaker F: All. [01:03:21] Speaker A: Very, very nice. And we're back to the top of the round. [01:03:33] Speaker F: It. [01:03:33] Speaker A: Yeah, no, he's just going to strike. Creature does the. The creature in front of him does not look good at all. Oh, my God, this thing is barely standing. You'll have to strike again. There you go. You see him? He's a little clumsy. He's a little out of it, but you see him slash almost wildly at this thing, and it finally, finally makes purchase and cuts through something. Some sort of. I wouldn't call it a core, but you could think of it like that. It breaks through something, and this creature stops regenerating, for a lack of better terms, and it is dead. That took all of his turns, though. So he is done. And, Joe, it's your turn. [01:04:48] Speaker F: Great. I think Joe sighs, saying that they're standing there trying to figure out a way if they could just easily run past this and doesn't think they could. And I'm going to use this as a opportunity to do a thoughtful reload where I get to make just this five times. [01:05:21] Speaker A: Oh, really quickly. Compy. Does the frightened status go down? [01:05:27] Speaker E: I believe so. Let me see. [01:05:30] Speaker F: They usually go down beginning of their turn. [01:05:33] Speaker A: Beginning of the turn. That's what I wanted to double check. [01:05:35] Speaker E: Like unless like it has something specific on my end. So I would imagine it's whatever is standard. [01:05:40] Speaker A: Okay. I'm gonna do it as beginning of the turn because I. Yeah. Don't think it. Yeah. It just doesn't make sense. [01:05:48] Speaker G: Keep going. [01:05:50] Speaker F: It's gonna be thoughtful reload. Which basically what happens. I get 10 to recall knowledge check on a target while doing a reload. And I would like to recall knowledge on this while I put a spell strike ammunition to my gun. Would this be like an arcana check? [01:06:15] Speaker A: What are you trying to deduce here? [01:06:18] Speaker F: How to kill it. [01:06:19] Speaker A: How to kill it? Arcana survival, occult, religion. If you'd like. I'd allow those warfare or some type of lore like that. If you have like a monster hunting lore, you have a. Whatever. I would also allow that. [01:06:35] Speaker F: What about poetry, Laura? [01:06:38] Speaker A: Unfortunately you know what? This creature might be poetic to you if you found human centipede any types of alluring. But otherwise I. I doubt it. [01:06:50] Speaker F: Do a revolution check. That is going to be a 24. [01:07:01] Speaker A: You think for a moment you understand one thing. That there is something controlling this being. And I can say that you can put two and two together. Tender flesh can do crazy things. This is a godlike being. You're not fighting her. This is not her. This is not the tender flesh. This is perhaps victims of her. She intends to keep you. She intends to keep you all. How to kill it? You're pretty sure it's. It's a matter of brute force is the best way to kill it. More damage the better. You can turn behind you even and see like you probably saw Satya blast this. You saw Shrike literally cleave half of it and shove it. So it clearly these. This thing can be pushed back in some way. But you're pretty sure the more damage done the better. It's. It's not endless. I would say at this point it's. You're damaging something. Just that thing isn't necessarily physically here. [01:08:19] Speaker F: Great. Then as Joe is reloading the spell strike ammunition, the spell in it is starting to activate. And so Curio would notice that there seems to be now like a rush of like a wind or a strong breeze coming through as I'm going to spell strike spell shot rather than gale blast at this thing. So I get to use my weapons Attack roll. This is like a spell strike just with a gun. Wow. A plus 20 the hit. Jesus Christ. Damn. That was almost a Nat20. However, it is still a 38 [01:09:12] Speaker A: crit. [01:09:19] Speaker F: I love spell shots. I love. [01:09:23] Speaker A: As soon as you said you have plus 20 to hit, I was like, you really gotta suck to not hit this thing right now with it's too frightened. [01:09:31] Speaker F: Oh, great. It needs to make a Fortitude SA against a DC 2419. It fails. Great. [01:09:45] Speaker C: Cool. [01:09:45] Speaker F: So cool. Great. A lot of shit's going to happen. So it's gonna take double damage from Gale blast, deadly D, fatal D8 from the gun, which means that instead of two D4, it's gonna be two D8 plus an additional D8. Let me just start rolling dice [01:10:19] Speaker A: donuts. [01:10:24] Speaker F: It's good. Jesus Christ. So just on the weapon damage that's going to be before doubling 23 and then is going to take 10, 18. 20 plus 20. So 46 plus 40. So that's 86 and it failed. And it's also pushed five feet away from in the direction. So 86 damage and it's moved away. [01:11:06] Speaker A: So what does this look like? You have not killed it. You've blasted the biggest hole you could into it. The best way to put it is like the. Like. Like when you finally get to use the record Qum gun In resident evil 9, this is the type of damage you're doing to it. So what does this look like? [01:11:35] Speaker F: I think as though Joe is getting ready to fire that shot. The all the breath, the wind and the gust, like, flows into the barrel of the gun and then it shoots out and it basically cleaves this thing [01:11:52] Speaker C: in two, [01:11:54] Speaker F: like, and pushing it away, outward, like away from the entrance. [01:11:59] Speaker A: Away from the entrance. So maybe like here. So it gives you a bit of a clear in. Again, I don't know how to shrink the token on the fly, but it would be shrunk a little bit more in this case. But you 100% cleave this into and it's. It struggles. There's body parts all over the place. A little bit more slime as well as it wasn't expecting an impact like that at all. And it is struggling to push itself back together. How many actions was that? [01:12:43] Speaker F: That along with the reload. That was all my actions. [01:12:46] Speaker A: All your ass. That's very good. [01:12:48] Speaker F: I think I'm just gonna tell the curio better run fast. [01:12:54] Speaker G: Sounds good to me. [01:12:57] Speaker A: See, I gave it. I gave y' all like some. Some. Some stuff to hit because I was specifically waiting for the guy with the magical gun to do something. I just want you To. [01:13:11] Speaker G: I just want you to know because [01:13:13] Speaker A: the rest of you can do a lot. A lot as well. But I just wanted. I just wanted Mandy to experience a gun. [01:13:21] Speaker F: The spell strike ammunition is great because it's usually a spell shot. Takes three full actions for the spells shot like dedication. This allows it to be a two action thing instead of like two attacks. [01:13:34] Speaker A: So yeah, yeah. That's why I gave it to you. Just let you be cool for a bit. It is Papadon's turn. Papadon sees what's going on. Heard. Heard that bullet goes and is going to just telekinetic projectile. The one. [01:14:03] Speaker G: The. [01:14:03] Speaker A: The remaining creature that is on Tic Tac to help. Ah, yes. Okay. He finally hits. So you see him, he blasts. He keeps his. His courageous anthem going up. And that will be his full turn. He deals a bit of damage also blasting off maybe the other ear of this. Of this creature. And that is Papadon's full turn. Tic Tac. It's your turn. The thing in front of you does not it. I would say it's bloodied you. [01:14:43] Speaker C: You could. [01:14:44] Speaker A: You can tell that it's. It's. It's having a difficult time holding itself together. [01:14:56] Speaker B: Yep. Also, people are getting too far, far ahead of me. So for my first action, I will interact to pick up my longbow. For my second action, I will use a skirmish strike. Wait, let me double check. You can only use a flourish once. Yeah, only one action with flourish. Straight pearl round. Think you have the. The opener or whatever is the other one that I don't think they actually use anymore. But yes. So I will. Why are you not. [01:15:42] Speaker D: Oh, [01:15:44] Speaker B: it's like. [01:15:45] Speaker C: Okay, [01:15:48] Speaker B: so I will strike and then step. I may not need to step. So that is a 38 with a natural 20. [01:16:06] Speaker G: Let's go. Let's go [01:16:12] Speaker B: for 34 damage. [01:16:15] Speaker C: You want to pull a card? [01:16:16] Speaker A: That's your. That's. I'm going to draw a card. Yeah. That was your critical damage because obviously that's [01:16:22] Speaker G: actually. [01:16:22] Speaker A: Wait, let's see what you do. This was a melee, right? What. What type of damage? Bludgeoning, piercing, slashing, Slashing, Slashing slay. Normal damage. The target is enfeebled three until healed. [01:16:40] Speaker G: Yeah. [01:16:40] Speaker B: Which takes me about ea. And that is my turn. [01:16:49] Speaker A: That is your turn. Jesus. Kinesis Curio. It's your turn. You just watch Joe regular guy Joe pull out a gun. And in a setting where magic is so crazy and powerful, it's funnier when they actually, actually you look at this weapon and you go, oh, that's a Gun. [01:17:16] Speaker G: Oh, like, I know what that is. [01:17:18] Speaker A: I know what a gun is. Yeah. [01:17:20] Speaker G: Okay. Interesting. [01:17:22] Speaker A: And I would say Satya, who is quite close to you, is very confused at what just happened, but is like, that's a big blast. It must be some sort of magical wand or something. [01:17:34] Speaker G: Okay. [01:17:35] Speaker A: But in a fantasy setting with heavy magic, the gun is always the funniest option. [01:17:41] Speaker G: I think. I think it's clear to Joe Curio, looking at what Joe is doing, there is recognition. And with that. So the giant mound of people, question mark is still ahead of us, Correct? [01:18:01] Speaker A: Yes. You could run around it, but it looks bad. [01:18:06] Speaker G: Oh, no. I'm gonna blast this thing. [01:18:09] Speaker A: Yeah. I was gonna say it looks so blastable right now. [01:18:14] Speaker G: The temptation for Fireball is so strong. However, I don't want to kill all the people around me, so. And myself. [01:18:21] Speaker A: So this thing is really big. You. You can get creative with how you decide to use Fireball. [01:18:27] Speaker G: Yeah. But Fireball is a 20 foot burst, and I think that's larger than the area in which we're standing. Or is it the size of that creature? Let me. [01:18:40] Speaker A: Let me. Let me measure for you. [01:18:42] Speaker G: Yeah. [01:18:43] Speaker F: Because the distance and I. Or Joe and you. You should do it. [01:18:50] Speaker A: Actually, if you hit it right there. It does. That's how big it is. It's not gonna hit you guys. [01:18:56] Speaker G: Excellent. Never mind. I'm gonna. I was gonna do something else, but this does too much damage for me to. To not want to do that. So. Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna fireball this thing. I think I pull from the fire that is myself, and it just builds kind of like a. Kind of like a snowball or like water bending when you're building, like the ball of water as it's moving through the air, it's turning it to fire. Or rather it is fire than water. And. Yeah, I'm just gonna. I'm gonna. I'm going in blasting. So it needs a basic reflex [01:19:41] Speaker D: save. [01:19:44] Speaker G: I need to see where the DC is at. I think it's a spell save. DC, right. So that's 27. [01:19:56] Speaker F: Cool. [01:19:56] Speaker A: It will critically fail. [01:19:59] Speaker G: Excellent. So, yeah, I'm a cast that. [01:20:05] Speaker A: Does it say one second. Does Fireball say what happens if they. [01:20:10] Speaker E: Like [01:20:13] Speaker F: a critical fail? Should be double damage. [01:20:17] Speaker C: Basic. It's double normal, half, none. [01:20:21] Speaker A: Okay. [01:20:22] Speaker G: Double. [01:20:23] Speaker F: So 30. [01:20:24] Speaker G: Why does it say I take 38 damage? [01:20:28] Speaker A: Oh, I think that would maybe. Perhaps that was meant for me, but I. [01:20:33] Speaker G: Don't worry. [01:20:34] Speaker A: You did not. [01:20:35] Speaker E: You did. [01:20:35] Speaker G: Okay. [01:20:37] Speaker A: You did not. You did not. [01:20:38] Speaker G: Okay, just. [01:20:40] Speaker A: Just. [01:20:40] Speaker G: Just make sure that doesn't back up to 43. Yikes. Yeah. [01:20:44] Speaker A: Yeah, it did that. That was not. Don't worry. Don't worry about it. Anyways, what does it look like? You kill this thing? [01:20:53] Speaker G: I think it. Yeah. Just engulfs it in flame, and it's gone. [01:20:59] Speaker F: Ooh. It could absorb all the remaining air oxygen that I shot at. [01:21:06] Speaker A: Could. It could. [01:21:08] Speaker G: Bigger explosion. [01:21:10] Speaker A: The explosion is crazy. [01:21:13] Speaker G: Yeah. It goes up the walls and up to the ceiling because it's. It's so big that it kind of goes up. [01:21:20] Speaker A: I would say that you see an [01:21:21] Speaker G: explosion in a small place, it moves because of the air. [01:21:24] Speaker A: Yeah. It illuminates this area pretty well for y', all, actually. Well enough for the two of you to see that exactly where you. Where the. The. The entrance is or the exit is. And you can watch the exit in real time start to close. [01:21:45] Speaker G: Oh, fuck. Okay. [01:21:47] Speaker A: Yeah. And this thing, though, is dead. This thing is dead. It reels back, all the way back, and slinks back into the. The slime as if it wasn't there. Well, that's a lie. There's so much burnt shit around. [01:22:04] Speaker G: I think I technically have one last action, if I'm not mistaken. Yeah. Fireball only takes two. Now that I have done that, I'm running. I'm running absolutely the 25ft in this direction because that's as far as I can go, and that's my turn. [01:22:27] Speaker F: Am I able to say something? I just. I. I mean, seeing. Seeing that, I'm just gonna yell behind me, exit's closing. [01:22:40] Speaker A: And anybody that is behind sees that creature that was poisoned straight up, starts to burn and melt from the inside out, and it, like, falls to the ground, turning into a different type of goo as Summer's poison did. Just enough to officially kill it. Crazy poison. And then you call out and say that the thing is closing, and she gets very worried, per se. See, she's going to spend her actions like running all the way to. To the exit, and as she kind of runs, she's kind of yelling, just blast the exit. Keep hitting it until we're all out. Anyways, it's your turn, Cora. You understand what's happening? You also just watched everybody blow something up. [01:24:10] Speaker D: Yeah, but that's all well and good, but I also got this really judgmental look from this cat. And so in my invisibility, I am going to cast glamorize on myself. And the next time, I sort of reappear into everyone's visual range, instead of the sickly orange eyes that Korra has had her Eyes will be like a nice entrancing gold. And then I will swap from. No, I'll stay on Satya. That's my turn. Other people can do the fighting. We're good. [01:24:54] Speaker A: It is actually the other gigantic creature's turn. So. [01:25:01] Speaker E: The immobilized one. [01:25:03] Speaker A: The immobilized one. [01:25:04] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:25:04] Speaker A: Unfortunately, I believe it has a reach. Let me see. [01:25:11] Speaker C: It probably does, being that big. [01:25:15] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:25:16] Speaker A: That's okay. It really. Okay, here's what it's gonna try to do. It's gonna try and demoralize Compy and Shrike. As it kind of lurches in such a way, its body, its structure is quite disturbing. [01:25:39] Speaker G: And. [01:25:40] Speaker A: And then one of. One of the heads pops up like it's pulling away closer to you all. And it will smile because it remembers how to smile and say, Even if you run, we'll always be here with you. So it's gonna try and demoralize you both. Let's see if that works. [01:26:18] Speaker E: Is this just like a standard demoralize or is it a manipulate or attack? A ranged attack by any chance? [01:26:26] Speaker A: It is a. I believe it's. It's just a standard demoralize. But either way, a 17 is not gonna do it. I don't think a 17 is gonna do it for anyone here. [01:26:39] Speaker E: Probably not. Is it also a magical mental effect or is it just again, like an intimidate roll? [01:26:47] Speaker A: It is. It's a mental effect, but it's just like a full on intimidate check. [01:26:54] Speaker E: But it's not magic. [01:26:55] Speaker A: No, not magic. [01:26:56] Speaker G: Okay. [01:26:57] Speaker A: It's telling you a truth. [01:26:59] Speaker E: Just checking. I have things that could have been triggered. [01:27:04] Speaker A: Yes, Yes, I believe so. You are a Magus. [01:27:07] Speaker G: I got a lot of stuff. [01:27:10] Speaker A: And now I believe this next attack should also hit Tic Tac. So it's gonna hit this small group of shrike, combi and Tic Tac. [01:27:20] Speaker E: Is it a ranged effect? I'm sorry, we gotta go through this again. [01:27:24] Speaker A: It is a ranged attack. Yes. So you would be basically. [01:27:27] Speaker E: But I'm gonna reactive strike. [01:27:32] Speaker C: I will figure I may have a. A reaction to doom, but only if it hits me. [01:27:38] Speaker G: Okay. [01:27:39] Speaker A: I mean, basic reflex save. [01:27:41] Speaker C: Basic reflex. Okay. [01:27:47] Speaker A: On God. I probably should have just had it whale on you guys. But it can't move. [01:27:55] Speaker C: Okay. [01:27:55] Speaker E: I burned hero point. [01:27:58] Speaker C: That is a 20 for me. [01:28:00] Speaker A: It will hit you. [01:28:01] Speaker B: That is a 40 for me. And because it's a success, I get a critical success as well. But it's also a natural 20. So that's like a triple critical success. [01:28:14] Speaker A: Triple it. [01:28:16] Speaker E: Give it to the next my reactive strike is a 3. [01:28:20] Speaker B: 38. [01:28:25] Speaker A: 38. [01:28:27] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:28:27] Speaker A: To hit it. Yes, you will. You will crit it. [01:28:30] Speaker E: Then that means that I disrupt the action. [01:28:35] Speaker A: Yes, you do. [01:28:37] Speaker E: So. [01:28:38] Speaker A: So never mind. [01:28:39] Speaker E: Aubrey, don't worry about it. [01:28:41] Speaker G: I got you. [01:28:42] Speaker A: Yeah, don't worry about it. Anyways. [01:28:45] Speaker E: Oh, do I [01:28:48] Speaker A: believe so. Yes. That is a strike, right? [01:28:50] Speaker E: Strike. Technically, I don't. Okay, so my spell strike is technically charged, but I don't know if I have to, like, use it. [01:28:59] Speaker C: You can't use spell. [01:29:01] Speaker E: I don't know if I can. [01:29:02] Speaker C: Reaction. [01:29:04] Speaker E: Yeah. Okay. I wasn't. I have no idea. [01:29:06] Speaker C: So it takes two actions, essentially. You see one action. [01:29:09] Speaker A: Okay, perfect. [01:29:10] Speaker E: That's. That's. I just want to be like. It's. I don't know if I have to use it or if I can save it. Okay, great. Because I didn't want to use it anyway. That's gonna be six. No, I can't do math. Hold on, hold on. [01:29:23] Speaker G: Thirteen. [01:29:23] Speaker C: Fourteen. [01:29:24] Speaker E: Fourteen. Hold on, hold on. Stupid, easy math. Can't freaking fourteen. [01:29:31] Speaker A: Slashing. [01:29:35] Speaker E: Oh, wait. Doubled. So twice that. Twice that. 28. [01:29:43] Speaker A: 28. Okay, it's still standing. It doesn't look good at all, y'. [01:29:49] Speaker E: All. [01:29:56] Speaker A: And that's its whole turn. Strike. Your turn. [01:30:03] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:30:04] Speaker C: I don't know if this thing has a reactive strike, so I don't want to. But we are. We're also told that the way out's closing, right? [01:30:18] Speaker G: Yep. [01:30:19] Speaker C: All right, so I think I will just take a chance that this doesn't have a reactive strike, and we will triple move. [01:30:32] Speaker A: And it does. [01:30:33] Speaker C: Cool. Roll that. [01:30:40] Speaker A: There's a 36 hit. [01:30:42] Speaker C: A 36 will hit won't crit. And I will take the chance and use my reaction for destructive vengeance. My champion reaction. [01:30:53] Speaker A: What does that do? [01:30:57] Speaker C: So I will increase the amount of damage I take by 3d6 plus 1. But I will deal 3d6 plus 4 spirit damage to the triggering enemy. [01:31:11] Speaker G: Okay. [01:31:12] Speaker A: Do you want me to roll that 3D6 or are you gonna roll the 3D6? [01:31:16] Speaker C: I was gonna roll the 3D6 if you want. You can roll how much the extra damage I take in, so. Because they are two different roles. [01:31:23] Speaker A: Okay. So I'm just going to put them all up together. You're going to take a total of 31 points of damage as this thing literally just falls on you. [01:31:45] Speaker C: And it is. And it's going to take. [01:31:49] Speaker A: Oh, Compy is riding on you too, right? [01:31:53] Speaker C: Yes. Oh, I apologize. [01:32:00] Speaker A: I will allow a reflex save for you to maybe half this damage. [01:32:10] Speaker E: Nope. A very dramatic Roll to a one. [01:32:21] Speaker C: Very awful hero point. [01:32:23] Speaker E: I already did. [01:32:24] Speaker A: Oh, no, You're. You. You'll. You'll. You'll take the 31 as well. You both take 30 points of damage. [01:32:32] Speaker C: It'll take 18 spirit damage. And it will take two persistent spirit damage. [01:32:38] Speaker A: That's fine. It dies. What does your. It explodes. It falls on you and then explodes into a bodies. [01:32:51] Speaker C: I imagine I'm. I think I'm glowing. I think the tattoos on my back are glowing. [01:33:00] Speaker A: Indeed. [01:33:02] Speaker D: Fellas. [01:33:06] Speaker A: Everything is dead. So I'm going to take us out of initiative here. You know that the entrance is closing. You know where the entrance is? Thanks to the glowing trail. Would you all like to book it? [01:33:22] Speaker G: Yes. [01:33:23] Speaker D: Yes. Yes. [01:33:24] Speaker G: Yeah, definitely. [01:33:26] Speaker B: You mean we're not just going to hang around for fun? [01:33:30] Speaker A: That's what I was asking. You know, like, I just wanted to double check here. [01:33:33] Speaker F: Joe's the one telling y' all to move. Joe doesn't have fun. [01:33:38] Speaker A: That's right. Joe is just a guy [01:33:42] Speaker E: with a gun. [01:33:43] Speaker A: And with a gun. So let's. Let's get down to business. All right, you're all running. What are you gonna do about the entrance? Because it is closing and it is. It's definitely not going to stay. Blasting it. Thank you. [01:34:02] Speaker G: Blasting it. Blasting it. [01:34:03] Speaker C: Blasting. [01:34:04] Speaker G: Blasting it. [01:34:04] Speaker A: Yep. Yep. Keep. What are you blasting it with? A cantrip, I'm assuming. [01:34:09] Speaker G: Yeah, I'll just use ignition. [01:34:16] Speaker A: Anybody going to help with the blasting here? [01:34:19] Speaker F: I mean, I could just also cast gale blast as well. [01:34:23] Speaker A: Again. [01:34:24] Speaker E: I'll blast when I'm what's in range. [01:34:26] Speaker A: Blast when in rage. [01:34:27] Speaker B: Good. [01:34:28] Speaker C: If I need to. I'll hold things open with my strength. [01:34:33] Speaker A: When you try. I will say when you try to do that. It is slime. Again. It is slime with the structure. So now I would say you kind of understand what the is going on with this weird cave system. It shouldn't feel like that. It shouldn't feel like it's ready to do you ever see Attack on Titan? [01:34:53] Speaker C: Yes. [01:34:53] Speaker G: Oh, yeah. [01:34:54] Speaker A: Yes. It shouldn't be doing that. And so maybe you don't want to touch it. Shrikes. You blast it. You blast it. You blast it. You run through. You're all making. I'm assuming you're all making sure you all get out. Correct. [01:35:11] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:35:12] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:35:13] Speaker A: I just want to double check any underhanded tactics and you're out. [01:35:19] Speaker E: Do we. Do we know that Korra made it out? Because Korra is invisible. [01:35:27] Speaker A: Korra said that she would also start blasting. And I believe as soon as blasting happens, invisibility drops. [01:35:36] Speaker D: I was doing it at a higher level. So invisibility does not drop. But Korra will drop it after. [01:35:41] Speaker G: It drops after a minute. [01:35:42] Speaker D: So Korra will drop it. [01:35:43] Speaker A: Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay. Fair, fair, fair. You blasted. You blasted. And for the first time in a week and a half, your skin touches the sun. And you are perhaps reminded why people worship the sun. It is this warmth that you miss. It feels too bright, but you missed it anyways. And in your heads it all rings together. The sun, oh, the sun. My lover, we have returned. [01:36:36] Speaker E: The sun, oh, the sun, My lover, we have returned. [01:36:44] Speaker A: Yeah, sure. [01:36:45] Speaker E: Thank you for joining us here at Gavels and Gays. This has been Brian in the Charnel House with our lovely GM Aki and all of our lovely players. And our guest, who's also quite lovely. Join us next time while we, you know, eat more slime, fight more slime, blast more slime into a million pieces as one does. [01:37:03] Speaker G: Bye. [01:37:07] Speaker D: Okay, now, Ferris, you have learned at this point that one should not be eating the slime, right? I don't know. [01:37:12] Speaker E: Maybe we should keep eating slime. I could not say. I could not say. It.
