[00:00:43] Speaker A: Wake. Enough dreaming, doctor. Alone I cannot find meaning hold my hand let me stare by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me demon tells me in this red light it calls me he is reaching out consuming. [00:01:27] Speaker B: This heart hello, everybody, and welcome back to Tyrant of the dark star. I'm Aubrey, your gm. I'll tell sophomore players to introduce themselves, tell you who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get into things. [00:01:45] Speaker C: Hi, my name is Aki. Pronouns are she, her, and I am playing gravewing, who is our monk, kinesis. Uh, that's it. That's all you get to know about her. [00:01:59] Speaker B: Oh. [00:02:00] Speaker C: Also uses she her pronouns. [00:02:03] Speaker D: Hi, y'all. I'm alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play laith, idrisi, our dampier, dandy, and rogue. Who uses she any pronouns? [00:02:15] Speaker E: It's me. Hello, I'm dusty. I use they he pronouns, and I'm playing eurydox, just eurido for now. They also use they he pronouns, and they are going to be our blood hunter. [00:02:30] Speaker C: Hello. [00:02:31] Speaker A: I am ferx. I use she her pronouns, and I am playing Alouette, Valer, the nephilim, I think is what they're called now, thaumaturge, who also uses she her pronouns. [00:02:44] Speaker B: Hello. [00:02:45] Speaker F: I am Sparlock. I use he himself pronouns. I am playing Alistair Whiskerfield, the renowned wizard and investigator who uses he him pronouns also. [00:03:00] Speaker B: But before we get into everything, I'm bringing back something from what we used to do. We're going to do some RP questions again every couple episodes. And the question for this one, I feel is very good for starting things off to, you know, get a good feeling of these characters is what Major Arcana do you think represents them best? And I am looking forward to people's answers. So who wants to start? [00:03:45] Speaker E: I put an order in chat for a reason. [00:03:49] Speaker C: I don't have chat open. So it's you. [00:03:51] Speaker A: You're the winner. [00:03:54] Speaker E: No, I don't see Alyssa doing it. [00:03:57] Speaker D: Why do we not just follow the turn order? Yeah, fine. [00:04:00] Speaker A: I mean, I was gonna follow the turntooth. [00:04:01] Speaker B: You can't tell Spy Lake doesn't have their camera on. [00:04:04] Speaker D: Yeah, that picture doesn't have a finger with a nose. But Laith is the devil. [00:04:15] Speaker E: From the Bible. [00:04:17] Speaker C: From the Bible. [00:04:19] Speaker A: Lucifer. [00:04:24] Speaker D: Oh, did we have to, like, give explanations? I feel like that's pretty self explanatory. [00:04:29] Speaker E: I was going to ask if you're going to go in depth, you don't. [00:04:30] Speaker B: Have to upright, you know, I'm guessing. [00:04:37] Speaker D: Yeah, for now, upright, which is, you know, addiction, materialism, playfulness. It's fine. [00:04:44] Speaker A: Yeah. Annalette is the fool. I don't think that needs any explanation either. Both upright and reverse. She is just all of the fool. It doesn't matter how you draw it. It's going to be her. [00:05:02] Speaker E: Aki, you go because I'm debating which one to choose. [00:05:05] Speaker C: I'm also debating. And I'm doing two peoples because tick isn't here and I'm doing ticks as well. So I'm debating. [00:05:14] Speaker E: Well, then I'll go then. So I'm debating. It's somewhere between the emperor or the reversed or. No, not the reverse. The emperor are the tower. [00:05:36] Speaker D: Hey, what's up with Yuri? Are they okay? [00:05:39] Speaker E: No, they're not. [00:05:44] Speaker A: That's all. [00:05:44] Speaker E: It's. It's episode three. They're not okay. It's episode three. See? [00:05:53] Speaker C: So I have a very. I'm gonna. I'm gonna, like, put it in chat. My fucking joke. Because it's very specific. And if. If you watch the show, then you're gonna know exactly what Yuri's playing. So I'm gonna just put that in a chat later. So for gravewing, I'm debating between hanged man and empress and judgment because all three work very, very well. I feel like hanged men is probably number one right now just because it feels correct. But those are my three. And explanation. Hangman is about martyrdom and sacrifice. Judgment is self explanatory, very different from justice. I just want to point that one out. And then empress, because I call her moth mom, like all the time. And that will come in way later. And then for niall, uh, I just kind of want to be a dick and stick with the lovers for very self explanatory reasons. [00:07:21] Speaker E: That works very well. [00:07:22] Speaker C: If I had to put one for Jess, Nile, though, like, take schism out, magician upright. It's all about creating. [00:07:35] Speaker F: I will go next just cause I want to say that I wish my microphone had been on because I laughed so hard when you said the lovers for Nile. Oh, my God. I think thanks to Aki's knowledge, kind of nailed Alistair as the hierophant inverted with the rebelliousness and new methods is an excellent choice. [00:08:17] Speaker B: It'll be very interesting to see if any of these answers change and what they change to. Maybe I'll ask this once a season. Who knows? But yes. So we don't have our usual recap person here today who would like to tell me what happened last time? [00:08:40] Speaker A: I can do it. I take notes. [00:08:41] Speaker B: Hey. [00:08:44] Speaker A: Okay, so last time, Akaos showed the group out, and they carried unconscious alouette out and passed all the way to an entrance that is marked with a symbol of the fox, which is a deity of tricksters. Trapdoor bids them all down into the sewers, which, according to Akkos, will lead us to starlight bastion. Follow the fox if we have any doubt. However, Akos didn't come with us for some reason. Weird. Anyway, that's about all that matters to that, and we descend into the sewers. There's a lot of conversations people discuss, rumors that they had. There's an attempt at some healing that goes around. Yeah, an attempt. And they talk about the sewers and the dangers that might be down here, and then. Oh, no. Oh, look. Dangers. Dangers have arrived in the sewers. Some of us, I won't say who, have less than ten hit points, but it's fine. We're gonna fight some slimes. [00:09:55] Speaker B: Gotta fight two slimes, to be exact. [00:09:57] Speaker A: It's two too many. [00:09:59] Speaker E: Oh, I didn't see the second one. [00:10:01] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, there's two. [00:10:04] Speaker E: Oh, no. [00:10:05] Speaker A: They both are unfortunate and have too many eyes. Question mark. They look like seaweed. They look like seaweed with so many eyeballs. [00:10:17] Speaker B: That's soar ooze. [00:10:19] Speaker A: I don't want to. [00:10:21] Speaker F: Maybe they're friends of Nile's, here to help. [00:10:24] Speaker A: Let's throw the cook at them and see what happens. [00:10:28] Speaker C: I wonder where they got all those eyeballs from. [00:10:31] Speaker A: They remind me of the zerks from stray. But, like, with sewer mush in between them instead of. [00:10:38] Speaker B: I can see that. [00:10:39] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. [00:10:40] Speaker B: Why don't you all roll me initiative? [00:10:42] Speaker A: No, thank you. [00:10:44] Speaker C: I have a question. Is Niall actually in this fight or. [00:10:47] Speaker B: No, um, they will be. I'm not gonna kill Tick's character when they're not here, but, you know, they'll. They'll be wandering around at least. [00:10:56] Speaker C: Okay, I'm assuming you're gonna be controlling them, then. [00:10:59] Speaker B: Yeah, I can do it. [00:11:00] Speaker C: Dope. [00:11:01] Speaker F: Hey, we're off to a strong start. Again. Natural one, two. Natural one. [00:11:11] Speaker C: Oh, my God. Tick, sluck. And they're not even here. I really is just. [00:11:16] Speaker E: Who speaks Italian? [00:11:18] Speaker A: Oh, boy. I got a 17. [00:11:24] Speaker C: Oh, my goodness. Y'all, stop. [00:11:27] Speaker A: We're in trouble. We are in so much trouble. So anyway, so my backup character is named. [00:11:38] Speaker E: I got a 21. [00:11:40] Speaker B: 21, thank heaven. [00:11:41] Speaker A: Thanks, somebody. [00:11:42] Speaker C: 23. Yeah, 19 on the die. [00:11:51] Speaker B: Well, so that means that graveling will start us off. [00:11:58] Speaker C: Fear. Okay, so I think what makes sense is as we were walking through the sewers, gravewing had turned off her kinetic aura or dispersed it, because the last thing we need is a very visible draft. And also, we're in the sewers. I don't want. I don't want any of that. I don't want any. Any of that air, actually, that's not for me. So I'm gonna turn. I'm go. I am going to. Oh, my God. What is the move called again? Channel my element. There you go. Which is air for one action. And then I'm gonna do a two action elemental blast on the one. I'm going to say that it's behind me because this is the one that is in front of Nile. And I would have been like, because I was holding Nile's hand while we were walking, because Nile cannot see in the dark, so that means they would have been behind me while we walked. So in this case, I'm going for the big ooze behind. Oh, that's nice. 21 to hit 21. [00:13:33] Speaker B: 21 will be a critical hit, but unfortunately, the UzAs are immune to critical hits. [00:13:43] Speaker A: Oh, Aubrey. [00:13:46] Speaker C: Aubrey. Y'all can't. Listeners can't see the face that Alyssa made. Thank you for review. [00:13:57] Speaker A: Critical edge. [00:13:58] Speaker E: They don't have any vital organs. [00:14:01] Speaker B: Yeah, no. [00:14:04] Speaker C: Thank you, Alyssa. That was my feelings exactly. At least now we know that an eleven hits. [00:14:12] Speaker B: Yes, that's true. [00:14:13] Speaker C: And I really wish tick was in here. [00:14:16] Speaker A: Aw. [00:14:18] Speaker C: The one enemy that guarantee they will almost always hit four tickets. Oh, it really is ticks luck. This is horrible. What? Eight points of damage? I forgot what the damage type is. My bad. Oh, I can chew. I have a question. Now we're in the sewers. There's liquid. Yes. Who's on the liquid? [00:14:59] Speaker B: Kinda. Yeah, they kind of, you know, are partially in liquid, partially out. [00:15:05] Speaker C: So I have the option of choosing my damage type for my elemental blast being either, in heirs case, either slashing or electric. If I chose electric, that will. Will I be able to get environment damage? [00:15:25] Speaker B: No. [00:15:25] Speaker D: Standing in the ooze. [00:15:29] Speaker C: We're not standing in the ooze. This is me trying to pull the thing that happened in Bach once, that I was like, ooh, does this work? And then in environment, like, never played apart again for three years. [00:15:44] Speaker A: You are on a bridge. Maybe there might be a bridge. [00:15:48] Speaker C: That was not the bridge I was talking about when we were on the catch. [00:15:52] Speaker A: Oh, no. I mean, like, right now. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember that. [00:15:57] Speaker B: Um. [00:16:00] Speaker C: Okay, well, then it's just eights. [00:16:02] Speaker B: Yeah. Not really. Cause, you know, they aren't, like, specifically weak to it or anything. And that was all of your actions, correct? [00:16:17] Speaker C: Yep. [00:16:18] Speaker B: Hey, that'll bring us to Yuri. [00:16:22] Speaker E: Great. Just kind of reflexively, again, going back to the whole tip of the horn thing. To use my blood. Right. To set this flame of blood. No, set this flame of fire with blood. And then see that, um, graving is hitting the one behind us. And so you're using. Go up to this one and swing. Also, I need to take four points of damage. A twelve. That's it, right? [00:17:08] Speaker B: Twelve hits? Yeah. Cool, cool. Anything above an eight will hit. [00:17:13] Speaker E: Oh, okay, so I need to not get a net one. I said that shouldn't have. Okay. [00:17:19] Speaker C: I wish tick was here so badly. [00:17:22] Speaker A: Oh, my God. [00:17:23] Speaker C: Oh, my God. [00:17:29] Speaker E: That is going to be almost max. Nine plus two plus three. So, 14 damage. [00:17:36] Speaker B: 14 damage. All right, was there anything else? [00:17:42] Speaker E: That was their whole turn. That was all directions. [00:17:44] Speaker B: All right. All right. We come to the first ooze as it just sort of looks at you with these mini teeming eyes. And for its first action, it's going to use filthwave. [00:18:08] Speaker C: No. [00:18:09] Speaker A: No, thank you. [00:18:10] Speaker C: No, no. [00:18:13] Speaker B: So I need everyone to give me a reflex. Save DC 17. [00:18:18] Speaker E: Well, I. Dios me off. [00:18:22] Speaker C: Or what happens? Or what happens? Or what happens? [00:18:25] Speaker B: Or you'll take acid damage. [00:18:29] Speaker C: What is the filth that's coming at us? Aubrey, we're in a sewer. I'm actually. Sewers on lines and veils now because the level of unhygienicness that's happening right now. [00:18:43] Speaker A: I got a natural 20 for a total of 24. [00:18:48] Speaker C: That's very. Thank you. Dice. I think the dice are as upset about the name filthwave as I am. I'm not used to having it this high. I don't know what a math is, so I use. Yes, I do. 28 already. [00:19:08] Speaker E: I rolled a two. Oh, my first one. Next one. I rolled a nine. So it means a 17. [00:19:15] Speaker B: A 17 is enough to pass. So you only take half damage. [00:19:18] Speaker F: 25 for Alistair. [00:19:20] Speaker B: Nice. So you'll take half damage. [00:19:23] Speaker C: 28. Oh. [00:19:27] Speaker D: Oh, no, sorry. You got 28? Yeah, I got an 18. [00:19:33] Speaker B: Right, so you're all just gonna take one acid. Anybody who succeeded will take one acid damage. [00:19:39] Speaker A: Yay. [00:19:40] Speaker B: And then, Yuri, you made it a little upset. So it's gonna. It's gonna attempt to grab you. [00:19:51] Speaker E: It doesn't make fire. Why? [00:19:53] Speaker B: No, don't think. 17 beat your fortitude, DC. [00:20:03] Speaker F: Ugh. [00:20:05] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:20:07] Speaker A: What? [00:20:08] Speaker B: So, yeah, you will now be grabbed. [00:20:12] Speaker E: Thanks. [00:20:15] Speaker B: Uh, and then it is going to attempt to hit you with a pseudopod. [00:20:26] Speaker A: What are these words you're saying? [00:20:28] Speaker B: An Uzi tentacle. [00:20:34] Speaker F: For a 20 with pseudopod. [00:20:37] Speaker B: Yeah, there's a 22. Hit you, Yuri? [00:20:43] Speaker E: Yeah. Yeah, sure does. [00:20:48] Speaker B: So you will take eight damage. Seven of that is bludgeoning, and one of it is acid. [00:20:54] Speaker A: Eight damage. [00:20:57] Speaker E: Cool, cool, cool. [00:21:00] Speaker B: And then that's its turn. And that'll bring us to Lou. [00:21:03] Speaker E: I need a real stuff now. [00:21:06] Speaker A: Wait, that's worse. That's worse. [00:21:09] Speaker C: How unfortunate. We're out of bandages. [00:21:11] Speaker A: I know I can't help you. We canonically said we're out. Um. Um. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Okay. We're gonna explain vulnerability, even though I don't think. I don't think I can make a slime allergic to rats. Uh, what did I get? [00:21:36] Speaker B: What was. [00:21:37] Speaker C: What is that? [00:21:38] Speaker A: Okay, I don't like it. Um. Hold on. I gotta remember how to do this. It's gonna be 17 against the standard DC for its level. [00:21:54] Speaker B: Yeah, that's gonna. That's gonna work. [00:21:56] Speaker A: Whoo. Truly remarkable. Okay, um. [00:22:01] Speaker B: Remember, you're all level two. These. These are low numbers. [00:22:05] Speaker A: Still. I need to know its highest weakness. But not its other weaknesses. Resistance or immunities, just its highest one. [00:22:13] Speaker B: So, like, it's highest save, it just says highest weakness. Highest weakness. [00:22:20] Speaker F: So, um. [00:22:23] Speaker B: I will still. I will give you that. It's fort save is its best save. [00:22:29] Speaker A: Okay. It is great fortitude. Then. And then I'm supposed to. I don't think I can figure out its muscle weakness. So we're gonna go with a personal emphasis. I think Lou's gonna panic because. Yeah. And realize she can't come up with any sort of antithesis, and so she's gonna instead draw in a commonality. This is such a weird idea. Okay, she's gonna blow her nose and squirt the boogers. Not with her bare hands. That's gross. But, like, her skirt. And that is how. That is what the creatures weak to. [00:23:19] Speaker C: What? [00:23:24] Speaker A: I don't know. [00:23:25] Speaker F: You heard her. Weak to boogers that lick. [00:23:28] Speaker A: Squish, squish. Which is somehow worse. Oh, gosh. I have to do more things. No. [00:23:38] Speaker C: Shut up for a second. [00:23:42] Speaker A: It's a slime. And that's. [00:23:43] Speaker C: We're in the sewer. [00:23:45] Speaker A: She's got nothing on her nose. [00:23:47] Speaker C: In the sewer? [00:23:48] Speaker D: No. [00:23:48] Speaker C: You touch your dirty sewer fingers inside of you. [00:23:53] Speaker A: Oh, she, like, blew her nose. I'm like. I don't know, the corner of her sleeve, something that has not touched sewer. We're dealing with slimes. Everything is gross. [00:24:14] Speaker C: We're gonna actually have to. We gonna actually need to use the video footage that we are recording in this because everybody's making really good. [00:24:25] Speaker B: Well, we'll upload some of the best clips to Patreon. [00:24:28] Speaker C: The Patreon? Yeah. This is Patreon content right now. Just, just seeing how we're. [00:24:33] Speaker A: I said it was weird. I did say it was weird. I couldn't think of anything. [00:24:39] Speaker C: I understand your logic of the squishy part. It's just. [00:24:43] Speaker A: No. Yeah. No, no, no. For sure. [00:24:45] Speaker D: For sure. [00:24:45] Speaker C: Absolutely. [00:24:51] Speaker A: Okay. I don't want to try to figure out anything else. I'm just going to cast days, which is a two action, and then I'm out of here. Um. Oh, thank you button I got. Did it roll it? [00:25:07] Speaker B: Uh, because it's a will save from about it. It's a basic will save this thing now. Yes, it is my problem. [00:25:13] Speaker A: Second, it's your problem. [00:25:17] Speaker B: It's a 17, so it fails. [00:25:19] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:25:20] Speaker A: Okay, so I gotta roll one d six. That's a three. That's it. That's all I got. Get me out of here. [00:25:31] Speaker B: Yeah. And that'll bring us to the other ooze. Surprise, surprise. Filth wave again. [00:25:42] Speaker E: No, because I'm grabbed. Am I immune? Grabbed by the slime? No, because I'm covered in slime. I've been run with the slime. [00:25:53] Speaker B: No need to make that reflex there. [00:25:57] Speaker E: Okay, I tried. [00:26:04] Speaker A: I don't want us. [00:26:05] Speaker C: I'm very desperately going to use my urine point here. I have a, I have a pretty great reflex. Is just. I'm on edge, I guess. [00:26:17] Speaker A: Hey, does anyone remember what the limit was last time? [00:26:20] Speaker C: 17 last. [00:26:25] Speaker F: Yeah, I'm gonna use a hero point as well. I don't like that natural one. [00:26:30] Speaker A: I go, I'm gonna unfortunately same. No, that's worse. I got the natural one this time. [00:26:42] Speaker C: Oh, dear. 18 for graveling, 29 for Laithe five. [00:26:53] Speaker F: Total 525. [00:26:59] Speaker E: 13. [00:27:04] Speaker B: All right, 13. So anybody. So, Lou, who critically failed, you're going to take six. Acid damage and fall prone. [00:27:15] Speaker A: That's fine. I should just stay there because I'll be dead in a minute anyway. [00:27:20] Speaker B: And you will take a minus ten foot penalty to your speed for 1 minute again. [00:27:25] Speaker A: Fine, I'm gonna be dead in a minute. I'll have to be carried out of here again. [00:27:30] Speaker B: Um, and let's see anybody else who failed. So if you got under 17, you'll take three and if you succeeded, you will take one. [00:27:47] Speaker D: If you crit, do you take zero? [00:27:49] Speaker B: Yeah. If you crit, you take zero. [00:27:52] Speaker C: Okay, so fair, it's secret last time. [00:27:56] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm taking. [00:27:59] Speaker C: What. What is the crit? It's, it's just ten overs. [00:28:02] Speaker B: 27 or above or. [00:28:03] Speaker C: Yeah, I crit last time. Too. So I will just leave. The damage is the same because this time I just pass normally. [00:28:10] Speaker E: Here he is unconscious in a puddle of slime. [00:28:13] Speaker C: No, not just slime. Oh, not just slime. Not just slime. I hope pizza boxes, because I hope this is the type of sewer that some really fucking awesome, like four at least, turtles live in. [00:28:32] Speaker A: Yeah, turtles that want to come help us. [00:28:35] Speaker E: The club douses itself as well. [00:28:41] Speaker B: It's unfortunate. And so then the ooze is gonna slither forward for one action and then it's gonna hit you, graveling, because you attacked it. I don't think an eight will hit you. [00:29:03] Speaker C: No, that's like critical fail. Oh, but we're only doing the fa. The. The quick cards on nat twenties and nat ones, right? [00:29:11] Speaker B: Yeah. All right. And that'll bring us to Lei. [00:29:20] Speaker D: Since Yuri is unconscious. Are they still being held? Like, they're just their unconscious body held in the pseudopod? [00:29:27] Speaker B: Yes, the pseudopod is cradling Yuri's unconscious body very nicely. [00:29:33] Speaker E: That was the first time they've been cradled. [00:29:38] Speaker D: Can I do something to get them out of the pseudopod? Like try and cut it off? [00:29:47] Speaker B: Um, sure, yeah, I'd say. Or you could do that or. Yeah, if you wanted to. It's sort of attempt that to, um, in a way, use the, like, escape action for them. Yeah. [00:30:09] Speaker D: What is that? Like acrobatics or athletics? [00:30:13] Speaker B: Acrobatics, athletics or unarmed strike. [00:30:17] Speaker D: Okay, I will. Unarmed strike, I guess. [00:30:24] Speaker B: 1515 versus its. Yeah, that's a critical success versus. No, it's not critical success, but it's a success versus its reflex. DC. [00:30:38] Speaker D: So I like, yeah, I guess I sort of, like, hit at it to get it. To try and release Yuri. [00:30:46] Speaker B: You kind of like, hit it where, like the, you know, in a part where, like, the little pseudopod is like, a little bit weaker. So you can just kind of cut through it and then just Yuri just plop. [00:30:58] Speaker D: And then I would like to grab the Yuri house medical kit. So I will grab the medical kit from his body and look for, like, smelling salts or something in there that I can use, try and use to get him back up. That is a 15 on the dot. [00:31:30] Speaker B: Yeah, that'll, that'll be a success if you got bowel medicine. [00:31:35] Speaker D: I do. What do I treat? Wounds. [00:31:42] Speaker B: I believe it's 2d. [00:31:48] Speaker D: Yuri pops back up with eleven gp. [00:31:50] Speaker B: Hell yeah. [00:31:51] Speaker C: So much. [00:31:55] Speaker E: Yuri opens their eyes and they're about to say something and then just coughs up a bunch of, like, bloody slime. [00:32:05] Speaker D: Leila drops you back into the sewer gug and goes to stab the slime for her last action. Nine plus 09:00 a.m. i at multiple attack penalty because of the escape action. [00:32:24] Speaker B: Yes, you would be. But remember, their ac is eight. [00:32:29] Speaker D: Okay, so that's a 14. [00:32:31] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:32:32] Speaker D: So that still hits for a solid three points of damage because I assume. Yeah, I didn't do anything to get sneak attack and slash. I assume they don't take sneak attack damage. Cause they don't take crit damage. [00:32:50] Speaker B: Uh, they will not take sneak attack damage. Yeah, they're immune to precision damage. [00:32:55] Speaker D: Okay, cool. [00:33:00] Speaker B: And that'll bring us to Alistair. [00:33:07] Speaker F: Yes. Yes. All right, so first action, I'm gonna target the slime that just took down Yuri, and I am going to devise a stratagem. Oh, that's decent. And then as part of that, I can perform a recall knowledge. What would be appropriate for slimes? They more occulty or nature y? [00:33:43] Speaker B: Occultism. You can ring occultism. You can ask one thing. [00:33:55] Speaker F: Do they. They have any resistances? [00:33:58] Speaker B: They do not, but I will tell you, because they don't have any resistances. They'll tell you their immunities. They're immune to acid critical hits. Precision unconscious and visual. [00:34:13] Speaker D: Is being immune to unconscious mean that we just kill them? We just have to kill them. [00:34:19] Speaker B: Yeah, it just die. But they can't be. [00:34:25] Speaker C: They ever sleep? Do they ever sleep? [00:34:27] Speaker B: I don't think so. [00:34:29] Speaker C: Oh, damn. [00:34:30] Speaker B: But it means, like, you can't use effects that would, like, knock someone unconscious or, you know, you can't use non lethal attacks on them. [00:34:39] Speaker F: All right, so that's one action. For my next action, I'm going to to attempt a strike with my crossbow as 19. But only does the regular damage cause no critical hits. And you said no precision damage. [00:35:02] Speaker B: No precision damage, yeah, it will take all eight of that piercing damage. [00:35:13] Speaker F: And for my third action, treating the squares as difficult terrain. Yeah, you know, that's actually a pretty good idea. Um, for my third action, I'm going to attempt to tumble through. That is a 26 against its reflex. DC. [00:35:43] Speaker B: That is a. That is a critical success. [00:35:47] Speaker F: Very nice. I don't think I get anything special for it. [00:35:50] Speaker B: No. [00:35:58] Speaker F: And that puts me on the opposite side, flanking. All right, that will be my turn. [00:36:08] Speaker B: Yeah. We'll move on from the great rat detective to Niall. And Niall is gonna spend their first action to take a five foot step away from the ooze. And we are just gonna cast needle darts at the one that is very near Alouette. And a 21 will most definitely hit. So that will take, you know, watch as the darts come out of the eye, mouth, and hit the ooze. And that is their turn. And then I'll bring. Toss around with bravely. [00:37:06] Speaker C: Hello. Um, okay, so there, uh, the ooze that I was attacking before. Still up and now in melee range of me, correct? [00:37:23] Speaker B: Uh, yes. [00:37:24] Speaker D: Okay. [00:37:25] Speaker C: Um. Great. This thing can't. Can't be flanked, can it? [00:37:35] Speaker B: No, it could still be flanked. You just have to be on the exact opposite side. [00:37:39] Speaker C: Exact opposite side. Okay. I should have enough movement for that. [00:37:44] Speaker B: But I will say because, uh, because lou is. Is currently prone, it will not count for flanking. [00:37:51] Speaker C: I see. Okay, then I'm going to. [00:37:54] Speaker D: Hmm. [00:38:01] Speaker C: Well, you know, it's still within punching distance. Punching would be okay maybe if, like, I aimed for the eyes. Because this ooze art has many fucking eyes. Um, that would probably be better to do, I think, in this scenario, I don't want to touch it. [00:38:27] Speaker E: But you got like, punching gloves or punching bandages or something? [00:38:32] Speaker C: Uh, technically, I don't know, like. No, I just have regular clothes on and, um, something very basic to obscure my face a little bit more. Um, but otherwise, uh, kind of. Kind of stuck with, uh, bare minimum. But like, I'm a monk, so bare minimum is still okay. It's just me. I'm grossed out. I think what I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna. I'm going to two action elemental blast. And then I'm gonna punch it one more time. So that way my multiple attack penalty just hits like that. And I could still get a decent amount of shots on it. So. Yeah, we got two action elemental blast, wherever the fuck that is. There it is. 1215. Yeah, yeah. [00:39:35] Speaker B: Twelve hits. [00:39:36] Speaker C: Okay, good. And because it's two actions, it gets a plus two. Ha ha ha. So that's six points of. Yeah, we'll just stick with electric. Why not damage. And then I'm gonna punch it once in one, one of the eyes and be super grossed out about it. Not 20. So I'm gonna hit it. I know it's immune to crits, but I'm just. I don't need to apply no attack. [00:40:17] Speaker B: It is a not 20. So I will give you a critical hit card. [00:40:25] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, yeah, I forgot about that. [00:40:28] Speaker E: Beheaded. [00:40:32] Speaker B: And you'll get to apply whatever the effect is and bludgeoning, right? [00:40:38] Speaker C: Yeah, it's just my fist for this one. [00:40:42] Speaker B: All right, we'll do ruptured spleen. They'll take one bleed. There's a. And you ruptured it. [00:41:00] Speaker C: Grave. Gravewing with, like, you see her. She. She's she's been up in her little fighting stance. You see her like, punch once and it's. That's like, I would say the kinetic aura right now because she's avoiding disgusting, gross sewer air is. It's. You see, like bolts of, like, electricity kind of just swirl around her. On, off. Sort of like a light switch playing around here. You see her straight up throw lightning with one fist. And then when it gets hit and it's a little distracted, she punches the nearest eye. And, like, studio Ghibli wise, you see. You see all. You see, like, all the goosebumps and her hair move up a little bit. She's like. Cause it's disgusting. [00:41:58] Speaker B: Not a pleasant feeling. [00:42:00] Speaker C: It's disgusting. She pulls her arm out, she's gonna just use her aura to just blast off any of the excess oohs and still feel violated. Um, because slime and ooze. [00:42:18] Speaker B: What was the damage for those five? [00:42:21] Speaker C: Bludgeoning damage. [00:42:23] Speaker B: Yeah. Neither of the oozes are looking that all. That great. And that's your entire turn? [00:42:31] Speaker C: That's my entire turn, yes. [00:42:32] Speaker B: All right. And that'll bring us to Yuri. [00:42:37] Speaker E: Great plan action. Going to stand up. Euron is not even gonna, like, bother with trying to set this club aflame. They're just gonna, like, try to destroy this thing. Oh, 20. Sorry. I had a symbol on it. I tried to figure out what it was. So not 20. [00:43:02] Speaker B: All right, you get the busted shoe skin card. So the until heal the target is clumsy one. And takes a ten foot status penalty. Two inch land speed. So funny enough, that would make it be unable to move because it only has 10ft of movement. [00:43:21] Speaker E: Beautiful. And they're going to take nine damage. Maybe there was just like a bone stuck in it and Yuri hit it so hard he got stuck on the side of the wall. [00:43:35] Speaker B: Yep. You still have one more action. [00:43:38] Speaker E: One more attack. 19. Which I know that hits for an additional seven damage. [00:43:51] Speaker B: All right. Which is enough to deal with that ooze as you just sort of beat it into a Uzi pulp. [00:44:03] Speaker E: Yeah, it's like the scene from power rangers where they're fighting the ooze things, but except it's tiefling with a club. So Yuri, like, sets it down in place and then does a wide swing and then the ooze is just all over the walls. [00:44:19] Speaker B: And that'll bring us to Lou because you dealt with the other one. [00:44:24] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. Okay. So I'm going to, um, I guess stand up one action. And so no longer pro. And then. Oh, we killed the one that I already had exploited. So I'm gonna have to exploit this one below me. Uh, yes. [00:44:58] Speaker B: It's a new mod. [00:44:58] Speaker E: Okay. [00:45:00] Speaker A: And that is gonna be dirty 20. [00:45:05] Speaker B: A dirty 20? Uh, yeah, that's, that's gonna. That's gonna do it. Okay. [00:45:10] Speaker A: I assume it's not a critical. [00:45:12] Speaker B: It is for the, uh, exploit. [00:45:15] Speaker A: Yeah, it's just the standard DC. [00:45:18] Speaker B: It's the standard DC, yeah. [00:45:20] Speaker A: I didn't think so, but I thought I'd check just in case. Okay. And then. So I. You've already told me the weakness. [00:45:30] Speaker B: I mean, their best save is fortitude, their worst save is reflex. I kind of. I'm like, what does it mean by best weakness? [00:45:40] Speaker A: Well, because the way it phrases it later, it's like talking about weakness, I think like vulnerability maybe, or it means something else. [00:45:50] Speaker B: I mean, it doesn't have any weaknesses, per se. [00:45:53] Speaker A: Oh, that's. That's so fair. I guess that's when I improvise a custom one, which I already did. Lou is gonna look really grossed out. And do it again. Lower nose again in the other sleeve and just shudders a little bit. And then I'm gonna use my last action to cause right there. And I have nothing better to do. I'm going to attack it. Now tell me what this means because I can interpret it multiple ways and I'm not sure which one's right. Once you use the personal antithesis, this causes the target creature to gain a weakness against your unarmed and weapon strikes equal to two plus half your level. Is that. Is that going to be three to a. To attack or is that gonna be like three damage? Additional three damage? [00:46:42] Speaker B: It's additional damage. [00:46:43] Speaker A: So that's gonna be actually five because of I'm gonna ring my bell at the same time. So she's gonna ring her bell and she's gonna whack, maybe with a SAP. Please, please, please. Yeah. Oh, so close. That's a natural 19. So. Yeah, doesn't matter cuz I can't credit on it. I mean, I can roll better damage. I didn't realize how much I could stack actually. So it's gonna be, what is the second plus five? So that's gonna be nine. Nine damage, which is the most I've done yet. [00:47:21] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:47:22] Speaker A: And three of those are its weakness. I don't know what that means, but you know, we're learning. [00:47:30] Speaker B: Yeah. And as you, much like your cousin, just sort of turned the ooze into a bit of a messy pulp. [00:47:38] Speaker A: Oh. [00:47:41] Speaker E: That'S good. [00:47:42] Speaker A: Oh, I did it. She's gonna turn around and be like, yay, I did not die, and I killed my first monster. [00:47:51] Speaker E: You're sick. That's a very good job. Look behind you. I'm just kidding. [00:48:00] Speaker B: That's very good. Now take us out of initiative. [00:48:05] Speaker D: Laithe still has the medicine kit that she used to get Yuri up. I'm gonna look through it for bandages and see if I can heal myself. [00:48:14] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Let's say you find some stuff, you know, we'll say like bandages. Bandages. Maybe there's like a cold compress or something like that in here. [00:48:28] Speaker D: I rolled exactly a 15 again, and I healed myself for three points. [00:48:34] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:48:35] Speaker D: But I do find a bandage. I find one single bandage and I glare at Yuri while I, like, slap it on myself. [00:48:43] Speaker E: I think. I mean, Yuri is going to walk up to you and just say, I'm glad you found it. I don't looking, apparently. And they're gonna gently put an arm and shoulder, just like, unsure if they should do this, but they're gonna gently put an arm on your shoulder and like a thank you for getting me up. [00:49:04] Speaker D: Well, we need someone here to roll around with the filth. And I'd rather it be you than me. [00:49:12] Speaker E: They're just gonna turn around and leave. And on your shoulder, sash clothes is now just a bunch of roast slime. Okay, we need to get out of here. [00:49:30] Speaker A: Oh, go ahead. [00:49:31] Speaker C: Um, no, that was just me breathing out. [00:49:36] Speaker A: Uh. [00:49:36] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, yeah, no, uh, this is. This is disgusting. Um, I'm thoroughly grossed out and. And also, I don't think those two like each other. Yeah, that's. That's it. That's it. Everything is weird now and intense and, uh. Look, man, I'm just. I'm just. I'm. I'm just not feeling great after, uh, punching it. [00:50:15] Speaker E: Yeah, no, it. It didn't feel great. To an edge and, like, help me. It was. [00:50:20] Speaker C: Yeah, it did. That didn't look good. [00:50:22] Speaker E: No, no, no. [00:50:24] Speaker F: Um, I rolled through it just like pseudo sl. Like another slime monster, but without the eyes. [00:50:39] Speaker E: Maybe we need to get you cleaned up. I can't be healthy. [00:50:44] Speaker C: This is. Yeah, no, this. This is. You know, this is not my first time fighting, um, a slime. [00:50:57] Speaker D: In this sewers as well. [00:51:00] Speaker C: I. Yeah, in the sewers as well. Um, it's just. It never gets any more comfortable for me. Um, now. [00:51:10] Speaker A: Disgusting. I do not blame you. [00:51:12] Speaker E: I understand that. [00:51:13] Speaker A: And it smells so bad. Dania. [00:51:16] Speaker C: Yeah. Okay, who's. [00:51:23] Speaker E: Oh, look, a fox. [00:51:25] Speaker C: Follow the fox, right? Yeah. [00:51:27] Speaker A: Yep. [00:51:29] Speaker B: So as you start to pick up the trail again, um, who would like to make the perception check to follow the fox. I will say that somebody can make it and then whoever wants can attempt to aid. [00:51:48] Speaker D: I'll make it. Or aid. [00:51:50] Speaker E: I could probably do it. I. I'm an expert in perception. [00:51:53] Speaker B: Yeah, if you want to do it and then, like, you're probably an expert in perception too. [00:51:57] Speaker D: I am, yeah. [00:52:00] Speaker C: Fight, then the enemy should do it. [00:52:04] Speaker D: I think the aid is just us both looking and trying to outdo each other and forcing each other to look harder. People knows we're trying so hard to do it. [00:52:14] Speaker E: How old did you roll? Maybe I'm eighting this time. [00:52:16] Speaker D: Okay, because I rolled really well. [00:52:19] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm eating this time. I rolled a six, but that actually, you know what, I'm not eating that because only gets me to a 14. [00:52:27] Speaker D: So you're actively hindering me. [00:52:29] Speaker E: No, I'm not hindering you. That's not a fail. It's like not a negative. Our critical failure. [00:52:34] Speaker A: No, no. Hinder them. Do it. Commit to the pit. [00:52:40] Speaker B: So what was the, what was the. [00:52:41] Speaker D: Total from length, if I get nothing from Yuri, it's a 26. [00:52:46] Speaker B: 26. Okay, so you managed to find the trail of the fox and continue for you're guessing is another couple of hours of trudging through these sewers. You're relatively sure that you're probably getting close to where Starlight bastion is because you essentially trekked the entire city because Starlight is almost on the exact opposite side as cold iron. So eventually you get to a point where the trail seems to stop. You find the fox and then you go a little bit further and it doesn't continue. [00:53:37] Speaker D: If we circle back to where the last fox was, can we look around to see if there are any trap doors or secrets bricks or something that would let us out? [00:53:49] Speaker B: Yeah. If you want to give me another perception check. [00:53:55] Speaker D: That'S a Nat 20 for 27. [00:53:59] Speaker B: You've probably seen these before. There's probably actually something very similar back in your old home. And it takes you a couple of seconds to find that brick and push it in as sort of the wall slides. You kind of have to grab it and pull it because it's just been so long since it's been used. But there's a ladder leading up. [00:54:26] Speaker D: As we're sort of pulling the wall or before anyone ascends the ladder, I will ask the group. I know that there are a lot of ghouls in starlight bastion now does it, does the time of day matter for that? Is it better to wait until it's more midday to leave Aubrey would I. [00:54:49] Speaker C: Know that because I live there. [00:54:54] Speaker B: Usually the big problem with a constant eclipse is. [00:55:03] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, I forgot about that. [00:55:06] Speaker B: There's no time that's really darkness anymore. And especially an area like starlight doesn't have the lamplighters coming through to light the lamps and keep monsters back. So the ghouls are kind of just wandering around. But also, the great part about it being under quarantine is there's not a lot for the ghouls to pick over anymore. So it's kind of like, you know, in the last of us, where they go through those ruined cities, it's just they're there. They're kind of. They're around, and if they pick up anything, that's when they'll. They'll jump to attention. But not really. They don't really do a lot. [00:55:50] Speaker F: Are we on kind of, like a landing type thing? [00:55:54] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:55:56] Speaker F: Because this might be a good time to stop and heal up before we go into the city proper. [00:56:09] Speaker A: I think we are just done through the smelling salts. [00:56:19] Speaker F: That's right. We don't have any bandages. [00:56:22] Speaker A: We've canonically made this worse for ourselves. [00:56:25] Speaker E: The last one, they've. The last one. What could I say? [00:56:28] Speaker A: We took an infinite resource and we made it finite. [00:56:34] Speaker C: No, it's okay. We totally found another one along the way. [00:56:38] Speaker E: Yeah, there's one in the ooze, actually. [00:56:41] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, that's definitely hygienic and sanitary damp. [00:56:45] Speaker F: Oh, wait, I can fix that, because I do have prestidigitation. [00:56:54] Speaker C: There you go. [00:56:55] Speaker D: Didn't you press the digitate me and. [00:56:58] Speaker A: Please, all of us. [00:57:02] Speaker C: I mean, if we're gonna be healing with these new bandages that we found. [00:57:06] Speaker B: Exactly. [00:57:07] Speaker C: Then we might as well, you know, you like. Precisely. Laithe can heal, or whoever else can heal, and we'll just do this. And while that happens, moth mom's just gonna be like, nah, shit's fucked everywhere. [00:57:25] Speaker F: All right. [00:57:26] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:57:26] Speaker F: So I will press to digitate the bandages and then myself over the minute following that, but the bandages are definitely the priority. [00:57:37] Speaker D: And then the rest of us can. The rest of us can proceed to. [00:57:43] Speaker A: Please spare us. [00:57:44] Speaker F: How many bulk is a person? [00:57:49] Speaker A: Depends on the person. [00:57:50] Speaker B: I say you could do it in a couple of, like, you know, usually in about, like that. Ten minutes or so. [00:57:57] Speaker E: Yeah, that makes sense. [00:57:59] Speaker A: Just so it is not dripping. Please. There's so, so much that is dripping, and I don't like it. [00:58:13] Speaker C: Yeah. Ooze doesn't wash out either. [00:58:17] Speaker A: Oh, I know. Whoever is doing the bandaging should get cleaned up first. Or hygienically. [00:58:29] Speaker C: Well, okay, it depends on what type of. Type of ooze, actually, because there's some very hygienic oozes. But we are in the sewer, so please expect this to not be hygienic at all. Otherwise, you know. [00:58:44] Speaker E: Is it urido again? [00:58:46] Speaker D: No, I don't trust you. It's me. [00:58:50] Speaker E: Do you have medicine? [00:58:52] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:58:53] Speaker E: Okay, cool. [00:58:54] Speaker D: I'm trained. [00:58:55] Speaker A: How did you get up otherwise? Yeah, if she didn't have medicine. [00:59:03] Speaker D: Who needs healing? I know I do. I assume. I know Lou does. Okay, so everyone does. [00:59:10] Speaker C: Alistair. [00:59:11] Speaker E: I think everyone but Eurydo would not take it personally. If you don't heal them, you are. [00:59:19] Speaker A: Technically eligible because battle medicines differ from treatments. [00:59:21] Speaker B: Yeah, this is true. [00:59:23] Speaker A: So if Laithe doesn't do it, your cousin will. Don't worry, I got you. [00:59:31] Speaker D: Okay, so I'm trained, so I can only do the 15 DC. [00:59:34] Speaker B: Yep. [00:59:35] Speaker D: Okay, so first one is I'll do me Lou. Moth mom. Alastair Yuri. Is Niall okay? [00:59:49] Speaker B: Uh, yeah, I was like. I was like, oh, yeah, did he. [00:59:52] Speaker A: Get hit by the wave or did we forget about him during the wave? [00:59:56] Speaker B: I got. I rolled tick stuff during the wave. They're fine. They're like half health. [01:00:03] Speaker D: Okay, I'll just go ahead and heal everyone. Yuri is last. So for me, I got a 17 on the dice, so that works for Lou. I got a 16 on the dice, so that works for moth mom. I'm gonna use my hero point. Moth mom. I got a 19 on the dice, so that works. Alistair. Oh. Oh, no. Oh, my baby boy. [01:00:34] Speaker A: Can I give you guidance? [01:00:36] Speaker D: I got a nat one. [01:00:40] Speaker B: And no. [01:00:41] Speaker D: Hero points and no hero point because I used it to actually be able to heal moth mom. [01:00:47] Speaker A: If you fail at it, does that make Alister immune from other people trying? [01:00:53] Speaker D: I don't know. It means Alistair takes one. [01:00:55] Speaker C: DNA damage. [01:00:56] Speaker A: What? [01:00:57] Speaker B: Yep. Big critic. You've never had to deal with this before. [01:01:00] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:01:00] Speaker B: Cause you'd groomed and gruen's assurance there's. [01:01:04] Speaker E: Too much ooze matted into fur. [01:01:06] Speaker B: Yeah, you just rip out a lump of fur trying to get some of the ooze out. [01:01:11] Speaker A: No, that means it dries in like a gross, chunky way. Oh, man. I just had to clean my cat's butt earlier, so this is unpleasant. Flashbacks to that only one. [01:01:28] Speaker F: Not too bad. [01:01:29] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:01:32] Speaker D: And after realizing that I've hurt Alistair, I will give the kit to Yuri to do herself and. Sorry. I'll give the kit to Yuri to do himself. And niall. [01:01:47] Speaker E: Yuri looks at the now slightly bald spot on Alister's head of all of Alistar's fur just nods. I'm changing dice now because they've been that nice to me. [01:02:03] Speaker C: Damn, y'all really hate rats, huh? [01:02:08] Speaker E: So I got a 15 for myself. [01:02:09] Speaker B: Thankfully. [01:02:13] Speaker E: And a 16 for Nile, so I'm gonna roll those. [01:02:22] Speaker D: Yeah. The people I healed can roll their own d eight s. Is it just. [01:02:26] Speaker C: One d eight, or is it two d eight? Two d eight. [01:02:29] Speaker A: Okay. [01:02:32] Speaker D: Ooh, I got a lot. [01:02:39] Speaker A: Back in double digits, baby. [01:02:42] Speaker E: A Nio gets nine health back. I got 13 health back. [01:02:48] Speaker A: I'm only ten away from being fully healed. [01:02:55] Speaker E: After we're all patched up, could Yorito go up the ladder first and just peek out, see them? Just make sure there's nothing around us. [01:03:07] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. As you do it and you peek out, you see what appears to be some kind of. It's hard to tell at this angle, but it's not outside, which is very helpful. It appears to be some kind of storeroom. [01:03:26] Speaker E: Okay, then you would do, like, very, like, cautiously close the back down and go, like, halfway down the ladder and look down. It's like. It seems to be inside the store, so we should be okay. Okay, this is. Did they say where we were supposed to? Where they're supposed to be? [01:03:50] Speaker F: Let's get it out of here. It stinks. [01:03:55] Speaker E: Okay. [01:03:58] Speaker A: Wait. [01:03:59] Speaker C: What are you trying to ask? [01:04:00] Speaker E: Do we know we're gonna be ending up? [01:04:03] Speaker C: Oh, no, just the district. [01:04:08] Speaker E: Okay, well, I guess I'll go first. So you're just gonna go back up. And very cautiously, if it's like a trapdoor, they're gonna, like, grab it as they're standing up so it doesn't slam down, it doesn't make noise. [01:04:25] Speaker B: Yeah. As you do this and you start climbing out, you notice that you're in a relatively large room. There's crates and stuff. And as you're looking around, you're like, well, maybe it's a little bit more than a storeroom. There's a door that you can see that's been kind of like, some of the furniture has been taken and used to blockade it. And that's when you look up, you're inside of a clock tower, and you can kind of, like, look up and see, like, there's a staircase that winds up, and you can kind of see all of up far above you, all of the gears and everything. And it does appear like you can follow the stairs, and it does appear that there is some sort of. There seems to be more than just a maintenance area up there. Is it running it is not currently running. No one has maintained it in a little bit. [01:05:39] Speaker A: Are there? You said the doors are, like, blockaded with furniture. Are there bodies? [01:05:45] Speaker B: Not that you see. [01:05:47] Speaker C: Do I know where we are? [01:05:50] Speaker B: All of you would be aware that there is a clock tower in Starlight bastion. So you're guessing you're probably there. It is kind of, like, in the center of the district, starlight, because Starlight is one of the original districts of the city. So it used to be like, the city center years and years and years ago before all the rich people decided to go to the other side of the river. [01:06:19] Speaker C: Oh, then I've. I've totally been in here and stuff like that before. Just for work. [01:06:29] Speaker B: Yeah. And, like, even on this area there does look like. Like there's like, chairs and, like, there's a bench or something that's been sort of used to blockade this door. There are barrels and crates here. And it does appear like. Yeah, there is some stuff up above. [01:06:51] Speaker F: What's in the barrels and crates? Are there any torches or candles available? [01:06:57] Speaker B: Not in the crates, but there are definitely torches and candles laid out on the walls. There are torches that you could light. And there used to look to be a table that had just like, some, like, gear, like a clockmaker would use, that has, like, a can, a half lit can, like, half burned down candle on it. [01:07:21] Speaker F: I will grab the candle and a torch, but I will light a candle so that we can kind of take a look around a little bit better or, you know, those of us that don't have dark vision, so, niall. Pretty much. [01:07:44] Speaker B: You could say niall. [01:07:48] Speaker F: No, no. I say for those of us that don't have dark vision, look, may or may not be cannibals. [01:08:00] Speaker B: We're not even here to defend themselves. [01:08:02] Speaker C: Exactly. So we should say it more accidental. Cannibal. Nile surname. [01:08:13] Speaker F: So it looks like someone was barricaded, but we don't see, like, a body, any, like, blood stains or anything to show there was a fight there. Also, anything interesting in the crates? [01:08:30] Speaker B: Um, several of the crates do appear to be. Have some sort of non perishable food. Uh, one of them does appear to have just some. A lot of basic clothing. Uh, and some various other sundries. There's soap. [01:08:52] Speaker A: Soap. Yay. [01:08:55] Speaker B: Uh huh. Um, is there a bathtub? Oh, not. Not down here. [01:09:04] Speaker F: We should. We should go see what happened to the people. They either went upstairs or downstairs. [01:09:15] Speaker E: There wouldn't happen to be like any, like, different weapons lying around? [01:09:25] Speaker B: Give me a perception check real quick just to see if you spot anything. [01:09:29] Speaker E: Big. Oh, 16 on the dice, so 24. [01:09:38] Speaker B: All right. There is a. I will say, just because I love it and it's fun, I'm going to give you. In one of the crates is a frying pan. [01:09:56] Speaker A: Nyla will love that. [01:09:57] Speaker B: Yep. And on the table itself there is a. There's a longsword. [01:10:09] Speaker E: I think, as Eurudo is kind of just like, looking through this stuff. They get the frying pan feels that it's fairly hefty and it's like, cook. I think that's something for you. Sees the longsword. I think I found something for me. Just like a regular. Just longsword, right? [01:10:33] Speaker B: Just a regular longsword. [01:10:34] Speaker E: Cool. And they're picking up, inspecting it. Once Alistair says we should look for the people, I could go check upstairs just to confirm we're alone or not alone. [01:10:48] Speaker C: You also might want to check if there's still people. [01:10:52] Speaker F: Yeah, we should all go. [01:10:56] Speaker B: It is quite a bit of distance. And if you get up there and suddenly there's like six ghouls up there, you're gonna be dead before everybody gets up there. [01:11:05] Speaker A: We do not want repeats of the boogeyman. [01:11:11] Speaker C: What's up with you and boogers? [01:11:15] Speaker E: Oh, no, no, you don't. You don't want to know. [01:11:18] Speaker A: This was. [01:11:22] Speaker E: Yay. That was out of character. [01:11:25] Speaker A: They have the most homophobic. [01:11:28] Speaker C: Okay. [01:11:30] Speaker A: Truly, have you seen the art? [01:11:38] Speaker F: As we head up, Alistair will fill his pockets with random food and just start snacking. [01:11:49] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, a lot of food in here is like, stuff that, like, is very shelf stable and it will keep for a while. [01:11:58] Speaker C: You know, I actually might eat something as well too, because I don't know how long it's been since I have eaten because I don't think they. They don't want to feed me. Well, that's the best way to put it. [01:12:11] Speaker B: So there's a. There's a lot of. What is little better than, like, hard tack and maybe some preserved meats, maybe. [01:12:20] Speaker C: Holy shit. I see the preserved meats and you see mothmom just quietly going, yes, yes, the preserved meats are mine. I'm eating them, that's all. Fuck the rest of it. That's what I'm going for. [01:12:38] Speaker B: I need meat protein. [01:12:40] Speaker F: Hardtack is great. [01:12:42] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:12:42] Speaker F: How? You gotta keep the incisors down. [01:12:48] Speaker C: I've seen a video of someone use hardtack to like, like, like hammer in a nail before. So that. That is my only experience with hard. [01:12:58] Speaker A: Tech, by the way, danger friend, I've eaten hard tech. I've made hard tech. Yeah, for history class, it's basically an unsalted saltine cracker. [01:13:06] Speaker B: Yeah, a little hard. [01:13:08] Speaker A: The longer it sits, the harder it gets. [01:13:10] Speaker C: But when it scratches, that makes more sense because I was gonna be like, then why. Why was it military grade? For real? [01:13:16] Speaker A: Cause it stayed forever. [01:13:18] Speaker C: Yeah, that must have been. That must have been. Oh, man. [01:13:25] Speaker A: No, no, I made it fresh. The only. The worst part about it was that it was bland. It's so there's no flavor. [01:13:33] Speaker B: Literally just like, flour and water. [01:13:36] Speaker A: Yeah, basically. Yeah. The world's worst saltine cracker. [01:13:44] Speaker B: So you snacking on the little bits of food you're able to find, make your way up all of these stairs to this area. And, like, as you get up there, you. You don't hear anything. It's so strange. You're. You're so used to the other districts in the city where it's. You hear things all the time. This district is as quiet as a tomb. [01:14:18] Speaker C: Is normal for me, though. [01:14:19] Speaker B: Yeah, that's fair. But as you approach it, it is more than just a maintenance area. It looks like somebody has essentially built out a place to live up here. There are beds, and there does appear to be. Maybe somebody has. You you can't really tell that there is a tub, but you can't tell if there is plumbing or not. And. But there are beds. There is some stuff here. It looks like whoever was here left in a hurry. You don't see anyone? You don't hear any. [01:15:06] Speaker C: Oh, this place is real nice. [01:15:12] Speaker E: Who would leave it like this? I mean, it looks like they didn't want anyone to get in. But you have someplace that's safe. Why would you leave it? [01:15:23] Speaker C: Oh, that just means this is not safe, that's all. [01:15:27] Speaker D: I mean, presumably it's one of Atkos's friends now. [01:15:33] Speaker E: Well, do not be trusted. [01:15:38] Speaker C: Well, it's not like. It's not like, uh. Oh, God. What is. Okay, buff table. What was Akros's cult called again? Unbroken. [01:15:48] Speaker B: Unbroken. [01:15:49] Speaker C: Thank God. Back in. It's not like the unbroken are the only ones to use the sewers to get around. [01:16:00] Speaker E: The unbroken here. [01:16:03] Speaker C: Everyone. [01:16:06] Speaker D: I think, laithe sort of scoffs when you say, like, here, like, and nods in agreement with moth mom, or I'm sorry. Nods in agreement with grace. [01:16:15] Speaker C: No, it's fine. Man. We'd be calling her moth mom. That's okay, that's okay. That's okay. That's okay. I call her moth. [01:16:22] Speaker A: Several names. Yeah. [01:16:26] Speaker D: But sort of says, I imagine that at least most of the unbroken are smart enough to not leave markers directly into their hideouts, though, you would think. [01:16:40] Speaker F: I mean, there's a reason why they're secret markers. I mean, you know, the rich folk are always hiding things in the currency and the coat of arms. Why would the. Why would other secret societies not do the same thing? [01:16:58] Speaker E: Currency. [01:17:00] Speaker D: Speaking of rich folks hiding things, I am more curious about that secret room that you found. [01:17:10] Speaker F: Oh, it was. It was. Oh, it was terrible. It looked like it was a ritual space of some sort. They. So many bodies. Like, I don't know why they did it. What? Dark God? They were worshiping. [01:17:35] Speaker E: People bodies. [01:17:38] Speaker F: And y'all can't see me. Alistair gets just this far off. Look like he's seen some stuff as a. As a investigator rat. But this was a level above. [01:17:59] Speaker C: Where exactly did you find this place again? [01:18:02] Speaker F: Was in the Skrihabin mansion. In their. In their bedroom off to the side, I found what was left of one of the servant girls. [01:18:21] Speaker C: Aubrey, do. Do I know anything about the scriabins? But besides public knowledge, I'm talking about my. Like, me going undercover and shit. Have I ever like that? That's another good question, I guess. [01:18:45] Speaker B: Heads or tails? [01:18:48] Speaker C: Tails. [01:18:51] Speaker B: So, yeah, you have worked at the mansion before. One thing you do realize is that they changed their staff incredibly regularly. People don't work there for very long. They either get fired or let go, or sometimes people would go missing. But yet again, a lot of these people would be coming from so far away, it usually can just be brushed off as, oh, this happened on the way to work, or happened on their way home. [01:19:31] Speaker C: Then I think graveling will just nod and be like, well, when I was working there, they let me go, like, what, one week? Two weeks, tops? You change your staff a lot. But if what you're saying is true, little mouse, then that might explain why even. [01:19:59] Speaker F: Even, you know, maybe they thought you were too dangerous to fight. Like, you look pretty scrappy. Or maybe they fire people on the. [01:20:09] Speaker C: Regular so that I go undercover a lot. Let's just say I've been in almost everybody's house here. They give the rich people a wink. You can't see the wink. I give you. I give you a thumbs up. Actually, I realize you'll never be able to see the wink. Yeah. I give you. [01:20:28] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:20:29] Speaker C: Finger guns. I give you a finger guns. Like. [01:20:34] Speaker B: Well, you've been traveling for a very long time, and it's probably been for most of you several weeks since you actually slept in an actual bed. The beds here don't look much better than cots, but it's still actual blankets and everything. There's clothes. There looks to be, if you can get the water for it, the ability to take a bath. [01:21:05] Speaker A: I'm gonna find the water. I would like to find the water, wherever it is, whatever I gotta do. If I have to go outside, I'm gonna find the water. Bath time, baby. [01:21:16] Speaker B: That definitely seems like something we can get to next time. As you all sort of settle into take a breath. [01:21:27] Speaker C: You definitely taking watches? Because there's no fucking way I'm spending the night with any of you. [01:21:31] Speaker B: Of course we'll figure out watches next time. And we're yet again out of short. Our usual person to take us out. Who would like to do that? [01:21:44] Speaker C: I'll do it. Thank you for listening to tyrant of the dark star. Come back next week. Or don't. I don't give a fuck. You won't find out what's happening. I won't find out what's happening either. Or maybe I will. Maybe I won't. Have you ever thought about how the government is corrupt? Because this rat sure as hell, dude. [01:22:05] Speaker D: Bye bye. [01:22:17] Speaker A: Through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all these demons it calls me he is reaching out, consuming. [01:23:09] Speaker E: It again. [01:23:35] Speaker A: I'll be open down the darkest dream.
