[00:00:51] Speaker A: Hold my hand let me stir by your side oh, this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me these demons always roam me in this red light because me he is reaching out consuming.
[00:01:29] Speaker B: Welcome back to Tyrant of the dark star. I'm Aubrey, your gm. I will introduce my players, who they are, who they're playing, and we'll get rolling on into things.
[00:01:41] Speaker C: Hi, my name's Aki. Pronouns are she, her, and I am playing gravewing, who is our monk, Kinesis.
That's it. That's all you get to know about her. Oh, also uses she her pronouns.
[00:01:58] Speaker D: Hi, y'all. I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play Laithadrisi, our dampier, dandy and rogue. Who uses she any pronouns?
[00:02:11] Speaker E: It's me. Hello, I'm Dusty. I use they he pronouns, and I am playing eurydo.
Just Eurydo for now. They also use they he pronouns, and they are going to be our bloodhunter.
[00:02:26] Speaker A: Hello, I am ferx. I use she her pronouns. And I am playing aloet Valer, the nephilim, I think is what they're called now, thaumaturge, who also uses she her pronouns.
[00:02:40] Speaker F: Hello, I am Sparlock. I use he him pronouns. I am playing Alistair Whiskerfield, the renowned wizard and investigator who uses he him pronouns also.
[00:02:55] Speaker G: Hi, I'm Tik. I use Heeshide pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, a wonderful flesh warp sorcerer who is definitely not a cannibal at all. Why do you even think that?
[00:03:07] Speaker B: So what happened last time?
[00:03:11] Speaker F: Wow.
[00:03:12] Speaker G: Skippity toilets. Kind of traumatizing. Anyways, last time on this game that we played together, we did some investigating in the wonderful mansion of horrors and nightmares, we checked out the robot. We learned that the guy in charge of this place has some connections to a holy order. I'm going to be honest. Every time we say a name, I forget what it is, but I remember the vibes. So this guy, the professor guy, is connected to a holy order that is kind of cringe. So this is kind of making him extra cringe.
I kind of stuck together at the end, explored, found a Titan's metal sphere, which I want to turn into a frying pan. I know Avril would cry tears of sadness if that happened.
[00:03:49] Speaker C: No, we have to. It's for dungeon meshy.
[00:03:52] Speaker G: Exactly.
[00:03:54] Speaker C: Yes. No. Oh, my God.
[00:03:55] Speaker A: We know.
[00:03:56] Speaker C: If we find more, we're turning that shit into a potential. You guys need to watch dungeon meshy. Hey, you guys have no appreciation for the fine arts.
[00:04:04] Speaker A: Exactly. It's a great show. But he already has a frying pan and.
[00:04:09] Speaker C: But it's a fry. It's such a breakable frying pan.
[00:04:12] Speaker G: Yeah. Come on. Come on.
[00:04:13] Speaker B: Cast iron.
[00:04:14] Speaker A: Cast iron.
[00:04:16] Speaker G: Cast iron is pretty breakable compared to Titan metal.
[00:04:19] Speaker C: Mm hmm. It's not adamantine.
[00:04:21] Speaker G: And we're not.
[00:04:22] Speaker C: We're not cooking bitch boy, regular food.
[00:04:26] Speaker B: Okay, moving on, moving on. What else happened?
[00:04:30] Speaker G: We went up to the second floor, we opened a door, and there were a lot of ghouls in that door. And they had spears and glasses, and one of them threw a glass at Yuri, which is really funny. But honestly, moth mom, Laith and Yuri just went up front and kicked ass while Alistair and I kind of sat back throwing spells and doing shit. Listen, Dusty, stop shaking your head. I'm trying to make you look better than you actually did, all right?
[00:04:55] Speaker E: I did not kick ass.
[00:04:57] Speaker G: You. You got your ass kicked. But I'm trying to be nice. Alistair did kill when Alistair was doing very good too. Alistair. Now we're sitting in the back, minding our own business, not being in melee range because we're both kind of squishy, 5ft apart because we don't like each other. But, yeah, we dealt with a little bit of a ghoul infestation bill. Kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty. Sorry, I see a cat, I immediately react. But we dealt with the ghouls that came out of the room. We kicked their butts. Yuri got put in the murder box for once, and we are now ghoul free and ready to continue exploring this mansion that I am confident has more ghouls in it.
[00:05:37] Speaker B: It's a safe assumption.
[00:05:39] Speaker G: Yeah. It's like how many ghouls are on average or in an average house? 36.
[00:05:45] Speaker B: Yeah. Give or take.
[00:05:46] Speaker A: Spiders, George.
[00:05:48] Speaker G: Yeah. Spider's George.
[00:05:51] Speaker B: So you. Yeah, all the ghouls are dead. And you can kind of see into this rather disheveled dining room.
[00:06:03] Speaker D: From my spot behind Yuri. I will say I was serious, you know, tried to curse you to want to devour flesh. Are you feeling any temptation there?
[00:06:17] Speaker E: Um, Gyrudo, uh, pulls the sword out of the ghoul and the floor, making. That's a squishy noise, and just like, kind of flicks the blood on the ground, just not particularly. Um, but how do you know that?
[00:06:45] Speaker D: Did you not hear what they were saying?
[00:06:49] Speaker E: Not anything I could understand.
[00:06:55] Speaker D: Thank Leith sort of pats you on the shoulder consolingly, like it's okay that you're uneducated and slides past you towards the dining room.
[00:07:06] Speaker E: I wince very hard. Cause that's probably the shoulder that I got bit on.
[00:07:14] Speaker A: Lou's gonna step up. Holding up the first aid kit.
I can help with that.
And then she glances towards gravewing and the rest of the party down the hallway. And I almost said something else, but does not because we're in mixed company. But she's just gonna do.
[00:07:36] Speaker C: I'm actually. I'm not down the hallway. I'm right beside.
[00:07:39] Speaker A: Yeah, everyone else is down the hallway.
[00:07:40] Speaker G: I meant I'm gonna come back. I'm gonna come up to the hallway. Cause everyone's like, oh, coast is clear. Wow, you're gonna look fucked up.
[00:07:49] Speaker E: Thanks. It's my new look.
[00:07:52] Speaker G: I don't think it suits you very well.
[00:07:54] Speaker C: Nah, I think you did great. And I'm gonna pat you also on the wound.
Hang in there.
[00:08:05] Speaker A: We have new hero points yet.
[00:08:09] Speaker C: We should have.
[00:08:10] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm gonna use it immediately. Oh, boy.
[00:08:15] Speaker E: Oh, thanks.
[00:08:17] Speaker A: Oh, no.
The first.
[00:08:22] Speaker C: Yuri just dies right here.
[00:08:25] Speaker A: So it went from a seven to a three.
[00:08:27] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:08:28] Speaker A: So for a total of eight.
[00:08:31] Speaker E: Okay. It's not a crit fail.
[00:08:34] Speaker A: I'm sorry.
[00:08:36] Speaker C: Yeah, but you're just not healing any well. No, we have some potions. That's the only way you can heal.
[00:08:41] Speaker A: She pulls one out of her pocket because Alistair gave it to her earlier.
So I think she tries to do the bandaging and it goes.
She's not handling it very well. I think, like her hands are shaking and stuff and she just ends up. Yeah, yeah.
[00:08:58] Speaker C: It's when you miss the skill check and dead by daylight to mend someone's boots. It goes, like, really loudly, oh, no, I'm done.
[00:09:06] Speaker A: And then she fishes a little bottle out of her pocket and then like, shuffles so that her back is towards like, alistair and hands it to Yuri and says, if Arisa asks, I drank this. Okay.
[00:09:24] Speaker E: Okay. Um. Thank you. Regardless.
[00:09:29] Speaker A: Sorry it's not better. I have to find the booklet again. I don't remember how to do things. Okay.
[00:09:36] Speaker E: Hey, hey, hey, hey. Just Reese, you. You also look pretty sick.
[00:09:46] Speaker A: I'm getting used to that now. I'll be alright.
It just smells bad.
[00:09:53] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. I'm going to, like, uncork the thing with my teeth and down this potion.
What is it? Like a d?
[00:10:03] Speaker B: I think it's two d, eight plus five to the eight.
[00:10:06] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:10:07] Speaker B: It's the lesser.
[00:10:08] Speaker A: Yes, the lesser. It's two d, eight plus five. Yeah, you're correct.
[00:10:11] Speaker B: I.
[00:10:11] Speaker E: Okay, I look a little better. My shoulder still hurts really quickly.
[00:10:18] Speaker C: While you guys are healing and stuff, I'm gonna I'm gonna wave niall over and just be like, you. You do magic, right?
Okay, this is gonna sound weird, but could you put a cantrip in this? And I'm just gonna pass the archaic wayfinder over to you because I keep forgetting that I can store a cantrip in here.
[00:10:47] Speaker G: Oh, yeah? Which one? I have a couple.
[00:10:53] Speaker A: How about.
[00:10:54] Speaker C: So that way we're not talking mechanics. Can you send me your. Your current little, like, list of cantrips and then I'll pick one and, like, off screen or whatever? Because I don't. I don't want to. I don't want to talk mechanics. I just want to make sure I put something in here because I really want to use the wayfinder really badly, you know?
[00:11:18] Speaker G: Yeah. You watch. Is not, like, for flavor text, because I got a flavor tested, of course. You see? Now, like. Like, puts a hand over it, and one of the mouths on their hand opens up and this kind of gross black ichor comes out and slithers its way into the wayfinder and, like. There you go.
[00:11:34] Speaker C: All right, listen here. Um. I don't know. I don't. I don't know. I don't really know shit about magic. Um.
[00:11:44] Speaker A: But that.
[00:11:45] Speaker C: That was. That was. That was magic, right? And you didn't give me, like, a. Like, a disease.
[00:11:51] Speaker G: I promise I did not give you a disease.
[00:11:54] Speaker C: No parasite, no nothing.
[00:11:56] Speaker G: My magic looks a little bit creepy, but I promise it works just like every other magic spell.
[00:12:01] Speaker C: Respectfully. Am I gonna grow a mouth in my hand? Or, like, is that's just a you thing?
[00:12:07] Speaker G: That's just a me thing.
[00:12:08] Speaker C: Okay. Thank you.
[00:12:10] Speaker G: You're good. Don't worry.
[00:12:11] Speaker C: Thank you for. For clarify. Sorry for the questions. I understand it was rather inevitable, but also, it's okay.
[00:12:18] Speaker G: I understand not wanting to grow a lot of mouths. It makes people give you weird looks.
[00:12:23] Speaker C: Look, man, I'll eat your food. I will literally eat whatever you cook.
[00:12:29] Speaker G: Aw.
[00:12:30] Speaker C: But I just. I just. I just also don't I use my hands for things.
[00:12:38] Speaker G: No, I get you. It's just my spells look a little bit strange, but they work nonetheless. I mean, if this was the case, a lot of the ghouls will be growing extra hands because I shot darts made out of the same stuff at theme, and they look just like regular corpses.
[00:12:56] Speaker C: You know what? Fair point.
That's very fair, actually. Yeah.
[00:13:02] Speaker G: I will not.
[00:13:07] Speaker C: Buff table. I'm really excited for this thing. I've been wanting the. I know it's the archaic version, and I want just the regular one where I can start putting on magical stones and basically have sailor moons. Fucking compact. So that's the sole purpose or. Totally spies? Compact. Listen, that's what I'm seeing. Besides fuck it being a compass. It's a compact.
[00:13:30] Speaker G: It is. Also, I sent a list of my cantrips to the chat. You can just pick whichever one you want.
[00:13:35] Speaker C: Thank you.
[00:13:40] Speaker A: I would like to call my cards back to me that I've thrown into bodies and also clean them. Yeah. They're gonna need cleaned, right?
[00:13:49] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:13:49] Speaker B: You can wipe them down. Yeah. Everybody watches as Lou recalls all of these arrow cards back to a deck with seemingly just a thought, and then.
[00:14:02] Speaker A: Just pulls, like, I don't know, a dish rag out of one of the branded tote bags we got from the store.
His friends cleaning them off.
[00:14:13] Speaker E: That's a new one.
[00:14:15] Speaker A: What one? What's new? The totsbag.
[00:14:18] Speaker G: No.
[00:14:18] Speaker A: You have one too, don't you? I thought they grabbed you once. The carts, are they not from you?
I assumed you put some in my room.
[00:14:33] Speaker E: No, I did not.
[00:14:38] Speaker A: Gonna round on Niall. So did you give me an interesting gift?
[00:14:44] Speaker G: What?
[00:14:45] Speaker A: That seems like a law.
Okay, cool. Maybe the house is haunted.
[00:14:51] Speaker G: No, wait, tell me more. What interesting gift?
[00:14:54] Speaker A: Hold up the cards. And also these ones, which I completely forgot about in the height of combat and ultimately cant trip deck, which I legitimately forgot about.
[00:15:02] Speaker C: Hmm.
[00:15:03] Speaker G: Can I make, like, a cursory look at everyone to see if I can pinpoint who looks the most guilty right now?
[00:15:09] Speaker A: Can I very much not look at Laythe? Because that's my next thought process. And I.
[00:15:13] Speaker G: Can I look directly at laythe because.
[00:15:15] Speaker A: I remember giving the cards, and if. If these came from laythat I gave them back, I'm gonna be real sad.
[00:15:23] Speaker G: Well, process of elimination, Yuri doesn't seem like the type to sneak your gift and not tell you. Gravewing is very upfront and wouldn't play that type of game either, and she doesn't like me. Alistar and Laithe are the only two that would possibly do something like that.
[00:15:37] Speaker A: You know what? I don't like this game anymore. Thank you, Ghost. We're going. Keep going.
[00:15:41] Speaker E: I think we have some stuff to look through.
Um, could. Could I just limp around this room and try to see if there's anything interesting?
[00:15:51] Speaker B: Yeah, give me a perception check.
[00:15:55] Speaker E: I'm using tiny dice. Help me.
[00:15:58] Speaker B: Thank you.
[00:15:58] Speaker E: Tiny dice. That's a 21.
[00:16:01] Speaker B: Uh, a 21. Um, this room, you can definitely tell it used to be a dining room of some kind. It has seen much better days.
The one thing that does stand out to you is the strange slightly horrifying tableau that's built in front of the fireplace.
You see, it's at least half of a skeleton strung up.
Uh.
[00:16:42] Speaker E: At least half? Okay.
[00:16:43] Speaker B: At least half of the skeleton strung up like a torturer. You're not sure where the other half went.
[00:16:49] Speaker A: Is it a torso by any chance?
[00:16:51] Speaker B: Well, yes, it is.
[00:16:54] Speaker A: Good, good.
[00:16:56] Speaker B: Hmm.
It has, yeah.
[00:17:03] Speaker A: This is in the dining room.
[00:17:07] Speaker B: Yes, it is.
[00:17:10] Speaker A: Is there? I don't know. Usually when there's a corpse just hanging on the wall, there's like culty crap around it, blood messages or something.
[00:17:20] Speaker B: There kind of is. It looks like, um, there were a lot of things that have been broken down.
You know, there's the half of a corpse strung up there.
Maybe some sort of altar. That doesn't really make sense to you, but can it? I mean, if you want to give me, give me an occultism check.
[00:17:48] Speaker A: Yes. Yes, I would. This isn't like curse or esoteric by any chance, is it?
[00:17:53] Speaker B: Eh, no.
[00:17:55] Speaker A: Ah, crap. I forgot to throw up in the corner. Oh, well, get back in that dice tray.
Get back out of that dice tray. No, no, that's a natural two. But hey, you know what you can do for me?
[00:18:09] Speaker B: What?
[00:18:11] Speaker A: I have dubious knowledge.
So that's a total of, um, there's a total of eight.
What does dubious knowledge do again, when you fail but don't critically fail? I don't know if this is a crit fail. I learn a correct answer and an erroneous answer, but I don't know which ones which.
[00:18:33] Speaker B: Yeah.
So what was the total number again?
[00:18:39] Speaker A: Total of eight. Because I rolled a two.
My dice combat and only combat. Everything else it doesn't know.
[00:18:49] Speaker B: Well, also good news. It's not a critical failure.
[00:18:54] Speaker A: Oh, so I get dubious knowledge. Excellent.
[00:19:00] Speaker B: So yeah, you're relatively sure that this is some sort of alter quite possibly connected to the unbroken and what they're doing in some way?
[00:19:16] Speaker A: This feels like it is part of the unbroken.
It just reminds me of something of theirs that I have seen before. It is making wheels turn in my head and doing something. And the train is arriving and I think it is the unbroken.
[00:19:36] Speaker D: Can I pull out the book that I grabbed from the other room and just sort of flip through and see if it has any diagrams or pictures or anything that is reminiscent?
[00:19:52] Speaker B: Yeah, I won't make you roll because you have the book in front of you. No, nothing is reminiscent. This seems recent.
[00:20:04] Speaker A: How recent? I don't know why I whispered that under my breath.
[00:20:08] Speaker B: I mean, probably within the last couple of years.
[00:20:11] Speaker A: Oh, that's not recent. Okay.
Is there anything else gruesome in this room or not? Like normal things are cool too, you.
[00:20:24] Speaker B: Know, there are some.
If for any of you that are looking for some nice cutlery or plates, there probably are some in some of these shelves along the wall.
[00:20:37] Speaker A: Oh nice.
[00:20:39] Speaker G: I'm stealing all the plates. I have my fancy spoon that I have not shown you because Yuri has warned me and I'm going to keep that in the back of my head for now. But I will start taking plates and spoons and cutting stuff.
[00:20:52] Speaker B: May I suggest coming back for this later?
[00:20:54] Speaker G: Oh, you're right. Voice in the sky. I got a bit upset.
[00:20:58] Speaker E: Schism.
[00:21:03] Speaker B: Come back later for these. They might break. As if we get into combat.
[00:21:07] Speaker G: True. You're right. I don't want to break these plates. They're very nice. Look at the china detailing on them. They're very pretty.
[00:21:12] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Super pretty.
[00:21:15] Speaker G: Yeah, I know. Excellent craftsmanship. I'm just admiring this plate, silently staring at them to myself, turning them around, eventually putting them back down.
[00:21:26] Speaker A: Oh no, go ahead.
[00:21:28] Speaker E: I was just gonna say there's a room here. Right here.
You close the door. I didn't mean to look through that door. There's a door there.
Is anything spooky behind that door?
[00:21:39] Speaker B: I don't know. Why don't you open it, find out.
[00:21:42] Speaker E: Could I make a perception roll first?
[00:21:45] Speaker A: No.
I'm gonna point out the coin guard uniforms well before any, anything might happen on the other side of the door.
I think to gravewing specifically because she seems the most like she would be the most interested in that tidbit.
[00:22:04] Speaker C: Technically I'm interested in all the tidbits here, including the unbroken buff table.
I know that these ghouls looked really fucking bad, but I was still like to try and see if they had any either other identifiables or just things that are potentially decent loot.
[00:22:33] Speaker B: Give me a perception check to see if you find anything.
1818.
Really the only things you can find on the ghouls is the last one that died had a bastard sword. It's kind of poor quality but it is a sword. And then there's a dagger on one of the other ones that seems in decent condition.
But the problem is they've.
These people have been suffering from whatever this is for multiple years at this point. Like they were wearing rotting rags and anything that might be able to identify them, long gone. Skin sallow.
[00:23:28] Speaker C: Yeah. I think graveling is not going to take anything. It should let everybody know that those are the only things that seem to be in good shape. But otherwise, nah.
[00:23:53] Speaker A: There'S just some. I know earlier that they had the coin guard uniformity, um, which would make sense if they were outside of the house. But it is interesting that they are inside of the house and they have that. And there was a golem in the floor. So potentially that could mean they were here before the golem.
[00:24:15] Speaker C: I think it's just cult shit.
Yeah.
Aren't there, um. There's magic to bring the dead back to life and shit, and I.
The gollum is something else, but I.
Based on what I know about Talos.
I don't know. On the most base assumption of all the bad, stereotypical things he could do, he's doing them.
[00:24:48] Speaker A: Yes. Oh.
[00:24:49] Speaker C: That is if this is actually his work. But, you know, it's lining up.
[00:24:55] Speaker A: It does not bode well for him if it is him.
[00:25:00] Speaker D: It does seem strange to me that this is the work he would choose to commit himself to. Given Andalayth, I think, sets the book out on the table.
I found this earlier. It's dedicated to the mask.
[00:25:18] Speaker A: Interesting.
[00:25:21] Speaker C: Above table. That's a God, right?
[00:25:23] Speaker D: That's a God. One of their edicts is put the suffering out of their misery, which does not seem conducive to holding a bunch of ghouls.
[00:25:35] Speaker G: He beat the gummy worm. I'm just saying.
[00:25:38] Speaker A: Sorry.
Is it. I mean, we don't know that the book belongs to Osmond. It could be anyone's.
I mean, we don't even know if he is here. It could be the operation of Ambroken, who moved into his house afterwards.
Working with the Odibla does not always mean terrible dealings.
[00:26:09] Speaker C: He usually does.
Plus, I wouldn't put it past anybody to, you know, change their faith.
[00:26:23] Speaker A: No. Not as easy to do, for sure.
I guess we have to keep finding out.
It is interesting, though, that there is another two, which I'm pretty sure is the unbroken.
And also, the unbroken leader was the one who sent us after Dallas.
[00:26:51] Speaker C: I thought I made this clear before. The unbroken is the one that started all of this.
[00:26:57] Speaker A: No, no, I know. I just think it's interesting.
[00:27:01] Speaker C: I'm pretty sure Argos was put away by their own people. So us taking their people down is helping them. For sure, but it's also helping us.
[00:27:14] Speaker A: No, for sure. For sure.
I don't know, I think. I think we're cleaning up loose ends for someone.
[00:27:26] Speaker C: No. That isn't. That is most likely what we are doing. Yeah.
[00:27:31] Speaker B: Yuri, what you see is more likely than not a servant's passage of some kind. Down to the main. Down to the first floor.
[00:27:42] Speaker E: Throughout all the conversation, Urito was like, almost ear to the door. It's like sword held in hand, ready? And just like, okay, creak the door open.
Okay, close the door back.
That just goes downstairs.
Um, I heard a lot of them broken it. This one that started all the shit, right?
[00:28:06] Speaker C: Mm hmm.
[00:28:09] Speaker E: Um, yeah.
Freaky.
Well, it's, um.
Should keep moving, right?
[00:28:20] Speaker C: That's kind of the only thing we can do. I mean, at least we're getting closer. Based on what Niall was able to magic up and this thing you found, I think we're kind of crystal clear that at least someone lives here and they're probably, you know, doing it.
[00:28:42] Speaker E: Should probably find, I don't know, a study, an office, a secret room. Probably just the kind of fucking place. A secret room.
[00:28:54] Speaker D: You're good at that, Alistair, aren't you?
[00:29:05] Speaker F: Yes, I am.
[00:29:14] Speaker G: Honestly, as long as someone's stronger than me is leading the way, I don't care.
[00:29:20] Speaker F: Yep, I will. Go ahead, lead the way.
[00:29:24] Speaker B: I will. I will let you know. You're. If you go that way, you're just gonna go back down to the floor you just left.
[00:29:31] Speaker E: Oh, the servante like stairs is just down. Like, goes back downstairs.
[00:29:36] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:29:36] Speaker B: It's just a way for servants to move between the floors so that, you know, the aristocracy wouldn't see them.
[00:29:42] Speaker E: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Because they don't like workers.
I assume we should probably just go back down this hallway. There's some doors in this main hallway that maybe we should take a peek.
[00:29:56] Speaker A: I'm gonna linger in the dining room for a hot minute to quietly throw up in the corner.
[00:30:03] Speaker F: Again.
[00:30:05] Speaker A: Shush.
That's a fortitude save again.
[00:30:10] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:30:11] Speaker A: Okay. That hopefully should do it because that's gonna be 21.
[00:30:16] Speaker B: Yeah.
You retch into the corner and you feel much better.
Yeah.
[00:30:21] Speaker A: Billy, nobody saw that. Okay, moving on.
[00:30:27] Speaker F: I guess that means we should check out some of these side doors.
[00:30:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:30:33] Speaker F: Instead, like, anybody have any particular recommendations?
[00:30:46] Speaker C: Quite literally, I would just keep, I would go to the next nearest door, but I cannot tell if that's the one that's closer to Alistair. If that's the one that's closer to length. So that's closer to length.
[00:30:55] Speaker A: Right. That's a door, the one by Yuri.
[00:30:59] Speaker E: Well, there's doors in this hallway that we pass by. Yeah, we want to just check.
[00:31:04] Speaker A: Oh, look, listen before you open.
[00:31:08] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah.
[00:31:13] Speaker F: All right.
So I guess I got the lead. So I will listen.
[00:31:21] Speaker A: Oh, dear.
[00:31:23] Speaker B: Do you down, hear anything behind the door?
[00:31:26] Speaker F: Sounds good.
Oh, I can't do the little click.
[00:31:31] Speaker B: It's locked.
[00:31:34] Speaker F: Click, click, click.
Do you want to check that out or. I guess I could. I don't have the lock picks.
[00:31:47] Speaker D: Lithe will hand them to you if you want to try to pick the lock.
[00:31:52] Speaker F: Oh, yeah, we gotta have a competition now if there's gonna be more doors that are unlocked.
[00:32:00] Speaker E: Laith, I thought you liked being a criminal.
[00:32:03] Speaker F: Wow.
Will a ten unlock it with a two?
[00:32:09] Speaker B: A ten is a critical failure and you jam the lock.
[00:32:15] Speaker F: Um, can I use a hero point to avoid the crit fail?
[00:32:20] Speaker B: Sure.
[00:32:26] Speaker F: You'd like an automatic, like, give everybody hero points.
Wow.
[00:32:34] Speaker G: That's a double quit fail.
[00:32:36] Speaker C: Oh, boy.
[00:32:37] Speaker B: Yeah, the lock is now jammed.
[00:32:40] Speaker A: I.
[00:32:41] Speaker C: Okay, I'm just. Can I just. Can I just break the door?
[00:32:50] Speaker G: Yeah, honestly, I was gonna ask that too.
[00:32:53] Speaker C: I was like, if the lock is jammed, I don't. I don't want to risk using the lock picks again and potentially breaking the pick, so I'm just gonna break the door where we're here to potentially kill the owner of this house. They're not gonna mind.
[00:33:10] Speaker B: Give me some faith.
[00:33:13] Speaker D: Is going to gently take the lockpicks out of Alistair's hand and put them back in her pocket.
[00:33:19] Speaker B: Yeah, give me an athletics check.
[00:33:22] Speaker C: Athletics, athletics. Now, I have a very fun question.
Is this door large or.
[00:33:35] Speaker B: No?
[00:33:36] Speaker C: I know, I don't know. There's no fucking way. Titan wrestler also specifies creature, but I thought it'd be funny if it's like a bigger door.
[00:33:44] Speaker A: But.
[00:33:49] Speaker C: Maybe I'm the door opener. All monks door openers.
[00:33:57] Speaker G: The token has to be passed on. You know, I can't keep it forever.
[00:34:00] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is. We got a set of president here. And on G and G. Pink, sick, edgy death circle and. And monk. Door open. 28.
[00:34:14] Speaker B: A 28. It takes you a second, but you are able to shoulder the door open rather loudly.
[00:34:22] Speaker C: Nah, nah. Imma do something else. You see, you see graveling, kind of like rub her hands along the door to like find maybe where it's loose, maybe where the wood is the weakest.
She presses it a bit, puts. Puts her hand where she plans to break the door, moves her. Moves it through her hand so that way her finger tip is kind of what is touching. And just one inch punches through the door. The time it takes, that's the key. And why it takes a little bit, it still is as loud as you want it to be because this is a whole ass door, but it really is just bravewing finding where to punch and then going right through it.
[00:35:17] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. And ahead you can see stairs that seem to lead upwards.
[00:35:27] Speaker C: You want to go in there now, or you want to see the rest of this floor?
[00:35:34] Speaker B: It's worth noting you don't hear any sounds from anything above you.
[00:35:43] Speaker E: We should check the rest of the floor and then come back.
[00:35:48] Speaker F: Well, but if they're, like, if there's monsters down here, like, if there's anyone that's human, they're more likely to be upstairs, where there's no monsters.
Unless they are controlling the ghouls.
[00:36:11] Speaker E: We should still check out everything in case there's important information down here.
And if we go upstairs and we're stuck there, then we're pigeonholed by these monsters, and I can only take so much more hits.
[00:36:27] Speaker F: Uh, fair enough. All right, let's do this one over here, then.
[00:36:33] Speaker A: Oh, that reminds me. Um, can I grab Laithe's arm as, uh, she goes to pass me while everyone else is going towards the door?
Liz, would you be so kind as to perhaps suggest first aid with my cousin? I did not do it very well. He's gonna hand you the first aid kit.
[00:36:59] Speaker D: Will he accept it?
[00:37:08] Speaker E: I should say I'm probably immune for an hour.
[00:37:10] Speaker B: Oh.
[00:37:10] Speaker A: To anyone. That's right. That's right. I forgot. Is anyone not?
[00:37:13] Speaker D: The answer is no.
[00:37:16] Speaker E: I think.
I think. Yeah, I mean, I don't know if you want to ask right now, but, like. Yeah, I hear it.
[00:37:23] Speaker B: It's going to be a bit before you can. And you listening at the other door?
[00:37:31] Speaker F: Yes.
I didn't just randomly hit the thing and realize it was locked. I absolutely listened first.
[00:37:43] Speaker B: Yeah. And you hear, like, the other door, you don't hear anything behind it.
[00:37:47] Speaker F: All right. And I give a meaningful look that's like. Yeah. I apparently don't know how to do the things as well as I thought I did.
[00:38:02] Speaker D: Faith will step forward to try and pick this lock. And that is a 24.
[00:38:09] Speaker B: A 24. A 24 will allow you to unlock it.
[00:38:16] Speaker D: Carefully. Open it.
[00:38:18] Speaker B: You see a second set of stairs going upwards.
[00:38:24] Speaker F: Well, that was anticlimactic.
Oh, hey, what's up here?
[00:38:31] Speaker D: Yeah, I was gonna ask, is that other door by the stairway an actual door?
[00:38:35] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, that's an actual door.
[00:38:38] Speaker F: This time I will remember to do the listening check.
[00:38:41] Speaker B: 25. You don't hear anything behind the door.
It appears to be a sitting room of some kind. You see a couple of chairs and you.
If this was actually, you know, wasn't. You weren't in an apocalypse. Zombie apocalypse district. Looking out the windows would give you a very nice view of towards the.
Towards Lake Cassian.
[00:39:10] Speaker F: Any books?
[00:39:12] Speaker B: Not in this room.
[00:39:14] Speaker F: Who has a sitting room and no books.
[00:39:17] Speaker D: Any secret passageways?
[00:39:19] Speaker B: Uh, none that any of you sense. And he doesn't ping anything on Alistar's stuff.
[00:39:32] Speaker A: We go back to that first area we found the book in.
Yeah.
[00:39:39] Speaker F: There is a question of whether we should check downstairs as doors downstairs, too.
If we're going to do, like, a clean sweep. We should do a clean sweep.
[00:39:52] Speaker A: Aubrey, what's this weird little brick section in the hallway?
[00:39:57] Speaker B: That is a continuing from the back end of one of the chimneys.
[00:40:05] Speaker A: Ah, thank you.
[00:40:07] Speaker F: Chim chimney. Chim chim.
[00:40:09] Speaker A: I was wondering that the whole fight.
[00:40:17] Speaker F: All right, I guess we got everybody. So I will listen.
[00:40:25] Speaker B: You do not hear anything.
[00:40:27] Speaker F: I will attempt to. Is that like a bathroom or.
[00:40:35] Speaker B: Uh, it does appear to be a washroom of some kind of.
[00:40:41] Speaker F: If you gotta go, now's the time.
[00:40:46] Speaker C: No, I thought lathe was gonna go in.
I was like, damn. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:40:54] Speaker D: Lou out here puking in the dining room when she could have just walked a few extra steps. I could have done a whole washroom.
[00:41:02] Speaker A: Could've go to the washroom. Jeez, that's what I get for trying to keep it secret.
[00:41:07] Speaker B: What door are you going to now?
[00:41:11] Speaker F: Going around the world. Let's go here.
Right between the staircases.
[00:41:17] Speaker B: All right.
You do not hear anything real hot.
[00:41:26] Speaker A: And cold for you tonight, huh?
[00:41:29] Speaker F: Apparently.
And it opens, unlocked?
[00:41:33] Speaker B: Yes, it is. The door opens into what appears to be a study. You see a desk with some things on it and some books on the shelves.
[00:41:44] Speaker F: Any interesting books? At a glance.
[00:41:49] Speaker B: At a glance? It's hard to tell if you want to look any more.
Most of the stuff seems fairly basic.
Going to need perception checks if you want to look for anything that might be hidden and or a little more esoteric.
[00:42:10] Speaker A: You said my keyword. Oh, and my dice agreed.
That's going to be a natural. 19 for a 27.
[00:42:21] Speaker F: Ooh, nice. I only got 21.
[00:42:23] Speaker C: 23. But I'm not a.
Excuse me. I'm specifically, like, graving would be looking to see four said secret rooms and stuff. So she's touching walls. She will pull out books and put them back in. Not looking at them, not reading them, nothing like that.
[00:42:39] Speaker A: Yeah, I wouldn't find anything esoteric, because you said that. And also if maybe there's, like, false bottoms in any of the desk doors.
[00:42:51] Speaker B: So, Alouette, you are combing the bookshelves when you've spent a lot of time in libraries, right?
[00:43:01] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:43:03] Speaker B: It's always weird when a book is faced, like, you know, the pages out.
[00:43:11] Speaker A: Oh, someone was trying to remember something.
I pull it out.
[00:43:18] Speaker B: You pull out a very nice journal.
You see the embossed sigil of House Osmond? A ram on the front?
[00:43:40] Speaker A: Oh, I, um. Um.
Yeah, I'm gonna go lean against the wall out of the corner and try to see if I can, I don't know, find out all of Osmot's secret plans.
[00:43:55] Speaker B: Um.
So you opened this book. It's completely handwritten. It does appear to be in a shorthand, so it will take some time to decipher.
[00:44:06] Speaker A: Dang it. How dare you write in such an efficient language?
[00:44:13] Speaker F: They'll have to get it when we call it a night or morning, I guess, because it is late at night.
[00:44:21] Speaker B: Yeah, but as you flip through and look at things, you see diagrams, you see drawings from autopsies and various things.
Give me an occultism check.
[00:44:41] Speaker A: And that smells pretty. But I have. Okay, occultism.
I have 15 total.
[00:44:54] Speaker B: 15.
You are looking through.
You start recognizing repeated phrases, just sort of like words you see a lot, and so you can kind of start figuring out what they mean.
In the middle of this book, you come to diagrams and notes.
These notes specifically point to somebody who consumed light.
[00:45:36] Speaker A: Um.
Um.
Does this ring any bellsma in my head?
[00:45:48] Speaker E: No.
[00:45:48] Speaker B: You've never heard about anything like this before?
[00:45:52] Speaker F: We've not heard of necrozma?
[00:45:54] Speaker B: No.
Oh, God, I don't even know who that is.
[00:46:01] Speaker F: Oh, break my heart.
[00:46:04] Speaker A: Is it the Pokemon?
[00:46:06] Speaker B: Oh, it's a Pokemon, okay.
[00:46:08] Speaker A: It's a good guess.
[00:46:10] Speaker F: It eats light.
[00:46:12] Speaker A: Oh, interesting.
Um, does anyone know anything about someone who consumes light?
[00:46:27] Speaker F: Ooh, I might possibly. That sounds like something crazy enough that I might be into it.
[00:46:37] Speaker G: I probably don't. Does schism know anything like that?
[00:46:42] Speaker B: No.
[00:46:44] Speaker D: Can I do some sort of, like, society reflection?
[00:46:48] Speaker B: Yes. The DC will be very high.
[00:46:51] Speaker C: I will also do society.
[00:46:55] Speaker A: Can I also.
I know you already said I can't. I didn't know it, but I don't. I thought I'd ask.
[00:47:01] Speaker B: You can sort of go through your. Your brain and see if you've maybe read something.
[00:47:08] Speaker A: Unlikely.
[00:47:09] Speaker G: If enough of us do society, one of us will get it.
[00:47:12] Speaker C: 22.
[00:47:14] Speaker B: You haven't heard anything?
[00:47:16] Speaker C: I didn't think so. Yeah, I was like, if it's a very hard DC, I don't think that that's gonna make it.
[00:47:22] Speaker D: Leith got a 14. She is intentionally not learning anything she has to about Ravenswood, so this just passed her by.
[00:47:31] Speaker G: So I got a 26, which is pretty high, but I'm not sure if it's. Fuck you, Aubrey.
[00:47:36] Speaker A: Fuck you. Wow. What's the DZ? Like 35?
[00:47:40] Speaker B: It was a 30.
[00:47:41] Speaker C: That's 30.
[00:47:42] Speaker F: Yeah, I rolled. Secretly.
[00:47:45] Speaker B: And you've. You've never heard anything like this?
[00:47:51] Speaker A: Interesting. It certainly comes up a lot.
I need some time to figure out more.
I'm not very good at shorthand. I just write fast.
[00:48:07] Speaker F: We'll have to compare notes. Maybe we can, like, break it apart page by page and like, do it simultaneously. You take the odd pages, I take the even pages.
[00:48:20] Speaker A: At least we have a key phrase that we can use to decipher it from.
Maybe it's a metaphor.
[00:48:32] Speaker C: Maybe it's literal.
[00:48:33] Speaker A: I suppose a book.
I put the book in the branded tote bag.
[00:48:41] Speaker B: Yeah, but other than this, this seems to be a relatively public facing study. So one would not put all the schematics for evil plans here.
There's interesting reads. If you're interested in the science of alchemy, there are interesting reads in here, but nothing that's pointing you towards a malicious world domination plans.
[00:49:08] Speaker F: I really need a bag of holding.
I don't. I'm too. I'm too small to hold all the books I want.
[00:49:19] Speaker A: Okay, we can put them in my tote bag.
At least most of us should have a tote bag. We took like all of the.
[00:49:28] Speaker F: Yeah. Continue hunting these doors.
I saw someone run off.
[00:49:35] Speaker E: There's this weird little alcove with a door at the end of the hallway that I'm suspicious of. But it may just be another, like, servant's door.
[00:49:43] Speaker G: You know, let's just kick him down and see.
[00:49:46] Speaker F: We want to do all the doors at once.
[00:49:50] Speaker E: You're the winces shoulder kick down everything.
[00:49:57] Speaker F: I'll listen at my door first.
[00:50:02] Speaker G: I can take the bottom door.
[00:50:05] Speaker A: I don't want to go down that hallway by myself.
[00:50:08] Speaker E: I'm in the hallway.
[00:50:10] Speaker A: No, no, the other, other hallway.
[00:50:12] Speaker C: Well, if you gravewing can take you, because graving is mostly keeping an eye on all of you.
[00:50:17] Speaker A: The hallway next to the bathroom. There's a lot of doors down here.
[00:50:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Alistair, you didn't hear anything behind your door. And when you open it, it appears to be a guest room. A guest suite of some kind.
[00:50:29] Speaker G: Can I listen behind this door over here that I'm at?
[00:50:32] Speaker B: Yeah, give me a perception check.
[00:50:34] Speaker E: No, I'm just gonna open this door.
[00:50:39] Speaker G: Do I hear anything?
[00:50:41] Speaker B: Uh, no, you do not hear anything.
Oh yeah. And uh, Yuri, you're doorway takes you to another hallway that either turns left or right.
[00:50:51] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm gonna. Oh no. There's so many doors. There's so many doors.
[00:50:57] Speaker G: There's so many doors.
[00:50:59] Speaker E: I'm just gonna.
[00:51:00] Speaker B: Gravewing and Lou, are you both listening at your doors?
[00:51:02] Speaker C: Yep. Listening before opening.
[00:51:04] Speaker B: Perception checks.
[00:51:05] Speaker A: Uh huh. Uh, 20.
1322, I think.
[00:51:11] Speaker B: Oh, the things in here are not trying to be quiet.
As you both listen to the door, you hear the scratching sounds of nails on wood and sort of the clacking of teeth and hissing and the sounds of something sniffing.
[00:51:30] Speaker A: Lou pulls away.
[00:51:33] Speaker C: I beckon Lou to come over here, which I think you were already doing anyways. It's like we both have the same look, like. No, no, no.
[00:51:44] Speaker A: Oh, there's also one more door in this hallway, though.
I'm gonna give it a quick listen.
[00:51:49] Speaker C: Yeah, I was like, you can listen. I'm right here.
[00:51:55] Speaker A: 1616.
[00:51:58] Speaker B: You do not hear anything. And Laithe, are you listening at that door as well?
[00:52:02] Speaker D: I am also for an 1818.
[00:52:06] Speaker B: Don't hear anything.
And trying the door. You do realize it is locked.
[00:52:12] Speaker D: I would like to attempt to lockpick, please.
[00:52:14] Speaker B: Yeah, go for it. That is 22. 22. Yeah. You're able to get that door open and unlocked. And Lou, as you open it is a.
You've discovered what you're pretty sure is probably the master bedroom.
[00:52:34] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:52:37] Speaker B: The bed does appear to have been slept in.
I wouldn't say not incredibly recently, probably within the last few days.
[00:52:44] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:52:46] Speaker B: And everything in here is relatively free of dust.
[00:52:50] Speaker A: I will gesture for gravewings attention and point into the room and just mime like someone was sleeping here soon.
[00:53:02] Speaker C: Mm hmm. Yeah. Ribbon will give you a nod and just.
I don't. No, no, no. I will follow you in if you go further, actually.
[00:53:14] Speaker A: Yeah.
And we might find more information.
[00:53:21] Speaker C: I will still keep. I'm gonna try and keep myself between Lou and where we heard the noises from. So that way, you know, well, one, I can close the door. Two, if anything does happen, hopefully I'm body blocking enough. We hope.
[00:53:43] Speaker A: I'll do a quick listen at this door in the room to make sure there's nothing coming into the room from this side.
[00:53:50] Speaker B: Yeah, give me a perception check. And Laithe, if you open the door, you appear to see to some sort of library.
It has seen better days, but.
[00:54:13] Speaker D: Yeah, I would like to explore around the.
[00:54:16] Speaker C: Library a little bit.
[00:54:17] Speaker B: Go out the window.
[00:54:19] Speaker D: Oh, is that outside? I didn't realize that was an open window. I thought that was like an entryway to another room.
[00:54:25] Speaker C: Just jump out the window.
[00:54:26] Speaker B: It'd be pretty cool.
[00:54:27] Speaker G: Do a backflip too.
[00:54:29] Speaker C: The same brain.
[00:54:35] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:54:35] Speaker B: And then this appears to be stairs down. This is like a table. One would like study books at. There is another chimney to keep the room warm. The interesting part is the altar to the hourglass in here as well.
But, you know, one of the hourglasses thingies is knowledge, so it, you know, kind of. Kind of fits.
[00:55:00] Speaker F: And then that door must go to the other hallway.
[00:55:04] Speaker B: Mm hmm.
Yep. And, Lou, what did she get?
[00:55:09] Speaker A: Unfortunately, it was a natural one for a total of nine.
[00:55:16] Speaker B: Um, you hear sounds of something scurrying in the room.
[00:55:22] Speaker A: Well, step back from it very quickly, and then.
No, it's probably just, like, a rat.
[00:55:31] Speaker F: I give you a glare.
[00:55:34] Speaker A: You don't hear this. You're probably. This is internal. There's ghouls across the hall.
[00:55:39] Speaker C: I think. I think once again, to still be safe, I will open the door. Like, I'll. You go, it's a rat. I will raise my hand up and put it on the door. So, you know to, like, trade places here.
[00:55:53] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:55:54] Speaker F: Which, are y'all on the opposite side?
[00:55:56] Speaker C: Yeah. Oh, yeah. We split up.
[00:55:59] Speaker A: Corner.
[00:56:04] Speaker B: You. You don't hear any of this is going on. And. Yes, uh, the graveling. This appears to be a bathroom.
[00:56:09] Speaker A: Huh.
[00:56:10] Speaker G: Go piss girl.
[00:56:11] Speaker C: Bathroom.
Do I see any scurry?
[00:56:15] Speaker B: Uh, you see a rat?
[00:56:20] Speaker C: It's a rat.
[00:56:21] Speaker A: Oh, good.
[00:56:24] Speaker B: And, Aubrey. Uh huh.
[00:56:28] Speaker E: Are down this bottom row. Are any of these doors or just, like, windows?
[00:56:33] Speaker B: Is all windows okay?
And, Leif, are you listening at that door?
[00:56:39] Speaker D: Yes, I would like to listen, please.
[00:56:47] Speaker G: 22.
[00:56:47] Speaker B: 22. You do not hear anything behind the door.
[00:56:51] Speaker D: Great.
[00:56:52] Speaker B: When you do try, it is locked.
[00:56:54] Speaker A: I will attempt to open it.
[00:56:58] Speaker F: I'll listen to mine as well.
[00:57:00] Speaker B: Mm hmm.
[00:57:01] Speaker G: I'm just sitting here letting you guys do all the work, while I'm just checking out my frying pan.
[00:57:06] Speaker E: I'm in the hallway. I'm kind of, like, trying to stay between everyone because everyone's doing much better work.
[00:57:12] Speaker A: We ended up splitting up. Oh, my God.
[00:57:14] Speaker G: Yuri, can I join you? Because I also can't do shit to hell.
[00:57:17] Speaker B: Oh, gosh.
[00:57:18] Speaker E: Sure, yeah.
[00:57:19] Speaker G: Look, we're hanging out together now.
[00:57:21] Speaker D: 25 to pick my luck.
[00:57:23] Speaker B: Uh, yeah, no, you. You do.
And Alistar, what did you get 25 to?
[00:57:33] Speaker F: Listen.
[00:57:37] Speaker B: You hear the sounds of wind.
[00:57:41] Speaker F: Okay. And I will open as well.
[00:57:45] Speaker B: And, Laith, you find yourself in what probably was a servant's courtly servant's room.
It does not look like the servant met a very happy end. There's a giant bloodstain on the bed.
[00:58:02] Speaker D: Does it seem like ghoul attack or, like, ritual vibes or murdered in the heat of passion? Can I judge anything from the state of the room.
[00:58:17] Speaker B: Give me a perception check.
I do have. Mm hmm.
[00:58:23] Speaker D: I was just gonna say I do have expertise in murdered in the heat of fashion. As of recently.
[00:58:28] Speaker B: Yeah, you. You do.
Don't let Lou know that.
But, Alastair, you open into what looks to be like a.
Like a small. Small dining area for servants.
Nothing in here looks like it's in very good condition, but, you know, it's where, like, a servant would work or eat. And Laith, what did you get?
[00:59:01] Speaker D: That was a 22.
[00:59:03] Speaker B: Certainly by the way of the arterial pattern, it looks like somebody probably slit this poor man's throat.
[00:59:09] Speaker G: Oh, no.
[00:59:10] Speaker D: Yum.
[00:59:12] Speaker C: Yum.
[00:59:15] Speaker B: There is currently no body there.
[00:59:17] Speaker G: Oh.
[00:59:18] Speaker A: Oh, okay.
[00:59:18] Speaker D: There's not a body.
[00:59:19] Speaker B: Cool.
But there's a lot of dried blood.
[00:59:23] Speaker F: Yum.
[00:59:25] Speaker G: Yeah, that's my line.
[00:59:28] Speaker B: And Lou and gravewing, you are find yourselves still in the bedroom?
[00:59:36] Speaker C: Yeah, we're looking for things, I guess. Yeah, I think we both have the same idea.
[00:59:41] Speaker A: Mm hmm.
[00:59:41] Speaker C: Um, if we can look for it. Oh, fucking Alice just scared me. If we can.
[00:59:47] Speaker F: Sorry.
[00:59:52] Speaker C: To go in even faster.
God. But, yeah, I was.
No, it's because I saw your. Your token move into the room from the corner of my eye and where we're at the schools, we can see the hall, like, the hallway, but we can't see you guys moving to. To and from the hallway.
[01:00:10] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:00:10] Speaker C: So, yeah, so you did. You did scare me.
What I was going to say was I would caution Lou and if Laithe is in the room with us as well, to look quietly, since we do technically have rowdy neighbors.
[01:00:26] Speaker A: Yes. Oh, for sure.
Lou is at the same mind, 100% probably. Like, if Lance comes in the room, first thing they both do is like, sh. They both turn around, like, please don't make a noise.
[01:00:39] Speaker B: Anybody who wants to search the room, give me a perception check.
[01:00:42] Speaker A: Yeah, I got a 19, so good.
[01:00:46] Speaker C: Thank you. 21.
[01:00:48] Speaker A: Nice.
[01:00:49] Speaker C: I only have a plus five, so, like, getting these higher rules are so nice. Actually, I'm prepared to see nothing so low.
[01:00:58] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
Graveling, as you're looking around, you open sort of like this bedside table. And there are three vials in there.
You're a little bit unsure of what they are, but there are three vials of something in there.
[01:01:15] Speaker C: God, not more mysterious liquid.
[01:01:18] Speaker G: I love mysterious liquids.
[01:01:23] Speaker C: Niall, I want to be on your side, but tick is making it impossible.
[01:01:29] Speaker G: Check out mysterious liquids if you hand it to him. But, uh, I'm just showing with Yuri. My new. My new bro, my new pal, my new amigo.
[01:01:38] Speaker E: All right, now you heard.
I'm keeping watch.
[01:01:47] Speaker B: If anybody wants to, they can make a crafting check to see what you. If you guys by.
[01:01:51] Speaker F: What?
[01:01:51] Speaker C: This is not me.
[01:01:53] Speaker A: Sure.
[01:01:57] Speaker C: I wish I was there, but.
[01:01:59] Speaker G: I'm just sitting here with Yuri.
[01:02:03] Speaker C: As long as these files don't fight back, you'll get to see him.
[01:02:08] Speaker B: Yeah. 15 is more than enough. This is three vials of antiplate.
[01:02:14] Speaker F: Oh, nice.
[01:02:16] Speaker A: Oh, uh, yeah. We will whisper. I think it is auntie plague.
[01:02:23] Speaker F: Wait, who keeps antiplague in their bedroom?
[01:02:26] Speaker A: People who live in a ghoul district.
[01:02:32] Speaker C: She got you there.
[01:02:34] Speaker F: But wait, no. Is the other one that looked recently slept that didn't.
[01:02:39] Speaker A: Yeah, this one's slept in recently. Yeah.
[01:02:41] Speaker B: Yeah, this one's been slept in recently.
There's not a lot in here that's being kept in here.
You notice some odds and ends on the sort of the mantle by the fireplace, there is a small little altar to the hourglass.
[01:03:03] Speaker A: Hmm.
Is there anything other than the altar, knickknack wise?
[01:03:15] Speaker B: There's a candelabra.
There is a candelabra.
And let's see.
[01:03:28] Speaker F: You said there's an hourglass?
[01:03:31] Speaker A: No, an altar to the hourglass.
[01:03:34] Speaker B: One of the hourglass is one of the gods. Yeah.
And there is.
There is half of a horn.
[01:03:48] Speaker G: Horn?
[01:03:49] Speaker B: Mm hmm.
[01:03:51] Speaker A: Like an animal horn bridge.
[01:03:54] Speaker F: Horn.
[01:03:54] Speaker B: Looks to be a ram's horn.
[01:03:58] Speaker A: Oh, that's interesting because that's the house sigil.
[01:04:03] Speaker B: It's like half of it. It looks like it was broken off.
[01:04:09] Speaker A: Lou is going to take the horn.
I don't even think she knows why. I think she just takes it and puts it in her bag.
[01:04:23] Speaker C: Never know if we can use it. Okay.
[01:04:24] Speaker A: Darrell me says he's always through, but also it just feels significant because it's house tales.
I think that is everything in here, though. We should find the others, I guess. Just yahy and nioh.
[01:04:43] Speaker D: Niles, they already checked this door in the bedroom.
[01:04:48] Speaker A: Don't go in the.
[01:04:49] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:04:49] Speaker D: Oh, that's one of the zombie ones. Oh, that's the bathroom.
[01:04:53] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:04:53] Speaker C: It's just a bathroom with a rat in it.
Not you. I look outside of this and there.
[01:05:00] Speaker A: Are schools across the hallway.
[01:05:02] Speaker C: Yeah. In both doors.
[01:05:04] Speaker A: Yes.
It maybe leads to the same place. I don't know, but we didn't go in.
[01:05:10] Speaker C: I'd bet that it leads to the same place. Like maybe that's like a kitchenette or something.
[01:05:15] Speaker A: Oh, yes, that's really good. It is. Do you think that presumably talos, but possibly someone else put the ghouls in there after coming in here to occupy the bedroom, because this has been recently occupied. Are they in there, like, pets or attack dogs?
[01:05:35] Speaker C: I don't know. I personally would not want to sleep where I keep. Like, last time we fought, like, what, four or five ghouls just now?
So five ghouls, and however many are in there, that's already a lot. Wouldn't want to sleep across that.
[01:05:54] Speaker A: Maybe he can control them.
[01:05:56] Speaker C: That's what I'm thinking.
That, or maybe they were people.
[01:06:03] Speaker A: I mean, the ones in the dining room were not recent.
[01:06:06] Speaker C: Mm hmm.
[01:06:08] Speaker A: I don't know.
[01:06:11] Speaker C: I could also see one person blocking separate parts of the house off if they still wanted to live here. But once again, the bedrooms right across.
So it just doesn't seem smart now.
[01:06:29] Speaker G: To propose a theory. But there is a spell. I know he's not really a spell person, but this is a very easy spell to use that disguises you as an undead or potentially a ghoul. He could have some sort of concoction that lets him blend in as a ghoul. Therefore, these monsters being here would not be a problem as a theory.
[01:06:52] Speaker C: All right, all right. Lots of theories going around.
Unless you guys feel like fighting again, I like to close this door and pretend we weren't in this part of the room.
[01:07:05] Speaker G: That would be great.
[01:07:08] Speaker A: Have we, um.
Once we're out of the ghoul hallway, have we discussed what we are going to do if we do find Talos here?
[01:07:21] Speaker C: Well, um, besides making sure that they can't hurt anybody, I'm willing to hear him out.
Then make them reverse it. And if they can't, and if they don't know?
I technically know somebody who was working on a cure.
[01:07:43] Speaker A: Oh, that is wonderful.
[01:07:48] Speaker C: If they're alive, then I know where to find them. And if they're not, I know where their notes went. So we do have lads, basically c and d.
[01:08:08] Speaker A: Okay, so we talk to Taris or whomever there may be, and try to convince him to help us.
I'm trying to find out very tactfully if you plan to murder him or not. But I'm running out of tact. I'm not gonna lie.
[01:08:34] Speaker C: Um, I don't plan on murdering him. Unless he plans on murdering us. Even then, I tend to.
I don't murder first.
[01:08:49] Speaker F: I mean, he's, uh.
[01:08:52] Speaker C: No, he's. He's very warranted for death. I do believe he deserves death. If he's the one who caused the.
[01:09:02] Speaker F: Ghoul fever, would the hunters cause the ghoul fever? Right. Cause he's associated with the holy blood.
[01:09:10] Speaker C: I would 100% believe they would.
It's a way to cull the population. It's a way to control the others.
[01:09:19] Speaker D: Manufacture relevant.
[01:09:21] Speaker F: Would make sense. Okay, I'm on board.
[01:09:24] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:09:25] Speaker F: So.
[01:09:26] Speaker E: Well, there's one more hallway and at least more hallways. I don't know if we want to check there or we want to just go upstairs.
[01:09:37] Speaker C: I'm down for checking. There.
[01:09:38] Speaker D: Might just load truck there.
[01:09:41] Speaker F: Yeah, close that hallway.
[01:09:44] Speaker C: Close, close it.
[01:09:45] Speaker F: Top right corner.
[01:09:47] Speaker E: Yeah. And it's over here. And these two more hallway with more doors.
[01:09:53] Speaker A: Is it the up hallway or the down hallway?
[01:09:55] Speaker D: Up hallway.
[01:09:56] Speaker C: Up hallway.
[01:09:56] Speaker A: Oh.
[01:09:58] Speaker F: Everybody pick how many.
[01:09:59] Speaker A: Listen to Dusty's cursor instead of Dusty's. Oh, I went down there. Technethe.
I'm here, I'm here, I'm here.
[01:10:13] Speaker C: I need you to know that we keep, like. Because I keep coming back to get you. I want. I want that to be in character.
[01:10:18] Speaker B: We'll lose.
[01:10:19] Speaker C: Just gets distracted really easy. And gray wings, like, come on.
[01:10:23] Speaker A: This giant house, like. Oh, oh, oh, there's so many hallways.
[01:10:28] Speaker B: Alistair, you don't hear anything behind your door?
[01:10:33] Speaker F: All right.
Oh, that's a mess.
[01:10:37] Speaker B: Yeah, you open it up into a rather trash looking bedroom.
What did the other two get for your perceptions?
[01:10:48] Speaker D: 19. For lace.
[01:10:50] Speaker E: 17.
[01:10:52] Speaker B: You don't hear anything when you check the doors. Both of them are locked.
[01:10:58] Speaker E: I look over at Leith, like, look big. Do you want. Are you gonna actually just.
[01:11:05] Speaker D: Nat 20 and then a 23?
[01:11:12] Speaker B: Yeah. You will be able to unlock both of them.
Leith, yours is a very standard bedroom. You don't see much about it. Yuri, you also come across a bedroom. This one might have belonged to a child. Do you see some child's toys on the floor?
[01:11:40] Speaker A: Aw, that's fortunate.
[01:11:45] Speaker B: No signs of violence or anything, you know?
[01:11:48] Speaker F: Yeah. Trashed room. Is that like my room or they were leaving or someone was searching for someone?
[01:11:56] Speaker B: Um, it's hard to tell.
[01:12:00] Speaker F: Okay.
My room's not that bad right now. I don't know why I'm talking back onto myself.
You all right ahead. Upstairs.
[01:12:18] Speaker E: If there's nothing of interest here, we should avoid all the other lucks and go upstairs.
Do these.
[01:12:28] Speaker B: I will mention again, you don't hear anything coming from above you.
[01:12:32] Speaker F: Yeah.
[01:12:33] Speaker G: Do you think.
[01:12:35] Speaker E: Are these big stairs here? Are these just like, downstairs?
[01:12:39] Speaker B: Uh, yeah, that's where the, um, where you came in to the commander.
[01:12:44] Speaker E: Okay, so then there's the upstairs in these two rooms.
[01:12:47] Speaker B: Mm hmm.
[01:12:50] Speaker G: Do we think they could be downstairs if we can't hear anything upstairs?
[01:12:53] Speaker E: Oh, I mean, you might as well check upstairs. So then we. Could you go reverse?
[01:12:59] Speaker A: Does this do tech net? I'll call you again.
[01:13:03] Speaker B: Hi. Um, bad at this video game, you come into what appears to be attic space.
There are a lot of furniture covered by drop cloths and trunks. Everything is. There are layers upon layers of dust up here.
[01:13:23] Speaker E: Okay.
Nothing up here.
[01:13:26] Speaker F: You know what? We forgot to check out because we got distracted.
The big old altar in the center.
[01:13:37] Speaker B: I mean, you did. That's where the book involving the mask was. And Leith has that now.
[01:13:46] Speaker F: Okay. Okay. I missed the taking of the mask book.
[01:13:49] Speaker B: Yeah, this is an attic that you don't see anything up here. It is storage, so.
[01:13:59] Speaker E: Well, if there's an attic, maybe there's a basement.
[01:14:02] Speaker A: I mean, there's still the ground floor.
[01:14:05] Speaker C: Is there anything worth taking?
[01:14:08] Speaker B: Um, it would take you far too long to go through anything. You. You're actually probably getting on towards, like, 03:00 a.m. at this point.
[01:14:16] Speaker A: Oh, we're sleepy.
[01:14:18] Speaker G: Yeah, I'm sleepy.
[01:14:21] Speaker A: We've been up a long time. All right, let's go back downstairs first, guys.
[01:14:28] Speaker G: I'm so eepy.
[01:14:31] Speaker B: Yeah, drink.
[01:14:33] Speaker C: Energy drink. Stop being eepy.
[01:14:37] Speaker B: You all head back downstairs to pick up where you left off, and we'll also pick up where we leave off next week as you all go and continue to explore the murder mansion.
[01:14:50] Speaker C: Yeah.
Once more.
[01:14:55] Speaker F: There'S only been one murder, or.
[01:15:00] Speaker C: I don't know, there's a lot of ghouls in here.
[01:15:02] Speaker G: Yeah, I have no idea how much murder has happened.
[01:15:07] Speaker C: We're not too aware yet.
[01:15:10] Speaker B: Take us out.
[01:15:11] Speaker G: Well, everyone, thank you very much for listening to the wonderful episode of Goblet and Gays. If you like what we do here, feel free to follow us on Twitter, Instagram, Patreon community servers. There's all sorts of places you can come and talk to us, Patreon. You'll see all sorts of amazing content, which just shows how chronically insane I am. And Aubrey gets to monetize that, which is great and also kind of scary. So, remember, give us some high ratings on our various streaming services. It helps us a lot, both with our egos and also to keep us, you know, going. In general. What do five star ratings do other than buff our ego? Is there something else I'm missing, or.
[01:15:43] Speaker B: It makes it easier for people to come, come across, find our show, and we'll more likely than not recommend it to people?
[01:15:50] Speaker A: Oh, bet.
[01:15:50] Speaker G: Okay. It helps us with the algorithm, but also it strokes my ego, specifically. So remember, stay safe and eat your bones and your meat and your people without the brains. The brains are actually dangerous to eat.
[01:16:03] Speaker A: During the brainstor consuming open.
