[00:00:51] Speaker A: Hold my hand let me stare by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me demon tells Rome in this red light it calls me he is reaching out consuming. [00:01:29] Speaker B: Hello, everybody, and welcome back to Tyrant of the dark star. I'm Aubrey, your gm, and I'll tell some of my players to introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing, and we'll get into things. [00:01:40] Speaker C: Hi, my name is Aki. Pronouns are she, her, and I am playing gravewing, who is our monk, Kinesis. That's it. That's all you get to know about her. [00:01:54] Speaker B: Oh. [00:01:55] Speaker C: Also uses she her pronouns. [00:01:57] Speaker D: Hi, y'all. I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play Laitha Drisi, our dampier, dandy, and rogue, who uses she any pronouns. [00:02:10] Speaker E: It's me. Hello, I'm dusty. I use they he pronouns, and I'm playing eurydo. Just eurydo for now. They also use they he pronouns, and they are going to be our bloodhunter. [00:02:25] Speaker C: Hello. [00:02:25] Speaker A: I am firx. I use she her pronouns. And I am playing aloet Valer, the nethlem, I think, is what they're called now, thaumaturge, who also uses she her pronouns. [00:02:39] Speaker B: Hello. [00:02:40] Speaker F: I am Sparlock. I use he him pronouns. I am playing Alistair Whiskerfield, the renowned wizard and investigator who uses he him pronouns also. [00:02:54] Speaker G: Hi, I'm tick. I use Heeshide pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, a wonderful fleshwarp sorcerer who is definitely not a cannibal at all. Why do you even think that? [00:03:06] Speaker B: Before we get into what happened last time, we have another character question once again brought to us by Ferris, who keeps asking really great things in our headcanon chat. So I'm going to keep stealing them. And the question for today is, if the thing that haunts your character most were to appear to them in a dream, what would it look like? That is not what it actually is, but the symbolic representation of it. And. Yeah, Ferris, why don't you start us off? [00:03:38] Speaker A: Izzy, a birdcage and I will not be elaborating. I'm going to popcorn it over to Alyssa because they look like they're paying attention. [00:03:55] Speaker D: For late. It will be a mirror. I am also not elaborating, and I will send it to Sparlock. [00:04:03] Speaker F: Does this mean I also have to not elaborate? [00:04:06] Speaker B: Exactly. [00:04:10] Speaker F: Mind flayer. And I will also not be elaborating. [00:04:16] Speaker A: I changed my mind. Elaborate. Elaborate immediately. [00:04:22] Speaker F: So it's a shadowy eldritch conspiracy that is attempting to take your mind away. From you? [00:04:34] Speaker C: Yeah, I also thought that was self explanatory. I was like, you in's mouth, motherfucker. I'm here for it. [00:04:41] Speaker F: Yeah, I realize it's, like, actually scary, but it's not scary for the same reason, which is the important part of the question. [00:04:50] Speaker C: Yeah, I like that. Actually, I spoke last. I'll go next. Moth moms would be an armored man holding the sun in his hands. Mm hmm. Um, Dusty. [00:05:12] Speaker E: Sorry, can I get that one more time? [00:05:14] Speaker C: Dusty? [00:05:16] Speaker A: Can. [00:05:17] Speaker G: I want that dusty? [00:05:19] Speaker E: No, I heard Dustif. [00:05:23] Speaker C: No, I just decided to say it with an accent for some reason. [00:05:27] Speaker E: Oh, like Maya Wella used to call me Dustin. So for Eurudo, it is a decaying stag, and I am definitely not elaborating on that. So I believe that just leaves tick. [00:05:44] Speaker G: Yeah, for Nile, it is a human skull. And I am also not going to elaborate, though it's pretty straightforward, actually. No, it's not, and I'm not going to elaborate. [00:05:56] Speaker B: Okay, tik, what happened last time? [00:05:59] Speaker G: Last time on goblets and gaze tyrant of the dark star, we continued our wonderful breaking and entering spree, fighting some more zombies that have taken up residence in this area. Surprisingly large amount of zombies have been taking up the residence in this area. My zombies? I mean, ghouls, you know, potato, potato. A lot of ghouls. Some ghoulish activities are going on. Dare I even say we fought them off. We've been exploring. We found out there's probably not much on the first floor. The enemy's probably in the basement, considering how much we've been searching, and our hunt for the alchemist has caused quite a few problems. Continues. [00:06:36] Speaker B: Yes, let's. You know, we're pretty sure Yuri didn't get cursed. [00:06:45] Speaker A: So. [00:06:45] Speaker B: Yeah, you. You just finished looking in the attic. There's, as I said before, there's a lot of trunks full of things. There are a lot of furniture covered in drop cloths. Searching through here will be a process, and it will take you several hours, which you don't have right now, because also I'm actually need everybody to make me a fortitude save because you didn't long rest, and it's actually getting on to two in the morning at this point. [00:07:14] Speaker G: Can I have an advantage because I'm a night owl. [00:07:16] Speaker B: No. Now, you also haven't, like, had a normal amount of sleep in, like, two weeks, and you've only slept, like, once. [00:07:27] Speaker G: That's just a typical con night, you know? [00:07:29] Speaker A: 26. [00:07:31] Speaker B: 26. [00:07:32] Speaker C: There are no conventions in Knox light. No, I'm bringing furniture what are they gonna sell you? What are they gonna sell you? For real? That isn't cult behavior. Stop it. [00:07:44] Speaker F: You know, I'm gonna take. I'm gonna take that nine. It seems in character. He complained about getting woken up. [00:07:52] Speaker G: I got a 24, so I'm just. I am just fine, I guess. [00:07:57] Speaker C: Did you say con? Say, or do you mean fortitude? [00:08:00] Speaker B: Fortitude. Did I say con? I meant fortitude. [00:08:05] Speaker E: No, you said fortitude. [00:08:06] Speaker C: I think my brain registered it as. [00:08:08] Speaker A: Con because tic was talking about cons. Probably. [00:08:11] Speaker C: Ah, there it is. There it is. Correlations. 21 for moth mom, 22 for lace. [00:08:24] Speaker B: Well, everybody got their roles. If you got over a 20, you are fine for now. If you got below a 20. Yeah, the GC was 20. So unfortunately, Alistair, you did get a critical fail. So that is. That is exhaustion for you. What is. Do I get fatigued or. Fatigued? Yeah, it's two levels of fatigue. [00:08:48] Speaker E: I get one level of fatigued. [00:08:50] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:08:56] Speaker F: I'm okay with this. I think it works in character. [00:09:04] Speaker B: But, yes, you can take a look at the attic at a later time, but you still have the rest of the first floor of the mansion and anything that is below it. Also, how is everybody looking health wise? Yeah. I believe you all took time after the battle to patch Yuri up. [00:09:32] Speaker E: Technically, I don't think we did. [00:09:35] Speaker B: No, I think we was a failure. So you were immune for an hour. It has been an hour of exploring, so if you want to attempt any more of that, it's probably you're going. [00:09:47] Speaker E: To attempt themselves to just. [00:09:51] Speaker F: You cannot, because you are fatigued. [00:09:57] Speaker E: Can I not? [00:09:58] Speaker A: We. [00:09:58] Speaker F: We cannot do exploration activities. We're just too out of it. [00:10:03] Speaker E: That's so true. I could not. [00:10:04] Speaker B: So somebody else has to do it for you. [00:10:09] Speaker E: Please help. Someone. [00:10:15] Speaker D: Paris isn't here. You gonna ask leaf? [00:10:18] Speaker E: No, I will be patient. I'll be impatiently tired and impatient. He'll get back to it. It's fine. [00:10:31] Speaker B: It's fine. [00:10:31] Speaker C: Do I have to be trained to make the check? [00:10:34] Speaker B: Yes, you have to be trained for medicine. [00:10:39] Speaker C: What about improvise? I'm joking. Please don't make me do it. [00:10:43] Speaker D: It's just a plus one. [00:10:44] Speaker C: No, it's okay. [00:10:46] Speaker E: We'll wait till Ferris is back. [00:10:49] Speaker D: I mean, lathe is right there, and I think she has a higher bonus than Lou does. [00:10:56] Speaker B: And Laithe actually does have the medical kit right now because Lou gave it to laythe five and then told Laithe to fix Yuri. [00:11:06] Speaker E: Oh, but does Yuri don't know that. [00:11:10] Speaker B: I don't think so. [00:11:11] Speaker E: Yeah, I think. I think I think druid is going to find. I'm just going to like. Well, does anyone have the med kit still? I'm really tired and hurting. [00:11:31] Speaker D: I think Laithe smirks and sort of pulls it from a pouch. Did you need some help, Irida? [00:11:43] Speaker E: There is a strong pause. [00:11:47] Speaker D: I know we can't count on you to take care of yourself, so if you need medical attention. [00:11:56] Speaker E: Golf bitch, I would appreciate it. [00:12:01] Speaker D: Laith will go over and watch me crit fail this. Actually, that would be really funny. [00:12:06] Speaker G: I'm just watching. With no medicine expertise. [00:12:10] Speaker D: It'S a 16 on the dice, so you're fine. [00:12:12] Speaker A: You get Heelys, you get two d eight. [00:12:16] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:12:17] Speaker E: Okay. You want to roll it or struggle? [00:12:19] Speaker D: You can roll. [00:12:27] Speaker E: Cool. That's a good roll. It's 13 back. [00:12:30] Speaker D: I will say that for all that she's being a shit about it. Laithe has very steady hands and is quite gentle at helping pat you up. [00:12:43] Speaker G: Bonding. [00:12:44] Speaker E: You're though when stay very silent throughout all this, maybe wincing a little bit because they are hurting and just thinking, hopefully we don't get more hurt in this forsaken place. [00:13:02] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:13:05] Speaker D: If more ghouls pop up, that's what you're good for. [00:13:11] Speaker E: Exactly. Right. [00:13:13] Speaker B: Okay. Just for a moment during the whole thing, you probably think back to a very specific solstice. I'm sure there's nothing there. Yeah, yeah. [00:13:25] Speaker E: Nothing there. [00:13:26] Speaker B: No, nothing there. No, nothing. [00:13:29] Speaker E: Just. Yeah, we'll move on. Let's move on. [00:13:31] Speaker B: Yeah, let's move on. So are you gonna make your way back down to the first floor? Question. Using the stairs you originally came down, or a different set of stairs, which would. The stairs you took originally would take you back to the receiving room. [00:13:52] Speaker D: Right. [00:13:53] Speaker B: The main room. Or you could take the. [00:13:56] Speaker C: Let's do that. [00:13:57] Speaker B: Okay. [00:13:58] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:13:59] Speaker D: The safe stairs. I think we will be checking since we know where the staircases are, to make sure that everything connects back. That was a weird thing to say, but yes. [00:14:11] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah. Now you find yourselves back on the first floor, back in the sort of the great hall area, and you have many rooms left to explore. Which side of the manor do you want to start with? [00:14:33] Speaker G: Can I actually make some sort of check to see if I hear anything more on one side than the other instead of just blindly running into it? [00:14:43] Speaker B: You can make perception checks. [00:14:45] Speaker D: Yippee. [00:14:47] Speaker G: Yes, I'm gonna do that. Hello, guys. Well, I said I would. I didn't say I would do it. [00:14:54] Speaker C: Good. [00:14:55] Speaker G: That's a twelve. [00:14:58] Speaker B: No, you can't really make out much, especially with the sound of just the manor itself. This is old and a little rundown. So is it the wind? Is it something moving? Is it just floorboards? It's hard to tell. [00:15:23] Speaker F: Well, we gotta get the rest of these rooms. [00:15:29] Speaker G: Yeah, I don't really know if there's anything in one specific direction or the other, so better just start opening doors and seeing what happens. [00:15:42] Speaker B: Yeah, you should be able to move. [00:15:46] Speaker F: Did you catch my question, by the way? Apparently the role for fatigue says exploration or traveling. And there's also nothing about taking a minus two penalty. It's specifically a minus one. [00:16:00] Speaker B: I mean, yeah, I imagine because you're not traveling, so I think it should be fine. [00:16:08] Speaker F: Okay, thanks for the clarification. [00:16:12] Speaker B: I'll look at the rule probably on our break and really look at it. [00:16:17] Speaker C: So. [00:16:17] Speaker B: Yeah, I. Lou, where are you starting? [00:16:21] Speaker A: That little corner backdoor. [00:16:23] Speaker B: Mm hmm. [00:16:25] Speaker A: I would like to listen at it. [00:16:27] Speaker B: Yeah, give me a perception check. [00:16:32] Speaker A: Hold on, hold on. My brain has stopped. 24. [00:16:35] Speaker B: 24. Yeah. You don't hear anything from behind the door and it does not appear to be locked. [00:16:40] Speaker C: I shall open it. [00:16:41] Speaker B: Yeah. As you open it, you also see into another library. Oh. [00:16:51] Speaker A: With more doors. [00:16:53] Speaker B: More doors, yeah. You would also know that this, it's got a spiral staircase in the corner that connects to a library that is directly upstairs. You would have seen the spiral staircase. [00:17:07] Speaker A: Up there to see if any of these doors in the library are locked. Are any of them locked? [00:17:15] Speaker B: The one you are standing in front of is very locked. It has a padlock on it. It seems to be a very nice lock. [00:17:25] Speaker A: Oh, Alistair is standing next to me. Eris, dag, would you mind opening this for us? But as I say that, I am also going to listen at it. Just make sure it sounds quiet. That's an 1818. [00:17:44] Speaker B: You don't hear anything from beyond it other than the sound of dripping water. Let's see what we can do. [00:17:53] Speaker A: Proceed with question. It could be flooded. [00:17:58] Speaker F: That would be unfortunate. This is probably where all the good books are. [00:18:03] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:18:03] Speaker A: Either here or upstairs. [00:18:11] Speaker B: Laith, are you taking a look at the other side of this front area? [00:18:19] Speaker D: Yes, I am mirroring Lou at the sort of opposite door. And that is a 27 reception. [00:18:25] Speaker B: 27. You don't hear anything from behind the door. And if you open it, it's sort of like a small little alcove. There's another door to your left and another door to your right. The door to you. The door directly in front of you now just sort of leads to a long hallway and kind of see some windows. And Alistair, that is a critical failure. [00:18:52] Speaker F: A 21 is a critical failure. [00:18:55] Speaker B: Oh, wow. [00:18:58] Speaker F: This is quite the. I've not seen a padlock like this. We might have to break it. [00:19:09] Speaker A: Well, Griffin, you are probably strong enough to do that. Do we think it is likely hiding something important enough to break the door down? All right. Is water dripping? [00:19:28] Speaker C: Well, uh, you don't lock something with this kind of lock. If it's not worth it, it might not be worth it to us. That is another completely. Um. It's still. It's on the table. And speaking of tables, I'm gonna look for something like a table or, um. Or a wrench or just really anything. And that is how I'm gonna attempt to break it, because I don't think. I think that lock is too thick to just yank and break, if that makes sense. [00:20:13] Speaker B: It's a very high quality padlock. [00:20:16] Speaker C: Yeah. So what I'm thinking of is the. [00:20:19] Speaker B: Newest thing in this entire house. [00:20:21] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. So I'm thinking maybe if I could, for example, let's say it's on, like, the door knob or whatever, right? I'm thinking of breaking the knob itself, or around it to kind of just open it like that, so that way the door will have to swing open. [00:20:39] Speaker E: Hey, actually, Aubrey, question. What's this door made out of? [00:20:43] Speaker B: It is made out of very nice, thick wooden. [00:20:49] Speaker F: What are the walls made out of? [00:20:52] Speaker B: Very nice wood. This. This house is how. [00:20:56] Speaker G: But the walls aren't thick. Huh. [00:20:58] Speaker A: Gotcha. [00:20:58] Speaker G: Noted. [00:20:59] Speaker A: We're going through the wall. Okay. Nobody found, like, a key anywhere in the whole upstairs, did they? [00:21:07] Speaker B: No. [00:21:07] Speaker A: Can I search the library real fast for, like, a key, just to see if maybe we can solve our problem quickly? [00:21:13] Speaker B: It's hidden in give me a perception. And so on the other side, we've got Laithe and Yuri. You have a door directly to your left and a door in front of you. [00:21:26] Speaker D: Is the door directly to the left locked? [00:21:30] Speaker B: Yes, that one is locked. You can gently turn the handle and feel that it's locked. [00:21:38] Speaker C: Cool. [00:21:39] Speaker D: Can I listen at it and then attempt to lockpick it if there's nothing scary behind it? My listening check is a 24. [00:21:54] Speaker B: And. Yeah, Leith, you don't hear anything from behind the door. And then you do that, and Lou, you don't find a key. [00:22:04] Speaker C: Wow. [00:22:05] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, well, I guess that just means it's not in the library. [00:22:09] Speaker B: Not that the search is bad. [00:22:11] Speaker A: Do I find anything with the 27? [00:22:14] Speaker B: Yeah, you find a lot of handwritten journals. More than you did in this study before. There's a series of them, all with the same handwriting, the same ram's head stamp on them in the same sort of unique shorthand in theme. [00:22:35] Speaker A: I will pocket any that look really interesting, especially if they look like they contain formulas. [00:22:43] Speaker B: Oh, they all seem to definitely contain formulas. And you are flipping through one of these books and it's like sketches from an autopsy and something about it feels familiar to you and you don't know why. [00:23:06] Speaker A: Oh. Hmm. Huh. [00:23:10] Speaker C: Disgustingly ominous. Can I please open this? Find a way to break this door. [00:23:19] Speaker F: While they're doing that, I'd like to attempt to repair the lockpicks that we have in case we want to make another thing. Looking up what critical failure does. It does not destroy the lock. [00:23:36] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:23:41] Speaker F: May I make that crafting check? [00:23:44] Speaker B: Yeah, you can do that. Lathe, what did you roll for your lockpick? [00:23:50] Speaker D: 23. [00:23:51] Speaker B: 23. Yeah, that unlocks that door. And gravewing will say, you don't see anything like a wrench or anything in this room specifically. [00:24:10] Speaker C: Okay, let's come back to this, because you know where it is. If you. If you find something that looks like metal, like a wrench or a crowbar, or literally just like a pipe, I can. I could probably do it. [00:24:30] Speaker D: There is, like, alchemical golem in the foyer, isn't there? [00:24:34] Speaker B: There is, yeah. And also, you do know there are fire pokers in sort of the great hall, so you could go back there? [00:24:41] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Yeah. All right. I. I'm gonna look at both of you and be like. Just stay right here. [00:24:49] Speaker A: All right? [00:24:50] Speaker C: Yeah. Okay. [00:24:52] Speaker B: Yeah. As you go to the great hall, laithe, yuri, you, niall, you open the door, and it sort of seems to be kind of like a small dining area. And there's a table, six chairs, a bit of a small hearth, and a small table in the corner. There is no food or anything in this room, but there is a door to your left and a door to your right. [00:25:29] Speaker G: Is there any signs of recent life in this room or. [00:25:31] Speaker B: No, no, this room is. When you open it and you're going through, it's just layers of dust. [00:25:38] Speaker G: Mmm. Whoever lives. [00:25:44] Speaker D: Oh, sorry, go ahead. [00:25:45] Speaker G: I was to say whoever lives here is not really one to use a kitchen. [00:25:49] Speaker E: I don't think people live here right now. [00:25:54] Speaker D: I assume this is the servants dining area now. It's so small. [00:25:59] Speaker G: With a mansion like this. I don't know. You guys would know better than me. You guys have mansions like this. [00:26:09] Speaker D: Certainly not impressing any dinner guests with a room like this. [00:26:13] Speaker G: So where do the. Oh, I guess the rich people eat upstairs, don't they? [00:26:21] Speaker E: Perhaps. I mean, it depends. This manor is old, so do you think? Because soon there's just a kitchen. Should we just. Do you want to check? Should we just go meet with everyone else? [00:26:36] Speaker D: Well, I was going to ask Aubrey, based on the sort of footprint of the manor and what we went to upstairs, is there a lot to the left, do we think, to the west? [00:26:51] Speaker B: To the west of where you are currently? [00:26:53] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:26:56] Speaker B: You think that to the west could quite possibly be more servants quarters? I mean, if you want to take a look at them, you might find. [00:27:08] Speaker D: Some stuff, but it's probably just the servants quarters. But who knows? Maybe he wanted to be clever and hide something in there. It's always something dangerous that he didn't want near himself. [00:27:23] Speaker G: Always best to check to see if we. If we miss it. It's worse than not checking. [00:27:29] Speaker E: Yeah. Okay. You're just gonna open the door. [00:27:32] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah. As you open the door, it opens into a hallway. There's a lot of doors all around you, and I am unsure if Aki is still here. Yeah. [00:27:49] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:27:52] Speaker A: Cool. [00:27:52] Speaker B: Then we'll continue on with all of you. As you sort of. You just. There's a lot of doors in here. [00:27:58] Speaker G: Oh, my God. Can I just open a random door? [00:28:02] Speaker D: No. If you try to open a random door, lathe will yell at you. [00:28:06] Speaker G: Oh, is there a problem? [00:28:10] Speaker D: Did you at least listen behind it? You saw what was upstairs. [00:28:17] Speaker E: Could I just do, like, a general perception check to see if I can hear anything? [00:28:21] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:28:27] Speaker E: Let's go, nat. 24, 29, 29. [00:28:33] Speaker B: You're relatively sure that this sort of, like, little wing area is pretty quiet? You hear sounds that are coming from further back in the house, essentially to sort of like a. Sort of a northwest wing area that was probably down the hallway. [00:28:57] Speaker E: I don't hear anything in here. These are probably just servants quarters, though. There's something. There's some stuff in the northwest. [00:29:11] Speaker D: Did you feel after taking care of that, or did you want to regroup and come back here with everyone else? [00:29:22] Speaker E: I mean, maybe we should regroup the northwest. I think it's down another hole. [00:29:31] Speaker B: Yeah. And gravewing, you're able to return to the great hall and grab a fire poker. [00:29:40] Speaker C: Nice. Um, can I do my thing? Mm hmm. [00:29:47] Speaker B: I will need an athletics check. [00:29:49] Speaker C: Oh, I'm on the right ear. 1 second. Moving on the map. Athletics. [00:29:57] Speaker B: Are you trying to do this quietly, or are you not really caring about that? [00:30:06] Speaker C: I. If I say yes to quiet, does that change what I roll? [00:30:15] Speaker B: If I'm gonna change what you roll, it'll be a higher DC. [00:30:18] Speaker C: Higher DC. Okay, let me double check here. I'm gonna say no, for the quiet part, because I think the way gravewing sees it is that I got fire poker and I'm about to attack a door. Um, this lock is really big, and it. When it falls down, it's gonna clamp. Like, it's gonna come down pretty hard. Like, it's gonna be loud. This place is really quiet. It'll echo so red wings, like, ah, fuck it. We ball. [00:30:55] Speaker B: Yeah? [00:30:56] Speaker C: Mm hmm. Does a 25 do it? [00:31:08] Speaker B: A 25 starts the process. It's going to take you a minute. It's a success, but it's going to take you a minute to just leverage and to do this. And it makes a lot of noise. So I'm going to need an initiative roll from everyone. [00:31:28] Speaker C: Mm hmm, mm hmm, mm hmm. [00:31:31] Speaker A: Excuse me, from the door. [00:31:36] Speaker B: Aubrey, just. [00:31:38] Speaker E: What the hell? [00:31:39] Speaker G: I have bad news about the door being a mimic. [00:31:42] Speaker D: Why? [00:31:42] Speaker A: It was making wet noises, dripping noises. It was like saliva. And we opened a mimic. [00:31:48] Speaker G: The door is hungry. [00:31:49] Speaker C: Is it a mimic? [00:31:51] Speaker B: It is not a mimic. [00:31:53] Speaker C: Stop getting my fucking hopes up, y'all. [00:31:57] Speaker E: Oh, the excitement on your face. [00:32:01] Speaker B: You essentially. I know you do. And there will be mimics at some point, but you just were very loud and attracted attention of everyone in. On the floor. [00:32:12] Speaker D: Oh, that's. [00:32:13] Speaker C: That's fine, that's fine, that's fine, that's fine, that's fine. Look at. Look at where we're at. We have the stairwell to go back upstairs. [00:32:22] Speaker A: We're fine. I'm. [00:32:23] Speaker C: This was calculated, I promise. [00:32:25] Speaker B: Still goals. Upstairs. [00:32:27] Speaker C: Yeah. This goes to the library that didn't have it. And the ghouls upstairs were behind a door. [00:32:32] Speaker B: That's true district. [00:32:33] Speaker C: They were behind and on the opposite side. We closed all the doors. That means the ghouls gotta fucking open all the doors and get to us. [00:32:42] Speaker A: And we never opened those ghoul doors, so in theory, they never know about us. [00:32:45] Speaker C: No. Yeah, exactly. And we close the hallway doors for it. So it's like we. We've got. We've got certain things now. [00:32:52] Speaker G: If they're ghosts, there's a ghast on the list. I don't like that. [00:32:56] Speaker A: Oh. [00:32:59] Speaker C: The gas is what you call the cast. [00:33:02] Speaker A: There's a lot of baddies. Aubrey. [00:33:05] Speaker E: Aubrey did say everyone on the floor, to be fair. [00:33:09] Speaker G: Well, I thought it was like, fuck it, we ball hit something. [00:33:11] Speaker E: There's like 17 dice rolling for those that hang. [00:33:15] Speaker C: Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. I'm gonna take no slander because at the very least I get gave some fan service. I didn't get a chance to describe how I opened the door. [00:33:26] Speaker D: It's not slender when what we're saying is 100% true. [00:33:30] Speaker C: Exactly. But it could be considered slender if I don't like what you're saying. [00:33:34] Speaker G: I don't think that's how it works. [00:33:36] Speaker D: I don't know about that. [00:33:38] Speaker C: That is totally how it works. That's how people get offended in real life. [00:33:41] Speaker A: There's so many. Aubrey. [00:33:45] Speaker C: We fought worse. [00:33:47] Speaker A: Have we? [00:33:48] Speaker B: Great. What was your initiative? [00:33:50] Speaker C: 21. [00:33:51] Speaker B: 21. Okay. And now you can. How do you open this? [00:33:54] Speaker C: As I am, like, you see gravewing holding the fire poker, like, moving it in certain angles, like, trying to be like, this way, this way, this way. And then, fuck it, we ball, and she just shoves it in and, like, benny Jacinto's arms in the fifth episode of acolyte just works it. And. And we pry it, like. Like, for ex narrative example, halfway open. And then we hear, like, everything else moving around and be like. Mm hmm. Yeah, this house is big. [00:34:30] Speaker B: Mm hmm. So, Yuri, you're the first one in initiative at the moment. You just hear a really loud noise from the other side of the thing. You're not really. You're not aware of everything yet. [00:34:46] Speaker E: Yeah, I started moving towards the main room. I'm going to spend movement to get to this main hall. So let's see. Okay, you said one action. 112-3451. More action of movement, I guess. 12345. Can't see anything. What direction did I hear the big sound from? [00:35:21] Speaker B: The other side of the main room. Whereas you're on the left side. You heard it from the right side. [00:35:26] Speaker E: Gotcha. 12345. Yeah, well, I started running that way. That's all my actions. [00:35:41] Speaker B: Somewhere deeper in the house, you start to hear noise. [00:35:47] Speaker E: Fucking shit. [00:35:55] Speaker B: And, yeah, as the door to your right, Alistair, opens, you sort of see this gassed sort of in the frame. This one looks even more desiccated than the usual ghouls. This is someone who's been suffering with this disease for so long, it has mutated their body past being human inflatable, and they had to spend all three of their actions to get here. And there's also more sounds from deeper in the house. And, niall, you're still in the. You're sort of in the little dining area to move back towards where everyone else is. And through the door across from you, a ghoul sort of slides through, sort of, like, kind of crouched and, like, hissing and looks directly at you and cocks its head. [00:37:06] Speaker G: Hi, buddy. [00:37:09] Speaker B: I am graveling. It is now you. And I need you to give me a fortitude. Safe, real quick as this gas moves into frame, it's horrible. Smell. [00:37:20] Speaker C: 24. [00:37:23] Speaker B: A 24 that will succeed, and you will be immune to it for 1 minute. So you just sort of hold your breath. [00:37:36] Speaker C: Okay, but it's my turn. Yeah. [00:37:38] Speaker B: Yes. [00:37:39] Speaker C: Okay, cool. I'm gonna use an action to get in front of it like this. I guess, uh, in theory, what I would like to do is to be. Is to. To block it from Alistair and from Lou, which on the map, it's a little bit hard to do since this is kind of. It's like kind of two by two right now. Um, but that. That is narrative purposes. I'm getting in front of our boy and with one action, second action, what am I gonna do? Let's flurry of blows it and see what happens. We fought aghast before, right? I'm just blanking so hard, like I can't recall anything about them. Besides, they stink. [00:38:48] Speaker B: If you want to make a society, religion or occultism check, you can spend. [00:38:55] Speaker C: An action to do that. [00:38:56] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:38:56] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. That's right. Okay. Yeah. And then I can flurry of blows as my third, so. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's pretty good. Okay. For society. I got an 18. [00:39:13] Speaker B: An 18. You can ask one question. [00:39:22] Speaker C: What is its weakness? [00:39:28] Speaker B: It does not have any weaknesses. You do know that gas are healed by negative energy and hurt by positive energy, but they're not particularly weak to it. I'll give you its immunities as well. Death effects, disease, paralyzed, poison, and unconscious. [00:39:50] Speaker C: 1 second. I just want to double check. [00:39:55] Speaker B: Your stunning fist should still work on it because not a paralyzed. [00:39:59] Speaker C: Not paralyzed. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I wanted to double check the wording on stunning fists, Stone, just. Just in case. [00:40:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:40:05] Speaker C: Okay, cool. Is it a free action to be like, don't do any void damage to this thing? Yeah, that happens. And, yeah, last action will be the flurry of blows it. And where is my thing? Okay, it's right here, Nat 20 for the first hit. [00:40:38] Speaker B: All right, that is definitely going to hit. [00:40:42] Speaker C: I watched it roll the 20. I was like, wow. Okay. And that will be stunning. I guess so that's. It needs to make a fortitude save, right? [00:40:57] Speaker B: Yes, it does. [00:40:58] Speaker C: Do you need my DC? [00:41:01] Speaker B: I'll tell you what. It rolls. It rolled a 14. [00:41:05] Speaker A: It fails. [00:41:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:06] Speaker C: Class DC, right? [00:41:08] Speaker B: Yeah, it's your class DC. [00:41:09] Speaker C: Nice. It's stunned. [00:41:13] Speaker B: Yeah. So it'll be stunned one. [00:41:17] Speaker C: We do quick cards, right? [00:41:19] Speaker B: Yeah. You got a Nat 20. So I will draw you that crit cardinal I initially intended this for to be two separate encounters. We're just doing it all in one go. [00:41:33] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:41:33] Speaker C: Look at that. We're efficient. [00:41:35] Speaker B: Mm hmm. And the card you pull is called backbreaker. And it is until healed. The target is clumsy too. And enfeebled too. [00:41:52] Speaker G: And his name is John Cena. [00:41:58] Speaker C: This gas truly did not see me coming. [00:42:01] Speaker B: That's only one of your attacks. [00:42:03] Speaker C: That's only one of my attacks. And I still haven't rolled damage for it yet. But I'm just gonna give you all the damage together. [00:42:08] Speaker B: Yeah. That's generally how you do it. With flurry of blows. [00:42:12] Speaker C: Yeah. Jesus Christ. 24. [00:42:20] Speaker B: 24 is going to hit. It won't be a crit. [00:42:22] Speaker C: Mm hmm. Fucking wild. Even with the. With the penalty. I rolled 19 on the die. Let's go. Okay, so 1 second. Just figuring out. Oh, no. Yeah, this thing does have damage rolls. Okay. And one's for crit. Okay, so there's that one. And then, um, I'm just gonna pull out my calculator because I love. I'm very in love with my desktop calculator app. Did you know that? Now you do. [00:43:01] Speaker G: If you love it so much, why don't you marry it? [00:43:03] Speaker C: I would. It saves me all the time. So it takes 25. [00:43:07] Speaker B: 25 damage. [00:43:08] Speaker C: Damage. Yeah, as a total, including the crit. So, yeah, gravewing's gonna step in front of Alister, tell y'all not to do any void damage to it, and then when it, like, properly rears into the door, this. This bitch gets real, real fucked up. It's all elbows just, bam. Bashing its head to the side of the wall a couple of times and then, like, one more. One more punch to the equivalent of a jaw. And that's where the stud maybe comes from. Yeah. But if this thing could be, like, hanging for dear life on a wall, that's basically what it looks like. [00:43:56] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. You are getting those early attacks in, which really helps. And we come to more sounds deep within the house, as everyone saw, I rolled out of dice. [00:44:16] Speaker G: Ah, fuck. [00:44:17] Speaker B: And it's fine. I'm sure it's fine. [00:44:18] Speaker G: It's not fine. It's not fine, guys. [00:44:21] Speaker B: I'm sure it's fine. [00:44:23] Speaker G: She's lying. That motherfucker's lying. [00:44:27] Speaker B: Um, and there enters another guest on this side where gravewing, Alouette, and Alistair are. And yeah, this one didn't have to open any doors, so it still has two actions and is going to spend its second action to attack you, Alistair. And that is a 29 to hit you. [00:45:14] Speaker F: That will be a crit. [00:45:16] Speaker B: This will be a crit. Okay. I need you to give me a two fortitude saves. [00:45:23] Speaker F: Oh, goodness. [00:45:24] Speaker B: Two. [00:45:26] Speaker F: I've not had luck with these today. So the first is a 15. [00:45:36] Speaker B: Mm hmm. [00:45:38] Speaker F: And the second. [00:45:44] Speaker B: Would you like to spend hero points on either of those? [00:45:48] Speaker F: Um, yeah, I'll spend a hero point on that two that I just rolled. And the second is eleven, not a. [00:46:03] Speaker B: Critical failure, so that's good. Um, yeah. Uh, this thing gets a chomp out of your shoulder for 22 damage, and you are now paralyzed. [00:46:25] Speaker F: Okay. [00:46:27] Speaker B: And then it is going to. It's just going to follow that up with another attack that it has you on the ropes before. 26. [00:46:45] Speaker A: Hey, can I. [00:46:48] Speaker B: Yes, you can try. [00:46:50] Speaker A: I just remembered I have it. [00:46:53] Speaker B: Hold on. [00:46:53] Speaker A: I don't remember what it is. I just remember that I can. [00:46:56] Speaker C: What are those wacky little icons beside our little guy? What? [00:47:01] Speaker A: What are those? [00:47:02] Speaker B: Panic and fear. [00:47:04] Speaker C: Oh, my goodness. [00:47:06] Speaker A: Oh. Distracting cacophony or disrupting harmony. One of the two is what I would like to please do. [00:47:15] Speaker B: Okay. I believe you need a will save from me. [00:47:18] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:47:23] Speaker B: Oh, there's a 24. [00:47:25] Speaker A: That sounds like a failed. [00:47:28] Speaker B: Yeah, no, no. Is that first. Is your class DC? [00:47:32] Speaker A: Yeah. Which is 19, I think. [00:47:39] Speaker B: And it rolled to 24. [00:47:41] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry, my brain swapped those numbers. Yeah. Never mind. Okay. Have a good time. Bye, Alistair. It was nice knowing you. [00:47:50] Speaker B: He's a 26 critical. [00:47:53] Speaker F: Also a critical. Now that I'm paralyzed. [00:48:01] Speaker B: For 14 damage. [00:48:03] Speaker F: That is enough to put me at exactly zero. [00:48:08] Speaker B: Okay, so I believe because it's also critical, you're at dying, too. [00:48:14] Speaker G: Listen, I know I was bragging on Alistair the past several sessions, but not like this. Not like this, Aubrey. [00:48:23] Speaker B: And that's. That's all of its turn. It can't do anything else. [00:48:27] Speaker A: It doesn't need to, Lou. [00:48:32] Speaker C: Take. Take him. [00:48:34] Speaker B: Take. [00:48:34] Speaker C: Take that child and run. If you can. Oh, my goodness. If you can, I can buy time. [00:48:42] Speaker A: I don't know. [00:48:45] Speaker C: Oh, cool. [00:48:46] Speaker A: Everything is darkest. Oh, yeah. [00:48:50] Speaker B: I mean. [00:48:53] Speaker C: I'm so sorry, y'all. I would. If we were level four, I would have my attack of opportunity. I do not have it now. I do have mystical strikes, so just in case, if you were having any damage, you shouldn't. [00:49:07] Speaker F: I'll just be rolling up another character. [00:49:10] Speaker A: No, no, it's fine, it's fine. I can help. I can help. [00:49:14] Speaker B: Uh huh. [00:49:14] Speaker A: I can help. [00:49:16] Speaker B: Quick question, gravewing. What is your reflex? DC. [00:49:24] Speaker C: That's ten to my reflex save, right? [00:49:26] Speaker B: Yes. [00:49:28] Speaker C: 2020. [00:49:30] Speaker B: Okay, you see movement out of the corner of your eye as a ghoul comes down the hallway and uses an action to tumble through, moving through your space and its compatriot spaces to right behind Alistair. [00:49:54] Speaker G: Leave that little guy alone. [00:49:57] Speaker A: Wait, you mean where I am? [00:49:59] Speaker C: Yeah, it's in front of you. [00:50:01] Speaker E: It's gonna get eaten, and then they're gonna eat me. [00:50:06] Speaker B: But Grace. And great news is, it has no more actions. [00:50:11] Speaker A: That's not good news. That's neutral and lewd. [00:50:15] Speaker B: Is that your turn? [00:50:17] Speaker C: God, if it did. If you. If its in the shit was just a little bit lower. [00:50:22] Speaker A: Okay, that's it. Okay, so I have questions. I have lots of questions, and I need answers. [00:50:29] Speaker B: I will do my best. [00:50:30] Speaker A: Question one. Does Alistair appear to have any persistent damage affecting him? [00:50:38] Speaker B: No. [00:50:39] Speaker A: Okay. Question two. If they. If I did battle medicine, would that remove the dying condition? [00:50:52] Speaker B: Yes, that would give. That would give. Did you pick up the battle medicine feat? [00:50:56] Speaker A: I have battle medicine and route to life. I'm trying to figure out if I need you. So both, or one? [00:51:01] Speaker B: No, battle medicine would clear and get them back up on their feet. Currently, you'd have to get through the ghoul first. [00:51:09] Speaker A: Okay, yeah, that was my fourth question. So we'll do question three. [00:51:15] Speaker B: You see, on the map, it's kind of like the ghoul is between you and this bookcase, which Alister's on the other side of. [00:51:22] Speaker A: Strictly speaking, I don't even see Alistair anymore. I just see ghoul, which tracks. That's just. That's just. I just actually, I take it back. I can see Alister's horrifying list of conditions, and then the ghoul, I see. [00:51:36] Speaker G: A pop up and you're like, oh, that doesn't look good. [00:51:38] Speaker A: The ghoul looks terrible. I wish. So, question three is actually, we're shifting. Question three. Is it theoretically possible to grab Alistar and drag him past the ghoul? [00:51:58] Speaker B: You'd have to roll to tumble through the ghoul's space, because currently the ghoul is between you and Alister. And there's no, like. Because of the way the bookshelf is, you can't, like, move diagonally past it. [00:52:11] Speaker A: Okay, consider Alistair is very small. [00:52:15] Speaker B: Yeah, but still, there's a ghoul between you and him. [00:52:17] Speaker A: Okay, okay, okay, okay. Um. Okay. Question four. Are the stairs the only other door in this room? Like, uh, that does not have ghouls in the way, I guess. [00:52:32] Speaker F: Stairs. [00:52:33] Speaker B: And there's also, uh, there's a door in the corner. [00:52:36] Speaker A: Okay. That is a door. [00:52:37] Speaker B: Okay. [00:52:40] Speaker A: Righty oh, gosh. Okay, so I have to kill the ghoul before I can save Alister. [00:52:50] Speaker B: Not necessarily. If you can tumble through the ghoul, essentially tumble through. You can end up on Alistair's space because they are currently prone. You can be in the same space as them. [00:53:04] Speaker A: And that's gonna require, like. [00:53:07] Speaker B: An acrobatics same thing. Um, it is a thing you can attempt even though you're untrained. [00:53:14] Speaker A: Yep. It would be a flat check. Um. Uh, is that. Hold on, one check. Nope, that's not helpful. Um, this. I have. I have a thought, and it might not. You might just say no outright. If I had somehow ropes, could I lasso Alistair and drag him out that way? [00:53:56] Speaker B: You could make a. Honestly, I'd say it would probably be a crafting check. [00:54:02] Speaker A: I have crafting because I can cast a spell called inside ropes and lasso Alistar with my intestines and drag him to. [00:54:17] Speaker B: I will say that you're not sure if the ghoul has an attack of opportunity. We fought before. [00:54:22] Speaker A: We would know that. We fought a lot of ghouls. We would know that. [00:54:28] Speaker B: Do you remember if they do, I. [00:54:32] Speaker A: Could go through my notes, but I don't want to be here for ten more minutes. [00:54:37] Speaker B: It's fair. It's fair. I was just saying, if anything does have an attack of opportunity and you move him with this, they will get a chance to attack. It is a risk that you can take if you also, if you have anybody. [00:54:56] Speaker A: I'm pretty sure they didn't do. They have opportunity? Tax. Anybody? Anybody? Anybody. [00:55:02] Speaker B: Do you want to. I will. I will give you the information. If you want to give me a society or a cultism or religion check. [00:55:09] Speaker A: I mean, I. [00:55:10] Speaker B: For an action, I. I feel like. [00:55:13] Speaker A: We should already know this information. I just know I'm not going to do enough damage to this ghoul and I can't save my life. [00:55:21] Speaker B: I'll give you ghoul, you know, doesn't have an opportunity attack. You don't know about the ghast because currently the ghast is right in front of Alistair. [00:55:29] Speaker A: There's not a corner between Alistair and the guest. [00:55:32] Speaker B: No, there is two ghasts. [00:55:33] Speaker A: Yeah. And then a corner. And then Alistair and ghoul. [00:55:36] Speaker B: One is. One is right in front of gravewing. One is right in front of Alistair. [00:55:41] Speaker A: Okay. Alistair must be somewhere different than I thought he was. Fair enough. [00:55:46] Speaker B: Yeah. So if you want to see exactly what it looks like, I'll drop it in chat. This is what it looks like. [00:55:54] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Alistair is definitely in a different position on my screen. I understand now. I actually. I don't see. I only see me. Oh, it's cause of the wall. That's why. [00:56:03] Speaker B: That's why I can't see the wall away. [00:56:05] Speaker A: Okay. Hilarious. I can only see the enemies. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. I have no good options. I have only bad options. [00:56:18] Speaker F: Save yourself. You barely know Alistair. [00:56:22] Speaker A: I don't think Lou is capable of doing that. I have all bad options. I don't know how to do. [00:56:33] Speaker E: A bad option. [00:56:36] Speaker A: Yeah, because it's just going to be a flat check to tumble through, risking an opportunity attack, which could kill him, or trying to fight a ghoul with my zero zero fighting ability. Okay. I don't have anything else I can do. [00:56:57] Speaker C: Can you do aoe damage? [00:56:59] Speaker A: I got nothing. I got nothing. [00:57:06] Speaker B: I mean, your best bet may be just to try and take out the ghoul. [00:57:09] Speaker A: I can't, but I can try. I mean, I can't. I just know I can't because I can't do enough damage to do that. [00:57:14] Speaker C: But it doesn't matter. Just start the damage. I'm right there. The ghoul and both the gas are within hitting range for me. [00:57:25] Speaker B: Graveling will go again before this ghast. Does one guest or the ghoul even? Yeah, the gas has range. [00:57:34] Speaker C: I have enough range and mobility to handle all these. You can even run if you wanted to and it would be relatively fine. [00:57:45] Speaker D: Nope. [00:57:45] Speaker C: But if you don't, then your best bet is to get at least ship damage in and gravel can do the rest. Objectively. [00:57:54] Speaker A: Um. [00:57:58] Speaker C: Um. [00:58:00] Speaker A: I just don't want Alistair to die because there's just too many targets and he's. If he gets hit again, he's dead or close to it anyway. [00:58:10] Speaker C: He's dying, too. You need to go to dying. [00:58:12] Speaker G: Five. [00:58:13] Speaker C: Right, dying. [00:58:13] Speaker B: Four. [00:58:14] Speaker C: Four. [00:58:14] Speaker A: So he's already. [00:58:15] Speaker G: Five is when you have die hard. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:58:19] Speaker A: All right, I'm gonna just. I'm gonna try the flat check to try to tumble through. I don't think it's gonna work, but I'm gonna try. You know what? I'm using hero point on Alistair. That is a. Oh. Oh. That is a 19. Sorry. I read it as a 14, and then I realized that was a nine. [00:58:47] Speaker B: So the ghoul has a 19. DC. So meets. Beats. Oh, yes. [00:58:58] Speaker D: Okay. [00:58:59] Speaker A: Jesus. There was only two numbers I could have wrote. [00:59:02] Speaker B: Yes. [00:59:03] Speaker G: You did it. [00:59:04] Speaker B: Oh, my God. You are now standing over Alistair. [00:59:08] Speaker A: Okay, we're gonna. We're gonna battle medicine. [00:59:13] Speaker B: Come on. [00:59:14] Speaker A: Bell dice. That's not a good number. [00:59:21] Speaker B: Remember, DC is 15. [00:59:22] Speaker A: Oh, no, that's a 30. [00:59:24] Speaker C: It is 845. So in theory, we have another hero point. [00:59:33] Speaker B: You do? We've been going for an hour. [00:59:34] Speaker A: Worst case, I can stop Alistair from dying even if I make this worse. Cause I rolled a 13. Unless Oprah wants to give him a second hero point right now in this moment. [00:59:47] Speaker B: You've been going for an hour. You do have a second hero point. [00:59:50] Speaker C: That's how I say we do have it. [00:59:51] Speaker A: That's much better. Okay, that's a 15 minutes pass. It's gonna be a 22. [00:59:56] Speaker B: A 22. And that is going to be a regular success. So Alistair will return, will get two d eight back, and be immune to battle medicine for 24 hours. [01:00:05] Speaker A: Okay, that's okay. And then I'm just gonna panic, stab the ghoul. So maybe it'll stab me instead of Alistair. Yeah, so that's gonna only be a 16 because I don't have anything going. [01:00:23] Speaker B: A 16 will hit the ghoul. [01:00:25] Speaker A: Oh, marvelous. Okay, they are hittable. [01:00:29] Speaker C: It's just how many times you have to hit them. [01:00:32] Speaker A: I don't have those dice out. So we're just gonna use the dice roller. That's gonna be eight damage. Cause I don't have any of my things going except for my implement, which is like, a default. And then she's just gonna, like, scream really loudly. Cause they're already all coming. And maybe it'll also grab our friends and my cousin. [01:00:51] Speaker B: Mm hmm. Yeah. [01:00:57] Speaker E: Stressful. [01:01:01] Speaker C: Y'all understand how boxed in we are? It's so funny. Boston boxed in. [01:01:08] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:01:10] Speaker C: But, like, also, I don't know what's going on on the other side, and I kind of want to see. [01:01:15] Speaker A: I know. I'm scared for them. [01:01:18] Speaker B: Leith, it is now your turn. [01:01:20] Speaker D: Can I ask you a couple questions and then potentially delay my turn, depending on your answers? [01:01:26] Speaker B: Uh, sure. [01:01:29] Speaker D: Is there a window? I think you said there was a window out of in the dining room, right? Are there any windows in this hallway? [01:01:37] Speaker B: Yes, there is a window directly to your left all the way down the hallway. And there might be other ones, but that's the only one you can see right now. [01:01:48] Speaker D: Okay, and if I look out that window, I don't see any ghouls outside. [01:01:57] Speaker B: Not directly, not that you can just do in a quick if you want to look. That's really like a check, but if you want to just take a glance. No, you don't see any. [01:02:07] Speaker D: Okay. Because I know we ran in here, but I can't remember how closely we. [01:02:12] Speaker A: Were being pursued. [01:02:15] Speaker D: So Laithe is going to shout, ten. I'll lock the door and follow me. And is going to start. Oh, that's just the measury tool. Is going to start running down this hallway. I see a door to the, like, main room, right? [01:02:38] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:02:39] Speaker D: Wait, let me start counting my steps, but. Okay. Is going to run to the right and is then going to. Is this door locked? The door into the main room? [01:02:53] Speaker B: Yes. [01:02:54] Speaker C: Fuck. [01:02:57] Speaker D: Okay, then can I spend it? How do you turn to lock picket? How long does it take? [01:03:14] Speaker B: Was like, pick a lock is two actions. [01:03:29] Speaker G: I mean, you use one action to get over there. So two actions will be good. [01:03:33] Speaker D: I had to use two actions to. [01:03:34] Speaker A: Move. [01:03:40] Speaker G: As a free action to yell, fend him off or something. I don't fucking know. [01:03:44] Speaker D: Can I try to kick the door? I don't know. Yeah, I want to try and kick the door down. It's a servant door. It should be easier. [01:03:57] Speaker B: Yeah, it is going to be an athletics check. [01:04:08] Speaker D: I'm going to use a hero point. That is a 22. [01:04:20] Speaker B: A 22 is you. You give it a couple of good kicks and it's starting to splinter, but it's not there yet. Unfortunately, someone really did not skimp on doors in this house. [01:04:30] Speaker C: Ah, shit. [01:04:33] Speaker B: It will need another, like, another one more good shove to open it. Okay, cool. [01:04:39] Speaker D: That is my turn, Niall. [01:04:42] Speaker B: It is not your turn. [01:04:43] Speaker G: I was given instructions, so I guess how many? If I leave and lock the door, is that like, two actions? I have one more movement left, or is it just like. [01:04:53] Speaker B: I will say, you don't see a lock on the door? [01:04:56] Speaker D: I thought this door was locked. Oh, no, it was the other one. [01:05:01] Speaker G: Oh, it's not locked. And these guys are very clearly able. [01:05:05] Speaker B: To open door action to, like, close a door. [01:05:08] Speaker C: Okay. [01:05:09] Speaker G: It's an action to close a door. Um hmm. Honestly, I don't, I don't know if fighting is a good option, but late is kind of fighting for her life over here. Can I hear that lathe is fighting for her life over here? [01:05:25] Speaker B: Probably. Uh, I don't think it was being quiet at this point. [01:05:28] Speaker G: Then I'm just going to say I'm gonna show for lathe to duck as I'm gonna use my first action to walk it about here. And I guess if I use an. I don't know if I can not. [01:05:44] Speaker B: Hit her with an Aoe attack, you would need blood. Anything that does bludgeoning damage to take down the door. [01:05:50] Speaker G: I don't think I. Anything does bludgeoning damage. Hmm. Can I change my, can I change my turn? I think I might have to go on the offensive because of the fact that I'm like ass shit. If I have a 30 foot cone, can I hit all of these guys? [01:06:07] Speaker B: You would need to move closer. I will say, yeah, you can hit the first two. [01:06:17] Speaker G: Okay. Because it's, it's vomit swarm. It's a liquidity spell. [01:06:21] Speaker B: So like, it's just, there's walls in the way for the other two. [01:06:26] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:06:26] Speaker G: My description is like, it's pretty liquidy is by. It is by description. Like, maybe it'll, it'll flow in there and do some biting, you know? Um. Hmm. Grim tendrils is also a good option. I have a spell that'll work, but I think it might also hit Leith is the problem with where she is, because she's, I think right at the door is 25ft away, um, which is a. [01:06:48] Speaker B: What is the spell? [01:06:50] Speaker G: It's concordant choir. [01:06:52] Speaker B: The thing is, there are walls. It does not go through walls. [01:06:56] Speaker G: So would it hit these ghouls? Because there's no walls, but it wouldn't. [01:06:58] Speaker B: Hit lathe, it would hit this, it would hit three of them. [01:07:02] Speaker G: Yeah, that's all I can see on my map. [01:07:06] Speaker B: Yes, there's, it's not a fourth one. I don't know what you're talking about. [01:07:10] Speaker G: Okay. The only thing is I have to do a three action. I don't want to leave myself that vulnerable. So fuck it. I'll just hit him with a two action vomit swarm first. As Nile's mouth on their stomach just kind of opens sort of hideously, in a kind of way as these tendrils. And if you've seen the worm that throws up its insides, it looks like that. It's like these innards just kind of splash out and pierce out and I'm going to need reflex saves. [01:07:35] Speaker B: Please. [01:07:37] Speaker G: I hope you fail miserably. [01:07:41] Speaker D: Please, please, please. [01:07:43] Speaker B: What saves do they need? [01:07:45] Speaker G: It is a reflex save. The DC is 18. Okay. One of them looks like it failed. Please, please, please. Fuck. It's okay. [01:07:59] Speaker B: One failed and one succeeded. [01:08:01] Speaker G: It's okay. There's still half damage, so let me roll two d eight. And it's plus two because I have a cool little feet. Okay, that's a good, that's a good number. That's a really good roll. That's 15 points for the full damage and half of that for the half damage. And I can't close the door because that's two actions. So I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna. Five. I'm gonna just run pat after lathe and be like. And 2345. I'm trying my best. There's no walk. [01:08:42] Speaker B: All right? And so that'll bring us to the end of the first round. And I think this is the perfect cliffhanger to leave this on as the group, as half the group finds themselves trapped in a hallway and then the other one just sort of found a little overrun by ghasts. [01:09:10] Speaker E: I think I hear my cousin screaming. [01:09:13] Speaker B: Yes, you do. Yeah. Well, join us just next week to see how this combat turns out. [01:09:21] Speaker G: It's not gonna turn out good for me. I'm kind of squishy. [01:09:26] Speaker B: So, yeah, take us out. [01:09:29] Speaker G: Thank you for listening to another horrifying episode of Goblets and Gays. If you like what we do here, feel free to follow us on Twitter at goblins and gaze Instagram gaze.
