[00:00:51] Speaker A: Hold my hand let me stare by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me these demon tells Roman light it calls me he is reaching out, consuming.
[00:01:30] Speaker B: Hello, everybody, and welcome back to tyrant of the dark star. I'm aubrey, your gm, and I will toss it to my players, let you know who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll figure out how this combat's gonna go.
[00:01:44] Speaker C: Hi, my name's Aki. Pronouns are sheikh, and I am playing gravewing, who is our monk, Kinesis.
That's it. That's all you get to know about her.
[00:01:58] Speaker B: Oh.
[00:01:59] Speaker C: Also uses she her pronouns.
[00:02:02] Speaker D: Hi, y'all, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play lay, the driesee, our dampier, dandy, and rogue, who uses she any pronouns?
[00:02:14] Speaker B: It's me.
[00:02:15] Speaker E: Hello, I'm dusty. I use they he pronouns, and I'm playing eurydo, just eurydo for now. They also use they he pronouns, and they are going to be our blood hunter.
[00:02:29] Speaker A: Hello, I am firx.
[00:02:30] Speaker B: I'm ushe her pronouns.
[00:02:31] Speaker A: And I am playing Alouette, Valer, the nephilim, I think is what they're called now, thaumaturge, who also uses she her pronouns.
[00:02:43] Speaker F: Hello, I am Sparlock. I use he him pronouns. I am playing Alistair Whiskerfield, the renowned wizard and investigator who uses he him pronouns also.
[00:02:58] Speaker G: Hi, I'm Tik. I use he she they pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, a wonderful flesh warp sorcerer who is definitely not a cannibal at all. Why do you even think that?
[00:03:09] Speaker B: So what happened last time?
[00:03:12] Speaker G: Gravewing triggered double combat. And I'm just saying. Aki, I love you. I love gravewing. If Alistair dies, his blood is on your hands.
That's fine, but we are in combat. Alistar's unconscious at, like, dying too.
[00:03:28] Speaker B: Alistair's conscious again?
[00:03:30] Speaker G: Yeah, for now.
For now, Leif and I are in ghoul hell. But, like, we're together, we're shaking. This is going to be a great bonding experience, huh? So we're both going to suffer over the ghouls.
[00:03:42] Speaker D: I'm leaving you to die.
[00:03:45] Speaker B: So, yes, we're at the top of round two with Yuri.
[00:03:52] Speaker E: Beautiful question for you. Do I hear just because kind of darkness on my screen?
Do I? Oh, I know where I'm hearing all this stuff from now. I could see it. So take one step forward.
Yeah. So I'm gonna use my first action to move. 23450, Yuri burst through the door. Oh, shit.
[00:04:19] Speaker B: Yeah. What? Grappling. You see your cousin standing over a rat and you see two guests.
[00:04:27] Speaker E: What the fuck is this? Okay, first action. I'm gonna use this fancy new titan steel Sarah to attack this first one in front of me, actually. Second action. First attack.
[00:04:42] Speaker B: Hmm.
[00:04:44] Speaker E: I'm gonna use a hero.
[00:04:46] Speaker B: Point wise idea.
[00:04:50] Speaker E: That is a much better role.
That is two plus eight. So it's a 26.
[00:05:00] Speaker B: Oh, that'll hit, not a crit.
[00:05:02] Speaker E: Beautiful. So this is just gonna be a d eight of damage.
That's two. So it's gonna be five slashing damage against this first one.
[00:05:16] Speaker B: Okay, got one more action.
[00:05:19] Speaker E: Second attack. Ooh, do I want to take this penalty? Probably. I'm second attack. Gary is going to pull out. Well, they already had it out. They're dueling pistol. Because they heard a bunch of noise. They don't have to worry about being quiet. I. And attack this second one.
A pistol isn't finesse. Right? It could be finesse.
[00:05:45] Speaker B: Uh, no, I don't think so.
[00:05:50] Speaker E: So it's a. It's a minus five, right?
[00:05:53] Speaker B: Normally, uh, yes.
[00:05:56] Speaker E: I miss. I miss having better stats.
So that's going to be 16.
[00:06:03] Speaker B: A 16 is not going to hit.
[00:06:06] Speaker E: A bang goes off as with momentum, eurudo misses and shoots through the door instead. I guess.
[00:06:18] Speaker B: Okay.
It'll bring us to the guest's turn. They're not having a good time.
They lose their first action to the stunt condition. So they have two actions left.
Gravewingen really walloped them, so, yeah, they're going to turn back on you with a jaw strike.
I don't believe a 17 hits you.
Yeah, they're still a little thrown off, and then they're just going to follow it up with a claw attack for a 24.
Yeah, you're a little too busy trying to dodge the. The jaws and you're hit by the claws. And I'm gonna need a fortitude save.
[00:07:07] Speaker C: 25.
[00:07:08] Speaker B: 25 you are fine.
You do not become paralyzed. And, yeah, you're gonna take four slashing damage from the ghoul, and that'll be the end of its turn.
And, niall, you've got a friend.
[00:07:33] Speaker G: We're acquaintances at best. Just because we're both. What is it? Abominations. Doesn't mean we're friends.
[00:07:41] Speaker B: How does a 20 sound?
[00:07:43] Speaker G: It does hit. Fortunately, it is not a critical.
[00:07:46] Speaker B: All right, give me two fortitude saves.
[00:07:50] Speaker G: I hate you. Can I also use a reaction, potentially?
[00:07:54] Speaker B: Let's resolve this first.
[00:07:56] Speaker G: Okay.
We have several hero points, right?
[00:08:02] Speaker B: Technically, yes.
[00:08:03] Speaker G: I'm going to use one. I don't want to take a four. On that dice roll, please.
[00:08:06] Speaker C: Technically, we would have two with a third coming in in, like, seven minutes.
[00:08:12] Speaker G: I'm going to use one of my hero players. I haven't used any. I would like to use some hero points, please. Thank you.
Okay. That's a lot better. For the disease poison one. That is a 25 for the disease poison one.
The non disease poison one is going to be bad.
That's gonna be just a ten. That's gonna be a crit fail, I think. But I also can't use that many hero points at once, I don't think.
[00:08:42] Speaker B: Yeah. You become paralyzed.
[00:08:46] Speaker G: Please define that for the class. Does it mean I just can't do anything?
[00:08:50] Speaker B: Yes. You cannot move. You cannot take actions that are. That you only need to take actions that have the mental trait. So, like recalling knowledge and stuff.
[00:09:01] Speaker G: Can I check something? I can't do my reaction then.
[00:09:04] Speaker B: Hold on. You are frozen in place. Yeah. That's why I said resolve this first. That would try again.
[00:09:11] Speaker G: To Geth is just gonna leave me to die, which is very unfortunate.
[00:09:17] Speaker B: And you're going to take two piercing damage.
[00:09:22] Speaker G: Okay, I can manage that.
[00:09:28] Speaker B: And, yeah, down the hallway comes a second ghoul, and they are going to use their third action to tumble through your space. Niall, therefore flanking you with his friend.
[00:09:46] Speaker G: Ah, fuck. That's not good.
[00:09:49] Speaker B: I'm in a lot of trouble, guys. Yeah, it's not looking great.
Graveling. It's not your turn.
[00:10:00] Speaker C: All right, all right, all right.
Yuri showed up. Yay. Yuri almost shot me. Boo.
Seeing what's going on, Draven kind of takes a deep breath to swallow a sigh, because it's not like a sigh. I'm bored or anything like that. It's more like a sigh. I don't want to do this.
And she's just going to kind of look at the cousins and be like, if you start swinging at me, I'm going to have to start swinging at you. And I will use my first action to take dragon stance. As you see.
So. So bravewing was, like, in your standard classic, like, fighter stance. Light on her feet, arms up.
But for this next bit, she stops bouncing as, like, her body rears down and then very up as her legs turn into a very long snake tail, you hear her spine dislocate and then reallocate to where it should be. And you've seen gravewing quite literally, basically naked before. And so, like, her. And her body always looked rather stocky for its short stature.
With this full tail form, it looks very evened out, actually. It looks quite balanced and proportionate as she becomes the equivalent of somewhere in between seven to nine, like, feet long from head to tip of tail.
And she's ready for a lack of better words.
Bitch in front of me.
[00:12:24] Speaker E: We.
[00:12:25] Speaker C: We gonna.
I did a lot of damage to it.
To the guest in front of me.
Do I got a roll to. How does it look? I like it looks bad.
[00:12:42] Speaker B: It looks bloody.
[00:12:43] Speaker C: Yeah, it looks so. Okay. Okay, that's. That. That's good to know. I think then I will do a proper, like, flurry of blows on it then, um, just in an attempt to take it out. Now, um, the best part about this stance is that my damage dies more and I have backswing.
So if we miss. No, we don't.
It's the best way to put it.
28.
[00:13:15] Speaker B: 28 will hit. And because of all the stuff on it is a crit.
[00:13:24] Speaker C: Raw.
Damn. Could I. Would it be? I know. I flurried of blows.
How about I wreck?
Because there's a chance that my damage could just straight up out it?
Fuck it, I said, flory, they don't.
[00:13:44] Speaker B: Have to hit the same creature.
[00:13:46] Speaker G: Yeah, you can attack different things with warrior blows. The only thing is, if you do, you can't stunning strike.
[00:13:50] Speaker C: Okay, then I'll take that then.
[00:13:53] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:54] Speaker C: Okay. That's really good to know, because I was like, what if you'll just have.
[00:13:56] Speaker B: To separate the damage for this, because they will be different.
[00:13:59] Speaker C: They'll be tagging different targets. I'll do that. Thank you.
[00:14:02] Speaker G: I always talk about the same thing because I abuse the fuck. I'm stunning. Shrigs.
[00:14:05] Speaker C: I remember you did that. And I wasn't sure if it carried on in remastered, if that makes sense.
[00:14:13] Speaker G: No, I would have liked that.
[00:14:16] Speaker C: Okay, I'll do that. What is the crit card?
[00:14:22] Speaker B: You didn't roll a natural 20, so there is no card.
[00:14:24] Speaker C: Oh, yes, you're right, you're right, you're right. So just give me that double date at double dammy's.
Max damage 26.
[00:14:35] Speaker B: How do you want to take that one out?
[00:14:40] Speaker C: We in full snake mode, I think. You see, gripwing was always very nimble. She's even more now as she just kind of does the equivalent of a tumble through, only to just get in between the gassed legs, per se. And she flips her body in a way that wraps the rest of the tail around. And the thickness of the tail alone is enough to just rip this thing apart as she can just land properly on her stomach and then lunge full force forward for the other ghast that is in front of Lou and technically, Yuri.
[00:15:36] Speaker B: Yeah. And. Yeah, there's the other one. So. Yeah, roll me that attack.
[00:15:44] Speaker C: I'm sorry. I just saw what was in chat.
That's such an ominous thing to send.
21.
[00:15:55] Speaker B: 21 that will hit.
[00:15:59] Speaker C: Let's go, dammies.
Oh, that's so good. Eleven damage.
[00:16:07] Speaker B: Eleven damage. Okay.
[00:16:10] Speaker C: Yeah, this one's just a full slam against the wall, I guess.
[00:16:19] Speaker B: And you've got one more. One more.
You could take a step and reposition so that either Alistair or one of the. Or Lou. Well, actually, it's probably going to have to be Lou because Alistair is currently paralyzed till.
[00:16:41] Speaker C: Mm hmm.
[00:16:44] Speaker B: I feel bad. Alistair's not gonna get to do anything this combat.
[00:16:49] Speaker C: Yeah. No, I think I will use my next action. Cause everything in this stance, everything becomes like.
It's not finesse. So doing a third hit is really not a good idea right now.
So, yeah, I'll just move to, like, the side, I guess, to kind of open up some space and maybe. Maybe bait the other ghoul that's in front of Lou and Alistair to try and tumble through again, because that would be real funny.
But also, this one gas is kind of fucked.
That's my whole turn.
[00:17:30] Speaker B: The gas has now been put in.
[00:17:31] Speaker C: The kill box, pretty much.
[00:17:34] Speaker A: It's.
[00:17:34] Speaker C: It's a. It is a kill. It's a kill circle, technically, when you. When you think about it.
[00:17:38] Speaker B: True.
[00:17:39] Speaker C: Because there's a wall.
Uh, the name of my indie rock band.
[00:17:50] Speaker B: Alistair, give me a four to two check.
[00:17:55] Speaker F: For the possibility of maybe being able to move on the next turn.
[00:18:01] Speaker B: Yeah.
19 will let you overcome the paralytic agent in your bloodstream and be able to move again as your turn ends.
[00:18:18] Speaker C: And did you know that? I thought you said parasitic Asian. I was like, what the fuck?
[00:18:25] Speaker B: Yeah.
So it is now the guest's turn, and it's gonna sort of turn to you, Yuri, and is going to make its first attack with its jaws.
[00:18:43] Speaker E: Really good.
[00:18:47] Speaker B: Doesn't 18 hit you?
[00:18:49] Speaker E: Yeah. Cause I'm fatigued.
[00:18:52] Speaker B: Give me two fortitude saves.
[00:18:54] Speaker D: A.
[00:18:55] Speaker E: What do you do? I think 42 I'm good at, right? They're all the same.
[00:19:00] Speaker B: I would hope so.
[00:19:02] Speaker E: When they use a hero point for this set.
Okay, that's 1st. 124. Four plus 424.
Second one.
Same number, but one lower. 23.
[00:19:24] Speaker B: You are fine.
You appear to be fine. You know, the bite is probably not infected.
I probably had worse. Yeah, you probably had worse. You've had worse today.
[00:19:35] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:19:38] Speaker B: Yuri has kind of become a bit of a chew toy.
Yeah, you take six piercing damage, Howie, and it's gonna follow up with.
It's gonna attack you one more time for a 23.
[00:20:01] Speaker E: Yeah, that's it.
[00:20:04] Speaker B: Give me one more. 42 save.
[00:20:06] Speaker C: These guys are hitting so often. My goodness.
[00:20:11] Speaker E: Um, that's an 18.
[00:20:16] Speaker B: Yeah, you're fine.
It was a DC 1642 save.
And so you. You'll take nine, slashing damage from its claws.
And then it is, uh. It is going to turn to its dead compatriots.
Grab the leg. I take a bite.
As it uses this last action to consume flesh.
[00:20:46] Speaker E: No, they got the munchies and heals.
[00:20:51] Speaker B: Itself a little bit.
And it is now the ghoul that's right next to you, Lou.
And this one is going to, uh, attempt to grab you with its first action.
Uh, yeah.
Okay. This will be versus your 42 DC.
That's an eight. I don't think it does. No, actually, um.
[00:21:24] Speaker C: Does it cry fail?
[00:21:26] Speaker A: Uh, yes. My fortitude is eight plus ten. Right. So, um, that's ten less than 18.
[00:21:36] Speaker B: That's ten less. Yeah. Um. Uh, so, so you actually. Because grapple in the remaster actually has critical failure. Now, um, if the target already, uh, if target already had you, you'd be. You break free, but you can either grab it or force it to fall. Prone.
Prone.
[00:22:12] Speaker A: Prone. I'm going to just kick it in the shin. In the shin. In the knee.
[00:22:21] Speaker C: With your little heeled boots.
[00:22:23] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:22:23] Speaker C: Fucking fuck up those toes.
[00:22:25] Speaker A: I'm like, Keegan, sir.
[00:22:29] Speaker D: That was fucking anesthesia.
[00:22:31] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:22:35] Speaker B: It doesn't even have the wherewithal to get up at the moment, and it's gonna strike at you twice with its claws.
[00:22:45] Speaker A: No, get away. You're gross.
[00:22:47] Speaker B: With a seven and an eleven.
[00:22:50] Speaker A: They all miss.
[00:22:52] Speaker B: Yeah, I think she's just, like, stomping.
[00:22:54] Speaker A: On its hands every time it tries to attack her.
[00:22:58] Speaker B: Speaking of, it's now your turn, Lou.
[00:23:00] Speaker A: Okay.
She is playing whack a mole with a ghoul, which is somehow encouraging. So she's going to exploit its vulnerability of being on the ground.
[00:23:14] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:23:18] Speaker A: This is going to be esoterica role, I believe, which is only going to be a 16 versus standard DC for its level.
[00:23:32] Speaker B: Yeah. That is success.
[00:23:34] Speaker A: Sweet.
So, I think you said earlier, oh, wait, no. The guest had no weakness.
[00:23:40] Speaker B: The ghouls also have no weakness. So it would be your personal antithesis.
[00:23:44] Speaker A: Um, I think in this case, it's gonna be her boot stomping on its little hands. Um, and she's going to stab it and. And ring a bell loudly in its ear and stomp on it all at the same time, but mechanically, she's just stabbing it.
Um, so that should hit because that's a natural 14 for a total of.
Oh, 20. Dirty 20.
[00:24:16] Speaker B: Dirty 20. Dirty 20 will hit five.
[00:24:19] Speaker A: So it's gonna be seven damage.
[00:24:21] Speaker B: Seven damage. Okay. It's currently still standing.
[00:24:25] Speaker A: I'm not surprised.
[00:24:28] Speaker B: It doesn't look great. You've dealt a significant amount of damage to this thing.
[00:24:33] Speaker A: I still have an action left. I don't think I can hit it, but, like, whatever. It's a flat check to try.
My last flat check went really good.
[00:24:44] Speaker B: So it's. It's. It's. It's ac is rather lowered from it being. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:24:49] Speaker A: Because it's pro. So I have a shot.
Not with that number, I don't.
So I think I just crit failed.
It's gonna be a total of five.
[00:25:04] Speaker B: No, it's not a great fail. It's just a fair.
[00:25:05] Speaker A: Really amazing.
[00:25:06] Speaker B: Okay.
It's a season reduced by quite a bit from being prone.
[00:25:11] Speaker A: That's fortunate for me.
Oh, she's also going to just give grapewing a thumbs up.
But we don't have time to unpack what happened over there.
[00:25:28] Speaker C: You get a little thumbs up back, though. I think you have to look for much further up now.
[00:25:37] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:25:38] Speaker B: Laithe, it is now your turn.
[00:25:41] Speaker D: I am going to continue trying to kick down the door.
[00:25:44] Speaker B: Give me one more athletics check.
[00:25:48] Speaker G: I mean, you have three actions. You can just lock picket, can't you?
[00:25:54] Speaker D: 24.
[00:25:55] Speaker B: 24. Yeah. You're able to sort of shoulder it and force it open.
[00:26:01] Speaker D: Great. So I look out the room, I look out to Nile about to shout to, like, keep running, to get to greywing and the others, and then I will swear, I think, and move back from the door so that I am still a little bit of distance from the ghouls that are surrounding Nile but within striking range, and I will attempt to hit them with my wipe.
[00:26:39] Speaker G: Oh, my God. You're not gonna leave me to die. This is a nice baby doll.
[00:26:43] Speaker D: You don't see what's on the other side of the door.
[00:26:48] Speaker G: I'm so flattered.
[00:26:52] Speaker D: That is a 20. No, wait.
[00:26:56] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:26:56] Speaker D: A 26 to hit.
[00:26:58] Speaker B: 26. That is a critical hit.
[00:27:01] Speaker D: Oh, hell yeah.
[00:27:03] Speaker B: So roll that. Double damage.
[00:27:05] Speaker G: I mean, they're already kind of damaged. I hope this just fucking does it.
[00:27:11] Speaker D: 16 doubled. The 16 is the doubled amount.
[00:27:16] Speaker B: Yeah. How do you take this thing out with a whip?
[00:27:20] Speaker D: Yeah, I think that the room is kind of narrow, but laith sort of whips out and it surrounds its neck and just kind of beheads it a little bit.
[00:27:37] Speaker B: Fax you still have one more action.
[00:27:41] Speaker D: I had to move.
[00:27:42] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, you had to move. So.
Very good. Now give me a fortitude save.
[00:27:48] Speaker G: Yeah, I get no rights this turn. Okay. That's okay. Let's see.
I don't know if it'll succeed or not.
I might want to use a hero point for this because it's kind of important. Actually, I'm gonna use a hero point. I don't think that would succeed.
I'm not confident in it. And honestly, it's kind of important that I get my constitutional rights back. So I wrote the exact same fucking number.
[00:28:21] Speaker C: Good. I'm back in the fucking journey again.
[00:28:26] Speaker B: What's the. What was the total?
[00:28:28] Speaker G: The total of 16?
[00:28:31] Speaker B: Yeah, you're fine.
[00:28:32] Speaker C: Oh, my God.
[00:28:35] Speaker B: Yeah. You slowly start feeling, like, feeling returned to your limbs, but unfortunately, it's the end of your turn.
[00:28:42] Speaker G: That's 14th reason why I swear to fucking rock.
[00:28:45] Speaker B: Bring us to the top of the round with Yuri.
[00:28:50] Speaker E: Wow, that round went much faster.
Okay, first action going to.
Just as quickly as possible, stab your hand a little bit to set this weapon on fire.
I'm gonna use to two handed from one handing. Does that take an action?
[00:29:17] Speaker B: Yes, it is an action to swap your grip.
[00:29:21] Speaker E: I want to take this thing out. So, yeah, I'm going to tighten their grip on this weapon to two handed and going to attack this ghost.
Oh. Let me take the damage I need to take from my thing to set this fire.
Give me a second. I can't use my other cool thing because I am fatigued.
Hooray.
That is dirty 20.
[00:29:56] Speaker B: Dirty 20 hits.
[00:30:00] Speaker E: So that's gonna be seven, plus two, plus 312 damage. For you, that is fire.
[00:30:12] Speaker B: Yeah, you. You land a devastating blow on this thing. But it's still standing.
[00:30:19] Speaker E: Can I overcharge? Could I.
[00:30:21] Speaker B: No. This is not Lancer.
[00:30:26] Speaker E: Okay?
[00:30:26] Speaker C: That's what I've done enough.
[00:30:28] Speaker B: I should come up with a cursed item that lets you do something like that.
[00:30:32] Speaker E: Please. I'll take the curse.
[00:30:35] Speaker A: What's one more?
[00:30:36] Speaker B: Maybe it makes you. Maybe it ups your doom level each time you use it.
[00:30:40] Speaker E: I'll take that. I'll fucking do it. You're watching Aubrey.
[00:30:44] Speaker B: You're doomed. Level doomed is a condition that I think only came up a few times, and so doomed reduces the level you die at. Yeah, it would be dying. Three, you can get all the way up to doomed. Four.
[00:31:01] Speaker C: I know I got that off a couple times. I was able to do my bunch of characters.
[00:31:05] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:31:10] Speaker B: So, yeah, niall, you.
You got a friend, and your friend is.
You're no longer, flat footed to it, but it's still gonna just attack you a bunch.
[00:31:25] Speaker C: Just like a draw strength.
[00:31:28] Speaker B: Mm hmm.
[00:31:29] Speaker G: Where acquaintances are best. 21 that will hit sadly.
[00:31:36] Speaker B: And then I'm gonna need the two fortitude saves again.
[00:31:40] Speaker G: Aubrey, why are you like this?
[00:31:44] Speaker B: And the first one is a disease, so.
[00:31:48] Speaker G: Okay. I love it. It's like, the first one is a disease, so you get that plus one. Yay.
Good for me. All right, let's do some rolls.
[00:31:56] Speaker B: The foundry is just bloodthirsty tonight. I've just been rolling on foundry, and it's very bloodthirsty.
[00:32:02] Speaker G: This one is a 21 for the disease one.
[00:32:05] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:32:07] Speaker G: And the second one is a 26, so I rolled pretty good for both of them, luckily.
[00:32:15] Speaker B: Yeah, you did. And you will take six slashing damage.
[00:32:20] Speaker G: Um, can I, can I be quirky, Aubrey?
[00:32:23] Speaker B: Yes, you can. Use your reaction now. Yay.
[00:32:25] Speaker G: Um, is this one that's already injured or.
[00:32:27] Speaker B: No, uh, it is not.
[00:32:29] Speaker G: Okay. Um, I feel like I'm going to get as much injury as I physically need into this thing. Uh, let me take the damage first. You said six. Yeah.
And, um, as this is going to be a little gross, I'm sorry in advance, and let me check the spell really quickly. Um, this is going to be a little gross, but as it kind of bites down on niall, you watch as this, like, you get to watch this as disgusting, like, purpley black blood ish, ichor starts to flood into this creature's mouth and nose, and I actually need a will save from you.
[00:33:14] Speaker B: There's a 23.
[00:33:16] Speaker G: That is a regular success. So you will take half the persistent bleed damage.
[00:33:21] Speaker B: Mm hmm.
[00:33:23] Speaker G: As, like, these disgusting tendrils, like, enter into, like, the nostril. It's very gross. And lace. You're just watching this, like, you get to watch this lady.
So, yeah, that is my reaction.
[00:33:41] Speaker B: Mm hmm. Did you.
Oh, yeah. It'll just take, does it take the.
[00:33:48] Speaker G: Persistent damage now and at the beginning of.
[00:33:51] Speaker B: No, it'll take it. It'll take it to the beginning of its turn.
[00:33:54] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:33:56] Speaker B: I'll turn that. So, yeah, it's two d six.
[00:34:01] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:34:02] Speaker B: And then now they've.
Yeah, there we go. We got that.
So, yeah, and then it's still got two more actions.
[00:34:21] Speaker G: Really?
[00:34:22] Speaker B: Yes.
It's going to make two claw attacks against you.
So it's a 24 and a 13.
[00:34:33] Speaker G: Um, so I have good news. Oh, wait, no, nevermind. I'm not flat footed anymore. It's just a regular hit. So one of them misses. One of the hits.
[00:34:40] Speaker B: Mm hmm. Give me one more fortitude save.
[00:34:43] Speaker G: I'm going to fucking pee my. Is it a disease? Save.
[00:34:46] Speaker B: No, it's the paralyzed. Save.
[00:34:48] Speaker G: I am going to remove your spine, Aubrey. Bak.
[00:34:57] Speaker C: 24.
[00:34:59] Speaker B: Yeah, they've been so consistent with, um, with hitting, but they've been rolling such low damage.
[00:35:09] Speaker G: Fuck you. How much damage do I take?
[00:35:11] Speaker B: Two.
[00:35:12] Speaker G: Good.
No, I don't have one health. I have 21 to leave my health bar.
[00:35:21] Speaker B: One health, you say no and that'll bring us back to grape wing.
[00:35:31] Speaker C: Gassed in front of me. Not doing great.
[00:35:34] Speaker B: Nope.
[00:35:39] Speaker C: Gonna hit it.
I'm gonna flurry of blows up because I think what will end up happening is I'm gonna go find the others.
Cause I have the movement to get there. Um, well, quote unquote get there. Um, but I can still beat the dog shit out of these ones in here. Um, so, yeah, we'll just. Flurry of blows. This first one.
Dirty 20.
[00:36:13] Speaker B: Dirty 20 hits. Yeah.
[00:36:15] Speaker C: Okay, good.
Eleven damage.
[00:36:19] Speaker B: All right. It's still standing.
[00:36:23] Speaker C: Did I say I was gonna flurry of blows this or should I just do it again?
[00:36:27] Speaker B: Yeah, you said flurry of blouse.
[00:36:28] Speaker C: I did. Okay, my bad. See, I did not think about that properly.
I'm gonna hero point this one.
Uh, it should.
Sorry. So I.
All of my discord messages happened at once on my phone.
[00:36:56] Speaker B: Okay, 1919 will hit.
[00:37:01] Speaker C: Okay. Nope.
Well, eight points of damage.
[00:37:10] Speaker B: Eight is enough to take it out.
[00:37:12] Speaker C: Oh, dope.
Yeah. Okay.
Moth mom grabs the gas with her tail and hulk in the first Avengers movie just bashes this thing back and forth like a little doll before just straight up, like slamming it so hard to the ground that it bounces and falls down dead. Hopefully. Maybe in pieces.
[00:37:52] Speaker B: Yeah, definitely in pieces.
[00:37:54] Speaker C: She's gonna look around. There is one more ghoul in the room with us, however, I think she's gonna look at Yuri and ask, where are the rest of them?
[00:38:06] Speaker E: I can start you tomorrow.
[00:38:08] Speaker C: Can you handle this one?
And now we're going to use my next two actions to basically speed slither.
What do I have?
[00:38:20] Speaker B: That's like 15 slithering along.
[00:38:23] Speaker C: Okay, so first should get me here.
Oh, and I see him.
They're just there. They were there. There.
[00:38:37] Speaker E: They move fast.
[00:38:38] Speaker B: Apparently they have 30ft of movement. Speed.
[00:38:41] Speaker E: Shit.
[00:38:42] Speaker C: They move very fast. 1 second. No, I shouldn't. I already use my two. My two actions, so that would be a bad idea. I'm going to use my last bit of movement to get right behind this one that is furthest from the door, but not by much. Just slides on over there and then stands up real imposing there's one at the door. Just. Just. The shadow looms over Innsmouth here. I'm on a roll with these, like, very specific Cthulhu references, and that's. It's all Sparlocks fault.
You've piqued my other interest.
Cosmic horror. And why I think we should allow them to win.
[00:39:35] Speaker B: That's a lie.
[00:39:37] Speaker A: That's a lie.
[00:39:38] Speaker C: I just don't want to exist in a world. In a Cthulhu world. Nothing good happens to me.
[00:39:43] Speaker B: Nothing could happen to anyone in those worlds.
[00:39:45] Speaker C: It doesn't. But I'm a woman.
Even worse things will happen. Okay? Even bloodborne was like death, pregnancy. Death and pregnancy.
[00:39:55] Speaker E: Oh, that's just Miyazaki. You should see the elden ring bullshit in the DLC.
[00:40:00] Speaker C: Do you hear the elden ring bullshit? I've gotten the lore updates for it and I'm just lit with him.
It's so good.
[00:40:10] Speaker B: So, yeah, it is now, one of the ghouls that's outside, and since Laithe didn't come to it, it is going to Leith, and it jumps at you and tries to sink its fangs into your shoulder for a twelve.
[00:40:33] Speaker D: That's.
[00:40:33] Speaker G: Hmm?
[00:40:36] Speaker D: Nothing. Yeah, that's a miss.
[00:40:39] Speaker B: And it'll follow it up with a claw strike for also a twelve.
You're ready for this thing.
[00:40:47] Speaker D: Yep, also a miss.
[00:40:50] Speaker B: Hey, Alistair, you gotta have a turn now.
Yay.
[00:40:55] Speaker F: I'm thinking about why I can actually do. I gotta check the prone position real quick.
[00:41:01] Speaker B: It's been an action to stand, I think.
Yeah, it's one action to stand and take it.
[00:41:10] Speaker F: Mine is.
[00:41:11] Speaker B: I will, like, allow you, as you stand, to take a step.
[00:41:19] Speaker F: What's my plus three versus plus four?
[00:41:32] Speaker B: I also remember your attacks are affected by you being prone right now.
[00:41:37] Speaker F: Yep, it is a minus two.
Um, you know what I'm gonna do? I'm going to devise a stratagem.
[00:41:54] Speaker B: Bad idea.
[00:41:56] Speaker F: Uh, this school next to me, let's see if I could do anything useful to him. Where's the. Oh, my keyboard's not plugged in. There we go. Target. All right.
That do a thing over there, they.
[00:42:22] Speaker B: Have to hit the. Yeah, the apply effect.
[00:42:27] Speaker F: A ten minus two. So that'd be.
You know what? I'll try to take a swing at him for a 16.
[00:42:38] Speaker B: A 16 will hit.
[00:42:41] Speaker F: Okay, tech potency pro.
Here we go. So we'll punch him for three. Non lethal bludgeoning.
[00:43:03] Speaker B: Yeah, still standing.
No, wait. Nevermind, it's dead because it can't really go unconscious.
[00:43:16] Speaker F: And then. So that's two actions, and then I'm crawl over this way.
[00:43:25] Speaker B: Very fair.
[00:43:27] Speaker F: Or stand up and step, if that's an option.
[00:43:31] Speaker B: Crawling is an option too. If you don't want to step is whatever you want to do for that. But you can get your own little space.
Lou, it is now your turn.
[00:43:43] Speaker A: All right, so we know there's more and there more. Not here.
[00:43:56] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:43:58] Speaker A: I guess I'm going to go find more because I can't do anything else for Alistair. At least not for ten more minutes.
Okay, let me see how far I can go.
Ten and then 85. 10 15.
[00:44:33] Speaker C: That very.
[00:44:33] Speaker A: But close enough. I think I can get there in two. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I think I just have to get.
[00:44:41] Speaker B: Out of the room.
[00:44:42] Speaker A: Let me double check.
[00:44:47] Speaker B: Nope.
[00:44:55] Speaker A: Yes. I just have to get out of the room, basically. So I am going to give Alistair a thumbs up, scoot past Yuri, giving him a quick peck on the cheek, and then I'm gonna run, um, to 25ft. So. 510 15 2025, which should be.
Oh, it's not quite enough. Okay, then I'm gonna use my second action to go a little bit further.
510 15 2025 30. Um, can I see the ghoul in the hallway with Leyland niall?
[00:45:43] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:45:44] Speaker A: Or is that door shut? Okay, the door is open.
[00:45:46] Speaker B: Door is up then.
[00:45:48] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:45:49] Speaker A: Then she's going to draw a card from her harrow deck and just chuck it at that ghoul in the hallway behind lathe.
That's gonna be 19.
[00:46:14] Speaker B: Yeah, that will hit. Roll for damage.
Right.
[00:46:23] Speaker A: Okay. So it's gonna be.
No, I don't know what that was. That left the table. Hold on, hold on. Let me roll a dice. That's still here. Five damage.
[00:46:39] Speaker C: That's it.
[00:46:40] Speaker B: Five damage. Okay.
That is enough to take that thing out. Oh, yeah. Also, every time you pull a card, I roll just to see what card you pull. You want to know what card you pulled?
[00:46:54] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:46:55] Speaker B: The marriage, the lawful neutral card of charisma, represents a union of peoples, ideas or kingdoms that might be as productive or as ruinous as the bonding of, you know.
[00:47:11] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. No, I don't think it's between the ghoul and all of it, because the ghoul is dead. But you know what? It is perfectly landed between two people and we don't have to unpack that right now.
[00:47:22] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, we're a little busy.
[00:47:24] Speaker A: We're a little busy. We're a little busy.
[00:47:27] Speaker B: So, um, yeah, this, uh, this school there is gravewing slayth.
Yeah, that'll turn at you, gravewing.
And, uh, attempt to sink its fangs into your something, whatever part it can get to first. But I don't think a 15 hits you. No, it just can't get through the scales.
[00:47:59] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm real thick.
[00:48:03] Speaker B: Gonna follow up with two claw strikes. One is gonna be a natural one, and the other is gonna be a 23.
[00:48:12] Speaker C: What? The 23 will hit me.
[00:48:14] Speaker B: All right. Can you make a fortitude save for that.
[00:48:20] Speaker C: Natural 20?
[00:48:21] Speaker B: You're fine.
[00:48:24] Speaker C: You try to poison me.
[00:48:26] Speaker B: Four slashing damage.
[00:48:28] Speaker C: Four slashing damage.
Bam.
[00:48:34] Speaker B: The card it pulled is bruised ego.
You can't attack another creature until the target is knocked out or the end of your next turn.
[00:48:45] Speaker C: Oh, boy.
[00:48:47] Speaker B: So it's gonna focus on you.
[00:48:49] Speaker C: Yeah, it's just. It just can't get through the scales.
[00:48:53] Speaker B: Laith, it is now your turn.
[00:48:56] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:48:57] Speaker D: I think that Laith sees greywing slithering across the foyer. And so we'll move and kick the ghoul body out of the way, come up behind Niall, and attack the other one in our little side hallway.
A 23 to hit.
[00:49:22] Speaker B: 23 hits.
[00:49:31] Speaker D: That's three points of damage for that first hit.
I will attack again.
I will use a hero point.
That's a 20.
[00:49:55] Speaker B: A 20 will hit a Nat 20.
[00:49:58] Speaker D: Sorry.
[00:49:58] Speaker B: Oh, a Nat 20.
[00:49:59] Speaker D: Okay, so total would be 25.
[00:50:03] Speaker B: Yeah, that's a. That is a crit.
And your card is.
What does the whip count as it is slashing?
It is. You get a sucking chest wound. The target is fatigued.
[00:50:29] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:50:30] Speaker D: He also takes 14 points of damage.
[00:50:34] Speaker B: Still standing.
Not looking great, though.
[00:50:40] Speaker D: That is my turn.
[00:50:41] Speaker B: Yeah, Niall, it is now your turn.
[00:50:43] Speaker G: Let's execute him if it's not looking great. Honestly, I was gonna use a spell slot. I don't wanna use a spell slot. If it looks like shit. It takes its one point of damage from the thing. Um, I'm gonna just bust a needle. Door. Fuck it. We ball, you know?
Um, so it is heightened what means, which means it does four d. Four damage, not 44. 44.
[00:51:14] Speaker C: If I hit.
[00:51:14] Speaker G: Let's see if I can hit this thing. Uh, what is meant to hit again for spells?
There we go.
That's a 22.
[00:51:28] Speaker B: 22 hits.
[00:51:30] Speaker G: Let me roll some spicy damage.
That is nine points of piercing damage.
[00:51:44] Speaker B: A nine. How do you want to take out the ghoul?
[00:51:47] Speaker G: I think Niall's kind of panicking a little bit as they just kind of raise their hand in front of them to kind of, like, protect them from everything. And the mouth on the hand opens and shoots the darts directly into the creature's face, and he just sighs just like, oh, thank goodness.
[00:52:03] Speaker B: Yeah, there is one ghoul. Left, and we'll be at the start of round four with Yuri.
[00:52:11] Speaker G: Can I use my third action?
[00:52:12] Speaker B: You do have a third action. Go for it. What do you want to do?
[00:52:14] Speaker G: I want to get the fuck out of here, honestly. And I'll just. I'll just step past Leith, uh, politely, um, okay, here. And then notices another ghoul. And she'd be like, do you guys got this?
[00:52:31] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:52:33] Speaker G: Close the door.
[00:52:37] Speaker B: It doesn't close very well because it was shouldered open. Um, but you kind of closely close the door.
[00:52:43] Speaker C: The door is on a slanted.
[00:52:45] Speaker G: And I just look at laith and I'm like, I think they got it.
[00:52:49] Speaker B: Yuri, it's not your turn.
[00:52:53] Speaker E: Beautiful. Um, I'm just. Just confirm because I don't see any. All the ghouls that were in this side are dead.
[00:53:01] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:53:02] Speaker E: Great. So I'm gonna move.
One, two, three.
I would like to move. Um, I'm closing the door. My bad.
[00:53:16] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:53:20] Speaker E: 12345.
Is this a ghoul right here?
[00:53:27] Speaker B: Uh, yes, it is the last ghoul.
[00:53:31] Speaker E: Cool. I have sudden charge.
I would like to use that.
[00:53:35] Speaker B: Yeah, go look for it.
[00:53:38] Speaker E: That is a 21 to hit.
[00:53:41] Speaker B: 21 will hit.
[00:53:47] Speaker E: With this weapon. I rolled two, so that's gonna be 13 damage, three of which is fire.
[00:53:54] Speaker B: All right, 13.
[00:53:55] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:53:56] Speaker B: You deal. A staggering blow to this thing, but it's still standing.
[00:54:01] Speaker E: It's poise broken. Do a critical hit.
It's Elden ring fans will understand that's my turn because those are my actions.
[00:54:16] Speaker B: And that'll bring us to graveling.
[00:54:20] Speaker C: All right, homies, we know the drill.
Flurry of blows and.
[00:54:27] Speaker G: Are you flurrying?
[00:54:29] Speaker C: Hopefully this bitch. Shut up. Hopefully this bitch dies.
Boo.
23.
[00:54:40] Speaker B: 23 hits.
[00:54:45] Speaker C: The way. That was almost an ad. 20 again. 40. Sorry, 1818.
[00:54:50] Speaker B: Both of them hit. Roll for damage.
[00:54:52] Speaker C: Yep, yep.
I rolled Max damage both times. So that'll be a total of 26, right?
[00:55:03] Speaker B: 26. And. Yeah. Now, you, um, how do you take out this final combatant?
[00:55:09] Speaker C: Mm hmm. I see. I see. Yuriyo, do run in charge in. Do a good swing.
It is off balance.
And so grave wayne can kind of take the opportunity to kind of, like, slither around it completely, basically. And she just. You hear this gross crush noise as it is completely constricted and then broken, and then she just, with her tail, flicks it off and it's just like, it rag dolls. The corpse.
It's McDead.
[00:55:50] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:55:51] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:55:55] Speaker B: It is dead for sure.
[00:56:00] Speaker C: And with that kill, I'ma pop out of my dragon stance. And kind of just the best way to put it is curl up on the floor.
So that way my hands are propping.
My hands are on the floor, propping the rest of me up as the tail just kind of slides back in and two legs kind of form back to what it was. So I can go back to my feet and back to being like, 5ft tall.
[00:56:40] Speaker E: I think irido goes from looking up to just, like, looking normally. And it's like, the trick.
[00:56:50] Speaker C: Yeah, don't do it too often. Usually scares the locals.
[00:56:58] Speaker E: I understand.
[00:57:01] Speaker G: I'm just gonna open the door and be like, we good?
[00:57:05] Speaker C: Very good.
[00:57:08] Speaker G: A lot taller for like 5 seconds there.
So gravely. That was pretty cool.
[00:57:17] Speaker C: Uh, yeah. You.
What? You. You've seen. You've seen anaga before, or. No, you just.
[00:57:29] Speaker G: I've seen a lot of, um, atypical things. I mean, I gesture at myself, like, there's a lot of interesting things out there. And you're a pretty cool person. I just haven't seen something like that before. It's pretty cool.
You kicked butt really well.
[00:57:44] Speaker C: Well, that's if we're being realistic. That's the form I prefer.
Oh, except it's really fucking cold.
[00:57:54] Speaker G: Ah, yeah.
[00:57:56] Speaker E: Yeah, that makes sense.
Well, I think that's everything dead on this floor.
[00:58:03] Speaker B: Oh.
[00:58:04] Speaker A: Um. Does anyone have, like, a head pushing or something I just thought was very hurt?
[00:58:12] Speaker G: I don't anymore, sadly.
[00:58:16] Speaker C: Yeah. Actually, I think we have three left.
So far. Our notes are only mentioning one use of the potion. Yeah, so we have three left. So Alistair can straight up just drink one if.
[00:58:27] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:58:31] Speaker G: Okay, that works.
[00:58:36] Speaker A: I can't find it right now. Who has them? But whoever has it, go. Go forth and deliver.
Did Laithe come out of the hallway?
[00:58:47] Speaker D: Yeah, Laith will come out as well.
[00:58:50] Speaker A: Does Leipzig with her card on the ground just before it flies back to lose hand. I'm just curious. It doesn't mean anything.
[00:58:55] Speaker C: I'm just interested.
[00:58:57] Speaker G: What if I looked at the marriage card on the floor? How'd you can last?
[00:59:02] Speaker A: It's for you. I'm proposing.
[00:59:05] Speaker G: Hmm.
[00:59:08] Speaker A: You wanted besties? No.
[00:59:13] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:59:13] Speaker D: I think that she sees something fly back to lose hand, but doesn't quite catch that it's marriage.
[00:59:21] Speaker A: I think Lou does. And then shuffles. That gives that duck a hard shuffle.
The hard shuffle.
[00:59:33] Speaker D: Now that the group is convenient, lathe will ask, what was that crash that drew them all together?
[00:59:43] Speaker A: Ugh. Did we even get the door open?
[00:59:45] Speaker C: No, it's only partially open.
[00:59:47] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[00:59:50] Speaker C: I can go back and do the rest.
[00:59:52] Speaker A: But if we do, are the upstairs ghouls going to come downstairs? Or do we think they already did?
[01:00:00] Speaker C: I.
[01:00:02] Speaker E: There was a lot of noise. I shot my gun, but it's true.
[01:00:06] Speaker C: So where the problem is. Yeah. If they didn't already come down. I think opening the door won't do it. And that's what the crash was.
Found a pretty high quality lock on a door in the library.
[01:00:23] Speaker A: It will be disappointing if there is nothing actually interesting behind it. Watch it. Be a shower.
[01:00:31] Speaker E: Oh, you'll be excited.
[01:00:34] Speaker A: I would be able for all of this.
[01:00:39] Speaker E: I'm joking.
Let's go check it out.
If not, we should find around Alistair.
[01:00:48] Speaker A: Are you okay?
[01:00:50] Speaker F: Did you get the number of that stage coach that hit me?
[01:00:57] Speaker C: Yeah, we got his number right?
[01:01:00] Speaker A: He has gone from this ass.
[01:01:03] Speaker F: Yeah. Alistair walks in drinking a potion, uh, to heal for 14. By the way, I don't know if y'all heard me, but Alistair has had all the potions because no one believed him that they should be taken.
Um, at least we finally got all of them though.
[01:01:30] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:01:30] Speaker F: Let's, uh, let's see what's in that door. I bet it's good stuff.
[01:01:37] Speaker C: Well, like I said, you don't put. You don't put that kind of lock on something that isn't important. At the very least, it's gonna mean something to someone.
I'm gonna go finish opening that door.
[01:01:56] Speaker A: Yeah? Yeah. I wanna see what's in there.
[01:01:58] Speaker C: Yeah. No, I. I really want to know. Athletics, right?
[01:02:02] Speaker B: Yeah. Give me one more athletic check.
[01:02:05] Speaker A: Oh, that's the contents.
[01:02:07] Speaker C: I'm gonna use my other hero point on this one. I've been stacking them up.
[01:02:16] Speaker E: Hopefully they're down. If they're stairs down.
[01:02:18] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:02:18] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:02:18] Speaker A: If they're upstairs, then yes, it's overdeveloped.
[01:02:25] Speaker C: Nat 20.
[01:02:27] Speaker E: Whoa.
[01:02:30] Speaker A: Dang.
[01:02:31] Speaker B: How do you get this open?
[01:02:36] Speaker C: Well, great looks at the rest of y'all. Just like you already saw it. Just really quickly pops back her tail.
And the.
Her tail is very thick.
And I think it's implied that when she's in her humanoid form, a lot of her strength is held back because of the lack of everything. The muscles are smaller.
She herself is shorter. There's a lot of things being held back, though. She is a lot more nimble and she's faster and she's more agile. All of the strength actually comes from being in this snake form. And the door just gets, like, crushed.
It's loud, of course, but it's just with the tail, it's just like I turn the door into a box.
[01:03:43] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:03:44] Speaker G: I was taking notes about this, by the way.
There's a little cookbook. And now it's just looking at you and, like, taking notes in his little.
[01:03:50] Speaker D: Notebook to cook her as snake.
[01:03:55] Speaker G: No, no.
[01:03:58] Speaker C: I'm gonna let you know right now if I lose a part of the tale that does show up when I have my human form.
[01:04:08] Speaker G: Oh, that's interesting.
[01:04:10] Speaker B: Yeah, you can open the door now. Yay.
[01:04:15] Speaker C: I'm gonna click it. Click.
[01:04:17] Speaker G: I will not. I'll open the door.
Oh, my God.
[01:04:22] Speaker B: We can always.
Downstairs.
[01:04:27] Speaker E: It is downstairs. Let's go.
[01:04:29] Speaker C: Wait, wait. Do we need to heal up?
Do we need more healing?
Look at the stairs. We silently cheer and we go back outside. Like, all right, we gotta heal.
[01:04:40] Speaker A: Did we also want to quickly check the rest of the side of the floor? Because we did not. We got to the library and that is as far as we got on this side.
[01:04:48] Speaker C: The ghouls came from our gas. Sorry, came from. From further up. So we can go down that hallway now that it's basically clear.
[01:04:55] Speaker A: Yeah, since we. Don't worry.
[01:04:56] Speaker C: We've got mysterious staircase that seems very important.
[01:05:00] Speaker A: Just like in case, I don't know, there's healing potions hidden in like a.
[01:05:05] Speaker C: Doorway or healing potions secrets, you know, all that good shit.
[01:05:10] Speaker A: Something to help us.
[01:05:11] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm gonna go.
[01:05:12] Speaker G: I am a little injured. If someone wants to give me a little bit of a battle medicine.
[01:05:17] Speaker E: I'm very injured, but that's okay.
[01:05:20] Speaker B: Oh, I don't care.
[01:05:22] Speaker F: Take some time, Yuri.
[01:05:25] Speaker A: I will heal you.
[01:05:26] Speaker E: I don't think we should be here longer than we need to be one. We're already for fatigued to like the long.
[01:05:33] Speaker C: Yeah, we're only gonna get more.
Yeah, we will only get more fatigued. But we should still look at the rest of the room since they are relative to our knowledge, they're cleared. Yeah, again, we made so much fucking a gun went off a couple times.
[01:05:49] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:05:50] Speaker C: If they're not here now, I doubt that they are. There's any left.
[01:05:55] Speaker B: Yeah, uh, they're directly above you. Find what used to be a very nice sitting room. There's a little too much gore in it right now to consider it. Nice.
It looks like the ghouls probably took some meals in here.
[01:06:10] Speaker A: Oh, gruddy.
[01:06:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
The ghouls have resorted to cannibalism to survive.
They're all eating each other.
[01:06:28] Speaker G: Oh, that's inefficient.
[01:06:30] Speaker A: Happy pride, this door over here is locked.
[01:06:35] Speaker B: You can see their windows. It's sort of like a small little fire pit and seating area.
[01:06:43] Speaker A: Cute.
[01:06:46] Speaker C: Okay, that's a. I was like, what the fuck?
[01:06:49] Speaker E: I checked these rooms. In this bottom hallway dining table.
[01:06:54] Speaker B: It's like a small little sitting room for possibly a guest or something.
[01:07:02] Speaker C: Does this hallway loop back around? There was another door in the area where Yuri is. Yeah. Okay, good to know.
[01:07:13] Speaker A: Is there time to treat wounds on at least Yuri, if not also niall, if two of us.
[01:07:19] Speaker B: Depends on how much, how much you, how much time you want to spend.
[01:07:22] Speaker E: If you have what I'm immune for an hour to treat wounds.
[01:07:28] Speaker A: Oh, you've already been treated.
[01:07:30] Speaker C: Then you better.
Then you better drink a potion.
[01:07:33] Speaker F: Where are you given battle medicine not treat wounds or.
[01:07:37] Speaker E: No, it was before to fight. It was treatments.
[01:07:39] Speaker B: Treatment.
[01:07:40] Speaker A: Oh, what about Nile?
[01:07:41] Speaker G: I have not been healed at all through battle medicine or treat wounds. I can still be treated like that. So that's why I'm like, yeah, then.
[01:07:47] Speaker A: If like, while everyone else is making, seeing what's in the other rooms, I can stop and treat you or someone else. I don't care.
[01:07:54] Speaker F: Here, you're at a. Take a potion.
[01:07:57] Speaker E: Oh, thanks. I was about to ask.
Oh, I'm lifting. My arm hurts.
[01:08:02] Speaker G: It's okay.
[01:08:06] Speaker B: 14 healing.
[01:08:07] Speaker F: Just click the. Apply healing.
[01:08:12] Speaker G: Drink that vodka down the hatch. Glug, glug, glug.
[01:08:14] Speaker A: I actually rolled really good for medicine. Check for the first time ever. So that's gonna be 18 plus six is 24, I think.
[01:08:28] Speaker B: Yeah, that's a success.
That's two d. Eight.
[01:08:33] Speaker G: Okay, Ellen, what's putting a little band aid on the wounds that are also, like.
It's kind of gross because there's like, this, like, slightly icky, like black and purple, shimmery ichor. That's definitely blood, but also not quite. And I'll just like, don't worry about it.
[01:08:52] Speaker A: So that's nine healing. And while she does it, there's like a moment where she just kind of, like, stares at the blood, but it is not with any sense of grossness. It's debating the politeness of a question.
[01:09:09] Speaker G: You can ask. I might not answer.
[01:09:11] Speaker A: Um, would it be, can I have some of your blood?
[01:09:17] Speaker G: No.
[01:09:18] Speaker A: Okay, then we will just put that back where it came from.
[01:09:30] Speaker C: Just shoving it back.
[01:09:31] Speaker G: I think it would be funny if, like, a little bit of schism there. She, like, actually physically managed to shove it back in. And just like, I like, back inside.
[01:09:40] Speaker A: Back inside. No, you don't need to come out right now.
[01:09:43] Speaker B: My tongue comes out and starts lapping up the blood.
[01:09:47] Speaker A: Oh, I see how it is.
[01:09:48] Speaker B: No.
[01:09:49] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. I do want to grab a little bit of ghoul blood, though, just in a.
[01:09:54] Speaker B: There's plenty of it.
There's plenty of them. Yeah.
[01:09:58] Speaker G: Oh, can I bug lathe really quickly?
[01:10:01] Speaker B: I want to first go through researching the rest of the floor.
[01:10:06] Speaker G: Oh, yes.
[01:10:07] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:10:07] Speaker C: Yes, yes.
[01:10:09] Speaker B: So, yeah, above there is the sitting room. There is like, a small other, you know, other sitting room with a, you know, private sitting room. And then directly across there are. There is another door.
[01:10:30] Speaker A: Go for it.
[01:10:31] Speaker B: And this. This will lead you into what, in better times was a kitchen.
It has been absolutely trashed by these ghouls.
[01:10:49] Speaker C: There's, like, two doors at the far left hand corner. I'm just gonna open them.
[01:10:56] Speaker B: Mm hmm.
That one will lead up to the dining room upstairs, and the other one will lead down to, like, a wine cellar.
[01:11:12] Speaker C: Okay. Maybe we come back to the wine cellar later.
I feel like everybody here would be like, oh, drinking time was this last store.
[01:11:26] Speaker B: Appears to be. Was at some point a pantry.
[01:11:28] Speaker C: Oh.
So is there, like, any non perishables, perhaps?
[01:11:35] Speaker B: If you want to see if you can find anything, give me. Give me a perception check.
[01:11:40] Speaker C: Yeah. It's still a survival horror game, so we might.
21, y'all.
I watched this dice dangle between very low rolls. I was like, is this it? Am I cooked?
[01:11:58] Speaker B: No.
[01:11:59] Speaker C: 21.
[01:11:59] Speaker B: 21. So you are looking through trying to find something like, this pantry has been picked over. There's not much here. A lot of empty jars and stuff. And in the back, you actually push some stuff aside and find what appears to be two lesser healing potions.
[01:12:24] Speaker C: Oh, I'm gonna grab them.
And, like, is anybody in the kitchen? Did anybody follow gravewing into the kitchen?
[01:12:37] Speaker G: I can. Cause graveling saved my ass. And honestly, I'm kind of scared. I just haven't been moving my token anywhere. Mm hmm.
[01:12:44] Speaker C: I'm gonna come out dangling both potions.
You cannot see my face, but the emote. The emote is victory.
[01:12:56] Speaker G: I'm trying to find the kitchen. Hold on.
[01:12:59] Speaker C: Go all the way up and then around.
[01:13:03] Speaker B: Uh, yes. Two lesser.
[01:13:07] Speaker G: Yes.
[01:13:09] Speaker B: As I said, everything here is absolutely destroyed. All of the pots and pans and knives have been absolutely just tarnished and destroyed.
[01:13:17] Speaker G: Aw, what a waste of good cookware.
It does look like two good healing potions. Nice.
[01:13:31] Speaker C: Mm hmm. It's great. We just used up two. We've got, like, what, three now?
[01:13:37] Speaker G: Mm hmm.
[01:13:40] Speaker C: Was the pre. Were our previous potions also lesser healing? Yeah.
[01:13:45] Speaker B: Yes, I think so.
[01:13:46] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:13:47] Speaker G: I can make them, but they don't last very long.
[01:13:52] Speaker B: You can only make minor ones right now.
[01:13:54] Speaker G: Yeah. Oh, minor.
[01:13:56] Speaker B: My bad. Yeah, minor. Minor is the lowest level, and the lesser is step up.
[01:14:01] Speaker G: Okay. I can only make minor, which is lesser than lesser, which I didn't actually think the statement. What is this ranking system? You go, minor, lesser, not as good. Sort of. Okay, good, greater, even greater. The best. Epic.
[01:14:19] Speaker C: Well, I think any potion making is valuable right now, considering none of us are. Um, we can. We can treat our wounds. That. And that's great and all, but there's no. There's not a lot of magical healing. And, um.
Wait a minute. Did that pink one pull out her intestine? No, you only said that you were thinking about doing. You didn't actually fucking do it, right. Okay, good. That's so great, because if you did that in front of great wing, she'd have questions.
[01:14:53] Speaker A: I would have. No, she didn't.
[01:14:55] Speaker B: So no questions.
[01:14:56] Speaker C: Yeah, no questions. Never mind, never mind, never mind. Zip that all the way back.
[01:15:00] Speaker A: She just played whack a mole with a ghoul's hand.
[01:15:04] Speaker C: We zip all the way back. None of us can magically heal. And when your guts are on the floor, you might prefer something faster than bandages.
[01:15:17] Speaker G: I mean, hey, like that. It takes guts.
[01:15:23] Speaker C: All right, you got that one. You get it? I'm tired.
[01:15:27] Speaker G: You get that one.
[01:15:30] Speaker B: All right. Was there anything else you wanted to do on this floor?
[01:15:34] Speaker C: Do we still have to explore the other side here, or was that explored by Lathan?
[01:15:39] Speaker B: That was explored by lathe. It just appears to be, like, servants quarters and stuff.
[01:15:44] Speaker C: Okay, yeah, that's that. I remember you guys were talking about it, but I couldn't see it, so I wasn't sure.
[01:15:49] Speaker G: Grave wing.
[01:15:50] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:15:52] Speaker G: So if we're chasing after this alchemist, there's a chance that we restore the ghoul fear, reduce or remove the goal fever from everyone, right?
Yeah.
If we do that and this town is saved, won't we just not have somewhere to hide anymore? Because the only reason we're able to hide here is because of the ghoul infestation in the first place. Where do we go from here?
[01:16:15] Speaker C: Well, the idea is that we're trying to get out of this district.
[01:16:22] Speaker G: Do you know where we'd be going?
[01:16:24] Speaker C: Well, you and I can go back to the bazaar.
I have no idea about our noble friends, but I'm going to assume because they're in prison, they can't exactly walk back home either. So it looks like we're going to have to be extra hospitable.
[01:16:44] Speaker G: I'm just going to leave my life in your hands. At this point, I don't know where else to put it. And you're seeming most capable.
[01:16:50] Speaker C: Look, I've been hiding in plain sight for my entire life, so I think we'll be fine.
Even though two of them are primary colors and.
But that's not so bad, actually. You know, that is pretty normal and bizarre.
And then the.
Actually, you and Laithe, in my opinion, would have be the hardest to hide.
[01:17:31] Speaker G: I mean, I've been pretty undercover for a while. You could just bandage everything up and I look pretty normal.
[01:17:37] Speaker C: The rat claimed you do cannibalism, and I'm not one to judge, but how did he figure that out?
[01:17:46] Speaker G: There's a lot of rumors that go around sometimes.
[01:17:49] Speaker C: So are there rumors of someone of your exact description, which means bandaged up or not walking around full active cannibalism? Do you see where I'm getting at?
[01:18:02] Speaker G: Personally, I think it's because I have a lot of mouths. People like to spin rumors that are over exaggerated.
[01:18:09] Speaker B: It's not normal to have that many mouths.
I don't.
[01:18:14] Speaker C: I've met one or two flesh warps.
They had, um. They had like two mouths, Max.
I think I saw seven on you.
[01:18:27] Speaker G: Wait, hold on, let me count. Um.
[01:18:29] Speaker C: Oh, my God. You count in front of me.
[01:18:33] Speaker G: Including the regular mouth, or no?
[01:18:35] Speaker C: Yes, including the regular mouth, including.
[01:18:38] Speaker G: Okay, so there's, um. I think there's one regular mouth. I point to the one on my face. Two. One on my throat. Three. There's two on each my shoulders. So 4567. And then there's one on my stomach. And I pull it up to show this massive fucking mouth. It's like. So it's eight.
[01:18:57] Speaker C: I didn't know about the one there.
[01:19:01] Speaker G: Oh, now you do.
[01:19:05] Speaker C: So as you can see, um.
Great wings. Just gonna keep gesturing at you.
[01:19:21] Speaker B: And just in the back of your mind, niall, you hear your schism. Go. He has a point.
[01:19:30] Speaker C: Look, it's fine. We could. We can. We can hide it, but it's the fact that you are an identifiable cannibal, that would be a problem for you. Do you understand?
[01:19:46] Speaker G: You guys like to insist that I'm a cannibal, like, a lot.
[01:19:50] Speaker C: That's what the rumors are.
I'm following the rumors, which is the exact ex.
[01:20:02] Speaker G: You know what? I'm gonna. Is it just us two here right now?
Is it just mothwoman I on our own?
[01:20:12] Speaker E: I think so.
[01:20:13] Speaker G: Okay, I'm moving alouette the fuck away. Alouette, please leave.
[01:20:19] Speaker C: There you go. Perfect.
[01:20:21] Speaker G: Get the fuck out. I'm going to put a hit on your shoulder and look you dead in the eyes. Like, do you want a hundred percent to know if I am a cannibal, yes or no, with no judgment to the statement, yes, I eat people, and it is a dietary restriction that I cannot get around. It is not a fun hobby, and I've also never put it into people's cooking. That would be incredibly unethical and just a violation of human rights as a whole. And I get really mad when people say that I would never.
[01:20:56] Speaker E: That's being cannibal.
[01:20:58] Speaker G: But, yes, I eat people.
[01:21:04] Speaker C: One, that sucks. Two. Thank God.
Three.
Just no one in the group?
[01:21:15] Speaker G: Oh, heavens no.
[01:21:19] Speaker C: Yeah. And if we were to add more people to the group, none of them.
[01:21:25] Speaker G: I mean, if I had to pick, Alistair would be going first, but he.
[01:21:29] Speaker C: Eats that young man alone.
[01:21:32] Speaker G: It's a joke. It's a joke. I wouldn't have. But it is, unfortunately, a dietary restriction and not a choice that I have made of my own volition.
[01:21:41] Speaker C: Yeah, that's very rough.
[01:21:46] Speaker G: I also don't like it when people say that I'm a cannibal simply because of the fact that there's a lot of preconceived notions that it is entirely my choice and I'm a freak.
I might be a little bit weird, but it's not a hobby.
[01:22:03] Speaker B: Like, it's more of just that you're a cannibal?
[01:22:07] Speaker C: Yeah. That you would still, by definition, be a cannibal.
I understand there are things that come with the title of cannibalization, but you would. You would still be a cannibal.
Yeah. You're just also a victim of circumstance, I guess.
[01:22:33] Speaker G: If it helps, I try not to kill innocent people to eat.
The worst I did was that one tax collector that was overcharging that old lady down the street.
[01:22:42] Speaker C: It's a fucking tax collector. No one's gonna miss him.
[01:22:45] Speaker G: Yeah. I think that old lady's better off.
Oh, sorry. But, yeah, keep that secret to your groove, please.
Have so much of a secret.
[01:22:59] Speaker B: Is there anything anyone else wants to do?
[01:23:03] Speaker E: Um, I wanted to just have a quick moment. Eurudo is kind of staying near. They. They've taken off, like, ripping off flesh. Not flesh, sorry, clothes. Cloth from one of these ghouls that has not been soiled by their flesh.
Sorry, cannibal talk. You know, I got to the head, so. And cleaning their weapon and just. I imagine laithe is nearby. Just. And while Lou is just, like, searching for stuff, they're just gonna take a beat, look at lathe, and it's, like, doing. Okay.
[01:23:44] Speaker D: Oh, just Fiji. This was less dramatic, I think, than my last venture into a nobles manor so.
[01:23:57] Speaker B: Good.
[01:24:01] Speaker D: How about you? Any, uh.
How about you? Any cravings? New cravings?
[01:24:11] Speaker E: Cravings?
[01:24:14] Speaker D: Blood, flesh, whatever it is that ghouls actually want. You've gotten hit quite a bit in here. You know, that's how it transfers.
[01:24:25] Speaker E: No, just, uh.
They're gonna kind of, like, wrest their weapon, like, into the ground. Um, just really tired.
[01:24:38] Speaker D: Aubrey, is there a, like, way to check for ghoul fever without doing, like, blood tests or something like that?
[01:24:49] Speaker B: If you want to check some of the bites to see if they look infected.
Okay, so you check my bites, too.
[01:24:57] Speaker F: While you're at it.
[01:25:00] Speaker D: Yuri puts their weapon down and laith just slithers into his personal space and says, oh, well, then you won't mind if I do this, and sort of starts checking the bites.
Yikes, that is a 13.
[01:25:20] Speaker B: They look fine. They don't look infected or anything.
So, yeah, you're the. I'm pretty sure that Yuri's fine.
[01:25:29] Speaker E: Imagine this is, like, the Edna modes, like. Like thing from the incredibles where you're just, like, chin up looking for some.
Okay, fine.
[01:25:42] Speaker D: Yeah. I mean, if Alistar's in the same room, I will also check Alistar.
That one's better. That is in 24.
[01:25:53] Speaker B: A 24?
Yeah. Unfortunate. I think that last bite that Alistair took, that one does not look good.
So, yeah, Alistair, you've got ghoul fever.
[01:26:21] Speaker F: I give you that apocalypse look where someone's been bit in, but they're kind of hiding it.
[01:26:32] Speaker D: Laithe takes a big step back.
Bet says, do we know how long it takes to sort of set in a.
[01:26:44] Speaker B: It takes several days.
[01:26:47] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:26:49] Speaker B: It can be several weeks before somebody fully succumbs. There are chances that people get better. It is not like you are infected. It's not like a zombie virus in a zombie movie. People can get better. This strain is just extremely virulent and transmits very easily.
So there's a chance that, mechanically, Alister is going to be making 42 checks every day. And if they succeed, the level goes down. If they fail, the level goes up.
But, yeah, and you do have the antiplake, which will give you a bonus to any of those checks you make.
[01:27:32] Speaker D: Okay, so we have antiplate which will help.
[01:27:39] Speaker B: Anybody with medicine can also treat disease.
[01:27:42] Speaker D: Oh, cool. And this. I mean, this alchemist has been experimenting on ghouls, on the plague itself. So maybe there's an antidote in the basement.
You could be our test subject.
[01:28:01] Speaker F: Maybe they could turn me into a good ghoul.
[01:28:07] Speaker C: Oh, there's something real fucked up about the rat character getting this. And then being the test subject, there's something really fucked up.
[01:28:19] Speaker A: Isn't that how rat folk came to be?
[01:28:22] Speaker E: Yuri is gonna look at Alistar and just like, well, if you get gravy, try not to bite me. You may not like dealing with my. The consequences that.
[01:28:40] Speaker F: Look at the bodies and like, the gore.
Yeah.
[01:28:48] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[01:28:49] Speaker E: You just may have a bad reaction to specifically, Mike, but I know that's been being ominous. I'm not telling you more.
[01:29:06] Speaker F: So you don't mean your weapons?
[01:29:11] Speaker E: Where is everyone else?
[01:29:14] Speaker B: I imagine there's around this time where everybody reconvenes, having cleared, and gravewing comes back with the couple extra potions.
And now there's just.
[01:29:25] Speaker A: Just real quick, since Lou has specifically been mentioned not being with anybody else, just while she's alone somewhere, she's going to make sure there is no one else. And then she's just going to push up her sleeves and pluck out several red feathers from her skin.
[01:29:51] Speaker E: Okay.
[01:29:53] Speaker A: That's all.
[01:29:55] Speaker B: Sounds good.
Yeah. You are faced with the staircase down. It's not really any lights.
Sort of just goes down into darkness.
[01:30:19] Speaker C: Thank God. Most of us have dark vision or the goggles.
[01:30:22] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:30:23] Speaker G: Okay. I put on my sweet little goggles. I'm like, all right, let's go.
[01:30:27] Speaker B: Yeah.
So you head down and it's a bit of a. Bit of a travel. It's a couple of minutes that sort of. You find it's going down and it gets colder and you can kind of start seeing the moisture on the walls especially. It's rainy season in Malachod stone.
And eventually you come to a long hallway with a door.
[01:31:09] Speaker A: From the door.
[01:31:11] Speaker G: I'm not opening it.
[01:31:15] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:31:15] Speaker D: Is it locked?
[01:31:18] Speaker B: It doesn't appear to be.
[01:31:19] Speaker A: Is there movement on the other side?
[01:31:21] Speaker G: Is it a mimic?
[01:31:23] Speaker E: Is there a foggy.
[01:31:24] Speaker B: No, there is light coming from the other side of the door.
[01:31:29] Speaker E: Ooh.
Okay, I think your dogs are getting closer. Like, everyone be ready.
[01:31:41] Speaker B: And it's like kind of the style of like two doors. You know, you could sort of push them open.
[01:31:48] Speaker C: There's no way to push open two doors quietly unless you push just one of them. Yeah, no, we. When we're style, everybody take a moment to ready anything they need to. And then this thing is getting. This thing's getting pushed over. Pushed over? Pushed open real nice. I volunteered to push it, so I don't mind being in the front for it.
[01:32:12] Speaker G: Okay.
[01:32:14] Speaker B: Yeah, you do. You push these doors open and it opens into this massive chamber. The first thing you all notice are the tables covered in specimens. There's several large tanks filled with things floating in brackish looking liquid.
A green light suffuses this entire room, and standing in the center is a man in a long, dark coat. Hanging off of it are these strange looking devices, these potions and bombs.
You can kind of see the bits of his purple skin that poke out from the gloves.
You can't see his face because he's wearing what, for all intents and purposes, looks like a gas mask.
Very much looks like a world war one gas mask, if you've ever seen those.
And every time he breathes, you hear the clicking sound.
You see that he has the ram horns. One of them is broken, and he has long, stringy dark hair.
And he looks at all of you and says, I knew that Akos would betray me eventually.
And that's where we're going to end this episode, as the gang finds themselves standing in front of the dread doctor.
Who said that?
[01:34:08] Speaker G: Who said that? That's crazy.
[01:34:09] Speaker C: Boss fight. Boss fight.
[01:34:11] Speaker B: Boss fight. There was a phone case next week.
[01:34:15] Speaker C: It is next week. Yes, but, boss, next week in both Faris.
[01:34:19] Speaker G: I gonna be. I'm gonna be gone next week. Fuck.
[01:34:22] Speaker A: I'll be there. I just might be late.
[01:34:24] Speaker G: Yeah, I'm sure I'm not gonna be there because I have stuff. Whoops. Anyways, can't take us. Yes, well, thank you, everyone, for listening to another wonderful episode of goblets and gays. If you like what we do here, feel free to follow us on Twitter and gaze Instagram.
