[00:00:43] Speaker A: Wake me up from this sleep dreaming doctor long I cannot find meaning hold my hand let me stare by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me these demon tell me in this red light it calls me he is reaching out, consuming. [00:01:29] Speaker B: Hello, everybody, and welcome back to Tyrant of the dark star. I'm Aubrey. Here's Yem. I'll tell my players, introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing, and then I think we have a fight to get to. [00:01:42] Speaker C: Hi, my name's Aki. Pronouns are she, her, and I am playing gravewing, who is our monk, Kinesis. That's it? That's all you get to know about her? Well, also uses she her pronouns. [00:01:59] Speaker D: Hi, y'all, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play laith, idrisi, our dampier, dandy, and rogue, who uses she any pronouns. [00:02:11] Speaker E: It's me. Hello, I'm dusty. I use they he pronouns, and I'm playing eurydo, just eurydo for now. They also use they he pronouns, and they are going to be our blood hunter. [00:02:26] Speaker A: Hello, I am ferx. I'm ushe her pronouns. [00:02:29] Speaker C: And I am playing Alouette, Valer, the. [00:02:32] Speaker A: Nephilim, I think is what they're called now, thaumaturge, who also uses she her pronouns. [00:02:41] Speaker F: Hello, I am Sparlock. I use he him pronouns. I am playing Alistair Whiskerfield, the renowned wizard and investigator who uses he him pronouns also. [00:02:56] Speaker B: Well, one last thing before this fight, we have another question. This one posed by Alyssa in our head cannons chat was, where does your character feel most at home? And of course, because Alyssa asked this question, I will make them answer first. [00:03:21] Speaker D: Yeah. The answer that I wrote for Laith is nowhere. She does not feel at home in her body. So how would she feel at home in any sort of place? And I will pass it to Ferris. [00:03:34] Speaker A: Fine. I think I said, oh, Lou is. Lou's at home in her home, the ancestral Velaire house that she has lived in all of her life and spent 98% of her time in. Because obviously, what else would be home except for the only place you've ever been normal? Oh, Dustin. Sorry, it's a Dustin thing. I panicked. [00:04:10] Speaker E: How is this? Okay, okay, I understand. [00:04:14] Speaker C: No, no. Gee, look, the current passes, okay? Because you're dropping my fucking government names like two episodes, okay? [00:04:22] Speaker A: As if people can't guess that one anyway. But yes, sorry, Dusty. [00:04:26] Speaker E: Um, so I think Yuri. Yuri doe doesn't really feel comfort. Just. They don't feel comfort. So I feeling. Feeling comfortable somewhere I don't think is the thing. Um, not to riff off Alyssa's answer, but they also maybe don't feel comfortable in the skin, but I'm assuming for a very different reason. Allegedly. Allegedly. [00:04:57] Speaker B: Allegedly. [00:05:00] Speaker E: Aquino. [00:05:04] Speaker C: One, I accidentally bit my bun into the shape of a butterfly. The rest of you can see it, but it is very butterfly shaped. Unintentional? Entirely. Two moth. Mom feels at home. At her home, specifically. Home is where her family is. So unlike these sad motherfuckers. My home life's great. I got issues, but I don't bring them home. That's a lie. I bring them home. It's just everybody knows how to handle them because we communicate, unlike the three people that just spoke. Um, because there's something weird going on. Um, that should also maybe, uh, be brought to light eventually. You could do a pirates of the caribbean thing and just do it mid fight. Um, you know, like, not like, fuck it. What's her name? [00:06:07] Speaker B: Elizabeth Swan. And Will. [00:06:09] Speaker C: Yes. Yes. I wanted to say Emma Swan. That's the wrong blonde bitch. Wrong blonde bitch. That was in the pirates. Somebody take this. Who did fucking go yet? [00:06:26] Speaker F: Me. Yeah. So, Alastair, I was going to go, like, at home with a book, but I don't think that's quite the right, like, feel. So I'm thinking less at home with the book and more at the bar trivia night with the book. [00:06:55] Speaker D: Does he participate in the bar trivia or he's just listening, reading his book? [00:07:00] Speaker F: No, no. Participating in the bar trivia. And, like, half of the answers are wrong, but in a way that they're kind of right. [00:07:14] Speaker C: What's true? Plus two, the government's corrupt. We know this, Alastair. You're not wrong. But that's not what we were asking. [00:07:23] Speaker E: It's not the answer this time. Point for participation. [00:07:30] Speaker B: Okay, wherever. Who would like to take the reins of telling. Telling everybody what happened last time? [00:07:39] Speaker A: I gotcha. I gotcha. Last time. We had combat. No, wait. Yeah, we had combat, which is alarming because we're about to do the same thing. We had a battle of ghosts. Nope. Ghouls and ghasts. The other ghost ghasts, which are worse than ghosts. Maybe it was bad. We survived, though. We didn't die. If you want details, that's what the episode is for. Importantly, though, we learned a new fun fact about lore. Again, you want to find out what it is? That's what the episode's for. But it was cool lore. It's, like, the coolest lore. And you're gonna be sad you missed it. So, like, go way back. I guess nobody died. Alister almost died, but she didn't. And then we finally had some conversations. Niall admitted to being a cannibal. That's not a spoiler. You all know this. And Yuri and Laythe were interesting. Also, Alistair probably has cool fever. And we're not gonna ask about Yuri, who was totally okay. And we're certain that role meant that he's fine. Anyway, we all went downstairs. Things were fine and normal until we opened the doors. And things were not fine or normal. There's a lot of baddies in here. There's a guy in here. I think I have the other half of his horns. He's gonna kill us. He's mad at us. We're fine. That's what happened last time. [00:09:11] Speaker B: Yes, and we're gonna get right into this because I made my players roll initiative before we started. And yes, everything will start off with the dread doctor himself. Talus. [00:09:28] Speaker C: Stop it. [00:09:30] Speaker B: As Talus, the last thing he said before everything was, I knew that Akos would betray me. And you see this tieflings with purple skin, standing in front of you with a broken horn, wearing a mask and a long coat. And he is going to spend his first action to stride forward. And as he goes, he reaches down and pulls off this cylinder from his belt and twists it. And he is using his second action to do quick bomber as he throws bottled lightning at all of you. [00:10:26] Speaker C: Hey. [00:10:29] Speaker E: Hey. [00:10:30] Speaker B: Twists this cylinder, you can see the crackling of electricity. And he just throws it at. We'll say, Laithe. [00:10:47] Speaker D: Hey, we can say something else. [00:10:50] Speaker B: Yeah. And that is a 25 to hit you. [00:10:58] Speaker D: That is a hit, but not a crit. [00:11:03] Speaker B: Okay. And so length you are going to take nine electricity damage, and you will become off guard until the start of your next turn. And niall, gravewing, and Lou, you will also take one electricity splash damage. And for talus final action, he pulls another cylinder off of his belt and twists it. This one starts to crackle with flame. And that is his turn as he readies to throw another bomb at you. Yuri, it is now your turn. [00:12:01] Speaker E: Hello. Hi, Eurudo. Weapons ready. Is now very concerned for the safety. I, with my first action, would like to use study enemy recall knowledge. I get. I get to use my monster lore for this. I don't know. Would that be as applicable? [00:12:32] Speaker B: Sure. [00:12:36] Speaker E: Hmm. That's a five on the dice. So that's a ten versus who, the main dude? It's a recall knowledge check. So I think that has to be. It's like a 15, right. For a success. [00:12:57] Speaker B: Yes. Okay, so that was not gonna get you anything, but it's not a critical failure, so you're not going to get false information. [00:13:05] Speaker E: Beautiful. How from our position. Can I just. Do I just see this guy? [00:13:24] Speaker B: No. You see cages all around the laboratory. There's a massive one filled with a winged creature and most of the rest seem to have ghouls and ghasts and of the type. You are certainly not alone in this laboratory. [00:13:47] Speaker E: Who's next to me? Who's next to me? Um, okay, so, Aubrey, I have a thing that I normally couldn't use while fatigued. We discussed outside the game that for this fight you'll let me use it. I'll just get one level of doomed. That is an offer I'm going to take. I think Eurudo is going to look at Alouette and just say, be careful of the things in the cages. I'll distract the big guy and is going to, uh, take their coat off. That has their weapons in it. And, uh, for listeners, just a quick warning about some body horror. Uh, I am going to use my hybrid transformation for my blood hunter. It's one action and as soon as the coat drops, uh, Lou, you'll be the first person to see it because you're right next to me. Uh, you're. Those hands start to elongate and you see that their fingernails are turning to deep silver claws. And gyrudo starts to grow taller. They think I grow from their five foot four. I think they're now growing to like 8ft. You hear bones cracking. Their horns on their head are twisting and sprouting new, like, branches as they get closer and closer to look like a stag or a deer. And their face is becoming distorted and the long leads to that closer of a deer as well. Mouth growing, jaws opening, wide, sharp, sharp teeth. And they look like a combination between a werewolf and, uh, what did I say that haunts yurido? Uh, decaying stag. I think that's the look. And they grow to this feet and they kind of just let out this like snarl. And I'm going to use my first action to run up to the dude. Well, my first action, my last action of this rounds is I tried to, um, I failed to study enemies 25ft, so. And that is zero Doe's turn. They dropped their weapon, by the way, because they can't use it. [00:16:36] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:16:40] Speaker B: Well, next is one of the ghouls in the cage. They move over and sort of start bending the cage and they're going to attempt to force open the door. [00:17:00] Speaker A: With. [00:17:01] Speaker B: The sound of sort of bending and breaking metal. The door opens and then let's see what does there. And then they will spend two actions to cross and stand in front of Nile, but that is all of their turn. And then somewhere in the back of the laboratory, you hear skittering sounds as another ghoul has to spend their entire three actions to move closer to you. This one looks fresh and that'll bring us to Laithe. [00:18:01] Speaker D: Laithe does not have time to process whatever the fuck just happened to Yuri. I think that her like, is this the ghoul fever? Is this what happens? But her instinct, I think, is to confront the doctor. And so she will run forward past the horrible Gary Stagna. Let's see. Sorry, I'm having technical difficulties with moving my token. Okay, there we go. She will move to one side of the doctor. She will use her dagger. Sort of faint at trying to actually, maybe this isn't a faint. Would it be possible to use a disarm to like, or just to try and attack, like his bandolier and cut that rather than attacking him, even if it's just like, it drops on the floor and he has to spend an action to like pick shit up or something, or possibly everything explodes and leaf dies. [00:19:24] Speaker B: Luckily they're slightly more stable than that. That's why they're kind of in the cylinders. They have to be open before they're considered unstable. Yeah, you could attempt that. I would say it'll be a crafting check versus his reflex DC. [00:19:46] Speaker D: Okay, I've got a plus one to crafting, so I'm gonna go ahead and not do that. I think that she's going to faint as if she is going for the bandolier and then redirect at the last second try to stab him in his facial region near the gas mask. So that is 22 on the feint versus his perception DC. [00:20:21] Speaker B: That will succeed. [00:20:23] Speaker D: Okay, cool. And then for the stabbing, should have gone for the crafting check. Fuck. It was a Nat 20. [00:20:38] Speaker B: But yeah, a nat from 20. That's gonna critically hit. Well, this one's very fitting. It's called hand wound until healed. The target is clumsy too and can't use one of its hands. [00:20:54] Speaker D: Let's go. So yeah, I think that she aims for his face and sort of by instinct, raises his hand to block and she sort of stabs through it for 18 damage. [00:21:09] Speaker B: Okay, and I'll bring us to graveling. [00:21:13] Speaker C: Hello. Okay, let me see here. Nile of Nile. Okay, grapewing is going to use her first action to run up behind the ghoul that is attacking niall. As she does this, I think she could catch a glimpse of laith basically stabbing the fuck out of that doctor. And so as a free action, brave waves would be like, nice stab. And then we'll turn on to the ghoul. We will. Flurry of blows is what we'll do. [00:22:04] Speaker B: Hmm. [00:22:09] Speaker C: What is my. Okay, it's back there. [00:22:14] Speaker A: Um. [00:22:16] Speaker C: Does a 18 hit? Sorry? Does a 19 hit? [00:22:20] Speaker B: A 19 will hit. [00:22:21] Speaker C: 19 will hit. Dope and. [00:22:30] Speaker A: Okay. [00:22:30] Speaker B: I imagine you're doing your stunning strike. [00:22:35] Speaker C: Yes. [00:22:36] Speaker B: All right. I did roll fortitude. Thank you. You were doing that? I got an at 20 for 28. [00:22:42] Speaker C: Yucky. Does a 17 hit? [00:22:45] Speaker B: Uh, let's see. A 17 will hit. [00:22:50] Speaker C: 17 will hit. Um. Sorry. Keep looking at my freaking arm. Um. Do, do, do, do. Let me roll all the damage together. Pretty good. Pretty good for 14 points of bludgeoning damage. [00:23:21] Speaker B: Okay. [00:23:22] Speaker C: Boom, boom. Uh, it doesn't get stunned. I got one more action. [00:23:29] Speaker B: Hmm. Good. Uh, I don't know how you're. How you think you could always recall knowledge or just go crib fishing. [00:23:39] Speaker C: That do. I want 1 second. 1 second. Don't want to attempt it. [00:23:54] Speaker B: You do have a flanked right now. [00:23:56] Speaker C: I do have it flanked. Could I maybe attempt to trip it instead? I know it still counts as multi attack. [00:24:04] Speaker B: It's still gonna have the penalty, but, yeah, you can definitely attempt to trip it. It'll be an athletic check versus. It's a reflex DC. [00:24:13] Speaker C: Oh, an athletics check straight up. [00:24:15] Speaker B: Yep. [00:24:16] Speaker C: Yeah. Okay. [00:24:17] Speaker B: Still with the minus ten, because it does count as an attack. No, wait. Minus eight, because. Yeah. [00:24:25] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:24:25] Speaker C: It's finesse. Right? I was gonna say not ten, actually. That. That is the better thing for me to do. So, yeah, I'm trip it 16 to trip. [00:24:40] Speaker B: 16 is not going to trip. [00:24:43] Speaker C: Worth a shot. Muffin's just gonna wail on him a little bit, try and kick at its legs. But it's a surprisingly fortified ghoul. [00:24:59] Speaker B: It's got a good stance going on. [00:25:02] Speaker C: It is called a ghoul soldier. Right? So, I mean, technically, yeah. [00:25:08] Speaker B: And we come to another ghoul of this one will spend its first two actions to flank Laith and then strike out with its jaws for a 19 on the dice for a 26. [00:25:34] Speaker D: That is a hit. Barely. Not a crit. [00:25:38] Speaker B: Okay, can you give me two fortitude saves? [00:25:42] Speaker D: Don't I get special privileges because I'm an elf or something? [00:25:47] Speaker B: You are. No, you don't have to make the second one. You have to make the first one but not the second one because you're immune to paralysis. [00:25:53] Speaker D: That's a dirty 20. [00:25:55] Speaker B: A dirty 20? Yeah. Yeah. You're pretty sure you're fine and yet you're going to take two piercing damages. This thing just sort of gets you on your ankle. And that'll bring us to Alistair. [00:26:16] Speaker F: Yes. So I walk in here and the first thing I wonder is what the hell is that big old woman bird looking thing on the left hand side? And I will take one look at it and devise a stratagem. Recall knowledge. Are we feeling occultism? Arcana. Religion? [00:26:50] Speaker B: I would say occultism or religion. [00:26:56] Speaker F: All right, so I will go with occultism. In that case. [00:27:05] Speaker B: In your collections. [00:27:08] Speaker F: Um, so that is a 17. [00:27:16] Speaker B: Yep. On the dice or. [00:27:20] Speaker F: Yeah. Sorry. Yeah, 28. [00:27:22] Speaker B: Yeah. You can ask two things. [00:27:26] Speaker F: Um, so I'm going to ask these in character and give you and kind of give you some leeway on how you think the best way to answer that. Because the thing. What is that and how do you kill it? Interpret as you will. [00:27:59] Speaker B: It is something that used to be a person and is now mutated into some sort of creature. You can't tell too much. There's a veil covering its face and it has large dark wings and long claws. And how do you kill it? With extreme violence. [00:28:31] Speaker F: Hey, I love that. But maybe I should ask more specific. [00:28:37] Speaker B: I mean, that technically is answering. I'm answering a. Like, beauty's a regress. It has none. [00:28:45] Speaker F: Okay. Okay. [00:28:47] Speaker B: No. [00:28:48] Speaker F: Okay. Yes, that, I appreciate the. And yeah, I will go ahead and say something about it, but yeah, so my 14 for my devices stratagem role. Um, and I will use that to take a shot at it. It is. Why was that not drawn properly? [00:29:30] Speaker A: Don't know. [00:29:36] Speaker B: All right. [00:29:36] Speaker F: And that gives me a 24 to hit. [00:29:39] Speaker B: A 24 will hit. [00:29:42] Speaker F: And I just got off another game in Starfinder, so my brain's trying to use that interface for nine piercing damage. [00:30:02] Speaker B: As it is hit. It screeches out a noise. Lou, you're relatively. You've heard this noise in your nightmares. [00:30:13] Speaker A: Oh, that's normal. Normal things to dream about. [00:30:21] Speaker F: And for action three, I'll reload. [00:30:24] Speaker B: Sounds good. There is another ghoul in the back and we'll spend all of its actions to try and get closer. And now it is the raven mother with these long, like just sort of bird like claws. It opens the door and will, with the sort of giant flap of wings, briefly take flight as it closes the distance, slamming down onto the ground. Everybody within 5ft of this thing needs to make a reflex save or be knocked prone. And that includes the ghoul. That's close to it. [00:31:26] Speaker A: Hey, benefits for us. [00:31:31] Speaker E: I got a dirty 20. [00:31:33] Speaker A: I should save my hero point. I'm gonna save my hero point. I should save my hero point. [00:31:37] Speaker B: I'm more than 5ft away from it. You are fine, Lou. [00:31:40] Speaker A: I'm more than five. Oh, okay. [00:31:41] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah. [00:31:42] Speaker A: To be honest, I just assumed it was in the vicinity, so. [00:31:45] Speaker B: And Alizar, you are also. But Niall will. [00:31:50] Speaker A: Oh, good. [00:31:52] Speaker C: Okay. Um, 1 second. Because I'm doing the roles and now I'm doing the math. And I think I believe Niall has a 23. Yep. Niles a 23 and has a lot. Let me see. Please. Be good. [00:32:15] Speaker A: Oh. [00:32:16] Speaker C: Oh, it is, it is. It's, um. Dirty 20. [00:32:21] Speaker B: Dirty 20 is you all succeed, but you will be counted as off guard. For one round. The ghoul failed. So the ghoul is laying on the ground now. [00:32:39] Speaker A: Yay. [00:32:41] Speaker B: And for her last action, there is a tail that comes out of nowhere and strikes at you. Lou, for a 21. [00:32:59] Speaker A: Yeah. That's gonna hit. Sure. [00:33:04] Speaker B: As this sort of claw on the tail hits you for twelve damage. [00:33:12] Speaker C: That's enough. [00:33:13] Speaker A: I gotta do math. [00:33:20] Speaker B: And Lou, it's now your turn. [00:33:24] Speaker C: Okay. [00:33:24] Speaker A: Okay, okay. Okay. Okay. Ouch. Um. Wow. A lot just happened in that last round that's still going on. Um. Um. I think Liv's still processing the fact that her kazuman just turned into a monster. And there's some part of her brain that's like, hey, is this what they meant by family curse, question mark? Ah. Screaming. Screaming. [00:33:57] Speaker B: Bad. [00:33:57] Speaker A: Terrible. But there's somehow more monsters in the room and perhaps more crucial things to deal with. So she just got hit. She's standing next to some friends and, you know, it's combat. It's the beginning of combat and it's loose turns. So she's gonna scream as per usual. And she's going to. I'm going click. Oh, I'm gonna look at my feet. Thank you. She's going to exploit vulnerability on, I guess, the bird. The bird woman. And so I'm gonna do that. You're retired. You're not allowed to fight in this anymore. That's the third time you've rolled that number. The number being a six, for a total of like twelve. Hold on. Let me see. Okay, this is esoteric. So for a total of 1515. [00:35:11] Speaker B: And that's just the standard DC for your level, right? [00:35:17] Speaker A: Yeah. Yes. Esoteric war against standard DC for its level. Not mine. [00:35:23] Speaker B: No. [00:35:23] Speaker E: Right. [00:35:25] Speaker A: I do have all sorts of things that can happen if I fail this, which I didn't realize and we haven't been doing. My bad. That's on me. I did not scroll far enough. [00:35:35] Speaker B: I guess it is not going to be a success. [00:35:39] Speaker A: Is it a failure or a crit fail? [00:35:41] Speaker B: It's just a regular failure. [00:35:43] Speaker A: Awesome. I. Oh, wait, hang on. This may not be so bad. And failing to crawl a salient weakness about the creature, you instead attempt to explore a more personal vulnerability. You can exploit only the creature's personal antithesis. I did that all the time. Anyway, you're unarmed. And weapon strikes also become magical. If they weren't already. What kind of failure is that? That's incredible. I love this. Okay. Um. [00:36:08] Speaker B: Yeah, you just. You just don't get specific information about the creature. [00:36:11] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's fine. I don't need it. It's not useful to me anyway, so. Yeah. Personal antithesis. I believe last episode I mentioned Lou had plucked a feather or two in secret. Yuri's distracted. Laythe's distracted. Everyone seems super distracted. What a great time to just pull out a fistful of those. Because feathers. Feathers. That seems right. And then she's gonna attack. Yeah. Yeah, we're gonna attack. [00:36:50] Speaker C: Yep. [00:36:52] Speaker A: She's gonna throw a card at it with feather attached. Okay. [00:37:04] Speaker B: Much better. [00:37:05] Speaker A: New dice. [00:37:09] Speaker B: 22. 22. A 22 will hit. [00:37:15] Speaker A: Okay, excellent. Okay. And then that's gonna be one. Yeah. That should be seven. Seven damage. As she chucks a card and stabs into the bird with a card and rings a bell about it. And then I think I'm going to recall knowledge. Can I do that? I know Alistair kind of already did it, but can I do it also? [00:37:57] Speaker B: Yes. [00:37:58] Speaker A: Okay. Winorito has no immunities or weaknesses or resistances. I think. What do I roll to recall knowledge on this sucker? [00:38:13] Speaker B: Either religion or occultism. [00:38:17] Speaker A: Can I roll curse? [00:38:19] Speaker B: Yes. [00:38:22] Speaker A: So that's gonna be a 22. [00:38:25] Speaker B: A 22. You can ask one thing. [00:38:31] Speaker A: What's its highest save? [00:38:33] Speaker B: Highest save is reflex at a 13. [00:38:37] Speaker A: Sure. Yeah. Lou will shout out to the general group, I think the birds is very fast. And that's my turn. [00:38:54] Speaker B: All right. And we will come to another soldier who will spend. Let's see, how far is it? Do they have to spend? Oh, they can get there with one action to put gravewing in. Well, gravewing was already off guard, but now it's considered flanking. And this one has a sword. And it is going to swing it at you. Great wing. I don't believe a 17 will hit you. [00:39:38] Speaker C: Nope. [00:39:39] Speaker B: Okay, first one does not hit. They will try again for another 17. [00:39:48] Speaker C: Nope. [00:39:52] Speaker B: It certainly did a lot on its turn. Now it is on denial. [00:39:58] Speaker C: Okay, some questions. Ghoul that is currently being flanked by gravewing. So the one that came out to Niall at the very beginning, it's pro now. Does that mean I'm technically not engaged with it as Nile? Like, if I were to, like, just. I could just leave. Okay, thank you. Um, second question, because I pay attention to when tick does this. How high are the ceilings? [00:40:41] Speaker B: Uh, the ceilings are like 30ft up. [00:40:44] Speaker C: 30Ft up. An additional question. Where the fuck are the walls on this map? Because it's actually a little bit hard for me to tell based on, like. [00:40:55] Speaker B: Walls are, uh, like, essentially, you know, you see, because it's. It is a. Imagine this last. This is two levels. So this is high enough that it's got two levels. It's got your, essentially got three levels. It's got sort of a below level where you see all of the, all of these. All of the bodies and the failed experiments and stuff. Yes. And then it's got this level and then it's got sort of a catwalk level above it. [00:41:20] Speaker C: Okay. Dragon age inquisition in hush whispers. Got it. Um, okay. I need to double check what the fuck this does then. Okay. Um, I would like to take Nile to nearest wall using their movement speed. But I guess that would wall that I could walk up. [00:41:58] Speaker B: This would be like the sort of the far. It would be like the far walls. [00:42:03] Speaker C: Far walls. [00:42:05] Speaker B: Yeah. So you. Quite a bit of distance. [00:42:08] Speaker C: That would be quite a bit of. Just never mind. Never mind. I thought it was a bit more closer. We're not doing that. What? We are moving Nile, though. We are going to move Niall kind of a bit farther out. Yeah. For one action. [00:42:26] Speaker B: And as Niall does attempt to move, the Raven mother is going to take a reaction and sort of strike out with the tail. [00:42:41] Speaker A: And I intercept with my bell. [00:42:44] Speaker B: Yes, you can. Do you need a. It's a will save, correct? [00:42:50] Speaker A: Correct. [00:42:54] Speaker C: Yeah, I think so. [00:42:55] Speaker B: 23. [00:43:01] Speaker A: Sorry, I'm trying to read this. Oh, no, it's a fortitude. Oh, wait, one will save. One's a fortitude. We'll go with the will save, though, since you did it already. What'd you get? A horrible number. [00:43:11] Speaker B: 23. [00:43:12] Speaker A: That's what I thought. Okay, have a good time. Have fun. Kill Niall. [00:43:17] Speaker D: Bye. [00:43:19] Speaker B: Um, for a natural 20, I don't. [00:43:28] Speaker C: Even need to do anything. [00:43:30] Speaker B: And also, unfortunately, it means Niall can't move. [00:43:32] Speaker C: Niall can't move. So now I was just still stuck in the same place. [00:43:38] Speaker B: Um, yeah. [00:43:45] Speaker E: Nick is so cursed. [00:43:48] Speaker B: So this. This card is called clocked. It is triple damage, and the target is not prone. [00:43:55] Speaker C: Oh, shit. You just might kill him. [00:44:01] Speaker A: Aubrey. Not again. Not again with the crit card. [00:44:11] Speaker B: So that is 15 times three. [00:44:18] Speaker C: He's out. [00:44:19] Speaker E: Oh. Oh. I thought that was the triple damage. [00:44:22] Speaker B: No. [00:44:25] Speaker C: 15 times. Wait, 15 times 345. [00:44:29] Speaker A: That's not the triple. [00:44:31] Speaker B: That is the triple. That is. Okay, but still five. [00:44:34] Speaker C: Okay. Okay, okay. I went one further by mistake. Okay, that's. That is so much better. Because if it was what I thought it was, you would have outright just killed him. Um, he's still out, though. Don't worry. [00:44:49] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:44:50] Speaker A: Bam, bam. [00:44:50] Speaker C: Gone. Nail drops. [00:44:57] Speaker B: Pick, if you. You're not listening to this. So I was gonna say I was sorry, but you're not listening. [00:45:05] Speaker C: Goodness. [00:45:06] Speaker B: I'll tell you I'm sorry in DM's later. [00:45:08] Speaker C: Oh, boy. I had a plan. Yep, that's it. At least I get to make rolls for now. [00:45:18] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:45:18] Speaker C: Well, do I get. Okay, but I have a question. Do I get multiple hero points? Like, does bravewing have a set and dial? [00:45:26] Speaker B: Yes, that makes sense. [00:45:28] Speaker C: Okay, thank you. [00:45:29] Speaker B: You can, if you want, just spend a Niles one hero point that they have to stabilize so you don't have to wait. Make any rolls. [00:45:39] Speaker C: Yeah, let's. Let's. Let's do that. Let's do that. Let's do that. We're just gonna stabilize because we're gonna get another hero point. Dude, I'm looking at the fucking car. [00:45:48] Speaker B: Yep, you will get one very soon. Oh, my God. So, yeah, Niall had a very productive turn. And they will move up in initiative to in front of the Raven mother. And, yeah, it's the zombie brutestern who is on this giant slab and sort of starts lumbering forward. And we'll have to spend both of his actions to move into combat. Cause it's a zombie and it's permanently slow, so it only gets two actions. [00:46:23] Speaker A: Sucker. [00:46:25] Speaker B: And so this brings us to the end of round one. And you all hear the sound of running in the hallway behind you. And emerging from the hallway is Akos with two people in tow. [00:46:45] Speaker C: I don't know if that's good or not. [00:46:48] Speaker B: They're unfamiliar to you. [00:46:52] Speaker C: What do you mean unfamiliar? [00:46:53] Speaker D: That's clearly Blackwall. [00:46:57] Speaker C: I found out that was actual concept art. I thought the Holtons for years, that was fan art. No, that's black wall concept art. Someone there was thirsty. [00:47:07] Speaker B: It's fair. But, yes, there is two people you do not recognize in tow with Akos. Akos has changed out of their prison. Clothes. They're in sort of these actual leather armor, and on their back they have this segmented scythe. And Akos runs in with these two people and says, I can't believe he started the fight without me. You all move really fast. [00:47:43] Speaker A: I'm so sorry. [00:47:43] Speaker C: Chick's actually really cursed because the white haired anime Mandev. This is what they get for being italian. [00:47:58] Speaker A: This is a public apology. [00:48:03] Speaker B: They'Re never going to hear because they're not going to listen. [00:48:05] Speaker C: Devise all of your hate to Aubrey. [00:48:13] Speaker A: Don't tell them until Tuesday. Okay? [00:48:15] Speaker B: Okay. By Tuesday, for reasons. [00:48:22] Speaker A: For reasons, I'll put in the chat. [00:48:28] Speaker B: Yeah. No. And so that will. I've rolled their initiative. They are in the thing. And so we start with the dread doctor who is just going to free action, drop the alchemist's fire. [00:49:02] Speaker A: What? If not, it's what is he actually. [00:49:05] Speaker B: Going to go off? Because it's not actually spending an action to use it. It just doesn't need it right now. It would be very broken if alchemists could just walk up to people and free action drop things. [00:49:20] Speaker A: I don't know. I don't know how they work. He's a boss. He could do that. I don't know. But you home ruin here. [00:49:29] Speaker B: And out of sort of with one hand, reaches into the coat and is going to sliced at Leith with a knuckle dagger. [00:49:42] Speaker D: Oh, important question for clarification, Aubrey. [00:49:45] Speaker B: Yes. [00:49:46] Speaker D: Is he a higher level than us? [00:49:49] Speaker B: Yes. [00:49:50] Speaker D: Fuck. Okay. [00:49:56] Speaker B: Jesus. That's a natural 20 for a 29. [00:50:03] Speaker D: Ah. That's your third. It doesn't matter. That that's a. That's a crit. That's a, like, double crit. [00:50:10] Speaker B: Mm hmm. [00:50:11] Speaker A: Wait, it's a new round, right? Or. Or no? [00:50:16] Speaker B: Or. [00:50:16] Speaker A: I mean. Sorry. [00:50:17] Speaker B: Yes, it's a new round. [00:50:18] Speaker A: Reactions come back on your turn. Or at the top of the round. I never bloody remember. [00:50:22] Speaker B: Your turn, your turn, your turn. [00:50:23] Speaker A: Okay, never mind. [00:50:26] Speaker B: Um, so this is just your standard double damage, but laithe, I need you to make me a fortitude safe. [00:50:42] Speaker D: I'm gonna use my hero point. That is a 21. [00:50:54] Speaker B: 21. You notice, a little too late, that the blade seems to be coated in something as it pierces into your side. What? You don't get too much of a chance you're gonna take twelve damage. [00:51:14] Speaker D: I'm still up. Let's go. [00:51:22] Speaker B: And so it's two actions, and then they are going to spend a third action to move, to put a little distance between you and them. But, hey, there's an alchemist fire sitting on the ground. And Yuri, it is now your turn. [00:51:53] Speaker E: It is my turn. Just look at rules really quick. So this creature is a large creature. Are like a step above that large. [00:52:17] Speaker B: Creature is a large creature. [00:52:19] Speaker E: They're just like one size larger than you. [00:52:21] Speaker B: One size larger than you. [00:52:22] Speaker E: Beautiful eurudo. And their state is going to run up to now the new biggest thing in the room and is going to attempt to grapple this one with their. They're going to try to take it down with their jaws like, uh, like a ferocious animal because the jaws had the grapple trait. So I get to use that plus one. Um, against. I just had a fortitude save. Right. I should know this. I do so much grappling. Um, that is 21. [00:53:09] Speaker B: 21 against their fort save. [00:53:12] Speaker E: Yes. [00:53:14] Speaker B: That is a success. [00:53:16] Speaker E: Hell, yeah. So, yeah, Eurudo, like, now basically, like almost on all fours, using their hands to, like, speed up their momentum. Like, basically tackles this thing to the ground right next to laithe. Um, and is going to try to bite the harder down with their jaws. Uh, yeah. So that's gonna be the minus five. Oh, that's such a good number. I wish it was a 20, but it's not. Uh, weapons. I just added a lichen jaws. So that's gonna be a 22 plus eight, minus 323. [00:54:05] Speaker B: A 23. [00:54:07] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:54:08] Speaker B: Is a critical hit versus the study. [00:54:10] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. My jaws are considered silver. I don't know if that matters for this, but. [00:54:16] Speaker B: Oh. What? What is it? Piercing? [00:54:22] Speaker E: I. Yes. [00:54:24] Speaker B: Specifically? [00:54:24] Speaker E: Yes. Piercing. [00:54:25] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah, yeah, no, I mean, it's silver. Won't do anything extra, but. [00:54:32] Speaker E: Okay. So is it just double or do I roll twice? I always forget. [00:54:37] Speaker B: Double, double. So roll and double d ten. [00:54:41] Speaker E: It's a d ten. So that is going to be, uh, 22 piercing damage. As Yuri takes this thing down and the jaws kind of clamp down harder. Um, like, being gross. Uh, yeah. Yuri's not gonna say anything intelligible, so that's their turn. [00:55:10] Speaker B: Yeah. Uh, and we have this cool soldier who will spend their first action to stand. And then we'll turn to you, Greyboyne, and is going to just attack twice with its sword. And that is a 17 on the dice for a 28 hits, not crits. So you're gonna take eight damage and. Yeah. Oh, man. If Niall is here, that'd be fun, but I'm not gonna do that to them. And they're not here. And it's just gonna attack for a natural one for a seven. And the card they have is broken weapon. As you miss, you hear the sword impact with the stone and snap. [00:56:23] Speaker C: Brock, can gravewing break it? [00:56:28] Speaker B: Sure. Yeah. If you want to do that. [00:56:31] Speaker C: Let's go. Lesgo. It. It swings, I think gravewig scales pop up for a little bit. Hardens it. And she's able to just bend the blade and snap it against her forearm. Well, I guess not snap it. It would fully bend. Just like it becomes. It becomes a paperclip. [00:57:00] Speaker B: Yeah. That is its entire turn. We'll come to the ghoul who spends their first action to move up behind Yuri. And they are going to spend their second action to, you know, attempt to grapple you. [00:57:20] Speaker E: Grapple the person grappling. [00:57:22] Speaker B: Yes. They're essentially going to try to jump on your back. [00:57:26] Speaker E: Okay. Okay. [00:57:27] Speaker B: That is how I'm. For a 22. [00:57:33] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. No, I knew all my stuff is lowered. Yeah. That succeeds. [00:57:40] Speaker B: Yeah. And is going to sink its fangs into your shoulder for a five. [00:57:49] Speaker E: That's a critical fail. [00:57:52] Speaker B: Yeah, no, they just can't get through your hide as they just snap, snap, snap, snap. [00:57:58] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. Yuri's horns usually go back, so the new growth is kind of like going back as well. [00:58:08] Speaker B: And we come to the first of your new hopeful allies, Konnics, as they are hefting a warhammer. And they're going to spend their first two actions to sudden charge at the Raven mother. And. Yep. Let's go 14 for a 27. That is going to hit. Hear the sound of bone crunching for eleven damage. And then they are going to spend an action, their last action, to raise their shield. I want to bring us to laithe. [00:59:09] Speaker D: Could I squeeze between the brute and the ghoul on the left without tumbling through their space? Like, from here to here? [00:59:26] Speaker B: Yeah, because it's not a space that either of them is in and neither of them have a deck of opportunity. So I would say, yes, you can. Especially since the brute is currently prone. [00:59:36] Speaker D: Amazing. So Laithe is going to steadfastly ignore the Yuri stag monster and squeeze around these ghouls and give chase to the doctor. He is still off balance. So I will attempt two stabby stabs. The first one is a 24. [01:00:09] Speaker B: 24 will hit. [01:00:12] Speaker D: And the second one is an 18. [01:00:17] Speaker B: An 18 will not hit. [01:00:20] Speaker A: Okay. [01:00:26] Speaker D: Six piercing damage. As I think that Laith is looking significantly worse for wear. Running after doggedly after this man. But that is my turn. [01:00:44] Speaker B: Oh, hey. And that'll bring us to gravewing. [01:00:48] Speaker C: Hello. The one that's in front of me is gonna get flurry of blowed, um, if I remember how much I have to hit. There we go. [01:01:08] Speaker B: Okay. [01:01:11] Speaker C: Oh, that's really high 25. [01:01:18] Speaker B: A 25 will hit. [01:01:22] Speaker C: Nice. Using. Gonna use a hero point on that one. Yucky borsh. That's really good. [01:01:38] Speaker A: Um. [01:01:41] Speaker C: I think that's 24. Yes, 24. [01:01:44] Speaker B: 24 will also hit. [01:01:46] Speaker C: Nice. Let's go. Damage, damage, damage. [01:01:55] Speaker D: Okay. [01:01:57] Speaker C: Okay, that will be 17 points of damage total. [01:02:06] Speaker B: 17. [01:02:07] Speaker C: Yep. On the one that's still in front of Nile. [01:02:10] Speaker B: Oh, on the one that's in front of Nile. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That will actually dispatch that one. How do you want to take it out? [01:02:19] Speaker C: Um, so it. Gravewing broke number. Gravewing bent slash. Broke the. The weapon. Um, and kind of uses that momentum to. To punch the. The ghoul real, real hard in the face. So hard that they spin once. And then gravewing's able to just lock it with her elbow and just straight up snap the neck kind of with using her whole body to kind of spin so that way I could get into dragon stance for my next action. Kind of full momentum spin. Now I got a tail and I have titan wrestler. So, um, the, uh, raven mother, uh, is going to get grappled or. Well, we. There will be an attempt made athletics, right? [01:03:30] Speaker B: Yes. [01:03:35] Speaker C: Let's go. Fuck you, Nat. 20. [01:03:41] Speaker B: You're grappled. You are. You have definitely grappled the raven mother. [01:03:45] Speaker C: Have y'all seen that picture of the snake and the bird? [01:03:50] Speaker E: Yep, yep, yep. [01:03:52] Speaker C: Exact same imagery as gravewin. Kind of pushes herself up, uses her entire tail and body to just wrap to keep the raven mother grappled. I think she's able to grab one wing and get it tangled against its own body. Arms are being grabbed and kind of similarly to the previous ghoul that was just dispatched. We're using the elbow lock around the neck area. Yeah. Keeping, I think graveling has, like us, like a little like either like a thicker leather or whatever around one of the arms in particular. And I think that is the one that is being the closest kept towards where I'm mouth would be on a head. And that is like, that is like precaution on maybe if I get bitten kind of vibes. But also that is allegedly, if this thing has a mouth, I don't know, what do you have? You got a veil and shit? It could be anything under there. But, yeah, that's. That's my whole turn. [01:05:21] Speaker B: Okay. And that'll bring us to one of the ghouls. And they will spend their first action to take a five foot step to put Yuri in flanking. [01:05:31] Speaker E: Thanks. He shouldn't have. [01:05:34] Speaker B: And they are going to strike out with their claws twice for the first one is a 22. [01:05:47] Speaker E: A regular hit. [01:05:49] Speaker B: All right, roll me a four to shoot, save back. [01:05:54] Speaker E: 25. [01:05:56] Speaker B: You will take one slashing damage. [01:05:59] Speaker E: Beautiful. [01:06:05] Speaker B: And then I don't think a 13 is going to hit you. [01:06:09] Speaker E: Even when flanked, it will not. [01:06:11] Speaker B: Yeah. All right. And then that's its turn, Alistair. It is your turn. [01:06:20] Speaker F: Um, yeah, that also has to do with the order I do things in, because I do not. Like. Like, there's nothing I could do. I don't want to leave Nile just sitting there in front of that evil looking thing. Um, unconscious might get Eden, which would be an ironic fate. So first, I'm going to devise a stratagem on our raven person. 13 should do it. Not gonna do another. Recall knowledge. And then I will shoot. That's a 23 to hit. [01:07:16] Speaker B: A 23 will hit. [01:07:20] Speaker F: And that is for seven damage. And I will release my crossbow with one hand. Well, I mean, I guess you have to reload it with anyway. Regardless of how you think about the hands, it'll end up being the same either way. And I will yoink Niall behind me just to get them out of the way and make sure, like, they don't become ghoul. [01:07:53] Speaker B: Feed something. Something hilarious about the smallest person in the party. Yoinking the tallest person in the party. [01:08:02] Speaker F: Yeah, I was going to do it either way. I did have this funny mental image of failing the athletics. Check. [01:08:18] Speaker C: How much do I yell? [01:08:19] Speaker B: You don't yell. You're moved. [01:08:22] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah, nothing happened. Okay. I was confused for a little bit for Niall. [01:08:26] Speaker F: Yeah. Repositioning to get Niall out of the way. [01:08:33] Speaker B: And it is Akos turn. Akos pulls off the segmented scythe from their back and unfurls it. And for their second action, they're going to start whistling and cast inspire courage with lingering composition. [01:08:55] Speaker C: Let's fucking go, alt leaders. Gotta be bards, y'all. I miss you, Lu. I miss you. [01:09:04] Speaker A: Inspire courage. [01:09:05] Speaker C: I miss you every fucking day. [01:09:09] Speaker B: Put it right there. So everybody's gonna get that plus one to all of their stuff and roll their performance check. Yeah. It'll keep going for two rounds, and then they will spend their last action to move up behind the raven mother as you all feel a little bolstered by their song, sort of whistling a classic sea shanty. And it'll bring us to a ghoul's turn. And this one is going to spend an action to put Laithe into flank. [01:09:58] Speaker D: Okay, so four, the ghouls are lower level than us, right? [01:10:02] Speaker C: Ghouls are lower level. [01:10:03] Speaker B: Yes. Ghouls are lower than us. [01:10:04] Speaker D: Okay, so I am flanked to the ghoul, but I am not flanked to talus because I have denied vantage. [01:10:12] Speaker B: Okay, and second action. Strike out with its claws for a 22. [01:10:26] Speaker D: Wait, if it hits, if it meets, it beats. So it would still hit me. Okay. [01:10:32] Speaker B: Yeah, that hits for two. Take two damage. Okay, they're gonna just try one more time to. Yeah, that's an eight. That's a critical miss, but it's not one, so I don't draw a card. And that is their turn. It is Nile's turn. They're taking a nap. [01:10:57] Speaker C: Yeah, that's all I can do, right? [01:10:58] Speaker B: Yeah, that's about all the kids. Someone heals them. So it is now the raven mother's turn. And the raven mother is going to spend her first action to take an athletics check versus. They're going to attempt to escape. [01:11:15] Speaker C: What is it against? [01:11:18] Speaker B: And escape is versus your athletics DC. [01:11:24] Speaker C: Okay. And that's like, just ten to my modifier says 20. [01:11:30] Speaker B: They got a 24. So they will manage to sort of, they just sort of flap their wings and in this gust of wind, sort of use it to make you take a step back. I have no feet or a slither. [01:11:49] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. I just wiggle off. [01:11:55] Speaker B: And so it does escape, does count as an attack action. So they will be attacking with their claws at a penalty. And so, gravewing, this is a 24 to hit you. [01:12:21] Speaker C: Yeah, it will hit. [01:12:23] Speaker B: All right. For 18 damage. [01:12:29] Speaker C: Jesus. Yeah, that hurts. [01:12:35] Speaker B: And they are going to spend their last action to turn the table on you and wrap their bird like talons around you. And you are now grabbed. [01:12:48] Speaker C: Oh, there's no. Okay. [01:12:50] Speaker B: Yeah. And that is their turn. Lou, it is now your turn. Right. [01:13:05] Speaker A: All right, we got a lot of stuff happening here. Question one, do I have to move to heal nile? [01:13:13] Speaker B: No, you're within 5ft. [01:13:15] Speaker C: Okay, cool. [01:13:16] Speaker A: I wasn't sure if the diagonal made things any funky. I don't know what that sentence was. Don't worry about it. It's fine. I'm gonna do battle medicine here using my healers toolkit and my six medicine. As per usual, I will be using a hero point for this role. Much better. Much better. Okay, that's gonna be a 19, maybe, plus one as inspired courage. [01:13:54] Speaker B: Not for inspired courage, that's just attacks and damage. Two D, eight. [01:14:01] Speaker A: Two D, eight. Hold on one moment. Thank you. Okay. Two, D, eight. Two D, eight. I have eight. I can roll. [01:14:14] Speaker C: Two, D, eight. [01:14:18] Speaker A: Five. So niall is healed. Five. As Lou does the usual panic as she tries to go through the healer's kit. I think every time it is that she's pulling out a little instructional booklet that came with the kit and she's just rifling through trying to find what applies. And she always flips to the wrong page every time. So that's why I'm always using my hero points on these roles. But yes, she does rouse Rosam, I think by also calling to schism, who she doesn't know outright is the second person, but has strongly suspected it. Okay, please wake up. Please. That will be really wonderful right now because everything is terrible and good. Oh, look, there you are. Where on the map? First question. Can anybody use alchemist fire once it's been assembled? [01:15:23] Speaker B: Yes. [01:15:25] Speaker A: Where on the map would that fire be? [01:15:27] Speaker B: Literally right by Gary's feet. [01:15:33] Speaker A: My little handy dandy. I can reach that. Maybe. We'll see. I'm gonna try it anyway. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yep. Lou's gonna be brave and foolish at the same time. And she's going to run and then, I don't know, baseball slide under the raven mother and try to go past her to get to that thing. I don't know if I can go like around by a grave wing and still reach it. I don't know. Oh, I'm gonna have to talk really fast or if I have to go directly under. [01:16:08] Speaker B: If you want to go directly there, you will have to move through the raven mothers space and that will be a tumble through. [01:16:14] Speaker A: Okay. I think in order to reach it, unless I. Unless you think I can reach it by going along the line that bravewing is on. I'm just guessing at the location a little bit here. So if following that line will get me there within reach of it, then I'll go that way. [01:16:34] Speaker B: You do? Your movement is 30ft. [01:16:38] Speaker A: I think it's 25. 25 standard. Right. [01:16:42] Speaker B: I would take you right there, which. [01:16:44] Speaker A: Is that within grabbing range or do I have to be on the same thing? [01:16:48] Speaker B: You have to be within 5ft of it. So you'd have to be up by, like, right next to Yuri less, which is 30ft. [01:16:55] Speaker A: All right, so no matter what, I can't use it this turn? [01:16:58] Speaker B: Yeah. Blast. [01:17:04] Speaker A: Mmm. Then there's no point going after it because too much is gonna happen beforehand. Maybe I should. Well, no, I should have healed now no matter what. Okay. Um. Hmm. Hmm. That ruins my plan a little bit. Ah, shoot. I gotta do this fast. Um, sorry, I'm bleeding. Don't worry about it. Um, I'm having a nosebleed. It's fine. Five was the answer to the healing question. Um, I guess I'm just gonna throw a card at it. But then what? Um. [01:17:53] Speaker B: Shoot. Um, so you've got two actions. You could definitely get most of the way there and throw a card still. [01:18:01] Speaker A: I know I was gonna throw fire, but I. Yuri's gonna yell at me if I actually run over there and. And then throw a card. But I could throw a card from here. [01:18:11] Speaker D: Yell. He's a monster. [01:18:13] Speaker B: Exactly. [01:18:14] Speaker A: We're ignoring that. [01:18:15] Speaker C: That is all. That is all they could do. Yellen. [01:18:21] Speaker A: That's true. Stag noises. Yeah. [01:18:26] Speaker C: You don't know what they're saying. They could be saying, nice one. Good job. [01:18:28] Speaker A: Good job. Great. [01:18:31] Speaker B: Proud of you. [01:18:32] Speaker A: I am gonna just. I'm just gonna throw a card at the Raven mother. Because even if I run past and don't go through her space, she's probably still gonna try to attack with that tail. [01:18:51] Speaker B: She's got a reaction. [01:18:52] Speaker A: I know she does. That's why. [01:18:55] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:18:55] Speaker A: I'm gonna just throw a card and then I don't know what I'm gonna do for a third action. Nope, screw it. Whatever. I'm gonna run over there and pick it up. It's. It's the same thing. Same thing. I'm just gonna run over and pick it up, maybe. [01:19:17] Speaker B: Okay. She's going to attack with the tail. [01:19:21] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:19:27] Speaker B: Or a three on the dice for a 16. [01:19:32] Speaker A: That's exactly my AC. How about that? Unless it got boosted, but I don't think so. [01:19:38] Speaker B: Um, not the AC. [01:19:40] Speaker A: I didn't think so, but. [01:19:45] Speaker B: And you will take nine slashing damage. [01:19:50] Speaker A: Am I stopped? [01:19:52] Speaker B: No, because it's not a critical hit. Oh, 1 second, 1 second, 1 second. [01:20:04] Speaker A: The alchemist fire is 30ft away. [01:20:07] Speaker B: Uh, yes, I can get it from here. [01:20:12] Speaker A: I have a cantrip card, and if I recall correctly, this is not one of the ones that lave has. Cause you do not have telekinetic hand, right? [01:20:23] Speaker D: Correct. [01:20:25] Speaker A: And that's 30ft. And that's two actions, so I can get that without moving. Sorry. Yeah, I know, I know. [01:20:36] Speaker E: You're good. [01:20:38] Speaker B: We will rewind that. The raven mother did not attack you. I don't know what you're talking about. You're good. [01:20:45] Speaker A: That's what I thought. I just remembered it as I was taking that damage. Yeah, it's gonna go and grab the thing. It can move an object. Can it activate an object? [01:21:06] Speaker B: I would say the thing is already activated, so it just needs to be thrown. [01:21:13] Speaker A: Can I throw it? [01:21:15] Speaker B: Sure. [01:21:16] Speaker A: I would like to throw it at the big zombie so that Yuri only takes splash damage instead of the main situation. [01:21:29] Speaker B: Yeah, roll it's kind of the same thing would be to throw a card. It uses the same stats. So just roll that, get in that tray. Blast. [01:21:44] Speaker A: That's only a twelve. [01:21:46] Speaker B: A twelve. Because this thing is prone. That is a hit. Oh, it is big and clumsy. It is not hard to hit. [01:21:59] Speaker A: Amazing. Yeah. Lou fumbles in place for a minute, starts to run, changes her mind, remembers the cantrip deck, pulls it out, grabs the first card off the deck with like a heart of the cards moment. Doesn't even look at what it is, just pulls it up, rips it in half. And exactly what she needs, like wraps around her hand. And this teleconnect hand shoots out, picks up the the vial and then chucks it badly because she's like falling as she throws it away on the other side of the room. And then it hits the root, I guess. [01:22:39] Speaker B: Yeah. Roll two d eight plus four. Oh, I rolled. [01:22:46] Speaker A: Great. That's gonna be 1414. [01:22:51] Speaker B: So they will take 14 damage. Yuri, you will take two. Fire splash damage. Yeah. [01:22:58] Speaker E: Okay. [01:22:58] Speaker B: Okay. And this one is also going to take a to persistent fire damage. [01:23:04] Speaker E: Good, good, good. [01:23:16] Speaker F: Is Lou all up in my personal space intentionally, or did you move back to the wrong square? [01:23:22] Speaker A: I might have bumped it on accident doing something else. [01:23:24] Speaker B: Sorry, was that your turn? [01:23:27] Speaker A: That was my turn. [01:23:29] Speaker B: Okay, we see the other new mysterious person. This woman with a scar on her face. She has a short bow in hand and is going to spend her first action to move up so she can get a better line of sight on this. And she is going to take a couple of shots at the ghouls that are on Yuri. Okay. The first attack is a 21 for six damage, and she's gonna just turn around and do it again. Unfortunately, a five is going to miss and it sort of just sails a little high. But she readies another arrow to go when she gets a chance. And we're gonna see one of the other soldiers. This one is still right next to you, graveling, and is going to you are grabbed. So it starts to speak in necral, and I need you to make me a will save. [01:24:58] Speaker C: Okay, that's new. Um, 18. [01:25:10] Speaker B: You managed to shake it off and you're relatively sure you're fine. [01:25:17] Speaker C: That's the scariest thing that's actually happened in this combat. That's all I'm gonna say. Everything else, the things that didn't speak before started speaking, and that it's just. [01:25:28] Speaker B: Going to hit you twice with its claws for a 29 for the first time. [01:25:34] Speaker C: Doesn't crit, but it hits all right. [01:25:36] Speaker B: Even though you are grabbed. [01:25:38] Speaker C: Oh, I am grabbed. Then that would become a critical. Right? [01:25:44] Speaker B: Uh, yeah. It would reduce your ac by two because you'd be considered flat foot. [01:25:47] Speaker C: Yeah. What? Wait a minute. Reduce my ac with it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:25:55] Speaker B: Uh, so take twelve slashing damage. Yeah. You are. This one takes you down with a claw to the gut. And you are limp in this raven mother's grasp. And then this one will spend its last action to go visit Yuri. And it is now the zombie brutes turn. And they will spend their first action to stand up. And then they will strike at you. [01:26:38] Speaker E: Gary, they're grappled. [01:26:42] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. They have to do that. [01:26:44] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:26:45] Speaker E: Escape artist check. [01:26:50] Speaker B: Does a 17 beat your reflex? Your athletics DC? [01:26:58] Speaker E: Athletics DC. It does not. [01:27:06] Speaker B: All right, so I'll just do that. And then it's just. It's still going to make an attack at you. [01:27:11] Speaker E: That's right. [01:27:14] Speaker B: For a 26. [01:27:17] Speaker E: Oh, data. Hits. Hits. No crit, but it hits. Wait, I am flanked. Technically correct. Off guard. [01:27:29] Speaker B: Not because you have this one grabbed, but you are not flanked to this. You are flanked to the ghouls that have you flanked because you have this one crit. It can't count as. Can't count with the other. The ghoul soldier, for making you flanked to it. Cool. You take twelve damage. Ow. [01:27:50] Speaker E: Is that. Oh. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. Okay. Oh, dear. That's fine, it's fine, it's fine. Let me just read something now. [01:28:14] Speaker A: That's fine. [01:28:15] Speaker E: That's fine. I'm still up. It's feature problems. [01:28:20] Speaker B: And here we find ourselves at the beginning of the third round. And I think this is where we shall end it for this episode. As we come back and several of the people are up and down, so a lot of people looking not great. Will you all be able to triumph against the dread doctor? We shall see. Join us next week. Well, let's take a snap. [01:28:49] Speaker C: That's me. That's me. Thank you for listening. If you enjoyed it, think about supporting us on Patreon. If not, leave a review. Reviews go a long way. We need many. Otherwise, I don't know what the fuck's gonna happen, y'all. Holy shit. [01:29:13] Speaker B: Holy shit.
