[00:00:43] Speaker A: Waking up dreaming dark so long I cannot find meaning hold my hand let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all the these demons always roam me in this red light because me he is reaching out consuming. [00:01:29] Speaker B: Hello everybody, welcome back to Goblets and Gaze. I'm Aubrey, your gm, and I'll toss over my players to introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get on rolling into things. [00:01:39] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Maki. My pronouns are she, her and I play Grave Wing, the Nagaji sylph, vigilante monk slash air kineticist who also uses she her pronouns and she is the party mom slash strategist of the rebellion. [00:01:57] Speaker D: Hello, hello, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them and I play Leith Idrisi iv, the matricidal Dampier, dandy, rogue and spymaster who uses she any pronouns? [00:02:10] Speaker E: Hello, I am Dusty, I use they he pronouns and I'm playing Yurido. Just Yurido. Still, they are our nephilim cursed boy of a problem. They are going to be the party and is rebellious firebrand and they also use they he pronouns. [00:02:31] Speaker F: Hello, I am Faris, I use she her pronouns and I am playing Alouette Valer, a totally normal Nephilim thaumaturge bard having a very normal and good time learning all about her way more cursed family. She also uses she her pronouns and is the anathema partisan. [00:02:49] Speaker G: Hello, I am Sparlock, and both me and my character use he him pronouns. I'm going by Alistair Whiskerfield, wizard detective extraordinaire, heir to the fine distinguished family of wizard mice, Ratzerts, Esoki, Arcanists. I swear I was always aware of it. I keep my whiskers to the ground to uncover the truth of the powers that be who subjugate us, by which I mean I'm our recruiter and hello. [00:03:21] Speaker H: To round off the group. I am Tick, I have he, she, they pronouns and today I'll be playing Nile, a flesh warp sorcerer who is just a totally ordinary cook and quartermaster for the group and definitely not a cannibal. Parentheses He's a cannibal, but it's a dietary restriction, so don't be too mean to him. [00:03:38] Speaker B: So who wants to tell me what happened last time? [00:03:41] Speaker H: Sometimes making decisions is very hard. Making ethical decisions is harder. When Aubrey throws a trolley problem at us right at the end of the session after we have everything planned out perfectly. That's basically what happened last time, if I'm going to be honest. We had Several discussions, but at the end of the day, Aubrey said, hey, it's time to save Nadia. 17 innocent civilians are going to be executed in 30 minutes. Do you want to save them or do you want to save Nadia? And we all just kind of had to sit down, take a deep breath and be like, one, Aubrey, how dare you? [00:04:08] Speaker B: But you don't know how many. [00:04:10] Speaker H: Aubrey, I swear to God, I'm going to mute you. I know I'm not the dm, but I'm going to mute you. But two, which option are we going to take? And we sat down out of character, which, if you're on Patreon, Aubrey might post it if you ask really nicely what exactly we're going to do. And then in character, we fight each other, like at our fucking throats to decide what we're going to do. Eventually settling on saving Nadia, because we made that plan. Honestly, I was like, please, we made a plan. If we don't use it, I will cry. I am begging you. But we essentially figured it out. And grave one was like, listen, if this fucking woman causes us shit, I'm going to kill all of you. And then just looks over at Niall and Alastair, who did not really have much of a pleading emoji moment. And they were like, not you. You guys are fine, but these three bitches over here, the rich guys, are not. Okay, so we have decided to go save Nadia and jump scare. Aubrey's not even letting us have the saving. Being safe, more combat. Let us live. First we have to fight each other emotionally. Now we have to fight something physically. [00:05:08] Speaker B: Exactly. [00:05:09] Speaker H: Something mentally with having to do math beyond comprehension. [00:05:13] Speaker B: It's just called playing this game. So, yes, as last session, something barreled out of the woods and now you get a chance to look at it better. Everybody start rolling your initiatives. But this thing is probably 9, 10ft tall, sort of this sickly green fungus covers its entire skin. Long arms that end in these sort of just disgusting looking claws. And its mouth sort of hangs it open and. And you can see as these vines and this fungus has sort of grown out of it, covering its body. All right, everything starts off with the first round. Leith, you see this towering creature? [00:06:12] Speaker D: Yeah. Leith is not thinking, super great seeing Nadia come, having barely made this decision to rescue her, and now this. So she is just going to run past. She is just going to run sort of cast sweeping alongside this troll to get her body between it and the approaching Nadia caravan and is going to, I think, faint a swipe at one of its ankles before trying to plunge a dagger into its other leg. 32 to faint. [00:06:56] Speaker B: A success, but not a critical success. [00:06:59] Speaker D: Ooh. He does have a minus two circumstance penalty to perception and reflex saves for the folks who use saves. All right, and then my attack. [00:07:13] Speaker H: Yikes. [00:07:15] Speaker D: That is a 25 to hit. [00:07:18] Speaker B: 25 hits. [00:07:19] Speaker D: Okay, cool. 19 damage. Do you need it broken out? Piercing and precision. Okay, cool. 19 damage. [00:07:27] Speaker B: Aye. Anything else for your turn? [00:07:29] Speaker D: That's it. I think that she maybe. Yeah, no, the caravan will be able to see what's going on. So she does not need to shout. [00:07:38] Speaker B: Yep. So Laith, as you pull this dagger out and you watch this Icarus blood flow from the wound, you watch as the wound starts to close up and heal. And it's almost like you didn't do anything. And this thing turns to face you with its lifeless, sightless eyes and just comes at you with a claw attack for a 24. [00:08:08] Speaker D: Oh, I didn't put my armor back on after the thing, so let me do that real quick. A24 you say? Yes, I will. Nimble dodge out of the way. [00:08:21] Speaker B: And it's just going to follow up with two more attacks. This time a 27. [00:08:28] Speaker D: That'll hit. [00:08:30] Speaker F: Hey, can I ring? I just remembered I have a bell. [00:08:34] Speaker B: Don't have a reaction yet. [00:08:35] Speaker F: Oh, not yet. [00:08:35] Speaker B: Dag for 14 damage for the first hit. And then it has one more action. So it's going do it again. This one is just going to barely miss with the 23. [00:08:48] Speaker H: Sweet. [00:08:49] Speaker D: No, wait, my AC is 23. [00:08:52] Speaker B: 23. Then we'll hit. [00:08:53] Speaker D: It only works for the one triggering attack. Yep. [00:08:56] Speaker B: Yeah, I forget it's always plus two. So take 22 damage. [00:09:03] Speaker D: Jiminy Kerbins. Okay. [00:09:08] Speaker B: You just watch this thing just slam, Islam. [00:09:11] Speaker D: I have five health currently, but I also have a single caustic blast. So I'm fine if we have to hit it with acid or fire. [00:09:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Speaking of, Lou, it is your turn. [00:09:26] Speaker F: Okay, Cheese Louise, quick question. I know combat already started, but could I just real fast give out talismans I would have given out at the beginning of the day? [00:09:40] Speaker B: Sure, yeah. Also, you might want to. Do you want to draw a card? [00:09:43] Speaker F: Oh, yeah. I got a lot of daily preparations to do really fast. And we're saying it happens in the morning. I'm giving them both to laythe talisman wise. The first one is the lover's knot and the second one is an emergency disguise. So just, you know, you had a bow tied on a corner of your hair for no reason and were also handed like a little her compact you were handed her compact for also no particular reasons. What'd I draw? [00:10:19] Speaker B: So you pulled the juggler. [00:10:23] Speaker F: Okay. [00:10:24] Speaker B: The chaotic good card of dexterity. It represents destiny, deities, and those who play with the fates of others. [00:10:36] Speaker F: Interesting. [00:10:38] Speaker B: Incredibly. But yeah, it's chaotic Good. So that is the plus 10 to a roll. [00:10:46] Speaker F: Okay, great. I am going to. Lou's going to pull out a little like a little glass vial and unstopper it and give it a little swirl. Hang on, let me read. Let me double check one more thing before I do this. Okay. Yeah. So the paired link, the little. The little gay earrings that we have specified that on the ally that I am linked to, I can cast spells and use thaumaturge abilities that have a range of touch at a range of 30ft. If I were to. To. To sip from my chalice, can I apply it to laythe through the paired link? [00:11:41] Speaker B: Think so, yeah. Theoretically, yes. That makes sense. [00:11:44] Speaker H: Like an umbilical cord. [00:11:45] Speaker F: We're doing it. No, we're not doing it like that. That's for alien. That's different. We can't go. That metaphor is right here now. Yeah. So Lou's gonna take a sip from the little vial and is. Is going to ping it against the earring, like after she does it. So laythe you feel your earring ring in your ear and you gain four temporary hit points until the end of your next turn. [00:12:24] Speaker B: I mean, there's probably. Your ears are probably ringing in general with these blows that you've taken, so. [00:12:30] Speaker D: But I heal basically twice as good as I did before, so pretty much. [00:12:36] Speaker F: And then Lou's gonna pull out a little tiny pocket watch and just like flick it against her bell to make the bell ring and is going to cast deja vu, hopefully on the troll. Okay, so that I need a will save, and I'm really hoping trolls aren't great at this. [00:13:03] Speaker B: Would a. What is that? Is a 20? [00:13:06] Speaker F: Oh, that's under. Yay, you failed. Okay, so whatever actions the target uses on its next turn, it must repeat on its following turn. So it's not what it just did, it's what it does next. It has to then do it the next time around. So if it makes an attack, it has to repeat the attack against the same creature if possible. If it moves, it has to move the same distance and direction if possible. If it can't move, do it for whatever reason. It can do its own thing, but become stupefied until the end of its turn. So hopefully that doesn't come back and bite me in the butt. That's my turn. Moving on. [00:13:45] Speaker B: Okay. And that'll bring us to graveling just above table. [00:13:51] Speaker C: We haven't made any rolls yet to determine what the. This thing is, right? [00:13:57] Speaker B: Nope. [00:13:58] Speaker C: What would. What would that be like if I. [00:14:03] Speaker D: Had to pick the role? [00:14:04] Speaker C: I need to know this because of. [00:14:05] Speaker B: Specific things like a nature, if you have an applicable lore. Probably any of the. Probably like an arcana or occultism. [00:14:24] Speaker C: So I am trained in nature, thank fucking God. I also do have warfare, but it's the. It's the same bonus. [00:14:38] Speaker B: Nature would be the. Be actually the lower DC than warfare. [00:14:43] Speaker C: Okay, then I'll do. I'll spend first action to try and figure out what the fuck this is a little bit. So. So, yeah. Nature, you said. [00:14:57] Speaker B: Yes. [00:15:00] Speaker C: I'm using pretty dice because I haven't used my pretty dice in a while. It's super sparkly and it looks like an early 2000s girl specific target audience children's animated show. And all of that was a good enough stall for my role. So that's 19. [00:15:31] Speaker B: A 19. You can ask one question. One question and we'll give you that. This is a troll. This is a troll that has been corrupted by the eld. [00:15:41] Speaker C: A troll that has been corrupted by the eld. What's. What is its weaknesses like? Weaknesses, vulnerabilities. That feels like the most important question. [00:15:57] Speaker F: Fire. [00:15:58] Speaker C: Okay. I can't. But last, last, last fight, it was all me. This fight, it's all Yuri. Let's go. Okay. [00:16:10] Speaker H: Okay. Okay. [00:16:11] Speaker C: Good. Is it free action to yell use fire? [00:16:17] Speaker B: It is a free action. [00:16:18] Speaker C: Okay, cool. Free action. Grave wing. We'll just yell, it's a troll. Use fire. So I think what I'm gonna do is I'm. I'm going to. I'm going to move a little bit. [00:16:32] Speaker E: Or. [00:16:32] Speaker C: No, no, I should throw first, then move. I think so. I don't. I don't know. I don't think. I don't know if there's any penalties involved in throwing, but I will throw an alchemist fire at the creature, at the troll, and then I'm going to move forward. So that way I'm in front of the squishies. The Squishies being right now. Lou and Alistair. What is it to throw, though? That's. That's a. [00:17:01] Speaker B: It would be a dexterity attack roll. [00:17:05] Speaker C: Cool. So yeah, I'll just roll that then. [00:17:11] Speaker H: 24. [00:17:12] Speaker B: All right, 24. 24. Just barely hits. [00:17:19] Speaker C: That's good to know. [00:17:20] Speaker B: So roll that damage. [00:17:23] Speaker C: Here's the other fun part. Now I gotta see what the Moderate alchemist fires. Thing is, there it is. It should be 2d8 fire with 2 persistent fire damage and 2 fire splash. 2 fire splash. I think lathe is in the splash, but this thing is huge. [00:17:51] Speaker B: Essentially, is if you hit it on the front, like, here splashes only five feet. [00:17:58] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah, well, I'm definitely hitting it in the front. I'm not trying to hit it in the face or anything yet. So. [00:18:04] Speaker B: Yeah, so then it'll take that. It's going to take persistent fire damage. [00:18:10] Speaker C: Yeah, it's going to take seven points of the fire damage, plus the two persistent fire. So I'm going to put that there, and then my last action is to move up, so that way I'm in between the squishies. And that should be. That should be it. That should be all three of my turns done. [00:18:33] Speaker B: Yep. So, Niall, it is now your turn. [00:18:37] Speaker H: Yuri, I'm. You're going to feel. Niall, put a hand on their back and just whisper behind you. Just trust me. As you feel some little tendrils start to crawl over your body a little bit as I will cast haste on you. So now you can. Alexa, don't. Can you put that face away from where you found it? It's not okay if it's using haste. [00:19:01] Speaker E: Oh, this is gonna be very concerning once Yuri actually has to get the fire working. [00:19:08] Speaker H: It's okay. It's fireproof a little bit. [00:19:11] Speaker E: What? [00:19:13] Speaker H: It's fireproof. The slime is fireproof enough. It's for the vibe. [00:19:17] Speaker E: The slime. [00:19:19] Speaker H: It's okay. Don't worry about it. I'm casting haste. Let me live. [00:19:24] Speaker E: Perfect. Thank you. [00:19:25] Speaker B: Is. [00:19:26] Speaker H: Is that you feel a little energized from the. From the. The slime energy. The little slimy energy. I'm not giving you Healy, sadly. [00:19:36] Speaker E: But I don't need it. In fact, I'm gonna hurt myself on my own, so it's okay. [00:19:41] Speaker H: Oh, and this thing's probably really good on fortitude, right? [00:19:49] Speaker B: Haste is two actions. So you have one action left. [00:19:52] Speaker H: Yeah, I'm just checking. [00:19:54] Speaker B: What? [00:19:54] Speaker H: Like, usually I just do shield, but I'm also hiding behind someone, but I'm not sure if I have any, like, one action spells that I'd really want to use right now other than shield. So, yeah, let's go for shield just in case. My third action is gonna be shield after hasting. [00:20:08] Speaker F: Hasting Yuri. [00:20:09] Speaker B: All right. And that'll bring us to Yuri. [00:20:12] Speaker E: Really? Okay. My roll. [00:20:14] Speaker H: Lower spot. [00:20:15] Speaker E: Oh, my God. [00:20:16] Speaker H: Babe, you're next. [00:20:18] Speaker E: I hate your smear. Yuri is not gonna take the Time to be careful about it. So they're. They have their surround out. They're just going to swipe it across their hand doing crimson ride. So blood covers it and catches a flame and then I am going to sudden charge so I could Yeetus attackus here. And attack. [00:20:52] Speaker B: What is the attack? Wow, that's figure that out. [00:20:57] Speaker E: That is a dirty 30. [00:20:59] Speaker B: 30 will hit doesn't crit. [00:21:02] Speaker E: Great. That is going to be 2D 8, 7, 5. So 12 plus 3 plus 6 fire damage. [00:21:14] Speaker B: Okay, you said 12. 12 plus 3 plus 6. [00:21:24] Speaker E: Yeah. 15 and then 6 specific fire damage. So 15 slashing, 6 fire and it's Titan steel. I don't know if you know that does anything. [00:21:35] Speaker B: It doesn't have any weaknesses to any specific kind of metals. [00:21:39] Speaker E: Great. Damn, that would suck. Since silver would be nice for me too. Then I'm just gonna sing one more time. [00:21:50] Speaker B: Pardon me. [00:21:52] Speaker E: So that's for less. That's for 22. [00:21:57] Speaker B: 22 does not hit. [00:21:59] Speaker E: Okay. It's not a crit fail. Right. [00:22:02] Speaker B: Not a great fail. [00:22:03] Speaker E: Great. And I'm in its own. So that's my turn. [00:22:07] Speaker B: Yeah. And that'll bring us to Alistair, the. [00:22:12] Speaker G: Monster that we are looking at. Do I have a clear view of him? Like normally people in front of me would be like soft cover. But yes. [00:22:22] Speaker B: He's like 10ft tall. Okay, he's very tall. [00:22:27] Speaker F: Perfect. [00:22:27] Speaker B: Very large man. [00:22:29] Speaker G: Just double checking also. Very interesting man. So first thing I will do is I will designate him a person of interest and I will devise a stratagem about him as part of that. I got a 12. I think I'll take care. Take that 12 for attacking. I will also. And we said that nature was the best way to get him to get information. [00:23:02] Speaker B: Yes. [00:23:04] Speaker G: Okay, so. And I assume he. I see that he's been overTaken by the ELD but that wouldn't make him any type of undead, would it? [00:23:14] Speaker B: No. [00:23:16] Speaker G: Worth a try because my knowledge of the undead is a little bit better. But yeah, let's go ahead and do a nature check. [00:23:28] Speaker B: He's very much still alive. [00:23:32] Speaker G: All right. Does a 21 get me anything? [00:23:35] Speaker B: You have one question. Weakest saving throw will with a plus 10. [00:23:45] Speaker G: Oh goodness. All right. And then I will use that 12 to get in a shot at him. So that's a 26. [00:24:02] Speaker B: Yeah, 26 will hit for. [00:24:06] Speaker E: Yay. [00:24:07] Speaker G: I'm up to 4d6 for 14 damage including the precision damage. [00:24:14] Speaker B: All right. [00:24:16] Speaker G: And for my last action. So instead I am going to take one from my friend's book and I'm gonna shield. Oh, and also, by the way, as part of that action, he is now because I hit him with something that I used to visa stratagem on. We're gonna go. Leith is going to have him be off guard for the first attack. And that will be my turn. [00:24:51] Speaker B: Yeah. And that brings us to the top of round two with Laith. [00:24:54] Speaker D: Yeah, Laith hurts a lot. Her head is ringing, but her ear is also ringing weirdly. And I think that she takes a step back from the troll, and as she does, sort of tugs at the strange ribbon that Lou had tied in. [00:25:18] Speaker F: Her hair this morning. [00:25:21] Speaker B: Mechanically. Five foot step, right? [00:25:23] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:25:23] Speaker D: Five foot step. And I am going to activate the lover's knot. [00:25:32] Speaker B: Yay. [00:25:35] Speaker D: And because I have battle medicine, I get 7. Plus 7 is 14. Nice. [00:25:44] Speaker B: 14. Yeah. [00:25:46] Speaker D: Yeah. 14 healed. And then with my final action, I will swipe out with my whip and try and hit the troll. [00:25:58] Speaker B: Yeah. And as you're doing this, you can kind of see that the pirates and stuff are mostly just keeping back and keeping Nadia back, because they're like, someone else is handling this. We don't have to touch this. [00:26:09] Speaker D: Yeah, fair. I rolled in that one. So I'm gonna go ahead and use my hero point. [00:26:15] Speaker B: Probably a good idea. [00:26:18] Speaker D: I don't know. I think it'd be funny. [00:26:20] Speaker G: It would be. [00:26:21] Speaker B: And I haven't pulled the card in. [00:26:22] Speaker E: A bit. [00:26:25] Speaker D: But that is a 29 on the new roll. [00:26:30] Speaker B: 29. [00:26:31] Speaker D: 29 will hit for 15 damage. [00:26:36] Speaker B: 15. [00:26:36] Speaker D: All right, and that's my turn. [00:26:42] Speaker B: That bring us to the troll. It does not regenerate because of the fire, but yes, it sees you, Irido, who has the big fiery thingy and is going to swing at you. [00:27:00] Speaker E: Yeah, do it. I forgot to take my damage when I did my thing. Getting to that A sheet. [00:27:06] Speaker B: It's actually going to not swing at you with its hands. It's going to try to bite you for a 36. [00:27:18] Speaker E: You know, surprisingly, you may find this as a surprise. Gm. That is a crit. [00:27:26] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah, I thought so. Take 46 damage as this just chomps down on you and you can feel bones break. I like how Dusty turned his camera for that. [00:27:42] Speaker C: Jesse, turn on the camera. But we didn't hear you say, what the. I just need you to know that we just watched. [00:27:47] Speaker E: Yes, I know, I know. My camera. My mic was on. It was 40 effects specifically for Aubrey. 40? What? [00:27:54] Speaker B: 46. [00:27:56] Speaker E: Oh, well, can you lower that? [00:27:59] Speaker H: Because he's gay. [00:28:01] Speaker E: Good thing you didn't bite Ra. They would be dead. [00:28:06] Speaker C: I was gonna say that. That's a. That's a one shot on. [00:28:09] Speaker H: That's the bite of 87 over here. It's a point of damage for everyone of Yuri's exes. [00:28:19] Speaker F: Yuri, I'm so sorry that this has to happen to you. [00:28:22] Speaker B: Next round, follow up with a second attack for a 25 that also hits this one. [00:28:33] Speaker H: Is the second attack a bite attack or not a bite attack? [00:28:36] Speaker B: It is not a bite attack. It's just a claw attack. [00:28:38] Speaker H: Okay, sorry. I'm writing this down for deja vu. [00:28:40] Speaker F: Same. [00:28:41] Speaker B: All right. For 24 damage, I still got the camera. [00:28:46] Speaker E: Yuri's down. [00:28:48] Speaker F: You're down. You're dead. [00:28:51] Speaker E: Yes. [00:28:52] Speaker F: Dead or down. I'm just checking. This is very similar when stressed. [00:29:00] Speaker E: Aubrey, my Crimson riot. I have to do 10 damage in a sec. [00:29:04] Speaker B: I need to finish. [00:29:05] Speaker F: No, you don't. You're done. [00:29:08] Speaker E: You're good. [00:29:08] Speaker F: You can leave now. We don't need you. [00:29:10] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:29:10] Speaker C: This is his Midge's second attack. [00:29:12] Speaker F: Oh, my God. [00:29:13] Speaker B: Has one more action. [00:29:14] Speaker F: No, it doesn't. [00:29:16] Speaker B: And it's going to use an action called rend. [00:29:19] Speaker F: I don't like it. [00:29:21] Speaker B: And this is a. For a target that is hit consecutively twice. It doesn't have to roll. It just applies the damage. So you're going to. [00:29:32] Speaker F: Because it count as movement attack. [00:29:35] Speaker B: No, it does not. As claw is jaw attack. Claw attack. And then just another slam on Yuri. So, Yuri, you're going to go up in on your dying value. [00:29:53] Speaker C: Oh, my God. [00:29:54] Speaker E: This is fun. I'm having fun, guys. So that would put me up on dying too, Immediately. I don't have Die Hard, so that's fun. Ari, since we're. I'm already dying and we're already kind of in Flavortown since Yuri's blood is a thing that's causing fire. [00:30:13] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:30:13] Speaker E: Could you say that taking a big bite of someone that is made of fiery blood would hurt the guy? [00:30:23] Speaker B: I will say it'll at least keep its regeneration off for the next round. [00:30:26] Speaker C: Sure. [00:30:27] Speaker E: You know, as soon as I can do something. [00:30:29] Speaker C: What about the persistent fire damage? [00:30:31] Speaker B: It actually recovered from the persistent fire damage. I just rolled for that. I was about to tell you at all that it hit full of death. [00:30:38] Speaker E: Rolls while someone else goes, no, no. [00:30:41] Speaker F: No, no, no, no. None of that now. [00:30:45] Speaker B: Okay, Lou. Yeah. It's your turn. [00:30:48] Speaker F: Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh? Okay. I think I can just skip straight to Battle medicine. I don't have to root to life right now. Root to life is the backup when battle medicine is rendered mute. Actually, hold on, hold on, Hang on. I got options now. Suddenly for healing. And some of them are new, so I have to double check stuff. Okay, yeah, we're going to do that. I think we're going to do that. I'm going to screw my plan that I had like two turns ago. Whatever. That's out the window. We don't care anymore. I'm going to run forward to my cousin and battle medicine. My cousin. Okay, so this is a medicine check. I'm using my card to give myself a plus ten. [00:31:45] Speaker B: Do you? Yeah, no, you can do that. I was about to ask if you were export expert. [00:31:50] Speaker F: I don't freaking know. No, no, no. [00:31:54] Speaker B: You're just trained. So, yeah, you just go for the DC15 and your. Your card will give you an extra plus 10. Yep. [00:32:01] Speaker F: So as she's pulling out the instructional booklet and doing the rapid healing poultices, she's also pushing the card into the wound. It'll be fine. It'll come back out and it's like dissolving into. So that's going to be a Nat20. [00:32:27] Speaker B: Hell yeah. [00:32:27] Speaker F: It's been a long time, but I have one. What a time to get one. So that's going to give me a 39 medicine check. [00:32:34] Speaker B: Yeah. That is a success. On the trained action to do battle medicine, which is 2D8 and double it. [00:32:42] Speaker F: Plot times two as the tarot card just dissolves into the wound. That's gonna be 18 healing. I don't think I can drag Yuri out of here because Aubrey's smile makes me think this thing has opportunity attacks. So we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. So until then, I'm just gonna try. [00:33:04] Speaker B: And it has very long arms. [00:33:06] Speaker F: Yep, very long arms. So until then, I'm just gonna boost you full of health and hope somebody else can get it out of the way. Yeah. So I'm gonna also then take the little. The little vial from around her neck and just dump it down Yuri's throat as they're coming back to consciousness. Just. And have a little sipset. I'm gonna drain the chalice. So you get 15 HP as you. You get a nice little sort of like fizzy drink. A little fizzy drink. It tastes fizzy, but it isn't actually. [00:33:40] Speaker E: Okay. [00:33:41] Speaker F: It reminds you of something, but you're not sure what. [00:33:43] Speaker E: Here he is, like spitting his. I was like, please don't get close. [00:33:50] Speaker F: Don't die. I won't have to. [00:33:52] Speaker E: Working on it. [00:33:54] Speaker F: It's gonna get worse here. You need to get out of here. It's gonna attack you next. I kind of made it do it on purpose. Yeah, that's my turn. [00:34:05] Speaker B: That's three actions and yeah, that'll bring us to graveling. [00:34:12] Speaker C: I am. I'm gonna. I'm going to attempt to trip the troll. I do have Titan wrestler should still work. And that is a athletics check for me. Against its dc, right? Did you nod? I'm sorry, I looked away. [00:34:32] Speaker B: Yeah, it is. It would be against its fortitude. DC supported. [00:34:37] Speaker C: Man, that's a troll. Okay, everybody, what's. I need your power. Dragon Ball Z. Style. Style. [00:34:48] Speaker H: Energy. [00:34:48] Speaker C: Dragon Ball Z. [00:34:54] Speaker B: Okay. [00:34:55] Speaker F: If I can get a Nat20 tonight, so can you. [00:34:58] Speaker C: I'm gonna use a hero point on that because I'm not taking that. I'm not taking that. I'm not taking that. I'm not taking that. I'm not taking that. [00:35:04] Speaker F: Come on. [00:35:05] Speaker C: Pretty nice. Okay, that's 19 on the die, plus my mod 4 fire. So that's 32. [00:35:20] Speaker B: 32 is barely a success. [00:35:24] Speaker C: Oh, jeez. [00:35:28] Speaker D: I don't like that. [00:35:31] Speaker C: Okay, somebody add that to our notes of things that we know. So it's tripped. [00:35:40] Speaker B: It is prone. [00:35:43] Speaker C: Okay. I didn't think that this far ahead. It's prone. So there's nothing. Nothing stopping me from stomping on it. I have a question, though. [00:36:02] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:36:05] Speaker C: Oh, wait, no. You said before. Now it will become two actions to retreat to retrieve another Alchemist fire, right? [00:36:12] Speaker B: If you don't have one on the. But also, you are now in a spot where someone, one of your party members is probably going to take splash damage. Everyone's very routed around it. [00:36:26] Speaker C: That's true. That's true. That's true. Okay, theoretically, let's say that. Let's say I'm in this position again. What if I like. Like, would I have to roll if I just like, pop the bottle and drop it on it? Like, let's say it's prone again. Then I just. [00:36:42] Speaker B: Like, it's essentially, you still have to roll to hit it. So you have to throw it. Essentially, the bombs have to be thrown and detonate. Like, just dump it on it. [00:36:53] Speaker C: Just dump it. [00:36:54] Speaker D: Okay. [00:36:54] Speaker C: Yeah, I just wanted to double check that. It's like, could I just dump it on it? But yeah, that's fine. All right, then what I'm gonna do is I'm going to. So I'm going. First action was to trip it. It's tripped. Second action is to go into Dragon's Dance. So that way I do more. And third action will be flurry of blows. Because why not? [00:37:18] Speaker B: That will start out at your minus 4. [00:37:21] Speaker C: At the minus 4. Yes or minus 5 in this case. Yeah. Dragon stance is still. It's not finesse. [00:37:28] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:37:29] Speaker C: Yeah. Damn. It's that high. Sorry, I'm not used to having such high. Like strength modifiers and stuff where it makes this. It makes it seem like it's doable in my head. You know what I mean? Even though, like, I know that I won't be able to hit that last one unless I like Nat20 the last one. So let me just. Yeah, for sure. The last one will not hit if it's AC's 24. I rolled a 15. 15 is the last one. Is that a crit fail or. [00:38:11] Speaker B: No, it is not a crit fail because it is prone. [00:38:15] Speaker C: That's right. That's scary. That's suspicious. That's weird. [00:38:22] Speaker F: Okay. [00:38:24] Speaker C: And 22, 23. Sorry. [00:38:32] Speaker B: 23 will hit. [00:38:33] Speaker C: 23 will hit. Okay, so it'll still. Let's do our damage. Important because I have my. I have the Bane rune for aberration. Will that be going off? [00:38:53] Speaker B: It actually only really counts as a giant. [00:38:56] Speaker C: As a giant. Okay. That's good to know. [00:38:59] Speaker B: Because the Eldar, surprisingly of this plane. So it don't really count as aberrations. [00:39:04] Speaker C: Oh, what a terrifying lore drop. [00:39:09] Speaker B: Yeah, they're technically just plants. [00:39:14] Speaker C: This walking dead ass plant. Not walking dead. [00:39:18] Speaker H: Sorry. [00:39:18] Speaker C: The last of us. That's what I meant. What I really meant was the corrupted. But. [00:39:26] Speaker B: Yeah, 2020 damage. [00:39:30] Speaker C: Yeah, 2020 bludgeoning damage. But my. My fists count as magical. Magical for the purpose of getting past resistances or whatever. [00:39:41] Speaker H: I mean, lol. I would say magical in bed, but. [00:39:45] Speaker C: I don't know actually. I don't fucking know, actually. Don't get. Actually, I do know what am I saying? I'm pretty sure I was like, no, actually, I do fucking know what am I saying. And I think that's it. I think that's all of it. That's. Yes. [00:40:06] Speaker B: Niall, it is not your turn, Mods. [00:40:09] Speaker H: We're going to kill this guy. I hope so. Like, I don't have any fire spells, but in terms of hoping this thing doesn't have resistance, acid is basically like. Is like liquid fire, kind of. I don't know if that's acid. I hope it's neutral. I'm just fucking praying it's neutral. And also for one specific side effect that I can get on this spell, I'm going to cast a third level ink shot. As this time the stomach on Niall's stomach is actually going to open and launch a very large stream of acid, ideally at this thing's Face that you. [00:40:43] Speaker B: Have to, like, pull up your shirts. [00:40:45] Speaker H: Yeah, just, you know, pull up the shirt as a treat. People can see. People can see the tummy, you know, a little bit. But that is a 26, which I. [00:40:54] Speaker B: 26 will hit. Yeah. [00:40:55] Speaker H: Okay, so it is considered. I do. I do get to do damage. I do get to do damage. Hold on, pause. I forgot about that. Let's throw my damage. That's a lot of numbers. So there's 21 acid damage. [00:41:09] Speaker B: It takes it. I don't know why I did the dazzled thing right there. [00:41:13] Speaker H: So, hypothetically, could you reroll that next turn to fail possibly. No. Hypothetically, it's because you're now dazzled as well. I'm just sad that it succeeded its roll when you didn't mean it roll. [00:41:24] Speaker B: It didn't even need to make a make one because it has to roll. [00:41:28] Speaker H: Up next turn to attack someone. You definitely should roll it then, you know, and not include the success. Hypothetically. [00:41:35] Speaker B: Hypothetically. We'll see. [00:41:37] Speaker H: Yeah. And my third action, I guess the thing's not gonna try to attack me, I don't think. But I am going to slap the motherfucking shield up just in case. Because I am scared. If this thing starts swinging at me, I am fucked. That is my three actions. It's called spitting acid at people and then hiding behind a shield, Alistair. [00:42:02] Speaker G: All right, so first up, I'm going to devise a stratagem. A15. I will definitely take that. So I will take a shot with my short bow. [00:42:19] Speaker B: All right, that is a 29. That is a hit. Yep. [00:42:25] Speaker G: For 12 piercing and precision. That is actually exactly average damage. Well, a little bit less. I think 14 is the average. And I actually have two actions left. [00:42:45] Speaker B: Yes. [00:42:46] Speaker G: Which is gonna take some getting used to. I will go ahead and cast telekagetic projectile. Okay, let's pick up a rock from the nearby area. And that's map minus five. [00:43:06] Speaker B: Yes, it is. [00:43:09] Speaker G: I'm guessing a 16 does not hit. [00:43:11] Speaker B: 16 does not hit. [00:43:15] Speaker G: And that is my turn. [00:43:17] Speaker B: Okay. And that'll bring us to the top of the round with Laith. [00:43:22] Speaker D: Yeah, we don't really do called shots, so I will not attempt that. Instead, I think I'm going to stay back. I see that Yuri is down, but has Lou there with him. And I'm just going to try and attack from my position a step away. [00:43:48] Speaker B: That was like a plan. [00:43:50] Speaker D: First is a 20 dirty, so that misses. Second is a nat 20, so it'd be like a 30 dirty 30. [00:44:01] Speaker B: All right, that'll hit. [00:44:03] Speaker D: And I think I'm just gonna do three. So I'll roll my third one, too. Third is. Yeah. Gonna miss, but, yeah, it's an at. [00:44:13] Speaker B: 20, so it'll do double damage. [00:44:17] Speaker D: 16 times 2 is 32. [00:44:21] Speaker B: 32. All right, so it'll take 32 damage. [00:44:27] Speaker D: And that's my turn. [00:44:32] Speaker B: Yuri, it is now your turn. [00:44:35] Speaker E: I think what I'm going to do instead is I assume I dropped my surround when I went down. [00:44:42] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:44:43] Speaker E: Would it be fair to say that I have the archivists on, like, one weapon straps. I could kind of just, like, grab it. [00:44:51] Speaker B: Sure, yeah. [00:44:53] Speaker E: With one action, I assume. Because I'm not gonna bother getting out because I want to shoot it with the archivist from the ground. [00:45:00] Speaker F: Like, you're gonna use an action to move. Right. [00:45:04] Speaker E: They have another hero point. It just turned. Yeah, right. Okay, let me use this big boy. A 28. [00:45:15] Speaker F: 28. [00:45:16] Speaker B: 28 does hit. [00:45:19] Speaker E: Okay, that is going to be seven plus three. Now. That is just going to be eight piercing damage. [00:45:35] Speaker B: All right. [00:45:39] Speaker E: I don't think I should go crit fishing, but I think you should go. [00:45:44] Speaker D: Get out of the way. [00:45:46] Speaker B: You should go crit fishing. [00:45:47] Speaker F: No, no, no, no, no. [00:45:48] Speaker B: Yes, you should. [00:45:49] Speaker C: No, no, no, no, no. [00:45:51] Speaker F: Don't listen to her. [00:45:54] Speaker E: Does being prone stop you from attack of opportunity? [00:45:58] Speaker B: It currently cannot make an attack of opportunity because it is prone. [00:46:02] Speaker F: Okay, it's prone. Yeah. [00:46:07] Speaker D: Crawl away. [00:46:09] Speaker H: Alfred's like a toxic ex. She just keeps telling you to do stuff that's really bad for you. Well, Olive, it's crazy. [00:46:16] Speaker C: I mean. I mean, but, like, it's also Yuri, and Yuri only does things that's bad for them. [00:46:21] Speaker F: So, Yuri, consider. Don't traumatize your cousin. [00:46:25] Speaker E: I think it's. [00:46:25] Speaker B: Yuri, consider. Traumatize your cousin. [00:46:28] Speaker E: I think traumatizing the cousin happened episode like, five. [00:46:32] Speaker F: Okay. But don't do it worse. This would be worse. You understand that, right? [00:46:37] Speaker H: If you die, I'm eating your corpse. [00:46:40] Speaker E: No, that's a threat again, that would be bad for you. [00:46:45] Speaker H: It's not like I've eaten a single healthy thing this entire game, okay. In terms of eating people. But if you don't want to end up skizing food, don't die. [00:46:53] Speaker E: This brush over here, this is like. Is this just, like, off the main path, or is it, like, forest or. [00:46:59] Speaker B: It is off the main path. [00:47:01] Speaker E: But, like, is it walkable or is it just, like, forested trees and stuff? [00:47:05] Speaker B: It is theoretically walkable. [00:47:07] Speaker F: Walkable city. [00:47:12] Speaker D: You're gonna crawl into the brush and get eaten by a wolf. [00:47:15] Speaker E: I could take a wolf. [00:47:18] Speaker B: You're gonna crawl under the brush and get eaten by the Eld. Remember, the entire forest is alive. [00:47:23] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Where's my cool? [00:47:25] Speaker F: It's gonna be like that scene in Jumanji in the attic with the plants. [00:47:30] Speaker B: It's gonna be like the scene of annihilation with the bear. [00:47:33] Speaker F: Worse. [00:47:35] Speaker E: I am going to crawl, I guess, because I can't get up because I already used an action to grab a weapon and shoot it. [00:47:46] Speaker B: You can spend one action to crawl five feet. [00:47:49] Speaker F: You've got to be kidding me. [00:47:51] Speaker E: Well, it's half my speed, right? [00:47:52] Speaker B: No, it's one action for five feet. There's a. There is a. There's a skill you can get called swift crawl, which will. Which is half of your movement speed. [00:48:01] Speaker E: Okay, well, that's the case. I'm gonna shoot again. [00:48:08] Speaker F: No. [00:48:08] Speaker G: Let's go. [00:48:09] Speaker E: If that's the case, I'm gonna shoot again at five feet away. If it stands up, that's not gonna save me at all. And if I could get a crit. If I could get a crit. This is donezo. [00:48:19] Speaker H: You're like, acting as a gambler, actually. [00:48:23] Speaker E: Is it even bloody? [00:48:25] Speaker F: Aubrey, what's this thing look like right now? How bad does it look? How hurt? [00:48:30] Speaker B: I mean, it's. It's looked pretty shit this whole time, but, you know, it doesn't look great. [00:48:36] Speaker F: On a scale from one to a crit, does it look like it could die in the next moment? [00:48:44] Speaker E: I you not. I you not. I got a crit. I got a 920. [00:48:50] Speaker H: I hate you. I don't want to hear water for bad behavior. [00:48:54] Speaker B: Let me pull your card. So, yeah, it is called javelin catcher. Triple damage if the attack was ranged or thrown. So triple that damage. [00:49:09] Speaker F: Oh, my gosh. [00:49:10] Speaker E: The Archibus has a fatal D12. [00:49:12] Speaker B: Yes. Triple. Triple it. [00:49:15] Speaker E: I roll three of those. [00:49:17] Speaker F: Oh, my God. [00:49:18] Speaker B: Well, you just roll it and then triple it. [00:49:20] Speaker E: No. And the weapon adds one additional die of the list of dice. [00:49:25] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. No, it does. [00:49:28] Speaker F: I need this to kill the troll. On the other hand. How dare you. [00:49:36] Speaker C: This episode is brought to you by therapy. [00:49:40] Speaker F: This is the family therapy. [00:49:42] Speaker C: No, no, no, no, no, no. It is deeply needed right now. That's what I mean. Family therapy. [00:49:50] Speaker H: Session. [00:49:52] Speaker E: That is 29 plus 1, which turns it into 90. [00:49:59] Speaker B: So narrate how this looks. [00:50:05] Speaker C: All I'm gonna say is, I think this is the most damage dealt at a lower level. Because obviously, we were doing, like, trip, like, triple digits at higher levels, but at a lower level, we almost hit triple. That's pretty that's pretty fuck wild. I love it. [00:50:21] Speaker B: It's guns. Guns are wild, man. [00:50:23] Speaker E: I think Yuri shot it. And like. Like, the whole internal monologue was like, if I move away, it's gonna kill me, but I don't want it to hit anyone else like this. They reload because the archabist is like a long rifle. Reload it and pauses and takes, like, a really deep breath before pulling the trigger. And it goes. It's. Excuse the. The visage, but it's like a headshot. And Sniper Elite Mercenary or whatever that game is. [00:51:04] Speaker B: Yeah, Sniper. [00:51:07] Speaker E: Sniper Elite. [00:51:09] Speaker B: Follow the bullet. [00:51:10] Speaker E: Yeah, it's like that. And Yuri sees it, stops moving and then just drops it and just lays on their back. Okay, okay, okay. [00:51:23] Speaker B: As you do this and you deliver this killing blow, the troll stands still. And in a moment, it is like the thing desiccates and decays before your eyes as the Eld reclaims it into the forest, into the ground. The ground swallows up what remains. And there's some scorch marks, some blood stains, but after seconds, it's like it wasn't even there. [00:51:58] Speaker C: I'm gonna really quickly pop out of dragon form or dragon stance. That way I have my legs again because there's fucking people over there. But I have a question. Did it leave anything behind? Like, I don't know if the troll was, let's say, wearing anything necessarily, but, like, it's still, like, I did not leave anything behind. [00:52:23] Speaker F: I'd like to hug my cousin. [00:52:25] Speaker B: You could do that. Yeah. And the Pirates see all of you, and they're just. They're a little unsure of what to do because, one, they did watch you kill that thing. Two, you're not the people that are supposed to meet them. [00:52:46] Speaker F: Right. [00:52:46] Speaker D: Hi. [00:52:48] Speaker H: Hi. [00:52:50] Speaker E: One, I'm going to hug Lou back and just like, thank you for helping me. One second. Oh, everything hurts. I would like to walk over with the gun over my shoulder, like, kind of fall, blink to look at the Pirates. Like, you could leave. [00:53:08] Speaker B: Give me an intimidation role. [00:53:10] Speaker E: I actually fixed my character sheet. Sorry. Yeah. Bonuses to that now. [00:53:14] Speaker C: Oh, God. I was about to be like, what are you gonna do with, like, a plus three, bro? [00:53:18] Speaker B: Like, because of what you just did, I will also give you a plus one circumstance bonus. [00:53:23] Speaker H: Oh, my God. [00:53:23] Speaker E: Incredible. Go. Let's go. The Dice suddenly love me 25, 26 with that plus one. [00:53:38] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. The Pirates, they all, like, look at each other and they say something in quiet hush tones, and it's just like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We don't. We don't want any trouble. We don't want any trouble. And they're like, just gotta go to the city. Yeah, whatever. [00:53:59] Speaker C: The docks are open. [00:54:00] Speaker E: Go to the docks. [00:54:01] Speaker B: Even better. Even better. [00:54:02] Speaker E: Leave the. Leave the carriage. [00:54:05] Speaker B: Oh, they are actually. They didn't actually bring a carriage. [00:54:09] Speaker H: Where's the woman? [00:54:11] Speaker B: She. She is there. You can see she's behind all of them. Carriage. They're on Pastor Hinder. [00:54:19] Speaker E: Okay, great. [00:54:20] Speaker B: It's actually faster for just everyone to travel on a Hester hunder rather than through on a carriage, because that'll take even longer because you can't move as quick. [00:54:30] Speaker E: And then I'll just. I kind of like will look back at Leith, like, with intention for you to get the. Over here. [00:54:38] Speaker D: Yeah. Leith is torn between relief that this plan has worked and absolute rage that these guards hired to protect her system are running away at the first sign of trouble. Like, her mother can afford better guards than this. But she will sort of shuffle over, I think does not look great still from that hit by the troll, but will shuffle over towards Nadia and the Hester hunder. [00:55:07] Speaker B: Leith, can you give me a perception check? [00:55:11] Speaker E: Concern. [00:55:14] Speaker D: 28. [00:55:18] Speaker B: As you move to get closer to Nadia, she takes a half step back. [00:55:25] Speaker D: Laithe will pause and sort of put her hands up and in a far quieter voice than most of you have heard from her say, like, hey, Nadi, it's okay. Go on. We're here to get you somewhere safe. [00:55:49] Speaker B: And for my edification, because this has been a week. Were you going as anathema or yourselves? [00:55:58] Speaker D: I thought we had decided to go as ourselves. [00:56:02] Speaker B: I wanted to. I just wanted to verify this before whatever happens next. [00:56:08] Speaker D: Is that true, group? [00:56:09] Speaker E: I don't know if that part was actually discussed. [00:56:12] Speaker F: I don't think we did. [00:56:13] Speaker E: However, I. I think it would maybe make sense to go as ourselves. That way Nalia knows who the this is. Does that sound right? [00:56:27] Speaker G: If I was. [00:56:28] Speaker E: Yeah, you did leave in a hurry, so. [00:56:31] Speaker B: Yeah, so, I mean, that makes sense. And her earlier actions still stand the half step back and being unsure and says to you. She's being like you. You killed her. [00:56:55] Speaker D: She's still there, there, and there's something wrong. [00:57:02] Speaker B: And. And you. What are you going to do now? [00:57:14] Speaker D: Get you somewhere safe and then I'll explain. [00:57:21] Speaker B: Give me a diplomacy check and I. [00:57:26] Speaker F: Can, I guess, guidance. [00:57:28] Speaker B: Yes. [00:57:29] Speaker F: Okay. It's just gonna be a quick squeeze of your hand. [00:57:35] Speaker D: You got a hero points back, right? [00:57:38] Speaker B: Yeah, you got a hero point. [00:57:40] Speaker D: You said nothing in that one. Guidance is plus one, one plus one plus one. 31. [00:57:51] Speaker B: 31. She has. Okay, good. We can. We can talk. [00:58:00] Speaker D: I think that Leith will sort of tentatively reach out a hand to her. [00:58:07] Speaker B: She's on Astor hunder, so she'll let it continue walking forward until it's close enough that you can grab the reins. So the girl has been acquired. Back to throwing hammer. [00:58:25] Speaker C: Mm. With haste. [00:58:27] Speaker B: With haste. Yeah, you make haste leaving Scene of the Crime, and we'll figure out what happens next time. [00:58:40] Speaker H: Oh, nice.
