[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam Waking up dreaming dark so long I cannot find meaning hold my hand Let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel.
[00:01:00] Speaker B: It now it holds me all the.
[00:01:03] Speaker A: These demons always roam me in this red light because me he is reaching out consuming.
[00:01:30] Speaker B: Hello everybody. Welcome back to Goblins and Gaze. I'm Aubrey, your gm. I'll introduce my players, who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get rolling into things.
So this, this episode's gonna be, well, a little different. We're gonna go back and figure out what's going on in the hole. Would the recap person like to tell us where we left off with the.
[00:01:49] Speaker C: I can whole thing?
So, general recap. Lou was dragged into the hole by her bird mother, Tal. I almost said talon. Wrong guy. That has a similar name. Tal.
Alive, this guy does not stay dead. I should have eaten him when I had the chance, but I wasn't here. I was busy physically, I was not here, unfortunately. But this time, not gonna miss. But he's alive. He wants to help Lou's mother because he's a home wrecker. As usual, this man has no redeeming qualities.
So everyone.
Well, the cousin's aggressive like the cousin and the lover aggressively like. Oh my God, we gotta save Lou. That's my cousin slash lover. But in a weird situationship that I'm not going to define. Even though it's been like three seasons.
[00:02:36] Speaker D: Two separate people. Let's be clear, please. Two separate people.
[00:02:41] Speaker C: I think it's kind of obvious that it's two separate people.
[00:02:44] Speaker D: No, the way you're saying it makes it sound like the same person.
[00:02:46] Speaker C: So I do not support that.
Anyways, we got the equivalent of a fantasy elevator that goes down, which is a parachute. We got parachutes. They're working on the way to get back up. And they're like, we'll get it done a couple days. So like worry about the second half of the elevator when you're done. And honestly, Luke could probably just fly us out now that I'm thinking about it, if all goes according to plan.
[00:03:12] Speaker A: But.
[00:03:15] Speaker C: Ferris shaking her head is like, it's not going to go according to plan.
[00:03:17] Speaker A: It's going to be bad. And I'm like, oh, Lou is a flightless bird.
[00:03:21] Speaker C: Have you heard of a flight whisper? I love that song. Anyways.
But yeah, we descended into the hole and Aubrey merely said, hey, do you guys like combat? Right? You guys like the L? You're a fan of getting jumped immediately, right? Yeah, let's. Let's get jumped immediately. So we're being jumped immediately. Why is Lou here?
[00:03:41] Speaker B: So Luke and watch.
[00:03:43] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:03:46] Speaker C: Already?
[00:03:47] Speaker D: Let's go.
[00:03:48] Speaker B: She's not here, but she's here in spirit to cheer you on.
[00:03:54] Speaker D: Let's go.
[00:03:56] Speaker B: So, yeah, give me those.
Give me those initiative rolls. All right, so yeah, we pretty handily start things off with the lathe.
[00:04:09] Speaker E: Leith is going to sort of slip between two of the Eld and faint stabbing at one of them, and then hopefully get to step behind it so that she will be flanking with Yuri eventually, once Yuri gets into combat. So for the faint, that's a nat 20 on the die.
So they are off guard against all melee attacks until the end of my next turn.
And then I will step behind them, which I get as a free action.
And I will stab twice.
[00:04:49] Speaker B: Hell yeah. Let's go.
[00:04:51] Speaker E: Well, the first stab attempt is a 25.
[00:04:58] Speaker B: A 25 will hit.
[00:05:00] Speaker E: Okay, 18 damage.
And then quickly stab him again.
[00:05:09] Speaker B: And it's piercing damage.
[00:05:10] Speaker E: Right, so that is piercing and precision. Do you need them broken out?
[00:05:15] Speaker B: How much is piercing? I will need piercing broken out.
[00:05:18] Speaker E: Okay. Piercing was the fours.
[00:05:25] Speaker C: Eleven.
[00:05:27] Speaker B: Eleven. Okay, cool.
As a slight, the piercing itself, you know, because unfortunately it is a thing reanimated by these vines and fungus. It.
It's a little bit harder to hit.
So piercing doesn't seem to be doing as much, but like, the precision does.
Fine.
[00:05:47] Speaker A: Interesting.
[00:05:48] Speaker E: Okay, well then can I switch to the whip in my other hand for the second attack?
[00:05:54] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:55] Speaker E: And that's slashing. I don't know if slashing does any better, but 24 to hit.
[00:06:02] Speaker B: 24 will hit.
[00:06:03] Speaker A: Nice.
[00:06:05] Speaker E: Do you need the slashing separated out as well?
[00:06:07] Speaker B: Slashing does not need to be separated.
[00:06:09] Speaker A: Sweet.
[00:06:11] Speaker E: 17 damage. And that's my turn. Just trying to get through these guys.
[00:06:18] Speaker B: Niall, it is not your turn.
[00:06:21] Speaker C: I have a question just to refresh my memory from past experiences. What weaknesses and resistances immunities do we know that these guys have?
[00:06:28] Speaker B: Last time you fought them was when you went up against the troll and the troll was weak to fire.
[00:06:36] Speaker C: Okay. No, like, resistances that we learned about piercing?
[00:06:40] Speaker B: None. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Piercing.
[00:06:43] Speaker C: Okay. I'm pretty sure I was like, damn, did Inkshot work? Well, the answer is apparently.
[00:06:50] Speaker B: Does it not work?
[00:06:51] Speaker C: Well, it. It works. You know, it works a normal amount probably.
Anyways, here's Inkshot. I'm going to.
For my first action.
I don't like there being monsters around me. I'm a little bit of a ranged fighter, but looks like we're kind of dealing with this guy over here.
And I'm gonna see where's a good place to move. I'm not gonna get like mega ultra flanked.
I'm gonna use my first action to.
[00:07:24] Speaker A: Move.
[00:07:26] Speaker C: Like right over here.
And I use my last two actions to ink shot the guy that currently.
I almost said Patricia. That's not your character's name. Lathe. Leith is fighting.
[00:07:40] Speaker B: I don't know if Alyssa has ever played a character named Patricia.
[00:07:44] Speaker C: I don't know why Patricia's on the brain, you know. Anyways, here's a second level ink shot.
[00:07:48] Speaker B: I have the brain.
[00:07:50] Speaker C: My brain is. My brain's something, you know, My brain is just a pile of meat.
I can cast spells with it.
You know.
[00:07:58] Speaker B: Technically you cast spells via the alien organism symbiotic. Well parasitically bought it bonded to you.
[00:08:06] Speaker C: That is a 24 for the parasitic symbiote to shoot acid at someone it hits.
Okay, let me roll the damage.
I love how there's a minus attack penalty for it. As if you can use it more than once or two. I mean guess haste. But anyways, I might have to make a save of some sort. It takes 16 points of acid damage.
And let me check something about the spell.
It's dazzled for one round as a singing ink blurs and distorts its creature's vision.
So it takes the 16 acid. It is now dazzled for one round.
And Nile is just very much staying out of the way. Like you're a please stay in front of me type of. You know, I'm just a little guy.
And that is my turn.
[00:08:56] Speaker B: Right, that is your turn. Okay. It is the Eld's turn, the one that you are all currently facing off against.
And it is going to turn towards you life and is going to attempt to sort of reach out with one of this sort of of rotten arm that's sort of been wrapped with these vines almost tentacle like vines flat. Check is five.
And that is a 34 to hit you.
[00:09:36] Speaker C: Wowzers.
[00:09:38] Speaker E: Yeah. That is a hit, but not a crit.
[00:09:43] Speaker B: Alright. And that is going to be 17 damage.
Their second action follows up by grabbing you.
And also I need you to make a fortitude save 26.
All right. You are okay for the time being. But you feel like these thorns on the spine are trying to leech some sort of poison into your blood.
[00:10:13] Speaker E: Jokes on them. My blood is poison?
Metaphorically, because my mom sucks.
[00:10:21] Speaker C: I get it. Your family's toxic. Get over it.
I was substituted for that. Sorry.
[00:10:27] Speaker B: For its last action, it seems to absorb something and you watch as some of the vine new Village growths grow to cover the areas that you've burnt away with acid or sliced away.
[00:10:47] Speaker E: I'm sorry, is it absorbing something for me or just from like the environment from you?
No, dislike.
[00:10:57] Speaker B: Yep. It is.
It is healing itself.
That is its entire turn.
[00:11:04] Speaker C: Is this the spell? Blood consumption, AKA the spell I couldn't take?
[00:11:08] Speaker B: No.
[00:11:09] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:11:09] Speaker A: Thank God.
[00:11:12] Speaker B: All right. There is the furthest one away from all of you. It is now ant's turn and it is going to spend its first action to close in with Yuri.
And you watch as this thing's mouth opens. You can kind of see the. The vines and everything sort of coming from its mouth.
And it is going to attempt to bite you.
[00:11:41] Speaker D: That's fine. I guess.
[00:11:46] Speaker B: That was a 30.
[00:11:48] Speaker D: It's a hit, not a crit.
[00:11:51] Speaker B: Not a crit.
Roll me a fortitude save Jesus cross.
You will take 24 piercing damage.
[00:12:03] Speaker D: Jesus Christ.
That's a 30. 30.
[00:12:11] Speaker B: You're. You're fine, but you also feel like it's trying to leech something from you and then it's going to just follow up with a attack with one of its tentacly arms.
Just confirm.
[00:12:32] Speaker D: Did you. Did you say 20 points or 30?
[00:12:35] Speaker B: 24.
It was a 30 to hit and 24 points of damage. That's it. Okay. And it is attacked you. It's last action to attack you for a 25.
[00:12:45] Speaker D: Just barely.
[00:12:49] Speaker B: All right. And take 17 damage.
All right.
[00:12:55] Speaker D: You're wel to see it.
[00:12:59] Speaker B: And you're though. Now it is your turn.
[00:13:03] Speaker D: It's so funny that in order to do fire damage I need to hurt myself as the usual.
Sorry, I'm just looking. I'm going to be activating Crimson. Right. I just need to see how much damage I take.
Okay.
You take damage equal to twice your level. Okay. So I'm gonna take 14 damage as I set my Titan steel Sarant ablaze.
Jesus Christ. Okay, so now it does bonus damage, I think equal to number of dice times three.
So six fire bonus danger. So I'm gonna swing with this front.
Let's go, Cousin dice.
[00:14:03] Speaker B: That's a Nat 20i and so as you do this, I will get to your thing. It is going to to attempt to use a reaction on you. Oh, it is going to use a reactive strike and we'll see how things play out.
So it will.
It will roll a 25 to hit you.
[00:14:30] Speaker D: That does hit.
[00:14:31] Speaker B: Unfortunately, because it's not a crit, it won't disrupt your action. So it will still go through.
So yeah, that is a nat 20. So you will I'll pull your card and you can do. You are going to take another 17 damage.
[00:14:49] Speaker D: Great.
[00:14:51] Speaker E: Great.
[00:14:56] Speaker B: Critical hit card slashing.
[00:15:01] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:15:02] Speaker B: All right, the. The card is called flay normal damage, but the target isn't feeble 3 until healed. We won't describe the actual flaying, but if you want to use that, or if you just want straight up double damage.
[00:15:18] Speaker D: I think I'm gonna take double damage for this one.
[00:15:22] Speaker B: It's fair. Go for it.
[00:15:24] Speaker D: So let me just do the math really quick. So that's gonna be 12 plus 5 plus 6. So 17, 23, that's 46 damage.
12 of that being fire.
[00:15:39] Speaker B: Is still stand up.
[00:15:41] Speaker D: Great. Well, Yuri's gonna hit at it again.
Okay, I'm gonna use the first hero point of the session.
[00:15:54] Speaker B: You know, the dice giveth and the dice taketh.
[00:15:59] Speaker D: Then the dice giveth. It's not a nat 20. It is a 19 minus 5.
So that's gonna be a total of 29.
[00:16:09] Speaker B: 29 will hit, not a crit.
[00:16:11] Speaker D: That is going to be 15 slashing six fire. So 21.
And I. I assume this is one that's right in front of me, because that's when I asked attack.
[00:16:25] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:16:27] Speaker D: That's all my actions.
[00:16:30] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
Hi.
And we'll be coming back to the eld and this last one sees what its compatriot is trying to do to le.
So it is going to step up to the plate and attempt to help.
And this one will first actions five foot step, putting it within melee attack of Leith and is going to reach out and attempt to bite Leith for a 24.
That's a miss even when grabbed.
[00:17:08] Speaker E: Okay, so nimble dodge, despite being called dodge, does not have a move tag. So can I use that?
[00:17:16] Speaker B: Yes, you can.
[00:17:17] Speaker C: Nimble wiggle.
[00:17:18] Speaker E: Then it is still a miss.
[00:17:20] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:17:20] Speaker E: Leith sort of does a sensual wiggle in the arms of one of the zombies and avoids the other one's mouth.
She has done before.
[00:17:29] Speaker B: Yep.
And we'll follow up with one more attack.
This one, I think is going to hit with the 29, so bounce me another fortitude. Save.
[00:17:43] Speaker E: 24.
[00:17:48] Speaker B: So take 19 damage and you can kind of start to feel this start to affect you.
You are going to take two poison damage and you are stupefied one for one round.
As the Wraith vine venom starts to seep into your blood.
And hey, now it's your turn.
[00:18:26] Speaker E: Okay, so what do I do to get out of this grab, please?
[00:18:32] Speaker B: You can either make an acrobatics or an athletics or an unarmed Attack.
[00:18:37] Speaker E: I will do the unarmed attack, I believe. Yeah.
31.
[00:18:46] Speaker B: 31.
A hit, but not a crit.
[00:18:52] Speaker E: Okay, does that mean that I'm out or it's like loose or.
[00:18:57] Speaker B: What does that mean for an escape check?
That is you are, I believe, done the escape check. So many times when I remember these success, you get free and remove the grabbed, immobilize and restrain conditions imposed by your chosen target.
[00:19:12] Speaker E: Sweet.
And for my last action, I will go ahead and.
How is the one that grabbed me looking? I mean, he healed a bit.
[00:19:31] Speaker B: He's looking all right.
[00:19:34] Speaker E: Okay, I'll just take a step back.
[00:19:40] Speaker B: Just a five foot step.
[00:19:42] Speaker E: I'm worried that he'll have attack of opportunity and kill me because I currently have three health left.
[00:19:51] Speaker A: So.
[00:19:52] Speaker E: Yeah, just a five foot step.
[00:19:54] Speaker B: Okay, good to know.
So you escaped and then took a step.
So it's two actions and the stupefied one. Right, Stupefied one that doesn't take away an action.
[00:20:13] Speaker C: Oh, is that like stunned? Stupefied.
[00:20:15] Speaker D: Stunned.
[00:20:16] Speaker E: Oh, okay.
[00:20:17] Speaker B: Stupefied means like if you're spell casting and stuff, you.
I have to roll a flat check.
[00:20:22] Speaker E: Okay, cool. Well then from my slight distance, I could just run. Leave these losers where they are, but in. Instead, I will attack with the whip.
Am I doing this at map because I escaped?
[00:20:41] Speaker B: Okay, yes, you would. Because the.
The escape action has the attack trait.
[00:20:48] Speaker E: That's a 23.
[00:20:50] Speaker B: 23. 23. Just barely hits. Nice.
[00:20:57] Speaker E: 16 slashing in precision.
[00:21:02] Speaker B: It is still standing.
[00:21:07] Speaker E: Do any of us have healing capabilities?
[00:21:10] Speaker C: I can make healing potions and I can take care of us after the fight, but this exact second, I can only really heal myself.
[00:21:17] Speaker D: I do have battle medicine and I have ward medic, which means I can do it on two people at the same time.
[00:21:24] Speaker A: I have.
[00:21:24] Speaker C: I can fix you later, but not right now. Unless you want. I don't think healing potions are splash potions, so.
[00:21:31] Speaker B: And you have the healer's gloves?
[00:21:34] Speaker C: I do.
[00:21:34] Speaker E: Oh, I could heal myself.
[00:21:36] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:21:36] Speaker D: You can heal you.
[00:21:38] Speaker E: Oh, I forgot that that was an option. Okay, good to know.
[00:21:42] Speaker C: Lathe only know two things. Stab thing, be gay and lie.
[00:21:48] Speaker B: Yeah, no math, unfortunately.
Got a cleric, so they got to experience that.
[00:21:55] Speaker A: What's that like? What's it like to have a cleric? It's been so long.
[00:21:59] Speaker B: I was dealing like 40 damage to them a hit, and they were just shrugging it off.
[00:22:04] Speaker E: Wow.
[00:22:07] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:22:07] Speaker C: Can't relate.
Anyways, so Niall, the guy that's looking all right. Is he still looking all right?
[00:22:18] Speaker B: The one that's attacking Leith?
[00:22:20] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:22:21] Speaker C: Is he Looking pretty cringe.
[00:22:22] Speaker A: Is he looking?
[00:22:24] Speaker B: He has.
He has not hit bloodied yet.
[00:22:29] Speaker C: Okay. I actually don't like how fucked Leith is right now. And I kind of want to start doing a lot of damage really quickly with the situation that we're in.
Do we have like one hero point to start with? Yes or no?
[00:22:40] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:22:41] Speaker C: All right, puts my hands together. Fourth level ink shot, let's go.
Well, I'm pretty sure a 25 hits because 24 hit last time, right?
Okay, so it'll hit.
[00:23:00] Speaker B: Yes, yes.
I'm going to use a hero point.
[00:23:03] Speaker C: If I have to.
[00:23:04] Speaker B: This one is going to use its reactive strikes to try to hit you.
[00:23:10] Speaker C: Damn. Bro's aiming from a distance, okay.
[00:23:12] Speaker B: He has a reach of 15ft with these tentacles.
[00:23:16] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:23:19] Speaker B: So that is a 34, that's a crit.
So you lose the spell.
[00:23:26] Speaker D: Really?
[00:23:27] Speaker B: Yeah.
And take 32 damage.
[00:23:35] Speaker C: Okay, I'll just give it a sec.
[00:23:42] Speaker A: I guess.
[00:23:43] Speaker C: Leith, I'm sorry, I'm gonna cast shield real quick for my third action because.
[00:23:50] Speaker D: Well, maybe, maybe, maybe take a step back because you use its reaction. It's. But that's its reaction though.
So it used it.
[00:24:02] Speaker C: Yeah, I assume I can't react to the reaction, can I?
[00:24:06] Speaker D: Unless you have a reaction.
[00:24:08] Speaker C: I do have a reaction to react to the reaction. I can react to a reaction.
[00:24:12] Speaker D: What it is, what it is.
[00:24:14] Speaker C: It's blood vendetta. Something makes me bleed. So I can get a second with this.
[00:24:19] Speaker B: So I will let you know. It is bludgeoning damage, which I don't think counts from blood vendetta. No, because it's piercing and slashing.
[00:24:28] Speaker C: Let me double check really quickly because it would be funny.
I think it. It is piercing.
[00:24:34] Speaker A: Oh, damn.
[00:24:34] Speaker C: It would have been so funny. It'd be like a reaction. Hold on, I heard you get reactions.
Okay, I guess I. Can I make any more distance back if I. There's a lot of going on over here. I don't know if taking a step back will really keep me out of.
[00:24:49] Speaker D: Which one attacked? Jesus. Which one attacked?
[00:24:52] Speaker C: That one? So even moving back a little bit, we'll still be in 15ft.
[00:24:56] Speaker D: Jesus. Okay, yeah, this other one did confirm it did have reactive strike. Use it against me so it doesn't have it, but that means this one might.
[00:25:04] Speaker C: Let me check something else really quickly, cuz I didn't write a full description for something, but I mean, if you.
[00:25:11] Speaker D: Take a step back, if you put your snow.
[00:25:14] Speaker B: If you spend an action to take a five foot step, it will not provoke a reaction.
[00:25:21] Speaker D: Yeah, but we're in the corner, Aubrey.
[00:25:26] Speaker B: Five footstep in a direction are these things.
[00:25:30] Speaker C: Do we know if these are immune to fear effects or not?
[00:25:34] Speaker B: You do not.
[00:25:37] Speaker C: I don't want to scare Yuri. He's just a little baby, you know, he's just a little guy.
[00:25:43] Speaker D: If you need to do something, do it.
[00:25:45] Speaker C: I can reveal.
I can reveal schism. And everyone with a 10 foot has to make a save. A will say based on my deception dc and they can become frightened.
[00:25:57] Speaker D: I'm a master of will saves.
[00:25:59] Speaker C: So I mean that does say something hurt me. And at this point, I. I want to see if I can react to do something with these guys. So yeah, I'll. I'll cast true face. And I guess two of these monsters and Yuri have to make a wisdom save or will save this against my deception dc. And my deception is not too bad.
My deception is DC is a 23.
[00:26:28] Speaker D: I got a crit both on the dice and also I had a thing where if I succeed, I get a crit. So I double crit.
[00:26:35] Speaker B: You fear nothing.
[00:26:36] Speaker C: You think it's kind of hard or something? I don't know.
[00:26:39] Speaker B: Two of them succeeded and one failed.
[00:26:43] Speaker C: One of them isn't in range. Actually, this one right here is just out of range. So I hope that's one of the.
[00:26:49] Speaker B: Ones that succeeded then it. It is the one that failed.
They'll become frightened one, because that's how it works.
[00:27:05] Speaker C: But I don't think. I don't really have many spells I can just use for one action that are very useful. Let me check if I got anything I can help you guys with.
[00:27:14] Speaker D: If you stay next to me, I can do battle medicine to us both because I can do it at the same time.
[00:27:19] Speaker C: Yeah, I guess SHIELD is the best bet because I don't know if they're gonna come after me or not is a thing. This guy just decided to hit me because he's an asshole.
[00:27:29] Speaker E: I mean, he decided to hit you because you broke into his house and hit him.
[00:27:34] Speaker A: Yeah, but he's still.
[00:27:35] Speaker B: They live here. This is their environment. This is their habitat.
[00:27:38] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:27:40] Speaker D: Listen, don't get it twisted, okay?
We are the breaking in people.
[00:27:46] Speaker A: That's literally what I said.
[00:27:48] Speaker D: Yeah, no, I'm agreeing with you, but you know, I'm making it funny by saying don't get it twisted like Norden Lion.
[00:27:55] Speaker C: Honestly, I don't like how low my AC is. Just as a squishy little sorcerer, I'm going to actually I can use Quick Alchemy is one action, right? Double check it is just one Action.
[00:28:09] Speaker D: You can make yourself a health potion. That should be good.
[00:28:11] Speaker C: I can make myself something cooler than it. I can make a health potion, I guess.
Yeah, I'll just make a health potion really quickly. Mine are elixir of life and all of Foundry reopened the second I tried to make a fucking.
Yeah, I'll use my third action to make a lick. Serve life and cause Foundry to crash immediately. For me.
That is my turn. Please don't attack me while my game's crashed.
[00:28:48] Speaker B: Okay, that is your turn.
And we'll bring this to the ELD. And. And I do believe they are no longer off guard. And for. For dazzled. Does it go away within around?
[00:29:04] Speaker C: Yeah, it's just one round.
[00:29:05] Speaker B: Okay, so they're no longer dazzled.
So we are going to.
No, they sense the blood in the water. They're going to go after Leif.
They're going to take a step forward and attempt to bite Leith again.
I don't think they're going to be successful because it's only a 17, but they will follow it up with a vine attack.
Unfortunately for a natural 20.
[00:29:41] Speaker A: Don't kill my not fiance. Come on.
[00:29:49] Speaker B: So the card is called to your thinky bits.
You are stupefied too, until heal that you get knocked on the head by these tentacles.
[00:30:00] Speaker E: Jokes on them, I don't think.
[00:30:03] Speaker C: Oh, don't worry, we can tell.
[00:30:10] Speaker B: And that is 40 damage.
[00:30:14] Speaker E: Yeah, so I'm sorry it's been so long since we've played. Does the amount of damage that I take, like matter relative to my total health?
[00:30:24] Speaker A: Once I go down, this is like.
[00:30:25] Speaker B: Double your your health.
[00:30:27] Speaker E: Oh, double.
[00:30:28] Speaker C: But if you go down to a crit, you had started dying two instead of dying one.
[00:30:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:30:32] Speaker C: I'm so sorry.
[00:30:32] Speaker E: Okay, well, I am going to use my reaction to do final spite. So I. As it hits me, I also lash out at it. And then I fall 35 to hit.
[00:30:52] Speaker B: That will also be a crit in return.
[00:30:54] Speaker A: Ha.
[00:30:59] Speaker E: 15.
So doubled would be 30.
[00:31:04] Speaker B: Nice.
They're still standing.
[00:31:09] Speaker E: I am not.
[00:31:14] Speaker C: Skill issue.
[00:31:18] Speaker B: All right, and we'll come to the other L. The one that's standing in front of Yuri. And it is going to start off with a bite attack for 32.
[00:31:34] Speaker D: Not a crit.
[00:31:36] Speaker B: Not a crit. Yeah, give me another 42.
[00:31:38] Speaker A: Save.
[00:31:42] Speaker B: Boundary dice. I really want blood tonight.
[00:31:48] Speaker D: 33.
[00:31:50] Speaker B: 33. You are fine. You. You do not fall to the Wraith. Find venom yet. And that is 19 damage.
We'll follow it up with a tentacle attack.
Yeah. 15 is not going to hit you.
No.
[00:32:08] Speaker D: All Right.
[00:32:10] Speaker B: And it is going to use its parasitic rejuvenation, and that'll bring us to.
[00:32:28] Speaker D: Is that a manipulate action?
[00:32:31] Speaker B: No.
[00:32:33] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:32:33] Speaker B: It is literally just the thing it does naturally.
[00:32:36] Speaker D: Rude. Even though I hit it with fire?
[00:32:38] Speaker B: Even though you hit it with fire. Fire does not turn off the regeneration on this one. The only reason they did before was because you were fighting a troll.
[00:32:47] Speaker E: Hey, Aubrey, just a quick question.
Was that poison I took ongoing damage, or was it just the ones?
[00:32:53] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, it was.
[00:32:55] Speaker E: So, okay, do I up my dying then or not yet?
[00:33:01] Speaker B: Toss me a fortitude save. Because you have to make fortitude saves every time.
[00:33:08] Speaker E: That's a two on the dice for a total of 10.
[00:33:10] Speaker A: Don't you have a hero point?
[00:33:12] Speaker D: Who's a hero point?
[00:33:14] Speaker B: Funny.
[00:33:15] Speaker E: It's funny if she dies here.
Fine, I'll use a hero point.
That's a 19 on the dice. So it's a 27.
[00:33:28] Speaker B: 27.
[00:33:31] Speaker A: Oh, sorry.
[00:33:32] Speaker B: Yeah, you.
You stave it off for one more round so you wouldn't take any more damage from that.
So it's the end of this eld's turn, and we roll into the next turn.
Just a moment, Yuri.
Let's see.
[00:33:57] Speaker D: Swear to God, if that Talus shows up, it's on site.
[00:34:05] Speaker B: So hilarious that you mentioned that.
[00:34:08] Speaker D: No.
[00:34:12] Speaker B: Somewhere off in the distance, a alchemist's fire comes hurtling and hits the ELD that's in the middle, not near anybody, and shatters up, lighting it up.
And all of you see, sort of coming around the bend is this older Tiefling man with this purple skin and sort of this graying hair.
His clothes have seen better days. His hair and beard are incredibly unkempt. But you all notice the broken ram's horns.
He's got a couple of vials in his hands, and he looks at all of you and says, we need to run.
[00:35:08] Speaker C: Is it that ass? Talis?
[00:35:13] Speaker D: You. Yeah, you would know. It's Talis.
[00:35:15] Speaker C: Yeah, no, I. You see, none of those. That. I'm just wanting to be dramatic. I don't like him.
[00:35:21] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:35:23] Speaker C: Wait, didn't we kill you?
[00:35:28] Speaker B: The long story. We can talk about it later.
[00:35:34] Speaker D: I.
Sorry. Yuri, want to make a perception check to make sure that alchemist fire didn't just miss.
[00:35:42] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:35:43] Speaker B: Yeah. Give me. Give me a perception check.
[00:35:46] Speaker D: That's a 19. So it's a 35.
[00:35:49] Speaker B: Yeah, he most definitely meant to hit the eld.
[00:35:54] Speaker D: All right, I'm going to.
Yuri's gonna start just cussing. Not under their breath, just aloud.
And I'm gonna go run to grab Laith. And just like in a more commanding voice. It sounds like a snarl to Niall. Just like, just fucking grunt.
[00:36:19] Speaker C: All right.
[00:36:22] Speaker E: How are you carrying Laith?
Just asking because she's taller than you.
Like significantly, I think.
[00:36:32] Speaker D: Over the shoulder.
[00:36:34] Speaker B: Like a sack of potatoes.
[00:36:36] Speaker D: Yeah.
Yeah.
[00:36:41] Speaker B: Hi.
So, Yuri, are you. You're spending your action to move. We are still in initiative.
[00:36:49] Speaker D: Yes. Spending first action.
Yeah. First action move.
Second action, pick up lace. Third action move.
I will attempt two, three attack of opportunity checks. If I fall. It's also kind of funny.
[00:37:09] Speaker B: I think it's only.
Yes, we're gonna.
Yeah. Unfortunately, there's three of them that you have to run past. And all three of them have their attack about opportunity. Right now.
[00:37:20] Speaker D: It's all three of them do. Okay.
[00:37:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:37:22] Speaker D: Wait.
Okay.
[00:37:23] Speaker B: Before you lock this in. And I'm just like all three of them. Because the last time anyone used one was on Nile's turn. And they've had their turn since.
[00:37:32] Speaker D: What is tree twins?
[00:37:38] Speaker B: Battle medicine is a medicine check.
[00:37:41] Speaker D: I'm just saying it is a manipulate action. So we think it is a man from one person.
I'm okay. I'm attempt to battle medicine check. Which would be on both Nile and I because I have ward medic.
So I could attempt it on both of us.
The expert level check.
Because I'm an expert in medicine.
[00:38:04] Speaker C: I mean, I do have like a minor healing potion you can grab and give to Lathe. I don't know. Spitballing.
[00:38:10] Speaker D: Well, this is for me because if I get hit, I'm down.
[00:38:13] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:38:14] Speaker D: I'm a little more than bloody, let me tell you.
[00:38:16] Speaker C: I mean, take my health potion. Steal from me. I don't need it.
[00:38:19] Speaker A: I'm holding it.
[00:38:20] Speaker D: That's a manipulate action still, right?
[00:38:24] Speaker B: Yeah. Especially because you. You have to spend the action to give the health potion. If. If not, it's like taking something from somebody. If you. If Nile had spin the action to give the health potion, it would not have been considered a manipulate action.
[00:38:39] Speaker D: Do. Do they all have these weird tentacle arms?
[00:38:42] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:38:43] Speaker D: So I know they have a decent range.
[00:38:45] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:38:50] Speaker D: Sorry, I'm just double checking all my.
I forgot I have continual recovery. That's nice.
Yes. I'm gonna attempt a battle medicine check for both Nile. Nice. It's gonna do for both of us. And I continue recovery. So I could do it again in 10 minutes if we live.
[00:39:09] Speaker B: Not for bottom medicine. Battle medicine. You're immune for the entire day. You can do a medicine check. Like the actual like spending 10 minutes do medicine.
[00:39:18] Speaker D: Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:39:21] Speaker B: And it Will attack you.
Well, that's only 22.
[00:39:29] Speaker D: You.
What is the expert level? Where is the.
[00:39:37] Speaker B: The Expert level is 20.
[00:39:39] Speaker D: Oh great. I got sick. I got a 31.
[00:39:46] Speaker B: 31.
That is 13.
[00:39:50] Speaker D: Nice.
[00:39:50] Speaker B: Yes. So.
[00:39:54] Speaker D: Critical success.
So we are both going to get four D8 plus ten. Nile, wait.
[00:40:07] Speaker C: Do you want to roll it?
[00:40:08] Speaker A: Because you did the.
[00:40:09] Speaker C: Did the thing.
[00:40:10] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm rolling it right now.
Five plus six is 11, plus eight is 19, plus five is 23. So we both heal. 33.
[00:40:20] Speaker B: All of my hard work, I'm done.
[00:40:22] Speaker D: Good.
Okay, so that's on both of us.
[00:40:27] Speaker B: Great.
[00:40:28] Speaker D: Now second action.
Run to pick up lathe.
[00:40:32] Speaker B: All right.
Now there will be two attacks of opportunity.
[00:40:36] Speaker D: That's fine.
[00:40:38] Speaker B: You say that now.
[00:40:40] Speaker D: I. I say that every time. And you kill me every time.
[00:40:45] Speaker B: You tempted the dice.
First one was Matt 20.
First one was the best 20.
[00:40:53] Speaker D: Wait, what?
[00:40:55] Speaker B: First one was the best 20. Second one was a 29.
Net 20 for 36. Second one was a 29.
Okay, so I only got once reactive strike.
The strike.
[00:41:09] Speaker D: Stops the action.
Yep.
[00:41:10] Speaker B: The monster disrupts the action.
[00:41:13] Speaker D: So I trip.
[00:41:17] Speaker B: You don't. You just can't move.
[00:41:22] Speaker D: Which one grip me. I want to see their face.
[00:41:26] Speaker B: It's the one on fire.
And it's got. It was now 20, so.
Oh yeah. Actually I'm going to not deal critical damage to do this card.
[00:41:42] Speaker D: Oh great.
[00:41:43] Speaker B: Thank you. This card is called Bone Masher.
And the target is clumsy 2 and takes a 10 foot status penalty to the land speed until healed.
[00:41:55] Speaker D: 10Ft.
[00:41:56] Speaker B: 10Ft.
[00:41:58] Speaker D: Jesus Christ. This thing gets you slow, Aubrey.
Same as Vin Diesel.
How much damage do I take?
[00:42:12] Speaker B: So from the damage from the first attack you take 18. The second attack you take 1937.
[00:42:26] Speaker D: Great.
Well, I'm still.
[00:42:33] Speaker A: That.
[00:42:35] Speaker B: That's good. And I think you have one more action.
[00:42:40] Speaker D: I'm so annoyed.
[00:42:42] Speaker B: You can move again. They cannot attack you. But yeah, there's the minus 10 foot penalty to your move the land speed.
[00:42:52] Speaker D: One second. I just need to double check if my transformation gives me bonus the speed currently does not.
I'm gonna run again. I guess I'm just gonna go. I'm gonna go to where Leith is.
Can I wait? How far away is Leith?
[00:43:16] Speaker E: You can get next to me at 15. What's your speed?
[00:43:20] Speaker D: 25.
[00:43:21] Speaker B: Oh, 15. You can move 15ft.
[00:43:24] Speaker D: All right, well, I'll be moving right there.
Sorry.
Here.
And yeah, I'll move them back now they'll attack me instead of killing you.
[00:43:48] Speaker E: Well, we don't know that. They probably want me. If they want someone to turn into the eld. It should be me. I'd be a much hotter tree person than Yuri would.
[00:43:58] Speaker B: But Yuri already has the horns.
[00:44:01] Speaker D: I do already have the horns.
[00:44:03] Speaker E: But Yuri also has fire, which would be bad for a tree person.
[00:44:07] Speaker B: It's fair.
So it is another one on fire. They're going to take a five foot step closer to Niall and they're going to attempt to bite Nile for their first action.
I don't think a 19 is going to hit.
[00:44:27] Speaker C: Luckily it doesn't. Dusty. I am waiting for that. That healing as well. I didn't see it in the server.
[00:44:32] Speaker D: I told you 33.
[00:44:34] Speaker C: I am Dusty.
[00:44:37] Speaker B: Didn't roll it in the server.
[00:44:38] Speaker C: I'm like, wow. I'm watching the server as my brain ignores everything coming out of your mouth.
[00:44:43] Speaker D: No, I. I roll dice. I don't use the thing because foundry is worse to me than my dice. Believe it or not.
[00:44:51] Speaker C: That's literally the damage amount that I took. That is so funny.
[00:44:56] Speaker B: And so it misses you with its bite attack and then it's going to attack you with its tentacles for a 21.
[00:45:05] Speaker C: My AC is 22.
[00:45:07] Speaker A: Let's go.
[00:45:11] Speaker B: And we'll be back to the top of the round with lathe. Laith. Give me a death safe.
[00:45:18] Speaker E: Yeah.
What is that?
[00:45:22] Speaker B: It is a.
A flat D10 versus your.
[00:45:30] Speaker D: D20.
[00:45:31] Speaker B: Yeah. D20.
[00:45:33] Speaker E: Oh.
[00:45:33] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:45:35] Speaker E: That was a nine.
[00:45:37] Speaker D: Oh no.
[00:45:39] Speaker B: So, yeah. Welcome. Welcome to Dying 3.
[00:45:43] Speaker E: Am I still taking poison damage or did I like.
[00:45:47] Speaker B: You have.
I'm going to need you to.
[00:45:51] Speaker A: Has it been an hour yet? Do we have another hero point?
[00:45:56] Speaker B: Almost for an hour. But you actually did succeed on your poison save. So you. You. You're not taking any more damage from that.
[00:46:02] Speaker A: Boo.
[00:46:03] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:46:04] Speaker A: Back trying to die.
[00:46:06] Speaker B: And also I will. We haven't used this in a while. But you can can turn in all of your hero points to immediately stabilize.
[00:46:15] Speaker A: I'm good.
[00:46:16] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:46:18] Speaker A: Ah.
[00:46:19] Speaker C: You just like giving us heart attacks. You.
[00:46:21] Speaker B: Nile. It's not your turn.
[00:46:23] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:46:25] Speaker C: I'm trying to think because these guys got their reactions back, right?
[00:46:30] Speaker B: The one that's on fire in front of you did. Yes. But the others do not.
[00:46:39] Speaker C: I have. I have an escape route, but I'm kind of thinking I have a very high chance of getting crit again. And then my action gets interrupted.
I'm gonna go with my first option and I'm gonna try using my second focus slot for wall crawler.
Do I get attacked, Aubrey?
[00:47:03] Speaker B: Yes, you will get attacked.
[00:47:05] Speaker C: Please just don't Crit me, man.
[00:47:10] Speaker B: A24. I don't think that crits that hits.
[00:47:13] Speaker C: But that doesn't crit.
[00:47:17] Speaker B: Take 13 damage.
[00:47:20] Speaker C: Not the best.
Can I take 11 damage instead because of my health will be 69 and it's funnier.
[00:47:28] Speaker B: No, take 13.
[00:47:31] Speaker C: Aubrey just doesn't like fun in this house. I get the wall crawler off my action though, and I will take it.
[00:47:35] Speaker B: Yes, you can.
[00:47:36] Speaker C: And they can't do more than one attack of opportunity. I fucking hope so.
This lasts until the end of my next turn where I can just kind of crawl on walls.
I'm gonna. I'm sorry, I'm gonna be going off of the map a little bit for the sake of I am on the way wall.
[00:47:59] Speaker B: Right. But yeah, you move 25ft.
[00:48:02] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm on the wall at distance. I'm. I'm like, okay, I'm like, I'm going to put myself in a weird position, but please, I am on the wall. But up here, I'm like up on the wall. I'm away from the problem, you know, I'm out of range legally.
[00:48:17] Speaker B: And you are aware at the beginning of your next turn, you will no longer have it.
[00:48:21] Speaker C: End of my next turn.
[00:48:24] Speaker B: Okay, I need. I need to update that.
[00:48:27] Speaker C: Is it supposed to be beginning of my next turn?
[00:48:29] Speaker B: It's supposed to be the beginning of your next turn.
[00:48:32] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:48:35] Speaker C: We'Ll update that later, I hope. Because I did spend like 5, 10 minutes playing this.
[00:48:39] Speaker A: Please, please.
[00:48:42] Speaker C: It's okay. Next, next time.
[00:48:45] Speaker B: You could also probably get all the way to the other side of where Leith is.
[00:48:50] Speaker C: No, I'll be an attack of opportunity range.
[00:48:52] Speaker B: They haven't had their turns yet.
[00:48:55] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:48:55] Speaker D: I mean, they used them all on me.
[00:48:58] Speaker C: Yeah, okay. Honestly, I'll just do that then. And I just edit the sheet.
Get the out of here.
[00:49:09] Speaker B: Why?
Your turn. And just the end of your turn. So it'll be the L, the one that's in front of Yuri and yeah, we're gonna. We're gonna start with a tentacle attack.
Well, 19 won't hit, so let's try it one more time.
Nope, even worse this time.
So crit fishing time.
[00:49:42] Speaker D: Was it? The critical fail was.
[00:49:46] Speaker B: Was a 16.
[00:49:47] Speaker D: It wasn't the critical fail.
[00:49:49] Speaker B: This one's an 11 though. So I think that one is a critical fail.
[00:49:51] Speaker D: That's a critical fail.
[00:49:53] Speaker B: Yeah.
They don't get a card though, because it's not a one.
[00:49:58] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:50:00] Speaker B: Just in case you had anything you could use on a critical fail.
[00:50:07] Speaker D: I call it a punk ass.
That's it.
That's a. That's a free.
[00:50:14] Speaker B: Unfortunately, it doesn't do anything to them because they, unfortunately, do not speak your language.
[00:50:19] Speaker D: That's. That's fair. They do understand that, though, deep at their core.
[00:50:23] Speaker B: Of course.
[00:50:23] Speaker D: Of course transcend language.
[00:50:26] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:50:28] Speaker D: Or lack thereof.
[00:50:31] Speaker B: All right, we've got this other one. They're gonna spend one action to sort of move in tandem with their buddies, and Yuri gonna come at you with tentacle attack.
Jesus christ.
That's another net 20.
[00:50:52] Speaker D: Fuck me up, fam me up.
[00:51:00] Speaker B: So this one is called Skull Crush.
Target is stupid. 5, 3 until healed.
[00:51:09] Speaker A: Cool.
[00:51:09] Speaker B: To be fair, stupefied. I don't think does anything for you, because you don't cast spells.
[00:51:15] Speaker D: Let me just add that to my conditions.
[00:51:19] Speaker B: Yeah, that's 36 damage.
[00:51:23] Speaker D: Jesus fucking Christ. Your boys down.
I mean, that was a crit, psycho. The dying, too.
[00:51:35] Speaker A: Jesus Christ.
[00:51:36] Speaker C: Am I the only one that's standing right now? Oh, my.
[00:51:40] Speaker D: You're on the wall. You're climbing.
[00:51:42] Speaker C: I had to get off the wall because that's a beginning of my next turn thing, so. Jesus Christ.
[00:51:47] Speaker A: I.
[00:51:48] Speaker C: All right.
[00:51:49] Speaker D: I don't see how this is surprising. To be fair, I'll be through three of the things I almost killed me last time, so.
Sorry. The time before last?
[00:51:58] Speaker B: Yeah, I was like, half the party, too.
[00:52:02] Speaker A: Yeah.
They're like, none of the healing below you.
[00:52:05] Speaker B: They're like level five things. I was like, wow, this is something.
But luckily, you have a friend.
[00:52:16] Speaker D: Let's not get. Let's not get too far, Aubrey.
[00:52:19] Speaker B: Their friend, a person we will kill.
[00:52:22] Speaker C: At a later time.
[00:52:24] Speaker D: This is true.
[00:52:25] Speaker B: It is.
It is now Talis's turn. And Talus is going to pull a vial off of his belt. And he watches his first action, uses this to whip up a potion of some kind, and then also uses a free action to do something else and go.
Creates this.
This sort of sphere of what appears to be some sort of potion and is going to throw it at all of you.
He's made a healing bomb.
[00:53:01] Speaker E: Does it heal me or does it hurt me or does it not affect me?
[00:53:05] Speaker B: It counts as a potion. It's alchemical, so it's alchemical, so it counts as a potion. So it will heal you.
So. Yeah, let me roll that.
Not as much because it's meant to hit multiple people, but that's gonna be enough to get people back on their feet.
Actually, that's not bad. I rolled pretty well in all the dice.
So that is 14 healing back to both Yuri and Leith.
All right, and then we'll spend his last action to quick Bomber and throw a Another alchemist fire at the Eld and takes one out as the one that is directly in front of you. Yuri erupts into flame.
[00:54:05] Speaker D: Let me tell you, I was about to clap, but I'm not, because.
Thank you, I guess.
[00:54:13] Speaker B: And that is his turn.
Bring us to Yuri.
[00:54:21] Speaker D: Okay. They don't have their reactions.
[00:54:25] Speaker B: They do not.
[00:54:29] Speaker D: All right, let's go back to plan one. Step one, stand up. Step two, pick up lathe.
[00:54:34] Speaker B: You've been healed, so you no longer have clumsy or the movement.
The movement speed penalty.
[00:54:41] Speaker D: Great. Actually step two, get lace up because they're faster than me.
Step three.
Yeah, I'll run. Yeah, I'll run.
Fair, fair, fair.
[00:54:56] Speaker B: It's probably a good idea.
[00:54:59] Speaker D: I'm going to run up to where Tallis is and almost like spitting in their direction, saying, we're gonna talk soon.
[00:55:08] Speaker B: I don't doubt it. He says, sort of just like, come on, we gotta get out of here.
[00:55:17] Speaker D: Does my dying go down by one.
[00:55:21] Speaker B: Goes away. You are wounded too.
[00:55:24] Speaker D: Wounded, that's right.
[00:55:25] Speaker B: Or. Yes.
No, just wounded one.
[00:55:31] Speaker D: Or was that dying too, though?
[00:55:33] Speaker B: Yeah, but dying and wounded don't like, aren't one for one.
[00:55:38] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:55:39] Speaker B: I think since we just dealt with death.
[00:55:44] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:55:47] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:55:47] Speaker D: The important thing is that Leith is on their feet.
[00:55:53] Speaker B: Yeah, that's on my feet.
[00:55:54] Speaker D: Yeah, it's on my actions.
[00:56:01] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah, that'll bring us to the one that's on fire.
Oh, yeah, it needs to.
Oh, it needed to let me do that. See if it.
[00:56:17] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:56:19] Speaker A: Did not.
[00:56:21] Speaker B: Yeah, cool.
I had very low health, so I was trying to see if I forgot to roll persistent damage for it last time.
So it is its turn. And.
Oh, yeah, it doesn't have that great.
Surprisingly, they don't have great movement speed.
So they are going to spend an action to.
[00:56:49] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:56:50] Speaker B: Move behind le.
And they are going to.
[00:56:56] Speaker D: We're gonna.
[00:56:57] Speaker B: We're gonna go ahead with some tentacle strikes.
Well, that's a 21, which I don't think hits.
[00:57:06] Speaker E: Does not hit.
[00:57:08] Speaker B: All right, And I'm gonna try one more time.
And that is a 22.
[00:57:14] Speaker E: Also does not hit.
[00:57:18] Speaker B: And they continue to be on fire.
So I'm gonna need to do that again.
Roll recovery check.
They do not recover. They're still on fire.
And that'll bring us to the top of the round with Leith's turn.
[00:57:38] Speaker E: Can I push Nile out of range? And it doesn't count for attacks of opportunity.
[00:57:45] Speaker B: So. Yeah, you could forcibly move Nile. Yes.
[00:57:51] Speaker A: Great.
[00:57:51] Speaker E: I will do that for an action moving Nile. Like, just shoving Niall away towards Yuri.
[00:58:02] Speaker B: Niall do you want this to happen?
[00:58:06] Speaker C: I will consent to being shoved by attractive women.
[00:58:10] Speaker B: Okay. You are moved five feet.
[00:58:14] Speaker E: Then I will step 20ft and then I will move my full 40ft, just keeping going down this tunnel the talus came from.
[00:58:30] Speaker C: Right.
[00:58:30] Speaker B: As you all break off and leave the elm behind.
Give me either a.
Give me a.
An athletics or a survival check.
[00:58:45] Speaker E: 27 athletics.
[00:58:47] Speaker B: 27. All of you. All three of you.
We are sort of leaving.
Okay.
Niall.
[00:58:57] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:58:57] Speaker C: I think the plan is to get the fuck out of here. So I would like to follow the plan.
[00:59:01] Speaker B: I either need an athletics or a survival check to run.
[00:59:07] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:59:07] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:59:08] Speaker C: Oh, no. I'm bad at those.
[00:59:12] Speaker D: Buddy.
[00:59:14] Speaker C: I'm okay at surviving, I guess.
Yeah.
[00:59:18] Speaker B: This is like, are you either moving quickly, quickly or are you moving smart?
[00:59:23] Speaker C: Well, I'm definitely not moving quickly. Let's see if I move smartly. That's a 20. I'm pretty smart.
I'm decently smart.
Let's get the fuck out of here. It's. This gives them autopilot. You know this. I'm out.
[00:59:42] Speaker B: Two of you are moving quickly. One of you is moving smartly in a way that like, avoids any hazards that might trip you up.
And Tallis is sort of leading the way.
And it does not take long before you see this ruined mansion.
And surrounding this mansion are these sort of ever burning.
It's hard to call them torches, but they seem to be like this sort of ever burning something on a stake that sort of surrounding the mansion, sort of creating a bit of a perimeter.
He sort of crosses and runs to the like throws open the door and sort of like gestures you all to go inside. Do you go inside?
[01:00:32] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm going to motion for no, I'll go in first, actually. I'll go in first.
[01:00:38] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:00:40] Speaker C: I think if you wanted to see dead, he would have just left us. At least he has something that he needs us for that he's not going to kill us for immediately. I think so. Why not?
[01:00:48] Speaker E: If I'm going to die, I'd rather do it in a manner than out in the cold.
[01:00:54] Speaker C: Now.
[01:00:57] Speaker B: Say you all run in and the door is slammed behind you. Hallotte, there's a commotion downstairs.
[01:01:05] Speaker D: Oh, okay.
[01:01:08] Speaker A: Well, that probably means.
Probably means Talis, I guess at this point possibly with a problem.
[01:01:18] Speaker D: If we want to make it more clear. As soon as everyone's in, Yuri's gonna grab Talus by the throat and stand him against the wall and is like, what the are you doing here?
[01:01:29] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a very long story that I could probably tell you do a little bit better if I could breathe.
[01:01:38] Speaker C: 10 words or less.
[01:01:40] Speaker D: Are you alive?
[01:01:43] Speaker B: Like, they pull down their shirt a little bit and you can kind of see this mechanism that is encasing their heart. This sort of clockwork device. I say fail safe.
[01:01:59] Speaker D: Yuri's eyes are just.
If not literally on fire.
It could be like that.
I. Then they're just gonna like say, where's Alouette?
[01:02:16] Speaker B: She is upstairs, currently resting.
[01:02:21] Speaker D: I'm going to hold them in place and look at lathe and motion them to go check.
[01:02:28] Speaker E: Yeah. Laith moves towards the stairs. Staggers a little bit because she is still not looking great.
[01:02:35] Speaker A: I think you meet Alouette halfway there. Who has come to see what the noise is and whether or not this means there's like zombies coming in through the door or something.
[01:02:45] Speaker E: Yeah. I mean, ignoring the fact that you are bird hybrid, Laith, I think sort of runs into you almost and is like hands on your cheek, on your neck, making sure that you're real.
Lex.
[01:03:04] Speaker A: What are you doing here?
[01:03:09] Speaker E: We came for you, of course.
[01:03:14] Speaker A: You look wretched. You should not have done that. What?
Yuri also.
Where is everyone else then?
[01:03:25] Speaker C: Well, I'm right here.
[01:03:28] Speaker A: Hello.
[01:03:30] Speaker B: Hi.
[01:03:33] Speaker D: I.
I think Yuri is still holding Talus there.
[01:03:38] Speaker A: Yeah. You can hear. Let go.
[01:03:42] Speaker D: They look.
Let go of Talus.
[01:03:49] Speaker A: He deserves it. Don't worry.
[01:03:59] Speaker D: We'll talk at. At Thalis. We'll talk and I'm gonna go to Lou.
[01:04:05] Speaker B: Imagine. We will.
[01:04:06] Speaker A: Well, if it is.
You all look terrible. But the other. Where are the other three? Are they all right?
Other two? I can count. Wait. How many people are in our group?
[01:04:16] Speaker C: Hold on, wait. I'm the third one.
[01:04:18] Speaker A: I'm the sixth one. Okay. No, it's fine.
The other two, they.
[01:04:24] Speaker D: There's a lot happening up top, so we went down. They are dealing with stuff up there.
[01:04:34] Speaker A: So they are right. Okay.
[01:04:36] Speaker D: Yes. There's a lot of elves down here.
[01:04:39] Speaker A: Yes, there's a lot of.
There's quite a few monsters down here. And just like direct eye contact with Talus.
[01:04:50] Speaker B: Yeah. You hear the sort of cawing of a bird coming from further into the mansion.
[01:05:00] Speaker A: Did.
Did you get my message I sent to Kregwi?
[01:05:06] Speaker D: Vaguely.
I don't know why you said to not come help me.
[01:05:13] Speaker A: Because I was fine and. And everything was not fine up. Up in the city. So I figured I am not in danger of dying like you were. So no need to rush on my account.
I'd been having a heart to heart with my mother.
She's very good at flying to swoop people away. And not great at the reverse.
[01:05:47] Speaker D: Oh, did I shoot your mouth?
[01:05:49] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:05:50] Speaker D: Here. He says, like, face, like looking like. Oh, shit.
[01:05:56] Speaker A: It's all right. I don't think she holds grudges.
Technically, I helped kill her once upon a time.
Well, come in all the way. It isn't much, but it certainly held free for the moment.
Did you come with a.
An exit plan or is it just a one way sort of trip? Which is fine. I'm getting used to those. But, you know.
[01:06:26] Speaker D: I believe they're working on some kind of lift right now. Juniper and.
[01:06:33] Speaker A: Oops.
[01:06:33] Speaker D: God, what is. Tristan's. Not Tristan. Name.
[01:06:38] Speaker B: Yellow Jacket.
You're gonna be like, what's Tristan's name? I'm like, for real?
[01:06:45] Speaker D: Tristan and Yellow Jacket. Sorry.
Juniper and Yellow Jacket are working on some.
[01:06:52] Speaker C: Isn't Rook helping too? Question mark says graveling from the background.
[01:06:57] Speaker A: The spirit of graveling upon us is.
[01:07:01] Speaker C: Graveling in the group chat with us.
[01:07:05] Speaker A: Sometimes I can still hear her voice.
[01:07:08] Speaker C: If only she could see us now.
[01:07:11] Speaker B: I'm sure she'd be very disappointed.
[01:07:13] Speaker C: Yeah, she'd be so disappointed.
[01:07:18] Speaker A: But yeah, Lou will start to lead you upstairs and then remember that there's a giant bird up there.
Maybe we don't meet some other. Right now, there's a sitting room that is not completely fallen into decrepit decay.
It's still got chairs, which is great.
And exploring the manor. It is interesting.
I would be so interested to know what has been going on since.
How long has it been, Aubrey? One day. One day. One single day in that single day.
Because it sounds like a lot.
[01:08:06] Speaker D: Yeah, it is.
[01:08:08] Speaker A: I.
[01:08:11] Speaker D: Yuri coughs up a little blood.
I think we need to patch up first.
[01:08:18] Speaker A: Well, fortunately for you, I have almost all of my things, more or less.
So let me just dig out the chalice and give it a little shaky shake and I'll do so I'll give you. I'll give you a little chow sips here.
Who looks worse of the three of them?
[01:08:41] Speaker C: Not me. I'm feeling very fine.
[01:08:43] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm going to not so subtly push Laith towards you.
[01:08:50] Speaker C: I also push Laith on the other side.
We're pushing her together, you know.
[01:08:56] Speaker A: Okay, then I will get poor. I'll like.
She's like, in weird hostess mode, which is probably a little disconcerting. But, like, that's just. That's just what she fell into here.
And so she's like, getting out like, sherry glasses and pouring like, the chalice into them into like three little sips.
So everyone gets to Have a little sip.
And then. And then she's gonna give Laythe the like the whole chalice to drain it, which is different. Now, where is my boosty boost?
I'll figure out the thing in a hot minute. I can't find it right now, but I know it's more. I just. It's not in here for some reason.
Why did it anyway? Okay. Sorry. I. I boosted. I boosted the thing and it's. It's not.
[01:09:59] Speaker B: Yeah. I feel like you spend about an hour or so recuperating to get back to full health with. Especially with the chalice and any first aid.
Talus will also give you some elixirs of life.
[01:10:16] Speaker A: He's gonna get that.
[01:10:20] Speaker C: Can I get my party Elixirs of life? Yes, much better offers like the better elixir of life. And everyone's like, nah. I'm like, here's a lesser elixir of life. And you're just like, that's the shit that tastes good.
[01:10:35] Speaker E: Elixir.
[01:10:36] Speaker A: How dare you. I was gonna gaily patch your wounds. What's wrong with you?
[01:10:43] Speaker E: What's wrong with me is that I was at 14. Alan Leith as an opportunist.
[01:10:50] Speaker B: The fiance's are fighting.
[01:10:52] Speaker A: That's right.
[01:10:53] Speaker D: As usual.
I would say after Yuri gets healed, I want to like go over to talk to Lou. I do actually want to give Lua hug as you're in. It's just like, I'm glad you're okay. I don't know what the fuck is happening, but.
[01:11:12] Speaker A: You get a hug back. It is not as warm as usual, but you know what, A lot's happened.
[01:11:24] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah.
Yuri knows that this time.
[01:11:28] Speaker A: So yeah.
[01:11:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:11:32] Speaker A: And.
[01:11:35] Speaker C: Lou will.
[01:11:40] Speaker A: Will probably just like give you after like everyone's all healed up and like the hug has been exchanged.
We'll probably like sit down and say.
All right, so this is the long and short of it.
Thadis is alive. My mother is alive, but a bird.
And not a pretty normal bird, but a big one with eight people, you know, and also they are together.
And also they cheated on my father.
And also Talis's potion is the one that transformed her into a bird. But apparently according to him. Take this as you will.
He was not the one to do it. My father did that to him. So that is what I know.
What do you. What has happened?
You fell into a hole. That's a spawn.
[01:12:45] Speaker D: Yuri is processing everything very slowly, very visibly on their face, like going through all grief. I think.
[01:13:04] Speaker A: It'S fun.
[01:13:05] Speaker D: Okay, well, frankly, we tried to figure out how to get down here as fast as possible while letting Grave Wing.
[01:13:19] Speaker A: And.
[01:13:22] Speaker D: Graveling and Lorelei and that crew is figuring out where their sister was as well as their brother. The one that I really want to punch in the face. But legally I'm not going to do it in front of Gravelink.
Do it behind Gravelink's back.
[01:13:44] Speaker A: By the way, if Talis were here for this part of the conversation. No, he's not. Lou would banish him.
[01:13:51] Speaker B: He has gone off to.
[01:13:52] Speaker C: We would kick him right out.
[01:13:53] Speaker B: Making sure that things are safe and check in on eloquence.
[01:13:57] Speaker A: Yeah.
Lou is so bossy to this man.
[01:14:02] Speaker D: Good.
[01:14:05] Speaker A: Good. That is. That is what I hoped that.
That. That she would do.
So we. We split the group. Which is.
Seems to be working out for once.
Wonderful. So now we just have to wait for.
Well, okay. So it might be a little complicated because technically I feel obligated to help assist to see that the goal of turning my mother out of bird form is met. Which does involve seeking some sort of agreement with Tariff, who is also trying to do that.
[01:14:51] Speaker C: A problem.
[01:14:54] Speaker A: But you know, that does not have to be now. She's. She can fly. She can get herself at the hole if she wants to. That's not really necessarily my problem. If you have an accident plan, you know, you.
[01:15:10] Speaker D: You're telling me and you believe this and I'm trusting you that you do believe this. That Dallas believes he could get eloquence out of this form.
[01:15:24] Speaker E: Well.
[01:15:27] Speaker A: That is what he says.
And I certainly know that he is good at what he does.
I don't.
Unfortunately.
He makes the worst sort of faces towards my mother, even as a bird. And it is gross. But.
[01:15:52] Speaker D: That'S. Honestly. That may be the worst part right now.
[01:15:56] Speaker A: It is like.
[01:15:57] Speaker D: I'm also. I'm sorry, Barry, but Dallas, I.
[01:16:05] Speaker A: The one thing I cannot do is ask her what in the hell she was thinking.
She cannot speak right now.
I don't know how cognizant she is.
[01:16:19] Speaker D: If it helps eloquence, I will be.
I'll help. While we wait for this worst case, I'll kill Talos again.
[01:16:32] Speaker A: That would be not the worst case, actually.
So don't make promises you can't keep it, cousin.
[01:16:42] Speaker D: I'm trying. I'm trying.
[01:16:45] Speaker A: But until then we have.
I suppose this is the worst place we have stayed so far, right?
But could be worse than it is. At least it is still a manner of sorts.
[01:17:00] Speaker B: Very true.
[01:17:01] Speaker A: Any questions? You two have been quiet and. Looks like Niall and Laith.
[01:17:07] Speaker E: We were giving you space for Cousin talks.
[01:17:11] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:17:11] Speaker C: I thought you would kick everyone out. I was like, dang, you're just gonna call me cousins? Okay.
[01:17:16] Speaker A: No, no, just tell us.
[01:17:19] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:17:20] Speaker A: He's banished from the space. Everybody else can stay.
[01:17:26] Speaker C: So I don't trust any of these people as far as I can throw them. I've been trying to think of how exactly I'm going to cook lunch for everyone because there's no working kitchen. That is true.
I have some ideas.
[01:17:39] Speaker A: But.
[01:17:41] Speaker C: Right now, what is Talos trying to do? Do you know?
[01:17:46] Speaker A: Yes. Zara is a historical society somewhere in this district that has collapsed along with everything else.
Apparently for some reason he has a notebook in there that has been in there for a very long time, but allegedly holds the answers that he is seeking.
He just cannot get to it because of Eld.
[01:18:10] Speaker C: What answers?
[01:18:13] Speaker A: Something about the formula to turn my mother back into a person.
[01:18:24] Speaker C: So he says, do you want your mother to be turned back into a person?
[01:18:28] Speaker A: It would be preferable to being a bird. Yes.
You can get information from her that I cannot get when she is a bird.
You know, like, where has she been?
And why.
[01:18:44] Speaker B: Why he? Why him?
[01:18:46] Speaker A: Why him so unpleasant.
[01:18:51] Speaker C: Well, I suppose if you want your mother back to a normal form.
I don't think we need Talus at all. Only to know where the book is. We have our own very competent alchemists ourselves that we can have to solve this problem.
[01:19:09] Speaker A: Do we?
[01:19:11] Speaker C: I character. Don't we have one that solved the ghoul problem?
[01:19:16] Speaker D: Well, this isn't a ghoul problem.
This is. This is a curse problem.
[01:19:22] Speaker A: And also not is not physically present right now.
[01:19:25] Speaker C: Yeah, honestly, I was thinking we could probably just take all this back and have our various network deal with it. I don't trust Alice. I think it's not a good idea.
[01:19:34] Speaker D: Taking it back means we need to go get it.
[01:19:38] Speaker C: Yeah, well, can my thoughts currently is this. This is going to sound a little bit mean and I'm very sorry that this is a little bit mean, but we work with Talos as far as he takes us to where we get it. And then we put him in a position where he actually dies. And this time I can eat him so he stays dead.
How is his heart gonna bring anything back if all this flesh is digesting in my stomach slowly like a rot?
Honestly, he wouldn't taste very good.
[01:20:05] Speaker A: But it is worth pointing out you would not know this because I have not said it. But according to Talis, he was.
[01:20:18] Speaker B: Being.
[01:20:20] Speaker A: Lured by the tyrant.
I am interested in asking him some more questions about that. Specifically. But according to him he is turned away and trying to make amends.
I don't think it is possible the Mega Mans for setting a ghoul population on the general populace. But it is worth pointing out that the. The tire seems to have some sort of control over people. I don't think this absorbs in any way mind you. But it is an interesting phenomenon that could be worth looking into. For some reason there may be others who are perhaps being similarly swayed that can be swayed back perhaps.
[01:21:17] Speaker C: I do want to learn about this influence of the tyrant. But if he's so easily swayed and if we're the one that had to fix the goal problem and that wasn't considered something he was interested in atoning a fix fixing. I don't really trust him. I. I'm sorry. This is actually very harsh to say, but.
[01:21:32] Speaker A: No, no. I. I am so with you.
I have said many a hashwa to him.
[01:21:38] Speaker C: Did you call him a B word?
[01:21:41] Speaker A: Not no. But I did say Too bad you did not stay dead.
[01:21:46] Speaker C: That's very cool.
[01:21:48] Speaker A: That's kind of cool. Morses is fading rapidly the more I get the to know him as a person. I felt real bad about it at.
[01:21:55] Speaker C: First, but I shouldn't have remorse is trying to fix the problems that you started and we had to fix his problems repeatedly. I don't think he actually feels remorse. I just think he's trying to fix things that he has been coming convenient.
Trust me. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of stuff that he'd really do in order to actually fix things. I. I don't like him. I.
[01:22:22] Speaker A: Cheers your glass with mine.
[01:22:24] Speaker E: I mean, at what point is he saying that he broke away after his.
[01:22:29] Speaker A: Death.
[01:22:31] Speaker E: Or before that?
[01:22:33] Speaker A: That is a good question. Perhaps we should go ask him.
He has been absent for most of my visit so I have not been able to talk to him as much as I would like.
But you have been good at getting answers out of people in the past. So perhaps he will be more forthcoming to you.
[01:22:57] Speaker C: But Lou, I would like to warn you. If Talus says anything that could indicate any sort of betrayal at all. I understand getting this book and saving your mob is important. But if he puts the jeopardy of this party a group in any way, I'm going to eat him without hesitation and there will be nothing left of him. And I'll do everything in my power to get that book and find someone more competent to help. Okay?
[01:23:20] Speaker A: Please.
He's not someone I am going to miss.
He is simply the person my mother cheated on my father with.
[01:23:30] Speaker C: Wait, then how do you know that your dad is your dad and Talus isn't your dad?
[01:23:38] Speaker D: Yuri's like, non nonon.
I already hate Barry enough.
I don't want to be related to Dallas.
[01:23:52] Speaker C: I mean. Wait, does. Does Lou look more like Talus did look more like.
I mean, I don't think Niall's seen the other dad, the actual dad. This is like a shot in the dark here. This is true.
[01:24:06] Speaker A: And you know what?
Talos is a Tiefling.
[01:24:10] Speaker B: Tiefling who is purple and has ram's horns.
[01:24:14] Speaker C: Wait, is Talos her dad?
[01:24:18] Speaker A: I don't know.
[01:24:19] Speaker B: Man unknown.
[01:24:21] Speaker C: Hold on, hold on.
[01:24:22] Speaker A: How.
What?
[01:24:25] Speaker D: Niall.
Not right now.
[01:24:29] Speaker B: Niall, get a pundit squares.
[01:24:31] Speaker C: The Nile is just putting their hands on their heads. Like, I.
I have to know.
[01:24:39] Speaker D: Not right now. This is truly not the time for this.
[01:24:44] Speaker C: Okay.
Anyways, I'm going to find some way to make us some lunch. I would normally offer some options, but there's no stove, no stuff sink, no kitchen, no nothing. So whatever I can spoon together with this magic spoon trinket of mine and the rations that we have in my secret spice pouch, and I open my bag and there's like a pouch of little spices is what you get.
[01:25:12] Speaker B: Well, certainly sounds like you all have some plans in store. And we'll fear more about those.
[01:25:20] Speaker A: Talk to L. Fast before you end the upper episode, because I sent after Niall leaves and with some encouragement to have Yuri go help help Niall before chaos ensues.
Lou's going to ask le to wait a minute.
[01:25:42] Speaker E: Yeah, she will.
[01:25:48] Speaker A: You.
I was surprised and pleased to find you had made the track down here.
[01:25:56] Speaker E: You were surprised?
[01:25:59] Speaker A: Well, you know, there was a few moments at the masquerade when you seemed distracted.
True, we had the mission, but even vital standards, one might think that the destruction was unwarranted.
It doesn't look like much now, but it was very nice then. Does it not gives like a gesture to like the just ripped and ragged dress that is still barely hanging on?
[01:26:33] Speaker E: I think Leith goes to brush with past it, not dig into it, and then stops herself and instead asks, what exactly are you talking about?
[01:26:56] Speaker A: Alouette.
Alouette will move closer.
I think that there has been one too many terrible disasters and close calls to let things continue to linger unspoken and unacted upon.
[01:27:27] Speaker E: What would you like to say then?
[01:27:34] Speaker A: You know, I have never really been not as good with words, have I?
An Alouette is going to kiss you.
Yes.
[01:27:45] Speaker C: I assume platonically, given everything that's happened. Right?
[01:27:48] Speaker A: Yes, a platonic kiss on the lips with tongue.
[01:27:54] Speaker E: Sure, yeah. I mean, I think that Leith will lean into it and cling a little bit once it's over and say.
[01:28:15] Speaker A: Is this.
[01:28:18] Speaker E: Would you.
Never mind.
And we'll kiss you again.
[01:28:28] Speaker A: Yeah.
That's all I wanted to do.
[01:28:33] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, Tick, would you like your job back?
[01:28:42] Speaker C: Oh, my God. I'm being hired again. Thank you. Wait, who took my job before?
[01:28:49] Speaker A: Yay.

And remember, no problem is too big to consume, including family members that are very toxic. Just eat them, cook them, you know.
[01:29:15] Speaker A: Roast, like Monday night.
I can feel it now.
[01:29:21] Speaker B: It haunts me.
[01:29:22] Speaker A: All these demons out in this red light.
It calls me.
He is reaching out, consuming.
And we must face it again.
Hall.
