[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam Waking up dreaming dark so long I cannot find meaning hold my hand Let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all the these demons always roam me in this red light because me he is reaching out consuming.
[00:01:30] Speaker B: Hello, everybody. Welcome back to Goblins and Gaze. I'm Aubrey, your gm. I'll also my players introduce themselves, who they are, they're playing and then we'll get rolling into things.
[00:01:39] Speaker A: Hello, I am Faris. She her and I play Alouet Valer. Also she her a Bic th beast kin doing her best while juggling a family curse, falling in love, and of course, the end of the world.
[00:01:53] Speaker C: Hello, I'm Dusty. I use they, he pronouns. Name playing Eu.
Formerly Moran, still a problem.
Just angrier now. They are blood hunter Nephilim problem.
Just.
Just trying to fix things, even though it's all bad. They also use they he pronouns.
[00:02:18] Speaker D: Hi, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play Laith Idrisi, the fourth Dampier Dandy rogue, failed matricide with a negative one constitution modifier. Leith uses she. Any pronouns?
[00:02:31] Speaker E: Hi, I'm Tick. I use he, she, they pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, who uses he, they pronouns. He cooks, he cleans, he eats people, and has an alien parasite living in his spine, slowly consuming him. What more could you ask for?
[00:02:45] Speaker B: So now the all important question is what exactly happened last time we found an adult man.
[00:02:54] Speaker E: So we didn't.
[00:02:55] Speaker B: There's a little more context. You need that?
[00:02:58] Speaker E: Okay, fine, I'll give better context. We found an attractive adult man.
[00:03:05] Speaker A: Wrong context.
[00:03:07] Speaker C: Wrong context, please.
[00:03:09] Speaker E: Okay, we went into the vault after making some preparations.
Lou got to talk to her mom a little bit more in depth about, like, you know, what was going on, the crime she committed, yada, yada, yada. And we're like, you know what? We're going to disavow this entire family. They all suck. But we went into the vaults. We went into several different vaults. In Talus's, we found the book that we were looking for. In Lou's, we found a man, which is a very old descendant or not descendant, ascendant, ancestor of Lou's family that like, first got the bird curse. And he's like, I've been here alive through the power of bird and spite, and I want nothing more than to kill the guy who cursed me. And we're like, honestly, same target. You want to come with us? And he's like, yeah. And we're like, okay, perfect. Great.
So we recruited One ancestor to some of the bird people. We went into Lace Vault next because Laith's family had a vault. And there were a bunch of fun little items. A Aubrey item, ring of, hey, please don't die. And how. A little bit more hp. I am fucking begging you.
And so we got all our items, but now we have to unfortunately backtrack through giant breathing flower hell of the eld. And there are a lot of eldest. You guys can't see the map, but I'm kind of sweating a little bit here. There's a lot of elves.
[00:04:28] Speaker B: Yeah, there is a lot of eld. And I need everyone to start off with rolling some Initiative left.
[00:04:35] Speaker A: I don't want us.
[00:04:37] Speaker B: You could go last. That is enough.
[00:04:39] Speaker D: And you go last. Lou, don't do that.
[00:04:41] Speaker A: I might do that anyway, considering I just threw my dice before.
Oh, wait, no. I have gotten my one good roll in for the night, so. So it's all downhill from here.
[00:04:57] Speaker D: 24 for Laith.
[00:05:02] Speaker C: 32 for Yuri.
[00:05:05] Speaker A: Also 32 for Luke.
With the cousin dice, no less.
[00:05:11] Speaker B: Which one of you would like to go first?
[00:05:14] Speaker A: Yuri.
Okay, I think that's more useful.
[00:05:18] Speaker C: Take. What'd you get?
[00:05:20] Speaker E: Sadly, I got a 17, so I'm gonna be going a little bit later in the Initiative.
[00:05:23] Speaker B: You're gonna go last.
[00:05:25] Speaker D: Did you roll a one?
[00:05:27] Speaker E: No, I rolled a seven. My perception's not good. I don't have good Initiative.
[00:05:32] Speaker A: Damn. Okay.
[00:05:33] Speaker E: Did you roll a one? Okay, asshole.
[00:05:36] Speaker D: My perception is 16.
[00:05:39] Speaker C: So is mine.
[00:05:39] Speaker E: My perception's 10. Okay. Not all of us can have all the perception in the world.
[00:05:45] Speaker C: Have you not become an expert in perception?
[00:05:48] Speaker E: I'm a sorcerer. I'm not an expert. I'm just gay.
[00:05:52] Speaker A: So someone add that to the quote channel.
[00:05:55] Speaker B: So, yeah, somebody please add the quote channel. So, yeah, we start off with you, Yuri, and as a quick refresh as to everything that's going on, you have snuck up from the vaults in the Historical Society, and you are now surrounded by the eld. You see four of them sort of rise up from the places where they were these corpses animated by these fungal vines. And then there's also the giant flower that's here as well.
And, yeah, it's here. Go.
[00:06:32] Speaker C: Okay, so fear has entered the building.
I am just looking through. What would be the most useful. My surround. We have confirmed it's still on fire, so I don't have to hurt myself in the beginning of this round, which is great.
I think I would like to reaction yelled everyone to book it to the other side of the room.
And One action. I'm gonna move to the closest eld here.
[00:07:18] Speaker A: And.
[00:07:21] Speaker C: Strike with my fiery sarant. Making lots of yelling sounds to try to become a target.
I think it's too early to use a hero point.
So how.
What is my sarat for? Okay, Ari, how does an 18 sound?
[00:07:48] Speaker B: An 18 is a miss, but not a critical miss. So, you know.
[00:07:53] Speaker C: Great, great, great.
Let's try it one more time.
So minus five, plus two from my last roll.
So how does a 14 sound?
[00:08:15] Speaker B: No, 14 is a critical miss.
[00:08:19] Speaker C: 15.
[00:08:20] Speaker B: 15 is a critical miss.
[00:08:23] Speaker C: I got you very distracted.
[00:08:30] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. And it's not a ones. They don't get a card. And none of them have any Their reactions. They can't use them like critical misses. But it's a critical miss. And if this had a critical miss thing, you would get that.
[00:08:44] Speaker C: Cool, cool, cool. Yeah. Well, I'm trying to become the target, so that's my turn.
[00:08:48] Speaker B: All right, Lou, it is now your turn indeed.
[00:08:54] Speaker A: Okay, so we're gonna start off with a little bell action.
I'm gonna ring.
I'm gonna. Sorry. I'm gonna exploit a vulnerability.
Not ringing a bell. That's a different thing. I'm gonna exploit a vulnerability.
Do I have to, technically, because I already know its weakness. But also, exploited vulnerability is like, a specific feat. So do I still need to roll it, or would this be a rare instance? It could just happen.
I'm kidding. I'll roll it. I don't know why I'm asking.
[00:09:28] Speaker B: That seems silly. You still need to roll it, but you're aware.
[00:09:31] Speaker A: I just happen to know the answer.
24.
[00:09:39] Speaker B: A 24.
Yeah. Versus.
Yeah.
[00:09:42] Speaker A: No.
[00:09:43] Speaker B: That is going to be a success.
[00:09:46] Speaker A: Great. The best part about this is that I now have something called sympathetic vulnerabilities. So it applies not just to this one. Whomever I may have pointed to, I appointed no 1. It applies to all of them.
And because it is a mortal weakness and not a personal antithesis, it applies to any creature that has that same weakness, not just the same type. So I think that's going to apply to every enemy on the field.
[00:10:16] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:10:16] Speaker A: Anyone weak to fire is weak to fire right now. To me. For me, I can't quite share it with other people yet, but I can at least make it a problem for anyone that I fight.
And so that's step one.
Step two is going to be, we're gonna move down here, and we're gonna step three. Stab.
[00:10:49] Speaker B: Stab, stab, stab.
[00:10:50] Speaker A: With rapier.
That is just going to.
She's gonna just strike the edge of the rapier against the bell and ignite it.
Come on, Cousin Dice.
That's not what I was hoping for.
Do we decide it's too early to.
[00:11:15] Speaker C: Use the hero theory?
[00:11:18] Speaker B: That's up to you.
[00:11:20] Speaker A: You know what? I don't. I don't.
Screw it. We're gonna use it. We're just gonna use it right off the bat. Yeah.
[00:11:27] Speaker B: And remind me, have you sent your card for the day yet or not?
[00:11:31] Speaker A: Not yet. Not yet.
I suspect I'll need that advantage later when I'm out of here. Points.
[00:11:39] Speaker B: Yeah, that's probably.
[00:11:40] Speaker D: I missed.
[00:11:42] Speaker A: That's much better, baby. Okay, that's gonna be.
Hold the phone. I gotta do stupid math. And it's gonna be.
[00:11:52] Speaker D: 3K the one.
[00:11:53] Speaker A: 33.
[00:11:55] Speaker B: 33 is a hit.
I did that, right?
[00:12:01] Speaker A: Yeah. I nailed it. Okay.
[00:12:04] Speaker B: Yeah. 33 is a hit.
[00:12:05] Speaker A: Sweet.
[00:12:07] Speaker B: And they take extra damage from fire.
[00:12:09] Speaker A: Sweet. I don't love that it's not a crit because that is almost the maximum thing I could possibly roll. So that's good to know. Roll the natural.
[00:12:18] Speaker D: 19.
[00:12:23] Speaker A: What is this stupid damage done?
2D 6.
I haven't done combat in a hot minute.
10.
Wait, there's more.
But wait, there's more. But wait, there's more. So it's. It's 10 piercing damage and then it's also two plus half a level. Oh. Oh. Plus two. So 12. And then whatever the weakness would do.
[00:12:55] Speaker B: As you strike it with the repair that's on fire, bits and pieces of it start to catch flame and sort of creating a very macabre beacon in the room that is plant matter, fungus and dead body.
Yeah.
[00:13:22] Speaker A: Okay, that's my turn.
[00:13:23] Speaker B: Yeah, that's your turn. All right.
See we have the first of the eld. This one is sort of standing behind this sort of like waist high wall that used to be looked like probably carried art or artifacts of some kind.
And is going to spend its first action to move into combat with Yuri.
And is going to second action attack with one of its vined arms for a 25.
[00:14:03] Speaker C: That hits.
[00:14:05] Speaker B: All right.
You are going to take some damage.
[00:14:10] Speaker C: That's fair. I guess.
[00:14:12] Speaker B: That is 23 damage.
[00:14:19] Speaker C: What the fuck?
Okay.
[00:14:23] Speaker B: Sure. And then it just spends its last action to grab you as it hits you with this vined up arm. The vines spring from its arm to yours grabbing you, making it a little bit harder for you to move.
[00:14:41] Speaker A: I think Aubrey actually had a secret plan here to get rid of all of all the nobles. And Niall's going to be the only survivor. And we're all Going to roll new characters.
It's okay.
[00:14:51] Speaker D: Your hot crimp is going to do something so cool to save you.
[00:14:55] Speaker A: He better.
[00:14:56] Speaker C: They barely know me.
[00:15:00] Speaker B: Just moved.
We've got one more. And see, it's got two options.
All right. So it's going to spend its first action to move down these steps and coming into melee range with both Vittorio and Nile. But is going to swing over at Nile.
[00:15:21] Speaker E: Yeah, of course he is, isn't he?
[00:15:24] Speaker B: And is going to grab you. Try to grab you with a tentacle.
[00:15:27] Speaker C: Or, you know, you don't have aura like ramps.
[00:15:31] Speaker A: I mean, maybe it's opposite aura where tentacle recognizes tentacle.
[00:15:40] Speaker E: I hate you.
[00:15:41] Speaker B: So it's a 27 to hit you.
[00:15:44] Speaker E: That does hit. Thank God it's not a crit.
[00:15:51] Speaker B: And for 16 damage.
And you are now grabbed.
[00:16:00] Speaker E: What type of damage? Also 16 damage, you said, Right?
[00:16:03] Speaker B: Bludgeoning damage.
[00:16:05] Speaker E: Okay, hold on.
We are trying to get everyone away from us, right? That is like, the plan.
[00:16:13] Speaker D: We're trying to leave. Yuri's just being a little. And has to fight everything.
[00:16:18] Speaker C: I'm being a distraction.
[00:16:21] Speaker A: I'll.
[00:16:22] Speaker E: I guess I'll use one of my focus spells to use. I guess True Face affects everyone, but honestly.
[00:16:29] Speaker A: It.
[00:16:29] Speaker E: I'll hit that. Hold on. How many? There's not many creatures nearby right now, so it might not be worth it.
I guess the gaping wound one might be a better option for this because I have a lot of reactions to people attacking me.
Yeah, I'll make.
Yeah, this was a melee strike once per day.
I'll use gaping flesh. So the wound that he slashes with his. Not slash the tentacle, but like, as. Like the tentacle digs into the skin. As I'm being grabbed, the flesh kind of distorts and kind of yawns open to form, like a mouth around this tentacle. And it looks really creepy. So make me a Fortitude saving throw real quick.
[00:17:14] Speaker B: 23.
[00:17:15] Speaker E: That is the DC. I'm so mad.
You take a minus one because I'm cute.
[00:17:23] Speaker B: No, damn it.
[00:17:25] Speaker E: Never mind that you should have swirled one lower.
Never mind.
[00:17:35] Speaker B: It's also unfortunate because Fortitude is their best save. I will give you that.
[00:17:40] Speaker E: Yeah. Well, now I've learned that they're very Fortituded.
Fortitudable, formidable, very 40, very sturdy. Fortigious.
[00:17:53] Speaker B: Yeah, that sounds correct.
[00:17:56] Speaker E: Sure, they're very fortigious.
[00:18:00] Speaker A: It doesn't need to be real.
[00:18:01] Speaker E: Less than those words.
But yeah, that's my reaction, I guess.
[00:18:07] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:18:08] Speaker B: Well, it is now Talis's turn, because that was the entire Elt's turn as Talus is going to.
For his first action, move a little bit closer in. And for his second action, he is going to quick bomber, pulling out an alchemist's fire and tossing it at the furthest Eld, the one that is on Yuri's left and rolls a 17 for a 31.
And you watch as with a deft eye, he tosses this alchemist's fire and it goes and will land on the.
I do think Yuri is within splash range.
[00:19:08] Speaker C: It's expected from Talis.
[00:19:10] Speaker B: So take two. Fire damage.
[00:19:14] Speaker C: Actually. Well, technically everything personal, but, you know, not surprised at least.
[00:19:23] Speaker B: And then the.
The. His last action is to unsheath his.
His sword and sort of stay ready.
And that'll bring us to Laithe.
[00:19:39] Speaker D: Yeah. Laithe almost died to these guys a few hours ago and does not understand why everyone is bothering with combat. She is going to reiterate.
We just need to get out of here and book it. So I would like to attempt to vault over the wall sort of separating the room in front of us.
[00:20:06] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:20:06] Speaker D: Aubrey, are you using the DC30? Because that's a really high DC because.
[00:20:12] Speaker B: You'Re doing a what? Long jump.
[00:20:15] Speaker E: It's a really high wall.
[00:20:18] Speaker B: It is two actions. Yeah, a long jump is two actions and it's a DC15 athletics.
[00:20:24] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:20:24] Speaker D: I was wondering if I had to do a high jump so I could, like, clear the wall, but if it's just a long jump, then that's great.
[00:20:29] Speaker B: Yeah, it would be like a long jump because it's like wa height. It's not like 10ft tall.
[00:20:34] Speaker D: Okay, sweet. That's a 15 on the dice.
[00:20:36] Speaker A: So.
[00:20:38] Speaker D: Two actions gets onto the wall and that. Or clears the wall, I guess.
And then we'll just keep. Sees again the giant ELD flower and wants to clear that as well. And so we'll use her 40ft of movement to get across the room.
And that's the turn.
[00:21:02] Speaker B: All right. And we have the eld. That's the other ELD that is currently on fire right next to you, Yuri.
And, you know, we're going to.
He sees a. He's using an easy target. So, you know, we're going to. We're going to reach out and try to bite you.
[00:21:22] Speaker C: I thought these things didn't like fire.
[00:21:25] Speaker B: Yeah, but it's on fire, so.
[00:21:28] Speaker C: Okay, sure, whatever.
[00:21:31] Speaker B: So it's a 31 to hit.
[00:21:33] Speaker C: Yeah, that hits.
[00:21:35] Speaker B: All right, I need you to make a fortitude save.
[00:21:40] Speaker C: All right, now I'm going to use a hero point.
Doesn't Dice around for blood tonight.
He started great.
You said fortitude.
[00:21:53] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:21:54] Speaker C: That is going to be a 26.
[00:21:57] Speaker B: 26. All right, so you are fine for the moment and take 17 piercing damage.
See? And then it is going to actually spend an action to move, putting you into flank.
And then is just going to try and hit you one more time.
[00:22:17] Speaker C: Wait, so it's fully moving, not stepping.
[00:22:21] Speaker B: It is taking smart enough to step.
[00:22:23] Speaker C: I want to attack of opportunity yet.
[00:22:26] Speaker B: Can you do that while grabbed?
[00:22:28] Speaker C: Am I immobilized while grabbed?
Attack of opportunity.
[00:22:39] Speaker B: By giving you the off guard in immobilized condition, incapable of movement. If you're immobilized with something holding you in place and external force. Okay, so I think you still can. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But if it is a. If it can, if it is considered a manipulate action, you do need a DC5 flat check.
[00:22:58] Speaker C: It doesn't have that trait on it.
[00:23:01] Speaker B: I mean, you'd still be attacking.
[00:23:03] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:23:04] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:23:04] Speaker C: DC5.
That is a 7.
[00:23:08] Speaker B: So yeah, then you can attack.
[00:23:12] Speaker C: Come on, cousin dice.
What's that?
[00:23:15] Speaker B: What's that number?
[00:23:16] Speaker C: That is a 27.
[00:23:18] Speaker B: 27. 27.
[00:23:19] Speaker C: We'll hit.
Sorry, I thought the cats are doing something. And Alyssa just moved and I was surprised.
Okay, that is seven. Two is nine plus five. So 14 slashing and six fire.
But unfortunately it's not a crit. So they continue their movement.
[00:23:49] Speaker B: Yeah. And then they're behind you and they're going to attempt to attack you with their.
Their vines. One more time for a 21.
[00:24:02] Speaker C: That does not hit.
[00:24:05] Speaker B: Hey. Then you managed to just dodge out of the way. Last second for that.
And let's see.
Let me do this. They're going to take fire damage. They're going to roll their recovery check.
They don't succeed. So they're still on fire. And then it'll bring us to Vittorio. Vittorio, who is in his hybrid bird transformation.
And you can kind of see the coloring of a blue jay.
And he is going to turn to the one that is attacking Nile and use his bird like talons on it.
Okay, that is going to hit, but not crit.
You notice as the talents sort of rake into these, they're enchanted in some way, sort of dealing extra damage to these, these creatures.
[00:25:04] Speaker E: It's Grandpa.
Grandpa.
[00:25:07] Speaker B: I'm dying.
And is going to try one more time to hit.
And yeah, it does. With a 19 on the dice. I don't have his sheet fully in boundary yet. Rolling physical dice, not as good of a hit, but still a solid second hit.
[00:25:30] Speaker A: This guy's been free for all of five minutes. And he is kicking butt.
[00:25:36] Speaker B: And with his last action, he watches with a hand.
He puts up a hand and casts shield.
[00:25:43] Speaker A: Ooh, Grandpa's got magic.
[00:25:45] Speaker B: Mm.
Grandpa omegas.
[00:25:49] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:25:50] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:25:51] Speaker A: Okay, Vittorio. I see you.
[00:25:56] Speaker C: Off positive looking, gramps.
[00:26:05] Speaker B: So yeah. And we've come to the ELD flower.
And you all watch as it unfurls its petals. This sort of sickly red petals like blood.
And then you watch as it shakes the flower. It shakes and suddenly coating the room. Sending out are a bunch of spores. And I need everybody in the room to give me a fortitude save.
[00:26:38] Speaker A: Spores.
[00:26:43] Speaker E: Aubrey.
[00:26:45] Speaker C: Oh, no.
[00:26:45] Speaker E: Does this count as a disease or poison?
[00:26:48] Speaker B: Technically, yes.
[00:26:50] Speaker A: Yippee.
[00:26:50] Speaker E: I get a plus one circumstance bonus to those.
[00:26:53] Speaker A: Yippee.
18, 19.
Hey, we've gotta stop matching.
[00:27:08] Speaker C: I heard you laugh.
[00:27:09] Speaker E: You know, I think I am gonna use my one hero point on the account of I don't think I'm gonna roll worse than a 2.
[00:27:17] Speaker A: And also statistically you can.
[00:27:20] Speaker E: I think someone in this group has to succeed this throw because I have no confidence that you guys succeeded.
[00:27:26] Speaker D: I got an 11. Dusty heard me laughing from across the house and I considered rerolling it, but I do think it's very funny.
[00:27:35] Speaker E: Not as bad as a two, but I got a five, so that's according to money.
[00:27:40] Speaker A: Hey, that's what I rolled. You have a dirty 20 from a 5. Wow, I'm impressed.
[00:27:45] Speaker E: Plus 15 of fortitude schism.
[00:27:48] Speaker A: I forgot.
[00:27:49] Speaker B: Yeah.
Unfortunately the DC was 22.
[00:27:57] Speaker A: Did you expect to get us all?
No.
[00:28:00] Speaker B: This is surprising everybody.
Everyone take levels in second.
[00:28:08] Speaker E: Throw myself into the sun.
[00:28:09] Speaker C: At this point, those of us that did the crit fail.
[00:28:13] Speaker B: If you crit failed, that is second three.
[00:28:18] Speaker E: How do I add a condition to myself? I have every condition already.
[00:28:26] Speaker B: If you just failed at second two.
[00:28:30] Speaker C: Oh, second two?
[00:28:31] Speaker B: Yeah. If you only just regularly failed it. Second two.
If you critically failed at sickened three.
And if you succeeded, you only become sickened one.
[00:28:41] Speaker A: You cool?
[00:28:48] Speaker C: What the fuck? Alyssa, I need you to say this into the mic. What the fuck?
[00:28:54] Speaker D: Apparently, second lowers your fortitude saves and all your saves and all your checks. So my fortitude is now plus life. So I'm gonna do great when we continue fighting these eld.
[00:29:05] Speaker A: Oh, no.
Checking. Check it in. Check in my. Check in some.
[00:29:13] Speaker D: Some stuff real fast.
[00:29:15] Speaker A: Aubrey does want us dead.
I think Aubrey wants happened in the last fight anyway. I'm gonna make it worse. I didn't actually kill any of them.
That's all the flower is doing, right? It's just.
[00:29:31] Speaker B: Yeah, that's all it can do. It's three actions that wait.
[00:29:34] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Okay. Okay.
[00:29:41] Speaker B: All right. And it is now the. The El that's directly in front of you. Iro. It's turn.
All right. And it has you grasped. So it's going to start off with a bite roll.
Does a 20 hit you?
[00:29:59] Speaker C: It does not.
[00:30:00] Speaker B: All right, so then it's bite. It's kind of.
[00:30:03] Speaker C: It does.
Wait, I'm flanked, right?
[00:30:07] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:30:08] Speaker C: Okay. Because I'm sick into.
[00:30:10] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:30:10] Speaker C: It doesn't.
[00:30:11] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:30:12] Speaker A: Oh, no.
[00:30:14] Speaker B: Toss me another 42. Save.
[00:30:18] Speaker A: Christ.
[00:30:20] Speaker C: Now I'm committing to the cousin dice.
[00:30:25] Speaker B: You don't have to.
[00:30:26] Speaker C: Okay, that is a 24.
[00:30:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:30:32] Speaker A: You.
[00:30:32] Speaker B: You're pretty sure you're fine.
And that is 11 piercing damage.
[00:30:38] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:30:39] Speaker B: And it's gonna follow up with two Ivy attacks, which neither hit with a.
A 19. And.
Oh, 19 doesn't hit, right?
[00:30:53] Speaker A: No, no.
[00:30:54] Speaker B: And a 10.
[00:30:56] Speaker C: That's a crit fail. Even with all the bonuses debuffs, rather.
[00:31:02] Speaker B: It's fine.
[00:31:03] Speaker A: It's fine.
[00:31:07] Speaker E: She said very unconvincingly.
[00:31:10] Speaker B: No, it's your. Your go.
[00:31:13] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[00:31:13] Speaker E: I'm grappled. I am. I am screwed.
So my brain's like, wow. Escaping from this is gonna be terrible because my athletics is like negative 1 billion at this point.
[00:31:25] Speaker B: You can use a.
An unarmed attack.
[00:31:32] Speaker E: My athletics is minus two right now. My athletics is literally the negatives right now. Which I think is hilarious and also really sad.
My question is, can you cast spells while grappled?
[00:31:47] Speaker B: You have to succeed at a DC5 flat check because it's a manipulate action.
[00:31:54] Speaker E: I don't think an unarmed attack is really going to do it for me just because my ass is not hitting an unarmed attack.
I'm crit failing an armor attack without hesitation.
Let me see.
[00:32:10] Speaker B: You know what?
[00:32:11] Speaker E: I'll just try slapping a third level ink shot. If I fail, the flat check is a spell shalot wasted.
[00:32:17] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:32:18] Speaker E: Okay, I'm gonna do it anyways.
[00:32:19] Speaker B: So it's just a DC5 flat check. So you just gotta roll higher than a 5 on a D20.
[00:32:25] Speaker E: All right.
Oh, so now I roll high on a D20. I got a 16, which means I can use the ink shot attack.
Yippee.
[00:32:35] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:32:37] Speaker E: Beautiful. I know this guy's grabbing me. I'm going to try stewing acid directly in his eyes.
Yeah, it's only an 18. I don't think it's gonna do it. Is it?
[00:32:47] Speaker B: Unfortunately, it is not.
[00:32:50] Speaker E: Yeah.
I'm realizing how many negatives I have right now, so I guess I Can try to cast SHIELD as a third another action and see if I hit the DC for stupefied.
I may as well. I don't think I'm getting out of this grapple, so I may as well try to cast another spell and hope the D20 is kind to me.
Okay, so when I need to roll the hit, I'm never gonna roll high enough to hit, but damn, I can make those flat checks for days. So I'm gonna use shield, I guess for my third action, I cannot really move, and I'm just gonna hope that the grandpa can kill this thing before it kills me.
[00:33:37] Speaker B: Is the vibe fair? Fair.
All right, we'll bring it. We'll bring it back to the top of the round with Yuri.
All right.
[00:33:59] Speaker C: I have those alchemist fires.
How many actions would it take to grab one and smash into the thing holding me?
[00:34:07] Speaker B: Do you have.
Do you have, like, a bandolier?
[00:34:12] Speaker C: Yes, Yuri does have bandolier. Because of other bullets.
[00:34:16] Speaker B: I believe bandoliers do, like, you put things like bombs on them.
[00:34:20] Speaker C: Okay, so it'll be just like a one action, then?
[00:34:23] Speaker B: Yeah, I would say it would be a one action.
[00:34:26] Speaker C: Okay. And how much does alchemist fires that we have? Are they just like a D8 or something?
[00:34:32] Speaker B: They are two D8.
[00:34:35] Speaker C: Two D8.
If I smashed it and the one against me with the splash damage, get me? Probably right.
[00:34:45] Speaker B: Yeah, but it's like two splash damage.
[00:34:50] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll do that. I'll go from the Brandelier and try to, like, literally smash it in the face of the El doing that.
Would that be like a ranged attack or a melee attack?
[00:35:04] Speaker B: You know what? If you're just trying to smash it in this face, I'd allow it to be a melee attack.
[00:35:10] Speaker C: Let's go.
Let's go.
Let's. No, it's a 500 dice, so that's an 18.
[00:35:26] Speaker B: So it's still gonna take splash damage.
[00:35:30] Speaker C: I just, like. I just, like, beef it, throw it on the ground.
I buffed it.
Okay, so like, two splash damage?
[00:35:42] Speaker B: Well, it's fire splash damage, so you will take two, but it will take more.
[00:35:47] Speaker C: I have slippery prey that makes escaping easier, so I'm going to attempt an escape artist check or just an escape check to get out of the grasp.
So that's a. That's a nat 20 on escaping. Aubrey.
[00:36:04] Speaker B: Yeah, that is. That is an escape.
[00:36:07] Speaker C: I, in turn, would like to do.
Aubrey, could you give me a visual description of these Eld, Are they wearing any clothes? Are they just kind of like weird, funky plants?
[00:36:26] Speaker B: They are Wearing clothes. They're a little more than rags, but, yes, they are wearing clothes, because these are old corpses that are reanimated by these vines and fungus.
[00:36:36] Speaker C: Do they have shoes?
[00:36:39] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:36:41] Speaker C: All right, I got a new feat that I want to use because it's silly, and it's called Dirty Trick.
I.
I have a hand free and within me that I reach.
I hook a foe's bootlegs together, pull the hat over the ears, loosen their belt, otherwise confound their nobility through an underhanded tactic. I get to do a thief recheck against their DC reflex DC and try to make them clumsy, basically.
So it's a bold move because my theory is lowered right now, but that is a 27 against a reflex DC.
[00:37:21] Speaker B: That is a. That is a success.
[00:37:25] Speaker C: Great.
They are clumsy one until after. Ends automatically after one round. So I guess until next round, they are clumsy one.
And Yuri, like, literally, I don't know, like, rips out all the laces of their shoes, and so they're stumbling or something. Something really silly because they're not in the good mind state right now.
[00:37:57] Speaker B: There.
[00:37:59] Speaker C: And that's my turn.
[00:38:01] Speaker B: Yeah.
And that'll bring us to Louis.
[00:38:07] Speaker A: Yes.
Okay.
Have we seen yet through this battle whether or not they can just attack you if you pass them?
[00:38:24] Speaker D: I think we saw in the last battle that they could. Is that accurate?
[00:38:29] Speaker A: I feel like they got y'. All.
[00:38:34] Speaker C: Well, in the. In the last fight, they did have a tax opportunity, but we don't know if they have the same.
[00:38:41] Speaker D: But these could be the weak little brothers who are stuck on grandpa garden duty.
[00:38:49] Speaker A: Well, I wouldn't know that, because I wasn't in that fight.
Okay, so given the way that nobody seems to be running away from them once engaged, I think I'm just going to attack this one until it's dead, which could take a while, but we're gonna give it a go.
Okay, I'm gonna roll.
[00:39:14] Speaker B: Do you want to use your card just in case? I'm gonna ask.
[00:39:17] Speaker A: Not on this one. This is. This is the best chance I have.
After that, it goes downhill once Map starts getting involved.
[00:39:25] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:39:26] Speaker A: Hey, that's a chance. There's a chance. That's a 27. No, it's a 20. I'm sickened. It's a freaking 25.
[00:39:34] Speaker B: 25 hits.
[00:39:35] Speaker A: Ah, heck, yes. Okay.
Stabbing, girl. Come on.
Stabbing poorly. It's gonna be.
Hold on, hold on, hold on. I just looked it up. I forgot already.
I think It's a.
It's 11. It's 11 plus weakness. So nine piercing plus two bell plus plus weak weakness.
[00:40:12] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:40:15] Speaker A: And then I'm gonna stab it again with advantage.
Going to spend the card.
Gonna throw it up in the air, Magical girl style.
Hey, let's go. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Hold on, hold on. This is easy math, but I. I can't math under pressure. We all know this.
[00:40:46] Speaker D: 26.
[00:40:48] Speaker A: 26.
[00:40:49] Speaker B: 26 hits?
[00:40:51] Speaker D: Hell yeah. Hell yeah.
[00:40:53] Speaker A: That's better. Damage, that's gonna be 15 plus weakness.
[00:41:07] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:41:08] Speaker C: I.
[00:41:09] Speaker A: Okay. 13 of which is. Is piercing.
And.
And then I think last action, I'm gonna. Gonna hit it with the Alchemist fire.
[00:41:22] Speaker B: Yeah, it is certainly looking real rough right now.
[00:41:28] Speaker A: Okay.
I don't actually know if I can hit it with this turn. I think I can only pull it out.
[00:41:36] Speaker B: Yeah, if you don't have it on like a bandolier or something, you need to spin the action to pull it out from your back. But you can. It'll be. It'll be ready canonically full with. Yeah, you've got sword.
[00:41:46] Speaker A: I'm busy.
Okay. Yeah. So I'm gonna put away something and dig out the Alchemist fire so I have a free hand to smash next time.
[00:41:55] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. So we're at the one that is right next to you, Yuri. The one that you tried to light on fire, and he doesn't want you to leave.
[00:42:09] Speaker D: That's the first person in Yuri's life who ever felt like that.
[00:42:13] Speaker A: Stop.
[00:42:13] Speaker E: I was gonna say it, but then I didn't.
[00:42:16] Speaker C: Ouch.
[00:42:22] Speaker B: First action, to attack you with its vines for a 25.
[00:42:29] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:42:32] Speaker B: For only eight damage. It rolled. Minimum damage.
And second action, you're grabbed again.
And then third action, you feel it start to try and SAP a life from you.
[00:42:54] Speaker C: Okay, but because I have fire blood. Is that a negative?
[00:42:59] Speaker B: It's not trying to SAP the blood from you.
Like life energy, life force and.
What do you mean, toss me a quick fortitude save?
[00:43:11] Speaker E: You're a very negative person to be around. Does this count for anything?
[00:43:19] Speaker C: That's a 23.
[00:43:21] Speaker B: Then you're fine. You don't take any negative conditions from this.
[00:43:25] Speaker C: That was a 13. Out of dice.
[00:43:28] Speaker B: Yeah. You. You. You do not become fatigued, slowed, or enfeebled.
[00:43:34] Speaker C: This is clumsy, and it's still doing this to me.
[00:43:39] Speaker B: And that's its entire turn. Because it was three actions.
Come to another one. That's the one that is next to you, Nile.
[00:43:47] Speaker E: I'm just saying, one of us successfully hit it and the other one didn't, so.
[00:43:51] Speaker B: But it has. You grabbed, so it's gonna bite you man for a 23.
[00:44:02] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:44:04] Speaker B: Right. Do you. You want to use your reaction for your shield or do you just.
[00:44:10] Speaker E: I did manage to cast shield.
[00:44:12] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:44:13] Speaker E: Actually, there's a couple of them in range now. Let me check something.
I want to check true face's range just because I might be able to jump scare multiple creatures with that reaction instead.
Where is it?
Me checking bloodline again and be like a 10 foot radius is the range. So it wouldn't be able to hit a lot of them. Sadly. It would just hit this guy. This. I wouldn't hit this guy. But that's 15ft diagonal.
[00:44:48] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:44:49] Speaker E: Okay. I guess I would just hit one guy then.
[00:44:51] Speaker A: So.
[00:44:51] Speaker E: Yeah, I'll raise my shield as a reaction. Sorry, shield.
[00:44:59] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. 10ft.
[00:45:03] Speaker E: Yeah, I'll just raise my shield instead. It's more ergonomic.
[00:45:08] Speaker B: Yeah. So you're going to reduce the damage.
You. It is going to deal you 15 damage. And I'm also going to need you to toss me another Fortitude save.
[00:45:18] Speaker D: All right.
[00:45:18] Speaker E: I think it's minus five because that's the shield stat thing.
Yes. So that'll be 10 damage at 50 and a fortitude said save. You said.
[00:45:29] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:45:29] Speaker E: Is this against.
[00:45:30] Speaker A: If these are poison.
[00:45:31] Speaker B: This is against poison.
[00:45:33] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:45:40] Speaker E: That is a 26 then.
[00:45:44] Speaker B: Yeah. You are fine for now.
[00:45:46] Speaker A: SK.
[00:45:46] Speaker E: I was like, come on, man. I'm doing my best here.
[00:45:51] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:45:54] Speaker E: All right.
[00:45:56] Speaker B: Yeah. No.
So it is now Talis's turn. He is going to.
Yeah. He is going to spend an action to Quick Bomber and throw a.
An alchemist fire at the one in front of you, Louis.
Right. And that hits. You watch as the thing sails, hit it on the head, catches on fire. You are going to take two splash damage.
Because unfortunately, and this thing does catch a light and it does not look in good condition. So he is second action. Five foot step, third action. Stab with sword.
All right. And you watch as he runs this thing through in its head and it starts. Stops moving and kind of pushes it off its. Off his blade as it sort of just continues to burn and then looks at you real quick and goes, are you all right?
[00:46:59] Speaker A: Go help Yuri.
[00:47:02] Speaker B: Okay.
Right. And it is his entire turn. And that'll bring us back to Leith.
[00:47:09] Speaker D: Leith continues to follow the plan and leave this building.
She oops. She runs very quickly towards the exit and then is deeply nauseous by this sickened condition and spends two turns retching.
So big move.
Such a bad idea.
[00:47:41] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:47:43] Speaker D: The DC was 22, right?
That's a 19 on the dice, which means I made It.
[00:47:49] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:47:50] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:47:51] Speaker E: Hell yeah.
[00:47:51] Speaker D: Okay, so that brings me down to second two.
[00:47:56] Speaker A: And for the second one.
Oof. A doof.
[00:48:00] Speaker D: That is a six on the dice. So that does not help.
[00:48:03] Speaker B: Yeah, no, you, you just, you, you can expel the some of it but then you know, you're just leaning over just kind of hacking, just trying to get any of it out. It's not happening.
[00:48:16] Speaker A: But that is my turn.
[00:48:20] Speaker B: All right, We've got the ELD that's on fire.
It is going to take a five foot step putting Vittorio in flank and second action. Try to attack him with the IB.
A 19 is not going to hit him.
He manages to dodge out of the way and he will try one more.
[00:48:44] Speaker A: Time.
[00:48:47] Speaker B: For an 18 which is also going to get him.
[00:48:54] Speaker C: Let's see.
[00:48:55] Speaker B: It's going to take that damage. It's got a role. It's recovery check.
It does not recover and it is Vittorio. So you watch as with one clawed hand pulls back and sort of claws start to like glow and sizzle as he spell strikes with immolation on the one that has you grab Niall.
[00:49:26] Speaker E: Please save my grandpa.
[00:49:29] Speaker B: He hits all right. And that is gonna be because he's using this as a melee so it gets extra damage.
Normady sixes.
That's a pretty good roll.
You watch as he hits it and with this claw attack that sort of burns where he leaves these claw marks and deals a pretty solid hit to this thing.
And with his last action he'll throw a bit of shield.
So it is the eldflower's turn. I gotta roll something real quick.
And you're all in luck. It does not get its powder ability back.
[00:50:21] Speaker D: Is there a thing in Pathfinder where like if one of your saves drops to zero, you die?
[00:50:31] Speaker B: No, that's first edition.
[00:50:36] Speaker C: Cool.
[00:50:36] Speaker D: Confirming.
[00:50:39] Speaker A: But it's.
[00:50:39] Speaker B: It does not get its.
Its powder attack back. So unfortunately that is all it can do because it's more like a hazard than an actual creature.
[00:50:49] Speaker A: Oh convenient.
[00:50:53] Speaker B: And that'll bring us to the end of the end of the second round with Nile.
[00:50:59] Speaker E: All right. Am I still grabbed by this thing?
[00:51:02] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:51:06] Speaker E: Again, I'm not confident my ability to make an escape check just because I would be running, but I'm looking at a negative 2 escape check right now.
[00:51:14] Speaker B: Even if you use a. An unarmed melee attack.
[00:51:19] Speaker E: Let me check my normal melee attack because that's what is my under melee attack. That is a plus 10 to hit with an unarmed melee attack.
[00:51:29] Speaker B: I. I'm not really great, but it's not horrible either.
[00:51:34] Speaker E: It won't Help me escape though, will it?
[00:51:37] Speaker B: You can use on our. Because you escape, you can either use acrobatics, athletics, or unarmed attack to escape.
[00:51:44] Speaker E: Oh, okay. Oh, acrobatics.
[00:51:48] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:51:51] Speaker E: Never mind. That's a plus zero.
I was like, wow, I don't have good acrobatics. I say, forgetting that I'm not playing marrow anymore. They fucking shove themselves back my brain. Like, I'm really good at acrobatics. I'm like, that's great, buddy. You're retired.
[00:52:05] Speaker A: I was wondering why you sounded so excited about that. I'm like, what sorcerer has good athletics or acrobatics?
[00:52:10] Speaker E: Acrobatics is great. Hold on. I'm channeling the wrong energy. Go back to your retirement home, grandpa.
[00:52:16] Speaker C: Work at the circus.
[00:52:18] Speaker E: Fuck it. We're hitting the unarmed strike. I guess to try to escape.
Don't get any cool bonuses because I can't really move anywhere.
[00:52:27] Speaker A: So.
[00:52:32] Speaker E: That'S a 14.
[00:52:34] Speaker A: Oh, no.
[00:52:35] Speaker B: Yeah. Unfortunately, that is not going to succeed.
[00:52:40] Speaker E: Well, honestly, I've been taking a lot of damage.
[00:52:54] Speaker A: It. I'm gonna.
[00:52:55] Speaker E: I have two actions left. I'm gonna make the flat check and try a fourth level spell because I am getting low on.
[00:53:00] Speaker B: Not low.
[00:53:00] Speaker E: Low on health, but low enough that I don't like it. So let's see if I can make that flat check.
I can't use shield again. I already broke it.
[00:53:10] Speaker A: Come on.
[00:53:12] Speaker E: I don't want to roll.
Just my roll a D20.
Yeah, there we go.
Okay, I made the flap check. All right.
Unfortunately, it is a fortitude save, so you're gonna have to make the fortitude save. And the DC is only 21. So honestly, this is not a good idea now that I'm realizing what it was a fortitude save, But I'm committed to my bad decisions, so.
[00:53:45] Speaker B: So that's a 20.
[00:53:47] Speaker A: Okay, perfect.
[00:53:52] Speaker E: It will take 6D6 void damage, which I don't think it resists, and it will take.
I'm just gonna roll it.
Plus I'll take 66 plus 4, because I have a cool little thing for that.
[00:54:11] Speaker B: Plus 4.
[00:54:11] Speaker E: I. I should have just said roll damage because actually, why am I doing this the hard way? There is literally a mechanic. This is built in. I was like, I'm going to do this in the convoluted way.
I'm just going to press cast. Cuz then I can just roll the damage like I'm a fool.
Oh, right. It's upcasted so I do more damage. Cuz damn sure 36 points of damage and I get half of that as temporary hit points.
[00:54:42] Speaker B: It is looking real rough, but it is not dead yet.
[00:54:46] Speaker E: All right, that is technically it. I got some nice temporary HP as this thing has me grabbed. But I now will dig their nails into its skin and I guess kind of take a page from its book as these tendrils kind of start sapping the life force out of this creature. And I'm going to look at it and be like, two can play at that game.
And that is my turn as I'm sucking the life back.
[00:55:17] Speaker B: And that'll bring us to the top of round three with Yuri.
[00:55:21] Speaker C: How is this one holding me? Look?
[00:55:26] Speaker B: Not great.
It's taking a little bit of damage, but it's. It's not to the point where it's bloodied yet.
[00:55:33] Speaker C: Okay, I'm gonna try.
This thing has grabbed me twice. I'm just gonna try to hit it.
Cousin dice.
Oh, okay, that's a 32. 32.
[00:55:50] Speaker B: 32. 32 will hit.
[00:55:54] Speaker C: Not a crit. Right?
So that's.
[00:55:59] Speaker B: Yes, actually, because it's still clumsy until the end of your turn.
[00:56:10] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:56:13] Speaker C: Clumsy nerd.
Great.
So that's 12 slashing and six fire normally. So it's doubled.
[00:56:26] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:56:27] Speaker C: So 24 slashing, 12 fire.
[00:56:32] Speaker B: That is a devastating blow on it, but it's still standing.
[00:56:37] Speaker C: Now, does it look bloody?
[00:56:39] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Now look bloody.
[00:56:44] Speaker C: Let me just double check.
[00:56:49] Speaker B: Something.
[00:56:52] Speaker C: Okay, I would then like to.
I didn't have it out, so I like to grab my pistol from my belt, which is an action.
And then I would like to shoot it. And because I have sword and pistol, it is off guard to my shot because I hit it with a melee attack.
[00:57:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
Wrong.
[00:57:25] Speaker C: Nowhere near as good.
It's 7 plus, so it's a dirty 17.
[00:57:43] Speaker B: A sturdy 17 is not going to hit.
[00:57:46] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, It's.
It's not. It's not a crit, right? Or a crit fail.
[00:57:52] Speaker B: No, not a crit fail.
[00:57:53] Speaker C: Okay, cool, cool, cool. That's dangerous with guns.
Okay, well, that's. That's that. That's all my actions.
[00:58:05] Speaker B: Oh, and Lou, it is now your turn.
[00:58:12] Speaker A: Ignore that button I just pushed. It was an accident.
Okay, who would you say looks of the ELD that are causing issues for Nile and Yuri? Which ELD do you think looks like they're closer to death?
[00:58:36] Speaker B: The one that is.
Is attacking Victoria looks closer to death.
[00:58:44] Speaker A: No, the one that's. Grab the grabbing ones. The ones that are.
[00:58:47] Speaker B: The grabbing one. The one that is with the one in Nile.
Yuri is grabbed. But Yuri's Niles looks worse than Yuri's.
[00:59:00] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:59:00] Speaker A: Great.
I'm going to chuck a card at it because.
Yeah, I'm gonna spend an action to grab my cards and then I'm gonna check one that. Oh, that's really cool. I like that. I did that. And I didn't roll too terribly.
I threw it and I missed the dice tray, but it landed on my phone, which was perched on top. It was neat.
Okay, so that's gonna be a 25.
[00:59:37] Speaker B: A 25. 25 will hit.
[00:59:40] Speaker A: Sweet.
This sucker is also.
Yeah, same damage type, but that's cool.
So 11 slashing plus 2 plus fire.
[00:59:58] Speaker B: Yeah, no, that is enough to. To take this thing out.
[01:00:02] Speaker A: Nailed it.
Runs hard now and then I'm going to use.
Yeah, yeah. I'm gonna use my last action to try to help Yuri out with theirs.
Nope, never mind.
That might be a crit fail, actually.
[01:00:40] Speaker C: Nice stab, Yuri. Or whatever.
[01:00:43] Speaker A: I'm too far away to do that, but, you know.
Yeah, that's going to be a 12.
[01:00:50] Speaker B: A 12. 12 is not going to hit.
[01:00:53] Speaker A: Okay, cool. I. I'm shocked. I'm shocked.
[01:00:56] Speaker B: Shocked, shocked, shocked.
So incredibly shocked.
[01:01:01] Speaker A: That's it. That's the whole thing?
[01:01:02] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. The.
So the one that is attacking Yuri. It is its turn and still has Yuri grabbed.
So he hasn't tried to escape yet.
[01:01:22] Speaker C: I tried killing it. That's an attempt at an escape. True.
[01:01:27] Speaker B: And it is going to, for its first action, attempt to bite you.
[01:01:32] Speaker C: Gross.
[01:01:36] Speaker B: That is a 25. So I think that will hit.
[01:01:39] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:01:41] Speaker B: Yeah. Toss me. Toss me another fortitude. Safe.
[01:01:46] Speaker C: Fell.
[01:01:47] Speaker B: O.
[01:01:50] Speaker C: Sorry. No, the first dice fell.
[01:01:53] Speaker A: This is.
[01:01:54] Speaker C: It's 17.
[01:01:56] Speaker B: 17.
Okay, so you're going to take 19 piercing damage from the Right.
[01:02:07] Speaker C: And what else happens?
[01:02:09] Speaker B: You.
You don't feel great. You feel worse. You are under the effect of the. The poison from the Wraith vine and you are going to become stupefied one.
[01:02:26] Speaker C: Great.
[01:02:28] Speaker B: And you are going to take.
[01:02:32] Speaker A: I just remembered I have reactions.
[01:02:36] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:02:37] Speaker A: I don't know if it will actually help, but can I.
Can I ring my bell?
[01:02:43] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:02:49] Speaker A: Because it was a strike, right?
[01:02:51] Speaker B: Yeah, it was a bite strike.
[01:02:53] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah.
Can I have a will save against my class D.C. please?
[01:03:01] Speaker B: That is a 19.
[01:03:05] Speaker A: That sounds.
[01:03:07] Speaker B: Yeah, I think. I'm pretty sure that's failure.
[01:03:09] Speaker A: Sweet.
Then you get to be enfeebled or clumsy until the end of your turn.
Pick one. It says my choice, but I'm. I don't know, maybe clumsy too. Does that sound fun?
[01:03:21] Speaker B: Clumsy? Clumsies. Clumsies is pretty good.
[01:03:25] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Okay, we'll do. We'll do clumsy. I don't know if that helps in this situation at all. But, like, maybe.
[01:03:32] Speaker B: Yeah. That would. That would make its attack a 23. Does that hit you, Yuri?
It's unfortunately, yeah. Unfortunately. But yeah, I tried.
[01:03:41] Speaker C: I'm still sicken.
[01:03:43] Speaker B: Yep. You will take one poison damage and your stupefied one.
[01:03:53] Speaker C: Yuri looks really bad.
[01:04:02] Speaker B: It is Talis's turn. So Talis is going to spend some more of his infused reagents. He's running out of those.
He's got a few left. But he's going to spend infused reagents to make healing.
Healing bomb at this point.
And is going to throw it at you, Yuri.
[01:04:30] Speaker C: Throwing something. My life is flashing before my eyes.
[01:04:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
And then it crashes right next to you. And you kind of feel the vapors, like enter and, you know, you feel stronger, you feel healthier.
So heal. 19 damage.
[01:04:58] Speaker A: Oh, nice.
[01:04:59] Speaker C: Just from that thing I took.
[01:05:02] Speaker B: So it's two actions. And then is going to spend an action to put the one that's on fire in flank.
Hey, Laith, it's now your turn again.
[01:05:15] Speaker A: Yay.
[01:05:17] Speaker D: I cannot see what is happening as I continue my exit. Is it just the outside of the manor or is it an. Or this historical society? Or is it another floor? What happens if I keep moving forward?
[01:05:32] Speaker B: If you keep moving forward, it will essentially think of these are like the.
You're going up the stairs and you'll eventually sort of like come to where the doors out are.
Essentially. The rotunda is pretty like central for when you enter.
[01:05:50] Speaker D: Great. So I would love to continue up the stairs stealthily, please.
And keeping an eye out for any other eld And I know our sort of signal to Mama Bird was that we would send a message out, but I don't have message, so I can't do that. So as long as I don't see anything sort of waiting in the doorway area as I continue out. I did spend that cantrip card talking to my mom, which was.
Yeah. So I will continue my way out stealthily and vigilant for any further out, but just waiting for everyone else to make their escape because I assume they are right behind me.
[01:06:45] Speaker B: It's a great assumption to have. Toss me a stealth check real quick.
[01:06:52] Speaker D: Yikes. That is a seven. So I will use a hero point.
[01:06:59] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:06:59] Speaker D: That's better.
28.
[01:07:06] Speaker B: 28. Okay. You're pretty sure you're fine.
So it is this El's turn.
This El is going to seeing that, you know, the person who's been throwing fire around is now right behind it is Going to turn around and attack Talus with first attack coming in with the vine attack. And hits and connects kind of here.
[01:07:34] Speaker A: The.
[01:07:35] Speaker B: The crunching as this attack connects. And he spends second action to grab and then third action to try and bite down.
And that is going to be a success.
Oof.
It's unfortunately going to be a critical success against him.
[01:07:59] Speaker C: Oh, no. Stop. Wait.
[01:08:01] Speaker B: Oh, no. Yeah.
[01:08:03] Speaker C: Don't do it.
[01:08:07] Speaker B: And you watch as this bite takes like a giant chunk of flesh out of Talus's shoulder.
It's that turn.
It's now Vittorio's turn. Vittorio is going to turn around and first action attack the. Because well, yeah. Is going to just attack with immolation instead of spell striking or anything. All right.
First attack gonna hit.
Not can be nearly as much damage. But that's fine.
Dealing another pretty good hit simply because of the extra fire damage. And we'll follow it up with one claw attack.
My dice just really like Grandpa apparently.
Because that is a natural 21st claw attack.
[01:09:03] Speaker A: Let's go.
[01:09:04] Speaker E: Listen, as long as you're getting the CR on our side, I'm all right with it.
[01:09:10] Speaker A: He deserves to let loose a little. Guy's been in a vault for a hundred years, Jim.
[01:09:16] Speaker C: With equipments.
At least.
[01:09:18] Speaker A: At least.
[01:09:23] Speaker B: Gut slash target takes 1D4 bleed.
[01:09:26] Speaker A: Let's go.
[01:09:28] Speaker B: 1D4 persistent bleed.
And.
[01:09:34] Speaker A: Well.
[01:09:34] Speaker B: And doesn't really need to worry about that too much because he with his claws essentially just slices this thing in half.
[01:09:43] Speaker A: Grandpapa, how does it feel to be the coolest filer?
[01:09:47] Speaker B: The bar is really, really low.
[01:09:49] Speaker D: Can you say not a hide.
[01:09:51] Speaker A: Bright and clear.
[01:09:54] Speaker E: It's just like the bar's low.
[01:09:55] Speaker A: But Peregrine exists. The bar is a little higher than.
[01:10:00] Speaker B: Lou or her parents.
[01:10:03] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:10:05] Speaker B: All right. And it's the old flower's turn.
And nope. Does not get its thing back. So it does nothing this turn.
And Nile help us finish out the round.
[01:10:19] Speaker C: Run. Run.
[01:10:20] Speaker E: I want to get the out of here. Kind of, actually.
So a lot of the enemies are just dealt with right now.
[01:10:26] Speaker C: Right.
[01:10:27] Speaker E: Are there any?
[01:10:27] Speaker B: The only one. The only ones left is if in is fighting Yuri.
[01:10:33] Speaker E: Okay.
[01:10:33] Speaker C: Yuri's gonna look at you to say run.
[01:10:36] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:10:37] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm running.
It's kind of hard to see. Just out of character. The map. Like, I can't tell what token is what. So I'm gonna use my first action to get the over here. Which is great.
[01:10:49] Speaker A: I'm just.
[01:10:51] Speaker E: Yes. I feel ill. Hi, Lou.
[01:10:54] Speaker C: Hi.
[01:10:58] Speaker E: I don't know if Yuri's gonna be okay now. Really doesn't want to leave Yuri behind, but I'm also like in a good distance away.
It's a free action. Look at Lou and be like, are we leaving Yuri?
[01:11:14] Speaker A: Hopefully Yuri will be all right.
If we're slower, we better run.
[01:11:25] Speaker E: All right.
[01:11:25] Speaker A: Maybe get as far as you can and throw something over your shoulder.
[01:11:30] Speaker E: Yeah. Most of my range spells are two actions. The thing. That's why I'm thinking right now that's a fortitude save. Do I have a single action?
No. A lot of mine are just two actions. Damn.
[01:11:45] Speaker A: Okay, I have. I have something. If Yori doesn't take care of it themselves.
[01:11:49] Speaker E: Oh, wait.
[01:11:49] Speaker A: No. Hold on.
[01:11:49] Speaker E: I have a message. I need to get the out of here. I remembered that a wild plot point appeared. So my next movement is going to be over here. I'm marking it off because it's 25ft each time. I don't want to like lose track.
[01:12:02] Speaker B: Of where I'm supposed to be.
[01:12:04] Speaker E: And my third action.
Guess I'm going to be over here.
[01:12:10] Speaker C: I can hit the bricks.
[01:12:13] Speaker A: Get out of there.
[01:12:14] Speaker C: All right.
[01:12:15] Speaker E: There we go.
[01:12:15] Speaker A: Those.
[01:12:15] Speaker E: My three actions are to move those three spaces.
[01:12:18] Speaker B: All right. And that brings back top of the round with Yuri.
[01:12:22] Speaker C: I can gonna kill this thing. Hopefully.
That is a 25.
[01:12:32] Speaker B: 25 hits.
[01:12:34] Speaker C: Let's go.
10. No, 15 slashing. Wait. 7 plus 3 is 10 plus 5. 15 slashing. 6 fire.
[01:12:51] Speaker B: Right. It's still standing.
[01:12:54] Speaker C: Reload pistol one action.
Shoot. Second action. Because it's off guard.
That's a 17 on the dice.
So that's.
That's another 25 again.
[01:13:19] Speaker B: 25. 25 hats.
[01:13:22] Speaker C: Let's go.
That is going to be 10 more piercing to the dome.
[01:13:33] Speaker B: It is still standing, but barely.
[01:13:40] Speaker C: Okay, well, that's my turn.
[01:13:44] Speaker A: So.
[01:13:44] Speaker B: Yeah. Which will bring us to Lou.
[01:13:47] Speaker A: Huh? Huh? Huh.
Alrighty. So.
So step one is throw a card at this sucker.
Do we have a hero point again yet?
Yeah, that's a natural one.
Goes wide. Goes way wide.
And no, screw it. I'm gonna. I'm gonna throw another card.
Cousin Dice is your last chance.
You're going back in the box.
That's so cocked.
Yeah. I just gotta threaten it with a natural 20.
[01:14:37] Speaker C: Let's go.
[01:14:40] Speaker A: Yep. Gotta got a nat 20.
[01:14:42] Speaker B: That sucker and grandfather like descendants.
[01:14:48] Speaker A: Yay.
That's gonna be 14.
Hang on. Let me double check that math. Plus.
Yeah. 14 plus plus fire. Because all my stuff is fire on these suckers.
Eight of it was slashing because I know it's resistant. That's why I keep separating it out. Yeah.
[01:15:11] Speaker B: And with that this card takes the head from the body, leaving everyone. And I imagine running is every. Everyone's is what you're doing. And as, as you're running and getting ready to leave, you watch as the flower starts to unfurl its petals in an attempt to spread more spores. And you all run out the door, sort of coming, seeing everything. And you send a message.
[01:15:40] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:15:41] Speaker B: So you do that, you do that and you hear the cawing. And then you watch as several of these alchemist fires are dropped and you all start running, running back to the mansion, figuring out what your plan is next. And we'll figure that out next time. Take us out.
[01:16:01] Speaker E: Thank you everyone for listening to a wonderful episode of Goblets and Gays. If you like what we do here, feel free to follow us on Blue sky, on Instagram, on Patreon, Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. I'm gonna just compile like a two and a half hour long blooper reel of nothing but comedy gold. AKA half of this cast has some sort of mental illness and it sure does show the, the blooper reel.
So give us a little support if you can. Give us a five star review if you can't. Because it is free to give us a five star review. And we always like the five star reviews. Everyone that I get, I frame them on my wall and I have a little, little army that's a lie. But I'll do it. Actually, I think it'll be fun. But anyways, stay safe. Cannibalism is free. Never eat a brain. And prions are one of the few things that are actually part of a human brain that typical medical disinfectants can actually kill.
[01:18:29] Speaker A: Sa.
