[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam. Waking up dreaming dark so long I cannot find meaning hold my hand let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all the these demons always roam me in this red light because me he is reaching out consuming. [00:01:31] Speaker B: Hello everybody and welcome back to Goblets and Gays. I'm Aubrey, your gm. I'll tosser my players introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get rolling into things. [00:01:41] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Aki and I play the vigilante Gravewing, who is a Nagaji's self monk and kineticist. We both use she her pronouns. [00:01:53] Speaker D: Hello, I am Faris, she her and I play Alouette. [00:01:56] Speaker E: Voil. [00:01:57] Speaker D: Also she her, a bardic thaumaturge beastkin doing her best while juggling a family curse, falling in love, and of course, the end of the world. [00:02:07] Speaker F: Hello, I'm Dusty. I use they, he pronouns and I'm playing Eu. Formerly Moran, still a problem, just angrier now. They are a blood hunter nephilim problem. Just. Just trying to fix things, even though it's all bad. They also use they he pronouns. [00:02:32] Speaker G: Hello, I'm Sparlock and I play Alistair Whiskerfield, the great rat detective, arcane archer and wizard extraordinaire, the revolutionary firebrand, sworn enemy to the scriabins and scourge of the bourgeoisie and master of Nicodemus Tower. We both use he, him pronouns. [00:02:55] Speaker H: Hi, I'm Tick. I use he, she, they pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, who uses he, they pronouns. He cooks, he cleans, he eats people, and has an alien parasite living in his spine, slowly consuming him. What more could you ask for? [00:03:07] Speaker E: Hi, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play Laith Idrisi, the fourth Dampier, dandy, rogue, failed matricide with a negative one constitution modifier. Laith uses she any pronouns. [00:03:20] Speaker B: So what happened last time we caught them all. [00:03:25] Speaker H: It was Lorelai's partner in like a romantic sense specifically. To be clear, they were. They were married with zero kids. We did some fun interrogation and honestly, she just kind of. Wait, what. What are girls pronouns again? [00:03:42] Speaker D: Clover? [00:03:45] Speaker B: See her. [00:03:46] Speaker H: Thank you. She's kind of like, damn, the bloody blades are kind of going to shit and I kind of want to be at least on a side that's kind of winning a little bit. And also, you didn't tie these ropes tight enough, so we're having another fight real quick. Also, you didn't get on my knives, so it's gonna be a really shitty fight real quick. And she did try to bust out. We did put her in the Wizard Tower though, which is the building that you can't leave. And if you try to, you burst into frames without consent. You need consent. [00:04:14] Speaker B: There are windows. [00:04:17] Speaker H: You can break out the windows. I thought if you tried to leave. [00:04:20] Speaker B: It's known only if you try to enter without permission. [00:04:23] Speaker C: I have also jumped out a window to chase after giant flying bird Lou in real time. [00:04:29] Speaker H: Oh, you mean the session I wasn't here for? [00:04:31] Speaker C: Oh, you're right. Maybe there was nothing. [00:04:37] Speaker D: You know what? [00:04:37] Speaker H: I thought that's why we were bringing her there in the first place, because she couldn't leave. Okay, that brings a lot more tension to the table. Yeah, she could definitely leave. Unfortunately, we have the power of beating the shit out of her first. So she didn't get to leave. We have tied her up and we're kind of sitting around her like, damn, do we keep her alive in here and see if we can get more info or do we just kill her? Because honestly, looks at her, she kind of almost killed us, like on her own a little bit. As in a lot. Alastor made some nice heavy duty handcuffs just in case. I wanted to keep her alive and Lorelei gave the thumbs up. And it's just like you can. You can kill my lover. She's betrayed me as she looks out towards the sunset. Except there's no sun. [00:05:18] Speaker D: So just the set. [00:05:19] Speaker H: Just. Just the sky actually. Damn. It's less dramatic now, but yeah, we are currently deliberating if she's going to get to live or if she's going to get to die. Let's all place our votes now. [00:05:34] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't kill. You have currently have the unconscious clover tied to a chair or my manacled to a chair. And yeah, her fate is in your hands. [00:05:52] Speaker H: Oh, I do think that we should kill her. [00:05:57] Speaker F: I mean, she's either going to escape, kill more people, go back to Johnny, get killed, or try to do it herself. I don't. I'm particularly not in the wheelhouse of keeping any prisoners, so I think we just. Mercy killer. She's not gonna tell us anything else that we don't know. [00:06:26] Speaker B: Excuse me. [00:06:27] Speaker C: Grave Wing is gonna be like. Graven was like thinking really, really hard, arms crossed, leaning on a wall, and we'll just kind of nod at that. Yeah, yeah, no, we. I think we really do gotta kill her. I would prefer it done while she's. [00:07:00] Speaker D: Still. [00:07:02] Speaker C: Knocked out like this. [00:07:05] Speaker H: I agree. It's more merciful that way. [00:07:13] Speaker C: One more Thing. [00:07:13] Speaker D: Nile. [00:07:17] Speaker C: I really don't want you to eat her. [00:07:20] Speaker D: Please. [00:07:22] Speaker C: I wouldn't. I would never deny you a meal, but it's. If I'm being real honest, I can't let you do this one. [00:07:32] Speaker H: I can accept that if you're willing to come with me to help me get something else to eat. Because I'm very hungry. [00:07:40] Speaker C: Yeah, okay. [00:07:42] Speaker E: Okay. [00:07:44] Speaker H: Did you want to do the honors? Well, not honors. It's a phrase. [00:07:50] Speaker C: I really don't want to, but again. [00:07:54] Speaker H: Okay, if you don't want to, I can, but it's up to you. [00:08:00] Speaker E: Ugh. [00:08:01] Speaker C: No, I can do it. I don't know. Maybe it's nicer that way. [00:08:07] Speaker D: I think Lou, who kind of already said her piece on all this and realizes that she is utterly outnumbered. And the alternative is to what, Fight the group? So she is simply going to leave the room. [00:08:25] Speaker G: I'll follow Lou out. [00:08:29] Speaker C: I will quietly psych myself up to do it. Say a little. Say a little prayer to. Not the star mother, maybe the voice, because for a long time, Clover was doing a lot of good. And then I'm just gonna real quick snap our neck. [00:09:02] Speaker B: Just a moment and it's done. And it's somber moment. You have a body to dispose of and plants you need to make. Johnny certainly isn't going away, and it's only gonna get worse from here. [00:09:32] Speaker D: I. [00:09:35] Speaker C: I think in. In the best term is funeral arrangements. It's not really a proper funeral. It's a lot better than. Excuse me. It's a lot better than people at, like, coffin, walk get. But burning the body is probably the way we're gonna go about disposing. And so I think it's. I think after a bit of time, one gonna put her in, like, a robe or dress or something modest because we did strip her of, like, her armor and stuff, and I'm not gonna fucking bury her like that. Well, burn her like that. Put her in something. Maybe put a blanket over that too, and kind of. I'll let Lorelei know it's done and ask her how she wants to. Does she want people to know? Does she want other others in the blades to know? It's real hard. It's their thing. [00:10:46] Speaker B: Yeah, Lorelai would say that she will talk to the plates. She'll let them know as much as she would want to keep something like this or not, tell them she doesn't feel right hiding it from them, even if it's the easier option. [00:11:09] Speaker C: Also, when your ranks are divided, you really can't be hiding things anymore. [00:11:21] Speaker B: She will Head out for the night and go gather what remains of the blades and tell them what happened. So I ask everyone, what are you doing? To forget about it for a little bit. Or are you not? [00:11:46] Speaker F: I think Yuri specifically wants to keep working or doing something. I think I would bring it up, I don't know, in. Not like directly after, but like within the same day. Well, what do you think we should do next about Johnny Sir? Stuff we want to do before we try to confront them. Or we could try talking to my cousin in disguise. Obviously. Let's see if I could get info from them and maybe help them grow a spine. But you know. [00:12:37] Speaker C: Where we spent this entire time? Probably sitting in the same room where Clover's body is. I am choosing to not forget because I don't give myself that opportunity to. To. To or privilege really, to. To do those kinds of things. Especially when I take a life. I'll probably turn to Yuri and say, we need as much information as we can on him. We need. First time I got him, we quite literally spent. We spent years setting up the perfect time to strike. We had to wait for an opportunity. We helped cause several of those. But that was months. Months of things, small things going wrong. So the stars could fucking align and we could take him out. Because he had that many people and he is. If he was able to get Clover and some of the remaining blades to turn on us, we don't got that kind of time. But we need to have every advantage because it's not just him that we gotta take out. It's his goons. It's the blades who turned. It's all of them. He's a fucking disease. You gotta wipe that out. [00:14:25] Speaker F: Sorry, Aubrey. Are they like senators or congress people? [00:14:28] Speaker D: What. [00:14:29] Speaker F: What is the Senators? [00:14:30] Speaker B: Each district has a senator. It is night, so you will have to wait for the following morning. [00:14:35] Speaker F: Huh. But it's Alice, right? Alice Moran or Alicia Moran? [00:14:40] Speaker B: Alice. Okay. [00:14:43] Speaker F: That I could say, like, cool. Bother the senator, Alice, to see what they threatened them with. [00:14:56] Speaker E: I'll join you. [00:15:00] Speaker F: That'll be tomorrow. [00:15:02] Speaker B: Yeah. So, Alistair, Lou. You left before all of this happened. Did you stay in the tower? Did you leave? Do you need space? [00:15:19] Speaker G: I mean, I live here. I can't exactly go anywhere. [00:15:27] Speaker F: Right? [00:15:27] Speaker D: Because everyone will combust and they leave. [00:15:31] Speaker B: Only when they try to get back in the tower. You can leave without any problems. It's only when you try to get back in the tower. Towers only builds. Keep people from getting in, not getting out. [00:15:45] Speaker G: What's a. What's a good. I don't Read any poetry because I'm lame. Like, I'm trying. I'm being like, okay, so Alistair's gonna sit and read something. I'm, like, trying to think. I'm thinking, like, War and Peace, which I haven't read, but that doesn't seem thematically correct. Maybe some poet, but right now. [00:16:14] Speaker B: The. [00:16:14] Speaker G: Only thing that comes to mind is, like, Shel Silverstein, which is not totally appropriate. Like, what's in choice? I just. I don't read much poetry. [00:16:29] Speaker D: Gates would probably be good. [00:16:31] Speaker B: Yates. Yeah, Yates would be a good one. But, yeah, you do have. I would also have very interesting implications for this world if Yates was here. [00:16:42] Speaker G: We're like, we've done weird things. [00:16:47] Speaker E: Or. [00:16:50] Speaker G: Why am I. Why am I drawing a blank on poets? Like, seriously, like, because I know. I know more than one. As little poetry as I read. God, everybody's seeing how uncultured I am. [00:17:09] Speaker D: You could make up a poet because we're in fantasy land. [00:17:13] Speaker B: And there's also Zassel, who you did meet last season through Zuri's ex. And you definitely have a lot of poetry books from now. [00:17:22] Speaker G: Yeah, but do they have. Are they, like, mopey enough? [00:17:29] Speaker B: I mean, there's probably an entire book that was written after the breakup with Yuri that is very. [00:17:35] Speaker G: You know what. And it's all about how Yuri is a terrible person and it's really dark and mopey. I think that's perfect. Yeah, I think. [00:17:47] Speaker E: Who. [00:17:48] Speaker F: Who is it? Is it Lou or Lathe that has a signed copy of it? [00:17:52] Speaker D: Both, technically. [00:17:54] Speaker B: Yeah. I think they're. [00:17:57] Speaker D: I gave a copy to Lathe. I don't remember which one, though it might have been the love poems. [00:18:03] Speaker G: And I cannot become a rat right now, I don't think. [00:18:10] Speaker B: Unless I took that. [00:18:12] Speaker G: Nope. I did not take that for feet. And I don't have that spell prepared today because we had more important things I had to replace it with. Signals skyrocket. So I'm reading the poetry all about Yuri and wishing I could be in my pest form for a little bit. [00:18:34] Speaker B: Lou. [00:18:36] Speaker D: I think she probably goes to a chapel for. Nope. What are they called? Planetarium? Observatory. What did you call it? [00:18:45] Speaker B: Observatory. Yeah. [00:18:46] Speaker D: Observatory. [00:18:47] Speaker B: Yeah. Any particular deity? [00:18:57] Speaker D: No. If she can find one that's dedicated to more than one, then she'd go there. But otherwise, probably just the star mother. [00:19:04] Speaker B: Yeah. There is certainly a. If you head over into the Ravenswood district, there are certainly several that kind of host many faiths. Mainly star mother. But yeah, it's. It's at night, it's quiet. [00:19:31] Speaker D: Just is Going to. To pray and then probably get drunk. Not at the. Not at the Observatory. Obviously a different location. [00:19:42] Speaker B: Best respect for. [00:19:43] Speaker E: Don't say obviously. It could be there. [00:19:47] Speaker D: Maybe not at the Star Mothers. There is a couple that I think maybe yes, but not the Star Mothers. [00:19:56] Speaker B: So. Yeah, I mean you can easily wander into the Darklight Bazaar. There are plenty of bars there. [00:20:07] Speaker D: We'll do so. [00:20:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:20:11] Speaker D: And we'll definitely rebuff anyone who tries to talk to her. [00:20:17] Speaker B: And Nyle, you go fetch a snack as a treat. And eventually Laith, was there anything you wanted to do with your night? [00:20:37] Speaker E: Yeah, Leith is going to go to a bar also in Darklight, probably before Lou gets there. Buy a drink, not drink it, and find someone to hook up with. [00:20:53] Speaker B: Yeah, well, super easy. [00:20:56] Speaker G: It's not nice to talk about them that way. [00:21:01] Speaker B: So eventually the next morning rolls around and if you all want, you can reconvene back in the manor to. [00:21:16] Speaker F: Have. [00:21:17] Speaker B: Any discussions and eat breakfast or you know, figure out whatever you're doing for the day. Is it is about half. A little over halfway through the week. You have probably about two days left of the week. [00:21:33] Speaker H: You guys get an extra fancy breakfast because Nile's in a good mood now. You get the words, the coffee, the everything. [00:21:46] Speaker C: I'm not saying no to that. I'm eating. Oh, Aubrey. During that. During the night or maybe early in proverbial morning. Did I hear back from the blades. Bloody blades. At all. Have they figured out their arrangements yet or. [00:22:11] Speaker B: No, you haven't heard yet. I. I think Lorel was going to talk to them that night because it was already like going into night when. So you'll probably hear today. She also may just need a little bit of time. [00:22:30] Speaker C: Yeah, no, that's fair. I just want to keep. I want to keep on track of this. [00:22:35] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:22:35] Speaker C: And also I know that. I know that the tower is just very safeguarded, but I don't want to. I don't. I don't feel comfortable leaving the body alone there in the tower. So it's like if I'm. If. If that place needs to be watched, I'm watching it. I'll come over here to eat and freshen up. I'm going back. [00:22:58] Speaker B: Yeah. So that. Who is going to go in this fact finding mission? Me. [00:23:10] Speaker F: Anyone else that would need that can disguise himself. Importantly. [00:23:19] Speaker D: I can make you whatever talismans you need. [00:23:23] Speaker H: I'm a little good at lying and talking if you want me to come. [00:23:28] Speaker F: It. Maybe not. [00:23:32] Speaker D: Oh. [00:23:35] Speaker F: Yuri just. No, it's like maybe not this, you. [00:23:39] Speaker D: Know, now looks down. [00:23:41] Speaker H: Sadly. [00:23:43] Speaker D: Oh. [00:23:45] Speaker G: What did Nile do to you? [00:23:48] Speaker F: Nothing. I, I. [00:23:51] Speaker H: Do you think I'm not too good at gathering information? [00:23:54] Speaker D: Is that it? [00:23:55] Speaker F: No, I just. I just Yuri's gonna look at late. [00:24:00] Speaker E: That was Alyssa. Sorry. That wasn't late. [00:24:03] Speaker F: Yuri's gonna look at late cuz know what she was going to say and stops her from saying it. It's just you're probably more useful here and I don't mean that negative. [00:24:21] Speaker H: I disagree with you, but I don't have the energy to care, so I'll stay here. [00:24:26] Speaker F: I don't know why I feel bad about this. [00:24:32] Speaker H: I'm not mad. [00:24:33] Speaker D: I say madly. [00:24:36] Speaker C: You you should also probably go and I look to Alistair. If anyone's gonna find anything, it's actively going to be the greatest mouse detective. Just let me in your tower, please. I don't want to blow up. [00:24:56] Speaker G: Absolutely. I was just thinking about how I was going to disguise myself. I mean, I am a little more obvious. [00:25:07] Speaker D: Once again, get you a talisman. Just ask. We have the masquerade scarf. If there's one thing this group can do, it is put on a disguise. It is our one big skill. [00:25:22] Speaker C: It's a very important skill in this campaign for extremely. Oh my God. [00:25:28] Speaker D: It is not to be underrated at all, but it is something we have nailed down. We can disguise every member of the group. [00:25:35] Speaker G: Wait, so we're not like leaving Nile because they're mouthy? [00:25:42] Speaker E: Leaving them because they're mouthy in a different way? [00:25:48] Speaker F: I. The implication is Yuri didn't want a big group to go all at once. Especially to me with another like family member that probably doesn't like them. Le already knows this, so they're not surprised. [00:26:01] Speaker H: It took me three minutes to charm your mom. You don't want to bring me? That's okay. [00:26:06] Speaker F: My mom's evil and I still charmed her. [00:26:12] Speaker B: Oh, she was charming you. [00:26:14] Speaker H: I was not charmed. [00:26:16] Speaker F: You made her sandwiches. [00:26:18] Speaker H: I did. I make everyone's sandwiches. [00:26:22] Speaker B: You're not special. [00:26:23] Speaker H: Yeah, she ain't special. [00:26:26] Speaker C: No, that wouldn't that be hilarious though? If that's the that if, if Nile being like a super sweetie and your mom being soft on Niall. If that's the way we get her. [00:26:39] Speaker F: Jesus Christ. [00:26:41] Speaker C: Can you imagine just, just now being. [00:26:45] Speaker F: Nile than Yuri just just Nile being. [00:26:48] Speaker C: Like, you know, I, I. Oh my God. We send Nile to her being like, can I ask for your blessings so I may propose to your child? And you know what she would say? [00:27:00] Speaker E: Yes. [00:27:00] Speaker C: Shut the up to the aether. It's in the universe now. Give it to me. You like the idea? [00:27:14] Speaker D: Look at that. [00:27:15] Speaker B: We'll see. [00:27:17] Speaker F: No, I'm disowned on my. [00:27:24] Speaker C: But would Nile the. The. The civilian know that? Maybe not. Maybe not. No, I don't think so. [00:27:33] Speaker E: In fact. [00:27:34] Speaker C: In fact, he. [00:27:34] Speaker F: He. [00:27:35] Speaker C: She might think. Oh, the simple folk. So sweet. Oh, you know my child is no good for you. Actually, I invites you for tea. [00:27:46] Speaker B: Come on. Come on. [00:27:49] Speaker G: Poison. [00:27:50] Speaker E: See the vision, it happens. [00:27:54] Speaker F: Probably like Mao. [00:27:54] Speaker G: Mao. [00:27:55] Speaker F: Anyways, but like. No. [00:27:59] Speaker B: Well, so we have the team of Yuri Lathe and Alistair headed into Salvation Row to go meet with Alice Moran. And is any one of you going as yourself or are you not. [00:28:23] Speaker F: I don't think any of us should be ourselves. I think else there. I think you should even turn into a different rodent. Or a half link. What if we. What if we. Human Shrek. You? [00:28:40] Speaker G: Yeah, I. I think the. Like a really short cat folk. [00:28:48] Speaker F: Okay, that's good, that's good. [00:28:51] Speaker H: Like Human Shrek. [00:28:53] Speaker C: Human Shrek? No, human monster. [00:28:55] Speaker B: The monster hunter. [00:28:56] Speaker D: Monster hunter game. The Palico. Palico. Yo. [00:28:59] Speaker C: Human track them. Human track. Human track. Human track. [00:29:01] Speaker D: Human track. [00:29:03] Speaker C: Human track. [00:29:03] Speaker H: A very short. [00:29:04] Speaker D: Human track. [00:29:05] Speaker C: Human track. Human track. [00:29:06] Speaker F: Oh, halfling, you know. [00:29:08] Speaker C: Yes. [00:29:09] Speaker E: Human track. [00:29:10] Speaker C: Human track. Human track. [00:29:15] Speaker G: What's. [00:29:16] Speaker F: What's halfling Alice look like? [00:29:23] Speaker G: I don't even know. [00:29:25] Speaker B: I'm. [00:29:28] Speaker C: No, hear me out. You look like david cover at sherlock. [00:29:34] Speaker D: David? Yes. [00:29:36] Speaker H: Benedict cumberbatch. [00:29:38] Speaker C: Oh, benedict, yeah. Why? I said david. [00:29:40] Speaker B: Who the is david? David? [00:29:45] Speaker C: I'm like, who's david? [00:29:51] Speaker G: You know, I. I can kind of see that. Like, not like he does have. In not the traditional way you would use this word, but he does kind of have a mousy bone structure. [00:30:09] Speaker C: Yes. [00:30:10] Speaker H: I thought you're gonna say a homosexual aura. [00:30:13] Speaker E: I just. [00:30:13] Speaker C: You just. You just. I just really want that. I just. I just want you to be a Sherlock, though. I'm gonna be right back. [00:30:21] Speaker D: Sure, sure. [00:30:22] Speaker F: Fan artist. Hear me. [00:30:27] Speaker D: It's gonna be like one of the other Sherlock's named David. But no, no. [00:30:33] Speaker F: David Blaine. [00:30:34] Speaker B: I don't know, I mean, there is. There is a Sherlock. There's a Sherlock Holmes after Basil Rathbone. [00:30:43] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, he was very famous. He was like the first Sherlock. [00:30:47] Speaker B: Wasn't he first, like stage one of the first. [00:30:50] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:30:54] Speaker H: Yeah. [00:30:54] Speaker D: He had the most Sherlock names next to Sherlock. [00:30:58] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:30:59] Speaker D: Not to mention a very British name. [00:31:01] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:31:02] Speaker B: Incredibly Stare. Or Halfling. Alistair. What are you going as? Yuri. And also, what is your story to get in there? Because yet again, you're approaching the senator of a district you're going to need some sort of. They are not just going to open up their doors for just a bunch of random people. [00:31:25] Speaker C: Twins. [00:31:28] Speaker F: Yes. Yes. We probably have dirt on them. Le probably has dirt on them. [00:31:35] Speaker E: Yeah, they're Dampiers. [00:31:37] Speaker D: Gross. [00:31:42] Speaker F: Oh my God. The Dampier twins like visiting Coffin Walk with their. Yeah, sorry. Salvation row. Yeah, I should know this. The twins and our lawyer friend who's Alistair need to try to maybe try to enter to talk about. I don't know what, like rezoning stuff about rezoning Salvation Row to something else for more money or whatever. So we have better ideas. I'm just saying stuff. [00:32:24] Speaker E: I mean, I was gonna say just. Presumably they meet already. Actually, can I make a gossip check or something or just a society check to see what I know about this senator. And if they are unbroken. [00:32:43] Speaker F: Could I do a legal lore check on that as well? [00:32:48] Speaker E: I don't have legal lore. [00:32:51] Speaker F: Bounty hunter. [00:32:54] Speaker E: That is only a 24 for gossip. [00:32:59] Speaker H: I'm kind of surprised that Yuri has legal lore and ended up being a deer instead of a bird like they should have been at Phoenix, right? [00:33:08] Speaker B: Get out. [00:33:09] Speaker G: While we're doing it. I did a blind GM roll for my conspiracy lore. [00:33:16] Speaker E: Yeah, let's hear the conspiracies. [00:33:19] Speaker F: I got a 30 on legal lore. [00:33:22] Speaker B: 30 on legal lore. We'll start with lathe. Is you're unsure if Alice is on part of the Unbroken? Alice was before Yuri came along and did everything Yuri did. Alice was considered the black sheep of the family. [00:33:41] Speaker E: And Yuri stole their title. [00:33:46] Speaker B: I mean the politics is. Is better but unfortunately they were not assigned to a favorable district which certainly took them down in a few estimations in their family. And they've been serving the district for about 15 years and generally re. Elections happen every couple of years and they just. They keep getting reelected. They don't like to cause problems. To be fair, for the last bunch of years the district had pretty well managed itself with the blades and there wasn't a lot of work that was needed to do on her end. But things certainly may be souring for her as she gave up a bunch of people because of everything that happened. You know, with the execution last season and Yuri, you. You will definitely know that like the family kind of has excluded. Excluded her from a lot of stuff. It's. It's. Yet again, it's. She is. You know, she is your. Your aunt. And your mother doesn't talk to her views her as a bit of a failure. [00:35:09] Speaker F: Oh, we get along so well. [00:35:13] Speaker B: And yeah, Alistair, you're. You're relatively sure. That Alice is taking so many bribes onto the table for. [00:35:28] Speaker G: For. [00:35:28] Speaker B: For things in the district, especially. It's. I mean, especially having a district full that was being essentially run by a bunch of thieves, cutthroats and assassins. Lorelei had to be paying her something. And if she's turned. Turned over so easily, perhaps Johnny's paying her even more. [00:35:50] Speaker F: I would definitely bring this up. Well, I think the only other person my mother likes less than me is Alice. So I don't think Artencia would even allow them to be in the unbroken just for fear of seeing them all the time. What do you think? Do you think the twins meet them often enough? [00:36:19] Speaker E: I mean, I was banking on it being. On them being part of the unbroken, but maybe it would be better to go as Johnny and Clover. [00:36:33] Speaker B: Jesus. [00:36:36] Speaker E: Who'S that? One of your exes. [00:36:40] Speaker F: Yuri, like, starts looking away. It does. Like the slowest turn to you. Do we need to know what do we know what Johnny looks like. [00:36:54] Speaker E: And graveling does. [00:36:56] Speaker B: Graveling does. But neither of you would. Because Johnny is very good at keeping himself hidden. [00:37:05] Speaker C: I think graveling would have. Because graveling would have yapped about him for quite some time. And I think Grave Wing would have mentioned that he's a very. He's. He'll put idea guys in the front, but he's like the brain. You don't. You don't meet him unless he wants to meet you kind of vibe. [00:37:29] Speaker E: So maybe she doesn't know what he looks like either. [00:37:33] Speaker F: It's probably true. Do you think. Who do you think would look? [00:37:41] Speaker B: I mean, Craven could give you, like, a reasonable description of what he looks like too, because. So she's seen him. [00:37:49] Speaker C: If it's too many times. [00:37:52] Speaker F: Yeah. If it's close enough, it'll probably work. [00:37:56] Speaker C: Also, you probably wouldn't even have to be him. You could just be Clover and some goon. [00:38:02] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:38:03] Speaker C: If he does. If he is known for not showing up, why would he show up? To look at properties. [00:38:09] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Then there's also. If you're changing the plan to that. What's Alistair being. Just a second goon. [00:38:17] Speaker F: A goon two. Goon number two. Well, read goon number two. [00:38:24] Speaker C: In other slang. You're all pervs. Perv one, perv two, pervom. [00:38:31] Speaker F: You know, and Clover. [00:38:34] Speaker G: I think if we're literally goons, it's worse than pervs. And that's not a mental image. I need. [00:38:43] Speaker H: The Gooner gang. [00:38:47] Speaker F: I. Yeah, I think. I think I'll take the vague approximation of Johnny just to, like, have that aura, like Threatening aura, I assume Lathe. You'd. You'd be Clover. [00:39:03] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:39:05] Speaker F: You. You're good at stabbing as well. [00:39:09] Speaker B: And. [00:39:12] Speaker F: Alistair, you could probably just be like I'm a thing. [00:39:15] Speaker G: I'm thinking like Sherlock. Benedict Cumberbatch. [00:39:23] Speaker F: Cumberbatch. [00:39:27] Speaker G: Benedict Cumberba Bops like but mixed with the accountant. [00:39:39] Speaker F: Matt Damon. [00:39:41] Speaker D: The. [00:39:41] Speaker G: Well, just that. Yes, but not the look, just the. Just the aura. Like this is the nerdy guy that you bring with like got the. Got the briefcase full of money for the bribes. [00:39:59] Speaker F: Okay. Our extortion. That could be extortion. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's. But I. Yeah. [00:40:11] Speaker G: So a hobbit. The accountant. Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes. Man, I. I keep forgetting to say his name wrong. [00:40:23] Speaker F: David Cumberbatch. [00:40:26] Speaker C: That is now your name. That is your alias name. Who are you? [00:40:30] Speaker F: David. [00:40:30] Speaker G: David Cumber. [00:40:31] Speaker C: David Cumberbatch. [00:40:34] Speaker F: We found them on the street. [00:40:36] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:40:37] Speaker F: Selling rocks. Oh yeah. [00:40:42] Speaker B: It does not take you that long to get the disguises. And you find yourself standing before Alice Bran's home. [00:40:53] Speaker F: I'm going to motion for Alistair to knock on the door. [00:40:59] Speaker B: Door. [00:40:59] Speaker F: Because that feels the kind of like whack energy that these two would bring. At least evil Clover. [00:41:08] Speaker B: Yeah, it. It takes a minute but this sort of small modest home. And you watch as the door opens and Yuri you see Alice Moran. She is sort of a bookish looking tiefling with a similar color scheme. Just what you have currently. The dress that she is wearing is old and threadbare and she pushes up a pair of spectacles on her face as she looks around and Clover is the one who her eyes land on and immediately she kind of blanches a little bit and just says why are you doing this in the day daylight? Come. Come in. Come in. [00:41:50] Speaker F: I follow Ashton. The other two. Yeah. [00:41:55] Speaker B: Yeah. And the door is shut behind you. And she says you're several days early. What are you doing here? [00:42:04] Speaker E: Things are advancing rather quickly. Have you not noticed what's happening in your own district? [00:42:11] Speaker B: Give me a deception check, all of you. [00:42:16] Speaker E: I used a hero point for a 34. [00:42:21] Speaker G: That is a natural one. I'm gonna go ahead and use a hero point as well. [00:42:25] Speaker D: Please do. [00:42:26] Speaker F: I got a 25. [00:42:31] Speaker G: We did it, folks. Two natural ones in a row. [00:42:35] Speaker B: No. [00:42:35] Speaker E: Okay. I do have distracting flattery which means. Means that I can observe a target's attitude towards yourself or your allies decrease as a result of allies behavior that is Alistair lying really bad and attempt to mitigate it. So I would like to roll that please. [00:42:56] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. You can. It's less of Alistair even saying anything. It's more of just Alistair is. You know, it's like when you see a really bad action extra in, in a thing and they're just like. [00:43:13] Speaker C: Alistair is Ed Sheeran in Game of Thrones, where everybody clocked him, immediately went, what the. [00:43:21] Speaker E: That is 37 versus the real DC 37. [00:43:24] Speaker B: Yet you, you do that. It's just. Still shouldn't have done this during the day. Anyone could have seen you. [00:43:34] Speaker E: Are you really in the position to be telling us what to do, Senator? [00:43:41] Speaker B: I thought there were people hunting you. That's why you said we needed to do this at night. [00:43:46] Speaker E: And you think that we don't realize that well enough to know when we can and cannot move? [00:43:52] Speaker B: Fine. It. It doesn't. Doesn't matter. What do you need? You need to be quick. I have another meeting arriving soon. [00:44:02] Speaker F: Me trying to think of something that makes sense to ask. Do you have an idea? Do you want to say this, Clover? [00:44:11] Speaker E: I mean, what did you want? I don't know why we're here. I just wanted to come along. [00:44:22] Speaker F: I think. Okay, I think from back there, I. [00:44:29] Speaker E: I for real, Will you tell me above table, why we're here? [00:44:33] Speaker F: I mean, I wanted to get information on Johnny and so I assume if they're taking bribes, they know like where they're staying. What, like how they're getting around the city, who they're hiring, that kind of stuff. [00:44:47] Speaker G: So you just think about where we live. [00:44:50] Speaker F: I, Well, I think I. Right now, as John is, I'm trying to just be an intimidating presence in the back, letting you do talking for now. That makes sense, since they've already obviously have an established repertoire with Clover. [00:45:05] Speaker B: You're gonna ask where do we live? [00:45:08] Speaker F: No, Leith is smarter than that. [00:45:12] Speaker E: Leith, I think will just say. [00:45:17] Speaker D: This. [00:45:17] Speaker E: Isn'T the sort of thing that we can rush. We're happy to wait until after your meeting. [00:45:24] Speaker B: Is there What? She's, she's very obviously frustrated and she's just like, I can't have you in here when I'm meeting with them. [00:45:40] Speaker C: Can I say something above table? Yeah, y' all just extort her. Say you need, say you need collateral, so you need to force her to write literally the plan out, because if the plan fails, the fall has to go to her. You guys know above. You guys know in character that Johnny is working with a team. Johnny can be pressured. [00:46:08] Speaker B: Johnny is staying in the Silver Fox, even though he's there. [00:46:14] Speaker C: So if you need like a full body plan, just make her write out the Collateral? [00:46:19] Speaker F: Yeah. No, but I think I'm gonna take this moment and just from the back. Who are you meeting that's more important than this. [00:46:32] Speaker B: Is the leader of the whole holy blood. You know, he doesn't like you. He just works with you because sickness tells him to. [00:46:42] Speaker F: Jesus Christ. Out of character. Jesus Christ. Do you really think we should wait till after this meeting? I'm look at Clover Lathe. [00:46:55] Speaker C: I think. [00:46:55] Speaker E: Does she not have somewhere to hide us to a. [00:47:00] Speaker B: It's a small house. [00:47:02] Speaker E: Damn senator, you live like this? Okay. [00:47:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:47:09] Speaker E: I don't. I don't have anything so dusty. [00:47:12] Speaker B: The. The idea of the collateral, you know, was pretty good. [00:47:16] Speaker F: No. Okay. So like if. If like you don't say anything to that, then I'll just say. Well with things more dangerous, you know, with these self pompous people trying to get our heads. I think we need a little collateral if we were to keep you safe. [00:47:41] Speaker B: Give me an intimidation roll. Would any of the other two of you like to aid? [00:47:48] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:47:51] Speaker E: That'S a 26. Intimidation to aid. [00:47:56] Speaker F: Nice. That. That's a plus two, right? [00:48:02] Speaker B: Yes, that is a critical success. [00:48:05] Speaker F: Great. Adding that to my Nat 20, that is 34. [00:48:14] Speaker B: And she guess do you need. You already have so much. I don't have anything else valuable here. [00:48:22] Speaker F: Why don't you let me get some things in writing. Like say a confession just to be safe of your involvement. [00:48:38] Speaker B: There is a moment where her eyes slick between all three of you and. And she just goes fine, fine, you give it to you, but you have to leave after. Okay. [00:48:54] Speaker F: Just make sure to not reveal your whole hand to them. They're a pain in our ass as well. [00:49:06] Speaker B: They are. Yeah. And. And you watch as she goes over to this writing desk and quill ink and the piece of paper and is quickly sort of writing out this confession. [00:49:22] Speaker F: Could I while doing this could I go whisper to David Cumberbatch? Do you have any way of spying on this. Actually without you being here? Without you being here. That's the important part. [00:49:47] Speaker E: I mean here is a rat do like little ratty rats ping as people. If they're people hidden as rats. [00:49:55] Speaker F: That's. That's a spell. That's magic. I assume it would. Yes. [00:50:00] Speaker B: Yeah. If somebody used it's. Yeah. [00:50:06] Speaker F: Unless it was like a natural ability I think. But I don't think it's a non. It's a scroll so. Or a magic. [00:50:16] Speaker G: Excited about becoming a rat and then immediately boohoo to becoming a rat. [00:50:22] Speaker F: Well if they. If. If we can't hide here, that means they have some kind of like scrying or someone pinging. Detect magic or detect people or whatever. So we don't. One, we don't want David Cumberbatch to be caught. We definitely don't want the great mouse detective to be caught alone with the head of the Holy blood ratty Cumberbunch. [00:50:52] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:50:54] Speaker G: If I transformed while disguised, would my rat form be wearing a tiny little hat? [00:51:02] Speaker B: It's a great question. Do you want it to have a tiny little hat? [00:51:11] Speaker G: I have a small collection of rat sized clothes that I use at home when I'm transformed. [00:51:20] Speaker B: Clothes. Yeah. [00:51:21] Speaker F: Aubrey, do you think I would have one of those moths with me? [00:51:26] Speaker B: Theoretically, yes. Lou's only eaten two of them. [00:51:32] Speaker F: That means there's currently at least four left with the party because one went out to someone probably not that important to everyone else. Do you think there's a way I could prime it in order to accept messages? [00:51:51] Speaker B: Only if you were there while it was going on. And you have to speak into the box. And speak into the box. [00:51:59] Speaker F: That's unfortunately, that's very limited. Yeah, we all have. [00:52:03] Speaker B: You'd have. You would be able to get a paragraph at most. [00:52:06] Speaker F: We would need. We need to get some secret mics going. [00:52:13] Speaker B: The old listening devices. [00:52:15] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah. Steinhardt can make this. They can probably make one. Okay then. Yeah. I'm. My. That idea I'm gonna throw out for now. I'm just gonna wait for Alice to write everything out. Yeah. So unless the other two have anything else they want to ask our demand. [00:52:40] Speaker E: Not unless there was anything you told me to ask or demand. [00:52:47] Speaker B: So. Yeah. It does not take long at all. Three or four minutes before you're handed back. You watch as she takes a bit of wax and stamps this page with her wax seal, essentially confirming that it is from her. So it is notorized. A confession. [00:53:09] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:53:10] Speaker F: Beautiful. [00:53:12] Speaker B: Folds it up and hands it to you. [00:53:16] Speaker F: I will take it and say speak of this to anyone and you are just dead. [00:53:24] Speaker B: Of course, dead. Decides to say that every time. Please use the back door. [00:53:30] Speaker F: Say hi to Cygnus for me. [00:53:33] Speaker B: You'll probably see him before I do. [00:53:36] Speaker F: And I'm just going to wait for everyone just to leave in front of me. [00:53:42] Speaker G: I back out with like the weirdest like cat in a. Or like cat that caught the canary, like wide eyed look as I'm trying to pretend to be a halfling and failing. [00:53:57] Speaker B: You're like, how does this face work? [00:54:01] Speaker E: As we are getting shuffled out, can I vibe check Yuri to make sure they're not going to do Something silly. [00:54:08] Speaker B: Sure, yeah. [00:54:11] Speaker F: Why would you say that? [00:54:13] Speaker E: Because you're shuffling all of us out. Unfortunately, that's a two on the dice. [00:54:17] Speaker C: For. [00:54:20] Speaker E: 20 dirty. [00:54:24] Speaker B: So. Gary, are you. Do I need you to make a deception check? [00:54:31] Speaker F: I mean, that. That doesn't even pass my deception dc. So. [00:54:35] Speaker B: Okay, yeah, shuffle them out. [00:54:40] Speaker F: I'm following this time. I. I think I've had enough of being trapped in spaces with Cygnus are people that also want me very dead. [00:54:53] Speaker B: Look at that. Character growth. [00:54:56] Speaker F: Character growth. But I do want to suggest across. We hang out across the street to try to see if we can see anything. [00:55:03] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. If you want to do that, I'm gonna need stealth checks from everybody. [00:55:08] Speaker F: Well, I'm gonna ask everyone first, see if they're okay with that. [00:55:14] Speaker E: I mean, is there, like, a sort of eyeline into the building or anything? Or would we just be, like, sitting there outside? [00:55:24] Speaker B: I mean, you would be. You could probably stay down one of the alleys that has, like, a decent view of the house and kind of just skulk. [00:55:38] Speaker D: Okay. Yeah, I'm down. [00:55:41] Speaker F: Okay, cool. [00:55:44] Speaker E: 27 stealth. [00:55:48] Speaker F: All right, that is a 26 for. [00:55:51] Speaker G: Me and a 32 for me. [00:55:55] Speaker F: Let's go. Let's go. Cumberbatch. [00:55:59] Speaker B: Yeah, you all sort of find a appropriate alley to skulk in, and we'll get back to what you see in just a second. Lou, what are you up to this morning? [00:56:17] Speaker D: I don't remember how long ago this was, but it was probably just the beginning of the week at most. But did any siblings respond to meeting. [00:56:29] Speaker B: Invitations you sent them at the beginning of the week? [00:56:33] Speaker D: I think so. [00:56:35] Speaker H: Yeah. [00:56:36] Speaker B: That makes sense. [00:56:39] Speaker D: It was before we. We found our mole. I knew that. Much action. [00:56:48] Speaker B: I mean, yes, you did get a. We'll say the only one you've gotten so far is one from Paloma. [00:56:59] Speaker D: Sorry? [00:57:00] Speaker B: You got one from Paloma, but she said she's a little bit busy currently, and we'll meet you the beginning of the following week. [00:57:08] Speaker D: Okay. And everyone else either hasn't gotten back or is ignoring. Yes. [00:57:15] Speaker B: Are you staying at the manor? Are you doing anything in particular this morning? [00:57:21] Speaker D: Probably just getting out and about. Not. Not really. Any goals? Just being out and about, getting messages, running errands for anyone who needs some run. [00:57:36] Speaker B: Hey. [00:57:39] Speaker D: Oh, you know what she would want to make? Just kind of try to make that hand warmer for Graveling's sibling? No. A child. A niece. Nephew. [00:57:51] Speaker C: Yeah, my niece. My niece. [00:57:54] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Well, if you want to work on that, if you want to give me a crafting role. [00:58:07] Speaker D: 25:25. [00:58:10] Speaker B: It's. It's going to take you a few tries, but you're getting there. And you think you're. You're really narrowing in on, like, what, what you might need to do for that. [00:58:22] Speaker C: Okay. [00:58:23] Speaker B: And as you're running around doing errands, picking up some stuff at, like, in the Darklight Bazaar, you run into Juniper. Oh, Juniper appears to. To also be out and about trying to gather, just get some food, and she sort of sees you and smiles and kind of comes over and says, how are you doing? [00:59:00] Speaker D: Oh, you know, it is great. I'm doing great. How are you? [00:59:06] Speaker B: You know, you're all keeping me pretty busy. [00:59:09] Speaker D: Oh, I'm sorry. [00:59:11] Speaker B: No, no, it's not. [00:59:14] Speaker D: Are you sure? If it is. If we are asking too much of you, you can say so we can not ask as much of you. [00:59:21] Speaker B: I mean, it's good. It's good. I actually enjoy saying busy because, you know, you do the doom spiral thing when you don't stay busy and you just think about all the horrible things and the fact that the world is going to end and not that long from now and. Yeah. So staying busy, familiar helps. [00:59:45] Speaker D: What are, what are you currently busy with? [00:59:49] Speaker B: Well, I'm still going through the million journals that you all gave me, but in my other spare time, I'm working on some. Some new inventions. [01:00:02] Speaker D: Did we give Juniper the newest journal? [01:00:07] Speaker B: Would you have? I mean, we can recon it and say you. You did. [01:00:12] Speaker D: I mean, yeah, we went through a lot to get it, so I don't know why we wouldn't have. I just don't remember actually having, like, running into her to give it to her. So I. I guess we would have. We would have done that at some point that we had some downtime earlier. [01:00:28] Speaker B: So probably somebody dropped that off and she goes, and I'm sort of working on that, the one you just gave me. And it's. It's fascinating. There's a. There's a lot in that book that reminds me of when he was my professor in. [01:00:46] Speaker D: In a bad way or knowing. [01:00:49] Speaker B: Like, it's a. It's weird because there, there's definitely like a separation of the Talis I knew and the Talis I thought I knew and who he is. And I think at one point he was genuinely that person that I thought he was. [01:01:09] Speaker F: I think. [01:01:10] Speaker D: I think you're right. [01:01:13] Speaker B: And this book shows me somebody who had a great desire to help and do good and unfortunately. And you know, you know what they say about good intentions. [01:01:33] Speaker C: Yes. [01:01:35] Speaker D: Yes. I am very familiar with that, too. But you said you were working on something. [01:01:43] Speaker E: Inventions. [01:01:44] Speaker D: What's kind of. What have you been working on? Is it for fun or is it. [01:01:48] Speaker B: You know, I mean, I. The. The fun part of making an invention is that this will be useful. I. There was some, like. Because, you know, the. The owner made all the. The suits and stuff. Yes. [01:02:09] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:02:10] Speaker B: I. There's some leftover material from one of them, and Rook is pretty good at, like, fighting and stuff, so I was trying to make him, like, some sort of, like, fighting gauntlets out of this suit. [01:02:26] Speaker D: Oh, he's very kind. [01:02:30] Speaker B: Yeah. It. I feel bad that, like, he doesn't have any, like, useful skills. He just kind of deals with the people he can't really help with any of the actual building. [01:02:46] Speaker D: Well, not everyone is an inventor or good with friends. [01:02:53] Speaker B: He's incredibly sweet and fun to hang around with, but he's very not useful. And he. Other ways. [01:03:04] Speaker D: Well, no, at least he has fun to. To hang with. [01:03:13] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, it's. It's certainly nice to, you know, have somebody else in the shop. I mean, we've. We've been. She pulls a book out of her. Her, like, shopping things. I'm picking up some books as well, because that's another thing we. We do is we read books and we talk about them. [01:03:37] Speaker D: That sounds terrific. We. We were doing that very briefly while we were trapped in. Well, it's not a cool district now, but it was. And so we sort of read books. [01:03:50] Speaker B: I mean, if you want to pick up. If you pick up a copy, you can more than welcome to join us. [01:03:57] Speaker D: What book are you reading? [01:04:01] Speaker B: She holds up the. The copy of this book as I pull out my book title name generator. [01:04:09] Speaker D: Bam. Bam, bam. [01:04:10] Speaker C: Can it be Mercy Max, the hit series. Teenagers, young readers everywhere. [01:04:24] Speaker D: Oh, okay. I didn't hear the second word. I just heard the first word. So I was not picking up the reference, but now I. Now I got it. [01:04:30] Speaker C: Mercy Max. [01:04:32] Speaker D: Yeah. I only heard mercy, and I'm like, mercy maxing. [01:04:36] Speaker E: It's about Mother may I? [01:04:37] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:04:40] Speaker B: I mean, you came. You came up with all the titles for those, right? Or did you just rip. [01:04:48] Speaker C: No, I. I made. I. I came up with titles. One second. I'm literally looking for all of them now. [01:04:53] Speaker B: Give me, like, book three. [01:04:55] Speaker C: Book three. I. I have it once. One second, one second. It's, like, buried in my notes, so I'll just drop it in our chat real quick. But as you can see, only five books are out right now because she's working on the six. [01:05:13] Speaker D: We got. [01:05:13] Speaker C: We have Mercy Maxson in the Rogue of Storms. That's the first book, the Monstrous Seas. That's the second book. The Giant's Omen. That's the third book. And then fourth is War of Mazes and the fifth is the Last Nephilim. [01:05:33] Speaker B: Yeah, it's the Giant's Omen of the Mercy Maxim series. And yeah, she's just like. Can you believe that Rook has never read these? Well, actually, no, I. Actually, I can't believe that because he doesn't really remember anything before five years ago. [01:05:49] Speaker D: So it is possible, you know, he has read them and this is a delightful reread. [01:05:54] Speaker B: I mean, that's very. You're more than welcome to. To come along. Actually, the one thing that Rook is good at is cooking. Oh, baking specifically. [01:06:06] Speaker D: Oh, pleasant. This is a good skill to have. [01:06:14] Speaker B: So, yeah, he makes like breads and cookies and stuff, and we talk about the book. [01:06:21] Speaker D: That sounds like a really fun time. [01:06:25] Speaker B: Yeah, we'll probably. Sometime we're gonna start this one. So sometime next week. Just our schedules are very flexible. Let us know what day works for you. [01:06:40] Speaker D: That is, I never know until the day off sometimes. But as long as we are not running off to fight, I don't know, Johnny Broughton or something like that, you know, I think it would be fine get up like maybe middle of this week. As long as I am not intruding a boss if you, you know, if you are. It was. [01:07:04] Speaker B: I. More, More people. More people to discuss the book, the better. [01:07:10] Speaker D: Yes, I, I, I am under the impression that is how book clubs function. I've never actually been in one more than a week, which was the week we were all stuck in the house together and couldn't really go anywhere except we're out into the cools. And then we stopped kind of doing it after that because, you know, so it would be fun to join another one. [01:07:40] Speaker B: Yeah. I would certainly love to have you there. [01:07:46] Speaker D: Well, then. Then I have to be there. [01:07:49] Speaker B: It's. [01:07:51] Speaker F: It'll be. [01:07:51] Speaker B: It'll be great. It'll be great. [01:07:54] Speaker D: Yes, yes, yes, it is. And are you any. Are you going anywhere? Do you want to run errands simultaneously? [01:08:08] Speaker B: I mean, I. Yes, yes, I would. It certainly makes the time pass faster. [01:08:17] Speaker C: It does. [01:08:17] Speaker D: And you know, it's good with the track record we both have, it is probably better to have a buddy system anyway. Never know. And you might get. Then she stops because she doesn't want to like, re. Traumatize Juniper, even though she's a little cavalier about her own kidnapping because of was her mother just like it's just good to have a buddy system. [01:08:40] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. No yeah. No buddy's buddy system is great. Just you know. Yeah. Errands. I'm. There's a. There's a place that always has. Has like really good flower. So I. I'm gonna. We're gonna. So I can create. [01:09:02] Speaker E: Yes. [01:09:02] Speaker B: That way. [01:09:03] Speaker D: Okay. I'll go with her. [01:09:09] Speaker B: Yeah. You have a nice afternoon. A nice sort of morning ish of running errands and jump over to grapevine. You're back in the tower. [01:09:23] Speaker C: I'm. I'm. Does not matter how good the heating in this house is. I am a cold. I'm cold blooded. And it's real cold in this room where there are corpses. So I'm literally just kind of working out all to not go to sleep. That's my biggest issue. Falling asleep. I'm so prone to it in this. During this. [01:09:49] Speaker D: This. [01:09:49] Speaker C: This time this weather and no offense, it's also boring here. There's not much I can do besides work out to stay awake. [01:10:02] Speaker B: You as you're. As you're sort of doing this, you. You hear a sound coming from one of the windows. [01:10:12] Speaker C: I'm ready to fight whoever comes through the window. I was like doing I don't know, push ups and then I push all the way up. Immediate stance. [01:10:25] Speaker B: It only takes a moment before the figure comes into view. It is. It is Lorelei. And she sort of pulls herself up, sort of like leaning on the window and just says I couldn't really use the door. [01:10:44] Speaker C: You could. You could knock. Which is rich coming from me because I never knock. [01:10:51] Speaker B: I never knock either. A hand. [01:10:59] Speaker C: Yeah. I'm helping her. Helping her. [01:11:03] Speaker B: Yeah. And you sort of pull her up into the part of this library. As you know, she looks around and her mood falls a little when she sees the. The covered body. But she nods and says thank you. Thank you. [01:11:28] Speaker D: Was quick. [01:11:31] Speaker B: It's good to know I though the one person I could never have brought myself to do that too. Thank you for doing it. [01:11:44] Speaker C: I will nod. We all have those. I don't think I could do it to anyone in my family. Or Alastor. I love that fucking rat. Just. Just a handful of people. Oh, and you. God. [01:12:08] Speaker D: God. [01:12:09] Speaker C: I said Alistair first. When I said family, I. I like I included you in my head. [01:12:15] Speaker B: Yeah. I don't think I could do that to you either. What did you. Did you learn anything beyond. [01:12:30] Speaker C: She had some deserters join up a johnny. [01:12:37] Speaker B: Yeah. There were several people missing when I got the full headcount. Six or seven. Yeah. [01:12:45] Speaker C: Mm. Didn't get any names. But I feel like we can probably figure that out if we get everybody counted up together. But they're most likely with Johnny right now. Everybody else is going to see what, what other. What else dirt we can dig up. But she did say that Johnny was going to give her the row. [01:13:17] Speaker E: And. [01:13:18] Speaker C: I, I, I believe that she believed that, but. [01:13:24] Speaker B: Sort of shakes her head and just like I thought she knew. That man has a way of getting into people's heads. [01:13:37] Speaker C: He's probably a lot better at that now. I just gestured to the sky helping him. [01:13:53] Speaker B: Well, I've mustered what remains of the blades and I'd like to give her a funeral. [01:14:04] Speaker C: I nod. Are they coming here or should we meet them somewhere? [01:14:14] Speaker B: We'll meet them somewhere. Okay. [01:14:19] Speaker C: I'm going to look at the body and probably put another blanket or something over. We don't have a bag of holding or anything of the light do. [01:14:30] Speaker B: Technically, yes. [01:14:33] Speaker D: We got in the woods before the lake. [01:14:36] Speaker B: Bag. [01:14:38] Speaker H: I forgot about that. [01:14:42] Speaker B: To be fair, I think we, you, you had that episode and then we had two months off. [01:14:47] Speaker D: Holy. [01:14:49] Speaker C: Oh my God, you're so right. Never mind. We do have one. I don't know who has it. [01:14:55] Speaker B: You do. [01:14:56] Speaker C: Me? No way. [01:15:01] Speaker B: No, no, no, no, no, no, no. [01:15:05] Speaker C: Well, if I do, it's not on my sheets. [01:15:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:15:10] Speaker C: Okay, let's say it's on me. Never mind. Oh, does it? Well, okay. That will it fit a person does. [01:15:15] Speaker B: I don't, it's, it acts like a bag of holding. It's just you can hide things very well in this bag. [01:15:24] Speaker C: I pull out this regular looking bag and I kind of hand it to Lorelei and be like, you gotta hold it open. It will be very easy. Much easier to travel inconspicuously. It's a big word for me. [01:15:49] Speaker B: Yeah, she does. And you're able to get clover in. [01:15:54] Speaker C: There and. [01:15:57] Speaker F: You. [01:15:59] Speaker B: Believe the tower? [01:16:01] Speaker D: Yep. [01:16:02] Speaker C: I, I, I follow but like I'm kind of, I'm gonna do my best to walk in in in stride with Lorelei. We got, we got a foot of height difference but like. Yeah, it's also fucking cold out. So you know, I'm kind of cursing. [01:16:24] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. There is a place in Coffin Walk made ready for it and sort of one of the ruins of one of the old building say bonfire is being built and it'll be a quiet ceremony. No one really says much but you watch as each one of the, the blades sort of leaves a small item on top of the body. Small little moment. [01:17:00] Speaker C: I'm, I'm just I'm quiet and I'm respectful. If there are moments of prayer, I do partake in prayer. But that. That's the most. That's the most I do. That's the most I feel like I should do. [01:17:18] Speaker B: Yeah. There's a prayer made to the great blade. Reminder that it's going to hurt. And you should let yourself feel that pain, because pain means it meant something. And the last thing that happens before the thing is at a light is a ring placed on top from Loreline. Then it is lit and. Yeah. And then our camera shifts back to the three in the alleyway. You see, it does not take you long at all. Less than 30 minutes. You watch as the hulking form of Elias Gore comes into view. The half orc with the sort of ashen skin. He is followed by. By a woman in a veil. [01:18:23] Speaker F: I am going to look at Leith to see their reaction. [01:18:31] Speaker E: Yeah, Clover is very still. Very, very still and staring and not just not moving. Not taking her eyes off of the veiled figure. [01:18:53] Speaker F: In a whisper. Now, you know we can't go up there. [01:19:01] Speaker D: Sorry. [01:19:02] Speaker E: Can or cannot? [01:19:03] Speaker F: Can't. You know, we cannot go there right now. We should not go in there right now. [01:19:13] Speaker E: Above table. She is scared, not wanting to hunt. [01:19:18] Speaker F: I understand. But Yuri can't go because your disguise is Clover. [01:19:22] Speaker E: Yeah. So Leith will just say or whisper back, like, of course. [01:19:30] Speaker C: We're just watching. [01:19:34] Speaker F: Do you want to go? Do you want to leave or do you want to see what you're doing? [01:19:42] Speaker E: No, we should stay. As much information as we can get, we need. [01:19:49] Speaker B: Okay. [01:19:50] Speaker F: Say the word and we hit the bricks. [01:19:54] Speaker B: You all watch as Elias Gore approaches the door, pounds on, and is let in to the house. It's about five minutes later, you hear the gunshot, and I think that's where we'll leave it. [01:20:17] Speaker H: Ruh ro raggy. That's not very good. [01:20:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Take us out. [01:20:23] Speaker F: What? [01:20:25] Speaker H: Thank you for a wonderful episode of Goblets and Gaze. If you like what we do here, feel free to follow us on Blue sky, on Instagram, on Patreon. And remember, it's always good to go have a nice snack with a friend of Dark Alley. [01:21:04] Speaker A: Hold my hand Let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it hurts me almost these demons outl. [01:21:20] Speaker E: In this. [01:21:21] Speaker A: Red light because me he is reaching out consuming. This day. [01:22:33] Speaker F: Star. [01:22:59] Speaker C: Sa.
