[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam.
Waking up dreaming dark so long I cannot find meaning hold my hand let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all the these demons always roam me in this red light because me he is reaching out consuming.
[00:01:30] Speaker B: Hello everybody. Welcome back to Gobbledon Gays. I'm Aubrey, your gm. I'll toss players to introduce themselves, who they are, who they playing, and then we'll get rolling into things.
[00:01:39] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Aki and I play the vigilante Gravewing, who is a Nagaji self monk and kineticist. We both use she her pronouns.
[00:01:51] Speaker D: Hello, I am Faris, she her and I play Alouette Valer. Also she her a bardic thaumaturge beast.
[00:01:57] Speaker E: Kin doing her best while juggling a family curse, falling in love and of course the end of the world.
[00:02:04] Speaker F: Hello, I'm Dusty. I use they he pronouns. Name playing Eu Formerly Moran, still a problem, just angrier now. They are blood hunter Nephilim problem.
Just, just trying to fix things, even though it's all bad. They also use they he pronouns.
[00:02:30] Speaker G: Hello, I'm Sparlock and I play Alistair Whiskerfield, the great rat detective, arcane archer and wizard extraordinaire, the revolutionary firebrand, sworn enemy to the Scriabins and scourge of the bourgeoisie and master of Nicodemus Tower. We both use he him pronouns.
[00:02:52] Speaker H: Hi, I'm Tick. I use he, she, they pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, who uses he they pronouns. He cooks, he cleans, he eats people and has an alien parasite living in his spine, slowly consuming him. What more could you ask for?
[00:03:06] Speaker I: Hi, I'm Alyssa, My pronouns are they, them and I play Laithrese the fourth Dampier Dandy, rogue, failed matricide with a negative one constitution modifier. Leith uses she any pronouns.
[00:03:19] Speaker B: So what happened last time?
[00:03:23] Speaker H: 37 plus minutes of planning how to kill Johnny Rotten seed.
I don't know why I thought Johnny Appleseed was a correct answer and why we kind of just schemed around for a while. Like how are we gonna deal with Mr. Johnny Rotten? He has like every single plan. And our plan was that Yuri was gonna come in with a fake clover and be like, hey, wiggled my hips, I have nowhere to go and I'm really strong. Do you want an extra big beefy man on your side?
And Johnny Ron was gonna look him up and down and be like, wowzers, maybe I do. As we all come in, clear out everyone in his building. We gotta clear out all the prostitutes and bring In Hunters, as you is just scandalously laying there like, wow, what. What smelly breath you have, how much I'd love to work for you, Johnny Rotten twirling his hair.
[00:04:14] Speaker F: Your fanfic is for AO3, not live on Patreon.
[00:04:20] Speaker H: You can read more of that if you subscribe to the Patreon blooper reel.
But, yeah, we've got our plan.
Graveling went up to lathe and was like, hey, I'm gonna be honest. I was a little bit mean. I guess some rich people are okay parentheses sometimes. And Lace was like, oh. And then Graveling said, you're doing a good job at, like, helping raise your sister. And Lace was like, oh, no. Crying a little bit. Okay, okay.
[00:04:43] Speaker E: Stay calm.
[00:04:44] Speaker H: We can't show an emotion. That's how they get you, you know?
So there's a nice conversation now preparing to lock in and kick ass and take names and ship another ex with Yuri.
[00:04:59] Speaker B: Yeah, well, it's.
It's about that time another week ends and we find ourselves at Windville.
So, yeah, it is the first day, and you all come together and decide what to do. You have your rebellion actions, and you have a plan as to deal with Johnny.
[00:05:26] Speaker H: What should we use our rebellion actions for?
That's a good question.
Oh, still lost in the Johnny sauce?
[00:05:36] Speaker E: Probably we should do set up at least one thing, which might just be getting the blades in place. I don't know if that counts as needing to use a rebellion, but if not, bonus setup.
[00:05:55] Speaker G: We should probably split the blades into two groups.
One larger and one smaller. One to help evacuate and one to provide combat support.
[00:06:13] Speaker D: I think the request was to keep.
[00:06:16] Speaker E: Them on the outside to help with evacuations and not involve them in combat.
[00:06:21] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:06:22] Speaker E: Or was it just only keep them outside unless combat comes into play?
[00:06:28] Speaker G: Well, there's definitely gonna be some amount of combat, but, like, if we get in a situation where we need to escape.
Because we're outnumbered, we take out the target, we leave.
We might need some support to help ensure we don't get swarmed.
[00:06:56] Speaker C: Yeah, but the issue is with the Blades can probably. The Bloody Blades can probably clock Bloody Blades members, so we have a higher chance, a higher risk of being caught.
[00:07:10] Speaker E: But they could if they were external and it was just devoted group to evacuation and devoted group to just covering our exit. Should we come flying out?
That's possible. Is that kind of what you're looking for, Sparlock?
[00:07:28] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:07:28] Speaker G: Yeah, that's. That's what I'm saying.
[00:07:30] Speaker E: Not inside the building, just ready to help us get out of There should we need to make a quick escape.
[00:07:36] Speaker G: Yeah, I mean, we have the ability to contact people like we have message and talk with the wind.
Hell, we could get someone with message inside of the building to do a relay to signal.
[00:07:54] Speaker F: I think that would be probably simple, but I agree, the Bloody Blade should not be inside.
[00:08:05] Speaker G: Well, they might have to because of the walls, but we could probably disguise a single member.
[00:08:13] Speaker B: You know, who's a relatively new member of Bloody Bloody Blades, who maybe not everyone knows about.
[00:08:18] Speaker E: Don't say not.
[00:08:19] Speaker H: Absolutely not.
[00:08:20] Speaker E: Don't say Nadia.
[00:08:23] Speaker I: Yeah, some urchin.
Not someone I care about.
[00:08:27] Speaker F: Is she even old enough to go to the.
[00:08:29] Speaker E: Oliver?
[00:08:32] Speaker C: We're not going by American rules, right? Where it's like, you can. You can join the military and sign yourself into massive amounts of debt, but God forbid you take a little sip. Sip of that giggle juice.
So, you're 21.
[00:08:50] Speaker B: Nadia is an adult.
Just younger than life.
[00:08:55] Speaker F: You're a child.
Comparatively, that's neither here nor there.
[00:09:05] Speaker C: We can just disguise Lorelai if we really have to. Yeah, like we magically disguise her.
[00:09:14] Speaker E: Okay, last chance to pick the fourth talisman. And now I'm gonna roll for it.
[00:09:20] Speaker C: Roll for it. It sounds fun.
[00:09:21] Speaker E: I'm rolling for it.
1, 2, 3, 4. Convenient.
[00:09:26] Speaker I: D4.
[00:09:30] Speaker E: It's gonna be a second healing. Does anyone want to claim it, or am I gonna roll for that, too?
[00:09:37] Speaker C: Roll, baby, roll. I want to see who's Lou's favorites are this day.
[00:09:43] Speaker E: I'm not giving Yuri a second one.
I love you, but you've already got one. I'm trusting you to not die on your own.
[00:09:51] Speaker I: That's a bad bet, but Universe is.
[00:09:55] Speaker C: Trying to give you a sign.
[00:09:58] Speaker E: Apparently L looks extra squishy today, so.
[00:10:01] Speaker B: Wow.
[00:10:03] Speaker E: So you both get a lover's knot.
I can give you links to what they do. And also Layth gets the mesmerizing opal, and Lorelai gets the emergency disguise.
And everyone else is on their own for disguises.
That's what we talked about while you were gone, Aubrey. I think we're okay to start now.
[00:10:24] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. I mean, we hadn't really jumped into the actual rebellion stuff. I think you were still discussing what you wanted your first action to be.
[00:10:35] Speaker D: Oh, gosh, we should have done that.
[00:10:36] Speaker E: While you were gone.
[00:10:38] Speaker C: Yeah, we did not.
[00:10:39] Speaker E: I forgot that we were doing that at all.
[00:10:41] Speaker C: I forgot we were talking about what to do with the. With the Bloody Blade, specifically, so that. And then we said that we were going to have basically all of them deal with helping the escort out, helping people be Escorted out and then help us get out after that's done. And I believe we are bringing Lorelei with us to help with the actual fighting. That's why she's getting a disguise. So our setup role will just be, I guess, getting the bloody blades allocated in the correct place and also letting them know what their actual job is.
[00:11:18] Speaker B: I mean. Yeah. Which one of you would like to roll for that?
[00:11:23] Speaker C: I could do it.
And I use. I'm using my roll skill check. So the Am I again?
Strategist. Yeah.
[00:11:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:38] Speaker C: Oh, I'm gonna use hero point on that because I. I know I can do better. And I didn't like the. Yeah, see, I called it 31.
[00:11:48] Speaker B: 31. Yeah.
That is.
That is a success.
So, yeah, you will get the blade. Blades all set up in their proper place.
And you have two more actions.
[00:12:07] Speaker E: What about information on the symphony?
[00:12:11] Speaker B: You can also do that.
[00:12:11] Speaker I: Yeah.
[00:12:12] Speaker E: It's unrelated to our current problems, but it's very related to our future problems.
[00:12:15] Speaker I: Yeah, that's true. I'm down for that.
[00:12:19] Speaker C: Did you tell us about that?
[00:12:21] Speaker D: Not yet.
[00:12:21] Speaker E: I haven't had time.
[00:12:22] Speaker B: Okay.
But, you know, something's going on with the symphony because there's.
[00:12:27] Speaker E: We already know. Because I played the song and we all got real upset about it. Yeah, you got real bad time. It was a bad, bad time.
I don't think I've rolled it a minute. So I guess I can roll for information on the symphony.
[00:12:45] Speaker C: You're technically the one who knows.
[00:12:47] Speaker E: I know the most about it.
Okay. Okay. Okay. I'm gonna use the dice I was rolling yesterday for D. And that was killing. Killing players. It is the cousin dice.
[00:13:02] Speaker D: Okay. Deception.
[00:13:03] Speaker H: Be careful. You are a player right now.
[00:13:06] Speaker E: No, I'm not. In the gm.
Yeah, that's what I thought.
Okay, that's gonna be a.
Hold on. Get the right page.
Shoot. It was diplomacy or what?
[00:13:22] Speaker D: Deception.
[00:13:22] Speaker E: Doesn't matter. Same skill.
26.
[00:13:28] Speaker D: Let me double check.
[00:13:31] Speaker E: Nope. 30. 30. I can't do math.
30.
[00:13:36] Speaker A: 30.
[00:13:37] Speaker H: 30.
[00:13:38] Speaker B: 30 is a success.
So information about the.
The symphony is, you know, the.
Like many, many things in Malacotta.
Patrons of the arts.
And the symphony is mostly controlled and run by the Scriabens. It's kind of how they. With their muses, with their instruments and their musical prowess sort of have wormed their way into high society.
And many of the Scriabin family itself, which is rather large play in the symphony.
[00:14:20] Speaker D: Okay.
Which implies either they're not liked or.
[00:14:26] Speaker E: Being a player in the symphony will not kill you.
[00:14:31] Speaker B: Or they're all on Board for whatever's gonna happen.
[00:14:34] Speaker E: That or they're happy to die. Understood. We have one more yes.
[00:14:43] Speaker H: It's never a bad idea to lower our angry threshold.
[00:14:46] Speaker E: We haven't done that in a while.
[00:14:48] Speaker H: Yeah, just in case an inquisition starts. You know.
[00:14:52] Speaker C: I don't remember where we were last time. I have I did not take our last notes.
[00:14:56] Speaker E: I did forgot I don't know if.
[00:14:59] Speaker B: You rolled to reduce your threat last time. Yeah, because you, you focused on recruiting.
[00:15:03] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:15:04] Speaker C: Is it, Are we still at 40? Is that correct?
Okay.
[00:15:10] Speaker B: Currently the inquisition is still going so you don't have to roll.
[00:15:17] Speaker F: So double inquisition, let's go.
[00:15:21] Speaker E: No, no, we already ruled. There's no such thing.
Otherwise we would be on our quadruple inquisition by now.
[00:15:28] Speaker F: No one would expect it.
[00:15:31] Speaker B: Would you roll inquisition?
[00:15:35] Speaker E: Are we reducing or anyone have strong feelings for something else?
[00:15:40] Speaker H: Reduce, reuse, recycle, baby.
[00:15:42] Speaker C: Is it, does it have to be set up to see if I can get the rest of the bugs involved on team kill people from the inside or.
[00:15:51] Speaker B: No, it wouldn't, wouldn't be set up that wouldn't have specifically set up.
[00:15:55] Speaker C: Okay then I, I, I'm good with whatever guys I can't think of I can't think of anything to help us further that we have already done.
[00:16:06] Speaker G: Well we've found inform or we've gone after information.
We've set up our mission.
I guess we could try recruiting.
[00:16:18] Speaker E: Yeah Anything else is just furthering our overall goals.
So threat reduction or recruitment or money whatever. I don't think any of them are bad choices. I think they're just not.
[00:16:31] Speaker C: They're just I would say hold off on the money for the sole purpose of. If we actually get Johnny, we can attempt to loot him. He's a drug lord.
I mean like if we're gonna get money from someone, it's gonna be him.
[00:16:46] Speaker E: Let's do reduction then we have it in a hot minute and it will be helpful down the road.
Yuri hasn't rolled in a while and Alistair hasn't rolled in a while.
[00:16:59] Speaker G: I rolled on the last one. I thought we went.
[00:17:02] Speaker E: Oh yes you did. Yes you did.
[00:17:03] Speaker G: Sorry, I thought we went with what the roll most fit.
[00:17:07] Speaker E: We can do that also. It's just that two of us have four year olds so.
Yeah, I was just looking to see who hadn't rolled in a hot minute.
[00:17:15] Speaker H: Crying I can roll if you guys want me to. I say as I pick up the dice Preparing for like every natural one in the world. Let's go actually do it.
[00:17:23] Speaker D: Do it.
[00:17:24] Speaker I: Do It.
[00:17:24] Speaker E: I believe in you.
All right.
[00:17:27] Speaker G: Natural one.
[00:17:28] Speaker B: Natural.
[00:17:29] Speaker H: Come on, man. You're supposed to be cheering for that.
[00:17:31] Speaker C: Not for the threat roll.
[00:17:33] Speaker I: You.
[00:17:33] Speaker C: Oh, my God. We're gonna get it.
[00:17:35] Speaker A: Like.
[00:17:35] Speaker C: Like six inquisitions in our souls.
[00:17:38] Speaker H: I'm rolling for the inquisition.
[00:17:41] Speaker B: Reducing threat.
[00:17:42] Speaker H: Okay, which stat is that?
[00:17:45] Speaker B: One of yours, either crafting or survival. One of your. Your.
[00:17:49] Speaker D: Oh, okay.
[00:17:49] Speaker H: I guess use mine. That's beautiful. Well, it's not. Can I reduce our threat by making food?
Can I make it?
[00:17:56] Speaker F: That's crafting.
[00:17:58] Speaker G: That is legitimately, like, you.
[00:18:00] Speaker C: Start feeding the poor.
Yeah, I would say.
[00:18:03] Speaker I: Do you like breakfast program?
[00:18:06] Speaker H: Well, I removed the second value from, I guess the last fight we're in. Yeah, I can feed people. So I can get a plus one to my crafting roll because I get my plus one circumstance bonus because it's now related to food specifically, I'm feeding the poor. I hope it goes well feeding yourself.
I. I could use a hero point because I got a nine, but, like, that's not bad considering my reputation of rolling.
And I also haven't used any hero points. It's been a very chill game recently.
[00:18:43] Speaker I: Use a hero point.
[00:18:45] Speaker H: Okay, fine. No balls. I guess I'm doing it.
I avoid the NAT one, and then a single word from Alyssa gets me to be like, do it. No balls.
[00:18:56] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:18:57] Speaker H: Alyssa, you're a terrible influence. I'm just letting you know, if you're on that one, it's on your head.
[00:19:02] Speaker I: Talking about balls here.
[00:19:04] Speaker H: This is on your head. It went down.
[00:19:06] Speaker C: Roll. Suck the ball.
[00:19:07] Speaker A: Roll.
[00:19:08] Speaker H: That is Unfortunately a dirty 20 looks at Alyssa in shame because I got provoked by a vembo.
[00:19:15] Speaker I: That's on you.
[00:19:17] Speaker H: For the poor. Initiative is not going very good, it seems. This seems the poor nowadays are very picky about the food that they get.
[00:19:24] Speaker B: Yeah, you're just. It's being broken up by lamplighters and stuff.
[00:19:29] Speaker I: They're like, wait, God forbid, his food.
[00:19:32] Speaker H: The lamplighters are stealing my food.
[00:19:35] Speaker B: So it is hilarious. If you hadn't rerolled, that would have been a success, Alyssa.
[00:19:40] Speaker E: I thought that was the threshold. It was a twice.
[00:19:42] Speaker H: Honestly, I let Alyssa coax me into it. I shouldn't have. I'm sorry. I'm never listening to Alyssa ever again in my life. I think that's the lesson that I've learned today.
[00:19:50] Speaker B: So it goes wrong, and your threat Increases by a D6.
[00:19:57] Speaker H: Thanks, Alyssa.
[00:19:58] Speaker B: Go.
[00:20:00] Speaker C: It's fine.
[00:20:00] Speaker I: Our threat's never gonna go down. We are a threat. They should be threatened.
[00:20:05] Speaker H: Fine, I'll just roll a D6.
[00:20:06] Speaker B: Really?
[00:20:06] Speaker D: Quickly.
[00:20:08] Speaker F: Our threat's never gonna go down.
[00:20:10] Speaker H: Our threat's higher by five. Because apparently, Alyssa, I'm just imagining Niall was cooking perfectly fine. And like Laith's like, hey, you know, you could. You could cook in a few other areas, you know, And I was like, oh, that's actually really smart. Let's do it. And proceed to get busted for it. And just side eyeing lathe was like, I mean, that was your idea, wasn't it? You know, you thought about it, you know, twirled my hair.
[00:20:34] Speaker F: 45, baby.
[00:20:36] Speaker I: Wait.
[00:20:39] Speaker B: Sweetheart, that is.
That is the.
The end of the rebellion actions. And you have say like two days before the plan actually goes into action to take down Johnny. So if there are things that you want to do, like recruit the bugs, now is a great time to do it.
[00:21:01] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:21:01] Speaker C: So I'm.
I.
Okay. I know last time I kind of said that my sister has to stay at the temple of the voice where she will be safer, honestly.
So I'm going to assume that she has been there for a week and that's where I'm going first.
[00:21:27] Speaker B: Judith is keeping both of them in a.
It essentially is like a. The more residential part of the temple, but making sure nobody looks too closely at it.
[00:21:37] Speaker C: Now, I have another question.
Did the children listen when I say, no, you cannot visit your mother who's at this temple.
Highs or lows, I roll high.
[00:21:55] Speaker B: Or once in their lives, they listened.
[00:22:02] Speaker C: Thanking God. Okay. Because they are very noticeable children.
I'm not going to get them. I'm just going to go straight to.
To her because I don't want to drag anybody into more nonsense. So, yeah, I'm going to go. Go straight to the temple.
People can come if they want to. If not, I'm going.
[00:22:31] Speaker B: Yeah, well, at least for Buddy's system's sake. And.
Bad things happen when people head off on their own.
[00:22:44] Speaker E: I'll go.
[00:22:46] Speaker B: I was to say if nobody goes, Vittorio will go.
[00:22:48] Speaker E: Oh, I'm.
[00:22:51] Speaker H: I thought you being like someone should go.
[00:22:53] Speaker E: And I was like, oh, go.
[00:22:55] Speaker H: No, I'll call.
[00:22:55] Speaker E: No, go.
[00:22:56] Speaker B: You should go.
[00:22:57] Speaker C: Are you blocking?
[00:22:58] Speaker H: Are you gonnaio? I'm going with you.
[00:23:03] Speaker C: Vittorio trying to speed run meeting my family.
Sorry, what tick.
[00:23:13] Speaker H: Meanwhile, I'm just like, te.
[00:23:16] Speaker C: Okay, Nile is coming with me to temple.
[00:23:20] Speaker I: Yeah, yeah.
[00:23:24] Speaker B: And Niall, you probably have never been a temple of the voice before.
Think of the vibe of a rowdy, crowded bar. But everyone is discussing philosophy.
[00:23:38] Speaker H: Huh?
Interesting.
Interesting church you got here.
[00:23:45] Speaker B: And he. Judith will show you back to the sort of residential area and the room that Your sister and Drisson have been staying in.
[00:23:58] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't come.
I don't come to these temples. I don't. I don't worship the voice by talking. I worship through action.
[00:24:08] Speaker H: Oh, I see.
[00:24:13] Speaker C: Anyways, I knock really loudly first. Be like, please be decent.
[00:24:21] Speaker B: Yeah. After.
After a couple seconds, the door will open and it looks like they have been training.
They're in training clothes and you see Tristan and it says, hey, glad to see you're okay.
[00:24:44] Speaker C: More or less.
Come on, I'm going to fill you. Yeah, yeah.
Waddle in. Nile, this is my sister, Aemi.
Puck. I told you her name.
I'm so.
[00:25:08] Speaker H: It's okay. I wasn't paying attention. Do you want to do it again?
[00:25:12] Speaker C: Yeah. I'm getting too comfortable with you.
Nile, this is my sister, Widow.
Contrary to her name, that is her husband, who you've met already, I see.
[00:25:29] Speaker H: It's a pleasure to meet you, Willow.
Why don't they say Willow, my friend was to be dog pics. And it is nice to meet you, Widow.
[00:25:40] Speaker B: Nice to meet you too.
She says, looking you up and down and looking over at Gring. Being like, your company has certainly gotten more interesting in the past couple of months.
[00:25:55] Speaker C: Don't talk like that. He cooks. That's the chef from.
Dude, where you work again?
[00:26:05] Speaker H: I'm like, where I worked.
[00:26:09] Speaker B: The Traveler's Rest Travels.
[00:26:11] Speaker C: Thank you.
[00:26:11] Speaker H: Thanks. I got fired from their Tet.
[00:26:13] Speaker C: That's the chef from.
That's the chef from the Travelers Rest.
Hey, that's family dinner night right there. So you speak nicely.
I proceed to then update these two. I give a bit of a longer update to my sister because she's missed out the most and I don't actually know how much she got filled in on.
So we will see her gradually get more and more upset. Not at, you know, the world ending or anything like that, but. But specifically because she missed the masquerade part.
[00:26:52] Speaker B: Of course.
[00:26:57] Speaker C: And then I'll fill her in about basically what happened last week.
All of the moles and killing, and let them know about.
About the Johnny stuff.
How are you two doing?
Can you want in on this? I'd love the backup.
[00:27:19] Speaker B: Widow says anything to get back at him. And Judith has.
I don't want. Not necessarily. The words cleared me to work, but, you know, I don't have any weird blood anymore.
[00:27:36] Speaker C: So just like a week for you was good.
[00:27:40] Speaker B: Yeah. It wasn't.
It wasn't as far along as we thought.
[00:27:46] Speaker C: That's really good.
[00:27:50] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:27:51] Speaker C: Okay. Okay.
[00:27:53] Speaker D: Okay. Okay.
[00:27:54] Speaker C: That gives us like a rough estimate. Of a timeline for Toshi.
Okay, good.
[00:28:07] Speaker H: Okay.
[00:28:08] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. The plan is sound. And Tristan and I can always just focus on helping everybody else get out as well. And any backup for when the actual fight comes in.
[00:28:23] Speaker H: I'm also going to pretend I didn't hear you say that real name and you said Yellow Jacket instead.
[00:28:28] Speaker C: No, that guy has basically been announcing his name.
So I think. I think he's safe. It's just.
[00:28:34] Speaker H: I don't want to.
[00:28:35] Speaker B: I don't want docs doxed at a masquerade.
[00:28:37] Speaker C: Yeah, like, I know, but I'm Jo.
[00:28:39] Speaker H: Mostly a joke.
Okay, I wasn't sure.
[00:28:42] Speaker D: I think you.
[00:28:43] Speaker B: Well, you said. You said Toshi instead of bloodline. But you know, I think you've already told everybody else.
[00:28:48] Speaker C: I already told every. I doxed his name as soon as I could.
But also that loser probably has like a name badge somewhere.
Lamplighter Koshiro. Like, yo, he's got it.
[00:29:02] Speaker I: He's got it.
[00:29:02] Speaker H: A little loser cool lamplighter guy over there. Yeah, it's me.
[00:29:06] Speaker C: There's no lamplighters that are cool. They are cops.
[00:29:11] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:29:16] Speaker C: We are staying at the Wollstonecraft manor, so if you're okay to go, I can just take you back with us, introduce you to the rest of the team and prepare you for the whiplash of the rest of the team.
[00:29:36] Speaker B: Yeah, it works for me. I getting a little bit cap and fever staying in this room for an entire week.
[00:29:45] Speaker C: I know you are.
[00:29:46] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:29:48] Speaker H: Oh, I can make us your favorite soup for dinner tonight. Vitoro gave me the ingredients for it.
[00:29:55] Speaker I: Am Face.
[00:29:56] Speaker C: What? Does he have the ingredients for it? Don't you know how to make your soup?
Did you forget your soup?
[00:30:03] Speaker H: No, he. He bought me the ingredients and said to make it for you.
[00:30:08] Speaker C: I look around as if somebody else could tell me when this happened. When did this happen?
[00:30:15] Speaker H: I'll tell you what it h. Like in k. Wow, I'm bad with this. I'll tell you what happens. Just a while ago, he just told me to. He gave him the ingredients. He could tell what was in the soup, I guess. Or I could taste and told me to make it for you.
Is that. Is that a problem?
[00:30:32] Speaker B: I mean, I.
[00:30:36] Speaker D: No, no. Speak.
[00:30:37] Speaker I: God, you're talking.
[00:30:39] Speaker B: It was when. I mean, if you're in. In character, like when it was.
It was when you went and visited bloodline.
He did that Cuz he. He got you to talk about the.
[00:30:50] Speaker E: Soup and then bought all the ingredients.
[00:30:52] Speaker H: Yeah.
[00:30:52] Speaker C: Yeah, you're right. You're right. I forgot. I was talking about the Soup while freezing cold.
[00:30:57] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:30:57] Speaker I: Yeah, I'll go.
[00:30:59] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:31:02] Speaker H: Do you think that's a threat?
[00:31:05] Speaker C: I'm not going to rule that out.
I don't know this guy.
[00:31:11] Speaker H: I'll check the ingredients for poison to make sure they're not poisoned before I use them.
[00:31:18] Speaker C: He would not really have a motive to poison me though.
And this is what the conversation going back is, by the way, do you think this is.
[00:31:30] Speaker H: I. I've heard that some species of birds will flirt by giving food to people.
[00:31:34] Speaker E: Is this flirting?
[00:31:37] Speaker C: Okay, one second.
So we have like this like hundred or something year old bird man, and now I fill them in on that?
Yeah, I didn't bring him. I didn't bring these people together.
[00:31:54] Speaker H: It does kind of just seem to happen quite a bit. We're from the. We're from the jailbreak section.
[00:32:06] Speaker C: That's what happens when you break out of jail. You make friends with birds and I don't know what else to call them. Birds. A rat.
Someone who needs therapy.
[00:32:22] Speaker H: Like.
[00:32:23] Speaker C: I just. I don't know. I don't know what to do.
[00:32:27] Speaker H: I mean, you didn't have to include yourself in that description. I think Widow knew.
[00:32:35] Speaker C: All right, now I'm about to be disrespectful to you.
[00:32:40] Speaker A: What?
[00:32:42] Speaker C: I'm not. I'm not taking this from someone who just has to touch hands to make out with themselves. I'm not taking this from. From someone like that. You're like a full hand kisser. I don't.
[00:32:57] Speaker E: I.
[00:32:58] Speaker H: Are you jealous?
[00:32:59] Speaker E: No.
[00:33:03] Speaker B: No.
[00:33:03] Speaker C: Teenage boys practice with their hands and you. You are that.
[00:33:11] Speaker H: I'm not a teenager.
[00:33:12] Speaker E: Though.
[00:33:15] Speaker C: You are certainly particular.
[00:33:19] Speaker H: I just look at Widow like.
Well, you can't see it. I'm looking back and forth, my little bunny avatar between multiple people at once.
[00:33:33] Speaker B: You're not getting any support there.
[00:33:38] Speaker H: Oh, you did remind me about this bloodline that was infested. Wasn't I supposed to meet with them at some point?
Our character, who is it? Wasn't supposed to meet.
[00:33:49] Speaker D: That had the.
[00:33:50] Speaker C: Yeah, no, that. That's. That's my brother. One second.
So the thing that was trying to indoctrinate you is actually all in him now. I have to explain you.
[00:34:00] Speaker H: Mine's cool though.
[00:34:02] Speaker C: And he's dating.
[00:34:06] Speaker H: I look at Widow dead in the eyes.
[00:34:13] Speaker B: You got alcohol in the side out, right?
[00:34:17] Speaker H: Oh, I do have alcohol on me. Yeah. Do you want some?
[00:34:20] Speaker B: I won't get to the hideout on you.
[00:34:23] Speaker I: You just carry around a flask?
[00:34:26] Speaker H: Yeah, actually it's a mechanic that I have.
[00:34:28] Speaker C: Let me pull it up on okay, on. On. We're.
Let's deal with my brother after we deal with the bad rat.
Oh, to back is like, so we have a good rat.
[00:34:50] Speaker D: That's it. Yeah.
[00:34:51] Speaker C: Cut me off.
[00:34:52] Speaker D: Boom.
[00:34:52] Speaker C: Go to someone else now.
[00:34:53] Speaker B: Yeah. Yep.
Any. Any conversations anybody want to have before we move into.
[00:35:02] Speaker D: I do.
[00:35:05] Speaker I: I also do, and I think mine should go first.
[00:35:08] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:35:08] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:35:10] Speaker I: So mine is. This is a terrible idea, but I am going to find Lorelai and I am going to ask her more about how Clover acted before she was murdered by us so that I do a job of acting in Johnny's hideout. We don't need to RP it. Unless you want to torture me.
[00:35:31] Speaker D: No, no, I'd say you can.
[00:35:33] Speaker B: You. You can get a pretty good layout of Clover's mannerisms from somebody who knew her very well.
And. Yeah, we'll leave it at that.
[00:35:47] Speaker D: Yes, I would like to.
[00:35:55] Speaker E: I. I don't know. I guess go find Laythe. Being Clover with Lorelai.
[00:36:05] Speaker I: I mean, it doesn't have to be the same day.
[00:36:08] Speaker E: But what if it was? But what if it was.
But what if I just. Yeah, I just like to talk to La. At some point.
I gotta corner her, though, because Laythe has. Has not been, last I checked, allowing themselves to be alone with Lou. So I might have to, like, set a trap. I don't know Where.
[00:36:34] Speaker H: Where.
[00:36:34] Speaker D: Where would I find you?
[00:36:37] Speaker I: Yeah, I think that you can find me. I think I'm in the library reading through more of that journal from Alice Moran.
[00:36:53] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:36:53] Speaker I: And just sort of vibing.
Yeah.
[00:36:57] Speaker D: Then Lou will walk in and see.
[00:37:01] Speaker E: You reading and see that the library is unoccupied other than you, and just.
[00:37:07] Speaker D: Close the door and would say, what are you reading?
[00:37:18] Speaker I: Leith sort of flashes the journal towards you and says, oh, it was in that box of mementos from Alice. I think it's mostly just personal, but who knows what might be useful?
[00:37:32] Speaker D: We have gotten much useful information at the journals before.
Mostly one author, but, you know.
[00:37:43] Speaker E: Working.
[00:37:43] Speaker I: With them now, so who knows?
[00:37:48] Speaker D: Hopefully this one is as useful to us as others have been.
Is it. Is it good reading or is she.
[00:37:59] Speaker E: Not good at it?
[00:38:02] Speaker I: I mean, I don't think she ever really intended it to have an audience, so.
[00:38:06] Speaker D: No, that's true.
[00:38:06] Speaker E: That is probably an unkind thing to ask.
[00:38:11] Speaker I: Were you looking for something? I think that Alastair has that romance novel from your little book group.
[00:38:20] Speaker D: Oh, no. Yes, I am. I wrote that. I already read it, and so I gave it to Alistair to read it.
Have you read it? I think you would like it.
[00:38:31] Speaker I: Now, I haven't had time to look at it recently.
[00:38:35] Speaker D: I'll make sure that Alistair gives it to you when he is done.
I think you'll find it worth a thing.
[00:38:45] Speaker H: Thank you.
[00:38:46] Speaker D: It is about sirens, if that is a.
Oh.
[00:38:55] Speaker I: Seems a bit strange now that we've met Cassie and no one else.
[00:39:02] Speaker D: Well, we are in a landlocked city.
We just have a very deep lake.
[00:39:16] Speaker I: Well, I'll look forward to that. And Le sort of tries to excuse herself from the conversation.
[00:39:23] Speaker D: Yes, yes, of course.
Do you. Do you have like a minute?
Sure.
[00:39:35] Speaker I: What's wrong?
Nothing.
[00:39:39] Speaker D: For once, nothing is wrong. I was just wanting to talk to you because it has been a little while and I've kind of been thinking about a lot of things. Really Quite a bit.
[00:39:54] Speaker E: Quite a bit of things.
[00:39:56] Speaker D: But mostly I have been thinking about things that regard us.
[00:40:05] Speaker I: Laith very visibly. Sort of looking for an exit either from the room or from the conversation.
But holds for now.
What's on your mind?
[00:40:18] Speaker D: Well, it has occurred to me that I have been waiting for something that may not happen. With waiting, I thought I was giving consideration and space for.
For.
For you and for. For just organic happenings, you know. And I'm so very good at waiting that I didn't even realize that I was waiting because I was afraid of what happens when everything is said out loud and plainly. I've never particularly been as worried as you, so I could probably wait forever and not still feel ready. But I have learned over these last few months that I think fear, it only keeps you from living.
What I'm trying to say is that I have been in love with you for eight years.
And I think you know that.
And if you didn't, now you do.
And if you don't feel the same or don't want to, then. Then you don't. And I will be satisfied just knowing you.
[00:41:46] Speaker I: Leith.
Leith sort of covers her face and it's a little unclear if she's like laughing or sobbing for a moment and will sort of cross over to you and I think grabs your hand and looks for the engagement ring.
[00:42:21] Speaker D: It's.
This is.
[00:42:32] Speaker I: I don't know.
I don't know how to tell if it's you.
I thought.
I mean, last time I thought it was.
You told me what I wanted to hear and it wasn't. And this seems like that.
[00:42:51] Speaker E: Even more.
[00:42:53] Speaker I: So if it's not, then this is just cruel at this point and unnecessary.
[00:43:07] Speaker D: The first time it was at that party, it was with.
It was an. It was a New Year party.
And I believe it was being hosted by.
Oh, it was the Moran party.
And we had been out in the garden, and we were talking about what we wanted to do one day when we were free to leave.
When we're no longer weighed down by expectations of our families.
And.
And I kissed you, and you left.
And then we did not speak again for a very long time.
And that is not something she could know because she did not see it.
There were no mirrors in that courtyard.
It was just us.
And I have never spoken the details of it until now.
[00:44:32] Speaker I: It was that.
It was the night before I agreed to work for my mother.
She sort of brings her hand up to where the unbroken pendant sat on her mother's chest.
She had started talking about bringing in Nadia instead. If I wouldn't do my duty. And thoughts of a free future.
It felt like a fantasy. Like something I would never be able to have.
So did you. And I thought that it would be better to just leave and try and explain that away.
I'm not brave, Alouette. I just.
I was scared to try and better at putting on a face about it. Maybe.
[00:45:50] Speaker D: I understand that far too well.
I think I do the same out.
And that is probably why I have let it be as strange as it has been.
I know.
I know that it is.
We have a very big task ahead of us, and if we fail, then it is all for not.
But I.
I think that that is maybe all the more reason to try.
It is one thing to fight for our world, but that's such a big, abstract concept, you know?
It is much better, I think, to fight for the people you love.
[00:46:57] Speaker I: I certainly wouldn't argue with that. It just.
[00:47:07] Speaker D: You can think about it.
[00:47:14] Speaker I: Yeah.
[00:47:14] Speaker D: Think about it.
[00:47:16] Speaker I: No, wait.
[00:47:17] Speaker D: Wait.
[00:47:18] Speaker I: Please wait.
[00:47:23] Speaker C: I.
[00:47:28] Speaker I: I think that.
I know that I tried to make decisions for people because I don't want them to get hurt. And it's easier if it's me.
And it almost ruined things with Nadia. And it did ruin things with you.
For eight years.
And I don't want to keep doing that.
So if you say that you love me, and if you want to do something with that, then I'll try to believe you.
I just like that, too.
Very much.
[00:48:35] Speaker D: Lou absolutely lights up.
[00:48:40] Speaker E: But it's. It's very clear she's trying to keep it contained because you're working through something, and she doesn't want to overwhelm you.
But I think she is. She is overjoyed enough that she loses her concentration on her face and just reverts back to the hybrid. Mode without even realizing it and says.
[00:49:11] Speaker D: I would.
I would definitely be happy to do so.
[00:49:20] Speaker I: I think sort of very carefully, very gently, I think, still holding one of your hands in hers, Laith runs her fingers along the edge of where your cheekbone would be, where the sort of bone beak is now.
[00:49:43] Speaker D: Oh, I am a bird.
[00:49:49] Speaker I: You're beautiful like you have been. And now, too.
[00:50:01] Speaker D: Not too. Not too bad.
[00:50:09] Speaker I: Here you.
But I think that she will kiss you.
[00:50:18] Speaker E: I don't know how it works, but.
[00:50:19] Speaker I: You'Re getting kissed back.
[00:50:23] Speaker H: Actually, I think maybe. I think maybe this.
[00:50:26] Speaker D: Maybe this is cute.
[00:50:27] Speaker H: Maybe this is cute.
[00:50:28] Speaker E: If you, like, come in for the kiss. And then as you're kissing beak, it melts and she is able to.
To find her. Her former self for a little while.
[00:50:39] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:50:41] Speaker E: You've calmed the bird of beast.
[00:50:48] Speaker H: We did it.
[00:50:50] Speaker C: We did it.
I just want to say that my meme where I was like, oh, you guys have better bang. This season came right before this.
[00:51:01] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:51:02] Speaker I: Do you know how crazy that is?
[00:51:05] Speaker H: I can't believe I have to go to the bathroom. I come back and it's just the most heartfelt. I'm like.
[00:51:12] Speaker E: I didn't actually know I was gonna do that. This session. I messaged Alyssa at the break, and I'm like, is it time? And they're like, yeah. I'm like, okay, let's do this thing.
I had no plans.
[00:51:23] Speaker C: Might as well, right?
[00:51:24] Speaker I: So then in Leaf dies next session, it'll be even sad.
[00:51:28] Speaker C: Exactly.
[00:51:29] Speaker D: Exactly.
[00:51:30] Speaker H: Yeah.
[00:51:35] Speaker B: And we cut to a different part of the mansion, Wherever you are, the area a moth settles down, and you hear the voice of Ertram saying, I just got your message and something is very wrong here.
I. I don't know too much yet. I'm looking into it.
If you have time soon, I might need some help.
And that seems like a pretty good place to end this episode.
[00:52:33] Speaker H: Well, thank you, everyone, for listening to the confession of a lifetime. [00:53:05] Speaker B: 500Amonth.
[00:53:07] Speaker H: Understandable.
Maybe we won't be getting enough money. But if we do hit it, I am held like held to my mantle of doing that.
[00:53:16] Speaker D: Now.
[00:53:18] Speaker H: Remember, everyone stay safe because there are cannibals outside. So don't go out too late at dark. Or else you might get eaten. And not in a fun way.
I'm the cannibal. I'm outside your house now.
[00:53:33] Speaker F: Shab.
[00:53:36] Speaker A: You know it's star.
Where's my love?
Keeps on beating.
Take my head and we must face it again till the escape.
[00:54:59] Speaker D: It.
