[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam. Waking up sleep I've been dreaming and after long I cannot find meaning hold my hand, let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all these demons are always roaming in this red light because me he is reaching out, consuming. [00:01:29] Speaker B: Hello everybody. Welcome back to Gobble Gaze. I'm Aubrey, your gm. I'll tell for my players to introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing, and we'll get rolling into things. [00:01:40] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Aki and I play the vigilante Gravewing, who is a Nagaji's sylph, monk and kineticist. We both use she her pronouns. [00:01:52] Speaker D: Hello, I am Faris, she her and I play Alouette Valer. Also she her a bardic thaumaturge beast kin doing her best while juggling a family curse, falling in love, and of course the end of the world. [00:02:06] Speaker E: Hello, I'm Dusty. I use they he pronouns and I'm playing Eu. Formerly Moran, still a problem, just angrier now. They are a blood hunter nephilim problem. Just. Just trying to fix things, even though it's all bad. They also use they he pronouns. [00:02:31] Speaker F: Hello, I'm Sparlock and I play Alistair Whiskerfield, the great rat detective, arcane archer and wizard extraordinaire, the revolutionary firebrand, sworn enemy to the Scriabins and scourge of the bourgeoisie and master of Nicodemus Tower. We both use he him pronouns. [00:02:53] Speaker G: Hi, I'm Tick. I use he, she, they pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, who uses he they pronouns. He cooks, he cleans, he eats people, and has an alien parasite living in his spine, slowly consuming him. What more could you ask for? [00:03:06] Speaker H: Hi, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them and I play Laithrese iv, Dampier, Dandy, rogue, failed matricide with a negative one constitution modifier. Leith uses she any pronouns. [00:03:20] Speaker B: So was Tell me what happened last time. [00:03:24] Speaker G: Last time on what happened in Goblins and Gays. We kind of just wrapped up a bunch of stuff before the big plan. Last session was doing the big plan. Last was figuring out some stuff. We finally had the confession of a lifetime. Yippee ki yay. Throwing some confetti in the air. The emotional constipation was gone while I was relieving my physical constipation. Unfortunately, I missed part of it. Lou got to talk to some of her birth siblings. Was like, hey, you want to join us? And it's like, I promise we have an ethical group. Is it a cult? No, it's an ethical group. Hens. [00:03:56] Speaker B: A cult. [00:03:56] Speaker G: Ringover. Oh, it's the Unbroken. [00:03:58] Speaker E: I. [00:03:59] Speaker G: Okay. So unfortunate. We also, Nyle and Grave One got to go meet up with Willow, Yellowjacket's wife, which is funny because her name's Widow, and just kind of did a little bit of a catch up. Got them in the loop of how we're going to deal with Johnny Rotten. The plan. We got the squad kind of on the back burners and we essentially just tidied up some loose ends as we now prepare to launch our assault and attack on Johnny Rotten's house, who every time I keep imagining is Johnny Test. And I think that's really funny, that every attack is gonna come with a mental whip crack sound. [00:04:33] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:04:33] Speaker B: It's been taken you about a day or two to put all of these plans into action and get everything. And we open this session with Yuri and what appears to be Clover walking into the Silver Fox. It is. It is very different from the last time either of you have been here. When you were here before, one of you. I don't remember if either of you checked out Gavin's room, because Gavin had a room here. [00:05:07] Speaker E: We did. [00:05:09] Speaker D: Yeah, I think so. [00:05:10] Speaker B: No, I meant it wasn't the rich people. [00:05:12] Speaker D: We had broken into like commoners and rich. And I think it was the commoners who went there. [00:05:16] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:05:16] Speaker B: So. But you've probably seen this before. It used to be there was more life here. And it certainly seems like there's more of a dour atmosphere here. People seem to be scared of making the wrong move, making the wrong person angry. [00:05:40] Speaker A: And. [00:05:42] Speaker B: I'm going to ask you, how are you approaching this? Because both of you are instantly clocked by people when you enter the bar or the establishment. You're kind of down in this bar area where most of the getting to know a person happens before deals are made. And people go up to separate rooms. You can kind of see stairs up. Neither of you see Johnny, but there definitely seems to be a lot of goons. [00:06:20] Speaker H: Yeah. I mean, unless you have another idea, Dusty. I think that the vibe is to just go in with confidence and take a seat at the bar and order whatever it is that Clover drinks and wait for someone to call Johnny out. [00:06:43] Speaker E: And Yuri would order a whiskey. [00:06:46] Speaker B: Yeah. The bartender will put two whiskeys down and sort of look over at you, Clover, and say, boss is a little bit busier right now. If you desperately need to talk to him, he's in his usual room. [00:07:08] Speaker H: Well, I brought a gift, but I. [00:07:10] Speaker D: Guess it can wait. [00:07:13] Speaker E: So nice. [00:07:17] Speaker B: That'S up to you, really. He's. He's in a good mood today if it helps anything. [00:07:26] Speaker H: Well, let's go make it even better. [00:07:31] Speaker B: And the. The bartender will nod and say, yeah, usual room. You know where it is. All the way at the back. The largest one we have. [00:07:40] Speaker H: Yep. And Clover will lead the way. [00:07:44] Speaker E: Yuri's taking the glass of whiskey with them. [00:07:48] Speaker B: So several of you, other two of you walk up the stairs heading towards the room mentioned. And camera will stay down here for a moment as we watch the rest of the group sort of make their way in. Under the guise of just patrons. You're all relatively disguised and. [00:08:18] Speaker E: Going to. [00:08:18] Speaker B: Treat this a little bit like a skill test. How would you all like to work on getting the people out of here? [00:08:30] Speaker C: One second. I'm looking at my skills. [00:08:34] Speaker G: I mean I was told to politely ask people to leave. So I guess. I guess I will just politely tell people that they have to leave. [00:08:50] Speaker D: Let's do it very discreetly. [00:08:54] Speaker G: Yeah, I like, I get discreet. Like I'm gonna follow the tempo of other people. But like people just basically just get up to someone and just be like, you have to leave immediately now. Blinks once, blinks twice. [00:09:14] Speaker B: So diplomacy, intimidation, any other skills, skills that people want to attempt to use to get people out? [00:09:24] Speaker D: I will go for intimidation. Are you scaring them out of here? [00:09:32] Speaker G: That's a dirty 20. Because I rolled really badly. I was thinking like not quite. I guess intimidating is the best way to say I want to weird people out by accident to leave. Which I guess is intimidating its own way. You know. [00:09:54] Speaker D: That'S how LMG does it. [00:10:00] Speaker C: I am going to do a different method. I'm. I'm here disguised as a patron, which means people believe I'm here to. So I am basically going to go around, get one of the. I'm focusing on. On the people who work here, the sex workers and other otherwise gonna do the thing. Except when we get to a more private area, I just drop it all like completely like I'm graveling. You need to get out of here. This place is gonna go up in smoke real soon. And then I will proceed to help them out a window or something. So I can argue athletics over any other skill. [00:10:55] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:11:01] Speaker C: And that is that. That's how I plan on doing. [00:11:03] Speaker D: It was basically the same plan I had. [00:11:08] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean I knew if you want to dip any skill you want to sell me on society. Yeah. I. [00:11:19] Speaker D: Well, you know what? Yes. Because the specific version of it that I was going to do was that Lou was going to basically make it look like she's putting together an orgy with as many sex workers who are into a group session and just try to get a big, big group and then all together get the whole group be like, okay, so listen, here's what's really going down. I'm still gonna pay you for your time. Don't worry about it. But I need you to get out of here so society makes sense. That or just straight up? What. How much money do I have to drop here? [00:11:52] Speaker B: The great news is this is not an incredibly rich district. So it's gonna maybe set you back like five gold in total. [00:12:00] Speaker D: Please let me get them more than that. [00:12:01] Speaker B: You can give them more than that, but this is just how their rates go. They pay like copper pieces. [00:12:07] Speaker D: I'm gonna also tell them to raise their rates. [00:12:09] Speaker B: They're worth more than these. [00:12:11] Speaker D: What have we rolled so far? We got a 20. [00:12:14] Speaker C: I. I rolled a 35 on helping people out windows safely. [00:12:20] Speaker D: You know what? I'm gonna use my hero point already. It's a 24. But I feel like I want to do better. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Way better. Way better. Way better. [00:12:33] Speaker C: That is. [00:12:37] Speaker D: I can't math under pressure. 32. [00:12:41] Speaker B: 32. Okay. And Alistair, how would you like to help people evacuate? [00:12:51] Speaker F: I'm just imagining like the anti social people that aren't in it for the orgy just freaking them out by like being way too social and talking up the. The like craziest shit. Because you know, I. I know that sometimes when I get into my theories, people tend to walk away. So I'm thinking going complete like street preacher on them. [00:13:33] Speaker B: I mean, why don't you just roll the conspiracy lure for that? It doesn't have to be a hidden check. [00:13:42] Speaker F: Oh man. We have combat today. I know we're going to be in a fight. I. I think I'm going to have to take that. 19. [00:13:54] Speaker B: Unfortunately, you are not as successful as other people with getting people to leave. You're just the weird rat in the place now. And it's. People are mostly just going to ignore you because people spouting weird things in a bar. Pretty normal. And so as all of you are working, we cut back upstairs as Laith and Yuri. You open the door to the last room on the hall. And as you enter this opulent room, you see a man sort of sitting at the edge of the bed. He is wearing boots like breeches and no shirt. He's got this sort of messy long hair and this incredibly pale, almost gray skin. Hanging from his belt on sort of these strings are multiple masks and various items. One of the masks you do notice is Lorelai's old mask. And the other thing you notice is there is a body at his feet, and he is with. On the sort of edge of his breeches cleaning a knife. He looks over and sees who he believes is Clover and goes, ah, caught me at just the right time. [00:15:42] Speaker H: Heard you were in a good mood. Thought I could bring you something to make it better. [00:15:49] Speaker B: Yeah, well, what is not to be in a good mood about? He sort of starts like playing with the knife as he sort of gently waves it in your direction and says, now don't. Don't give me suspense. What is this you have for me? [00:16:12] Speaker H: Will sort of gesture to Yuri with a flourish, one of the nobles that was working with Lorelei and the blades. [00:16:29] Speaker E: Yuri walks in, one hand in the air, the other hand also in the air, but holding a glass of whiskey and walking in slowly. Nice place. [00:16:43] Speaker B: One of you give me a deception check me. Yes. I fully expected it would be late. [00:16:52] Speaker H: Hell yeah. That is a 36. [00:17:02] Speaker B: 36, okay. He seems to believe he kind of edges this very obviously dead body with his boot and you know, kind of you watch as this. This man sort of flips over and you can kind of see the. It's not pretty. He's certainly took his time doing whatever this was and says, well, I guess they must be really desperate. [00:17:45] Speaker E: You could just talk to me right here. You don't have to talk to third person. It's fine. The answer, yes, yes, clearly that's why I'm here. Oh. [00:17:59] Speaker B: So you finally decide to come over to the other side. [00:18:06] Speaker E: Well, it's either keep looking behind my back waiting for you, or someone else or my family trying to kill me. So I thought I might as well just work with you all. I burned all my bridges. [00:18:24] Speaker B: That you did. That was some party. [00:18:33] Speaker E: Yeah. Yeah. You know, I also thought that maybe we could have some aligning ideas of what to do as the Blade or whatever you call yourself. [00:18:51] Speaker B: I mean, that's their. Their thing. I just, you know, I. I just wanted my territory back. This place is mine and it always has been, no matter what other people may think. Well, so, you know, sometimes you gotta sleep with some really annoying people to get by. [00:19:21] Speaker E: To be in character for what's happening. Yuri is going to chuckle and say, yeah, it's true. So, well, how attached are you to this blade? Or maybe how attached are you to the high priest Elias Gore? [00:19:50] Speaker B: I mean, as much as I am attached to that my head being attached to my shoulders rather. I mean, at least for now. [00:20:02] Speaker E: Will bringing me over put you in good favor? [00:20:09] Speaker B: I guess it really depends on the information you've got. [00:20:16] Speaker E: Well, I think it depends what kind of information you want about what's happening with the blades or what's happening with the high priest and you. [00:20:36] Speaker B: I mean, I, I, I want to know, want to ferret out the last of their little hidey holes. And I really, really want to display Lorelai's head on a pike somewhere. I think that would make me really happy. [00:21:02] Speaker E: Well, I would need to strike an actual deal before information goes out to you. I'm not going to give it and have you turn around and kill me. [00:21:18] Speaker B: Well, and sort of stinks. And he's looking between both of you. He gets up from where he's sitting on the bed and sort of walks towards you. Yuri, he's still kind of playing with the knife in his hand. And he kind of is like looking at you and. [00:21:45] Speaker E: Says. [00:21:48] Speaker B: We can discuss it over a drink. Currently any of the fucking busy bodies are doing something tonight, so I can't get in touch with the rest of the blade. Got plants. Besides, I never make a deal without at least several drinks. [00:22:14] Speaker E: Yuri's going to look over. Do you want me to grab them? Do you want like motion her head towards Clover? Want them to grab them? Do we go together? Which, what's. [00:22:30] Speaker B: I think we all go down to the bar, we sit there and we talk. [00:22:34] Speaker E: So. [00:22:38] Speaker B: Partially so we can just burn any bridges you have left. [00:22:44] Speaker F: Well. [00:22:46] Speaker E: I should tell you something. If we're going to make a deal, I need one thing. And I'll give you something now to ensure that it happens. [00:23:00] Speaker B: Gives you a go on gesture with the knife in his hand. [00:23:06] Speaker E: Careful with the knife. By the way, last person that stabbed me burned the house down. I assume you like this place? [00:23:13] Speaker B: It does for now. [00:23:19] Speaker E: All I need is to make sure you could give me fair access into Silver Court. So I could go ahead and grab everything from my workshop. Clearly the Moran's are keeping it hostage because I know if I step foot there, they'll kill me. [00:23:41] Speaker B: Yeah, you did. You did cause quite a scene. I mean, I can get you into Silver Court. It doesn't have to be at night. [00:23:56] Speaker E: That's fine. Okay. I should tell you, I've heard that there is more distrust with your group than you think. [00:24:11] Speaker B: Yeah, we're a bunch of thieves and cutthroats. Nobody trusts anybody as far as they can throw them. [00:24:16] Speaker E: Yeah, but specifically you. [00:24:20] Speaker B: It's because of my winning personality. Don't you know. [00:24:25] Speaker E: I used to say the same thing and now look where I am. [00:24:32] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. I mean, drink, figure things out. And if I need to gut somebody because they're telling tales, I'll gut somebody. [00:24:43] Speaker E: Well, it is the high priest. [00:24:49] Speaker B: Yeah, no, he's. We're just working together because our. For now, our interests align. [00:24:59] Speaker E: Your interest align. His interest is to burn this whole town down with you in it. [00:25:08] Speaker B: Not the first time. [00:25:11] Speaker E: Did a little more meaningful this time. [00:25:16] Speaker B: Well, you could certainly try. [00:25:21] Speaker E: Okay, well, I think Yuri is going to motion to the door and is gonna accidentally spill the whiskey. Accidentally spilled a glass of whiskey all over what's his face rotten? Yeah, yeah, Maybe Clover bumped into me by accident. [00:25:48] Speaker B: I mean he kind of just like looks down, he's like, I'm glad I didn't put on a shirt. And then. [00:26:00] Speaker E: Sorry, sorry. [00:26:02] Speaker B: With. He just kind of reaches over, kind of grabs a little bit of your coat, wipes it off. [00:26:14] Speaker A: Okay. [00:26:17] Speaker B: And says air in front of the door. You go first. [00:26:25] Speaker E: Has this been enough time for the group to do their things? Do I need to? [00:26:32] Speaker H: You gotta fuck him, Yuri. [00:26:35] Speaker B: Ah. [00:26:39] Speaker C: Please, please don't fuck him. You're gonna get. You're gonna get minimum three STDs. And we are the we way back. We have a cure for one of them and that's your choice of which one. [00:26:55] Speaker E: I know there's no doxy pep yet. [00:26:58] Speaker G: It's okay, most STD. Most STDs are species based, so if he's a rat, it's fine. That's a lie actually. I just want you to see him. [00:27:09] Speaker B: I'd say, yeah, it's been relatively enough time. [00:27:14] Speaker E: Okay. Out of character again. Was the idea to like let everyone go and then just him up now him. I'm being very clear. [00:27:27] Speaker B: Fight him up, not him up. [00:27:32] Speaker G: I guess so. [00:27:32] Speaker D: Yeah, I guess, yeah. [00:27:37] Speaker E: Legitimately. Group, please. [00:27:39] Speaker C: Yes, you would have had to have start the fight. Unless like something else happened. Like, I don't know, he starts the fight. You can bring them down here if you want to, but you, you, you and, and le would have had to start the fight or tell us somehow. [00:27:59] Speaker E: When I'm starting to open the door, is it clear that there's like no people left in here? [00:28:07] Speaker B: You can't really tell. That's the thing is you're upstairs and down a hall and the majority of the people were down in the, like the bar area. [00:28:19] Speaker E: I need to look at my skills really quick. Where's my. Okay. [00:28:25] Speaker B: And places like this, this actually surprisingly has decently, like, thick walls because, you know, you want a little bit of sound protection. [00:28:33] Speaker E: Yeah. People we know. Yeah. I would like to start going down the stairs, and as I do, I would like to pretend that I'm wiping some of the whiskey off of my jacket. And while doing that, I wouldn't be reaching for my gun. [00:28:56] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, you're. You're doing. Thank you, Leith. Walking downstairs, reaching for your gun. And as you sort of get to the midpoint on the stairs, you can kind of see down into the bar. As you can see, your compatriots have, for the most part, gotten most of the, like, patrons, people who work here out. Pretty much the only people you can see left are his goods. [00:29:27] Speaker E: I think. Then, just as continuing the show, Yuri is going to go behind the counter. If someone's there, I'm just gonna, like, shoo them off and grab a couple glasses and motion for Rotten to sit down. [00:29:47] Speaker H: He only cared about Yuri being in front of him, right? Or was he also gesturing? [00:29:53] Speaker B: Clover, you were both, like, standing in front of the door, so he was, like, keeping both of you in front of him. [00:30:00] Speaker D: Okay. [00:30:01] Speaker B: I mean, you can. If you wanted to have, like, done any kind of stealth or anything, I would allow that. [00:30:08] Speaker H: No, I mean, I think that Clover will just go. Yeah. Maybe go to the bar a little wide so that she can get behind him and maybe stab him before he sits down. [00:30:24] Speaker F: I would like to get on the other side of the table from all of these people. I'm feeling a little exposed. [00:30:31] Speaker B: Yeah, right there. Right there is before. Before we roll into initiative. [00:30:37] Speaker E: Is there a map now? [00:30:38] Speaker B: Good. [00:30:38] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:30:42] Speaker B: Are people good with what their positions are? [00:30:45] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:30:48] Speaker F: The green Fabio looking guy. [00:30:53] Speaker E: It's Grandpa. [00:30:56] Speaker C: That's Peter over there. [00:30:58] Speaker F: He. He's marked red when I hover over him. So I wanted to make sure that he wasn't like, a random enemy that I was. He's. He's looking good for his age. [00:31:11] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:31:12] Speaker C: Yeah. He's one of those. He's one of those. I. I've been stuck in a closet for so many years, but also pseudo immortal, so all it's done is make me weird. But, like, the. The kind of weird that Tumblr chicks would love. [00:31:28] Speaker A: It's. [00:31:29] Speaker E: Craving a Tumblr chick. [00:31:31] Speaker C: No. It looks so she's alternative enough that people be like, oh, my God, golden retriever boyfriend and black cat girlfriend. Can I. [00:31:40] Speaker G: Can I be close to Grave Wing? I want to. I want to be close to her for. [00:31:43] Speaker C: Actually, no. [00:31:43] Speaker G: There's two other people over there. [00:31:44] Speaker C: I do. Yeah. I was going to say there's two other people with me that I don't think you. I don't think the Squishies want to be with the two. [00:31:53] Speaker G: Oh, Haste has a 30 foot range. Hold on, let me see If I can. 30 foot range. You really? Where are you, Nile? [00:31:59] Speaker D: I don't see you on the map. [00:32:01] Speaker G: I'm in the corner. [00:32:02] Speaker D: Oh, okay. There's a pillar in the way. You're standing behind a pillar and you're the same size of it, so it's like you disappeared. [00:32:10] Speaker G: I can't move my token. Can I move like we're paused just a little bit? Yeah, just move a little bit closer so I'm 30ft of grave wing. Yeah, there we go. [00:32:20] Speaker D: Oh, now we can see. [00:32:21] Speaker E: Lou. [00:32:21] Speaker G: Hi, Lou. [00:32:22] Speaker H: Hi. [00:32:23] Speaker A: Hi. [00:32:26] Speaker E: It's so nice to see you. [00:32:27] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. [00:32:29] Speaker F: Yeah. And I pinged the spot that I kind of moved to as they were coming in. Thank you. [00:32:39] Speaker C: I'm heavily debating. You know what, it's fine, actually. I have like four 40ft of movement. I can be anywhere at all times. [00:32:49] Speaker D: Yeah, I can throw cards. I'm not super worried about being close. In fact, I like not being close. [00:32:56] Speaker C: Is Lorelei somewhere here or am I also out of. [00:33:00] Speaker B: Lorelei is also here. I was trying to remember everybody who was here, so I'm gonna put Lorelei, like right there. [00:33:10] Speaker D: Everybody else is outside. I think of our allies. [00:33:14] Speaker B: Well, now we come come to a point where I need initiative roles from people. If you want to try and you can use things like stealth if you would like, or you can use just regular perception. [00:33:28] Speaker G: My stealth is actually not that good. My perception is a little bit less than my stealth. So I will do stealth. It's a little bit higher because it's one point higher. [00:33:40] Speaker B: Yippee. [00:33:43] Speaker C: I'm gonna be really, really honest. I think there's enough. There is enough beef. It's downright generational at this point that Gravewing would. Would not be doing the smart thing of stealthing right now because we did what we needed to do for the innocence, and now it's literally time to throw hands. So I'm just gonna do regular perception. [00:34:11] Speaker H: Dirty 30 stealth for Leith. [00:34:14] Speaker F: 31 for Alistair. [00:34:18] Speaker G: Sweet, sweet. [00:34:19] Speaker C: 26, 24, 33 for perception. [00:34:27] Speaker B: Lou, you get to kick everything off. [00:34:30] Speaker D: Oh, delightful. [00:34:33] Speaker A: Great. [00:34:34] Speaker D: I'm gonna. So the. What do Johnny's goons look like? [00:34:43] Speaker B: They look like you're pretty normal ruffian types. They look human. Ish. There's probably a human elf, half elf dwarf mixed in. [00:34:57] Speaker G: Okay. [00:35:00] Speaker D: Okay. So Unlikely to have a mortal weakness. [00:35:03] Speaker B: You would say unlikely. Yeah. [00:35:06] Speaker D: Okay. Then I'm gonna focus on Johnny instead of. I was trying to see if my sympathetic vulnerabilities would apply in this instance that I don't think it will. So I'm gonna focus on Johnny because he is standing closest to the two people I am not. And I am my cousin and my new partner. So gotta. Gotta defend them. So we're gonna throw. We're gonna. Jeez Louise, I remember how to play this character. I swear. We're gonna ring about an exploit a vulnerability here with ye olde occultism roll. Jeez, when was the last time we played combat? If the feels like forever ago. [00:35:51] Speaker B: It was a bit. You did it against. It was a few weeks ago because you did it against when you were running the trap for clover. [00:36:03] Speaker D: Oh yeah, but I was. Oh yeah. [00:36:06] Speaker B: Okay. [00:36:08] Speaker D: That was not a wonderful roll. It's gonna be only a 26. Is that enough to exploit? [00:36:18] Speaker B: 26 is exactly what you need. [00:36:20] Speaker D: Okay, okay, okay. Sweet. So I get one fact about it learning its highest weakness. Or, or, or one of them. If it has multiple but I don't get resistances or immunity, then I get to exploit it. I feel like I always forget about the first part, but here we go. [00:36:41] Speaker B: Yeah. Well, Johnny is a wererat, so he has a weakness to silver. [00:36:52] Speaker D: Beautiful. Then I'm going to follow this up with a card throw. And I think as she throws it, she sort of runs the card against the rapier and there's like a spark that leaves the edges gilded in silver. And I'm going to roll that card. Woo, baby. Let's go, let's go. That makes up for the last roll. 34. [00:37:25] Speaker A: 34. [00:37:26] Speaker B: 34 will hit. Nice. [00:37:29] Speaker D: And then damage is 2d6. That's really good. That's almost max damage. Let's go. What's that? And I think I've already got the. Yes. I'm already empowered. So that's going to be 17 damage. 17 majority slashing, but not quite all. [00:37:53] Speaker B: Yeah. And as this sort of gets him right across the face, you watch as like the wound itself like starts to sizzle with the silver and. Yeah, no, you certainly kick things off. That's what, two actions, two, one to go. Yeah. [00:38:16] Speaker D: I don't want to do anything different. Not yet. [00:38:20] Speaker H: Not yet. [00:38:21] Speaker D: So I'm going to just throw a second card. No, I'm not 14. Is that a crit? A negative crit, A bad crit? [00:38:33] Speaker B: That is, that is, that is a critical miss. But it's not a Not a one on the dice. So. [00:38:42] Speaker D: Okay, she goes to throw the second card and I think le shifts just right and she panics and throws it the other way so she doesn't hit la. Maybe it goes into a poster of Johnny just for funsies. And that's me. [00:39:02] Speaker B: Yeah. So yeah, it is this. It is Johnny's turn. And Johnny goes. Oh, then I got more interesting. And Johnny is going to take one action, a one action step and sort of tumble across the bar, sort of making sure he doesn't stay in flank and looks at the two people and immediately goes. I had my suspicions. You're good. Missed a few things, but. And then is going to do a second. Second action, quick attack. You watch as a knife. His. The knife he's been sort of holding and gesturing with is going to slice out at you. Le. [00:39:57] Speaker D: Going to ring my bell. [00:39:59] Speaker B: Yes, you can. And you need a what will safe 42. [00:40:10] Speaker D: Oh, wait, no will. Yes. [00:40:12] Speaker C: Sorry. [00:40:12] Speaker D: The other one's four two. Oh, I never scrolled down that far. Yes, sweet. [00:40:17] Speaker H: So. [00:40:18] Speaker D: Oh, wait, no, no, that's bad. I got a. I have a 24. You were out of 26. [00:40:22] Speaker B: Damn. Yeah. [00:40:25] Speaker D: Okay, have a good time. [00:40:29] Speaker B: Right. And so it's. It's, you know, kind of winces at the same time sound, but it doesn't really stop him. And he rolls a 31 on his attack. [00:40:42] Speaker H: That'll hit. [00:40:46] Speaker B: And is going to spend his last action to do a wicked slice along with his. His attack. So you will be taking persistent bleed damage. So it is 11 damage when you're going to be taking 1D6 persistent bleed. [00:41:08] Speaker H: It's like a fort save to stop bleeding. [00:41:12] Speaker B: It is a. It is a. You will make the roll at the end of every. Every turn. You can also spend two actions on your turn to lower the DC. It is a DC15 flat check. [00:41:23] Speaker H: Oh, flat. [00:41:24] Speaker B: Just. [00:41:24] Speaker H: I mean, yeah, okay, cool. Yeah, I feel better about that than I feel about fortitude. Because there's nothing I can do about a flat check. This is true. [00:41:35] Speaker B: But you can spend two actions on your turn to attempt to give yourself a bonus. All right. And that is his turn. And currently, yeah, fight has broken out. It is one of the goons turn. And he is, let's see, 25. Currently he is unaware that the rest of you are hostile because none of you other than lu. So 25. [00:42:12] Speaker G: Just a little guy. I work here. I have the customer service aura. [00:42:16] Speaker B: So is spending two actions to get over to Lou because Lou is the only one who's attacked so far and is Going to come down, doesn't have an action, doesn't really lose the action to draw. So it's going to essentially punch Lou. Yeah, it's not really gonna work with a 19. I don't think that's gonna hit you. Hey, Luz learned something. Yeah. He comes in and essentially is trying to move and try to like get you in like a headlock. But unfortunately you're a little too quick for him. [00:42:55] Speaker D: I thought grave wing do this once. [00:43:01] Speaker B: All right. And that brings us to Alistair. [00:43:05] Speaker F: Yes. So first thing I'm gonna do is I take a look at our target Johnny and try to devise a stratagem that is a two. [00:43:20] Speaker B: Yeah. There's certainly a lot of people in the way of you and Johnny to. It's hard, hard to hit him with a ranged attack. [00:43:27] Speaker F: Yeah, that. That does not seem like a wise thing to take. So I bring briefly reconsider what I'm going to do. It actually doesn't change my plan too, too much though, so. All right. Seeing that I don't have a good shot at Johnny, I target the mook that just attacked lathe. Oh, yeah. I also need to. To need to do my. How do you say? Actually, no. The benefits I get come from hitting. [00:44:13] Speaker D: Him. [00:44:16] Speaker F: With the strategic strike, the vis. So share stratagem. When you hit a creature, known weaknesses. You could also attempt, if you critically succeed, the bonus to attack roll. Yeah, that doesn't make any sense to use in this particular situation. So I won't use any of my other bonuses that I can get with that. Instead, I will, as I say, target the mook that just attacked the lathe and I will do a straight up strike with my one second. It's forcing me to devise a strategem when that doesn't actually work when you're targeting someone else. There we go. Okay. All right. So that is a 31 to hit the mook for five piercing damage. I'm a little disappointed about how much damage I did since I couldn't get as good of a hit as I was hoping. But I will still be able to do my next plan. And I mentally say that thank you to graveling as I cast Fear the third level. All right, and so I am targeting the mook by the door, the mook by the bar, Johnny, the mook by lathe, and. [00:46:11] Speaker E: The. [00:46:13] Speaker F: The mook is that M O O K muscle and the guy to the north for my five targets. [00:46:26] Speaker B: All right, let me know if I forget anybody within my roles. All right, the first one on the left Side of the bar got a 16. The one behind the bar, I got a 21. Johnny got a 39. The one to the north got a 25. The one in front of Lou got a 28. Am I missing anyone? [00:47:02] Speaker F: Was that five? [00:47:04] Speaker B: Yes. [00:47:04] Speaker F: One, two. That should be everyone. So everyone is affected on some level, except for Johnny. The ones I didn't hear anything below, like 14 or below. But anybody below, like below 24 is frightened too. And the ones that are below 34. Oh, wait, Johnny gets affected too, doesn't he? [00:47:33] Speaker B: He got a critical success. [00:47:35] Speaker F: Oh, did he get like 39 or wait. [00:47:38] Speaker B: No, he got a 39 and he had a net 20. [00:47:42] Speaker F: Okay, 10 above or below, right? Or is it 5? Why is my brain not working? [00:47:49] Speaker B: And then also it being a Nat20 bumps it up one level of success. [00:47:53] Speaker F: So he got. He got a super critical. Yes, but everybody else is either frightened one or frightened two. So that. That was a good turn. And that is all of my actions. I am the rat of fear. I am the knight. I am rat. [00:48:21] Speaker H: Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy. Can I stab him across the bar? [00:48:27] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:48:28] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:48:29] Speaker A: Sweet. [00:48:31] Speaker H: I am going to faint, I think, just with a punch. And then Wick whip out the Adrisi dagger and attempt to stab him. Okay, so the faint is a dirty 30. [00:48:51] Speaker B: Dirty 30. That would be a success, but not a critical success. [00:48:54] Speaker H: But it is a critical success because of the talisman that I got from my bird girlfriend. So they are off guard against all melee attacks and have a minus two circumstance penalty to perception and reflex saves. And I will use after I faint. I'm allowed to step for free. So I will step. Does that count as flanking with Yuri or. No, because. [00:49:34] Speaker B: No, you don't. There's no. You can't draw a line. [00:49:38] Speaker H: Yeah, like a straight line. [00:49:39] Speaker A: Oh. [00:49:39] Speaker H: Oh, no. Oh, no. I dropped my map somewhere weird. Oh, dear. [00:49:45] Speaker B: Oh, dear. [00:49:46] Speaker H: Oh, oh. Okay, I figured it out. [00:49:51] Speaker E: Okay. Oh, no. [00:49:54] Speaker D: I sort of. [00:49:55] Speaker H: Yeah, jump over the bar and move behind Johnny and next to one of the. The muscle, and then go ahead and stabby stab. [00:50:12] Speaker D: So whatever that would be. [00:50:14] Speaker H: And at 20 plus 17 is. 37. [00:50:17] Speaker B: 37. Okay. You'll get a. We'll get a card. [00:50:23] Speaker H: Does precision versus piercing matter at all for him? [00:50:27] Speaker B: Not for him. And the only thing is, yeah, he just has a weakness to silver. [00:50:33] Speaker H: Alas, I do not have any silver. [00:50:39] Speaker D: You might hold on. Oh, it's on a range of touch. [00:50:46] Speaker H: Dang. [00:50:47] Speaker D: Oh, wait, wait, wait. Nope, it's only on a range of touch thing. I'm seeing if maybe apparently gave you the silver. But that's not. Oh, no, that's later. That's later. I get to be gay. I'm not at that level yet. [00:51:01] Speaker H: I'm not at that gay level. I mean. Yeah, we just got. [00:51:03] Speaker D: We got to level up the game before we can be sharing silver vulnerabilities. [00:51:08] Speaker H: You know, we only had one conversation. [00:51:12] Speaker D: Jeez. [00:51:16] Speaker H: But that is a. Is that all it is? I guess I just rolled bad. That is 17 doubled is 34 damage. [00:51:28] Speaker B: 34. And your card is called two in a row. Deal normal damage to an additional target adjacent to the original target. So the one that's, you know, directly next to you. Amazing. [00:51:39] Speaker H: Should I just roll again or. [00:51:42] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, just roll again. And while you're doing that, Johnny activates his reaction. And his reaction is called wire catch. He. You watch as you didn't even notice this before, but he has this very thin filament wrapped around one of his other hands and with a quick movement is going to attempt to grapple you. Laith rude. And that is a 32 to grapple you. [00:52:29] Speaker H: Is that against a DC or am. [00:52:31] Speaker B: I rolling like it is a 42? [00:52:33] Speaker H: DC, I have a 20 is my fortitude. [00:52:37] Speaker B: DC such as a critical success, your attack will still go off on everything. But you are now restrained, Which means you have off guard and immobilized conditions. You can't use any attack or manipulate options except to attempt to escape or force open your bots. [00:53:08] Speaker H: Okay, I think that Leith just says, I didn't think that you and Clover had that type of relationship. And we'll use Bonmo. So this is against their will. DC. Deception diplomacy is a 28. [00:53:46] Speaker B: 28 is a failure. [00:53:50] Speaker H: Boo. [00:53:53] Speaker B: Does anything still happen on a failure? [00:53:56] Speaker H: I only see crit success, success and crit failure. So I think, no. [00:54:04] Speaker B: And he just sort of laughs and says, oh, you have no idea what fun we got up to. And to be a little gross, he licks your face. [00:54:17] Speaker C: Ah, you have chlamydia now. [00:54:19] Speaker H: Supposed to be Gary, not me. And then do I bleed or do I roll to stop bleeding first? [00:54:28] Speaker B: You bleed first. [00:54:29] Speaker H: Okay. [00:54:30] Speaker B: And then you roll to stop bleeding. [00:54:33] Speaker H: That is two bleeding. [00:54:36] Speaker B: And then you just roll a flat D 2015 or up. You will stop bleeding. Anything below that, you continue. [00:54:45] Speaker D: That's a seven. [00:54:46] Speaker H: So I am still bleeding on him. [00:54:51] Speaker B: Hey, Yuri, it's not your turn. [00:54:54] Speaker E: Yuri sees the sizzling after the attacks from Lou catching that it's silver. As soon as they realize that, they sigh down this cup of whiskey and they're going to use Their first action to hybrid transformation. Okay, it's been a minute. So they still, you know, become up, dear. You all hear the cracking of limbs and them reforming together. [00:55:29] Speaker B: Their ant. [00:55:30] Speaker E: Their horns turn to antlers. And now their claws that they have. And teeth much like that of a xenomorph are glistening because they're now silver. And going to use a first attack to snarl. That was a bad choice. And bite down on Johnny. We use a hero point for that. That is much better. That is a 19 on the dice plus 16. 35. Is that math? 35. [00:56:22] Speaker H: And they are still off guard, even though we're not beautifully flanking because of my crit. [00:56:28] Speaker E: So that 30 set. [00:56:29] Speaker B: 30. 37. That is just barely a. A crit. [00:56:37] Speaker E: That's unfortunate for them because that is going to be doing two D10 silver, I think piercing damage. Yeah. Where's the. I only have D20s with me. Dice, help. Dice, please. Dice, help, dice. Second one. Second, second. That is going to be seven plus three and is 10 plus. [00:57:27] Speaker B: Five. [00:57:28] Speaker E: So 15 doubled. 30. Right. [00:57:37] Speaker B: Yuri, as this blood floods your mouth from biting him, can you make me a fortitude check? [00:57:44] Speaker E: Yeah, I know. It's that math. God, one screen sucks. 29. [00:58:03] Speaker B: 29. You think you're okay? [00:58:09] Speaker E: Yeah, Yuri always does. And they're going to be following that up with a claw attack, Which is not nearly as impressive. So that's going to be minus not. What is it? It's it called? Not finesse. The other one. Is it finesse? Agile is a new thing. [00:58:38] Speaker H: Agile is the. [00:58:41] Speaker B: Finesse uses dexterity modifier instead of strength modifier on attack rolls. Agile. Yeah. [00:58:48] Speaker E: Now they are agile. That's cool. [00:58:51] Speaker B: Yeah, agile. I mean, minus 4, minus 8 rather than minus 5, minus 10. [00:58:56] Speaker E: I mean, that's only going to bring it down by four from a 14 to a 10 plus 16. So that's gonna be 26, which I. [00:59:05] Speaker B: 26 does not going to hit. Yeah. [00:59:08] Speaker E: Okay, wait, 28. [00:59:12] Speaker A: 28. [00:59:13] Speaker B: 28 will. [00:59:15] Speaker E: Yeah, because they're. They're off guard still. Right? [00:59:20] Speaker B: Then where did you get two from? [00:59:23] Speaker E: Well, because they're off guard, right? [00:59:24] Speaker B: It reduces their AC by two. [00:59:27] Speaker E: Yeah. Oh, okay. [00:59:30] Speaker B: Never mind a third. He's 37. Exactly. Crits. [00:59:34] Speaker E: Okay. [00:59:34] Speaker B: Yeah, I was like, wait, where she suddenly get two from? [00:59:40] Speaker E: I. I'm. Yeah, you're so tired. [00:59:43] Speaker B: It's valid. [00:59:44] Speaker E: Okay, that's my turn. [00:59:51] Speaker B: And it's Lorelai's turn. Lorelai is going to rush at the person who is frightened over here. The one on the north in front of this nice cozy fireplace and is going to open with a faint. Honey. And that is a success, but not a critical success. So he will be off guard to her first short sword attack. 28. And that will hit. She gets a sneak attack. All right, this person will take 15 damage and then go sort of starts off with this one slash and then comes back with a second. Okay, Lorelei, please, please do better. That was. That was a nat one for like a 14. You know, it's. There's a lot going on for Lorelei mentally right now. [01:01:06] Speaker C: It's okay, babe. [01:01:08] Speaker D: Do it again. [01:01:10] Speaker C: This is not in character. [01:01:14] Speaker B: And I think I pulled what might be the. One of the worst cards in the deck. [01:01:19] Speaker C: The shut the up, use your hero point Aubrey, and have them. [01:01:27] Speaker B: The card is called catastrophic failure. And through some almost sitcom levels of mishaps, Lorelei knocks herself unconscious one round. [01:01:44] Speaker E: Oh, the Yuri Special. [01:01:46] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:01:49] Speaker G: Lorelei, no. You are supposed to be the chosen one. You were supposed to bring balance to the force, not destroy it. [01:01:59] Speaker C: It's okay. You ever, like, watch an animated fight if someone is knocked out for just like a few seconds and they get. [01:02:06] Speaker H: Back up and they. [01:02:07] Speaker C: They're better? That's what's happened. That's what's happened. [01:02:10] Speaker B: That's what happening. That's the narrative. So, yeah, Lorelei will be out for the count for the. Until the end of her next turn. [01:02:20] Speaker D: So she will pop back up. We don't have to like, run to healer. Unless she's attacked again. [01:02:25] Speaker B: Yeah, okay. [01:02:28] Speaker D: I was. I was ready to change everything. [01:02:32] Speaker C: Well, actually, it's that in front of her. Guys, guys. [01:02:37] Speaker D: But. But she's in disguise, so theoretically she just looks like some rando and not Lorelei, so they have no reason to go after her if she's unconscious. Just saying. Just saying. [01:02:48] Speaker C: Yeah, but what have you. [01:02:50] Speaker B: These are her people. [01:02:52] Speaker D: Oh, my God. [01:02:55] Speaker B: This is the great part is she doesn't count as being at like with zero hp. She just counts as being unconscious. So she gets hit. She's. She's got to go through her health first. So, yeah. [01:03:09] Speaker D: Both those. And this is so before she is. She's just. [01:03:12] Speaker C: Both those guys go before anyone of on our side. [01:03:17] Speaker D: But there's moving people. There's lots of other targets. [01:03:21] Speaker F: Yeah, unfortunately, at least one of them is scared. [01:03:27] Speaker B: So unfortunately. Also, yeah, Lorelai did just hit him and he pull spends an action to pull out his long sword and then spins an action to stab. [01:03:38] Speaker C: What? [01:03:38] Speaker D: She's unconscious. [01:03:40] Speaker A: Who is she? [01:03:41] Speaker B: She's no one. [01:03:42] Speaker D: You've never seen her before. Why is he so petty? Get out of here. So. [01:03:50] Speaker B: So first action, pull out long sword. Second action is looks over at the one over by the bar and is going to use chastising enforcement on him and is going to see. All right. And as the he orders the other one to just buckle down. Fight Protect Johnny. The one by the bar appears to shake off his frightened. Is mechanically no longer frightened. And then will spend his last action to stab Lorelei. [01:04:34] Speaker D: He's a loser and everybody always thought so. [01:04:39] Speaker B: Now Lorelei takes damage as she is stabbed with this sword. And that's his turn. And now it is the one that has is. It's right next to Leith. I just got stabbed. IR and is going to help Johnny with dealing with the false Clover spends an action to unsheathe his longsword in action to attack Leith. For 31. [01:05:25] Speaker H: Yeah, that'll it. [01:05:30] Speaker B: I take 16 damage and is going to use his last action to create an opening. And you watch as using this blade kind of makes it a little bit harder for you to move and defend yourself. And you take a minus two status penalty to their AC against the next strike made made against them before the start of this character. This fighter's next turn. [01:06:04] Speaker H: Status penalty status. [01:06:08] Speaker G: Okay. [01:06:12] Speaker B: All right, let's. I'm going to make a roll for the other one that is by Lorelei and will go high. He moves on to a different target low. He joins his friend in stabbing. Well, you're all in luck. I rolled high. He. He appears to believe that his brother in arms has this covered and he is going to. Let's see. So is going to be moving by you graveling if you want to take a reaction. [01:07:06] Speaker C: Yes, because. Because I have the thingy that I'm for blinking on its name right now. [01:07:14] Speaker B: Stand still. [01:07:15] Speaker C: Stand still. Thank you. So this is just a regular strike, right? [01:07:19] Speaker B: Yes. [01:07:26] Speaker C: It's been a while. I can't flurry this one. I just have to straight up hit him, right? [01:07:30] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:07:31] Speaker C: Okay. Thank you. Oh, that's really, really good. But I'm going to use a calculator because I don't want to be awake right now. 35. [01:07:49] Speaker B: 35. 35 will also crit. So it stops him from moving. And I believe it also stops him from taking any move actions. [01:08:00] Speaker C: I think it does. [01:08:05] Speaker H: Yeah. [01:08:05] Speaker C: I disrupt that action. He cannot move. I should roll the damage. Gosh, where are you damaged? There you are. The. The regular people, right? No, no abjuration here going on. Right. Okay. I just wanted to know if Bane just goons I hit him for. For 10. Yes. Sorry. [01:08:43] Speaker D: For two seconds. [01:08:43] Speaker C: I was looking at the wrong thing, hit him for 10. I just, I think as, as he runs by and I'm. I don't know, I'm looking civil, I don't know, like a civilian. I just reach out and sucker punch him. He does a full pirouette. That kind of level of sucker punching. [01:09:16] Speaker B: Yeah. So we'll swing around, realizing now that you are a threat. We'll pull out his sword and slash at you. You know, what goes around, comes around. Cuz he also rolled a. A natural one. [01:09:37] Speaker C: My guy's disoriented. [01:09:45] Speaker B: This card is called head first. [01:09:52] Speaker C: I get ahead. [01:09:55] Speaker B: I mean, he falls unconscious until the. [01:10:00] Speaker D: End of his experience. [01:10:05] Speaker C: Can I narrate? [01:10:06] Speaker B: Yes. [01:10:07] Speaker C: Thank you. He goes for like a lunge or a thrust with the sword. I step out of the way, grab his wrist, pull him further, grab his head and just hit him. There's like a barrel, like, or something like that, or barrel, stool, table, something wooden there. And I just hit his. His head on it and knock him out. [01:10:33] Speaker B: Yeah. He will be unconscious until the end of his next turn. [01:10:53] Speaker A: Waking up dreaming dark so long I cannot find the meaning hold my hand let me stay by your side through this never ending night I can feel but now it haunts me all these demons how they surround me in this red light it calls me he is reaching out consuming. Where's my love won't hold this heart divine Is a dark just a dream Come on, doctor.
