[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam.
[00:00:43] Speaker B: Waking up dreaming Dr. Long I cannot find the meaning hold my hand let me stay by your side oh this never ending night I can feel it now it holds me all the his demon me in this red light because me he's reaching out consuming.
[00:01:31] Speaker C: Hello everybody. Welcome back to Goblin's Gaze. I'm Aubrey, your gm. I'll tell some of my players to introduce themselves us who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll get rolling into things.
[00:01:40] Speaker D: Hi, I'm Aki and I play the vigilante Grave Wing, who is a Nagaji self monk and kineticist. We both use she her pronouns.
[00:01:52] Speaker E: Hello, I am Faris, she her and I play Alouette Valer. Also she her, a bardic thaumaturge beast kin doing her best while juggling a family curse, falling in love, and of course, the end of the world.
[00:02:06] Speaker F: Hello, I'm Dusty. I use they he pronouns and I'm playing Eu.
Formerly Moran, still a problem, just angrier now. They are a blood hunter nephilim problem.
Just.
Just trying to fix things, even though it's all bad. They also use they he pronouns.
[00:02:31] Speaker G: Hello, I'm Sparlock and I play Alistair Whiskerfield, the great rat detective, arcane archer and wizard extraordinaire, the revolutionary firebrand, sworn enemy to the Scriabins and scourge of the bourgeoisie and master of Nicodemus Tower. We both use he him pronouns.
[00:02:53] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Tick. I use he, she, they pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, who uses he they pronouns. He cooks, he cleans, he eats people, and has an alien parasite living in his spine, slowly consuming him. What more could you ask for?
[00:03:06] Speaker A: Hi, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play Laithrese, the fourth Dampier, Dandy rogue, failed matricide with a negative one constitution modifier. Leith uses she. Any pronouns.
[00:03:20] Speaker C: So let's tell me what happened last time.
[00:03:24] Speaker B: But yeah, after a long and brutal fight, we killed the rat. That's kind of the summary of it. Everyone got to low health and lace gave the rat man the most undignified death that he ever could. Not the good rat man, the cringe, feral rat man. You know, the one that Yuri was kind of attracted to, but decided that it would best if he didn't say anything less ruin his reputation with the rest of the group. He was kind of dreaming about it on the inside, you know, but we all managed to defeat all of the enemies and thus lay a puddle of bodies and potentially unconscious bodies. I think some people Showed mercy. I didn't get to kill someone, so I. I couldn't decide to show mercy. But maybe someone did. Who knows?
We win those confetti. Also, we leveled up those more confetti.
[00:04:05] Speaker C: So, yeah, where we left things off is you're standing in the bloody Portello, and, yeah, you evacuated people. And I guess now is figure out what you're gonna do about this.
[00:04:23] Speaker G: I'm still frightened.
[00:04:27] Speaker C: If we can hand wave that because, you know, combat's over, I think there's enough time for you to rationalize that there's nothing to be frightened of.
[00:04:41] Speaker G: I'm just giving Niall the side eye I haven't seen.
I've seen some things, but that's something a whole other level.
[00:04:55] Speaker B: You saw the horrors, and the horrors are looking back, looking a little concerned. Why you still look so raggedy.
[00:05:00] Speaker G: Also, I'm pretty sure Nile is still bleeding out, so we might want to take care of that.
[00:05:06] Speaker B: Oh, I'll take a shot of vodka.
[00:05:08] Speaker C: Niall, give me.
Give me a roll me a flat check.
[00:05:17] Speaker B: We're taking a shot of vodka.
[00:05:20] Speaker C: You're still bleeding.
[00:05:22] Speaker B: All right. I am bleeding.
[00:05:24] Speaker E: You can stop that.
[00:05:28] Speaker B: Okay, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on. It's just a D20, right?
[00:05:31] Speaker C: Flat D20.
[00:05:32] Speaker B: Yeah, that's a two.
[00:05:35] Speaker C: Take six damage.
[00:05:37] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:05:40] Speaker E: It's okay.
[00:05:42] Speaker F: We have like five ways of healing this. It's fine.
[00:05:45] Speaker E: Yeah, take your pick.
You want to get bandaged up? Do you want to be touched by gloves or do you want to take a drink?
[00:05:53] Speaker B: I mean, the drink won't heal my bleeding. I just want someone to make me stop bleeding. On the floor, please.
[00:05:58] Speaker G: Yeah, we'd have to get to. We can help out, like by bandaging to lower the DC to 10. But the only thing that can stop it is healing to full.
[00:06:13] Speaker B: I mean, the shot of vodka will hear some health if I need it. So we just keep. We can keep praying that I roll high, which is actually. No, that sounds worse now that I'm becoming Arrow.
[00:06:22] Speaker E: That's right.
[00:06:23] Speaker F: We'll figure it out.
[00:06:25] Speaker E: Give you just. Just by giving you a drink, I can give you 45 hit points.
[00:06:34] Speaker B: That will not get me up to four. Sadly,
[00:06:38] Speaker E: that's just step one.
[00:06:43] Speaker F: I think Yuri transformed back to non stack form is like trying to rinse out their mouth with whatever alcohol is possible.
Both from like just ripping two people to shreds. And also Johnny and then.
Well, I assume we should let the
[00:07:15] Speaker A: road know we should do something with his body first. I assume it's not safe to eat, but.
[00:07:25] Speaker F: No, no, no, no. No, no, Niall, absolutely not.
[00:07:30] Speaker B: I look stupid. Listen, I might eat people, but I know not to eat.
[00:07:34] Speaker F: You ask to eat worse. You've asked to eat worse.
[00:07:37] Speaker B: No, I haven't. This is clearly beyond what anyone should interact with on a normal level.
[00:07:45] Speaker A: Lake has stepped over the viscera of the goon that maybe Yuri killed May, but maybe it was Leith who actually hit the healing blow. Who could say?
And is going digging through Johnny's body looking for all his secret stuff.
[00:08:01] Speaker D: I. I am also doing the exact same, but I'm going to pick up the nearest sword just to make sure I decapitate him.
[00:08:10] Speaker C: Yeah, on Johnny's body, he has a dagger, a war razor, a short sword, pretty much wearing leather armor.
There is a symbol of the Grave Blade. There is Lorelei's mask, and he doesn't have it on him, but he also usually does wear a coat which is a.
Which is a. A unique item that I will drop the description of in the.
The chat in a bit.
[00:08:52] Speaker A: It feels like a lot of people have the icons of the Grave Blade. Does that just seem like it is, ah, how would you say, like, relevant, Thematically relevant to their personal beliefs or like there might be something going on with that deity and church?
[00:09:12] Speaker C: You want to give me a religion check?
[00:09:17] Speaker A: Oh, boy, that's a natural one. I'm gonna use a hero point.
Okay, that's much better.
[00:09:27] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:09:30] Speaker A: 33.
[00:09:31] Speaker C: 33. I mean, you aware that the Great Blade is kind of a little bit more of a.
They don't. You don't worship the Grave Blade as openly as one does, like the Star Mother. But the Grave Blade, Their domains are trickery, pain, and fate.
Their edicts are to be skilled and clever, savor in the pain you inflict, and honor those who follow fate's plan.
Quite often people who are rogues or assassins. It's a pretty common deity for many assassins.
[00:10:05] Speaker A: I mean, coming back to life doesn't seem a lot like following fate's plan, though.
[00:10:10] Speaker C: I mean, who's to say he was even dead in the first place?
[00:10:14] Speaker A: Brave Wayne and Lorelai and Clover.
[00:10:18] Speaker D: I'm pretty sure he's dead.
I'm gonna decapitate him.
Yeah.
And when that is done, I'm going to stick his neck part into the sword and carry it around like an unnecessary tor. Everything about that is unnecessary, but that's how I'm choosing to carry it around.
But, like, now that I'm, like, up close, like, I know what Johnny looked like.
Has anything changed?
[00:10:52] Speaker C: Like, his skin is certainly a lot grayer than it used to be. He was always a pale motherfucker. But like now it's sort of like a grayish pallor that was like sort of took over his skin.
He has a lot more scars on his body.
Some of them look ritualistic. Some of them just look like battle wounds.
[00:11:14] Speaker D: Can somebody who is proficient in magic please take a look at this ugly motherfucker?
I'm pretty sure this is a reanimated corpse.
[00:11:30] Speaker B: I'm okay with magic. I can give it a look see. Alex, did you want to give it a look see too?
[00:11:35] Speaker G: I definitely do.
[00:11:38] Speaker B: Can I help Mr. Great Mouse detective?
[00:11:44] Speaker G: I don't know, can you.
You got offset that frighten somehow.
Oh yeah, we were hand waving that right?
Because okay, I give you a pat
[00:12:01] Speaker B: on the head and you're like, okay, never. No, I give you a small piece of cheese and the frightened goes away.
[00:12:07] Speaker D: I just go chicken boy. Bird daughter. There's also a bunch of marks, ritual looking things on them if you guys want to take a look.
[00:12:17] Speaker G: So are we talking arcana, undead lore, occultism? Actually my arcana is better than my undead lore.
[00:12:28] Speaker C: I would go arcana or occultism.
[00:12:32] Speaker E: Okay, I'll roll occultism and I roll
[00:12:35] Speaker B: that stat to help.
[00:12:36] Speaker D: Right?
[00:12:37] Speaker C: You can. You can assist rather than rolling.
You would roll that stat and.
[00:12:43] Speaker B: Yeah, So we don't roll like 17 different rolls.
[00:12:51] Speaker F: That.
[00:12:51] Speaker C: That is going to be a wait. No, that's not your roll.
Maybe I should.
I don't know what Spock got, but
[00:13:01] Speaker E: I got 33 for cultism arcana because
[00:13:05] Speaker C: of the critical assist that they got from nile. They got a 35.
[00:13:09] Speaker E: Oh, nice. Go for it.
[00:13:11] Speaker C: So yeah, as you're pouring over this. Yeah, no, this isn't like.
This isn't like, you know, being returned from death through like alchemical means Something definitely returned Johnny to life, but it wasn't like a full resurrection or anything.
So he, you know, he should be his probably dead now, you know, especially since his head is separated from his body.
And for some of these like ritualistic looking.
Yeah, the.
One of the things that is known is some of the more extreme followers of the grave blade will sort of mark themselves up as they make kills.
[00:14:07] Speaker F: Or.
[00:14:07] Speaker C: Or if they feel like they have wronged the grave blade, they will, you know, scar themselves as penance.
Because pain is the ultimate teacher.
[00:14:26] Speaker E: While they're looking at that, I just want to real quick tug on the bow for the lover's knot unlaid and just activate that little healing bit.
[00:14:41] Speaker A: She looks marginally.
[00:14:44] Speaker D: Don't worry about it.
[00:14:48] Speaker E: But it is 2D6 plus 7.
Yeah.
[00:14:56] Speaker C: Did somebody heal Nile up to full.
Yeah.
[00:15:03] Speaker E: We can battle medicine. You definitely got the.45 from me at one point.
[00:15:08] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:15:10] Speaker G: You know, like it says, must have a throat and mouth. It doesn't say it must have lungs.
[00:15:19] Speaker C: I mean, if Gravewind hadn't put the head on the sword.
[00:15:23] Speaker G: Oh, I missed the.
[00:15:27] Speaker B: And just imagine Gravewing cutting the head off just as Niall's talking to Alice. She was like, I can bring him back as long as the throat's intense. Cat looks over his.
[00:15:34] Speaker E: Great.
She's like.
[00:15:37] Speaker C: Shoves it.
[00:15:37] Speaker E: Right.
[00:15:38] Speaker D: That would have been, like, so good to know beforehand.
But I don't think he was going to talk much anyways.
Yeah.
Besides, you know, saying very deeply unpleasant things about your mother.
[00:15:54] Speaker B: Which one?
[00:15:56] Speaker F: Yes.
[00:16:01] Speaker E: Anyways, what was I gonna say?
[00:16:07] Speaker B: We could try some of the other bodies on the floor or. Is anyone still alive after this massacre?
[00:16:13] Speaker D: My first guy that I took down.
[00:16:15] Speaker C: There's one.
[00:16:15] Speaker D: Yeah, I left one.
I mean, it's not on the map right now, but he was. He was. There you go. There he is. I. I left him alive.
[00:16:26] Speaker C: Yeah, he's. He's unconscious.
[00:16:28] Speaker B: Ring of truth is a lot easier than bringing back the dead temporarily. I will say.
[00:16:34] Speaker E: I was gonna go right through the office while you do that.
[00:16:39] Speaker G: Yeah, I'm thinking documents, because, you know, everybody fears the IRS or the.
The equivalent in this region.
[00:16:51] Speaker D: Well, be quick with your raid.
Who knows who's coming to this place afterwards?
[00:16:58] Speaker G: Stc, Salieri, tax collectors, I don't know.
[00:17:05] Speaker C: So if you want to. If the two of you want to dig through the office, if you want to give me perception or society roles,
[00:17:16] Speaker E: I'd love to use my new mastered perception.
[00:17:19] Speaker C: Yeah, you can do. You can do that.
[00:17:24] Speaker D: Let's go.
[00:17:25] Speaker E: That's great. That's a good number, that is. I rolled the same number that I have in Perception, so that's going to be a 36.
[00:17:35] Speaker G: I'm apparently still distracted because that's a 26.
[00:17:38] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:17:39] Speaker E: My dice are making up for last session.
[00:17:43] Speaker C: So you learn quite a few things from. From this is.
There has been quite a few people who have, over the past couple months, have been hired for private parties at the Scabin. Residents who have never returned.
And quite a bit of money appears to be funneled to the Scriabens from here as well.
And unfortunately, the. The person who used to run this place is now dead.
Even before Johnny. The person who ran it and Johnny killed them pretty early on.
[00:18:29] Speaker B: Do they have a throat And. I'm kidding.
[00:18:31] Speaker F: I'm kidding.
[00:18:31] Speaker B: I'm kidding.
[00:18:32] Speaker C: They're long gone.
[00:18:35] Speaker E: This is perhaps bad news, but not, I suppose, unexpected.
Though it does give me
[00:18:46] Speaker C: a bad
[00:18:46] Speaker E: idea that might be useful.
But let us see what else is. Is found by the others and maybe we can discuss it later.
[00:19:01] Speaker A: Sorry, was this.
Was this looking around the bar up in Johnny's room?
[00:19:07] Speaker E: The office.
[00:19:07] Speaker G: The office.
[00:19:08] Speaker A: Okay, cool.
[00:19:11] Speaker E: If this information was in the bar. I knew Johnny was bad at running an establishment, but he's worse than I thought.
[00:19:21] Speaker C: Yeah, that's kind of the information you're finding is that a lot of this just money and people were being siphoned off for things to do with the Scriabins and possibly other members of the Blade.
[00:19:38] Speaker G: If I take a look, the person that I was searching for early on or like, do any of the names ring a bell? Just have passing through the list?
[00:19:55] Speaker C: No, because, I mean, the person you were looking for wasn't.
Was a maid that was hired.
These were people who were hired to provide entertainment at a party.
[00:20:09] Speaker E: But we'll share this information with the group once they're done doing whatever they're doing.
[00:20:16] Speaker F: I wanted to check the room that Johnny was staying in.
[00:20:21] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. In there you find quite a few stashes of flay leaf and other various narcotics.
A couple of bags of probably about 200 gold between the. The few bags that you're able to dig up. And there's the dead body.
[00:20:48] Speaker F: What is this?
[00:20:52] Speaker C: Give me a society check.
[00:20:54] Speaker A: I also wanted to check out the room. Can I also make a society check?
[00:20:58] Speaker G: Thank you.
[00:20:58] Speaker F: Thank you, thank you.
[00:21:04] Speaker A: 31.
[00:21:07] Speaker C: 31. And did you roll Yuri,
[00:21:14] Speaker F: if Nath was up here? No, I was maybe looking around at something else and maybe the who is this even was probably too late.
[00:21:26] Speaker C: All right, well, you're initially surprised at who this is. It's.
They were one of the teachers at Ravenswood.
It was a.
Ali Kaldova, who is the professor of evocation at Ravenswood.
[00:21:55] Speaker A: Any rumors about them being missing or about their other affiliations that I have heard with gossip lore, perhaps?
[00:22:04] Speaker C: Well, give me also a gossip lore, but I'll definitely tell you. You haven't heard anything about them being missing.
[00:22:15] Speaker A: That's just a 28.
[00:22:16] Speaker C: 28.
Unfortunately, Lee was a relatively new professor, only been there a few years and they. They came from.
From.
From a different country.
So there's not too much known about them. And as far as you know, they don't have any connections in the city.
[00:22:44] Speaker A: Do we think that they would have overlapped with Juniper when she was a student?
[00:22:51] Speaker C: Yeah, you would think that Juniper's. I think last year was like her first or second year.
[00:22:56] Speaker A: Okay, cool.
I should say. Leif will make a sort of mental note to ask Junie if she knows anything else, but we'll say it's just a professor from Ravenswood.
Evocation, I think.
[00:23:20] Speaker F: Why would Johnny even care about this?
[00:23:24] Speaker A: Talus I could see, but this, I don't know.
[00:23:29] Speaker F: Do you remember from the conversation when we got here in disguise? Well, you know, what did they mention about this person that they just killed?
[00:23:41] Speaker C: I think they mentioned something about them being a traitor.
[00:23:49] Speaker F: Johnny said they were a traitor.
Were they?
Is there any visible, like my G is going to like, maybe a little rudely, like turn over the body to see if there's any like, unbroken, like, insignia or whatever the Johnny Appleseed rotten guy has.
[00:24:14] Speaker C: Johnny never had any of the unbroken. Like he didn't have the. The necklace or anything. But Lee certainly does have a necklace of the unbroken,
[00:24:25] Speaker F: so.
Well, traitor to the unbroken.
[00:24:33] Speaker A: I can't imagine he would care about that unless it was a favor for Cygnus. But Leith will lean down and take the necklace.
[00:24:44] Speaker F: Yeah, I mean, it might be. At this point Johnny would probably take any excuse to just kill someone, so.
[00:24:54] Speaker A: Well, it's not like we're gonna get anything out of her.
Did you find anything else?
[00:25:02] Speaker F: Drugs? Money?
Should probably destroy the drugs, clearly. And give Loreline graving the bunny to see what to do with it. It's like, should we bury this person?
[00:25:24] Speaker A: I mean, who's gonna take over this business?
They can deal with that.
[00:25:32] Speaker F: Do you think they knew Juni?
Would they be upset?
[00:25:39] Speaker A: I mean, given that the one professor we know Juniper had tried to kidnap her.
I can't imagine she's too attached.
[00:25:48] Speaker F: It's so good that Lou didn't end up going there when we got kidnapped earlier.
[00:25:53] Speaker D: I swear.
[00:25:59] Speaker F: Well, we should at least let people know who this is. Maybe someone else knows more. Maybe Alistair has a file on this already, I hope.
[00:26:09] Speaker A: Fair enough.
[00:26:13] Speaker F: When I think Yuri gets downstairs. So you're gonna call for Grave Wing and just toss them the bag of
[00:26:18] Speaker C: gold
[00:26:23] Speaker D: and because that is 200 gold pieces.
Yeah, I don't catch it. I let it fucking fall. And it may. Maybe it like breaks something on the way down. Because that's 200 gold pieces. Go. What the, bro?
[00:26:40] Speaker F: You're stronger than that. Come on.
[00:26:43] Speaker D: Yeah, I wasn't prepared to catch it.
I'm going to pick it up now though.
[00:26:48] Speaker A: And.
[00:26:50] Speaker D: Yeah, no, that seems like Johnny. Did you guys find drugs?
[00:26:54] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[00:26:55] Speaker F: We should go upstairs. Also, evocation Professor.
Dead
[00:27:04] Speaker D: professor, Like Ravenswood?
[00:27:08] Speaker F: Yeah.
Unbroken traitor, apparently.
[00:27:15] Speaker A: Well, it could have been a spy for Johnny in the Unbroken, who was a traitor to him.
[00:27:22] Speaker F: Double traitor. I see.
[00:27:25] Speaker D: We could try to make that corpse talk.
[00:27:30] Speaker G: Which professor is this?
I say kind of in character, as I'm like
[00:27:41] Speaker F: Evocation Le. Right. Evocation Ravenswood. Previous professor since Wave Sand Lee.
[00:27:52] Speaker C: Right.
[00:27:53] Speaker A: What was the full name?
[00:27:57] Speaker C: It was.
I also forget the name. Lee Caldova.
[00:28:04] Speaker E: Caldova.
[00:28:06] Speaker G: Oh, Professor Lee Kaldova. I go off on a random tangent about them that has no.
No, like, connection to anything.
[00:28:18] Speaker F: Okay, not the file I was expecting, but. All right.
You said you could talk to corpses, is
[00:28:28] Speaker B: how much is left of the corpse.
[00:28:31] Speaker F: I mean, they got a stab wound, I think, but they're so intact,
[00:28:40] Speaker D: as
[00:28:40] Speaker B: long as the throat and head is still attached and it can speak, it should be doable. But I would like to say that corpses can lie, so
[00:28:51] Speaker F: I'll go grab them. Just.
[00:28:54] Speaker B: I think we'll need someone with an excellent sense of insight. I look directly at Leith. Foot hesitation.
[00:29:00] Speaker F: Yuri's crapping the body and bringing it back down.
[00:29:04] Speaker B: This will take a little bit to
[00:29:06] Speaker A: cast, but while Yuri is grabbing the body, Laith will take the unbroken necklace over to Alouette and just ask if there's any magic on it.
[00:29:20] Speaker E: Oh, is there?
I'll wave my little pendulum
[00:29:26] Speaker C: on the unbroken necklace.
Yeah, there's magic on it.
[00:29:37] Speaker E: I'm gonna real fast dig the one out of my pocket my sister gave me and check that one too.
[00:29:43] Speaker C: Yeah, there's also a magic on that one.
[00:29:47] Speaker E: Magic?
Yes.
[00:29:50] Speaker A: Can you tell what it does? Or is that.
[00:29:56] Speaker E: Can I tell what it does? Operate.
[00:30:04] Speaker C: Give me an arcana check.
It won't.
[00:30:08] Speaker E: Can't be occultism.
[00:30:10] Speaker C: Or occultism. Occultism works too.
[00:30:15] Speaker E: Okay, that's gonna be dirty.
[00:30:21] Speaker C: 30.
[00:30:21] Speaker E: As if I could roll a 30. Naturally.
Sorry, I. I corrected the math midway and realized I hadn't carried the one.
[00:30:35] Speaker C: So these are cursed items. Essentially, once you put it on, you can't take it off until you die.
[00:30:45] Speaker E: Oh, I have dodged a bullet.
[00:30:50] Speaker C: And theoretically, someone could force you to tell the truth if you were wearing one and they knew the correct spell.
[00:31:04] Speaker E: Oh, damn.
[00:31:08] Speaker B: We could have really used that on Johnny.
[00:31:11] Speaker E: We don't know.
[00:31:14] Speaker B: No, it could have forced on his corpse and brought it back.
[00:31:19] Speaker G: You can take it off after you die.
[00:31:22] Speaker C: It does. Has. No, it hasn't. You know, nothing else you know.
[00:31:28] Speaker E: Well, I will convey that with increasing anxiety.
[00:31:37] Speaker A: Leith sort of grimaces and moves from holding it just in her hand out to Alouette to I think just gripping it by the chain and we'll say.
Right, well, good to keep in mind for disguises. But it's a good thing I. We didn't put them on.
[00:31:59] Speaker E: You're telling me.
I very nearly was going. I was fully planning on it. So you had the correct idea to Jack.
[00:32:11] Speaker D: Aubrey, my brother wasn't wearing one of those. Because I feel like you would have mentioned it.
[00:32:19] Speaker C: Yeah, he was not wearing one of those.
[00:32:21] Speaker D: Damn. Okay. He was indoctrinated in another way.
Okay, well, that's good to know.
[00:32:34] Speaker E: Tofu is less of an indicator than I thought it was, but good to know.
[00:32:46] Speaker D: We could make fakes if we need them.
As long as, well, I know a guy.
[00:32:54] Speaker E: There would also have to be magic.
[00:32:58] Speaker F: Well, we could probably disguise it with like a simple thing. Right? There's magic too.
In fact, I think I read something where you could disguise something to make it look like a certain aura. Right.
So say you give it make us look cursed.
Easy enough.
[00:33:24] Speaker E: I think that is not my area of expertise.
[00:33:30] Speaker A: But I think the bigger. Well, maybe not the bigger problem, but the other problem, that it's not a great indicator of true believers in the Unbroken. If people can't take them off, it's harder to tell who could or couldn't be turned.
[00:33:50] Speaker E: Right. If it is, can it be put on by force then?
[00:33:56] Speaker D: Oh, it probably absolutely can. Maybe there's a way to turn this off.
You can dispel just.
I look at any magic user ever.
[00:34:09] Speaker E: Dispel.
[00:34:11] Speaker D: Dispel magic, Right?
[00:34:16] Speaker B: Yeah, we're nodding.
[00:34:17] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:34:18] Speaker D: So in theory, we could just, you know, just break it apart.
[00:34:26] Speaker F: A little cruel. But should we put this back on the body before we bring them back?
[00:34:31] Speaker G: So I will.
[00:34:32] Speaker C: I will mention the. The thing for truth is it is a specific thing that another member of the unbroken does.
It's not like putting this on them will make them tell the truth.
[00:34:44] Speaker E: Yeah, we have to know like the command to make it work.
[00:34:50] Speaker F: Do we?
We should probably just bring them back.
Yuri. Yuri has been holding the body, so I'm just going to like set them up on the chair next to the bar, I guess, make sure the body is comfortable.
[00:35:10] Speaker B: All right. Give me like 10 minutes, I guess, and I will start casting 10 minute
[00:35:17] Speaker D: long spell while you do that. Just gonna round up the other bodies, loot them, and maybe bring the rest of the blades that were outside, plus brother and sister, maybe bring them back in and just push it all together.
So that way when we actually do something about those ones, everybody's here.
It's ten Minutes. They're outside.
[00:35:43] Speaker C: Yeah.
So for this you can ask three questions and then I'm going to need a.
Yeah, it'll have to make a will check.
So you eventually finish that 10 minute invocation and the corpse breathes and kind of its eyes flutter open.
You have three questions.
[00:36:17] Speaker B: So I'm looking, I'm looking to the rest of the group most for the questions right now.
Like gesturing like you guys did so much investigation. I got the corpse talking, you guys get the corpse walking.
[00:36:30] Speaker D: Okay, nobody ask anything of ink character yet. Above table. Let's medicate the out of this.
[00:36:35] Speaker E: We are writing things down, we are gesturing, we are not making words.
[00:36:39] Speaker C: Okay, it takes 10 minutes to cast.
[00:36:43] Speaker D: We can talk about this like, like, but like above table before. Yeah, yeah, above table. It's three questions.
Do we give a. About this person. How much shits do we give about this person? Because like one question could go to be like why? Like you know, like why'd you join the unbroken? Or something like that.
[00:37:02] Speaker G: But well, you know, I want to find out how their thesis is going to incorrect.
[00:37:10] Speaker A: What? Why did Johnny think you betrayed them? Or what were you doing for Johnny?
[00:37:14] Speaker E: Oh yeah, exactly.
How did you betray Johnny?
[00:37:19] Speaker D: Wait, what were you doing for Johnny or how did you betrayed it?
[00:37:22] Speaker F: What?
[00:37:22] Speaker D: These are very specific.
[00:37:24] Speaker E: Both, Both
[00:37:29] Speaker A: like what were you doing and why did you betray?
[00:37:32] Speaker G: Maybe I think that's asking why you betrayed assumes that they did betray Johnny.
Like is there a limit to how long their answer can be?
[00:37:44] Speaker B: I don't think so.
[00:37:46] Speaker C: But the corpse also can roll and lie to you. That's the thing.
[00:37:52] Speaker D: Okay, well now I have another question about.
[00:37:56] Speaker E: I will possibly know about it, I think.
[00:38:03] Speaker D: How can we formulate these questions? Can we say what and why were you doing things for Johnny? Or does that count as two questions?
[00:38:11] Speaker C: I would theoretically say that counts as two questions.
[00:38:14] Speaker D: Okay, so what were you doing for Johnny is one. Why did you betray? Is two. Are we comfortable with those?
[00:38:22] Speaker F: We save the third one in case
[00:38:24] Speaker G: they're like we, we could combine those into like what was your relationship with Johnny?
[00:38:33] Speaker F: No, that's too easy. I just say I wasn't employed for them.
[00:38:37] Speaker E: Yeah,
[00:38:41] Speaker C: very specific with your questions.
[00:38:43] Speaker F: Yeah, you know Johnny killed. When we walked in, Johnny just killed them saying that they would try them. Yeah, know they're unbroken.
You know, that's like sickness is deal.
So there's a lot of moving parts.
[00:39:00] Speaker D: Okay, then what did you do to betray Johnny is probably a bet. A more specific question cuz like sure, the answer could be I didn't but Also it's asking us like what did did did you do versus get know what I mean? It's very specific.
[00:39:17] Speaker F: But that's might be better ask that. See if they're lying and save it for follow ups and use the rest for follow ups. I think that's the most important information.
We're not going to get a lot from them. They're dead.
[00:39:33] Speaker A: Yeah, there you go.
[00:39:36] Speaker D: As long as we have because we got to be specific right that that's why.
[00:39:41] Speaker B: Right.
[00:39:43] Speaker D: Or we can be like the DND movie where they kept bringing back the same guy.
[00:39:48] Speaker B: We can't do that. If it's been cast on the person the last week it doesn't work again. So please don't this please don't do the bit.
[00:39:57] Speaker C: So first question. What did you do to betray Johnny?
Right. And I will roll there will say
[00:40:04] Speaker B: AC25 I believe to my knowledge and spellcast. Yeah C25 will
[00:40:11] Speaker G: hopefully corpses don't have goodwill saves.
[00:40:15] Speaker C: Well this person was a magical professor at a magical school.
[00:40:24] Speaker D: They have corpse DC now that is
[00:40:28] Speaker C: also unfortunately a nat 20 bruh.
[00:40:32] Speaker B: So.
[00:40:33] Speaker F: So what do they say when they're
[00:40:34] Speaker B: actually really bad for me.
The target can lie or refuse to answer your questions and the target spirit haunts me at 24 hours.
[00:40:43] Speaker E: Let's go.
[00:40:45] Speaker F: Let's go.
[00:40:46] Speaker B: You can just fuck the ghost and
[00:40:48] Speaker A: get your answers that way.
[00:40:52] Speaker D: No, just change it. Just change their values for a day. Come on.
[00:40:57] Speaker B: So yeah, theoretically if this person wants being asked I have 24 hour rights to harass me which is very funny and sucks.
Thank God someone healed my bleeding because I would be so cooked.
[00:41:10] Speaker C: So they're going to give you a basic answer.
They won't go into detail but they will tell you that they refuse to sell for Johnny anymore.
[00:41:26] Speaker A: Are they telling the truth?
[00:41:28] Speaker D: I got a
[00:41:31] Speaker A: 36.
[00:41:33] Speaker C: 36. Yes, they are telling the truth.
[00:41:39] Speaker G: You know we could always ask. We killed Johnny for you. What do you want it? What's the best thing we can do to mess with his plans even further
[00:41:49] Speaker C: to just like that also assumes she knows what his plans are other than she was selling drugs for him.
[00:41:56] Speaker B: I mean if. If we're assuming that he killed her and we killed that guy, he'd probably. She's probably like kind of willing to. She's not lying to us. To our knowledge.
[00:42:06] Speaker D: We can ask if she's sold to Ravenswood students or staff though because we know where the supply we obviously know
[00:42:13] Speaker F: the for Johnny and we know what
[00:42:16] Speaker G: the drugs are because we found a whole.
[00:42:18] Speaker F: Is anyone else working for Johnny at the Academy. Because we know there's someone at the academy that is helping with the. Up with the automatons.
[00:42:30] Speaker D: Right. I think. I think. I think a who, like who else is working, so that way they have
[00:42:35] Speaker B: to name them is.
[00:42:36] Speaker D: Is probably better.
[00:42:38] Speaker F: Yeah, well, Johnny.
[00:42:44] Speaker B: We can also mention like Johnny's dead corpse. So like, maybe she'll have a reason to talk to us a bit more, you know, as I guess a treat.
[00:42:51] Speaker C: We.
[00:42:52] Speaker G: We have the Johnny on a stick.
[00:42:54] Speaker B: We have our Johnny stick.
[00:42:57] Speaker E: I mean, I suppose Johnny is right there. Can the corpse see?
[00:43:01] Speaker B: Oh my God. He got pegged.
[00:43:04] Speaker E: Wow.
[00:43:05] Speaker G: Wow. That's.
[00:43:07] Speaker C: Anyways, so the question is, who else was working with Johnny at Ravenswood?
[00:43:14] Speaker F: Correct.
[00:43:18] Speaker C: She will tell you that she is unsure of exactly who, but she thinks that the headmaster might be in on it.
[00:43:33] Speaker F: Lie detectors. Are they lying?
[00:43:37] Speaker A: Oh, do we roll every time?
[00:43:39] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:43:40] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, no.
[00:43:43] Speaker E: Guidance.
[00:43:46] Speaker A: Well, I don't think guidance is gonna help as much. That's a 24.
[00:43:51] Speaker C: With guidance, you're relatively sure telling the truth.
[00:43:58] Speaker A: Do we want to ask something about
[00:44:01] Speaker D: how
[00:44:03] Speaker A: she got from the U.N. unbroken to Johnny? Or if there are other unbroken at the Academy? Or do we think she'd be more likely to lie about that?
[00:44:14] Speaker F: Probably, but we should ask anyways.
[00:44:17] Speaker C: Maybe.
[00:44:17] Speaker D: What's the connection with, I don't know, Johnny and the Unbroken? Or the Academy and the Unbroken? Something like that.
[00:44:32] Speaker C: Final answer.
[00:44:35] Speaker D: What is the connection.
[00:44:36] Speaker C: The connection between the Academy and the Unbroken?
[00:44:40] Speaker E: Yeah, because I think the connection with Johnny is just going to be drugs.
[00:44:44] Speaker D: Yeah.
He was there.
[00:44:47] Speaker E: Yeah. So unbroken, stronger.
[00:44:49] Speaker C: But that is.
She will tell you that they want access to young impressional people who feel like they can change the world. Because the thing about Ravenswood is it's a very prestigious school. So kind of bet only the best of the best ever actually go there. Best of the best.
You know, so people are already kind of.
You know, you don't get into this school if you're not trying really hard. So, you know, people like that might be very easily swayed into. Hey, if you do this, you could save the world.
[00:45:35] Speaker A: That checks out to Leith. But 33 for. Is she lying?
[00:45:40] Speaker C: She's not lying, but good luck getting sleep for the next 24 hours, Niall.
[00:45:48] Speaker B: What is this fuck ass ghost going to bother me with? You have to tell me now.
[00:45:52] Speaker D: Tests.
[00:45:52] Speaker C: I'll figure it out.
[00:45:53] Speaker E: Be haunted by lectures and tests and math.
[00:45:56] Speaker B: I get to learn so much about drugs in the next 24 hours. This will be great for cooking.
[00:46:01] Speaker G: Does this mean I get a chance to ask about the thesis yeah, you
[00:46:06] Speaker D: do have all the. You have 24 hours.
[00:46:10] Speaker C: She didn't make the drugs, she just sold them.
[00:46:13] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:46:14] Speaker G: Do you want to have a sleepover?
[00:46:17] Speaker B: I can just imagine Niall head in his hands as the. It's not that the ghost is bugging him. It's that the ghost is like talking to Alistair but is clinging to him. So it's like listening to two people just rambling about a thesis statement and not being able to sleep.
[00:46:31] Speaker D: I fully say whole rest in pissant and I'll get up, pick up, pick up. Well, I. I was. I never dropped the head. I still have the head.
And I'll go to Lorelei and be like, it's your call. With what we do next year, I
[00:46:55] Speaker C: think the ROE certainly needs better people behind it and I don't know if I can do that behind a mask.
[00:47:08] Speaker D: Oh, you're going to dox yourself again.
[00:47:13] Speaker C: Unfortunately, I don't know how willing they would be to trust someone behind a mask.
Unless you have a better idea.
[00:47:24] Speaker A: Have they not been trusting you behind the mask for the past few years?
[00:47:30] Speaker C: I was always the force in the background. I was never in the public eye.
But if somebody doesn't step up and take accountability for the role, especially without a senator, this is the perfect time for them to roll in.
[00:47:47] Speaker D: Is it too risky to pretend that we're still up and running?
[00:47:57] Speaker C: You know, looks at Johnny. Do what? That he's still running things?
[00:48:04] Speaker E: Yeah,
[00:48:07] Speaker C: I mean we could try. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to disguise myself constantly.
[00:48:14] Speaker D: It's a good thing that he didn't show his ugly face constantly.
[00:48:20] Speaker C: Could be an idea.
[00:48:23] Speaker E: Also the only ones who know that the cemeteries dead are us and Bond. Who killed her? Granite. That is the Elias core. But still.
[00:48:35] Speaker D: Yeah, it does mean that they still.
They can still move freely here.
So there's. There's some pros and cons, but we either make a big statement that we beat their ass or we keep up the ruse. Like we've. How we've been doing over in Emerald Court.
Emerald Court? Emerald Grove.
The farm area.
[00:49:08] Speaker C: Yeah.
Can do that. Yeah.
Pretend to be him. Run things from the shadows for now.
Or could make a statement.
Both have their. Their good things.
Because I think if we keep up the.
The ruse and they learn it's not true, they may just try to bulldoze the district.
[00:49:39] Speaker D: Look, I'm down.
[00:49:44] Speaker E: The intention behind maintaining Rovers is to keep them from retaliating.
[00:49:54] Speaker D: Yeah. Learning secrets. If we can, buying us more time.
[00:50:00] Speaker E: We may have other ways of learning secrets. But avoiding retaliation of Course is important.
[00:50:09] Speaker C: And as this is going on, Lorelei sort of just sort of like turning her mask over and over in her hands.
I do think that the people may need someone fighting for them out in the open this time.
[00:50:29] Speaker D: All right, I support it.
How big of a statement do we want to make?
[00:50:37] Speaker C: Pick at the banner.
[00:50:41] Speaker D: How's a controlled fire sound?
[00:50:45] Speaker C: Sounds pretty good.
[00:50:49] Speaker D: Cuz we already got. Okay, so cuz we already got everybody evacuated. If we just light this on fire, all the drugs, none of the money, just totally ransack this place. Light this on fire and put Johnny's head on a pike.
[00:51:04] Speaker B: Wait, if we like Grace for a
[00:51:07] Speaker D: lot of people, okay, we get well, the whole roll will become ours again. So we can redistribute them. This is not the only brothel in town, but this is certainly the only brothel with at least six corpses.
[00:51:26] Speaker B: Grave wing.
[00:51:27] Speaker D: What?
[00:51:29] Speaker B: Some drugs, when you burn them, they get into the smoke and it's inhaled. I learned that the hard way when cooking with something before.
You might not want to burn it.
[00:51:40] Speaker D: I. I know that I was planning to put the drugs in a barrel of water.
[00:51:46] Speaker B: Okay, first, that makes a lot of sense.
[00:51:51] Speaker E: Does.
[00:51:54] Speaker D: I'm Google.
[00:51:54] Speaker B: I can't google it. I googled powder.
[00:51:56] Speaker D: It dissolves and then we can get rid of it. Nobody's drinking the cocaine water.
[00:52:03] Speaker F: Bury it.
Bury it under like dirt or something
[00:52:07] Speaker G: and then burn for yourself.
[00:52:11] Speaker E: Google. Is cocaine dissolvable? Yes.
[00:52:15] Speaker F: As a person who deals with drugs and knows how to dispose of drugs we're covering in dirt, bury it. Burn the building on top of it.
Don't disperse it in the air, don't disperse it in water.
[00:52:26] Speaker E: That's going to evaporate if we are.
[00:52:29] Speaker F: This is not Yuri. This is fucking Dustin.
[00:52:32] Speaker B: Thank you God, Dustin.
[00:52:34] Speaker E: Just breaking open the force wall to just be like a psa.
[00:52:38] Speaker B: PSA on drug at disposal.
[00:52:40] Speaker E: If we are burning the body, then Lou is gonna rifle through any of the rooms just to make sure there's not any personal items of any of the workers.
And get out the personal items. If she can identify them, you can
[00:52:53] Speaker C: say that you can do that.
[00:52:57] Speaker E: Just in case they left a person, something, or if they live here. Some of them, I don't know if they also live on the premises or if they live elsewhere.
[00:53:03] Speaker D: The best way to put it is that if this is and this is Johnny's brothel, they're not maybe here willingly.
[00:53:10] Speaker E: Yeah, and the other reason? To make sure to get whatever personal items they may have.
[00:53:16] Speaker C: He took it over after, you know, after he came back to the district. So he was.
But you know, you can always set up a new one at a later point.
So you do all that. You bury the drugs, you set everything and you set this place a light.
And as you're doing this, you can see that a crowd has gathered.
[00:53:55] Speaker D: Above table. We said we wanted to go very big, right.
But I would like clarification.
How many people do we want to say we took out? Cuz obviously, Johnny, do we want to mention bloodline or should we just be like, no, Emerald of the grove is still normal and cute.
[00:54:13] Speaker F: Let's just do here.
[00:54:14] Speaker D: Just here. Right, Okay. I just want to double check.
[00:54:16] Speaker F: That's the more important part because we know about the people here.
[00:54:20] Speaker D: Okay. Yeah, yeah, I just want to double
[00:54:22] Speaker E: check enough broadband to cover both districts fully yet.
[00:54:28] Speaker D: I don't think so either. I just wanted to double check because I don't want to get like heated and be like, yeah, we got all of them. You know, I don't want to.
[00:54:35] Speaker E: Now if you want to say, yeah, we took care of 20 guys in here in this building, by all means.
[00:54:41] Speaker D: Yeah, that's. Yeah. See like that. That's where I would be. Like more focus here, Focus here.
[00:54:46] Speaker E: See of his goons. You. Yeah. You didn't see it?
[00:54:57] Speaker D: Okay, setup wise, I'm thinking it's us. It's the remainder of the blades.
We got the two other bugs on the side as well. We look like an intimidating collective. We look like anathema, but bigger.
[00:55:13] Speaker F: You want Yuri there as Yuri, because again, that is fully exposed at this point.
[00:55:21] Speaker E: I don't wear a mask on you. Right.
[00:55:24] Speaker F: People know it's. That's meetup.
[00:55:27] Speaker C: The mask was like full offense.
[00:55:31] Speaker D: Yurio is a red tiefling harlot with at least 20 x's and then got
[00:55:38] Speaker F: doxed like as anathema member.
[00:55:42] Speaker C: Yeah, rich people.
[00:55:44] Speaker E: So this may be a different crowd.
[00:55:47] Speaker F: I'm pretty sure there's also like a most wanted list with Yuri's name on it.
[00:55:52] Speaker E: I'm so is anathema if you like collect.
[00:55:55] Speaker D: Yeah, but we're not doxxed.
[00:55:57] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:55:59] Speaker D: So you're a pink tiefling. We can just look to you and be like, oh,
[00:56:04] Speaker F: that's racist.
[00:56:07] Speaker D: Well, in a town where everybody seems to be a similar shade of fucking gray and then you guys chose to be primary colors.
[00:56:17] Speaker F: No, there's a lot of teethlings that are also the same shades. Maybe a lot of them are Valers or Morans. We're not getting into that.
[00:56:22] Speaker B: Who can say?
[00:56:24] Speaker C: It's only you.
[00:56:26] Speaker D: It's only you, nobody else.
[00:56:27] Speaker F: Anyways. Continue, Continue.
[00:56:30] Speaker D: Okay. Whether you want to be here or not, I think is a you thing.
So if Yuri wants to. To like, hide in a barrel, go hide in a barrel.
What was I saying?
[00:56:49] Speaker E: Anathema, Bloody Blades, and the bugs are all standing outside the big fire in front of the crowd.
[00:56:54] Speaker D: Thank you.
And I guess when the crowd, like fully comes together, Graving will just say, johnny Rotten's dead.
We made sure this time. And I throw his head.
Not like I'm not throwing it like a baseball. Like, it's more like I'm rolling it out.
Yeah, just display here.
Yeah, we made sure of it this time.
Whatever. Leftover goons. If you're hiding, show yourself and maybe you'll receive some form of mercy. That is if the people don't get you first.
Consider the row protected by the Anathapa and consider your representative, her. And because Lorelei said she wanted to
[00:57:51] Speaker F: go
[00:57:54] Speaker D: be the face like of this district, so that's what I'm doing. And I just let her talk now if she wants to. Because if she's gonna be a representative, she should also speak, I think.
[00:58:05] Speaker C: Yeah, give me a. We'll just do like an assist. Because you're hyping up Lorelei. Give me like a diplomacy intimidation performance, one of those.
[00:58:16] Speaker D: Could I interest you in a society?
[00:58:19] Speaker C: Sure.
[00:58:21] Speaker F: Good.
[00:58:21] Speaker D: Because I. I was like, I have street wise. It's not gathering information, but maybe.
Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna use a hero point on this one.
[00:58:34] Speaker B: It's gay.
[00:58:35] Speaker D: It's not. It wasn't a bad role, but it wasn't the best roll, you know, like significantly better.
I think that is the right one.
32.
[00:58:52] Speaker C: Yeah. And Lorelai, as she starts talking, she starts talking about how the row has been failed by the system and that all that the people want to do is the want to come in and control it and that she's tired of seeing it. And you can kind of see it within her, within the people as she inspires them to stand up for themselves, stand up for their homes. And then she ends it with a smile and says, don't know about everybody else, but need a drink. And I miss my bar.
[00:59:36] Speaker B: I hand her my water bottle that mechanically heals 16 points of damage.
[00:59:42] Speaker C: Not the kind of drink she was looking for, but, you know, she'll at least.
[00:59:45] Speaker B: No, it's a vodka shot. Canonically. I just have pocket alcohol. It's a mechanic. I give you. I give you a VOD shot.
[00:59:52] Speaker C: Yeah.
And she goes, oh, showing us the crohn. Hammer for a drink.
And she.
[01:00:08] Speaker E: Lou, will start cheering.
[01:00:11] Speaker C: She soccer mom Lou.
[01:00:14] Speaker D: Let's go.
[01:00:16] Speaker F: Go.
[01:00:17] Speaker C: She. She had a pretty good role. So, like, people are into it. And even if they don't know her face, they know of her because she was pretty much the thing. Her and the blades were the thing that was keeping the district safe. Because most people had never seen her actual face before. They'd only ever seen the mask
[01:00:37] Speaker D: before. We all disperse. I'm just gonna grab the head real quick and just. And just.
I really want to make sure this stays dead. So I'm just, like. While the house is, like, lit up, I'm just gonna, like, drop it where I can see it in there and just make sure that it fucking burns, please. Like, just.
And when it's successfully crispy enough, I will leave.
[01:01:07] Speaker C: Do any of you follow the lead towards the crowing hammer?
[01:01:11] Speaker D: Yeah,
[01:01:15] Speaker G: after we make Johnny S'. Mores.
[01:01:17] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:01:21] Speaker D: They're so nasty. Like, it's not.
[01:01:25] Speaker G: I am totally talking up my wizard tower to the ghost that's haunting Nile and, like, trying to make them into.
[01:01:36] Speaker D: This is the romance of the century. You guys can't stay in the way between the great wizard rat and ghost of an evocation wizard.
[01:01:44] Speaker A: Please.
[01:01:45] Speaker F: An evocation wizard that was selling drugs to students.
This is 22 Jump Street.
[01:01:53] Speaker D: Exactly. So would you stop Channing Tatum in a dress from being romanced by a rat?
[01:01:59] Speaker F: Yes.
Anyways, I'm going to the Crow and Hammer.
[01:02:05] Speaker G: On the bright side, I've forgotten about, like, like, the mortal terror Mal put me in earlier. So things could be worse.
[01:02:15] Speaker B: Things could be better.
[01:02:17] Speaker A: Leif is not going to go into the Crone Hammer. She is going to disperse into the crowd here and just sort of keep watch on the building and see if anyone sort of comes or goes or does anything suspicious.
[01:02:28] Speaker E: Okay.
[01:02:30] Speaker B: I need a drink.
[01:02:32] Speaker C: Yeah.
Everyone else, go to enjoy a drink with the people of the Roe and the blades.
[01:02:41] Speaker E: I'll linger with Leith because buddy system,
[01:02:45] Speaker C: it's probably a good idea.
[01:02:46] Speaker E: Gay buddy system in this case, but that's neither here nor there.
[01:02:54] Speaker D: Do you guys got message? Do you guys got a way to cast message?
[01:02:58] Speaker E: I can send a little animal friend.
[01:03:00] Speaker D: Yeah, I was like, we got that now.
[01:03:02] Speaker G: Right?
[01:03:02] Speaker D: So okay, that's. Then. Then that's. That's fine. I. I will. Could. I will also go with the.
The group. I guess I am in full costume. I feel like I have to.
[01:03:18] Speaker F: Hey, Aubrey. Is Oscar at the bar?
[01:03:22] Speaker C: Yeah.
All right.
[01:03:26] Speaker F: I have. I have a scene. I have a question for Oscar, and I may Have a question for Gray Wing in regards to the ominous. You gave me an episode or two ago. I forget how long it's been because it struck fear into my heart.
[01:03:39] Speaker C: It's been a couple, but yeah, no. Oscar is gladly taking his place back behind the bar, doling out drinks to people as the growing hammer is fit to bursting.
[01:03:56] Speaker F: If anyone else wants to do something first, that's fine.
[01:04:04] Speaker A: Oh, people.
[01:04:07] Speaker C: Well, it sounds like nobody else is doing anything first, so go talk to Oscar.
[01:04:11] Speaker B: I want to watch this train wreck.
[01:04:14] Speaker F: Why does it always have to be a train wreck? We're on pretty good turn. Shut up. Okay, so Yuri is going to go to Oscar at the bar and just ask.
[01:04:34] Speaker C: So.
[01:04:34] Speaker F: Hey, Oscar, long shot, have you, you or anyone here seen anything going on in Silver Court?
[01:04:50] Speaker C: He shakes his head as he slides drink across the the bar to you and saying, unfortunately, we've been so trapped underground here that I think most of my info is weeks out of date at this point.
[01:05:07] Speaker F: Okay, anything.
My cover is mostly shot, as you are aware, but is there anything I could do to help around here?
[01:05:19] Speaker C: Can.
Can always use more people working with the blades.
Got a lot of inexperienced people who don't truly know how to fight yet.
Give them some pointers.
[01:05:33] Speaker F: Yeah, I could.
About training the regular fighting.
[01:05:39] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:05:43] Speaker F: Not like any of the stuff that obviously Grave Wing could do, but clearly I could hold myself. So.
[01:05:49] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, you could train them with weapons. Grave Wing could train them with fists and the ones who have Kinesis abilities.
[01:06:01] Speaker F: Yuri is gonna look down at the drink and just mull it over a second and.
Yeah, well, I think there's something I need to go take care of soon, but I'll gladly help out where I can. I definitely owe it to everyone. I owe it to you. I owe it to the blades, so.
[01:06:27] Speaker C: Well, and we.
We appreciate the help.
It's gonna take us a bit to get back to where we were, but we got a victory today and that counts for something.
[01:06:43] Speaker F: And I think Yuri is gonna look at them and earnestly say.
Or, yeah, Ernest, they're. They're trying to come off as earnest as possible and say, I'm glad you did not get too hurt.
And everything that's happened.
[01:07:04] Speaker C: Yeah, me too. It was.
It's been touch and go, but I think things are gonna get better from here.
[01:07:12] Speaker F: Great. Great. Well, also, could you keep an eye on me? I think I'm about to ask Grave Wing something that may get my ass kicked, so we'll see what happens.
[01:07:21] Speaker C: And I certainly can't miss that.
[01:07:25] Speaker F: Could I get Another one of these they're gonna point out to drink.
[01:07:28] Speaker C: Yeah, they'll top you up before you go. Be brave.
[01:07:37] Speaker F: What's graveling doing right now?
[01:07:40] Speaker D: I have decided to celebrate with the locals a little bit, so I am drinking. I'm not drinking to get drunk or anything like that. It's more like I'm at.
I'm at 77 out of whatever my health is. So it's like, you know, I could use something.
My neck hurts, but otherwise, I'm. I think I'm very chill or. Well, as chill as I can be.
[01:08:11] Speaker F: Yeah, I think Yuri would come over with a glass of, like, whiskey or whatever Oscar was serving, and.
Hey, do you have a moment?
[01:08:25] Speaker C: Have a.
[01:08:26] Speaker F: Something real quick to ask.
[01:08:31] Speaker D: Sure.
[01:08:34] Speaker F: And you're just gonna, like, go over to, like, a less crowded table or uncrowded table and just.
[01:08:42] Speaker C: I will.
[01:08:42] Speaker D: I will follow.
[01:08:45] Speaker F: They're going to just, like, stand there with the dragon, look over and say, so. I know you have every right to not give a about this, but one of the last people I actually care about in this city is in danger, and I think I need your help with them.
[01:09:06] Speaker D: I'm gonna need a little bit more information so I know what I'm working with.
[01:09:15] Speaker F: Sorry, I'm. I'm pulling up the last name because I wrote it down somewhere. Okay.
Bertram Devlin.
They are librarian archivists in Silver Court.
[01:09:33] Speaker C: They.
[01:09:36] Speaker F: I sent them a message after everything's happened to make sure they were okay, and they said things are going bad around there, and that's in Silver Court.
[01:09:55] Speaker D: Two things, Aubrey.
[01:09:58] Speaker F: One.
[01:09:59] Speaker D: Does that name strike anything in me at all?
[01:10:08] Speaker C: I mean, they are related to the person, the senator for Silver Court.
Devlin is the. The last name of the surname of the senator for Silver Court Court. So they're related somehow.
[01:10:26] Speaker D: Okay.
2.
Have the midnights reported anything? Because they live in Silver Court
[01:10:36] Speaker E: and
[01:10:36] Speaker D: my kids are in Silver Court.
[01:10:41] Speaker C: It certainly sounds like anything that
[01:10:47] Speaker F: things
[01:10:48] Speaker C: are happening in Silver Court and the Midnights are trying to keep rest of it as much as they can, but also trying to keep rest of it without, like, becoming very obvious that they're keeping an eye on things.
And I believe what Urcham was discussing was.
Had to do with Silver Court's plans for the route.
I remember correctly.
[01:11:11] Speaker F: It was a very short message.
[01:11:12] Speaker C: It was very short.
Been a couple of weeks.
[01:11:15] Speaker F: Yeah.
[01:11:19] Speaker C: But, yeah, it certainly is continuing on the Silver Court. Looking for any reason to essentially get rid of the row. And, yeah, there's some sort of connection with.
And especially someone who is the family of the Senator might know more for sure.
[01:11:41] Speaker D: So, like, related to the senator?
[01:11:44] Speaker F: Yes. Yeah.
Yes, they are related to them.
[01:11:51] Speaker D: You can vouch for their.
I'm trying to make very nice words.
They are not coming to me. You can vouch for their character.
[01:12:05] Speaker F: They would not lie about this.
There was something concerning enough where they couldn't take care of it themselves. They would not lie about it.
[01:12:20] Speaker D: Okay, let's save your friend.
Friend?
[01:12:34] Speaker F: Friend.
[01:12:36] Speaker D: Friend, like Oscar is your friend?
[01:12:40] Speaker F: Yes, but.
Yeah.
Left on better terms, surprisingly. I know
[01:12:53] Speaker D: you, and some you lose some.
I can see if I can get the midnights to help in any way, shape or form, but if something's happening in Silver Court, my priorities may change to them.
I'll put them on the list, though.
[01:13:13] Speaker F: But I. Yeah, I.
I'm asking for your help simply because I want to you to know what's happening as well.
For there.
I want to try setting up a meeting, but me going anywhere in Silver Court is dangerous.
I don't know how well the disguise will hold up.
[01:13:42] Speaker D: Have you tried talking to Lou or Leif? They're the ones that usually set these things up. I mean, I've got some pull.
[01:13:54] Speaker F: I haven't yet.
I. The reason I'm going to use. Cuz I don't want there to be any concern because I know you have family there, and I know anything popping off in court could danger them.
So I want to bring this to you because frankly, I think you are the de facto leader.
[01:14:18] Speaker D: Gravy makes like a face. Makes like a face. Opens her mouth, closes it.
You, like, see her head tilt, like, upward to the sky a little bit, like the seal, like she's thinking, and then she just takes a sip of the whiskey and goes, yeah, no doubt. No, that checks out.
[01:14:38] Speaker F: I mean, you started doing this before any of us went public.
You'll have the people's trust behind you for the most part.
[01:14:51] Speaker D: I also have a lot of enemies, and most of them are in Silver Court.
[01:14:58] Speaker F: Yeah, that's. That's why I wanted to bring it up again.
The Midnights are there, but if they're concerned, it could be doing with anything that's happening. It could involve the row as well.
[01:15:14] Speaker D: No, Very well could.
[01:15:16] Speaker F: Yeah, I just.
I didn't want to go in guns blazing.
[01:15:20] Speaker D: I don't think guns.
Yeah, I agree. I don't think guns blazing is the way to go about this, but if you think.
No, I think you're pretty certain that your friend is in danger.
We're gonna get them out.
[01:15:45] Speaker F: Well, I'll see what lul and Laith are up to they could probably get in and out of the cork easier
[01:15:53] Speaker D: and if they can't I'll make a call.
[01:16:03] Speaker F: Sounds good. Then Yuri is going to.
Down the drink and just put it down and say thank you and is going to go walk off to find the other two. I probably after they're having a gay conversation.
[01:16:23] Speaker D: They're. They're. They're waiting. They're waiting in the. In the house burning for serious things. So it might not be a gay conversation. It might be. It might be a. Oh no guys. Eight ghosts showed up all of them looking for Nile.
[01:16:39] Speaker A: Nile has a ghostly harem.
[01:16:41] Speaker B: I'm kicking the living out of all of you right now. I'll kill you and I'll kill you again.
[01:16:46] Speaker A: It was so that we can draw in your ghost harem.
[01:16:48] Speaker G: Yeah right.
[01:16:49] Speaker B: Oh my God.
[01:16:51] Speaker D: That's crazy. Cloth B reported anyways your greed sickens me
[01:17:00] Speaker C: so Lou and le you do that. You watch and how long do you stay
[01:17:14] Speaker A: I How long would it take for someone from the Lamplighters I guess to be sort of informed and come looking?
[01:17:29] Speaker C: It might be a couple hours.
[01:17:31] Speaker A: Laith will wait a couple hours
[01:17:37] Speaker E: I think while we're just chilling here in the warm glow of a burning brothel Lou will at one point say thar is I mentioned earlier today the this Koreaban connection to Johnny.
I think Thor is a possibility that I could puts myself in a position to gather insider information from the unbroken.
But it would require making nice with my family and lying a lot.
[01:18:30] Speaker A: What kind of of position would you be putting yourself in?
[01:18:36] Speaker E: Well there are lots of options but the one that occurs to me the most due to the repetition of discreabance in everything we run into they seem to be at the heart of most things including the symphony which we know is very bad and I have confirmation that it is in fact perhaps the point of their objectives which is a screwing up situation to begin with
[01:19:15] Speaker A: but
[01:19:15] Speaker E: you would have to promise not to murder anyone and I can't guarantee I can make it work.
But I have it under good authority that there is a score yabin looking for a bride.
And my family is looking to improve our standing and provide loyalty.
[01:19:55] Speaker A: That's why I stabbed my mother in the first place was their search for a bride.
[01:20:02] Speaker E: I know.
That would not be what any intention are following through.
[01:20:15] Speaker A: I'm less if it got to that
[01:20:16] Speaker E: point then I would let you in the margin.
[01:20:21] Speaker A: I'm less worried about the actual marriage and more just having you in with them and with your family.
[01:20:37] Speaker E: I know
[01:20:40] Speaker A: I Spent years doing that and it wasn't.
It was never worth it.
[01:20:49] Speaker B: No.
[01:20:50] Speaker E: But we need information.
We need to know what they are planning.
And we can't trust anyone who is in it to be truly not in it. Especially now that we know about the eclipses.
[01:21:10] Speaker A: You're known by the unbroken to be.
I mean if they don't know about this sort of gesturing at the burning building, they at least know that you're allegedly engaged someone who killed one of their members.
[01:21:29] Speaker E: Pull Mice Unbroken. And she offered me membership.
[01:21:38] Speaker A: Ah. That's how you got there.
[01:21:41] Speaker E: Yes.
I. I think I convinced her that I am simply still the really nonsense headed little sister who just wants to make everyone happy.
I asked for a spot in the symphony.
She said possibly.
Now knowing what the necklace does, I don't know if her giving it to me is as good of a sign as I thought it was. But it was just one tea.
It is something I can work on.
It is a way in if we want to take it.
And we still have.
My uncle is still in our grasp and is in danger.
And having the way in is a way to get him out.
But I would not do it if you said not to do it.
[01:22:49] Speaker A: I don't know that you should be relying on my judgment for this, Lou. It doesn't feel worth it compared to any risk to you. But you must know by now that I'm biased.
[01:23:13] Speaker E: And it feels only alright that whatever we do going forward is done together.
In agreement.
[01:23:26] Speaker A: I.
I do want to ruin them. Not just because of all of this, but because there's still some petty part of my brain that thinks everything here has been their fault.
[01:23:55] Speaker E: I don't know that you're wrong.
They have their hands in every pie.
[01:24:02] Speaker A: I think there are forces greater at work than just that family.
[01:24:12] Speaker E: Perhaps.
[01:24:18] Speaker A: It is maybe the best chance we have.
And we should talk to everyone else. I know Alistair got captured there, but maybe he has some better plan.
[01:24:36] Speaker E: Alistar was, I think sneaking around.
This is just lying to their faces.
[01:24:43] Speaker A: You don't think they'd want Nile as a bride.
[01:24:47] Speaker E: But Nile does look very good in a dress. It's true they would look spectacular in a wedding dress, to be fair.
But Niall does not have the family connections, unfortunately.
And that matters a lot more to Oscar Yabin.
[01:25:13] Speaker A: And I imagine I've rather tarnished my family reputation here.
[01:25:19] Speaker E: Yeah.
Which I mean, good for you.
I am super hopeful to follow your path of energy.
But at the moment it is more useful to keep being what they always thought of me. But perhaps slightly more useful now,
[01:25:50] Speaker A: You're not wrong.
I don't like it.
But I trust that you've thought thought it through.
[01:26:08] Speaker E: I have thought of little else.
I don't know if it is a good plan. I don't know if I can make it work. But I have to do something. And it is my family.
And I.
They cannot be allowed to continue like this.
I don't know what I'm going to do about them in the long run, but for now, they have at least earned being used a little bit.
[01:26:54] Speaker A: Alright, you have to meet now. All you need to do is convince Yordo.
[01:27:03] Speaker E: That's the easy one.
[01:27:06] Speaker A: I wouldn't be so sure about that.
[01:27:12] Speaker E: If I could get Yuri to let me go along on little hunting trips, I can get them to agree to this.
[01:27:22] Speaker A: Yes, well, that hunting trip ended with you both in prison, so I don't know if they're in the mood to say yes anymore.
[01:27:31] Speaker E: But consider we found our great great grandpa. Other I have two Fae that are vying for my attention.
[01:27:41] Speaker A: A too Fae I don't tell you about. Oh, we found.
[01:27:45] Speaker E: We found the other one.
I dare not speak his name lest she be listening, but you know who I'm talking about.
[01:27:55] Speaker A: Yeah, I think Leith nods and they sort of devolve off into ch. Chatter.
Inexplicit chatter about the fae courts.
[01:28:04] Speaker E: Yeah.
Very carefully making sure there's no reflections around at the time.
[01:28:11] Speaker C: Yeah.
So, yeah, you slowly make your way back to join everybody at the Crow and Hammer. And that's where we'll end things for now and come back with you all wrapping up the week and starting the next one and figuring out out what you're going to work on next
[01:28:30] Speaker G: and answering the important questions like, did Nile ever get talked into the sleepover?
[01:28:38] Speaker C: It's true.
[01:28:40] Speaker B: I'll roll for it right now.
[01:28:41] Speaker F: Hold on.
[01:28:43] Speaker B: Let's roll for this. In the chat. It can't leave the viewers on that much of a cliffhanger. You know, that's just sociopath.
Let's see if it's higher than. The higher the number, the more likely it was. Okay, okay, that's an 18. The answer is definitely just because they did not want to have to talk to the ghost the whole time. This ghost would not stop talking about their unfinished thesis they'll never be able to finish because they got killed. Alastair comes in with like a chair and they're both sitting there bickering. And Niall's just like, at least I'm drunk enough to not have to think about this.
[01:29:21] Speaker G: My life is complete.
[01:29:22] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[01:29:24] Speaker C: Anyways, take us out.
[01:29:26] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:29:26] Speaker B: Thank you everyone, for listening to the wonderful episode of Goblins and Gays. If you like what we do here, feel free to follow us on Blue sky, on Instagram, on Patreon. If you can support us like that. Please, if possible, give us some various reviews and say hi on Discord at some point. It's always fun to see new fans popping in and popping out as I banned them for pinning me at 3am Remember, everyone, stay safe and lure your friends to a karaoke bar at exactly 9pm at night, offering some chicken fingers and french fries in order to l them into a soft sense of security on their birthday, only to get them to sing golden and then consume them at the end of it.
Anyways, how can I do that
[01:30:07] Speaker C: concerningly? Specifically,
[01:30:11] Speaker B: birthday party on Saturday.
[01:30:12] Speaker D: That's why it's exactly what happened to
[01:30:15] Speaker F: be gonna be Golden.
[01:30:16] Speaker E: Oh,
[01:30:19] Speaker D: okay.
Aubrey, thank God. That was a complete accent. I was like, please don't make me overthink this.
[01:30:25] Speaker C: No, this is a complete accident that those names are very similar. I just have to come up with so many names and sometimes they end up being very similar.
[01:30:32] Speaker D: Yeah, no, no, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine. We can just say they're from the same country and it's like, you know, like adding at the end of everybody's surname.
[01:31:00] Speaker B: Face it again.
Holy.
