[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam. Waking up asleep I've been dreaming Dr. Long I cannot find meaning. Hold my hand Let me stay by your side through this never ending night. I can feel it now it holds me all the these demons around me in this red light because me he is reaching out, consuming. [00:01:32] Speaker B: Welcome back to Goblins of Gays. I'm Aubrey, your gm. I'll tell server my players to introduce themselves, who they are, who they're playing, and then we'll go rolling into things. [00:01:40] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Aki and I play the vigilante graveling, who is a Nagaji self monk and kineticist. We both use she her pronouns. Hello, I am Faris, she her and [00:01:54] Speaker A: I play Alouette Valer. Also she her, a bardic thaumaturge beast kin doing her best while juggling a family curse, falling in love, and of course, the end of the world. [00:02:06] Speaker D: Hello, I'm Dusty. I use they he pronouns and I'm playing Eu, formerly Moran, still a problem, just angrier now. They are a blood hunter nephilim problem, just. Just trying to fix things, even though it's all bad. They also use they he pronouns. [00:02:31] Speaker E: Hello, I'm Sparlock and I play Alistair Whiskerfield, the great rat detective, arcane archer and wizard extraordinaire, the revolutionary firebrand, sworn enemy to the Scriabins and scourge of the bourgeoisie and master of Nicodemus Tower. We both use he him pronouns. [00:02:54] Speaker F: Hi, I'm Tick. I use he, she, they pronouns. And today I'll be playing Niall, who uses he they pronouns. He cooks, he cleans, he eats people, and has an alien parasite living in his spine, slowly consuming him. What more could you ask for? [00:03:07] Speaker G: Hi, I'm Alyssa. My pronouns are they, them, and I play Laithrese, the fourth Dampier, dandy, rogue, failed matricide with a negative one constitution modifier. Leith uses she any pronouns. [00:03:22] Speaker B: So what happened last time? [00:03:25] Speaker A: We won. Yay. [00:03:27] Speaker F: Throws confetti in the air, the Twilight watch came in to clean up the rest of the mess, and the wonderful headmaster got chewed the fuck out by graveling because quite frankly, it's like I haven't. I haven't been mentally sane. She's like, have you considered not being a little bitch boy instead of cleaning up after your actions? And he's like, yes, ma'. [00:03:45] Speaker D: Am. [00:03:45] Speaker F: And I think I'm kind of convinced Graveling's harem is going to keep growing. But that's also just the. The graveling enjoyer in me. You know, you bully a man, he falls for you. It's kind of how it is. Anyways. This is a joke. Please don't take me seriously. But we regrouped, we recovered. The Twilight Watch is tentatively our allies. For now is sort of, you know, we're on thin ice considering our entire group is freaks and little monsters. In a good way. I love us and. But yeah, that is what is happenings. We got some fun little prep to do and some fun little jails to break. [00:04:20] Speaker B: Yeah. Speaking of prep and all of that. Today is the 25th of W file is the last full week of the month. And we find ourselves back in the very familiar war room, for lack of a better term. The map of Malach laid out on the city you now have taken to of the High. The High priest blades off of the table and early this morning you would have gotten a message from Sable of the Scarlet Bond saying they can do. They are going to do the attack on Cold Iron at the end of this week. So you have essentially five days to prepare and plan and get anything done you need to and figure out exactly what your plan is for that. [00:05:20] Speaker F: Well, first things first. Do we need healing potions? We're kind of short. [00:05:26] Speaker B: I mean you're. You can work on that. Sure, if you want. But first it's. Let's figure out. It's Rebellion action time. [00:05:34] Speaker A: Ah yes. [00:05:35] Speaker F: Rebellion action specifically. [00:05:37] Speaker A: So [00:05:39] Speaker G: did we Cold Iron Prep last time or was that just school prep? [00:05:47] Speaker B: That was school prep because the last time you did Rebellion actions was before the. The heist. [00:05:57] Speaker A: It should be on the list. What Everything we did last time we [00:06:04] Speaker C: got the escape route done. [00:06:06] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:06:07] Speaker C: Specifically for the prison break. And then everything else was I believe Ravenswood. Yeah, [00:06:18] Speaker B: yeah, I believe so. And the escape route is probably the same way that you you got it got out last time. The hidden smuggler's tunnels because they actually stretch underneath the city so you don't even have to cross the bridge with them. [00:06:42] Speaker C: Yeah, is. Is just now we have more. We. We have more targets that we would like to also bust. And I believe they're in a similar location as. As Yuri's X. Right. [00:06:58] Speaker D: Yeah. They're supposed to be the same very basically. [00:07:04] Speaker B: What's it called like maximum like solitary confinement area. [00:07:09] Speaker D: Solitary confinement? Yeah, yeah, yeah. The very haunted area. [00:07:14] Speaker C: All I'm going to say is I feel bad for this. Okay. I don't know much about this ex. Besides the fact that Yuri likes them a little bit more and they're a minotaur and I think also a librarian and I'm just like can you imagine they were just like, a regular fucking guy. Because that's how I'm picturing them, minus the. The affluency of being rich. But, like. And then we're like, let's just take this guy and put him in solitary confinement. And he's been there. Or sorry. And they've been there for what, like, how many weeks are we gonna get them? [00:07:51] Speaker F: Okay, [00:07:53] Speaker D: They've been solitary confinement. They're a regular guy. [00:07:57] Speaker C: I was gonna say, are they gonna be okay? Like, I mean, even putting. Even putting anybody in solitary confinement will just mean, like, are we gonna get them and they're just straight up mooing. [00:08:10] Speaker D: Okay, that's racist. [00:08:11] Speaker C: I think, like, it's. No, it's not. They're not real anyways. [00:08:15] Speaker A: It's like. [00:08:16] Speaker C: No, what I mean, like, is, like, how. How far back are they gonna revert here? I got. I have questions. I got so many questions. [00:08:24] Speaker D: They're probably. You probably think they're a normal guy, but I don't know. No one's talked to them about it without being like, ooh, Yuri. [00:08:35] Speaker C: Anyways, you're right. There's no way they could have been normal if they were dating. Yuri. I swear to God. We did one more thing. [00:08:50] Speaker B: You got some information from the chorus last time. [00:08:55] Speaker C: Was that. Was that a. Was that a rebellion action? [00:08:58] Speaker B: That was not a rebellion action. [00:09:00] Speaker C: I'm talking about rebellion action. Yeah. Okay. I guess it really was just that securing an exit and then everything else we did. We kind of. We did it outside of rebellion time, so we really could just do anything at this point. I don't think we need information. Any more information. I'm saying it out loud. No. Maybe we could use more information. [00:09:26] Speaker D: I mean, I think the chorus specifically didn't give us exactly who these people were, but they. We just know that they are or. No, they're people. The other Hunter organizations. Right. [00:09:38] Speaker B: The leader of one of the other Hunter organizations. [00:09:41] Speaker D: Okay. [00:09:42] Speaker C: Grevin knows one of them through. Yeah. Yeah. So we read other names. Ah, thank you. Thank you. Okay, so we have. We have that, and we have a lot of shit that is out of. Out of rebellion action. So I really think we can just kind of do anything for this. We have our distraction. We have our escape route. Do we got costumes? I know we said we wanted to utilize the. The. The. The Scarlet breaking in specifically them and not tying it to anathema. So do we want to attempt to dress like them, too? [00:10:43] Speaker G: I mean, they're a secret cult. I assume they're not wearing a uniform. [00:10:51] Speaker D: It's probably A safe bet. You probably just want to get. Probably just want to get something that is either plains clothes, or if we want to get something that specifically marks it as it being the cult, like, we could like, I don't know, purposefully leave something that ties it back to them and not anathema, while also just like being in plains clothes are going in whatever they are going as. [00:11:24] Speaker C: That would be supplies. That would be a supply action. Okay, What's our threat at 43? We want to attempt to reduce that. [00:11:45] Speaker A: Good. [00:11:45] Speaker D: Try. [00:11:51] Speaker C: Get one more action. [00:11:54] Speaker G: I mean, recruiting maybe. [00:11:57] Speaker B: Recruiting is always good. [00:11:59] Speaker F: We do need more guys. We need an army. [00:12:03] Speaker C: We currently have 160 because of how we got like a hundreds from the pirate babies. I remember that much. Then everybody else was chill. So we're like real close to 200, y'. [00:12:19] Speaker B: All. [00:12:21] Speaker F: Do we want to work on our. On our threat to hold? I mean, we've technically already been audited, but we don't know that, so. [00:12:28] Speaker G: I was gonna say I don't know that. Well, we know that they're after us. I don't know that it's worthwhile to reduce our threat, honestly. [00:12:35] Speaker F: Yeah, that's fair. [00:12:36] Speaker E: It's. [00:12:37] Speaker B: You've not hit a threshold of more things happening yet. So [00:12:43] Speaker C: then what would our third. If we're not reducing threat, what else are we doing? [00:12:50] Speaker G: Double recruit. [00:12:55] Speaker C: Yeah, we can double recruit. [00:12:57] Speaker B: Maybe I'll recruit some new lieutenants or something. [00:13:04] Speaker G: I was gonna say we have space for more lieutenants, right? [00:13:07] Speaker B: Yeah, [00:13:09] Speaker C: technically, we got. I gotta update this one. We. We. I don't think we got lieutenants. I know we got another squad. We have the kinetic squad. Yeah. Okay. I'll put that one there. [00:13:22] Speaker B: Who would like to do what for anybody who wants to know is the DC for this is 27? Which one is this for? Any of the. The rolls you're making, it's going to be 27. [00:13:36] Speaker F: I don't know. [00:13:37] Speaker B: Who wants to do what? [00:13:38] Speaker G: Yeah, I have not rolled in a second so I could do a recruiting hell. [00:13:42] Speaker A: Yeah, I think I haven't in a while either. So I can do the other recruiting hell. [00:13:48] Speaker G: Yeah. I will do a deception recruitment and [00:13:53] Speaker A: I'm gonna do Society. [00:13:58] Speaker G: A I didn't crit. That's a 28. My deception is plus 22. [00:14:09] Speaker A: Your deception? Are you a master deception? [00:14:11] Speaker G: Yeah, I am. And I am using my ABPS for it. [00:14:15] Speaker A: Let me double check that. I'm actually using my correct thing. I just assumed it was society, but I don't actually know. Nope, it's not. It's Diplomacy or deception? I'm glad I checked. Let's see here. [00:14:28] Speaker F: Yeah, I was gonna say I'm the [00:14:29] Speaker C: one with the society. [00:14:31] Speaker A: I. I know. I'm also like. I'm like the highbrow recruiter. So I'm like, society makes sense, but it is incorrect, unfortunately, that's not. [00:14:41] Speaker F: Wait, hang on. [00:14:43] Speaker A: Let's do correctness. Still not a good role, though, overall. So that's just gonna be a 22. [00:14:54] Speaker C: That's a fail. [00:14:55] Speaker B: That is a failure. Don't want to spend a hero point or anything. [00:14:59] Speaker A: I don't think it's worth spending. [00:15:02] Speaker B: No. [00:15:02] Speaker A: Is it? I mean, the consequences for not recruiting something is they don't join us. [00:15:09] Speaker C: No. You lose 1d6 followers and your threat increases by 1d6. [00:15:14] Speaker A: Oh, damn it. Okay. I don't think it'll matter, but sure. [00:15:21] Speaker B: What the hell. [00:15:22] Speaker A: Yeah, it was worse. So cool. [00:15:26] Speaker B: Is it worse enough to be a critical failure? [00:15:29] Speaker A: I don't know. I rolled a natural three. So reduce what I just had by three, and you'll have your answer. What is that going to be, like 19? [00:15:36] Speaker B: That's not a critical failure. [00:15:39] Speaker C: Okay, so let's roll how many followers we gained, and so that way we can then roll how many we lost when they took. When they took one look at the place and went. Never mind. [00:15:51] Speaker G: I am wondering, actually, maybe I should use a hero point, because we only get lieutenants on a crit, and it should be easy for me to get a crit with a plus 22. So I will use my hero point. Oh, okay. Yeah. That is a. Oh, no, it's still not. That's 36. [00:16:12] Speaker C: Oof. [00:16:13] Speaker B: 36. You can also use your squads. Remember, your squads give you bonuses. [00:16:21] Speaker C: Do we have any bonuses in our squads for this? I don't know. [00:16:24] Speaker G: For this. [00:16:24] Speaker A: All of our bonuses are not for deception or anything. [00:16:28] Speaker F: Exactly. [00:16:29] Speaker C: Nothing for. Yeah, nothing. We don't have anybody for these, and. [00:16:32] Speaker B: Okay. You will gain people and you will lose people. [00:16:36] Speaker G: We gain six. It'll be really funny if we also lose six. [00:16:40] Speaker A: I'm sure I can arrange that. Three lost. Threat goes up by six. [00:16:50] Speaker B: I am. Then the last is to gather supplies, I believe. [00:16:56] Speaker F: Yeah, says me, isn't it? [00:16:59] Speaker B: Is it whoever would like to roll? If you would like to roll, then sure. [00:17:06] Speaker F: Which check is this again? [00:17:07] Speaker A: Might be. [00:17:08] Speaker F: I know I have. I'm the culinary guy. [00:17:11] Speaker B: You're the quartermaster. [00:17:15] Speaker C: It just depends on who's doing the roll. Are you going to roll to get their thing tick? That's the only thing that matters right now. [00:17:24] Speaker F: What stat is gathering Supplies. [00:17:27] Speaker C: It does not matter. [00:17:29] Speaker B: It's based on your roll. [00:17:31] Speaker C: Yes. It's who is doing it. And then you will have two to pick from. [00:17:39] Speaker E: Okay. [00:17:40] Speaker C: If you're rolling, then you can use crafting or survival. [00:17:44] Speaker F: I would love to use crafting specifically. My survival is like, what is my survival? My Survival is a 10. Oh, my God. I'm. Wait. I'm still stupefied, too. Hold on. Is that gone by now or no, [00:18:03] Speaker B: it will be gone by now. [00:18:05] Speaker F: Okay. Thank God you say please. Yippee. Yes, I would like to go with crafting, please. I'd like to gather some. Some ingredients. Dare I say that is a 35 for gathering some ingredients. [00:18:23] Speaker B: Not critical, but you're able to. Especially the. This is the important part. You're able to secure masks of the scarlet bond. There are these sort of red half masks that have this sort of gold embellishment in them that sort of looks like veins. They sort of COVID the top half of your face. [00:18:49] Speaker F: Aubrey, can we say that I bartered with the power of cookies or food or something? It's like, hey, I got masks for us to wear of the scarlet blonde. They really just wanted a bunch of homemade goods. It was really nice. [00:19:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:19:03] Speaker F: They really like my bread. [00:19:07] Speaker B: That is all three of your actions. You have everything and you have five days to get anything you need done. [00:19:17] Speaker D: Also, [00:19:20] Speaker B: you get a letter from your sister asking if you would like to meet. She says that she'll be at the burnished Tankard Tavern in the Ravenswood district. [00:19:33] Speaker G: Which sister? [00:19:36] Speaker B: It was Peregrine. That's the one you wanted to meet, right? [00:19:41] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. The one who's associated with the chorus, not the one who's definitely unbroken. Yeah. I will respond that I would very much like to meet. [00:19:58] Speaker B: Well, we'll start with you then. As you do, you head there. Does anyone accompany you as you head to there? [00:20:08] Speaker A: I would invite Vittorio, but would not stop anybody else from coming. As long as they do it chill. [00:20:17] Speaker B: Vittorio would come. [00:20:20] Speaker A: Ooh. [00:20:21] Speaker G: Is the whole family going? Are you going too, Lou here, You [00:20:25] Speaker C: know, go have a family outing. [00:20:29] Speaker G: Yeah. What's your relationship to this cousin? Maybe you shouldn't go. [00:20:34] Speaker D: I feel like my relationship to anyone in Lou's family that isn't Lou is strained and. Or nothing. [00:20:47] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:20:47] Speaker D: We might as well. Yeah. Yuri will go as well. [00:20:51] Speaker C: Okay. [00:20:54] Speaker A: I'm going to make sure that I have an unbroken necklace. Two of them actually, of the non enchanted variety. Because we have a couple of those. Just the ones that look right but don't actually do the whole thing. And Yeah. I will ask the rest of the group to, like, be incognito. [00:21:27] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:21:27] Speaker A: But on standby, just in case this goes terribly. But it shouldn't. But if it does. You know what I mean? And that if she's already in there, I think this Alouette's gonna walk in, like, abruptly distraught. And then as soon as she sees, Peregrine will just, like, throw herself on her and be like, oh, Peregrine, Thanks, Ostharma for you are here. I learned something terrible, and I don't know what to do or who to trust. Is this. [00:22:01] Speaker B: This is an act, right? [00:22:04] Speaker A: What do you mean? [00:22:05] Speaker B: No, no, this is not me at a table. [00:22:07] Speaker A: The gm. Yes, sorry. The GM gets to know this. Yes. [00:22:11] Speaker B: That's why I said it without the exit. [00:22:12] Speaker A: My headphones have been stolen from me. One second. Okay, I can hear again. Okay. [00:22:21] Speaker B: Give me a deception check. [00:22:23] Speaker F: Sure. [00:22:24] Speaker A: Hey, [00:22:28] Speaker D: you just destroyed. [00:22:30] Speaker A: I don't think she told them. [00:22:33] Speaker D: Okay. [00:22:34] Speaker A: I think she would have at least told the Victorio. Maybe if Yuri was in the room that, like, hey, I'm gonna go do something potentially dangerous. You want to come? This is why I didn't want to use my hero point. That's gonna be grody is what that's gonna be. Let's see here. It is worse than both roles I did. It's actually directly in between the two. Hold on. It's directly in between the two. So that is gonna be a truly killer 22. [00:23:07] Speaker B: Okay. You do that. You throw yourself around your sister, and your sister kind of pats you on the back and say, is everything all right? What appears to be the matter? Please sit. I will get you a drink. Kind of waves to the bartender. [00:23:30] Speaker A: Will sit down and just be. Honestly, I feel like at this point in Lou's life, she can cry pretty easily because all she has to do is just think about, like, five things going on in her life is like, oh, you know what? We are sad about that. Cool. And she's gonna say, I just don't know what to do anymore. Everything is so terrible. You would not believe the things that I have learned in the last few weeks. [00:24:04] Speaker B: I mean, just the mate. And did you want Vittorio to come in with you or hang back until a later time? [00:24:15] Speaker A: I think he can come in as long as he's, like, in disguise. [00:24:19] Speaker B: Yeah, he's in disguise. He would take a seat at the bar. It's about 20ft away from you. He'll order a drink and just sort of be there for backup if you need it. [00:24:32] Speaker A: I'm gonna When I was hugging my sister, I would give him, like, a thumbs up, like, we're good. Don't worry, man. [00:24:42] Speaker B: Help. Sit at the bar until you're ready to leave. And so sat down and just saying, please, you can talk to me if there's anything you need to talk about. [00:24:58] Speaker A: I don't know that I can. I don't know if I can trust anymore. I don't even know if I can trust Yuri. Aware that Yuri is sitting like 10ft away. [00:25:09] Speaker D: Yuri, like, disguises someone. And it's just like, I think probably walked up to a nearby table, even if someone was there. Like, someone where someone was alone. And it's just like attempting to pretend to chat them up. Definitely hears that, but, like, rolls their eyes and it has to explain to the person I'm talking to, not at you. Sorry, I just thought about something dumb. [00:25:31] Speaker B: Yeah, you're probably in the student disguise. If so, it's easy because half the people in here are students. [00:25:37] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, easy. Yeah, yeah, you like chemistry, but a [00:25:43] Speaker A: pickup line, that's bad. Yeah, We will say, oh, for Yuri, [00:25:55] Speaker F: you like chemistry, because I think we [00:25:56] Speaker D: have some okay jokes on you. That's a 29. [00:26:03] Speaker B: Yeah, just this person is tired or doesn't get a lot of people flirting with them. One of the two. And yeah, they seem to be into it. [00:26:13] Speaker D: Okay. All right. You're just gonna be paying attention and just, like, letting them talk about themselves. [00:26:20] Speaker B: Also, Lou, if you want to make any kind of perception checks about your sister. [00:26:27] Speaker A: Actually, yes. I feel like I've done this check before, but it's been forever. So there's no, like, obvious unbroken emblems hidden on her person, Right? [00:26:40] Speaker B: Not that you can see. Perry strikes me as the person that likes to wear very low cut shirts. [00:26:47] Speaker A: Yeah, that feels right. [00:26:49] Speaker B: So she's wearing necklaces. None of them happen to be a gold loop. [00:26:54] Speaker G: Okay. [00:26:57] Speaker A: Yeah. I think we will say, I really want to trust you. I surely do. But what if you are also? Oh, I have. I have learned such really terrible things about the family. And it would be too terrible if you are not trustworthy. [00:27:21] Speaker B: You learned father and Paloma's secret, did you? [00:27:29] Speaker A: I don't know. I don't know what you mean. [00:27:36] Speaker B: The necklaces they wear. You've seen them, right? [00:27:44] Speaker A: Who's gonna put one on the table? [00:27:47] Speaker B: This? That one. [00:27:51] Speaker A: What? What is so terrible? [00:28:01] Speaker B: I have a feeling that you know exactly what is terrible about them. [00:28:07] Speaker A: Can I insight check her? [00:28:09] Speaker B: Yeah, give me a perception check, [00:28:14] Speaker A: buddy. You gotta lock it in. We can't do this all night. Okay, I. I can't put up with this. You gotta lock in. Thankfully for you, I have really good perception. Because what is this actually? Because that's still only 29. Get it together. I rolled a nine. I have a really good perception. [00:28:42] Speaker B: Yeah. So Peregrine knows exactly what this is. She's aware that this is a symbol of the unbroken. But you get a feeling that she knows more about you than she is letting on. [00:29:06] Speaker A: I think with her being surprisingly upfront about this, Lou is going to abandon her initial plan for sussing out her sister's allegiance and it's going to take a bit more of a leap of faith and will just completely drop the [00:29:24] Speaker B: crying [00:29:27] Speaker A: and say, so what is your opinion on the whole unbroken situation? [00:29:37] Speaker B: As after you say that, a couple moments later, both of you have hot toddies set in front of you because it's nice and cold outside and your sister will grab hers, take a like a long sip before putting it down and say there are cancer on this city and they will destroy it if given the chance. [00:30:03] Speaker A: Well, that is your relief to hear and makes it a whole lot easier. Or I was about to give you some sort of weird loyalty test. I do have the terrible news. I just didn't know if you were going to be worth telling it to, you know. [00:30:21] Speaker B: Yes, I managed not to go down that path. The chorus found me early enough and I should promise and being really good at sneaking out of the house. [00:30:35] Speaker C: Oh [00:30:37] Speaker A: for my time. Do you want the bad news? Which bad news do you want actually? Because I have a collection of it. You know about Papa and Paloma. So that is one that I don't have to share. It is. Do you know. Is it just how many of us is it. [00:31:02] Speaker B: As far as I know, it's just those two. I haven't talked to our other siblings in a while. [00:31:12] Speaker A: That is good. Narrows down the problems to solve. I would say it is also pretty. Pretty sure that our aunt is also. Her name is escaping me. Hortensia. [00:31:33] Speaker B: That one. I didn't know she was a part of it before. She even married it into her family. [00:31:43] Speaker A: That sounds right. According to the things that Yori has told me and that we have learned since. So I do have good news which is that our mother found her. Oh, she's alive. She is a bird, but she's alive. [00:32:10] Speaker B: Do you know stories about the giant bird that kidnapping somebody in Silver Court make a lot more sense now? [00:32:15] Speaker A: That was me. [00:32:18] Speaker B: And it makes even more sense. [00:32:20] Speaker A: Yeah, that was her mother decided to make her presence known. But you Know what? It was actually good, because up until that point, I was under the belief I had killed her, so. So really kind of a relief. She also, super, had an affair on Papa. That's part of the bad news. Worse. I don't know if you've heard of the Talis, the former Talis Lord, the [00:32:44] Speaker B: one who kidnapped the student at Ravenswood. [00:32:47] Speaker A: Yeah, Mama. Bad taste. The worst taste, actually. He's dead now. I did also kill him, but he came back from that. Okay. It was the second time he did not survive, and that was nothing to do with me. And also the worst, the terrible part is that Papa is the one who kind of turned Mama into a bird permanently. Out of, I don't know, jealousy or something. Because he is questionable. I don't know. [00:33:27] Speaker B: He is insecure. [00:33:35] Speaker A: Yeah, that sounds all right. [00:33:41] Speaker B: Well, I wish that some of this news was a surprise, but I didn't know about Mamo's affair, but I had thought that something was going on. She seemed happier in those last few weeks. Wouldn't tell me why, though. [00:34:17] Speaker A: I suppose that wasn't. [00:34:20] Speaker B: I suppose so. [00:34:25] Speaker A: There is one more thing. But you have to swear to me that you will not tell anyone [00:34:37] Speaker B: this one. Secrets are very important. [00:34:46] Speaker G: Yes. [00:34:49] Speaker A: I'm gonna gesture at Vittorio to come over. [00:34:55] Speaker B: Yeah. He'll, with his drink in hand, come and sort of pull out the seat next to you and sit down. And he looks at you and saying, do you need me to drop the disguise? [00:35:11] Speaker A: If you would like to, [00:35:15] Speaker B: he'll nod. And after a moment, you sort of see the ripple around him. And you see Vittorio sitting there and your sister kind of squints and looks at him and looks at you. Lancing. Did you find, like a long lost cousin or something? [00:35:33] Speaker A: I did better. I found a great grandmother. This is Vittorio. You know, the one who caused the curse. [00:35:45] Speaker B: Looks at you, looks to Victoria. She rolled a one on her perception check to recognize him. That's why she was like long lost cousin. [00:35:55] Speaker A: You know what? I'm glad we're both rolling bad tonight. [00:35:58] Speaker B: Yeah, it looks she knew. And it's just now I know why the chorus was so happy the other day. [00:36:11] Speaker G: Yes. [00:36:15] Speaker B: Eating this up in a vault. [00:36:18] Speaker A: Our vault. We have a vault. It's in the Sunken district. So, like, obviously we would not have been there in a while, but. But he's kind of been in there basically since his alleged death. It is Elias Gore's fault. So, you know, if you had not been cool, I was so ready to spin you a story about how Elias Gore is going to destroy Our family and try to sell discord. But it is unnecessary. We can do it as friends. [00:36:42] Speaker B: You certainly look very spry for someone your age. Vittorio is just like I age very gracefully. [00:36:52] Speaker A: I tell you. Grandma does not have the same genes. Victoria. I know I kind of already told you, but if formal interactions of course are important. Great Grandpa, this is power Green. She is Eloquence second oldest and I am at the power button. There's quite a lot of us actually. But I don't know if you'll ever be meeting Paloma because she is kind of not cool anymore. But I don't know about the other ones yet. We may or may not be meeting them. We might be turning them into birds. I don't know. [00:37:30] Speaker B: It's certainly good to meet you. It's good to see that some of my family is still all right. I apologize for the burdening I'd had to speak. Paragraph. [00:37:47] Speaker A: You know, the funniest part about the birds thing, now that I know it's birds everywhere except for Yori, is that Mama knew that and named all of her children after birds. She made that choice to do that [00:38:02] Speaker B: certainly was a choice. [00:38:05] Speaker A: She loves a theme. [00:38:10] Speaker B: This has certainly given me a lot. [00:38:15] Speaker A: Yes. Since that you are not terrible and are kind of cool still, I thought it is good then to let you know that or whether to invite you into if you want to be a part of the ultimate dealing with. Of unbroken Venice in this. I don't know when or specifically how yet. We are still sort of throwing around ideas. But if you want to be a part of it, you may. And if you would rather not be a part of it, which I understand, then that is okay as well. [00:38:56] Speaker B: Nothing would make me happier than ruining Paloma's day. [00:39:03] Speaker A: I am learning so much about my siblings. [00:39:08] Speaker B: We never got along and it has just continued. [00:39:16] Speaker A: You know, I guess sometimes it's. It's nice to be justified in your disagreements. [00:39:24] Speaker B: I was too much like Mama and she was too much like Papa. [00:39:30] Speaker A: Ah, you know, maybe that's how it goes. Yeah. Then I would keep in touch. Also, you have come to plans. The current plan is none. Is non lethal, but is sort of perhaps unethical. So, you know, [00:39:53] Speaker B: I'm very okay with unethical things. [00:39:57] Speaker A: Okay, that's good. Or I guess it's not bad. Or I don't know. I've been sort of having a moral crisis for like the last three months. So it's fine. [00:40:12] Speaker B: I understand. When I learned any things, I also had a bit of a crisis. [00:40:20] Speaker A: Yeah, it is ongoing. Oh, but you know, have you heard about my engagement? [00:40:30] Speaker B: Yes. The many people in the city have the gossip mills. Love to talk about Europe. [00:40:39] Speaker A: You know what? This is a nice change of pace. I'm not going to lie. So the engagement not real. The relationship superior. Just FYI. [00:40:50] Speaker B: Well, I'm glad you finally bit the bullet. [00:40:54] Speaker A: Yeah, it's pretty great. [00:40:59] Speaker B: I'm going to need to get paste. I haven't talked to him in years. But I'm going to owe him five gold. [00:41:10] Speaker D: From 10ft away. Two away. Yuri was still talking this and like chokes on their drink. I think to the like the person that I was talking to is like maybe too caught up in their story. I think Yuri specifically chose a very chatty person. So they're just like you're choking on water anyways. But they compose themselves to not cause too much of a scene. They don't want to be seen by this sibling. [00:41:43] Speaker A: Oh, it was very tempted to get the money for you. Decides that's your problem. Yeah, that's. I think everything that she had to do here. So [00:41:59] Speaker B: yeah, you can spend some time catching up with your sister. [00:42:03] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:42:04] Speaker B: And sort of relaying. And Vittorio will also talk about the curse, especially what he knows. And get her up to speed on all of that. Because of her connections, she might be able to get information that you can't. [00:42:24] Speaker A: Now I know the recruitment roles went badly. What is she. What are her opinions on anathema? [00:42:35] Speaker B: She likes it. She likes it. You know, theoretically could become a lieutenant if you asked. [00:42:43] Speaker A: You know, I think I will. I think I will give her that gesture of trust and ask if she wants to be a part of this. [00:42:50] Speaker B: Yeah. And she will say yes. And you will get a. You will get a lieutenant. [00:42:55] Speaker A: Hey. Making up for my failures. [00:43:03] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:43:04] Speaker B: You all eventually say your goodbyes. Peregrine says she's going to be in town for a while. So if you need help, just call. [00:43:15] Speaker D: Yuri tells this nice person that I am very sorry. I actually go to college somewhere else [00:43:22] Speaker B: or wearing the Ravenswood uniform. [00:43:25] Speaker D: But you are too good for most of people that you are paying attention to be better about who you talk to. You could do so much better. The world is yours. Just over the next six months. Bye. [00:43:43] Speaker B: They're just really confused. [00:43:47] Speaker A: Next six months. Yuri, I think we can win. Even though our last fight was really hard. Hard and a little out of our league. We did win ultimately. So like we can clearly take on the tyrant. These two things are equivocal. Clearly. [00:44:06] Speaker D: Obviously. [00:44:09] Speaker B: Do you have time? Who would like to go next with what you would like to do I would Lara, what would you like to do? What else would I like to do? [00:44:20] Speaker E: Alistair needs to write a letter by the way, who has the best handwriting? I want to imagine and it's Nile [00:44:31] Speaker G: Nile has horrible handwriting doctor handwriting oh [00:44:35] Speaker F: that I'm gonna roll a D20 to see how good their handwriting is I didn't think about this fun fact so I'm gonna find out right now how good my handwriting is Probably a noble [00:44:44] Speaker A: in terms of they probably had to take like handwriting tutoring but apparently very, very good secretly Nile, let's go secretly [00:44:53] Speaker F: at 8:18 on the dice Niall has very clean handwriting for some reason for [00:44:58] Speaker E: some reason yeah well, I, I, I think it comes from being a chef that's why my first thought was I would go to Nile as somebody who [00:45:06] Speaker B: works in the service industry [00:45:10] Speaker D: no, I [00:45:11] Speaker A: do not those two so, so curious what that means but professional letter writing [00:45:18] Speaker C: is a job but I don't know if it would be I mean it would, it would make sense for it to be a job in Knox Light argue but like also it would make sense that the rich defunded it at some point because professional letter writing was [00:45:32] Speaker F: meant for poor people I think their personal notes are messy but they were taught by their loving dead moms to write very clean when they have to so they can write really clean if they have to, you know? [00:45:44] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:45:45] Speaker F: Life skill to have your moms are dead. [00:45:47] Speaker E: I'll be honest, I was just thinking about. I bet it would be like a crafting check. Yeah so Niall would be the. Anyway, Nile, I need somebody to take dictation for me can you help me out? [00:46:04] Speaker F: Oh, of course. [00:46:06] Speaker E: Thank you. It's very important. I, I need to send this letter okay, I'm gonna go and I actually wrote this out because Alistair would [00:46:19] Speaker F: so. [00:46:19] Speaker E: Dear Headmaster, I am glad you have seen the error of your ways in this dark time. In my time at the university, I attempted to warn you of the dark forces conspiring against us and I am pleased to welcome you to join us in this most important fight. I hope you have also reconsidered my thesis on the true nature of the unified magical theory While many of my experiments ended in failure Occasional explosions but never any casualties I can only assume that you're witnessing my masterful magical skills on the battlefield has convinced you of my academic excellence should you choose to do so, I would happily accept a doctorate and fellowship as proper recompense for the shame you brought on my name with your baseless allegations of quackery I do air quotes as I say this, and being barely capable of casting a cantrip, I'll have you know that I have recently found I am the inheritor of a magnificent heritage of wizardry spanning back decades, if not centuries. Should you join me in my. You should join me in my wizard tower, if you could. Was it? Should you, Nile. You should. Good, good, good. Yeah. Where was I? Oh, yes, you should. Now, what was the last thing I wrote? [00:47:58] Speaker F: You should join me at my wizard tower is the last sentence I wrote. [00:48:02] Speaker E: That's right. That's right. Thank you. You're excellent scribe. You should join me in my wizard tower for tea sometimes. I promise to allow you to pass the glorious magical protections my ancestor placed on the premises. But I digress. I have been hard at work fighting as well as researching the children of the tyrant. I was unaware of the portal underneath the university and wish for you to provide the research materials you have on the nature of the magic at work. I believe I may be able to improve upon the spells or perhaps use them to further my research and better fight the tyrant. I trust you will think that upon these matters and come to the right decision. Cordially yours, Alistair Whiskerfield, great Mass detective and wizard extraordinaire. There we go. That. That should do it. What do you think, Niall? [00:49:03] Speaker F: Well, it's certainly an impassioned letter. You know what? Actually, such a grandiose speech shouldn't simply be heard by just me. You should tell the rest of the group about it. Like Graveling. Perhaps you would love to listen to this wonderful letter that you have planned to send internally. Not schizing me here, the internal thoughts like, I don't. I don't know if I should send this letter. [00:49:26] Speaker B: Please. [00:49:26] Speaker F: Graveling has more of a common sense of logic for this. Please go tell Graveling what you're saying. This is eternal. This is schism. Eternal panic. That's because of me here. [00:49:35] Speaker B: Yeah, I think. I think. I think he. I think he might get murdered for saying some of those things. [00:49:41] Speaker F: I think you should definitely resource this to Grave Wing and everyone else in our group, Yuri and Laith as well. They should be privy to the wonderful thoughts in your head and perhaps have some words of wisdom on the topic as well, being a core part of our group, just like you are. So I suggest you recite it to them as well. And I'll be sure to keep a good hold on this letter until then. Do I have to roll a persuasion check? [00:50:14] Speaker E: I. I think this is a great idea and I don't see any irony at all. There's no way that you're trying to like, either get them to laugh at me or. And. Or try to talk me into not sending it. So I will happily go, you know, do the little rat pop signature. [00:50:37] Speaker F: Certainly not to mock you or anything, but rather an excellent audience as well. Perhaps having your content peer reviewed as well would be a good thing. You can never just write a thesis on your own. And likewise, many of my recipes are built from others experiences as well. [00:50:54] Speaker E: So I will. I will go and I will share this excellent masterpiece of a letter with everyone. [00:51:04] Speaker F: Now, I was realizing I can't just give it to grave one because she can't read. So I'm gonna get Alistair to recite it perfectly. This is my magnum opus of tactics. [00:51:13] Speaker E: I'm playing 5D chess with much gusto. I will like. You know, I will like. I've been rehearsing this in my head for, you know, a day or so. Like I have other important things to do as well. But this is. This letter is very important. [00:51:36] Speaker C: So you say all of that to us because you're reading it? Like to what? Wait, like us as in everybody? Right. [00:51:41] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:51:42] Speaker E: Yeah, [00:51:48] Speaker C: I like it. I mean, I'm not sure. I'm not sure. What's his name again? [00:52:02] Speaker B: Andreas. [00:52:05] Speaker C: Yes. Thank you, Victorio. I don't think he's gonna like it that much, but I don't care what he likes. [00:52:14] Speaker E: Well, he's seen the error of his ways. It will be. He'll have a hard time coming to terms with it, but I'm sure, you know, he'll. At the very least, even if he won't give me the doctorate I know I deserve, I think he'll give us the research materials he has on that ELD portal. [00:52:37] Speaker F: Does the doctorate mean that much to you? [00:52:43] Speaker E: Well, then I could be the doctor Great Mouse detective in wizard extraordinaire. [00:52:53] Speaker F: Okay, I'm gonna leave to do something. [00:52:57] Speaker G: Well, I agree with getting information from him. I'm not sure if you want to tie your identity as Alistair the student to the work we do as anathema in writing [00:53:12] Speaker A: that. [00:53:15] Speaker E: But, I mean, he saw me. There's. There's only so many rat wizards. I know. He recognized my brilliance on the battlefield. [00:53:27] Speaker C: Yeah, but it's like incriminating to have it on paper. [00:53:31] Speaker D: Yeah. And don't. Don't get me wrong. I was there. I love this. However, I do think maybe wait until after everything about the doctorate. We can't be the only persons people that have snooped in Raven's raven the academy. So we don't want the great rat detective to be tied back to us right now. We. I could guarantee you we could get you that doctorate, just not right now. [00:54:09] Speaker C: You know, I fully believe you deserve it. But look, man, that old fuck powerful wizard. Didn't put anything. [00:54:25] Speaker A: Just. [00:54:26] Speaker C: I. I'm still really, really upset about. About that last fight. Just. Just the logistics of it. [00:54:32] Speaker A: Oh, I have a headache. [00:54:34] Speaker C: Motherfucker's 200 years old. I thought. Come on. Like, it just. I've. He's totally, absolutely, probably gonna fall back into it on a bad day, and I just don't want him to be like, oh, buddy, buddy with Cygnus and the rest of his dogs. And then you have. You've given him a piece of paper that, like, fully doxes you. You know, He's like, he's on our side now, but I'm pretty sure one bad day and he won't be, because that's how little faith I have in him. [00:55:16] Speaker E: So what if I leave off the stuff about. Specifically about our fight? He knows. He saw me. I could be vague on that. [00:55:27] Speaker D: He. [00:55:27] Speaker E: He saw my, like, awesome spells. I did so much damage with that spell character. I did so much damage with that spell. I can leave off the specifics about the fight and the tyrant and all this stuff that's going on, but I do think we should get information, like, about what's going on with those portals. So what if I just. I'll leave off the stuff about the fight. I'll leave on. I can't get rid of the stuff about the doctorate. [00:56:07] Speaker B: He. [00:56:07] Speaker E: He needs to respect me, especially barely able to cast a can trip with. Okay, Those were his exact words. [00:56:17] Speaker D: What if we have this conversation in person? Not written and easily traced. [00:56:30] Speaker C: Yeah, in person. You can give him a full earful, and I can stand right beside you. [00:56:36] Speaker D: Yeah. I'll join. You'll have. You'll have a grief and good eye right behind you. [00:56:44] Speaker E: Out of character. I would rather do it as a letter because I am better at writing things down. IRL and just talking. [00:56:57] Speaker C: I write most of my shit down that I say. Don't worry. Like, me too. It's like you can write down what you want to say and then say it. We're just, like, worried about the logistics of a paper trail. [00:57:11] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:57:12] Speaker E: Okay. I. I can see it. Maybe we. We can have a meeting. Probably after the prison break. [00:57:21] Speaker D: Yeah, after all the illegal crimes are about to do. [00:57:24] Speaker A: Mm. [00:57:26] Speaker C: I mean, like, I would like. I like the idea of setting up the a. A Meeting and whatnot. It could be at your tower if you really want to drop that much info on him. But I mean, like, it would give him a reason to leave, right? That's a really big flex. And it could also just be back at the academy. Either or is is good with me. I like the idea of setting up a meeting so that way you can plot out what you want to say and have backup for when you say the most outrageous ever. [00:57:55] Speaker E: If we did it at the tower, then he would have to stoop before me. Yeah, because everything's rat sized. [00:58:04] Speaker C: You. [00:58:05] Speaker A: You doing all right, Alistair? [00:58:09] Speaker E: I. [00:58:16] Speaker D: Just. [00:58:17] Speaker E: Getting kicked out of the academy was difficult. [00:58:27] Speaker C: No, you worked hard to get in. I get it. We just gotta pick our time and place, that's all. [00:58:37] Speaker E: I'll hold you to it. Let's get back to that planning. [00:58:44] Speaker C: So badly do I want to see this man sitting on rat sized furniture getting yelled at by the Mouse Detective. It's a really good image for me. [00:58:57] Speaker A: Okay. [00:59:00] Speaker E: Thank you for listening to my TED Talk out of character. I just knew that in character I would want to send a really wordy letter, so. Appreciate Yalls patience. [00:59:11] Speaker G: Of course. [00:59:11] Speaker F: Can I pop my head and be like Alistair, for clarification, when you say you want a doctorate, do you want like a real legitimate document or do you want like a doctorate? That looks nice. [00:59:28] Speaker E: I will. I don't have a. I will go into the long diatribe of whatever the equivalent of the. Oh, what do you call it? The certification process that universities go through in this land is accreditation. Accreditation. Yeah, but it'll be like all like super obscure big words that you've never heard of. So I'm just like, yab, like yabbering at you. Yabbering. [01:00:04] Speaker F: I will take notes and then I will look at Leith and be like, hey, can I borrow you for a minute? [01:00:13] Speaker A: Nods. [01:00:15] Speaker F: And that's a different scene. So finish up here. [01:00:21] Speaker E: Yeah, I think that's a good place to leave it and get back to our other things. [01:00:31] Speaker G: Keep pulling me away. Niall. You got a request? [01:00:34] Speaker F: I do. So I knew that for Alistair, his graduation was very important, and I know it means a lot to him. So you are very good with, you know, working with your hands and stuff like that. And I was wondering, I'm not sure if you want something decorative or something, you know, forged illegally. Would. Would you potentially help me check the ethics of forging a document for him? Or if I should make a cute gift that says the number one mouse detective is a very pretty certification or actually forger documents saying he graduated from. For the school. [01:01:14] Speaker G: I mean, I don't think it's a question of ethics, really. [01:01:20] Speaker F: Do you think. Do you think that would be a better option for him to. [01:01:24] Speaker A: To. [01:01:24] Speaker F: To forge a document or to make him a gift? [01:01:28] Speaker G: I think it's better. I think that what he really wants is the recognition from the school. And if we're going to be interacting with Ravenswood again, then forging a document and having Ravenswood talk down to him in later conversations isn't going to be any good. You could just go to the academy and threaten him. I mean, we fixed his fuck up enough that we have the capital to spend on it. [01:02:00] Speaker F: Theoretically, we could definitely go threaten them, but do we really want to make more enemies? Right now [01:02:09] Speaker G: would be a friendly, threatening. I mean, one PhD. What. What does that cost them? [01:02:23] Speaker F: Are you. Are you confident this is a good decision? Because I don't think it is. It's about the same energy as mailing that letter off. [01:02:37] Speaker G: I'm happy to forge one if you want. I'm just saying that if Ravenswood doesn't act in accordance with the respect Alistair might expect after getting that document, it might be more disheartening. [01:03:01] Speaker F: I think you might be right that forging it might not be a good idea. It has to come from their hands, potentially not with direct threats, but you're good at indirectly threatening people in fun ways. [01:03:15] Speaker G: Speaking of which, I need a favor. [01:03:20] Speaker F: Yes, [01:03:24] Speaker G: and Leith will lay out the favor she needs, which is just like cooking something. [01:03:29] Speaker F: Oh, of course. That's easy. And now we'll notice the, like, recipe and stuff and be like, is this for Lou? [01:03:40] Speaker G: Maybe. [01:03:42] Speaker F: Okay, well, hypothetically, if it was for Lou, I know what spices and such that she likes the most. So hypothetically, would it be for Lou? [01:03:52] Speaker G: Hypothetically, yes. [01:03:54] Speaker F: Okay, well, hypothetically, I'll keep that in mind. And hypothetically, will you need something to eat as well? [01:04:03] Speaker G: I suppose. I mean, yes. [01:04:06] Speaker F: Okay, well, two tailored meals should be, hypothetically, completely fine. [01:04:15] Speaker G: Oh, just. They need to be able to travel just like a picnicky. Whatever. [01:04:22] Speaker F: Something travel worthy. I see. Okay. I can work with that. Any other requests? [01:04:30] Speaker G: That's it. Don't tell anyone about it. [01:04:36] Speaker F: Of course. I'm glad that you two are confronting your feelings one way or another. None of my business, though. I'll just make the meal. [01:04:46] Speaker G: Thank you. And if you need anything else forged, I'm happy to help. Or talk you out of it. [01:04:54] Speaker F: Of course. Of course. Say, would the title of the greatest mouth detective for a fake. Obviously fake, but very embellished and nice. Looking document be good for Alistair. [01:05:08] Speaker G: I mean, it seems like something he'd appreciate. [01:05:11] Speaker F: You know, the great mouse detective of the Anathema itself would be quite a nice title. Even if Ravens would won't give him one. [01:05:18] Speaker G: We could again, putting that onto paper [01:05:23] Speaker F: seems like a better place. Maybe I won't put his name on it. Maybe I'll just say number one great mouse detective. I will not leave the anathema part on it. You are correct on that. [01:05:34] Speaker B: One star. [01:05:36] Speaker A: A gold star. [01:05:37] Speaker F: It's gonna look very pretty. There'll be some pictures of cheese on it. [01:05:41] Speaker B: Says good job. [01:05:43] Speaker F: All right, well, I got some crafting to do. It seems I got two things to craft. [01:05:47] Speaker G: Hell yeah. [01:05:49] Speaker F: May I? [01:05:54] Speaker B: Sure. [01:05:55] Speaker F: So the first thing I'd like to make is a gift for Alistair, which is not forged, but it's a very decorative document. Says number one greatest mouse detective ever with a bunch of sparkles on it and looks very pretty. Doesn't look official by any means. I'm not trying to fool anyone. It's just. It's the Alistair award for being a great team member and being very smart. [01:06:22] Speaker B: Sure, if you want to roll crafting. [01:06:24] Speaker F: Yippee. The second one is a meal, but this one, I don't get the meal bonus to it. That is a 34 for Alistair Whiskerfield's wonderful document. [01:06:46] Speaker B: Yeah, it's. It's very nice. You spend time on it. [01:06:52] Speaker F: Oh, Alistair, [01:06:56] Speaker E: you actually use that voice. Cuz that was kind of creepy. [01:07:01] Speaker F: Yes. [01:07:03] Speaker B: Oh no. Oh no. This is the moment that he starts to eat me. [01:07:09] Speaker E: I've been waiting for this moment. [01:07:12] Speaker A: So scared. [01:07:13] Speaker G: Yes. [01:07:13] Speaker F: Walks. Walks in the door. Happy Alistair holding a staff like the bow and arrow, like. Oh God. But. Well, you said that having that documentation was important to you. And unfortunately I am not a member of Ravenswood Academy. And quite frankly, they're very foolish for not seeing your intelligence. But as your party member for many endeavors, I have seen nothing but your genius and intelligence in finding all sorts of amazing and wonderful information for us. So I would like to humbly declare upon you and I'll give him the document to say the number one greatest, most detective degree. [01:07:56] Speaker E: I look at it with first a moment of confusion and then a moment of kind of inspecting the. The quality of this thing that you have made and thinking about. And I boggle. And I am just so incredibly thankful. Can I give you a hug? [01:08:31] Speaker F: Oh, of course. [01:08:33] Speaker E: I give you a huge hug. There are too many mouths. And is it slightly slimy? I don't recall the specific, but I don't care in this moment because I am so happy with this certificate of awesomeness. [01:08:57] Speaker F: Well, I am very glad that you enjoy it. Be sure to frame it. I have quite a bit of work to do, so take care of yourself. I'm going to crack my knuckles and I'm going to cook wonderful meal for the gays that I just learned are dating after three weeks. Because now this. Pay attention. I'm happy now. I was like, oh, they're dating. Damn, that's pretty cool. Anyways, time to cook. [01:09:22] Speaker B: Yeah. Yuri, is there anything you want to do during this time? [01:09:34] Speaker D: I think they are very like too stressed to like, purposely go out. If anything. If anything, they probably would go for a drink and maybe like, you know, you know. What, what's, what's. [01:09:51] Speaker F: What's. [01:09:52] Speaker D: What's Oscar doing running the bar? Yeah. [01:09:57] Speaker B: I mean, you convince them that. You could try to convince them not to. You could fit some. Try to take a night off. [01:10:05] Speaker D: I don't know if they want to do all that, but they wouldn't mind talking to Oscar. But like, I mean, yeah, it's his job. [01:10:13] Speaker B: Yeah, you can. You could chat with him. [01:10:18] Speaker D: Yeah, I think Yuri would go to the bar to see and just. Like wave an Oscar and be like, so you. How are you doing? Sorry, that was. That was weird. Missing. I'm tired. [01:10:44] Speaker B: Yeah, you've certainly. You've had better pickup lines. He says as he places your. Your favorite drink before you look. [01:10:54] Speaker D: Yes. But in all sincerity, how our you're doing? How's things been with, you know, everything? [01:11:10] Speaker B: Things have been getting better actually. Especially, you know, got the crone hammer back gestures and Lorelei is all over the place and incredibly stressed. But for once it feels like we actually did something that'll make people's lives better. [01:11:34] Speaker D: Good. That's. That's genuinely good to hear. Yeah. [01:11:45] Speaker B: We did notice that coin guard are completely given the. The district, not necessarily cold shoulder, but they're keeping out of the district. And I don't know if that's good or bad. [01:12:04] Speaker D: Well, that's probably only something we'll know long term. Probably useful just not to have them here now, I guess. [01:12:14] Speaker B: Yeah. How are you? [01:12:25] Speaker D: Well, you know, not great. But that, you know, it's. It comes with dealing with everything, I suppose. [01:12:44] Speaker B: Yeah, it's. It's a lot just knowing everything can get to you. Sometimes you just gotta take a net off and try and forget the sword of Damocles hanging over our head. [01:13:00] Speaker D: Yeah, I want to try doing that. It's just, you know, I feel it's more than Damocles over my head. I feel I'm just constantly. And feel free to agree with this. I would not be upset about it. I constantly just feel like I'm making everyone's lives around me worse. And you know, look, I. I've done a lot of here and I've done the unfortunate thing of living in the same place that I trashed, but you can't exactly smooth things over and pretend everything's okay with everyone you've heard along the way. I guess [01:13:56] Speaker B: sometimes you just gotta understand that you've hurt people and done bad things and you might never get closure for that. You just gotta move on. [01:14:07] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:14:07] Speaker B: Live your life. Try and be better. Look, I'm not one to talk. I was part of a group of thieves and assassins. I've killed people. I've killed many people. But at the same time, run this place. Give people a place to relax and forget their worries for a little while. So that's my way of balance things. Bit of dark, bit of light balance. [01:14:50] Speaker D: You've been the best bartender I've ever seen. Just gotta say, I just, you know, and I mean this sincerely and understand it means nothing, but I am sorry for just all the secrets, you know, they've held. I'm kind of realizing at this point, if I just started talking about Yuri kind of does emotion of like horns growing from their head, like would have just made my life easier, but I just under depression, I had to deal with myself and then, you know, made everyone lives worse. So. [01:15:33] Speaker B: Look, I'm. I'm not gonna disagree with you there, but I do think you're beating yourself up for maybe things that weren't always in your control. Like you were obviously told that you shouldn't tell people about this curse your whole life, right? [01:15:53] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:15:58] Speaker B: So, yeah, it makes sense that you hit it for a bunch of people. Like you were like, your parents were telling you this stuff when you were like a kid that like you had to keep it secret [01:16:11] Speaker D: also like, you know, can't exactly just tell people. Oh, by the way, I turned into a murderous weird stagger [01:16:22] Speaker B: a step up from the werewolves. I know. [01:16:25] Speaker D: Yeah, I guess, [01:16:28] Speaker B: you know, werewolves. Werewolves exist and you could just be like, yeah, it's some weird were curse. I would have bought it. [01:16:39] Speaker C: Yeah, [01:16:42] Speaker B: no, but past is past. [01:16:49] Speaker E: We have a little bit of future [01:16:50] Speaker B: ahead of us before, you know, the. Our scheduled end. [01:16:57] Speaker D: So hey, let's. Let's not even call it the end. Let's just call it a speed bump at this point at least. Hopefully with how things are going. [01:17:06] Speaker B: Hopefully. Yeah. [01:17:08] Speaker D: You know, and Yuri's gonna raise their glass and psych to trying to make things better. I guess [01:17:16] Speaker B: a little bit of dark, little bit of light make him better. We'll clink your glass with one of his own. [01:17:24] Speaker D: Don't tell le about me being all self flagellating. I'll never hear the end of it. I appreciate you, of [01:17:36] Speaker A: course. [01:17:38] Speaker B: Enjoy your night. Try and have some fun. The world out there is horrible and painful and all of that. But look around this place. One place it's not. People are happy. Got to find. You got to take that happiness wherever you can find it and hold on to it because we don't get a lot of it. [01:18:12] Speaker D: Thank you, Oscar. [01:18:14] Speaker B: Yeah. Go find your happiness. [01:18:20] Speaker D: Yuri won't. But they won't leave. [01:18:29] Speaker A: To see. Sacrifice My heart keeps on beating Take my head we must face it again. See. [01:19:46] Speaker B: I.
